Right. Call the January 21st meeting to order. Please join me in the pledge of allegiance. I aliance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> John, will you please take roll call? >> James present. >> Randy present. Kayla >> Absent. John here. Jason >> present. >> Alicia >> present. >> Thank you. John approve the agenda. Do have a motion. >> So move. >> Motion by Jamie. Do you have a second? >> Second by John to approve the agenda. All in favor, please indicate by saying I. >> I. >> Same sign. >> All right. Uh, new business. Item eight. Uh, approve the integrated security system bid action item. Based on the results of the integrated

security system bids, IT director Jeff Jensen along with superintendent Sandu and director of finance uh design recommend accepting a bid from at a cost of so right now we'll have some presentation from Mr. Jensen and Trisha. >> Okay. Oh, Jason, Trisha and I met yesterday at 1:00. uh that was to open the sealed bids. We received three bids uh from Alpha Wireless was one bid, Convergent was another, and USA Security was the third. To give a brief, let's go back to uh kind of where we started with this. That grant was written and awarded around what we wrote at the time that would be all the things we wanted single painted glass and the product that we kind of had put together at that point in time and using the dollar figures was Verata. How

did we get to Verka? If we look at uh the two vendors uh Alpha Wireless and Convergent uh proposed the Vigilon Alta system. It's a cloud-based system, same as the Vicata system, just a different name. So, in looking at these and writing my notes and and going through the mental exercise with myself, first off, yes, we would have to compare a vigilon against Verata. About a year ago, we did sit down and talk uh as a group uh John Templan, Brianna Corson, myself. We brought in our current vendor, USA Security. Talk to us about what we want to do and how can we apply for the grant. At that time, we demoed a visual on Alta. We have a visual on cameras here. Why not? It did not at that point in time meet the

single pane of glass, everything under one area. the alerts, uh, the data tracking, all that that we had hoped for, uh, provided it fell into our cost. Um, after that, Motorola put on an event at the USA, our US Bank Stadium, uh, also featuring a Vishaman Alta. So I was not able to make it that day but I had asked and both Brianna Corson and John Templan had went to this event at US Bank again giving a vigilant ala another look another presentation uh from whoever was hosting Motorola was at US Bank again it came up a little bit short of what our expectations and what we were asking for it again just didn't meet that criteria So we were not settled on a visual on Alta. So we asked for that second opinion. That's

where the Veric came in. So our USA security rep came out again and said, "Okay, let's push that one aside. Let's bring in another player in the field that also would be cloud-based and also and I believe could handle any and all these things that you want." So that's kind of where we're at on on the verata versus a vigilon Alta. If we look at the bids, and I have Alpha Wireless presented us two bids. Their base bid they're calling it came in at $283,52620. That entails we get to keep our cameras. That's awesome of them to let us do that. We get to keep our doors. They're going to add in a Rave panic system, which is their panic button equivalent. can be on a mobile phone, can be in many places. No single

pane of glass. So, because we have to keep the cameras that we have and the door system, remember that's what we said right now. That's two separate systems that we have to bounce back and forth. We're trying to get everything under one. They came back to us with an alternate bid of $380,1581. that is to replace the cameras, replace the doors, raise panic system, but yet they would bring it into a single pane of glass for us. So, they're going to achieve that for an additional 100,000. Convergent came along. This one is the best one ever. Not really. Uh 741, $39522. Silver Lake uh they broke it down for us would cost us 193,81627 keeping 15 of our cameras and replacing 36. Glenco 547,578 and 95 cents keeping 70 cameras replacing 101 removing and replacing

our S2 system. Those are the doors but again making sure we have our single pane of glass that we consistently kept asking for. USA Security came in with a bid of $482,137.38. If we look at that figure that again, USA Security is the vendor per uh showing us or demoing the VRATA system for us. The one that again we went we looked at a visual on Alta. We didn't think it met everything. Verata seemed to hit all the bells and whistles that we were looking for. When the initial grant was written for that, uh if you go back and look at the history of that, we had put together that grant. I believe it was 582,000. Uh remember it's we're only going to get 500, but we talked about making up for the difference of

that with well uh they came back to us now with a bid of 482, which is great news. that is significantly less than what we had presented falls under that 500,000 that we are awarded. We already have those funds. Um >> the grant is 375,000. >> It's a matching grant of which they pay 75, we pay 25. So once awarded, which we were, that means we have 375,000 from them. We just have to match the 25% of that. That comes up to that 500 grand. So that's good news because we don't have to scramble now and say, "Oh, now we got to come up with 63,000 more." I was very excited to see the bid come under the number that we had put in for the grant. So that's good news. Um, we got Bata

to be more aggressive on our pricing. Some things changed there. That doesn't matter to us. A salesman is a salesman. They're going to sell your product. But when we opened it up to that RFP process, they realized, whoa, there's some competition and we know they're going after and looking at a Vigilon Alta, which a Vigilon Alta in the in the researching that I've done is kind of starting at the level of that where Vicata is already at. So, uh, the biggest for us is the single pane of glass. The uh data tracking is the one that really comes back to me that we're able to trace people through our buildings without and Chris you can probably attest to how many times you search for something. It is labor intensive. This when we identify somebody John

walks in and want to know where John went all day long the system this one will say it'll just start populating pictures and saying here you go what do you want to know? Um so again Verata check those bells for us. Um the if I and again I have all the uh RFPs uh the proposals the quotes I made notes on my uh system evaluation matrix when Trisha and Jason and I met yesterday. Just a few points I'll bring out of what I kind of feel with as I looked down and made myself some notes. If we look at Alpha Wireless, I honestly I do not really know much about them other than they are a Motorola retail radio reseller who now has just recently gotten into the camera game. Okay. In the RFP, we

had stated we wanted a company with at least 5 years of selling native cloud security solution. Alpha Wireless cannot check that box for us. They don't have that experience yet. They were not here for the walkthrough. uh that walkthrough that we held for them uh for anyone that wanted to show up was strictly voluntary. So I'm not using that as okay, you're out. Motorola was here on their behalf. Uh and I'll just say that Motorola at that time were convergent and [clears throat] USA security took several notes, several pictures, asked many, many questions. I get looking at that saying that if Alpha Warehouse was not at the walkthrough and they're relying strictly on Motorola who did not take any notes as I could tell, how are we going to be confident in that installation bid

that it's going to meet everything that they say it does? How many change orders potentially would need to be called out on that bid because they weren't here and they just don't know what they would be up against? Um the rave panic system again a vigilanton alta is telling us that rave panic system can do everything we want again that's the panic button portion of the aiselon alta but when I research that I see that a vigilanton alulta is a cloud platform like we want but does not work with the rave system where the aigelon ultra does well that's a step up but they're quoting us the alta and that rave panic will come with that I don't necessarily know that it will based on my research. That's just the salesman saying, "Yes, it will.

It will do what you want it to do." Convergent. First off, I look at the price. No, thank you. Uh I then go back to what I've heard from our peers including the Motorola people that were here that day is that they don't have the strongest reputation and they themselves meaning Motorola would not recommend them as a vendor to say yes we would vouch for them to install our product. So pricing and that alone made it like well no no thank you. USA security. Uh again, uh that's the frata, the 482. I like the pricing uh on what they're offering. I like the fact that forata checks all the boxes for us. So, if I were to be asked uh for after doing all that, going through all this, doing all the research, what I

would recommend uh even if it was, well, let's throw out the low bid, which is Alpha Wireless. just throw out the high bid assuming that that middle one is in the range of what we can deal with and it is. So based on that and that it checks all the box my recommendation to you and looking for approval would be to go with the USA security vera solution. And that's that's about pretty much it in a nutshell from me unless you have questions that I can answer. So with the grant um we get 375. Would we still get 375 in this situation or would it be 7525 split for the 482? Do we know? >> Don't know. But >> well because we're already Jason and that is to me we've already got 500,000 because in

order to get the grant we had to promise the justice department that we would pitch in. So they've given us the 375. >> Okay. >> I would say we have a 375. >> It's in our main right now. >> Okay. Trisha can vouch for that, but I do believe that's there for us whenever we're ready. In fact, I think we got the first asking us what are you doing with the money uh last week. So, they part of the grant you have to okay, okay, here's what we're doing, here's what we spend, here's what our portion of it is. Um, what I would say is that if USA or any of the vendors, it doesn't have to be them, but if I look at the USA verata at somewhere off, not cents, not any of

that, but we have five, that leaves us with about 18 to play with. So, since we already are committed to the five, then I would say to that vendor that we choose, and in this case, using the figures from USA Security, what can we do for our 18,000 that isn't part of what you're quoting us, what would be some cameras that we could say as administrators, boy, you know, that one, it's an old camera. Let's upgrade that to the 4K. How much would that cost? To the tune of under the 18, but then we're right at that $500 mark. Um, that's what I would recommend because we have to spend what they've given us, I would think. >> And this just remind us all this. This helps us with our um computer server problems down

the road. >> Say what? >> Our servers. Our servers we're going to have to replace or this. The whole point of of Jason in doing this was we would have to replace those servers anyway. >> But to buy hardware in this day and age, everything is cloud. Everything's going to the cloud. >> So the servers if no matter which vendor we went with a visual, Alta, Verata, that's cloud-based, cloud-based, the servers go away. >> So the problem with those servers and the what we would have to invest in anyway is gone. It's all now part of this. And again, any cloud-based system positions the district better futuristically to continue to add on. Again, in my opinion, the verata positions the district better in the future than the avigilon alta would. It would still do a

visual I don't a vision alta will do some but not all of what we're asking it to do. So, does that answer the question? Okay. Jeff, with the Alpha Wireless, you mentioned the base and the alternate and some of the cameras would be able to be kept, some of them would need to be replaced with the USA security vera bid, [clears throat] what would we be saving as far as equipment and what would we be perhaps replacing? Do we know that with the USA security vera? The only thing so far that we're replacing and it is is inclusive in that 482. Our pan tilt zooms and our fish eyes are not compatible with fata. So within the bid they have the devices that would need to be replacing those. Does it mean that at the

end of the day we are going to have some old cameras still? Yes, we have many old cameras. and how we go about solving that in the future. Trish and I were kind of talking about this morning is that somehow someway it would be nice to have some money set aside for the continuous whether it's five bucks or whatever that amount would be to say, well, we're going to upgrade these two cameras or we're going to upgrade these devices. Um, so in either solution, any of the vendors, some are going to be able to go and I'm assuming when the official on Alta said we're getting rid of these, that was based on information they asked us to glean out of our systems and send to them, they like any vendor uh can tell boy

that's a really old camera. Um, we can tell when you look at it, the image is grainy and not as clear as some of our newer cameras. So, but as you can see from Alpha Wireless, they gave us a 4K camera option if we wanted to. So, for an additional 159,000, they could add 4K cameras as they replace them, which would be nice. 4K cameras are very nice and a very clear, easy to see what you're looking at picture. That help Jimmy? >> Yes, it does. Will any of the equipment be um traded in of any type of value and or is there a way to sell it to some entity that this may be an upgrade for them which sounds silly but you know maybe they have nothing compared to having something. Um I'll

pause there. The answer to that would be I don't know what I don't know at this point. But we have even our technology and our old PC systems. We are very much more fortunate to your point than other schools are. So we have helped the Lester Prairies the uh other schools that's where we can say here these are some PCs that are old for us that we retired out of the lab not usable for us anymore and they've come picked them up put together a lab on the slide for them. good. Um, when any of these vendors come in and whatever, whether it's the uh, and I'm not going to go back, but we're going to replace this many devices, we're going to well, those replacing of devices at the end of it when we

have everything on a pallet, I would say absolutely. If there is a market for that, if we can recoup even more money, then yes, that would be a good idea. Um, and certainly we probably could work with any of those vendors to say, "Okay, can you help us find somebody out there that in need or kind of where we were, can we help somebody else out?" So, I definitely think we should pursue and we will pursue that. Uh, it's just like I said, it's just another way of continuing to add money back if we can or they may be worth nothing, right? So, but we'll find that out too. >> Two more follow-ups that kind of go with that. Would there be an expenditure to dispose of if we can't sell or get some cooperation

from any of these um companies, would there be a disposal fee perhaps? Um, and then the other followup was, um, if any of this equipment is not compatible with the new, is there still a use for us with that equipment that isn't compatible, but that we could still perhaps use in another way? >> I don't know how we would use it in another way if not on our current system. So, I would answer that as far as the disposal piece to it. I always push back on any of our vendors to that's on you. You know, if you're going to come here, it's kind of like when I buy a new appliance at home, okay? I spent a lot of money on that thing. So, you take the old one and you get it out

of here. And if there's any money that I can make out of that, cool. Um, so I would be a very much of an advocate of pushing back again on any of those vendors to say, okay, once that's all done, if I can't have a market for it and sell it, then you as part of this deal we just made, make it go away. Uh, and dispose of it on your dime, not on our dime. I think with any of them, uh, whether we spend the four or five or 700,000 for us, that's a lot of money. So the least you could do is to take those however many devices you remove and eat that portion of it and they may already have a disposal thing at their dis or we do not. I know

we're fortunate a lot on older technology here if there's no market for us to sell it or there's no school looking to have what we need to get rid of. We do have companies that'll come out here and grab it, but for them that that's a profit. It's like a junkyard. They can take them strip out all the parts out of it, the copper, the this, the that. They're they're making bank. So, I'm sure they're very happy to come and pick up that stuff from us. So, did I did I answer both? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Thank you. [clears throat] >> Good questions. >> What would be the time frame of getting this all done? Is there an idea? >> Oh, boy. No. No. Okay. >> I mean, before the 27 school year. >>

Well, first off, let me Yeah, she's already cringing. Okay. First off, this is and this is important. I'm glad somebody asked that question because I thought maybe I hoped I said it but then I hope you didn't miss that. Remember that part of that uh process that we pushed to have this all done was hey we want to wrap it up by January 30th so we need all these discounts back. Good intentions. It only worked on verata to be honest with you on Alta said it is what it is. Uh okay. Um the Vicata came back and that's where they came back and said $113,650 you can save if you order before that date. If we don't well we still have the grant's not going to go away. That money is ours. But my concern

then and I expressed as she's cringing is that that 113 flips the other direction. Well, in February now that price went probably back up to what we originally put out there and kind of as a group said, "Yeah, let's do that." That would have been the 580. So, if there's any way, and I've already had these email conversations with Trisha to say, is there any way we can put a down payment to them? Is there any way we can do anything? Um, I have not because I haven't been told like, "Yep, this is the one we want to go with." D of all of them, the one that's been with us the longest, if if that was that's something I think we should reach out, whether it's Trish or somebody to say, "We want it.

We love it. We don't want to lose that discount. So, what do we need to do?" I'm hopeful as always that relationships like that that we make with people, they're like, "I I trust you and here's what we can do. We're going to get your product. you don't have to worry about that. We know you've got the grant dot dot dot. We're not at that point yet. But if that answers your question, yeah, I if we don't pull that trigger in some shape, form or fashion, that's my concern is that discount that and I'm going back to the vicata 482,000 that's off the table. The product is still there. We can still get it, but that price has gone up. And so vendors, I mean, that's Pricata is trying to get us to get their

year-end deal and and Okay, cool. And I love the fact that they're going to try that to the tune of 113. I'm all on that. That's that's good news. That's not good news. That's not really, but Okay. Any other questions? USA security, correct? Do I have to do I have to add the other in there? Pardon? >> Do I have to add if >> they have the name? >> No, no, no, no, no. Security is fine. >> Yeah. I mean, if if you're looking for that recommendation and what I would say to do, I would say the USA security, which means the verata solution, not the official. >> So, in our in our packet here, we'll put USA at a cost of 485,000 or whatever. >> Are you making that motion, John? Yeah. >> Are

you making that motion? >> Yes. Okay. Do I have a second? I'll second. So, I have a motion um by John, second by Randy. Uh based on the results of the integrated security system bids, IT director Jeff Johnson along with superintendent s director of finance z recommend accepting a bid from USA security at the cost of $482,137.38. Right. Correct. All right. Any other discussion on this motion? >> One final question. So, our budget does support the matching grant component. Yes or no? >> For this year, it does not, but I think I can work it in. It might be I mean, we always have those little things set aside um in the budget that we don't use. Um, so if we can if we need to spend half of it this year and half of

it next year, I think we'll be perfectly fine. Um, >> when you say this year, you're talking about June 30th. >> June 30th, correct? So, you know, like if we need to come up >> No, June 30th. Our school year. >> Our school our fiscal year. >> Our physical year school. >> Oh, I'm just still going out with >> Yeah. No. So, if we would need to spend half, you know, if we could do half in FY26 and then FY27, I think we're going to be perfectly fine. If we need to come up with the full amount, I think it'll be it'll be very close, but I think again, I'm confident that we'll still be able to be around that balance. We do have some extra savings right now, you know, unfortunately of not finding

an IT person. you know, we're having those savings still. Um, not having an SRO for fulltime either right now. So, we are >> we could use that money for this cuz this would fall right in line with that extra money. >> I mean, correct. So, like if we need to come up with some, but you need to remember that safe schools, we only get a certain dollar amount, which if we ever have an SRO, it barely for a full year, it barely covers it. Correct. So, I mean, looking back, like if we can just at least put a little cushion every year, so that way we don't need to go into a different fund. Um, but I think, you know, looking at the pricing, you know, if it's if we do have to pay 25%,

that's 120,000. If [clears throat] we only have to pay, you know, what the difference is between the grant and what the final cost, that's 108,000. I think when this first came about, I think we were looking at the district was needing to come up with like 175,000, which [clears throat] is a lot more. So, I think that we it'll be able to work in and be done. >> Would that money that we approved was that last weeks ago or that was it something? >> That's for roofing. >> That's for the roofing. That's disrup. >> No. >> Jamie, did you have something? >> Yep. Who's going to be the point person that will reach out if this passes to the entity to see if the pricing um holds and once again start building those relationships. How's

how's that going to look? Who will be the contact person doing that? I think that's going to [clears throat] be Jeff will be mostly the contact person with that. I'm going to keep probably both of us because Jeff knows more of the IT part where I don't and I'll be the financial. I'm the one that is set up with grant the justice grant right now. I'm the one that's going to be submitting the invoices, submitting all the dollar amounts. So, it's going to be mostly both of us. Yes. I would very confidently state to that um based again on a relationship we've had with them, they'll work with us. At to what extent I do not know, but I do know that they will work with us. They they value our relationship as much as

we do with them. uh to what extent I don't but I can make that initial contact and then basically turn it over between uh Chris Daniels who is our rep at USA security and I and then come to some kind of a the biggest thing is and like I said I haven't reached out to him to say one you got it awarded because I didn't know that um but after this whatever vendor it is whatever we decide as our project timeline yes now those conversations have to start this one being imperative that we don't want to lose on any shape or fashion that price of 482. That is huge compared to again a year ago was 582. Now we got a 100,000 off. Well, hello. So, um I I'll reach out, but I feel again

confident that they will work with the district. How and to what extent I do not know. Uh but I I feel that it's something we can work out with them. Um that would be I don't I don't know that part. >> One one more question kind of going back to Ry's question about timeline. So just for clarification one more time. There isn't necessarily a timeline yet established until this is approved. Then we can kind of go the next step. But we don't necessarily have a time frame of this is when they're moving in to start removal and installation. This is now the the date of full operation of the new system. We don't necessarily have that type of a time frame yet. >> The only time frame we have it has to be done by

September of 2028. >> It's a three-year grant. So tech. >> So it Yes. So it has to be done by that time that for the money that's part of the cop's grant. Okay. >> But as for a timeline of set thing, >> there is no timeline currently because of we have to figure out what the what vendor correct >> to figure out what they can do and that. So >> okay, one thing I will add on to that is um the lensure is uh date sensitive. So what that means is we at any point in time and so let's say we can do this before that January 30th we can take a discount we can hold the 482 let's just say that's a given the moment we say that the clock starts ticking on our

lensure so it's a five-year agreement and we asked for that RFP every one of the vendors came back and said yep we'll do that but that starts now so the minute you shake hands sign off on the agreement year. So, say we waited till, god forbid we did, but 2028, three years from now we start the project. Well, they're we're only down to two more years on the cameras and they will each have to have that lensure added to them that allows them to speak with the ricotta cloud connectors. A vision also would have to have their component also loaded and any lensure like I said that starts immediately upon the signing of a contract. You [clears throat] can't postpone that. So that would be the only thing I would add to that is that

otherwise no timelines because they usually work with us to work on projects during breaks that we have during the year so that they don't interrupt staff and our business of educating uh or summer. Uh so the minute it's locked in, they'll start on their calendar to say, "Hey, we'll be here here doing this. We'll be here in the summer doing that." And then it'll just kind of progress it way to completion. So, so another followup question that I'm thinking of with regard to the information you just shared with regard to the lensure that it's a five-year lensure. Um, when that lensure expires, it's up for a renewal. Is that correct? >> Correct. >> And the renewal of that is that in certain increments like is it always a fiveyear or is the grant kind of

making it to be a fiveyear up front or what is that? This is only one time and we had actually proposed that within the grant. So all the pricing that we put in initially that cost was at a fiveyear warranty. The minute that fiveyear warranty is done, it becomes you do whatever you want. You can go down to a one year. I just want to do one year. I want to do a multi-year. Typically with multi-year you are going to save money. But it's that thing that when Trish and I sit down to do our budget meetings, it's like well here's if we do it for one, here's if we do it for two, here's if we do it for three. what do you want to do? And then working with her on what she

knows and fits in those pieces. You let's do a five because that'll that's but they're negotiable. This one when we signed because they're proposing the fiveyear, we would be at a 5year license, which is good. We don't have to worry about the system for 5 years. >> Okay. So, just so that I'm understanding what I'm hearing you say synonyms, I'm hearing you say license and warranty. They're interchangeable. I mean that's one in the same >> is that right? >> Everything we're purchasing from them is 5 year. So whether it's the warranty on the hardware itself if it's a new piece of hardware they're not going to like these older cameras. Yeah. But the lensure to run that old camera on the cloud that is one piece a hardware license if they replace like the pan

tilt zooms any of that again that's going to be that 5year warranty that we asked for and received out of that grant. it comes to whatever they're going to replace, whatever they're going to keep. We approached them with we want to keep everything, which means I can't promise Chris that brand new 4K view on any of the all of our cameras, that's that's not going to happen. So even though we have this Vicotta cloud base, those old cameras are still going to look old until we and that's why I'm saying if maybe take that extra 18 that we have that to me, we have to spend and say, Chris, is there any really cameras that you look at? >> Some of our older cameras. >> There you go. So we could say maybe two, three,

four, however much that would buy us. I don't >> So a license and a warranty are not synonyms. They are not >> software hardware. >> Okay. >> That's what if I say maybe that way it makes more sense. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yep. It does. And so then a question to Trisha would be or or anybody would be when that fiveyear license is up for a renewal of however many new increments you want to make it. What does the budgeting for that look like? I mean >> we already pay for those already. So it's just kind of replacing what we already have, right? Because we already paid for >> lures. Yeah. Yes, >> we already paid for different licenses already. >> So, it's the same thing that we've always budgeted for. >> So, right now to

run a visual camera, not on our visual system, that's one license per camera. >> Okay. >> So, that what it would transfer over to the Verata, >> correct? >> The software to run that piece on that network is going to cost you this amount. >> It's already in the budget. >> It's already and those those costs are cost neutral. >> I do not look at that. If we want to get down to the finite, I'm going to go with Pearl. Probably not because the software licensing that increases by itself as it is now >> per year. >> Uh going to a a system that is it might be compatible, but because it's brata, we're probably going to see a change whether that change is above or did I do that one? above or below where

it is now. I don't quite know that yet before we actually sit with those figures in front of us to go, oh yeah, that's a wash or it means that software budget item is going to increase or decrease by this amount. Hopefully a decrease. >> Right. And that's and that's the point of my questioning because >> I too don't know. I kind of make an assumption that it may be more, but whether it's more or less, it will impact future budgets and um assumptions put into those budgets as they're created. So, I just want to kind of put that out there on the table up front here so that it's on everybody's radar. >> Okay. Any other questions? The motion by John second by Randy to accept the bid from USA security for the integrated

sec for the integrated security system. All in favor please indicate by saying I. >> I post same sign. Motion carries. Item B, approve occupational therapist job description action item closure number one. Supergend recommends approving the occupational therapist job description. Do I have a motion? Motion by second. Thank you. >> Thanks, Jeff. >> So, a motion by Alicia, second by John to approve the occupational therapist job description. Anybody have any questions? >> Just real quick, um we have an opportunity to potentially hire our own occupational therapy. Uh for the last several years, we've had the occupational therapists uh as a part of the Southwest West Central Cooperative contract. And you know, as the years ago, this position wasn't necessarily full-time position. So, you um you know, can't find those people, so you subcontracted through Southwest. Over

the last several years, it's been pretty, you know, it's been set that this is a 1.0. So, what I'm proposing is is that we go out there and try to find an occupational therapist. And hopefully that we do, we can then take that money and eliminate it from Southwest Central. And reality is by hiring our own, we'll save money. We did this with our social worker here a few years ago. So, it's along that same line. I'm giving it to you today because um last week we were still tweaking the job description. We're having Southwest Central help us with the job description and it wasn't quite ready on Monday's regular board meeting. So, we've got it in front of you now. I hope that we can go through this and see if we can hire

somebody uh potentially have somebody at the February board meeting and then um we can meet the deadline to let Southwest know that we will not be doing those services. >> That's March 1st. >> And that's March 1st. Thank you. Yes. >> This would be in the special education department. So therefore, is it in the education Minnesota GSL bargaining group? It would be correct. All right. Any other questions? A motion by Alicia, a second by John to approve the occupational therapist job description. All in favor, please indicate by saying I. I. Post sign. Motion carries. Item C, approve the posting of of the occupational therapist action item. Superintendent Sud recommends approving the posting of occupational therapist. Do I have a motion? >> So move. >> Motion by Alicia Doug. Second. >> Second. Second by Randy to

approve the posting of the occupational therapist. All in favor, please indicate by saying I. >> I. Same sign. Motion carries. MD. Um, miscellaneous. Not at this time. Uh, adjournment. Actually, I have to have a motion. >> So, move motion by Jamie. Do a second. >> Second by John to adjourn at 6 uh 40 or 5:42, excuse me, 42 p.m. All in favor, please indicate by saying I. >> I. Thank you.
