We're really excited to have you and to have your insights um that you can share with us throughout the year. So very excited about your new addition to the team.
014Uh just a couple of things because we did pretty extensive reports over the last month. I did want to give a shout out and to commend the team for a wonderful start to the extended year program. Mary Katherine's in the audience. So congratulations if you can share that with your team. I really appreciate that. So congratulations for that as well as our summer school program. U R has hit the ground running and um and again please share with the team how wonderful the start of the school year has been for the summer program and extending your program these terms. In addition, I just wanted to make sure that we had some conversation about the new requirement by New York State law that requires us to uh not allow largely electronic devices that have internet access
015like cell phones um within schools and the period of time is going to be from the start of school to the end of school. um any after school activities, children will be permitted to use devices that have internet access to that. So what we're going to be doing is of course there are going to be consequences for individuals who violate that that required regulation by New York state law and I'm going to be sending a letter out shortly within the next week that's just basically a prelude to and explains to parents and students what the situation is. Subsequent to that, there'll be at least one or two letters from the building principles that provide additional information to the parents. >> Any questions? Anything else? >> No. Okay. Um, Matthew, would you like to give your
016student a report? >> Sure. So, good evening. My name is Matthew K and I would first like to say that I am extremely grateful to be here today um as the ex this year student member. Um this past year at Seafford in my opinion was truly incredible. Sean Athletics excelled with many teams going deep into their playoffs and our wonderful jury team also brought home the national championship which was great. Um, the high school also held a very beautiful veterans appreciation night this year and the high school we honored those who served in our community and it united us all under their service and compassion which I thought was really nice. The PTA also as always did an amazing job taking care of the student athletes. In fact, they just recently hosted their PTA senior
017awards center which was a huge success. However, my most favorite part of this past year was the addition of the Nordic Nook in the high school. >> Yes. >> Um the Nordic Nook was the brand new mini cafe um that opened up in one of the cafeterias. And I know it was not only my opinion, but the opinion of all my classmates that this new addition was a huge hit and everyone loved it. So >> that that was the the highlight of the year in my opinion. So that sums it up and um I'm looking forward to many more successes in the future. >> Thank you so much. Great report and we concur with everything you >> very nice report. >> Yes. >> Uh okay, we'll move on to consent agenda items. >> Do these

And now I need a motion to enter into the public hearing uh for review of the school safety plan. >> Move it. Second. >> Any discussion?
