took longer than we anticipated. Can I have a motion to end executive session and return to regular session? >> I believe that was Ashley, second by Tom. All in favor? >> I opposed. We are back in regular session. Um, next we will move to recognitions and presentations. I'll pass it to Mr. Adams to recognize a couple staff members. >> Indeed. Hello everyone. Thank you. I'd like to have Danielle Lango, principal of Charlotte Adams School, come forward. Tim, you can join us up here too if you like. >> It's like video. >> Try to try to work the term longsuffering into but no I no suffering at all. So last evening uh Danielle was honored and this isn't just like she wasn't gifted with this. This is an earned honor. Uh Rachel Elementary principal of the
year from SE State which is the school administrator association of New York State region 12 and uh uh just had a a wonderful dinner and and banquet in her honor and those of some other administrators in different levels. But we just wanted to uh put a piggy back on that congratulations. All right. I'll read the certificate. Uh proudly present Daniel Mango the H Central School District Administration Education would like to recognize your achievement in receiving the senior region 12 elementary principal of the year award. Your dedication is an illustration of the best of what it means to be a Hamburg. Here is your certificate just like you do for all the certificate winners at Charlie Avenue. Hold it up so we can see the camera. Okay. Well, he's not move, right? We can't Yeah. Get
up, Carol. We'll get >> uh there were 30 tables at the at the at the at the at the banquet place and 28 of them were held by Charlotte Avenue. Congratulations. >> CONGRATS. I'm going to have Wendy Winters come forward, please. Very like I I think this might be a little out of camera range. We're out of camera range. All right, we got Come over here. But I want to have Wendy sort of gaze towards Randy Southerntherland. But look look at the table and look at just let's see one two three four five. That's literally that's like 16 of the books that you have been editor. Correct. Like you run the year >> 32 years of putting out the Hamburg Echo. Uh this was your final edition. Uh, and we can't thank you enough. That's
like the the keeps safe memories that that yearbooks are as we all know as we look back at our yearbooks and suddenly we look younger and younger and younger and all but thanks for memorializing all of those experiences high school from 96 >> 95 95 to 2026. So uh similar uh certificate certificate of recognition would probably present Wendy Winters Hamburg Central School District Administration Board of Education would like to recognize your completion of 32 years Hamburg High School's echo your dedication and illustration festival. So we thank you for that. What piggy backulations YOU That's great. Thank you. >> And we're gonna >> Yeah, you want to keep >> Yeah, we should just keep going, right? Presentations and such. So, what's over here? >> Capital. >> Yeah, I had a hunch, but I just want to
make sure. All right. From here, uh we got Sean Sean and Jim. Sean uh for the capital project. Uh thank you for coming uh coming out tonight and uh sharing with us the latest in what's happening in the capital project. So, as you get the pictures, just a couple points from the report. financial change management. Facebook did not bring Mount pictures. This is still wonder clean Next Quick schedule updates. That's all. Just one question. It says material delays. Um >> yeah, >> at the top the condenser. >> Yeah. So there's It's just something we're tracking. >> Okay. >> Perfect. Thank you. We're light on questions because we just had a very long facilities. >> Thanks. >> And yep, we're going we're going right into it. Uh thank you Jim. Thank you Sean. Uh the next
topic we're going to address the internet enabled device. There was a uh device policy uh that was a request from one of our board members to get an update on how the policy that really dominated the headlines uh over the summer and into the school year. Uh and how that's been implemented. Uh to help me out with that, I have uh John Crangle from the high school. I've got Matt Lowour from the middle school. Uh and they're going to come on up and and and assist. I'm going to give a little bit of background and share a little bit about what the elementary experience has been after talking with uh some of their administrators there as well. And then I'll turn it over to Matt and John and they'll take it from there. Okay. Uh
so as uh as I said, we we were uh as part of the state budget from last year, it was a mandate that a policy would be created uh for each school district. There was a deadline for it. It had to be approved by the summer. uh and it had to be created by sort of a group of stakeholders within each school district and named named various uh folks taking various responsibilities in uh with with the making of that policy. Uh our good friend Max, president of student government was uh was part of that group as I recall it. Correct. Uh and we went into that uh having a wide variety of ideas with it. There were some that thought like, "No, this isn't going to work." There were others who thought this is exactly
what we need. And we got together, we jammed, I feel like we put like 30 or so of us into HAB a the conference room right next to my office. Uh, and we had great discussions with it and we talked about like the parameters that the state gave us. Uh, and then we created sort of Hamburg's own version of it. Now within that policy there's several carveouts to it like if students uh need an internet enabled device based on their IP things along those lines those are all okay there are certainly there there are places where teachers if they want students to be able to use them that can happen too and that all became part of our policy which was then adopted uh on July 8th. I've got a link to our policy. We
don't need to go line by line with that but that link will be there for you uh should you want to take a look at that later. And that's for our folks who are listening at home or in our audience or certainly around the board table as well. Uh in our elementary schools, uh the phrase cubbies, I don't know, was used uh ever more than during that time when we talked about the elementary component of that policy because students are leaving the the cubbies, little storage areas they might have in the room or a backpack. Uh reports to the principles are as follows. There really was a consistent policy that was already in place. So they followed that. They may have had to step it up a little bit in terms of some of the
internet enabled devices, but the responses to it have been extremely positive. Uh there were reports of having one or two conversations with students. Uh there reports of having uh you know if there's a reminder to one student and then have to be a reminder again uh having that uh having that positive con that learning conversation that would happen. Um but it's been implemented with little push back from students, parents and staff. issues handled as they arise and parents and family have been extremely supportive and that's one of the things that we talked about at the budget hearing. The support that we get from the community is a big part of this as well as well as the the leadership shown at the elementary schools by both uh by by principles and by teachers and staff
as well. And then we turn to middle school and high school and you can just all imagine that this type of policy has a larger impact as the students get older. Middle school was in a little bit of a different spot because they'd had something in place already. Matt's going to talk a little bit about that first and then he'll turn it over to John and then we'll uh turn it over to you folks for questions. >> Sure. You can see up on the uh iPad that the calling away for the day is over. So and probably talk a little more to how long >> it pre it predated me. That's that's Jen Barker everybody. That was that was her move that's middle school for the crowd. What a fantastic move. >> It's a beloved
phrase in the middle school >> and well well before time. So I stepped in, you know, last year and I was actually shocked at how well that policy work. So I was super confident that going forward with um with new policy that we'd be in great shape with middle school. It was communicated by Mr. in the summertime to the entire district and then we follow it up with a letter from the middle school um just kind of talk about how the policy would look at HMS and most of that communication was very similar to what we have in place already a couple little tweaks um we discussed policy with our students and began the year in our family meetings and then the policies outlined in our student handbook so it talks about first offense is
a warning our second offense the device is turned into the main office and they can get it at the end of the day. Third offense, the parent uh parent contact is made and they have to come pick up the child's device and then further offenses and we have disciplinary action. So, how's it going? Uh we have so we have a compensation log compensation log uh on a clipboard in our main office and we are on the first page for the entire year which is fantastic. So I you know all week we actually only have like two slots left like all week like I want to be able to say we're on the first page. Um but truly amazing there's like 16 slots on this on this sheet we're on the first page. So device turned
into the office 13 students for the entire school year. Um parents contacted and they had come pick up the child's device. We had one student and that was awesome because a parent uh left there for a week. So that that certainly helped uh that student learn a lesson and then disciplinary action for inordination. So first so we're we're in an awesome spot. Like I said, I was confident going into the year way better than even expected. And one of the reasons for that so the day like I said had already been in place. It was part of the school's culture already. Um our staff is super consistent with expectations. Every teacher in the building they have the same expectations and they they advertise those expectations and students buy into it. Uh we regularly talk about
the topic of internet devices with students. Every family meeting we have. great little we have we talk about them um and we don't just you know stop at at not having them in school but we talk about making sure you're not at night we talk about responsible friends and things like that and then lastly uh parent support we have awesome parent support with it um you know I have I have kids who are middle school high school and it's super easy text quick say got moved and things like that um however myself got better And our parents are are doing a great job. They call the office and they need to get a message to their students. Um our students our kids are fantastic. They've done a really good job. Um you know once in
a while walk down the hall like this text but overall they do a fantastic job. So going forward we commit to continue discussion and learning around internet devices and uh consistency expectations for students and you know and as we go to the high school the hope is that all of our students they don't know anybody so they're not used to having so at the high school previous years really teacher autonomy teacher discretion in accordance with the code. So how the policy was introduced this year students and families over the summer middle school we did a video out video as well too orientation assemblies class visits emails conversations almost to know that this was happening. The offense system is very similar. First offense, second offense brought to the office today. Third offense picks it up from
this year to number first offenses from high school this year 287 last week. Second offenses were was actually brought to office 69 students and building students back over three offenses with a third or fourth offense. Those aren't students. Those are actually one time offenders once that happens to looking at dates are total major part of that is because they're middle school and it's really also expected higher similar you might say well also keep senior students are gone and this seniors are young adults that they as the year progresses the next six weeks should be the best six weeks high school career right so I think that resembles a little bit of the numbers that you see with that data adjustment to next steps we continue to work with the middle school in the transition process
we have conversations teams office include addition in the high school class and our school resource officers moving forward very similar process what we're looking at high school discussation supporting our staff questions. >> Some questions. >> Lots of questions. >> Oh, go ahead. >> Um, I just had some questions. They're technically for both of you, but you don't have as many offenders, so I don't think this is compelling for you. Uh, for the high school, you had, you know, so many students, 269 What does that look like over time? So like is there are you seeing like a large subset of students at the beginning of the year and then it's tapering off? Uh is it actually like really good at the beginning and then getting >> Yeah. Like do you have that data? You saw
a little bit. >> And do you have a sense of like how well this is, this is again for both of you, do you have a sense of how well this is being like applied by your faculty? teachers uh like how how do you make sure that the the students that it's being applied consistently across faculty like do you know like some faculty are like really good about applying the internet device mandate or some are very like laxidasical like how have you been getting feedback about that from your staff >> probably I know We know thereist, >> right? I thought there was something you had to fill out. Is that >> that's something that procedurally the high school like why don't you explain how how that goes. There was some discussion about that possibly happening.
>> Okay. Is there a And I'm not remembering maybe Max, you can help me remember that. I thought there was a procedure to keep things kind of equitable across the classrooms in the high school that if there was going to be um a classroom using internet enabled devices like they were going to have to like have like the the students sign that out or like document that. Is that Do you remember us talking about that? Is that a thing? >> I don't remember. >> Okay. I remember that being part of a discussion. Okay. I wonder what procedures will be used and ultimately John you share like what what what you and the high school came up. >> Yeah. level. We still trust each other. Um, and then the last thing I just wanted to ask
is you do have, you know, your your uh your frequent flyers. Um, have you you said you wouldn't you were talking to the kind of the families about what the situation is around that? What have you kind of gleaned from that? What I mean without naming names or anything, what kind of have you learned in your investigation as to like what are the main factors for why you have repeat offenders? >> And those ones were, you know, but as far as learning from that, I think by case social workers talk that are involved look at what their dayto-day during school after school work that exists. So I think our communication exists for that repeat offenders. Again it's a similar trend. >> Okay. I just didn't know if there was like if you've got 22 multiple
offenders if there's any like common theme around like I don't know feelings of safety or gambling or anything like that that is worth you know the this is a pilot year right is there anything worth looking into but thank you >> any other questions Thanks guys. >> Thank you so much. >> All right. So, moving through uh item or section E, U, board briefings. That was just notes from the last meeting. Uh items for information. Believe there was anything in there. Uh future board of education meetings. Our next meeting is June 9th. I believe sorry lost my >> lost my connection. Um informationational budget transfer items. Oh, thank you. Yeah. So the next meeting is where are we here? >> June 9th at Oh, at Armor, right? >> Yes. Please don't forget to come out
budget. Vote for your favorite school board members also. um budget transfers. That was just the uh under 25,000 and we'll move to board committee reports. So, as usual, I'll start with the student representative Max. Welcome back. The floor is yours. Um so, the AP exams are almost over, which is good. That means that we're going to get the bells back. We had the musical which was the Adams family. I thought it was very impressive and there was amazing performance by everyone who participated. We're having the spring concerts for band orchestra coming up. Uh the class officer elections are finished. Uh unfortunately I don't have any of the names of one. We're having the memory block and the senior breakfast on May 29th and the district art show in the high school gym which will be
on May 28th. We're going to have the scholarship ceremony on June 2nd. Uh the list conference was held at Hamburg last week for GSA and other GSA clubs from different schools around the area came to a very successful event. Uh lovely lunches took place in the high school cafeteria that was organized by Mr. Dudek and his students. They prepared over 500 lunches uh that were donated to Amy's Place of Hope. The students who spearheaded that event were Will Melture, Eli Line, Payton Marvin, and Jack McDonald. Uh together they made the idea and presented it to student government uh to gave donations. That's That's all I have. >> Good. Thank you. >> Any questions for Max? >> All right. Good job. >> What's next? What's next? Track beat >> track. That'll be on Friday. Thank you.
>> All right. We'll continue to board member updates. So, I'll start with Ashley. >> All right. I'm quick. I have nothing to report. David >> start with the I was at the uh advisory council meeting um run by Jen Barker. She does such a wonderful job. I I will uh I don't want to spend a lot of time on it because I know the Anyways um but is it everybody's there you know all the counselors are there and administrators principles and it's just so so much action going on that um that Colleen Collins does such a great job. Um, you know, I think it was my idea to pick her, but but she does a great job. And, uh, they talked about, um, the group anxiety, the PE Tech programs, uh, parents night for sixth
graders, talked about AI and trying to help parents understands how students can use it. And I'm just going through there. A lot of this just goes right over my head, but it's just amazing to see um, what a great group we have. Um, and the things that they can do. Um, you know, Hamburg's mental health, uh, focus, we're we're the leaders in Hamburg. We're far ahead of other schools and, you know, we have people like team just so many people that I just can't mention all here. The Bulldogs buddies, Wendy's talked about that. Um, the seniors to armor. Um, they talked about seniors talking to eighth graders. It just goes on and on and on. I have uh just a big list. I want to give this to Ashley. This is everything that we kind
of discussed, but it's just so great to see what a great group we have and what a great meeting that was. So, hats off to uh Jeff that. Um I was also at the transportation meeting. Um and a lot of exciting stuff coming out of that. But just real quick, uh everybody was emailed this. Um, so Fiser Landmark is buying new buses to beat the uh the deadline on uh they're buying diesel buses, not electric buses. Um, so 34 big buses, 20 mini buses, five uh vans, uh some smaller buses, and uh so they're doing this to beat the uh the deadline for diesel buses, saving a lot of money. Obviously, there's a lot of controversy over that and getting the the deadline extended. um as far as the mandate for electric buses one last
year you could register a diesel bus you know so uh there's a lot of things to look at I know we've gone over it before a lot of pros and cons you know obviously the the pollution and the fuel savings you know is on for electric buses but you know electric bus costs $400,000 diesel bus around 175 you know then we got to have the infrastructure the bridges the new mechanics, everything else. So, it's uh it's something that we meet on and discuss um regularly and it's something that obviously Aubony has to assign, but uh I know the software needs a lot of tweaking, but it's it's doing pretty good. There's not a lot of complaints. I know that Justina was mentioned that, you know, a lot of parents keep getting logged out and have
to log back in. I know that Brent had some discussions with them with that. Um, so we're going to work on some of those things. I don't want to spend a lot of time in that, but just to let you know that uh um the districts all over the buses and transportation um um in New York State School Board Association now, uh July 24th and 25th, there is um a program in Albany. Um it's a great program. I've been to it uh before. Um you know, You know, all our tasks are to to keep on learning how to be a board member, how to be a better board member. And this, if you can make it, the dates are kind of tough. July 4th and 25th, but certainly uh it's in the budget. You know,
I figure it's going to cost, you know, a hotel and get you down there on the train or whatever on the train. Um um you know, you know, it should be around $1,000 a board member. It certainly is worth it. and continue education as a board member is so important. Um I was at the the PTASA meeting last night, another great group. Um Christine did a great job at the budget presentation. Um Jason from the village, what remarkably a great job you did. Um he's the treasurer at the PTSA. Um you know, great guy knows all. He does our treasures report. We'll go over that in a minute. Um, you know, also, uh, Christina talked about how she deducts from Fiser's bills. So, they miss a bus room, but bus rooms in there. They had
to do, she's deducting from the bills each and every month. Fisher sends in, there's always deduction, saving us money, doing a great job. Um, Lyn Mason said, "It's nice to know we got a badass in in the business." It's your quote, not mine. um in the in the business uh department. Um they uh we talked about just you know all the things they did but you know from teachers appreciation which they did such a great job on um and just I don't I know we're we're times tough but everything else but um here's the treasures report and you're looking at um you know schools armor's got $30,000 in the bank valley almost 20 at Charlotte, 61,000 to UPS. Um it goes on and on. What a great job these parents do raising money for our
school and raising money for our students, you know. Um they are dedicated to us. We all have to remember that we have to build membership, you know, for for 3,400 students, maybe more members um in PTSA. So don't sign up now. There's only July 1, you know, after July 1. Let's all make sure we sign up again. get everybody else to sign up and and get those numbers out there because we do a great job. We're awards all the time. We're the ones best PTSA, but you know, we have about 500 members. Um Justina did a fundraiser at the Sabres game where u they sold the 5050 tickets and uh that raised $9,300. So they actually were out there. You ever been to a Sabres game? You can buy a 50/50 raffle ticket. So the
volunteers do it. So, they have to turn in their machines um that they sell from um after the second period and then they throw them out, which is kind of mean. I thought that was mean, but at least they get period. But uh she said that >> I thought you meant the machine. >> Well, they have those little handheld things. >> That's why I thought you were throwing the machine out. >> And but she said that they can tell um they pick the winning ticket and they can they can tell the people who sold the winning ticket, who sold the most tickets. Um there is some prizes and stuff like that, but uh Justina's got the connection and uh I just thought that what what a great project that is. But the fund runs, everything
else, they earn a great deal of money and uh and just do a just do a wonderful job. The uh they elected the officers pretty much the same officer um as this year. Kate Wallace does a great job as president and uh and pretty much you know the same crew is going to be around next year. Uh last is the uh Hamburg school music boosters. Um they are running a June calendar raffle. Um I have a couple up here if you want to put a QR code, but if you go to hamburgmusic boosters.com, you can buy a ticket for this. So what it is, there's a prize every day in June. It starts off with the uh Savers tuck jersey autograph. There's a TV in there, gift cards from restaurants, all kinds of stuff. There
is on Tuesday, taco Tuesday. There's two drawings and one person gets a prize, other one gets tacos. Um, it's it's only $20 a ticket and you have a great chance to win. So, I'll leave this up here. If anybody wants to come up later on, scan the QR code. What a great group. next month they will get a list of all the items they have donated and made possible to our music department and we'll we'll review that but it's it's quite lengthy I looked at it yesterday a few things are still coming in so they'll have that in June but another great group another great group of parents um that are you know dedicated to not only you know the music department but our school so that is it that's all I've got for you
thanks days, Jess. >> Um it was a busy month. Um we had reading and literacy night at Charlotte Avenue. We have great support from the community for that event. We had an author visit and um one of the classes who submitted the most minutes for their reading log. They were able to do like a workshop with the author. Um it was just really great. So that was a wonderful event and it's run by the PTSA. Amazing people. So, I did attend the legislative breakfast on May 2nd uh with Mr. Adams. So, we had an Assemblyman Bill Conrad and then State Senator Patrick Gallivan there. Do not we did not and we still do not have like an approved state budget, but they were talking about trends and where we were looking to go. Um we're
hopeful for the 1% increase in that foundation aid to get us to 2%. There was definitely talk about um the extension for the electric buses. uh push back another five years, but we're still waiting on some of those other key key topics that affect education. So hopefully we'll have um definitive answers soon. But I thought that was a great event. It was really great to hear from the people who are in Albany having these conversations. So that was a good morning. Um I was able to attend delegate assembly for ECASB. That was this past Thursday. We were talking about kind of the rules for next year. We were talking about the awards that are going out to different school board members and the process for that. It's a really great group of people who are
just really really committed and I was fortunate to be there. I was able to attend last week um the GLYS convention. I wanted to get over there. We have a lot of students and the diversity in this district may not be as evident but it is there. And so I wanted to get over there to see how that event supports our students. When I walked in, I was greeted by the table um of people from Bliss welcoming me in. And honestly, they probably spent 20 minutes talking about how great it is to come to Hamburg, how welcoming Hamburg is, how amazing Mr. Crangle is to work with and how when they had to pick just one location this year, it had to be Hamburg because when they walk in those doors, they they were greeted
with a smile. Mr. Prangle never loses his smile, but they said it was everyone they interacted with, right down to the custodial staff. They were very, very um impressed by our district, but every single employee that they interacted with, they just talked about how amazing they were and how despite the fact that they were kind of taking over the building at night when we're supposed to be cleaning it up, everybody was so gracious and welcoming and wonderful. And I think it's really important that we focus in on all of our students. We talk about, you know, meeting every learner where they're at and honoring all of our unique learners. And I think that's one of the ways that Hamburg can do this is bringing kids together where they feel seen, they feel um like they
are accepted, and they see people and talk to people who are dealing with some of the same things they're dealing with. So, um, bravo to Hamburg High School for that because the the feedback from everyone was so incredibly positive and, um, three years now. It it shows that they, um, they have a home here in Han and I love to see that. I was able to attend Danielle's dinner last night. Um, when I tell you this was such a special night. I thank I I'm so thankful every day that I move to this community and that my children are in these schools and that they get to interact with the educators and the staff members they do every day. And one of those people from day one has been Danielle Lango. And I'm so grateful
that she is a part of our family story. I'm so grateful that she is someone that I met early on and she has absolutely impacted my path in life and probably my path to this board because She's always supported the work that I wanted to do. She's always supported the initiatives that I wanted to bring to this community. So to see her honored was just I mean it was such a great moment for her her and her family. But for those of us who know what she is, know what she's done and know how important she is to the people in that building. Um, well, John gave the introduction and I'll tell you right now that I I mean, I'm a crier, but John, why'd you do that to me? Um, it was the words
he spoke absolutely represented who Danielle is and and what she means to this community, to her school, um, to those kids. And to to hear that introduction, to watch her dad just look at her in awe of her and then to look around, I saw, you know, Sue Wilson and Matt Lowauour at my table. And then I look over and I just see all of these Charlotte Avenue staff members and they are just so excited because they know how special she is and they were for that brief period of time they got to share her with other people who might not know that. So that was absolutely incredible. Congratulations Danielle. That is an honor that is so welld deserved and I was lucky to be a part of it. And then just a couple more
things on a personal level. Um Bulldog Run Club we are rolling. We are rolling at Charlotte, at Union, and at Boston. Boston Valley has had so much growth. Um, we have 130 kids running across those buildings. We have amazing, amazing volunteer coaches. Coach Amanda at Boston. We have Coach Jeb at Union Pleasant. We have Coach Lindsay at Union Pleasant. We have Coach Jess, Jess Gany, who is a teacher. And she stays after two days a week to make sure those girls have an opportunity. And then Coach Will and I with the boys at Charlotte Avenue. This is making a difference. The parents are excited to have it. We need more of this kind of engagement with our elementary kids. And I'm so happy that we have been able to run the program another year and
expand it from 97 last year. It's only up from here. And then the it takes a village 5K. Those Bulldog Round Club kiddos are going to run their season ending 5K on June 6th in the village. We've got all the approvals, so we are good to go with insurance, with everything. Um, we passed 150 runners and we have a goal of 500, which is a lofty goal, but we can get there. We had almost 360 last year, but all of that money is going to go right back into our district for clubs, for organizations, for groups who need a financial boost that are not included in the, you know, the the the yearly annual budget. Um, but those are the places where our kids really find their joy. They find their people and they find
their purpose. So, um, I'm super excited to bring that back to the village of Hamburg. It's going to be a great day. would love to have you all there. Share with your friends and family. Um, and we can show those kids just how much we all support them. >> Thanks, Jess. >> Tom, just real quick, we just got had a facility meeting. Um, you know, just a couple quick things from that that were nice. Um Brent shared with us they've kind of consolidated and put together a concise uh building use fee schedule and um rules and regulations as well as a new app that uh people will have to use to use our facilities which um I think really consolidates things nicely and really is going to communicate to them exactly uh the requirements and
expectations. So very happy to see that. Um, the other thing that I like to see because it's something that really we haven't I don't think a lot of districts do this, uh, just judging from when I've been in in facility meetings type of things and in schoolboard uh, convention is our long range financial planning as far as the capital projects go to making sure that we have that consistent debt level as opposed to, you know, peaks and valleys. I think that ensures that we keep our facilities much more up to date than than maybe a little bit in the past. Uh as well as a concise going forward plan as to what we're going to be doing to improve the facilities and what needs it not just this project but next project and even looking
a little bit further out from there seeing that what what do we have to work with and what do we have to do it. >> All right. Thanks Tom. Eric. >> Uh, all right. I got a couple of things. Uh, I went to the twist on tech at Boseis Potter Road. That's actually the first time I've been in a Boseis building and and Potter Road. I was blown away. Very impressed. Uh, would recommend. I think I would have actually done really well at a at Bosy's Potter Road as a kid. Um, I also did the uh went to the UPS musical, the magical mixtape. Was very impressed. always impressed that they are man they managed to put together a musical. They write it and perform it just in that time of a year. That is
incredible work. So kudos to the kids um and to music teachers and to the art and just incredible. Um have to shout out the bike bus that got started um two weeks ago. Uh, and we've had just a couple of riders, but we will have another bike bus ride next Monday um at Union or at Glen Meadows Park and also the Southside. Uh, if you are interested, let me know. But what I really want to spend my time talking about is the transportation committee. Dave, you talked about everything that I wasn't going to talk about. So, perfect. I'm glad we had a mental mind link there. um everything that Dave said and also Christine presented the results of the audit and I wanted to talk about the conversation that we had with the transportation audit.
So it was very fruitful in terms of the conversation we had with landmark representatives and all the other representatives um in the transportation. We reviewed spoiling anything. >> Okay, great. uh we reviewed the data that we collected from that I'm saying collective we because it was a group effort between Hamburg Central School District and and Fisher Landmark Landmark Fischer um from the spring audit learned a lot of things but I'm going to just share kind of my my big takeaways first that the audit itself was its own experience the data was collected by both Landmark and Fiser personnel and by Hamburg's uh central school de district personnel so there were few instances of discrepancies between counts and times. So there were a total of 30 buses that had at least one discrepancy. 23 of those
buses had one day where the count was off. Five buses had two days where the count was off. Two buses had all three days where the count was off between the two people counting where they weren't the same. So one of the big takeaways was just formalizing the process for the counting and the recording. Um that's going to be really crucial when we do these audits going forward. there was just sort of a a procedural thing that we kind of have to to figure out in the future, which is totally normal for like the first time you start doing these things. Um, additionally, the way that Landmark Fischer tracks its buses is by route, while the way that we uh or the district uh each school system has a different system for naming its buses.
And so what happens is this this leads to confusion and delay when people call to ask questions about the buses. Um, and that also kind of leads to confusion sometimes for tracking in the audit. And so, everyone sort of agreed in the room that going forward it would make a lot more sense if everyone was on the same page and just started using the root numbers going forward rather than the school each using its own system. So, we talked about this is a better way to streamline communication. Um, next thing we talked about was that most buses were recorded as on-time arrivals, which is really great news. The biggest exception uh in my analysis was was that the prek buses at Cats and Armor, which over the course of the three-day audit were late by
like a few minutes at least once, if not every day. So, this was interesting. Um because we sometimes have heard about this, but it was not the big buses, it was the prek buses. Um interestingly, the small bus at Armor and one at the UPES were also cutting it really close. So if like the bell goes off at 9, they were technically recorded is like arriving at like 8:59. Um so not technically late but functionally really really close. Um so based on that data we had we didn't see any late or based on the data we had we didn't see any late arrivals of the buses at any of the other schools that would put the students way behind that first bell. So the issues with lateness really seem to be condensed into that prek
busing. So that's It's just good to have that little data set. Um, something we I didn't actually mention this, this is something that came later. Something we'd like to do in the future audits is maybe get a length of ride data. Uh, since we collected all of this data manually, uh, there isn't really any way to track this other than either getting it from Fisher or like literally putting someone on a bus and just going and riding the route. So, I don't know if that's something we could get in the future or how we get that in the future, but something to just double check how long is this ride from first pickup to first drop off. Um, so I just kind of want to wrap this up by saying we also had some conversation
about what other things we could do to make the system run more efficiently and there seemed to be some conversation consens just conversation no promises about re-implementing bus stops. So, as opposed to picking up at every at the house, but reimplementing the idea of bus stops um not just at the middle school and high school, but maybe at some of the later elementary. So, where and that's where it made sense. So, we even talked about where there are sidewalks and unlined streets and slow neighborhoods. We might it might be a good idea to reinstitute the bus stops for uh older elementary students. So, of course, if we rolled this out, there would uh be built-in exceptions for students who live on lined roads and an appeals process would be just part of the situation. But
if the goal is to improve efficiency, this would also be a way to do that. Fiser seemed really excited about it. The parent representatives there were excited about it. There was this idea that this could be something we talk about and maybe roll out in future academic years. Um, so the final thing I'll talk about is we also discussed possibly taking uh a scheduling a bus tour of the district so we as a committee could get a better sense of what our district looks like from the perspective uh of a bus rider especially in a winter time so that we could really get a sense of what uh the drivers have to deal with when it's snowy, when it's yucky. Um so we can get a better sense of what our students have to go
through as well. So sharing that audit results with the board and the public at large. >> All right, >> I will go last. Um, a lot of my stuff's already been touched on, but you know, with respect to the budget, it it it is immensely frustrating that there is still no budget. Um, but it does seem like the push back on the zero emission buses is pretty much a sure thing, as well as the uh 2% foundation aid and federal tax program. federal tax credit program for school choice. I think those are all in um first two obviously have a much bigger impact on us than the third. Uh but with respect to my committees, uh the finance committee met a couple weeks ago, two weeks ago. Um we reviewed a number of things, but
I think most notable was the we dug into the rubric that the controller uses for measuring fiscal health of a district. And you know, obviously saw a pretty drastic improvement in in our in the financial scoring for Hamburg over the last three years. Um, which when you dig into the to the rubric is really a sign of improved cash management and the restoration of our reserves. So, you know, credit to Christine for for helping and and Tom for spearheading those uh that initiative. Um, so we also seem like we're on a good trajectory for replenishing those reserves uh that that were included in the budget that we just reviewed. So, also a good I'm from the finance committee, the leadership forum, which is the um group that gets together. It's the heads of of many
of the bargaining units, Mr. Adams and his staff and myself. Uh we discussed some logistical issues, parking, school safety. Um also that was uh encouraging to hear general sort of um agreement or approval with of the you know recent recent insurance changes which seem to have been pretty well accepted by the staff. So, uh, another nice change to to get some affirmation of facilities meeting. We just had, um, you know, me Tom already covered it, but I think what's note is that of note is that June we will discuss the capital project priorities. So, we'll sort of dig a little deeper into that. Um, you know, obviously leading up to all the process for for going through our 2027 capital project. Uh, hasn't been mentioned, we have a building visit tomorrow, so don't forget. Uh
I was going to bring that up as you >> the building visitation committee and the entire board will meet tomorrow at the uh middle school. I believe it's 8:15 >> 8:15 >> where >> we're going to we will meet the main entrance to the middle school >> and then we're going to be hustling down to the auditorium to see a family meeting. >> Be great. >> Oh, it's Wednesday. Yeah. Um, and then, you know, with respect to my meetings outside of of the district, um, the IDA and Land Development Corporation, uh, I see one of my fellow board members in the audience, probably the only one who served longer than me is here, but, you know, lots of energy being spent in the, uh, industrial development agency on the development of the area around the
Gateway building, Woodlon Park. I mentioned that a lot. Still relatively slow on projects in the Hamburg school district. Um but eventually something will happen at Woodlon Park. I promise. Um and then Erie won Boseies. So we had our annual meeting since we last met. Um and right now uh on the on the uh Boseis board, we're working on with Mr. Dr. Capawana on um reorganizing his executive structure which is pretty exciting. Um it's going to help better service some of the component districts like Hamburg. Um and still a lot of discussion around the new facility opening in early 2027. So all very positive there. With that I am done. Um so I will pass it to Mr. Adams for his update. You got it. Thank you everybody. Uh just want to thank everybody around the
table but uh Christine and your office in particular for the work on the budget. Uh when uh you when you're you become superintendent, you soon realize that January to May is very much it's it like it's all the time. just budget time, but like the the work of it, it really drives what you're doing at each at each meeting and to be able to see uh be part of a group that's uh that's that's put together to approve budgets and then uh you know, we we obviously got the vote on on May 19th. It's been a uh uh been a great process to be part of and to learn more as I go. As well, uh I want to thank the PTSA for a couple things. PDSA for hosting Christine and myself uh as we
did our uh road show of talking about the budget. So we did the six ele six school buildings, four elementary, middle school, and high school and then we had the district PTSA meeting last night. uh and they were just like they're just they're just tremendous hosts uh for us and uh ask you know compelling questions and they really live like for the most part these groups really do live the idea of parent teacher student association uh and staff members as well they're really there's representatives of all there another thanks to the PTSA and Dave alluded to it as well the staff appreciation week uh the work that they did in each building to make sure our staff uh knew just how much they uh that they they not just appreciated but love them as well.
I want to thank uh we we've just come off um like our our hiring uh season and that is uh tremendous work led by Colleen and uh uh in her department then the at the building levels as well and I get to be the happy recipient of uh of of being able to have those final interviews where we meet uh two candidates and it is just incredible the types of folks who are uh wanting to join our team here in Hamburg. Uh it was a like a true honor to be to be part of that. Uh when we talk about selfless groups, Dave mentioned the music boosters and I certainly want to mention them. Any concert that I go to, there's representatives from the music boosters there. Uh and they are just like that is
some true crossbuilding connections that are going on there. Um as you have more and more music staff members who are visiting other schools to take in their concerts as well. Uh but the bulldog boosters as well they are always so and it takes such planning not just to have the meetings but to think about what will mean a lot to the kids who are going off to compete in the states. Uh they are they are a consistent part of uh of our student athletes experience on Thursday night. uh get to go to the SARS dinner, formerly called the SARS dinner, but then it got changed uh for uh for reasons that were very obvious at the time, but uh uh Scholastic Achievement Recognition Dinner uh and uh and be able to be with our our
uh validatoran Joel Hoffman, our salutatoran Riley Coyak, and then John, is it is it Max who will join us as well as student government president? Okay, so Maxim will be will be there as well. So, uh, that'll >> and me >> and and and and John and and and Cam, the aforementioned Cam who have been it would appear that I've been forgetting too much today, but my apologies on that. Um, I looking forward to Saturday morning uh with members of this fine group uh as we head to the farmers market uh from 7:30 to 12. Certainly, people more than welcome to come out. I get the building visit uh at the middle school tomorrow which came just mentioned. And then just wanted to share with you uh I'm become a board member uh for the
mental health advocates of Western New York. Uh I was asked to be part of that and it certainly sort of fits the and I don't do that because I'm some sort of leader in mental health. It's like our district is a very much lead district in terms of concern about student mental health, teen mental health, and staff mental health as well. So uh I was uh again the happy recipient of being asked if I could be a member there and a board member there. So, I'll be joining that group and I'm also going to be uh the superintendent representative for ECIC for section 6 uh for athletics and I got first meeting tomorrow with that. So, uh just wanted to share just some of the things outside of the meeting district that I'll be doing.
>> Excellent. I didn't know those last two things. >> Yeah, >> good to know. >> Okay, to the audience, thank you for bearing with us through all of this. We are going to get to business. So at this time I will consider the consent and financial items G and H. Um I'm looking for any board member. I'm seeking any request to withdraw specific item from the consent agenda for individual consideration. Is there any such request? >> Yes. Can I make a request? >> Go ahead. >> Can I request to remove uh G6 sub item two for individual consideration? >> G6 sub item two will be removed. Any other requests? >> Can we do um H5 the large budget transfer. >> Sure. >> Any other requests? >> Okay. With that with um this this one on
the uh G uh what is the G what? G G6 number two >> G6 >> we're going to discuss it but let's I'm just clarifying what items would you like is there any other items you'd like brought out before we start the discussion >> so we're going to vote on that separate >> correct >> I would request that there be a roll call vote >> sure we can do that when we when we get to that so right now the organiz So the call of the order is uh I will be looking for a consent Um, a motion to approve all consent items minus the affformentioned G6 sub item two G2 through H4. >> So, so moved by Tom, second by Ashley. Any discussion on the consent items? All in favor? >> All opposed? Motion
is approved. So, that is the consent items minus the two withdraw it. So, Now we will have a disc and now I Yes, please. Yeah, we need to honor some people through that. Sorry. >> I just like to take a moment to honor uh a few folks who've joined us today and one who's joining us virtually if uh if she's if she is still there. Want to congratulate Tom Red, our principal of Armor Elementary on uh on tenure. Congrats there, SIR. UH, I want to introduce to everybody our newly appointed athletic director, Greg Lauer. He already has he already has in his hand the summer read. So, just so you know, congratulations there. I I want to congratulate Mercy Connors for tenure. Uh Marissa, CONGRATULATIONS. SHE'S art art teacher at the middle school. Uh Caitlyn
P is watching virtually maybe still kind of. Hi Caitlyn. Okay. Hi Caitlyn. Congratulations to you. And then we have two of our uh newly appointed members. Sarah Capola. CONGRATULATIONS. And Sarah will be joining us. Second grade union. Feeling that. I felt that. That's good. I appreciate that. And then we also have Allison Cole. Congratulations to you. Allison will be working at Armor Elementary and Boston Valley. So congratulations there. Thank you. >> Okay. >> And congrats to all those. >> Yes. Congratulations and welcome to to all the new members. >> Okay. Uh now I will look for a motion. >> Discuss G6 sub item. >> It's not on the table >> right now. What's brought forward? We have nothing to brought forward to discuss it. So motion by Ashley, >> second by Jess. So we shall
now open the floor to discussion on personnel item G6, sub item two. I will remind the board members to please be conscientious of your words that you use here. And I would like us to go like us to go one by one. So who would like to go first? >> I don't want to have a free flowing shouting back and forth. I would just like us to take take turns just saying what we need to say and then we can move on. >> If nobody wants to speak, then we'll jump right to the vote. I'm right now I'm opening the floor for an opportunity to speak. Go ahead. Please do. You know, one of the most important things about being on a board is learning how to be a school board member. Listening to experienced
um school board members, to administrators, the educators, people that have been there that have done this over and over, people like me that have made mistakes, listening to them so we don't repeat those mistakes. So important. So important. This this board this board needs to work together to understand that that together we have a lot of power. Separately we have none. Pulling this item out is a big mistake and the people vote against this have to own it. have to own the turmoil and the problems it causes to this district. It's a huge mistake. Is not in the best interest of this. It's personal. It is not in the best interest of this district. It changes nothing. Nothing. It changes nothing. So I call for a roll. I want a roll call vote. I want
it verbalized. And I hope that we all can learn from this and move forward with the best interest of this school district and the 3,400 students that we are in charge of. So that's that's all I have to say. I got a lot more I'd like to say, but I'll I'll end it there. But, uh, it's >> Does anybody else have any comments they would like to make on this item? >> Um, just on um just the the district's financial uh condition uh as of as of late. Three years ago, we were on New York State's uh fiscally stressed list uh which we came off of within a year. uh over those uh over the period we've uh pretty much all but doubled our reserves uh and put the district onto a much better uh
financial platform and uh pathway that we have been on. Uh during that time uh we've also been able to maintain uh augment and also add to student programming uh while remaining budget um conscious uh and with uh some of the steps that we put in place uh the fiscal oversight visibility has approved of where it was through. >> Thanks Tom. Any other comments? >> I will say that sitting at this board and with this group of people at no point do I doubt anyone's commitment to this district. We have all been sent here by the voters of this community because They trust us to make good decisions that are in the best interest of this district. >> Dave, you had your turn. >> I think it's unfortunate that you're trying >> Dave, finish, >> I
think it's very unfortunate that you are trying to assassinate anyone's character at this table today and calling into question our commitment to this district. I can speak for myself and I will not speak for anybody else. I have been committed to this district from the very first day and I think I've demonstrated that commitment in every single action I have taken. I plan to continue to do that. I am a person of high moral character. I take this job very seriously. If that's not evident by the number of things I attend every month, by the things I do completely volunteer aside from this board. I give my time, I give my energy, and I give my money day in and day out. And to call into question my character because you might disagree with a
decision is unacceptable. >> Not attacking your character. It's a decision. You don't understand that you're making a mistake. >> Guys, let's do let's do one by one. And Dave, you can retort. Just finish your thoughts and then >> I know you are very dedicated. >> You're wonderful. I think everybody in this board is dedicated to this school system. It's just I can't it's hard for me. I've made this mistake before the Dave. I think the difference here is and I will again only speak for myself. I came in after a very difficult time for this district. I sat on the other side with very little information, but I watched the fallout from what went on and the trouble with our finances. I do not want to get back to that place and everything that I've
observed before I came to this board and everything that I've observed and been a part of since I've come to this board is what I'm basing my decision on. Any other comments? So, we shall do a roll call vote. Eric >> Nay. >> Tom. >> Yay. >> Jess. >> Nay. >> I'm an I. Dave. >> I. >> Ashley. With 33. The vote does not pass. Uh so at this time I will look for a motion to approve item H5 which is a budget transfer. >> So so moved by Tom >> second by Jess. Any discussion on H5? >> I would like um discussion in a public forum about this transfer and how it came to be. >> Can you describe it for us? Sure. Uh what's being described is a budget transfer from the health
insurance line $320,000 to oh what's the the debt service where what's the what's the the interest and my explanation of it and my thinking of it was clarified by Christine when I spoke with her. I'm just going to read to you what that response is. It gets a little in the weeds. All right. Understandably, she has that expertise. And uh from there, I will say how I feel about it from there. Okay. >> So, here's the uh here's here's the explanation for it. Debt being paid to a debt uh debt is paid according to a schedule that's created and sent to us as part of the budgeting process each spring. The estimated principal and interest payments on a ban or a bond anticipation note differs from bonds. The repayment of bonds uh the repayment of
bonds payment schedule is similar to a mortgage with no principal and interest payments stated clearly for 15 years. With a ban, the interest is estimated in the spring since we don't close on the ban until the end of May after the budget vote. Therefore, we rely on businesses who will loan us a certain amount of money at an interest rate that is not consistent or may or may not include a premium. The band bid was accepted in late May 2025 with the associated premium of $429,000 $429,57125 put into debt service reserve fund as required by education law rather than to reduce the interest expense. notable with regard to that ban which was over $50 million. It included $7.5 million that was mid-year borrowing that we did in December of 2024 that was rolled into that
ban from May. Therefore, we had an increase in interest payment of $320,00064 uh $320,64.98, but also an increase to revenue in the debt service reserve fund of $429,59125 due to the premium. The $320,000 transfer we're talking about will make up for the interest expense shortage, but we end up with more than $109,500 net savings because of the premium outweighs the additional expense. So, did the $7.5 million from December of 24 have an impact on that? To a degree, but not to a $320,000 degree. It was the overall interest based on that $50 million $50 million ban. Now, the way I am interpreting it is this. My role is that I am in the position of overseeing all of the various systems that work within this district. My first year as superintendent, we had a budget
of $83 million or thereabouts. This year, we have a budget of roughly $89 million. Next year, we just approved one for $93 million. On top of that, you have a $67 million capital project that we've now got from as of last May, and we'll do another ban coming up at the end of this May. We had that ban last year of 50 million. You put all of that together, you're dealing with hundreds of millions of dollars. And that is certainly not hundreds of million dollars that I am solely in charge of. There's a lot of different systems and structures that are in place. We do budget transfers as a way of being crystal clear about where the money's going. Those budget transfers are so we're not hiding behind a ledger. We're not hiding behind some
sort of journal entry with it. We're not depleting a budget code. We are using excess from a budget code to shore up where we need it. A budget is a plan. A budget is not actuals. So in terms of where that 320,000 came from, that's the response to it. That's makes up for that in terms of that interest in premium payment that's due in May. Frankly, the timing of it not ideal. We've been completely forthright about the timing of that. And you know, if I would have said to our business official, let's just wait on this a month and pay some late fees. The answer would have been without a doubt, no. Because as that's been said to me over and over, it's the right thing to do. >> Can I add something, >> please?
>> So, when we were at >> um the facilities meeting, I love that capital market gave us this schedule because it shows you what a budget for principal and interest payments. So the interest payment that is on the schedule is a net interest payment. It considers the revenue from a premium. So, because we got $429,000 of revenue to settle this ban, we actually made out $109,000. The revenue, >> that's what I thought you just said. Yeah. >> The revenue from the premium exceeded the difference of the interest payment. And that has happened six times. So, I look back at the history of and borrowings for the district. We've got an we've got a premium six times which increases the interest but it also increases the revenue. So this happens like all the time. It's not
unusual. Um if you got no premium, we didn't get that 429,000. the interest expense would have been way less and within, you know, it would have been actually $109,000 less than the budget. But because we got a premium, we made out on the deal and not only did we get that $109,000, but then we can invest that and earn interest on it as well. >> So the over the oversight, if there was one, was not having the 320 on the right line. >> No. a budget based on what's on the debt service schedule from our fiscal advisors. You don't know if you're going to get a premium or how much >> Oh, so because it's a surprise you couldn't have. Yeah. Okay. >> One time the premium was only $24,000. This time last May, it
happened to be $429,000. >> Now I catch you, >> right? So, if you look at the schedule for the 2627 school year, again, I budgeted what's highlighted on here, the principal and the interest amount from our fiscal advisors. If we get a premium on this uh $2,72,000 that's budgeted, the interest expense will be more, but you will also have that revenue on the other side. So the revenue is actually put in the it's called the B fund, the debt service fund. It's not in the general fund, the A fund. It only gets transferred into the A fund when you appropriate it during the budget process. So for 2627, you remember the um the reserve funds we were appropriating to the budget, 600,000 of that is from the debt service reserve fund. In 2526, we didn't
budget any use of reserve funds because we didn't need to to balance the budget. But the reason we did this is because um the debt from 2011 came off, right? You have a 15-year bond. So that came off. So what the fiscal advisors do is make sure because the um when you use money debt service reserve fund it has an impact on the tax cap calculation. It's actually an exclusion. And so all these pieces tie together to keep debt as level as possible to to keep the tax cap, you know, as level as possible without those spikes that there. >> So just to confirm the borrowing and the payment that would be due this month, was that on our debt schedule or not? the amount that's >> 1.5 million of the 2 million was >>
so and yeah >> so it just wasn't the the schedule wasn't high >> okay >> right now yeah correct me on that >> we got a premium >> right >> so they budgeted they tell us to budget the net because you got 429,000 of revenue but it increases 320 expense so be made out by $109,000. Is it positive? >> Correct. So, that's the outcome. However, I'm trying to understand how the way it was explained to me was that this was something unexpected that we didn't account for this on our debt service schedule. And so, the $320,000 was not something we were >> To my mind, you're talking about a larger budget transfer than anticipated. Christine can can weigh in on that, too. But like the idea of anticipating a $320,000 transfer. >> Well, you you
can't anticipate it until you close on the band. So, at the time the budget was made and you use this schedule, you don't know if you're going to get like the one year it was only $24,000 was the premium. So, that wouldn't really had much of an effect. When you have a 20 a $429,000 premium that a company is offering you to in effect reduce your in interest expense. That's who the fiscal advisor say accept this bid at your next board meeting because the net interest you take the premium and then the interest expense the net is lower than any what other companies have offered. There was one, if you look back at at the probably June board meeting when you accepted the May bid from the companies, there was one company we closed with
Bank of America, but there was one company that offered over an $800,000 premium. What that would have done was increase the budget of the 1.6 million to like $24,000 or two mill$2,400,000. but you would have had revenue of $800,000. So, you never know. So, if you're going to get a premium or not or how much it's going to be. So, but the way the fiscal advisors um do the schedule is you pretty much know what the net interest is going to be. Some some um premiums will be higher, some will be lower, but at the end of the day, the net is very close. So if you looked at like Oenheimr, Bank of America, you know, whatever company you offered the 800, if you took the premium off the interest, the net interest expense, they're
all pretty darn close. But Bank of America's was the lowest once you considered the premium and that's why it was recommended to go with that. So you would have anticipated doing something like this but you just couldn't have known the numbers until the >> right >> till the till the >> for sure the same thing will happen next year if this may when we close on May 29th if we get a premium the interest expense say it's 2.4 million but you're getting a $500,000 premium the budget's 2 million because that's what's on the schedule but you got revenue to offset the the increase of the interest >> just the fact that we assigned 600,000. >> So again, that happened because for for next year to keep debt service level. So it all ties into the
tax cap and and debt service. We had the 2015 bond fall off or I'm sorry, the 2011 bond fall off. It's 15 years. So 2026 it's done. So that's why okay we're going to use some debt service. We've got you know much bigger borrowing. So our principal and interest payments are are more. So all these things are taken into consideration when this is developed by our fiscal advisor. >> So we don't have any concerns about $300,000 coming out of our health insurance line. Is that going to be replenished at the end of like >> No, we don't have any concern at all. In fact, our health insurance is doing pretty well since we went with um Wall-E as our broker, our new broker. Our pharmacy rebates have been probably double of what they've been in
the past. So, and that couldn't have been predicted either because we switched consultants and we're and they're doing a really fantastic job managing the health insurance. >> How do they get such better rebates? Is that because they work with express scripts or something? >> Well, we we had a >> we got away from scripts. >> No, we're still with express scripts, but our previous consultants owned express scripts. >> Oh, that's right. >> The opiscation of the health care system where they skim it. >> Yeah. So, >> call Fair enough. I believe I need a majority in favor of that. >> I just want to call you. >> Does anyone want to have any further >> discuss? Does anyone have a further discussion? All right. So, we'll call. >> Uh, all in favor? >> All opposed?
