I think we Okay. Yeah. Thank you everyone for being here. I know uh this is a little bit of an unexpected workshop, but we do have the vote on this next week. Uh hopefully that passes and then before you know it, we only have three meetings before this project would actually start, right? Not all of it as shared with the board, but we would kick off in terms of the various different stages of the project. >> Correct. But I mean, it would be it would be a go from that from that point on. Yes. This gives us an opportunity to get those questions out. >> Hopefully minimize the amount of last minute emails to the superintendent and and Mike and the architect and and just to try and get all those questions that you may
have now uh out in the open. And then we will have, I guess, other follow-up meetings as this progresses to make other decisions. But as it relates to the overall scope of the project, that's kind of what we're here to talk about today. So >> yes, so the scope hasn't changed from our last presentation, right? Um so as as Mr. Ul shared the question and answers, the questions that the trustees already shared with us, right? I shared them with um our team so that they could they could address those um in advance. So really, I'm going to turn it over to uh John Grill, right? and Michael Judis, our facilities director and our architect who will walk us through the review the planned project right as we have um you know looked obviously in terms
of for state approval and then we'll be able to kind of dive into some of the questions use some of the diagrams and again address any questions that the board has. >> Thank you. Good evening everybody. Um >> we're good now. >> Red is on. Okay, perfect. Um, next slide or do you want me to grab a There you go. >> Yes. >> So, this is just the, you know, the ind the initial rendering of what we've been talking about for the last year or so. I think I first did a presentation in August of uh in April of 25. >> Um, the four tennis courts, the basketball court, the handball courts, the walkway here, and then the seating areas with the the canopy, the sun gates. Good. Um, I also wanted to show you
a couple of things that we were looking at in terms of the benches, uh, different options for tables and chairs. And I know we had talked about in some of the questions that we received from from the trustees. colors by all means once we have the contractor on site we'll be able to select colors but the way I worked with Maryanne Saddowski on this because we were behind the eight aboard because the state wouldn't didn't think that that we had approval to use prop money we had to do this other prop so the plans and specs have been up online on the website since the first week of no the last week of April [snorts] they're going to be on the website and they're listed as only for like reference conference only, review only. It's
called an RFP. There's no bid, there's no anything. Two days after the budget vote, the ad will appear in the paper for the formal bid. And then on the 29th is the public bid opening. What we'll have in here, the contractors will bring in their bids and we'll open them up. So by the time we say pencil's down on the budget vote, the we really can't make any more changes because if we do, >> we're going to miss the summer. And I I no means want to like get the board members upset that oh my god, you're backing us into a corner. But at some time because it's public versus private, we have to say at one point pencil's down and then anything we decide to do after the bid opening becomes that ugly words
that nobody wants to hear as a change order. So we want to try to make sure we have every single thing that we could possibly think of beforehand. And you know, even if we come away tonight and there's a couple of changes you want us to make or anything like that, we'll do that. We'll have to put out an addendum to the RFP because there has been 20 or so contractors that picked up looked at not only this we have the you know we have the interior the tech room so we have plumbers mechanical um GC's site guys have all picked up my concern right now is we still have no not one electrical contractor has looked at drawings yet and all I hear from electrical contractor after electrical contract since March We don't need
any more work this summer. We're done. Unions are empty. Union holes are empty. Nobody can get Nobody can get people. So, I'm trying to beg and plead to get a couple of, you know, electrical contractors just to pick up. But they are, this happened last year on the plumber side. The plumbers union hall was empty. The city plumbers didn't want to come out because they make more money. And then we one of the companies actually got upstate plumbers union from Westchester to come down to do work, but they didn't want to work on a Friday because they didn't want to deal with Friday traffic going from Long Island to Westchester. So, it's it's been a little bit of a of a grind here, but I mean, we'll work through all of that. Um, really, we
just want to take a look at all of this and the overall the last minute questions you may have, comments, concerns, that kind of thing. Um, so this is just another the overall plan of what we're looking at. Again, anything with a color we'll be able to pick. You know, why don't I don't know exactly the color blue we want, but we'll get the color swatches from. You can actually go online some of these tennis court companies and you can pick what you want it to look like. I always do US Open green and blue colors and then, you know, you can change up accordingly however we want to do it. the same thing with the with the sales. Um, the one thing we have to do is I have a base bid, which is
the base contract, and then because we have to make sure we're under that budget, I think I have seven or eight alternates that I want to kind of walk you guys through so you see what we could add on, you know, depending on where the numbers are. Um, and what I did, I broke them down So, some of them are small alternates, some of them are a little bit on the bigger side. Um, we did the brick arch. Can you go to the next one? One more. The brick arch on the right that we have as as an alternate alternate number one. And then the walkway that says the WB. Right now, we have that alternate two as a stamped concrete. And then the base bid would just be um regular concrete, not not decorative
stamp concrete. [snorts] One other one I'm looking at now, which I think I want to add is another alternate on [snorts] either side of the walkway, whether it becomes concrete or the stamped concrete. I'm I'm calling for, you know, top soil and seed. I think I might make that as an alternate as the landscape turf that matches some of the sitting areas. Just have another alternate. So, because if we have that, you know, I mean, you know, on a school, kids are all over the place doesn't always grow grass right away and we got to deal with, you know, that kind of stuff. So, I might add that as well as another alternate just to give us some more flexibility. Um, we talked about the 10-ft high fence, one around the handball court. We did
an alternate for a 10 foot high fence around the basketball court. Those are ones we could, you know, decide to go with or not. >> Um, tables and chairs, I put them in the bid. We might be able to as a group or as a district purchase some of those directly cheaper. >> Um, you know, one of these landscape manufacturers, a JS Mchu, an H& Young Equipment, those guys, we might actually be able to get those a little cheaper if we don't have the additional marker from a general contractor, you know, something something to that effect. And then the sun shades, the sun shades could be a big number. Um, we had the renderings of them over there. I mean, they could be upwards in of, you know, $200,000 worth of sun shades, you know,
based on the uh functionality of them, the size of them, you know, the size of the footings that have to go in. So, we'll have that and then we'll have a total with all the alternates. And sometimes you'll see contractors give us a breakdown or a discount. you know, you'll you'll get the base bid, you'll get your six or seven alternates, you add them up and it's $30,000 less because sometimes they give voluntary discounts and they you know, so that's something we can we can take a look at as well. Um, you mentioned uh just a just a quick question. You mentioned like um Hey Frank, you mentioned the fixtures like the benches and stuff and I know we're not deciding anything with that. >> Um, is there lead times that concern you with that?
In other words, if we're in the in the summer at some point, are we all of a sudden going to get hit with, "Oh, those are two months out. Those are a month and a half out." >> That definitely can. And if you go back to the a couple slides back, I'm sorry. >> There you go. Those are the those are the the benches and the tables and chairs that we that we selected and we have them in the bid because we have to give them something. >> We have to give the contracting, you know, something to bid on. But, you know, as we get closer, everything in May and June starts to get, you know, further and further out and, you know, >> you don't want to put because the benches could be set
in the tables and chairs, you want them really cemented in place and then put the landscape turf after them. >> So, if these are and I'll I'll check for you guys and I can let let the district know. We wouldn't want to do the turf till the benches and the tables are here. So that might depending on what that lead time, we may want to jump in to get a different manufacturer. You know, something that might only be same style, same, you know, same quality, but maybe it's a fiveweek lead time as opposed to a eight or nine or 10 week. And we'll also let you know if there are any kind of special colors, you know, they a lot of them they have the standard colors like I think over there's like what is
it six different colors? They might have special colors, but they'll be long lead, you know, and then we'd have to decide we want to wait three, four, five more weeks. >> Understood. before the colors come. >> And for our newer trustees, right, um this process includes actually samp act actual samples, right? Like we'll when once we select the contractor, then they'll it may be like the actual material, right? And we pass them around which one do we want to go with, you know, darker wood, lighter wood, not wood, plastic, right? And the color. So we'll actually be able to kind of look at them in our hands, right? And pass them around and then select from there. That's always the case with all our projects. >> Okay. >> You had mentioned finding electrical contractors. How
much electrical work is out there? >> Well, electric This is also being the tech room uh as part of this. So the technology is the lighting and that kind of thing. But we did add all over one of these slides [snorts] before. So one back. So all of these purple lines what we had talked about last meeting and drags everywhere. Anything in purple, we're going to have electric conduit in the base from area to area back to the building. You can do Wi-Fi. We'll get we'll get conduit all over the place for future lighting, whether it's, you know, nighttime tennis lighting or if it's just security lighting or if it's just accent walkway lighting. Conduit will be everywhere so we can kind of pick and choose as we see fit. But we'll do that now
so we're not ripping up asphalt after the fact. >> Got it. So future proofing it. We're not putting lights up now in this bid. That'll be in a future bid. Correct. Got it. Correct. >> Is there going to be like a hose hose bibs somewhere around where >> uh where >> we we currently have water on the concession stand. That's obviously a topic that we were looking at. Um maybe demoing that. Most likely we're going to do a demolition with that. But we can maintain the water line. That's >> okay. I was just curious in case there was ever something to be planted down the line rather than just planting and hoping for rain, we could actually plant things and water them until they set. There's also the existing RPZ and the water system, the
irrigation system is still in place on the um >> on the far side of the field on that's not con street, that's Tuker, but um this where the other access gate is to the football field from the road. Give me just the opposite side. >> Yes. So there's another water source there. You know, if we had to maybe bounce a water line off of that, um it's something that's already in the ground. >> All right, great. Like Chris said, have enough water access in that area accessible in the future might be a good idea. >> One other thing I thought of as we're talking about, you know, this would be grass and top soil based landscape turf as all in it. You know, where do you stop with a project like this? There's asphalt everywhere.
There's grass everywhere. This whole area here is natural grass. So if we did this and we able to accept this alternative as turf, I would run a concrete curve line here flush. That'll separate the natural from the surface, the natural grass doesn't into the turf and then you get, you know, you're picking out the edge of it >> and it'll prevent, you know, got, you know, somebody's not paying attention. They're on their ride on lawn mower and all of a sudden they're halfway onto the turf. So, we'll put a 6-in curb that'll be exposed to separate the grass from the turf. If we're able to do that that alternate, >> that would certainly give a better impression the the turf. >> Yeah. >> Did you say we're probably demoing the concession stand now? >> Yes,
it was of the because it was condemned. So, we were talking about what we could do with it. >> Um, you know, it it seems to me that the best thing to do is probably do away with that. >> Okay. >> Just get it off of our docket for safety. You know, we don't want it to turn into an eyesore or have any issue with intrusion of pests. >> Yeah. >> that's not part of in terms of this >> project. Got it. So just I the where the end of the walkway is. What kind of fence is going in there? Is there not going to be a fence? I'm sorry. I can't like totally see that. >> So this this comes what we're doing is we're redoing a lot of the asphalt around back here.
>> Yeah. >> We go to put the 10 foot high post in the concrete curves. This edge is going to get ripped up. So that's going to be new. So we'll have a new man gate here, a new maze gate, and then a double a pair of double gates. >> So it'll be similar in size to get things through. Okay. Understood. Thank you. you know, and then you know, but like we do have some existing fence that kind of and just where do you stop? Where do you start? It's like, you know, >> so the as the the black top that's in front is that's all coming out. Is that >> go back? There you go. So, what So, anything in the light, this gray is all the new as >> Okay. >> I'm running
a new concrete sidewalk along the building here. And then this is going to be repaved as part of the restoration piece of the sidewalk. Um, and then this will all be all the new here. We had talked about emergency vehicles here. It comes out about 25 ft of asphalt between the edge of the concrete and the the planting areas. This I think is six or eight feet in between here. And then this, like I said, this will be natural grass, but we'll add the walkway the curve there. How wide is that new ash vault there? >> 25 ft. >> And [clears throat] there's room over here if because I know we had talked about how we don't have if we don't have concessions and we might commonly they use food trucks in that area. Could
a food truck still fit >> from here? >> No, I guess we wouldn't go on there. It would have to be there and drive on that. >> Yeah, but before is what I'm asking about where you touched the second time. There would be able to be and then emergency vehicles could still get past. No, up at the top. Y here they could. >> Oh, okay. >> Yeah. And then we're adding a new drop curve here. >> Okay. >> Right at the edge of the building here. >> But you know, if we go with the arch here, we're not going to want [clears throat] anybody ever driving on that side. >> But that but that area she's talking about, I don't think we'd be able to get a truck on that area. >> But he's saying
on the side of it. >> Yeah. On the side. But you're talking about putting I thought you were talking about next to the walkway. That area. >> No, this is the grass area. >> Yeah. It wouldn't be wide enough to put >> You're worried about getting an ambulance on Yeah, if a food truck's there. >> No, we're just trying to find a place where we could put during games put the trucks so they're not too far from the field, but >> I guess potentially on the other side of >> Can we park them on the 25 foot emergency lane during during the game? >> I mean, it's going to be asphalt, you know. >> Okay. Absolutely. >> Where would be an access spot to get an ambulance on the field, >> right? >> From >>
there's going to be a new drivable gate, >> right? So this the driveable gate that's there is going to going to be replaced. >> I brought [snorts] this for our viewing. >> This is where the walkway is going to basically be. >> That's where it is. Now >> there's the other grass area here. >> Um we are doing the we were doing that here with the uh the gates and >> but if we do the wind up doing the archway we're asking you know the archway. make access on the opposite side by by the basketball court. >> Commonly, that's where they go. That's where they go. It's not right because right now we have all the fencing. So they they don't go through in terms of that, right? But they go through that side. >>
So they go through the parking lot on the side. >> It's through that far side. >> And that's the case now, right? >> You you mentioned the the asphalt, >> pretty much [snorts] all asphalt, no concrete. So how when the asphalt goes around those turf islands of seating, I I call them islands or whatever. I don't know. Uh how how is that broken? >> That's curbed. >> It's curb. Okay. [snorts] >> So it's concrete cur concrete trans all flush. Yep. Everything will be flush. So the turf will hit the concrete which will hit the asphalt. >> Okay. Um I think I mentioned this before. We don't have a very good track record of having asphalt put down in this district. There's always ripples and puddles. Um how um how with it being kind of this
lava flow of asphalt, h how is that going to be pitched properly and not >> rippled and all of the grades and we got a bunch of catch bases going in? >> Yeah. >> Around so everything will be pitched accordingly >> and we have grades and we set all the grades ahead of time so they know what what's going on. >> Okay. I mean, you know, after heavy rain, you could get a little bit of of a I mean, that's just natural. I think it's like on a tennis court. I think it's >> the depth of a quarter for 24 hours or some some rule like that and then it's acceptable, >> right? >> The tennis courts will all be pitched in a specific way. So, they all run to a continuous trench strain. So,
there'll be a continuous trench strain all the way across. So, everything is pitched together. Okay. >> And you said that's a sidewalk going along the building. We don't have that now, right? >> No. >> Oh, okay. >> What's nice about that though, there are some steps. So, they'll all be ADA compliant. >> Oh, great. >> That's that's going to be a factor in this um to get out of the gymnasiums and the cafeterias. It's just a one step down. And over time, they want you to be able to have a ramp to exit the building, obviously. >> So, right now, the the black top just runs into the building, right? It runs in and then there's some steps. Usually there's a >> outside of a door. >> That's just a one step down. >> So
that whole sidewalk will be higher than the black top. >> Everything will be flush. >> Oh, it'll be flush. >> There's a curve. >> Okay. >> Yeah. We'll modify everything so everything is flush together. >> When you say flush, you mean that it's going to go from the cafeteria door straight outside. No step down. >> No step. >> Okay. >> Yeah. And the 25 ft you mentioned >> from the islands to the back of the building, is that including the sidewalk or is that from the sidewalk to the >> That's separate from the sidewalk. >> Okay. >> So that's pretty much you could actually have two-lane traffic if you if you had that much action going on at the same time and >> you know not touch the sidewalk. >> It looks to me it's
a sixoot sidewalk, right? >> Yeah. Okay. So it's got 31 ft all >> Did you say those green islands were uh are going to have curbs around them? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Okay. So, they're going to have drainage in there soon. >> Yeah. I mean, the landscape turf with the sandbased and the drainage stone underneath, you don't even need a dry well under them. I mean, they it's the same kind of material in terms of like what they've been doing lately with playgrounds. I mean, the water just goes right through it. Um, so we wouldn't need a separate dry well in each one of those areas. >> We'll have dry wells for the for the hardcapes. You wouldn't need it for the uh for the landscapes. >> It's just gravel. There's no French drains underneath.
>> No, we don't need French drain. Nope. Nope. >> Is the material underneath the turf on the islands going to be kind of like that soft spongy type of material that's in like parks and stuff? >> There'll be it's there's a little shock pad and then there's a sand base inlay. >> Okay. >> I mean, you're not going to have the crumb rubber all over the place. There's no, you know, no black crumb rubber. It's not even the green crumb rubber. It's just >> sand come out of it then. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Correct. >> How how repable is that? Let's say you get some kind of damage with youth back there. damaging it. >> It'll be the same kind of repair if we, you know, the stadium field had the turf ripped up. You
got to, you know, bring the company in and they're going to have to probably reglue it or se, you know, seam it together with with a patch. You know, if kids decide to cut it or anything like that, it would be the same as anywhere. >> Would this be one big piece or is it going to be patches? >> Oh, that'll be rolled. That'll be rolled together. Yeah. >> So, it's one large piece that's going to be cut to the size. >> Yeah. And then seam is where you're trying to go. Does any of this work have like a warranty on it if anything was to happen? The tennis court develops a crack in a year. >> Two years is the warranty and I think Maryanne has in her spec three years on a maintenance
bond. Um you don't really see anything beyond two. I mean the benches, the tables, they might have some kind of a manufacturers's warranty that's 10 years, you know, from fading or anything like that, but other than that, it's usually two years. It'll be everything the inside the building, outside the building, the windows in the tech room, they're a 10-year warranty, though. >> Yeah. Nothing out there now has a warranty that's valid anyway. I mean, 70 years old or something, but >> Right. >> We've gotten every dime out of that. >> Yeah. It's >> Yeah. >> At some point, I don't know if as part of this project, we were talking about over the bleachers a stand that you were having a hard time getting >> press box. >> Yes, the press box. Separate. Okay. >>
It's I think we just got SED approval on that. And then I had reached out to three different bleacher manufacturers. Two of them didn't want to touch it because it was not their bleacher. So the manufacturer I tracked down the manufacturer that installed this bleacher back around 2000. They would put their box on because the other manufacturer was saying we would want to rip out all the steel, all the footings, all the pad and put ours in there. That's not going to happen. The problem is we reached out and I had a minor heart attack because they said it's about a 20 uh 12 month lead time >> for the for this customuilt press box. >> So, and that's part of that that grant or the uh the donation. So, we're working on that. So,
I was hoping to see it in the fall, but I mean they're telling me a year to build it, which I'm shocked over. I mean, you could stick build a thing in three weeks. Are they is that are they actually doing that? >> It's going to be a prefab press box, roll up shutters. It it's completely wired. It's got a an electrical panel in it. You just bring the electric right to here and it basically plugs the whole thing in. The lights, the upper railings, the roof, the whole thing is, you know, pretty much done. They just got to skirt it when it gets on site. >> It's going on that flat area that's up there. But they're they're just so we're on the same page and I don't keep emailing every few months that
we're on their list and they're going to construct it. Correct. It's in process. >> Yeah, that's already in process. It's just the the delay. The initial the initial piece was possibly October, but now we're really looking at probably late spring based on what they're telling us. But everything that needs to be done on our end is done >> from architect side, from the state side, from our end is done, ordered all those pieces. It's just them giving us >> I just had flashbacks from the scoreboard. >> Yeah. timelines of the of the >> the their you know the production of it per se. I just want to also crystallize right again that has nothing to do with the project because I don't want to confuse you know because that language obviously wouldn't be in the
proposition. It's not this project. >> Yeah. >> I'm just want to make sure I understand. I may as I apologize if you um >> the tennis courts are all going to be fenced in. >> Yes. >> Okay. Each one each individual one will have its own fencing or it's just one big fence with just four courts. 12 foot between the side, 21 ft behind the courts. So, they'll be, you know, regular courts right now. Right now, they're a little undersized. So, now they'll be, you know, fully sanctioned high school tennis courts, but one open area. >> Got it. And then the material for the court itself is concrete. You just got to paint over it. >> Asphalt. Okay. >> Yep. And then there's a seven-part system. You got to put the base layer and then
the first coat and this. >> So, that's completely getting torn out. Everything goes down to the subbase, drainage, dry wells, new trench drain. >> All right. So, we're not doing any resurfacing thing. It's completely >> total good. >> Great. It needs it. Yeah. We We're losing our home court advantage because now we'll have regulation courts and, you know, no weeds growing out of the cracks. So, it was kind of an advantage, I think, for our players. But, >> July is not going to be the time to be hanging out back here. It's just going to be a dust bowl and piles of asphalt and all that good stuff, right? >> Basketball court's also asphalt as well. >> Yeah. you sit >> and then the one thing is I'm sorry but on the tennis courts we
want them to sit for 21 days before we color coat them. So if anybody drives by and says why is nobody on the courts you got to get the oils off them. So you really want to get you really want to wait 21 days or you start to get you know cracking and that kind of stuff on the on the color coding. >> Will rain have any effect on that? >> Rain will definitely have we pray for you know one or two really good rains. I mean, if it's been bad, I mean, I've had them bring in a water truck and just to kind of hose the quartz down and try to get the oils up a little bit faster. >> Okay. >> But yeah, we would want a couple of couple of good rains.
>> Okay. Got it. >> You saying there was water out there from the concession stand that we're going to demo. I guess if it' be too late to consider putting like water fountains out there at all for the athletes when they're playing. >> You could. Um, it's just something else that you'll have to test on a yearly basis. those pipes and stuff, right? Filtration system out there, right? You would want all that >> associated with a new water line. >> Probably test. >> I'm wonder if you could put something off the building and do bottom battle filling stations with a cold water line and then, you know, with a filter there. We could look at something like that. I don't know. I'm not familiar enough with what's on the other side of the wall inside
the building to see if there's a water line kind of nearby. >> And as long as the resolution passes, the start date on this would be 71. unless you give it to me sooner. >> So there there are a number of factors that are going that are out of our control, right? And um with regards to the timeline, our ideal, right? And we had several meetings where John brought me back to reality, you know, in terms of timeline and all those different pieces. [snorts] Um so from a state perspective, everything that needs to be like to press the button, right? We're ready to go. We need the budget. We need the vote, the proposition vote, right? So once that happens then we share that that seal of information in terms of with John with regard
to the the proposition he sends it off as the last piece of the state and then they they go with it right we finalize the contractor bid process that we started right in terms of them viewing and taking a look at and prepping for but they can't officially submit the bid right until after that. Um, so we're going to kind of kind of we will be behind the eight-ball with regards to, you know, the the contractors, the ordering the materials, right, being being ordered and and whatnot. Um, there is a possibility that not all of it could be this summer, right? And depending on timing, depending on when things are coming in, as John mentioned beforehand, we may need to we have to hold to do this before we get it, right? Until we get
this. So, there are a lot of factors that are up in the air that we won't know until this process evolves right into June. >> When's the tennis season? >> Well, they don't they play over here in terms of at the high school in terms of the actual team. >> Oh, yeah. Okay. Right. So, there So, like if they had to do work through the beginning part of the school year, it's not in >> Yeah. So what would need to be modified is the football season in terms of um not necessarily the season but we would need to work with our other teams with section 11 in terms of you know >> right some some road games we did have that in terms of one year so we would have to make some adjustments that
way based on the construction plan >> because then the track would be off limits while that while the well behind the track is >> we wouldn't want to if we have again depending on to what extent if it's like you know painting type of thing right but if we have major demo or whatnot then obviously See there's no there's no access. >> We won't know any of that till we start. So >> we won't know any of that >> and that would be the case every year. >> Yeah. >> But that would be we would be starting this over the summer in any situation. So we won't know any of that. >> Correct. The difference is that aspects of what we're on hold on right now. We would have been right. We would have awarded
the work by now, right? Like we would have started the order, right? Like that's different, right? Um that is definitely what kind of pushes things off by about two months, three months, >> right? We want to make sure that you you'll still have the track and the football field for the entire time. Like we're going to completely separate that. >> You know, if the table's on here, okay, but demo will be done, the walkway will [snorts] be done, that'll be done. We might not have the color down on the courts, >> but you'll by all means have your track. Yeah, the major like concrete asphalt done in the summer without worrying about it falling into a new >> Yeah, because there really the big stuff there's really no long lead items on. >> Um Okay.
>> In terms of that, I didn't specify adjustable baskets on the basketball cuz usually then on the weekends they lower them to 8 feet and all those 5 foot three tall people try to dunk. How we're just leaving them a straight 10 foot. Yeah. Okay. >> Okay. Yeah. >> One question on the monstrous handball court. I know we we, you know, I know we're keeping it the way it is. We're cutting the fence off the top. >> Yeah. >> Is there a possibility or do you know of a way or maybe this is something that's done in house where maybe the first the top two feet of that could have some kind of a decal painted something that says like home of the Eagles or you know something to that effect because it's just this
big blank. It is going to be brand new. >> Oh, like it's getting ripped out, new footings, new wall. It'll be nice and clean. But yeah, by all means, I mean, we just did something in Huelet where they did a branding thing and they put the big >> mural of their I mean, they have a bulldog, so they put a bulldog there. But you could have it painted two-tone colors, that kind of stuff. Um, I don't know if I would want a contractor doing that, you know, one of these guys. They're going to be, you know, maybe that's something we can look at. I'll reach out to the athletic director in Hullet and see who they used. >> Right. Right. and then get something to >> yeah not get it over make it look make
it look purposeful you know if you can't if you can't hide it feature it and we can't hide that >> okay >> huge thing >> now Chris is talking about these decals whatever you put on that wall um what are the odds of these things peeling and five seven years down the road you have to redo >> I would actually do something painted I mean like a lot of times when we do stuff on the outside of concession stands we paint it on Um, I just don't think the decals will last. I think like, you know, >> if the concrete is kind of, you know, it's it's it's moist and damp for 28 days and then you put the decal on too soon and it starts to delaminate, that kind of thing, I would paint
it. I mean, I know initially you could put whatever it is at the 42 inch high the white um paint line so you could practice tennis on there. I mean, you could just paint it two different colors and then we can kind of figure out from there or something like that. But yeah, to your point, I don't think I would do a decal. I think I would do some kind of a a painted applique. >> Yeah. >> Great. >> So, on these uh tables and chairs and benches, that would all be uh plastic or or some graffiti proof, something. >> Yeah. And Michael and I, what we could do then is we could reach out and see what we can get in terms of some pricing from different vendors. So when we open bids on
the 29th and if their number is whatever $150,000, we could say, "Well, we got it for 92,000. We're going to go with this one." Still fine, still acceptable. We'll issue the purchase order to that person and they'll work with the GC, but we might be able to save a couple of bucks because they they'll have they'll mark theirs up, but the GC might take that mark up and mark it up again because he's overseeing the whole the whole thing. So, we'll look at it to see if we can save some more money that way. >> Have we gone to the parking lot yet? >> I'm saying are we did you have more to add on this? >> I think if you go >> a couple more. We did have the uh >> Keep going. >>
Yeah. We I mean that's the tech >> the tech room. >> Okay. >> The middle school tech room at the corner. Um >> so just so everybody John before you kind of go into the details of of that right so the tech room is not included in the proposition right and the reason the tech room is not included in the proposition is because the tech room we're utilizing funds from the other capital project remaining funds right and that was approved by the state education department right like that portion of it so that's why that the language with regard to the technology room isn't included in the new proposition on the 19th just for clarification still makes itable. Correct. Spence. >> It is required to Right. That's right. That's definitely part of the the mix, right?
The indoor work, right? To go with the outdoor work. >> Even though they're on two different propositions, >> it doesn't matter. Yeah. Just as long as the work is from a state perspect, right? Like you know where your funding sources, it doesn't matter. Uh inside work with outside work, right? So the full project is the 3 million, right? 8,000 that is um on the proposition. And then separate from that was about 52,000 from the other proposition, right? It's just for clarification purposes. You won't see that on the prop >> because that was already approved, >> right? But that didn't need to be voted on. >> That that was already voted on and accepted with the language that was written, right, by the state education department. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Yep. As one of the
list items. Yes. >> Okay. So, take it away and just reviewing that again. >> It's pretty straightforward. Um, new ceiling, new lighting, new ventilation, new rooftop unit, uh, sanding and refinishing the floor, uh, new work tables, um new windows around the two elevations because remember the windows were getting us we're working that's coming from the tennis court money the 2022 bond and the tech room is coming from the 2015 bond um pretty straightforward you know we get the new sinks for the plumbing the mechanical new electrical we work with the tech teacher to make sure we have all our outlets in a row and that kind of stuff smaller dust collection system Um, and then, you know, and then a little bit of paint. If you want to go to the next slide, please. And
then just some interior colors, you know, just painting on the the walls. Those are that if you there's the wood shop, then there's the offices, then there's another shop that looks like it used to be a wood shop. Now it's maybe a family consumer science room. And the big metal panelized walls are kind of big and ugly and greenish. So we'll, you know, have them repainted with the blue, you know, the the school colors kind of thing just to kind of, you know, doll it up a little bit. >> How involved this project with destruction and ripping out there involved with that or >> um some Yes, definitely. I mean, John can can speak a little bit more to that, but yes, and and we included the tech teacher in our meetings as part of
this process, right? To I mean the flooring can go into it. >> Yeah. Um >> we want that dust, right? Like what is that system called again? >> Dust collection. I mean there is a chance that I mean once we open bids I mean we can look this might be something >> that we have to push off till next year depending on some of the long lead items. I mean if the ventilation system is 12 weeks and the casework is 14 weeks or whatever. Do we just do that? I I don't you know I don't know. We got to kind of play that one by year. The windows you know there's some real long lead items on this unlike the tennis coach. It's pretty straightforward. So, that's something we may want to we may want
to think about as well, you know, once we open bids. So, then we'll have the contractor say, you know, how long are windows, how long are, you know, ventil uh HVAC, how long's the dust collection system? I don't want to rip it apart and then come September 1st, they have a basically an English room with a wood floor because all of the equipment that they need is not there yet. Understood. >> Um, >> so that's really a to be determined. >> But that's it for the tech. Pretty straightforward. Good. >> Okay. So, now in terms of um additional parking, >> so that concludes Prop 2 work. >> So, for the public that's watching, now we're on to Prop Three um jobs. Yes. So, we have um two areas we identified, you know, given the building
consolidation, we have a little bit of a parking uh challenge. So, we're looking to expand some of the parking lots. And on this placer here, we've got JFK's on the top. We've identified an area already on the property that's blacktop. Um, you know, as far as the spaces. John's going to kind of give us an idea of what that's going to pick up for us. >> I I think Michael said, "I'm going to put it into KBT." And he he did it and he sent it to me. It had like 170 parking spaces. It was all it was all golf cart parking. So if we had golf cart parking it was going to be fantastic. >> We figured around between 60 and 70 we'll be able to fit and that's within the ex if anybody
goes to the back of that building now you'll see the beat up asphalt area. That's pretty much where we're going that and that's a a little bit of a driveway there but we're not going to really we don't have to take any trees down or do any kind of that stuff. >> No, you're talking about JFK. >> Yeah. Okay. Yeah. We're just I think we're just trying to pull up the uh >> it's going to take a little bit. She's not shared, right? But you know, she'll she'll pull it up. >> Uh but basically, our priority in terms of where, right, for the additional parking was to try to um not reduce any playing spaces in terms of fields, right, for for students. Um not have to take down any playgrounds or anything along those
lines. Um so really taking a look at our facility in general and seeing where we could do that. And the other piece was ideally no trees being removed, right? So it with these areas that we've um identified, we check off those boxes, right? >> Yeah. >> Go ahead, Mike. >> So the challenge with JFK is obviously there's a limited amount of frontage to the building. There's ball fields to the west. There's the um the driveway to transportation behind South Bay behind it, right? And there's a field to the east. So you know, the best place that we found was the existing black top area. And again, the challenge here is that in this picture, you'll see that there's a playground and we just replaced that playground. So even though in the Google map shot, it's
the old playground. The brand new playground is currently there. So what we don't want to do is disrupt that new playground and have to, you know, demo it and buy a new one or demo it and then find somebody to hopefully put it back up. I don't know how that works with liability. A lot of these companies don't want to do that. So, this was one area that provides um you know, a parking area without impacting access to fields, cutting down trees, uh or the logistical challenge of not being able to pull into the front of JFK and then accessing an expanded parking area. Any other location on that property, if we don't go with this one, would start to present those other challenges to us. The access from the front to the side, terminating
the baseball field. let's say if you know we decided to go to the west. So to me this is um already kind of there for us. So that's what we're exploring for parking for JFK. >> I'm sorry if you said it. I apologize because I was trying to pull it up the aerial view. Um >> that space is already there. How many spots did you say that that would could get? >> We we we don't know. >> Oh wow. I didn't realize it was that large. >> What's So they're still entering the main parking lot the same way? >> Yes. So this >> how are they accessing that area? There's so there's a gate there currently. >> I didn't realize that. >> And that gate would swing open. Right now, the custodial and kitchen staff
park back there. Okay. >> Um so we would want a a lane to continue and then go around. There's a um rehabilitation building on Grady's Neck Road, right? And their parking is there. So we would want that lane to kind of piggy back around their their property line and then provide the parking space where the black top currently is. >> So they go through this little lane here, make a hard right, and then come in there. Correct. Correct. >> Is there going to be >> Well, it's not as small. If you look at the perspective with the cars that are in the parking lot, it's >> Right. >> Yeah. But like one and a half lanes. I imagine we would want to extend expand that. >> It'll it'll be I think that was just a
kind of a last minute Google Earth kind of >> chat GBT thing. It'll be, you know, 24 ft wide. It'll be two lanes with drainage and curves, the whole nine yards. We just wanted to give you guys a kind of a >> a location. >> Understood. Understood. We didn't want something that was going to over uh express how many parking spaces there were. So, initially the AI rendering did throw a beautiful, [laughter] you know, parking system in there, it was great. But when you start to look at it geographically, it's it's not feasible. It's not in it's not to scale. >> So, we're disrupting really nothing at this point. It's already there. It's just a matter of >> correct fine tuning it. No trees, nothing like that. So, that's great. >> And we should have
the surveys done next week and then we can start the design work on on those new buildings. We've already field measured and done the drawings for this for the ceilings, the car ceilings. Um, and we're working on the PA system at the high school working on that whole package. >> Um, would there be fencing around this? >> Um, there's fencing currently there. We would have to terminate some fencing here. So, I mean, as far as fencing, I we didn't add fencing into >> I'm just thinking from a practical >> prop language, but I don't know if that's something that could be added into the scope. >> Definitely. I mean, the four foot high because kids are right near >> That's what I'm thinking. They're going to be playing recess right next to teachers cars. >>
Just to kind of >> have some them from running into teachers. >> Yeah. Okay. >> And this isn't a big thing any of these square footage per child ratio. I know we had a problem. We talked about that with South Bay with building on it. I'm not South Bay Santa. Yet there's so many so much fieldage per child. >> This is already there. >> It's already asphalt. That's not accounting for it's not removing um playgrounds. >> Existing resistance. [clears throat] It's just a matter of cleaning it up, widening the lane a little bit. >> Drainage. Yep. Drainage, maybe lighting, you know, depending on >> Well, you won't reap. You're not going to rip this up or are >> you for like a basketball court? >> We're going to we're going to pull it up. We're
going to put new 6 in subbase, inch and a half base, inch and a half top. >> Got it. >> Yeah. So, you know, even in the you know, if you got to plow it in the winter, you know, the heavy trucks on it and stuff. So, I wouldn't I wouldn't trust, you know, uh driving on that. What's there now? Probably >> and and then no drainage most likely too. You know, the drainage is probably a challenge as well. >> Um, you know, and then we have a pathway that's there too for the staff to enter the building through the side door. So, there's, you know, there's something already existing for their convenience to get in. Um, but that's our idea for JFK. >> Is there a time frame on that on start to finish?
So the the because we this prop three ceilings and the PA I mean the timing is you know I'm I'm thinking you know we're not going to be really able to do a lot of this work this summer but these parking lots we could easily do in the fall and then some of the smaller we could do ceilings over the brakes you know do ceiling lighting of you know the first corridor over one break and then over the second that kind of thing but we're just not going to have, you know, because I mean the the big piece is the electrical, the lighting and the PA. I don't think we're going to find anybody, you know, because even if we had this designed and done and up to the state by the end of probably
the middle of June because we're still only getting the survey work back. >> This is for the parking lot. >> The parking lots, the ceiling and lighting, they have to go together. So, we get the building gate on the parking lots. You know, they're going to be up at the state for probably four weeks or so um to try to put stuff out. In the middle of July, I'll just get a lot of contractors pulling up laughing and then hanging up and and nothing else will take place. This is probably going to be pushed off until fall breaks and then finish up next summer. >> The good news, the good news is in parking lots, we can execute those during the day, you know, during the school day and obviously coordinate with the building administration
to try to eliminate any uh playground areas being used and and maybe make a little bit of an inconvenience for the duration of a couple of weeks. um as things get put together. But we'll visit that I think as we go because we want to, you know, we don't want to have a negative impact, but we want to maintain a workflow that puts these parking lots in place to kind of close the project out. >> Would this be different contractors than the ones that are working on the junior high? >> Yeah. Every time they go to the state, we have to have a new set of bids. You can't that would be called a change order, and they the state really wants to limit any change order below $35,000. You need to write a novel
to Why? But this isn't even at the same building. So, we couldn't even add a change order for, you know, the JFK tennis court to do the, you know, the Tuker parking lot. I mean, the the middle school, you know, that kind of thing. >> You really couldn't. It would be a new new round of bids. >> And because we submitted this or we said a prop three a little bit kind of late to Yeah. In reality, >> this is not happening in July of this year. Correct. >> The likelihood. Correct. And and and I think everyone understood, right? Like so ultimately, right, in terms of the addition of the um the ceiling tiles, lighting and the parking in these pieces. That was about a month and a half, two months ago, right? Again, we
also have to >> different than the junior high school. All this is much simpler in terms of for John seemed to put together, but obviously the inside work, the ceiling tiles, the electrician, right? All that that's >> more involved um and that has to go to the state and then again there's a process of their approval. >> So that is definitely >> fall to possibly spring time, >> but it could I mean, as long as the prop passes, like we could theoretically start replacing tiles and doing electrical work on the Christmas break, >> right? >> Yeah. The brakes as as they were, right? Like this area or that area, right? >> Right. Obviously, you can't do everything all at once. >> Definitely. >> It's got to start at some point and delays happen. As much
as you plan on one side, they happen. I mean, when I got here, >> that huge capital project is in the midst of >> tearing schools apart and it was always a race to get the the buildings open. So, it's >> it's kind of what happens, but it's got to start. >> All right. >> As long as that lane's widened out, it's Yeah, it's right now it looks like it could fit one and a half cars. >> Yeah, definitely. Definitely our focal point is to make sure we've got enough egress for two vehicles, especially in proximity to the playground. >> Katie's point, making sure that the fencing is protecting the cars from the the kids from the cars. >> Yeah. And and our understanding of for today was here's a location, right, that we're proposing
so that we're not reducing field space, right? We're not, you know, kind of hitting those other areas and then the specs and whatnot. Then together >> when I don't I'm not a JFK parent, but when they do like a black top only playground day, is it on that other blacktop or have they been using that? I'm just curious if it's going to change like recess for that school. >> Um There's cars parked on that lot now, right? >> No, >> there's an area that there's some, you know, people in terms of that that park over on the other side. Um, they'll >> need to focus on, right? In terms of the fields, >> we could certainly follow up with building administration. Um, from what I've observed, I've seen the kids on that fifth grade playground
on the east side of the building, which is where this parking lot is. I've seen the kids on the field and then I've seen the younger kids on the baseball side where the K1 playground is. Uh but we can certainly just double check to see if there's an impact if we wind up commandeering this black top area if it impacts the you know the playground or the play time for the >> static to have additional parking. >> Um so yeah. >> All right. The um if we could move on to the next drawing and if there's any further questions. The other one is Tuker. It's a little bit more straightforward because there's just more property. Um, so the rendering there is a black top area on the west side of the building which is just
off of Cone Street. So currently there is u a parking driveway because again custodial staff and food service staff are using that little back area uh to park. So we would just kind of go off to the south of that and uh pave a parking lot. >> What else? Is it grass now? >> It's just grass now. >> That's where we were standing. Mr. recommend I own that area >> and no no trees or anything that removing there. It's just open grass. >> Yeah, just open the street line there. >> Yeah, that's cone. Yeah. >> So, you'll leave the trees alone. >> We would leave the trees alone. Maybe some pruning if it came down to it, right? To just kind of take them off of the new black top if you know you don't
want things to kind of >> interfere with a new right now. There's no fencing. >> There's no fencing or anything. There's no student. There's no student play on the right. >> They some they not necessarily play. They'll have different programs sometimes, right? Um, >> you know, the fire department when they go and they kind of do some different demos, they'll pull up there and the kids, you know, they'll have the whole building sit in the grass, right? That's >> where I got you. >> Correct. >> Yes. >> There's cars parked there. >> No, because that trucks coming in. It >> it shouldn't I mean that parking area is going to be, you know, kind of off to the side. So it it they'll use the same the same entryway, but I don't think we have
standard sort of trucking to interfere with um the arrival of of >> most employees get creative with parking as well. >> Yes. >> Will you have or or be rest in that parking lot? >> We could because we have the bus loop in the back. So if we wanted to add another way again, as long as we're not adding to um interference through arrival and dismissal points that Mr. Jamano has set up, but we have the ability to have two points of um of egress or exiting and entrance for that area. >> I think if we'd added one closer to to the to the bus circle, now you're infiltrating the walkway that's there. I don't know. >> It'd be a crosswalk. Again, it's going to be depending on the operation of the building. >> Um
>> the engineers would figure it out. >> Yeah. And the survey, you know, again, the site survey would would kind of give us an idea. Our goal definitely for this was a simple parking lot for additional parking, right? You know, in terms of >> chaos, right? >> Right. So, we we want to get as many cars as possible off of the the street on both sides, right? And then um into the regular parking lot as simple as possible, right? So, it's not off the charts in terms of cost, right? Um obviously safe, right? But definitely removing those cars from the streets the way that they are parked because if they land in the parking spot, then obviously from a dismissal perspective or just pick up and arrival, then that changes things significantly on both those
streets. >> How many spaces are you looking at here? >> That's closer to uh I forgot what we had for that. That that's obviously less than that. I mean, it looks a little it looks like that's bigger than the other one, but that one is much smaller in times. I thought it was like 30 or something like that. >> So 30 to 30 to 40, you know, something like that. Okay. >> And um you wouldn't put a fence around this then, right? Because there's no it's not a playground area anyway. I mean, you could, you know, if we decide we don't want to, we just we just don't include it or if we want to fence it in. >> Yeah. I wouldn't >> Yeah. Well, now they release now in the They release now on
the Tuker side. >> So, everything is released now on the Tuker side. >> There's the bus side on Forest Avenue. >> So, they don't release from there, >> right? And then in the morning, it's reversed. They they go into the building. The walkers and the driveups go on the farest avenue side. The buses go on the Tuker Avenue. So with the issue we have the way we saw during the season, would you put this project the priority in front of other things or no? >> Well, it it um it won't >> when it gets approved and we're allowed to do it. >> So on on our end, it's not necessarily that we're going to hold something back because we can't do the work. Once we can do the work because they're different contractors or different
buildings, we conceivably be having work in different places happening, right? Um, so it's going to really be out of our hands in terms of the timeline. We wouldn't say, "Oh, we're going to hold on this one or push this one forward." >> If it's available and the timing works and it's October, let's do it. >> And then this money, we can only spend it on ceiling, lighting, and parking lot in the PA system anyway. So, >> right. >> Well, restricted on that. >> Well, it's the same funding source in terms of Right. And it has to go up together in terms of with the state because of the aid piece as well. We could add flood lighting off of the building or, you know, if we >> if we deem that it was too dark
or there's a safety issue, we could certainly add parking lot lighting. There's even systems now that are 100% solar. >> Um, you're not even running conduit and wires. I don't know how reliable those systems are. John doesn't like them. I love them. I love them. But, um, >> so, you know, something putting in conduit and kind of the whole gamut, right? Like you're going to gut it. We're going to >> obviously at took we could probably go right off the building as Michael had said, >> you know, JFK it would you would have grass on the back side of the curb. I mean so at any point you could just run condo and throw a couple >> and what would you do to to to >> future proof it for lighting like it's just just
like you just be able just dig a hole and just put a pole down there. >> I wouldn't I wouldn't do anything at this point because you would be on the back side of the curb. So the conduit would go on the back side and there would be a separate stansion for your footing and then the pole would mount right on top of it. But it all be on the grass side. You wouldn't touch the asphalt. >> So it would you wouldn't destroy something that you just put down, you know, whatever, six months ago. >> This is really for school day parking, isn't it? >> Yeah. But it gets dark. >> Well, if somebody's there after 4:00 with >> that tree line there, >> the other side of this is that we could put a
drivable gate and continue to reduce public access or weekend access to those parking lots. >> Yeah. Right. And then continue to have the traditional parking spaces still available, >> right? >> Um that's certainly something that um can happen, you know, because JFK already has that feature and we could certainly I think add that to the Tuker Avenue drive up because you have some fencing along the um the K1 playground. So it's it's something to that we can look into >> and um you know kind of prohibit some of the parking or the public usage of the parking lots. >> Would we be able to widen that driveway? I think to Steve's point, like let's say there's a truck there that's blocking it out and you got >> teachers that want to pull in. >> Definitely.
And we would look into that. You know, I would certainly talk to Mr. Jamano about his dismissal and arrival. >> Uh we'd want a a definitive demarcation area so we're not budding the parking lot or the putting veicular traffic too close to students walking along the sideway uh sidewalk. We want to make sure that, you know, again, this is a a cheesy AI rendering to try to give the public and give you guys like a an optical view. >> No worries. The ask is really just the wear, right? To show kind of >> Sure. But we'll we'll certainly make sure that you know, safety definitely first um with that. >> Cool. So, >> yeah, I think in regard especially in regards to um JFK, I mean, it's there. It's not We're not really changing anything
except upgrading what's what's there. So, it's it's a >> about as simple as you could make it, right? Okay. Okay. >> I'm gonna just take a look just to make sure that we've covered all the bases. So, a couple of pieces. Um on April 14th, I had shared with the board. Um this is kind of like a a summary of one of our meetings when uh John started off with a meeting uh with me of which news do you want? Which delay news do you want? Dr. Farrell, [laughter] >> I have to be honest with you. >> Yes. very honest. I appreciate it always. Definitely. So, definitely take a look at that when you get a chance. Right. It just adds to some of the um details discussed here. And again, just really this for
audience purposes, some of the trustee questions that were posed beforehand. Um you know, from a cost perspective, right, as John mentioned, we're out, you know, we'll be going out to bid and then again hopefully, right, in terms of those bids, the costs, right, will will come into play with some of the alternates and what we pick, what we don't pick. Um obviously again we have to stay within that 3 million and that 500 you know thousand uh mark in terms of those numbers. [snorts] Um a reminder again obviously the project does include the junior high school tech room. Uh a trustee question was about um the location and transitions. We addressed that you know in terms of throughout um your presentation John with regards to curbing uh we talked about colors designs all those pieces
that doesn't happen now that'll happen later on. Um seating area will there be seating area around the turf? Obviously, we talked about that and we saw that there. Uh the canopies, they are replaceable if you know years from now they they need to be um replaced and taken down. Uh lighting the conduits that was addressed beforehand um as part of John's presentation. Just kind of skipping around the wall being completely reconstructed. Can it be painted? We addressed that. You know, that that would be something that we could do um later on. I'm just want to make sure that we covered all the topics here. The width of the gates, the width of the different areas, we covered those. Fencing, uh, do we have an area location for parking at JFK Tuker? We did that. >>
What did we land on with the entrance? Everyone clear, you know, we have couple different alternates there and based on cost, you know, then we'll make that decision. WB logos. You can certainly stamp them around um later on when construction is over. [snorts] And then the concession stand that ultimately we are looking to demo it. That's not you know tied and written here. But we have a couple of different ideas of how we want to do that. They haven't taken my I'll put me in and let's try and do this something together. [laughter] That's not that's apparently not allowed. But John I mean Mike wants to definitely take the slab at it. Uh did we miss anything team? Any other questions? >> No. >> What will happen is we will adjourn and then you will
get bombarded with afterthoughts. So if we if we have anything on the tip of our head right now, let's try and get it so then everybody can hear the answer. >> That's okay. And again, our we're consistently obviously in terms of meeting as this, you know, evolves, right? Um after the bid process, right? Um after we review all those, then we'll circle back to our team here to say based on the bids, here's how we're recommending that we move forward, right, with this one, that one, this one, this one, and then we can have further discussion there. And then we take it from there. >> Very good. Thank you. >> Good. >> Thanks a lot. >> All right. You got it. Cheers. Thank you very much. >> You have a busy summer coming up with
other other districts or >> same as always. >> A tremendous project on the tape right now. >> Yeah. This is rush job. >> That's for him to worry about. [laughter] >> You're trying to have like a neutral face. >> I have to have a neutral. I have to Yeah. >> This is what he does. This is his wheelhouse. >> It's always It's always a a crazy summer. >> Well, we look forward to working with you. I know this is like the first big project you have with us and uh we got a lot to do in this district. Did did you just um if you don't want just that the facilities review because what's going to happen >> shared. Yeah. >> Yeah. No, a lot of people are going to bring up what aren't doing
this, why aren't they doing that? >> So other pieces I think I don't remember what what it is. I don't remember where but um so the next phase um is the um this is a fiveyear review, right? So John Grill, right? John will be doing that for us, right? that kicks off that summer and fall, right? You know, in terms of an overall review of all of our facilities. Oh, actually, it was my reflection. >> Building condition survey. >> The building condition survey is the exact title, right? So, when we get to that point, right, that John completes that review with their team, then we would be reviewing that with the board of education. Um and then at that point in time then as a board we can talk about you know what are some
of our priority areas that we really a should focus on from an emergency safety perspective or aesthetics right kind of whatever our team's priorities are for um you know possibly the next proposition right you know in terms of that would happen the following May for construction the following one right so we would go through that we would identify um not just from a proposition but internally right we We would like the facilities department to focus on the following, right? So, as a team, we would be able to do that, but that review would be um summer and fall, right? And and probably closer to end of fall, winter time, then we would have that discussion here. >> The fire panels are an example of something that came from that review from the last time, right?
No, not >> and the ceilings and bunch of other work. >> Yeah, definitely. >> Yeah. Thank you. >> All right. Good. >> Thank you, Mike. John, thank you so much. Need a motion to adjurnn. >> Yes. >> Anthony, Frank, all those in favor. All right. Thank you so much.
