Um, I have Mrs. Milgrid Christ here um, today with me to help with any follow-up questions um, that you have. We have based on a written IEP, the need a student's IEP, the need for some intensive individualized support um and one-on-one assistance. Um this student has significant academic and behavioral needs. Um this pos this position is needed to ensure that the student has meaningful access to the general educational curriculum. And since it is written in an
004IEP, we are generally obligated to um provide this position to uh for our student population if one of them needs this position. Uh we wanted to bring this before finance and facilities tonight so if you chose to advance it that full school board could vote on it to approve next week um through the HR um personnel um approval process and I just wanted to if you have any follow-up questions Mrs. uh Christ is here for to answer those. Yes sir. Is this part-time or full-time? Because you are you cover about 4 and a half hours each day, right? >> Um this the I am told that this uh APCA will be here 37 and a half hours or during the students full week >> because IEP allows about 4 and a half hours of instruction

Um a lot of times we are looking at just the academic piece which would be our four core subjects but with this particular student we need to take a look at the electives the PE and other ones to make sure that he is being successful as well as the transition um between classes. Um some of the outspoken things about certain um um proposals that um I thought were put to bed or tabled until a later date while we focus on academics only and it seems as though those things keep stirring up. Um the meeting I wasn't at, I heard some discussion going back and forth on things that just concerned me that we're not focused on the the things that we need to focus on.
