go ahead i need a motion to approve the minutes of the following meeting the board of education or your video conference meeting of july 6 20 21. john chris all those in favor thank you i need a motion to adjust the order of the agenda and to approve the consent agenda john chris all those in favor john mr commentary he just thank you sorry just [Music] good evening i'd like to welcome you all to this meeting it's nice to see new faces if i could actually see your faces the board of education encourages participation of residents we are here to listen and welcome statements we are not poised to make a decision this evening we are considering the information shared in tonight's presentation and your statements the board will then have time to reflect and
make a decision at a future board meeting this is a board of education meeting as the board president i am the chair of this meeting and all such statements should be addressed to me only our current policy is a total of 15 minutes three minutes per residence statement time frame because so many residents are here tonight we are willing to extend the total time frame to 30 minutes still adhering to the three minutes per resident residents who wish to make a statement can do so during the statement of residence section on the agenda we ask that you state your name and address or write your name and address on the index card provided and presented to mr hanley or mr payne our assistant superintendents prior to making a statement also as a courtesy we will
request that if your statement has previously been made by someone else that you allow another resident to speak and make a different statement we have condensed our two statements portions to one so you may comment on all items and there will be no statements at the end of the meeting i will now call for motion to extend the time frame to allow residents to give statements for a total of 30 minutes three minutes per resident chris second john all those in favor that's everyone thank you dr farrelly okay good evening everyone let me just set up our screen okay so for our trustees you have copies in front of you of our presentation so you don't have to awkwardly look back and for anyone watching from home you'll be able to see the presentation directly
all right so where are we right now our priorities in west babylon remain exactly the same as we were beforehand we continue to be focused on the academic the social emotional health and welfare of all of our students staff and faculty we want to welcome all of our students back on our first day of school which is september 2nd this year we want to reestablish all of our pre-k through 12th grade instructional programs in person we want to enhance our social emotional mental health supports we want to establish our grant newly grant funded programs that will address learning loss due to covert 19 and of course we want to maintain safety and avoid interruptions to our in-person academic social and emotional programs so this presentation my presentation tonight is really focused on providing an overview
right of our proposed um reopening plan to our board of education they will consider the presentation in addition to obviously consider all of your statements during tonight's pres during tonight's board meeting so the school district reopening guidance documents that currently exist for all school districts to consider as they develop these reopening plans are these four documents right the newly reduced newly released new york state education department guidance document the suffolk county department of health services reopening guidance document the cdc the center for disease control reopening school document and the american academy of pediatrics right those are the three entities that have released reopening guidance documents for school districts so what have we been planning what are we looking at for september we are looking at in-person instruction for all of our students elementary junior high
school and senior high school not having a hybrid program or a remote program in accordance to the cdc the department of health and the american association of pediatrics we are looking and planning for uh three feet of physical distancing in terms of our instructional spaces throughout right that really allows us the ability to have all of our levels elementary junior high school and senior high school students in person um every day if you recall last year we were in a hybrid model and the reason for that was in an effort to maintain that six feet of social distancing we were unable to have our junior high school and our senior high school all of our students in person at six feet at three feet that really does allow us to have all of our students
in person on all levels we're looking at and we're proposing no longer having students in one cohort right we're looking at our elementary students traveling to our to their specials previously or last year i should say our special area teachers they came to the elementary classrooms so we would revert back to our students traveling to their special classrooms cafeterias we utilized them last year as instructional spaces right as classrooms for our larger sections in some of our buildings so we would revert back to our students traveling for lunch in the cafeteria plus possibly depending on the building we may need some additional spaces there because we do want to provide a little bit more distance there in terms of during a lunch program we're looking at recess with other students at the elementary level as
opposed to be you know together being together within one cohort or one class um we're looking at re-instituting and having tutorials extra help in person and of course everything that i am proposing i am proposing that we monitor you know if we move forward with all of these plans that we monitor and we adjust accordingly during the school year for our junior high school and our senior high school uh we are proposing that we move back to our traditional nine period schedule um for both buildings right so no more alternating schedule that we had last year as a reminder we had eight minute blocks for math english line social studies and then we had our electives and language um on opposite days right uh virtually so everything would be in person all of our electives
um would revert to going back to in person we would instead of doing temperature checks every morning right that's what we did last year we would do periodic temperature checks um at different points during the week at the building level instead of every day we would no longer require the family weekly questionnaire screening questionnaire that we had for our families and actually for our employees we had this questionnaire in place every day prior to entering the building so that would no longer be part of our reopening plan and that again is also in accordance to the release documents in terms of reopening of schools music if you recall last year specifically with music the guidance spoke about having our music programs particularly the use of wind instruments right um students seated um 12 feet apart
right so in accordance to the documents that we've reviewed music would now be six feet of physical distancing um if singing or using a particular wins instrument we're looking at and planning for orientation programs to be held in person specifically our incoming ninth graders right and our incoming sixth graders our junior high school and admin team are working to have those in person our clubs after school programs all of those in person we're looking at our secondary schools our junior high school and senior high school students utilizing the lockers in the hallway we didn't have that in place last year so we would like to reinstitute that this coming school year we also would like to um really again allow the use of our facilities in the evenings of course being mindful of our cleaning
procedures right being mindful of our cleaning schedules that we have in the evening with regards to cleaning of the classrooms and different areas but really starting to allow the use of our facilities in the evening the way we previously did of course continued emphasis on proper hand washing that would continue we instituted quite a number of cleaning protocols throughout our district we really were looking to continue with those right to looking to continue uh with our the additional buildings and grounds personnel that we hired spot clean and disinfect classrooms when they're not in use these are all of the different sanitizing and disinfecting materials that we utilize we purchased those electrostatic sprayers right we still have those we own those right so we want to continue with the schedule and utilize those during the year
we're proposing in terms of our district district-wide all of our nurses office we did establish isolation rooms in addition to our nurses office setup right so we want to continue with that current setup we want to continue with the communication systems that we had in place for our with our families um and of course an emphasis on both students and employees who are exhibiting any coveted symptoms for them to seek medical attention prior to returning to school for our co-curricular programs our proposal for september is that we continue again pre-covered uh mode here um we're looking at our athletics programs right continuing with the schedule as defined by section 11. um as of right now the schedule is normal schedule right fall winter and spring seasons are scheduled with spectators allowed for all our music
programs reinstated our art courses in person and our clubs as i mentioned beforehand in person transportation um that was a big if you recall last year we had we you know had asked our families to really to transport um their child if they were able to transport their child because we were seating uh one student or one family per seat we are proposing that we revert to running at full capacity um limits with regards to our transportation and that we continue the same entry um process that we had in place of course we also will continue with regards to the cleaning procedures that we put into place last year with our transportation department district-wide lunch i'm happy to share that the breakfast and lunch program will continue to be provided free for all students next
school year the usda has extended free meals to all students for this coming school year and that's to the national school lunch seamless summer lunch program snacks you know additional snacks and drinks those will continue to be available for purchase during our lunch periods we are also super excited and mr payne is going to provide a little bit more details with regards to this we are planning all these additional programs again all in-person programs for our students we're looking to utilize federal grants to pay for these programs you will be receiving information with regards to additional academic supports to address learning loss both at the elementary level and at the secondary level we're looking at establishing in-person enrichment programs and additional clubs for our students to socialize and engage in together in person providing additional
mental health supports in our schools and uh providing addition providing families with additional supports in terms of outside uh mental health supports as well this is all grant funded and again in a little while mr payne will speak to you know some of the uh the programs that we are working on for the new school year district-wide mental health supports right we've hired additional mental health service providers to support our students we will be doing conducting student surveys doing check-ins for our students to see how they're doing we want to make sure that we know when a student is struggling right we sent out our parent surveys asking parents to please reach out to not wait until september to let us know if your child's you know is struggling if you feel that your child
needs supports because we want to make sure that we are ready to provide that support for your child right again we have social workers guidance counselors psychologists in our school district that will be working closely you know with families to provide necessary supports parent supports we're looking at providing parent workshops we just recently held our first one and it was specifically dedicated to this topic of mental health supports employee supports as well mr hanley is coordinating different employee workshops for our employees throughout our district and of course continuing our sel district-wide focus communications where we will continue to post our any covet cases on our website dashboard that is in place there of course communicate regularly with our families and employees translate communications as we have been and uh conduct parent meetings right so once
you know particularly obviously right before school starts conducting um parent meetings to share uh the details that i just described in the previous slides so just to kind of step back a little bit right when we last year we wore masks we were seated six feet apart um we remained in pretty tight cohorts k through 12. um just a couple of numbers here we had approximately 257 students and 97 employees test positive for covert 19 last year as a result of that then that also resulted in us needing to quarantine students and also adults right so this just shows an overview right of how many students were quarantined and this does include some students that were quarantined more than once right that maybe had to quarantine twice um so the senior high school 459 students
were quarantined junior high school 404 you can see the rest of the numbers there we had thankfully zero cases where there was student to student spread within school right and and what i mean by that is let's say when we had a student who tested positive and then there were students that were identified as being close contacts right we did not have any cases where then that resulted in a positive coveted spread there we did have one case of employee to employees spread within school so i share this with you just to frame it under the umbrella of last year's parameters right and where we were last year with regards to the use of mass the use the physical distancing piece the cohorts and the other parameters that we put into play last year with
reopening of schools so this year the use of mass and quarantines as part of again the cdc the same documents that i referenced beforehand right where all of the other recommendations and the other proposals that i indicated um were listed the cdc department of health and american pediatric association they continue to they recommend the universal use of mass indoors for september the universal use of mass on the bus and mass optional outdoors just going to share in terms of close context right so close contacts are defined as anyone saw my definition this is you know specifically in terms of from the cdc and then the the department of health enforces it close contacts are defined as anyone who has been within six feet of someone who tested positive for more than 15 minutes right so
that was the parameter that whenever we received information from a parent that their child tested positive or from an employee they tested positive then we would then look back right and determine who the close contacts are for that individual based on specifically that right and that resulted in the quarantine numbers that i reflected in the previous slide right now right in the most recent cdc updates there is a specific exclusion there it says word for word in the k12 indoor classroom setting this close contact definition excludes students who are within three to six feet of an infected student if both students correctly and consistently were well fitting mass the entire time so in essence if universally massed right then that definition of close contact that i just described beforehand would not apply right their names
would not be submitted to the department of health as being a closed contact so the requirement or the non-requirement of mass in schools will have a direct impact right on quarantine requirements as we as we proceed so just a little visual right again i just shared with the board right in terms of our proposal for reopening um reopening schools in september of having all of our students back in person um we're seated three feet apart right because that does allow us to bring all of our students back without a hybrid model without an every other day attendance piece right um so this is just a visual right showing that you know in one case here if mass are not in the mix versus mass are in the mix right so if the circled students here
in the middle right um is unmask and test positive for cover 19 all the students with desks within six feet will need to quarantine for 10 days regardless of the mass status of the student um of the students within the proximity right this directly has to do with that exclusion piece that i just described beforehand so again the requirement or the non-requirement because it is you know right now um all of this everything that we are describing here right is at our discretion in terms of you know what we implement right and what we do for september for reopening of schools not referring to any directive from the state um this is all our decision in terms of at a board level in terms of these um the reopening proposed plans that i presented here
today it is important to know though that that is out of our hands in terms of that direct correlation is there right ultimately um if we decide to go with universal mass indoors versus not the impact that that will have on quarantine requirements so i end by saying we're in this together i really truly am so happy yes we're not exactly where we want to be certainly um not where we were for five weeks ago right you know unfortunately i'll say that but we're definitely in a much better place as you can see all of the proposed areas here are almost almost back to normal in terms of our schedule right in terms of our in-person instruction um so we will continue to have these discussions in the next couple of weeks and of course
during the august 31st board of education meeting um we are so thankful and i have to you know thank so many um of our parents i can't see you directly here because of the the lighting that i've reached out either via phone call or via emails to share your thoughts um with regards to reopening and we are looking forward to your statements you know here tonight as well please continue do not hesitate to utilize our chain of communication to share your questions your insights we do have um you know packets outside that have a list of all of our administrators and their phone numbers and their email addresses so please do not hesitate to reach out and to utilize that and again we're absolutely looking forward to welcoming all of our students and i see
a few of you here um in a couple of weeks with uh big smiles we can't wait to see you so with that being said um campesano i'll turn it back over to you thank you dr farrelly and i will now turn it back to you for the educational presentation um but we're going to um the statement no statement of administrators well there are none i'm sorry there's no statements of school administrators no statements of teachers no statements of csca no student association representatives and no pta council representatives unless someone from those yep or here and they wish to speak no now we turn it back over to you don't you i or do you want me to do the other ones i'll do these yeah okay sure yep okay nope mr payne if i
could where are you there you are so mr payne so for tonight mr payne will provide an overview of our district comprehensive we have our dsip our dc uh district comprehensive improvement plan as well as an overview of our grant expenditure plan by the way this um these documents in these presentations we have information on our website on these as well so please do not hesitate to if you'd like to read a little bit more um on with regards to the details of these check out our website because we do have those there already so mr payne take it away is that him yes mentioned on our website um this is exactly what i was looking for i feel bad for all of you now you got to hear me louder but uh no school
was added nor was any school removed uh so yet again uh we're developing a dcip uh for 2021 and 22. and really that consists of three priorities and i'm just going to run through those very quickly the first priority continues to look at the new york state literacy and content standards and those writing standards and literacy standards being embedded into all classrooms engaging content discussion in every lesson writing summaries and vocabulary so what we're going to work on for 2122 as part of this dsip is to make sure all of our classrooms are embedding those literacy competencies in their classrooms the second priority centers on uh really focusing on our vision statements and engaging students and finding ways that we can make certain that students are engaged in the lesson the way that we're doing
that is really focusing on some of our learning priorities and making sure that the learning priorities are clearly stated at the beginning of every lesson and more importantly that students understand what those learning priorities are in a sense um you know we've all seen classrooms and sometimes we'll go up to a student or you know a child and say what are you learning they're going to be able to answer us right away and that's what we want to see that engagement and that level of attention is one of our goals for this decent and then finally the third priority is to follow the new york state framework um for diversity and equitable learning by looking at our curriculum materials and making sure that they meet the new york state standards that they're asking us to
do this is a part of the decept this is what new york state requires and all it does is just ask us to look at what we're using and reflect upon them it doesn't require changes to the curriculum it doesn't require any changes to materials that we use unless you know the entire school or the committee and the teachers look at it and decide that's what they want to do so those are our three uh priorities and did the board vote on that already or are they voting on it because we need to uh the board has to vote on it already yeah so we're going to pretend they're going to vote but they already voted it's uh it's already through good yes you want me to move on to the next one yes please
in terms of an overview of the grant our grant expenditure so west babylon is very fortunate as have many schools in new york state uh last year toward the end of the year i'm sure many of you are aware received two federal and then through the state state grants one was the american rescue plan the arp the other what's what's known as the carissa and it's broken up into two grants is the e-s-s-e-r and the g-e-e-r you may think i'm making these up but these are real acronyms so i'm gonna say a lot of them i apologize uh but essentially we received over uh seven million dollars over three years and i'm going to say very proudly and with the board of education and dr farrell and of course all our administrators and teachers in
the district the majority of that money is going toward students learning uh and toward bridging some of those instructional gaps as dr farrelly had mentioned in our school reopening plan so very quickly i'm going to review for the board you have all this in front of you uh you should have three documents one of them is the arp the other one is the ger and the other is the ess er the arp of course is located on our website we've had public sessions uh where we've met with parents and we've covered it at the board of ed already this is approximately 4.6 million dollars over three years and 80 percent of that money is going toward our summer school programs and our after school and morning programs in the upcoming years uh we've already obviously
been through one summer and some of you may have experienced it as dr farley had mentioned but we had a great summer program uh six weeks and intervals of two weeks for the elementary and six weeks and intervals of three weeks for the secondary uh additional to that would be some of the uh learning losses that were associated with music that obviously was hard hit i mean every subject was hard hit last year but as dr farrell mentioned music and phys ed but particularly music was hit with 12 foot distances uh between learning and a lot of our programs took a bit of a hit so some of the money from the arp is going into increasing our music program and then additional teachers in the classrooms or even possibly to reduce classroom size for
this year is being spent out of the arp program over the three years so about 80 of that summer school and after school and then the other 20 is split up for the um the music program the additional teachers and some of the hopefully the morning esteem and enrichment programs that we've come up with for your children our students if you go to the next uh grant the esccr which is part of the carissa the coronavirus response and relief supplemental appropriations act the district received almost a little short of 3.5 million dollars over uh two years which is potentially extendable depending upon if we don't use money and it rolls over the es ser is probably the biggest of that is 3.1 million uh roughly and all of that money is going most of that
money is going toward um teaching extra teachers in the classroom or to possibly address students for the supplemental program after school as dr farley had mentioned social workers uh psychologists stipends for our current staff as well as new staff for mental health uh some parent workshops for parent engagement uh sick or quarantined student support uh hopefully we don't need it but it's there some enl support and then saw for some uh you know protection for safety of the environment as far as the virus may go uh we did get some more electrostatic sprayers as dr farrell had mentioned and additional custodians to help spray and clean everything throughout the district um some teacher pd is built into that esser grant uh as well as uh some and this was attached to some of the covid
requirements students that are over 21 that require additional uh education um if they're in a particular special placement we're going to use some of this money about 440 000 of that to pay for their uh tuition for next year at the very least that's a new york state requirement as well the ger which we're receiving about 350 uh is for additional counselors on the sixth grade level the junior high school a nurse additional nurse and then a majority that's going for destin chairs which is required it's really going to help us out for the cafeterias where uh we're saying for lunch and i think we mentioned this students are still potentially going to be six foot apart uh and the tables and believe me i've been in uh schools for a long time as nice
as the tables are and as nice as to have the kids sitting next to each other you just can't keep them six feet apart at those tables so that's why we need additional desks and chairs again breaking this grant these grants down i'd say about 82 of it is going for instructional and mental health supports you know the other 20 a little less than that parent-teacher pd health and safety and then the equipment pieces uh we're also potentially looking at additional uh in-wall air conditioners to help on the hot days as well as to make sure that um whatever is possible the air flows in the room we're moving in the right direction so that's the quick version any questions mr payne yes um where is the universal pre-k in this document it's a good
question it's separate from this it's separate but we were able to reach how many students thank you yes so 78 students right mr 78 students um will be attending our universal pre-k program right at no cost to the families right so that is through a separate line not except not in the grants that mr payne just describes um so the families have already you know registered we went through that whole process um their names you know we've created the class lists um and scope um who will be doing our upk program right has reached out has already sent out in terms of those letters so that is in the works and actually i think the next step is we're coordinating a little on-site visit for our little upk students coming in yes so that money
was above the dollars that you spoke in this entire document yes it was another one 500 and change i want to say 457 thousand dollars but is that correct mrs surakus yes 457 thousand dollars well spent yes any other questions in the programs so in terms of um all of these programs that mr payne just described yes please thank you um we will be sending out information to all of our families during the month of september right so there's a lot of coordination um that needs to happen with regards to these he mentioned specifically the academic loss and additional supports there so that will likely look something like an extended day school option you know for elementary families so we are looking at again depending on in terms of the families that are interested probably
again this number may range right but a class per grade per school right so let's say forest avenue a kindergarten first the second third fourth and fifth um and again that may be more than one section per right depending on in terms of the need more students would be able to stay and we would extend out their day and then we would be providing additional academic supports for them right so that that's kind of probably just on the logistical end we are also working with our wonderful transportation um department because we want to be able to um embed transportation as part of that right so if you leave a regular time you have transportation and if you leave at the end of the extended days school program we're trying to embed that as well um
in the mix same thing in terms of the enrichment you know and additional other social opportunities and enrichment programs that we talked about at different times so um if you're wondering in terms of when is it starting so not not the first day of school um you know we need to obviously you know coordinate in terms of the who right who will be that's when mr hanley comes into the mix right of um placing um individual teachers right um to oversee and to be part of all these programs so that's going to happen um in the next few weeks and into september and we're anticipating probably some time in october um that that would officially start but um we will send that information out to all of our families sometime during the month of september
and thank you dr farrell okay policies third time adoption i need a motion to adopt policy zero zero zero zero so who was that second matt all those in favor first time reading i need a motion to waive the reading and ma and move policy 8635e to second time discussion diane second who said that chris thank you you really can't hear me all those in favor that's everybody i need a motion to approve to continue to follow follow policy 1500 public use of school facilities i need a motion chris a second second john all those in favor that's everyone policy 1500 r public use of school facilities regulations i need a motion to approve to continue to follow this policy as written no moves pete all those in favor of second diane all those in
favor policy 1500e public use of school facilities exhibit i need a motion to approve to continue to follow this policy as written second diane all those in favor old business new business statements of residence please come up to the microphones one at a time state your name and address and i'll call on you i'll try to go side to side good evening go ahead i need your name and address please oh i gave it to you oh okay okay yes that's good that's great my name is elise um good evening president camposano i'm members of the school board and superintendent farrelly and all the staff first of all thank you for all that you're doing to ensure that students in this district experience a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel safe included
welcomed and accepted that said i'd like to address the issue of masking i'm aware that some people claim that they should decide what it's what is in the best interests of their children and in their own social interactions they can do exactly that if they don't want to wear masks in their homes or in their yards that's up to individual choice but when you're in a school building the interest of all the students collectively override the interests of a few especially in matters of health and safety especially in matters of a deadly virus you have to decide where the risk is do you want to incur the risk of a kid getting sick and and in favor of the inconvenience perhaps of other children to wear masks as i'm sure you saw in the statistics
until on july 7th there were third there was july 7th there were 31 cases of covet on august 16th in suffolk county and august 16th there was 476 over a thousand percent increase and that's the trend right now it's not up to the school district in my opinion to value one child above another and i respectfully submit that one child's inconvenience again is not worth more than potentially another's health not to mention the risk to the rest of the community if those children carry cove at home and impact other family members who may be immunologically compromised or elderly or whatever so i asked that in the absence of specific guidelines from the state or cdc that you implement math squaring as a precautionary measure to safeguard all your students because the alternatives possible illness or
worse or unacceptable thank you thank you hi i'm sherry mcgrath i gave in my card too short last year west babylon did a phenomenal job dealing with covet my children spent more time in their school buildings than anyone i know outside of the district both on long island and out of state and i am so so thankful i'm here to support universal masking for the upcoming school year our students need to get back into the classroom and back into the consistent routine without the threat of intermittent quarantining and virtual school having to go virtual at a moment's notice puts undue hardship on teachers students and parents who have to miss work to supervise their children due to doh guidelines as so well explained by dr farrelly earlier if we want our children in school buildings
and not doing virtual learning this year mass cannot be an individual choice if my child wears a mask to school and a family down the street decides not to mask their child that family's decision directly affects my child's ability to go to school and my ability to go to work and support my family last year we worked as a team and as a community to keep our children in school and as much as we want covet to be over it just isn't we have to deal with it together as a community we did it last year and we can do it again thank you thank you okay uh my name is marianna and i am a covid long hauler in april 2020 i was hospitalized at good samaritan hospital i was positive for covet i
developed pneumonia and sepsis and in my first 10 hours there i watched two people die um the er was overflowing they had travel nurses coming in from all outside of new york state to meet the need i've been hospitalized twice more since then i was in the emergency room uh probably 12 times since then i'm now 42 and i've been diagnosed with heart failure i was in the icu and they had to do emergency surgery to remove six blood clots from my lungs including a two inch blood clot that was lodged in my pulmonary artery i went into organ failure i am now 42 years old i have four children in the west babylon school district and i have heart failure because of covad i would not wish this on any of your children and
i cannot urge you strongly enough to follow the advice of the experts that are um letting us know the best things we can do to avoid risks we're not looking to be punitive we're looking to be cautious so as a parent member of this community i urge you to follow the recommendations of both national and local public health and medical experts in deciding what preventative measures against kovid are enacted at the onset of the school year to that end i would like to read the following letter from the long island chapter of american academy of pediatrics representing 1 500 pediatricians across the region including those residing within our district i want you to know that i and many of my friends and neighbors agree with the position of medical experts and fully support universal masking
in schools both in our community across the nation join the overwhelming medical consensus that universal masking is essential and until the impact of so many children returning uh to the close confines of the school and the covet positivity rate is known okay this opinion is echoed by the national institute of health which funds the preeminent science in the country the center for disease control and prevention and every major medical specialty organization including societies representing pediatric and adult specialists in infectious disease while thankfully children represent less than 0.3 percent of all covet related mortality we still have lost 358 children to this novel virus further the infection places an extremely high burden on children with over 4.2 million cases in children detected nationwide since the pandemic began and a recent acceleration in childhood cases which nationally
are at approximately 94 000 per week in february my five-year-old son tested positive for covid we did not know that he had coveted he showed no symptoms no fever no cough we were notified that hey somebody who's been around your kid was positive for kovid so i took him to get tested he showed no symptoms i would have just gone about business as usual and he would have been spreading this virus to everybody and masks and social distancing would have played a small role in preventing that children are the silent carriers and in order to protect our children and protect our communities i strongly strongly urge you to uh support universal masking thank you thank you good evening my name is jennifer roman and i have a first grader in tucker avenue a sixth grader
in the junior high and a 10th grader in the high school i have not taken the opportunity to reach out to any of you as of this moment to speak to you in regards to my position in regards to the masking but i'd like to be heard tonight in order to do so let's visit the class that a typical student would throughout the day first science if we follow the science like we have been encouraged to do we will see that children have been significantly less affected by coca-19 and experience only mild symptoms in fact in fact children are not carriers or transmitters of the virus this is absolutely no medical reason why children should be wearing masks they serve no purpose other than to ease the minds of the uninformed and fearful to quote
dr fauci masks are really for infected people to prevent them from infecting excuse me i'm sorry i haven't done public speaking speaking before [Applause] could you just speak louder really for the infected people to prevent them from spreading the infection to people who are not affected rather than protecting uninfected people from acquiring the infection the typical mask you buy in the drugstore is not really effective in keeping our viruses which is small enough to pass through those materials it might however keep out gross droplets if someone coughs on you or sneezes on you i do not recommend that you wear a mask now go to the math class and let's discuss statistics only a mere 0.1 percent to 1.9 percent of all children cover 19 cases in the country resulted in hospitalization children were 0
to 0.23 of all cova 19 deaths and nine states reported zero children deaths in new york specifically only one percent of the hospitalized were 20 years under 20 years old i'm not trying to downplay anyone's fears or simply imply that those infections or deaths were insignificant however do not dismiss the collateral damage occurring in the pediatric population the increase in respiratory issues headaches anxiety and depression there is a significant physical spiritual and psychological harm that's being done to our children that can't be detected by a nasal swab with that in mind let's head over to health and wellness class let's talk about feelings our children are being taught that they are to respect others feelings when it comes to everything including what gender they are to identify with but we're excluding their feelings on wearing
masks how is it that we are giving our children the choice to identify as anything that they want including a planet but not allowing them to have the choice to wear a mask or not feelings are not seen and feelings are seen in facial expressions and we are covering those facial expressions with a piece of material it makes it difficult for our children to socialize with each other as well as our faculty words are muffled and smiles are hidden now let's head over to social studies and talk about the bill of rights freedom of choice freedom [Applause] freedom of choice is the right to excuse me obviously we have a three minute limit on each resident so that i can hear everybody can you can you submit that paper to us excuse me [Applause] if
you would submit that i would love to read what you have to say [Applause] i'm sorry we have rules that we go by she has three minutes please don't yell i'm being respectful please please be respectful i am being respectful [Music] i'm sorry you have no idea how i personally feel about anything okay okay but make sure then that you don't speak she's speaking for your three minutes fine go ahead finish thank you that's fine now let's proceed to social studies and talk about the bill of rights freedom of choice is a right so plainly obvious and without question that is inherent to our freedom and liberty without the without the need to special mention it is an inherent part of our lore and principles as a nation as an inherent part of the human
existence without freedom of choice we lose our identity as a nation in a truly free society masking or unmasking would be a choice made by parents not by the government the government doesn't dictate how i raise my children this brings us to english language arts so let's examine the differences and the definitions between law and guidance law is defined as a system of rules which a particular state recognizes as regulating the actions of its members and which it may enforce by imposition of penalties districts across the state of new york are basing their policies not on law but around the guidance that they have received from the new york state department of health guidance by its most rudimentary to its most abstract definition is advice or help it is wholly dependent on willful compliance of
the subjects to which it aims to guide while i and many parents in this room no longer willfully comply my children no longer willfully comply and most west babylon students no longer willfully comply the time to take a stand against the tyranny is now this guidance is no longer about lives saving lives it's about power and control when i was in seventh grade our teacher put on a video and told us to take notes ten minutes in she threw on the lights and she shouted at steven webb telling him he wasn't taking notes and he should have been but the thing was steve was taking notes i saw it we all saw it the teacher asked us if anyone wanted to stand up for steve a few of us choked out some words of defense
but we were immediately squashed quickly we were all silent steve was sent to the principal's office when the teacher came back to the room she said how easy was that we were reading the diary of anne frank i started to understand don't don't ever let anyone tell you what you see with your own eyes isn't happening if we the people do not take back the power to choose what is best for our children and our families in regards to masking we will certainly lose the choice of whether or not to vaccinate our children which is so obviously the main goal of the new york state administration there is no chance on god's green earth that i will give my children that vaccination [Applause] if it becomes mandatory i can guarantee that school enrollment will plummet
as will the district's funding i would like to end tonight with a story about my youngest sabrina a couple of years ago before plastic bags were banned she went grocery shopping with me we came home she helped me unpack the groceries and thought it would be funny to wear the bag on her head neat as a hat needless to say her entire head ended up in the bag and my instinct as any parent's instinct would be was to rip the bag off of her head and scold her about the dangers of putting the bag on her head how she wouldn't be able to breathe and she could suffocate fast forward two years and here i am i'm strapping a mask on her airways and restricting her breathing it breaks my heart when she looks at
me with her big blue eyes and says to me mommy i don't want to wear that mask it gives me headaches it makes it hard to breathe sorry [Applause] let me ask you if this was your child and they looked up at you the person who's supposed to be protecting them the person that's supposed to be doing right by them and their hero and they told you they couldn't breathe what would you do i'm asking i'm pleading with you to join forces with us parents and the other 125 superintendents and school boards on long island to stand up against albany and do what's right by our children offer us the choice to unmask our children thank you for your time hi how you doing uh my name is vincent doherty i got a kindergartner who's
going into first grade this year uh starting september so file the science this seems to be a recurring statement we hear from the people advocating for mask man mask mandates especially in regards to our children going back to school this september the truth yeah please thank you thank you very much the truth of the matter is this is about control not science why do i say that the people saying father science are really saying only follow our signs will we tell you to believe no matter what someone's credentials or experiences they have the media and the same people touting file the science cancel them ban them and label them as spreaders of misinformation if they go against what they say they're real if they go against what they say the real science is well enough
is enough i'm tired of these so-called experts telling me what's best for me and my children these close myths these cloth masks don't work there are plenty of studies and research done proving they don't work they do more damage than good bacterial pneumonia rsv hypoxia these are just three health issues your child will experience if you force them to wear a mask for six to eight hours a day breathing in their own carbon dioxide if you're afraid of the virus as a parent and afraid of your kid catching it and bringing it home to you and others you wear a mask you force your kid to wear a mask you do remote learning or you pull your kids and put them in a private school this is [Applause] this is the constant response we get
from people like you when we have concerns about what goes on in public schools i pay taxes and it should not be silenced or threatened if i choose to speak out against the medical tyranny we have we are facing let the parents choose what what's best for our own situations let masking optional if plainview voted for optional mass so can you be on the right side of history and join us in standing up against the tyranny we are facing today as a society thank you for your time thank you hello i'm michael fabrizio and i attend at the high school here i want to speak to you guys about wearing the mask this year it's been proven that masks do not prevent you from getting covered it only prevents other people from you spreading it
to other people dr fauci and cdc go back and forth on the matter if you can't make up your mind on something or how effective it is odds are it isn't you can't see this for yourself summer school program i have friends that go on there all summer not wearing masks and staff not wearing masks and there has not been one case of cover in summer school and [Applause] common sense senses bacteria and viruses build up best and warm and moist environments i myself have experienced headaches rashes and pit bulls from wearing a mask in school all day with the only break at lunch it makes it difficult to breathe speak and understand others it's hard to understand friends when you don't only know what they truly look like but you can barely hear them
because their mouths are covered the boards brochure states we dedicated the resources of our school system to develop the capacity of our students to take personal responsibilities for their learning and well-being that they may become productive members of society and at this time i would like to see how true that is and give us a choice to wear our master or not since 10 year olds in elementary school have the choice to choose their gender [Applause] good evening everyone um i just want to draw my attention to something that not many people seem to be aware of that you are violating three us codes and i'm here to talk to you about them tonight so the first one is title 21 us code 360 bbb that's b is in boy three times dash three it
has to do with the authorization of emergency use authorization only medical products and devices you were supposed to provide us with informed consent with everyone you're required by law to provide everyone with informed consent we have the right we have the option to also accept or refuse any of this so that's the first code this is everybody that's implementing these unconstitutional and unlawful mandates is violating this code i implore you to look it up because this i mean this is where you're going with this the second code that i want to bring up is title 18 u.s code subsection 241 conspiracy against rights everyone has the right to breathe everyone has the right to autonomy to choose what they are to do with their bodies you do not have that right for us you cannot
do that so for there's a penalty for this violation and it's pretty strong it's up to ten thousand dollars or ten years in prison or both not see not many people are aware we have to bring this to your attention and the last one that you're in violation of is title 18 u.s code subsection 242 deprivation of rights under color of law we talked about our rights color of law means it looks like a law but it's not anything that's unconstitutional is null and void you are violating this code as well it's a penalty of up to one thousand dollars or up to one year in prison or both i just have one question for you guys is this what you want to be remembered for for experimenting on people for experimenting on our biological
property our offspring our kids and with that i yield [Applause] my name is kelly and i'm a physician assistant and i've been practicing medicine for the last 20 years and i just wanted to go over the size of covid versus the size of the mask so the coronavirus size is 0.125 microns the size of a surgical mask is 0.3 microns which means that there are three virus particles that can get through every little mesh of a surgical mask so it's ineffective in preventing the spread of coronavirus also masks decrease the oxygen levels in the body so you're constantly rebreathing carbon dioxide instead of oxygen the signs that the the kids are reporting shortness of breath fatigue inability to concentrate headache sluggishness dizziness anxiety depression confusion delirium those are all signs of hypercapnia hypercapnia is elevated
carbon dioxide levels in the blood and this is what these poor children are experiencing also their growing bodies need oxygen their vital organs are being deprived of oxygen their heart their lungs their brains their kidneys their liver this can impact permanent long-term effects from not being able to get enough oxygen to grow also in low oxygen levels in the body that increases your risk of cancer oxygen suppresses cancer cells and by depriving the oxygen in the body it gives cancer cells a chance to grow and attack the healthy cells so by masking your children you are killing your children also moisture inside the mask is a petri dish for bacteria and fungus the inside of the mass creates a warm moist environment for bacteria to grow there was a study that was done somebody sent
their mask to the lab and they came back with no viruses on the mask because they go right through the mask it doesn't stop it but there were the bacteria that caused pneumonia tuberculosis meningitis encephalitis lyme disease diphtheria legionnaires disease meningitis and also staph pyogenesis which is very morbid so inside the mask these poor children are rebreathing these very deadly viruses for more than six hours a day also the body needs exposure to everyday germs i'm sure everyone in this room grew up drinking out of a hose playing in dirt mud we drink from these hoses that's why our body builds up the immune system coronavirus is a 99.9 survival rate if we are if we are hurting these kids immune system and 20 years down the line there's another pandemic these kids don't have
a leg to stand on and they'll be dropping like flies they will not be a 99.9 survival rate on the next pandemic if we continue masking these children people who don't want to be inconvenienced with blowing their kids noses because they like not having a seasonal cold you're actually hurting your kids and you're not helping them so i implore you to make masks optional for all of the negative health effects that it has on people rather than the benefit for a 99.9 survival rate if anyone's in fear of the kids bringing it home the parents and the adults at home have a chance to get vaccinated anyone who has wanted the vaccine has an opportunity to get it so let's make it masks optional thank you okay so i was going to say other stuff
and my my my uh it's been blown out of the water what i want to say um i did want to ask about cohorting and i wanted to ask about other things but as i stand here and i read our our dais here honesty togetherness truth teamwork respect and kindness when did we stop being kind to each other our children were masked for a whole year my children stayed home because i had family members that could get sick i had three children that would be in elementary school middle school and high school and i did not want to take the chance of getting my family members sick because i took that as an idea that i said you know what it's safer for my family out of respect until we could get vaccinated i kept
my kids home my oldest two can get vaccinated my nine-year-old cannot my mom has to see a lung doctor for the rest of her life because of this i don't want to say the words these are children present because of this virus i respect you for not getting vaccinated if you don't want to i respect you if you want to get it i respect you if you don't want to wear masks but we're looking at the overall consensus i cannot sacrifice my children's health in life just because this bothers you it bothers me too i don't want to wear this thing i wear it i work through copen from day one in manhattan well everybody else was sitting at home i was an essential worker i wore this all day sometimes 16 hours a day
you know what i did i changed how to put a new one on if it was too wet i changed it on put a different one on we made it work we made it work to survive to make sure we took care of our families it worked in our school the reason other kids didn't give it to other kids is because they wore masks i don't want to wear a mask i don't want my kids to wear masks but you have to understand how passionate we are about this that we want to keep our kids healthy i did not raise my kids to maybe subject them to some kind of disease that i could hopefully save them from by wearing a stupid mask it's simplest thing [Music] please no no interacting let everyone speak i
be courteous again out of respect and speak to me not to the audience thank you out of respect i listened to everybody that got up here and again my question for the board of ed was when it comes to courthouse i know we was working and i'm successful if because my daughter who is nine who now has to go to school there will not be an option for her to be virtual she cannot get vaccinated until it comes out so since so since she cannot be vaccinated and we're not doing cohorts how do we track how do we track quiet so rude so listen if we don't if we're not respectful i will end the meeting if you want to speak please let the speaker speak or i'll end this meeting now hello please everyone
calm down so that we can hear everyone's statement thank you continue please thank you so what i was trying to find out from you is since you will not be doing cohorts which you said and you're going to be mixing the children in and since my nine-year-old again i have a right to tell my kid to wear her mask all day if you guys decide to go the other direction how will we track now you were able to track one classroom how are you going to track all these kids if let's say my daughter comes home with it how am i going to know what kid gave it to her if you're mixing everybody together okay my and what i'm gonna say what i'm going to say to you is to please send an email
to either dr farrelly or mr payne and they'll get back to you with an answer we're just taking statements thank you thank you okay thank you very much i need a motion to extend the 30 minute time i'd like to motion that we increase it for 15 more minutes so moved pete seconded all those in favor okay that's everyone we have 15 more minutes good evening west babylon my name is sean farris i'm an alumni of the school district class of 2009 and i have to say that i'm ashamed of what's going on in this district this is definitely not the same district that i attended back in my childhood with regards to masks the board of education has already made up its mind it has done it in behind closed doors it is trusting
the cdc to make parental decisions rather than consulting with the district first you could have waited six days you didn't we all want to know why and i think you know the majority of the room feels the same way give people their choice these children are not the most vulnerable group they should not be having the harshest restrictions placed upon them if you want to wear a mask you wear a mask if you want to get vaccinated you go ahead and you get vaccinated you take whatever procedures and precautions that you deem necessary that keep you safe but my problem is i think this board of education would mandate winter coats in all the classrooms right now despite the fact that we're in the summer if the cdc goes right ahead and says to do
that and i think that's shameful don't just follow the cdc they're not the experts with regards to how to handle these kids the parents are the experts with regards to how to handle these kids [Applause] and now on to something that i think is even more important it's the implementation of the diversity equity and inclusion framework which closely mirrors the debunked critical race theory that we've been hearing about across the nation had anybody on this board and there are members of this board who have family in the police department there are members of this board who used to serve as police officers into that i thank you and i will always back the blue okay but what i say if you had opened up the framework and only got into page two you only had
to go 19 lines down to see that inside the diversity equity and inclusion framework it mentions implementing into the curriculum that they're going to teach the children about and i quote the senseless brutal killing of black and brown people at the hands of law enforcement you will have read in the framework that the goal of this curriculum is not excellence in education it's not be all you can be like it was in the junior high it's a lifetime of civic engagement and social justice activism i don't think that's what these parents are sending their children to go to school to learn how to do okay i think that needs to be looked at and i think you need to strongly reconsider implementing that curriculum into the school district and if you did not know that
that was in the framework and you failed as a board and you did not do your job and read it's only 16 pages and you only had to get to page two to see something like that and i think that's pathetic elaine gross is a founder of the activism group known as e-race racism elaine gross has met with your superintendent on a number of occasions as well as 21 other superintendents on over the course of long island and she has testified in front of the new york state senate and said the following quote there is a long history of government-sponsored violence against blacks where police commit the acts of violence encourage white citizens to engage in violence or take no action against why to commit violence against blacks today the officers committing the crimes as
well as other officers and police departments are frequently held blameless why on earth is the superintendent in education talking to somebody who also says they want to redefine a portion of education to talk about housing and called long island a model of systemic racism i need to know why our superintendent is meeting with this person on a number of occasions and finally ending with our superintendent who makes a hefty price tag of 290 000 a year be better and if you're not interested in being better we will do better you can call over to the smithtown central school district where their assistant superintendent just resigned she'll keep a seat warm for you at your next job because if this continues you're going to be looking for one thank you have a great night [Applause] okay
i'd like to hear the next person please go ahead hi my name is christine picorney and i actually am the parent unlike the last speaker to a child two to three children in this district um there's so much going on in education right now that it's hard to know where to start but our children's health and the health of our teachers and staff need to be the number one priority we saw that wearing maths last school year helped tremendously keep kids teachers healthy at school my three boys didn't get a sniffle all year and didn't miss any school related to being sick but that was last year now the delta variant is a whole different animal the cdc stated that the delta is as contagious as chickenpox and is affecting undocumented younger adults and children
far worse in making them sicker than originally than the original original alpha variant we know two things from this past year that vaccines work and masks work i know you can't mandate vaccines but you can mandate masks less than 50 of 12 to 15 year olds in the us are vaccinated and children under 12 are not eligible for the vaccine net some will say that wearing a mask at school should be a personal choice left up to parents i wholeheartedly disagree with that that while we are still at this point in the pandemic we still need to do everything that we can to protect our kids especially the most vulnerable who cannot be vaccinated yet it's just common sense to mandate mass in school right now the american association of pediatrics and the cdc both
say that kids should be in person 100 in school this year and that all students and staff should wear masks indoors these are the people who we should be taking medical advice from if we don't have mass mandates in school this year we only need to look down south to see what the outcome will be pediatric icu is at 100 capacity in dallas texas last week four teachers died of covet in broward county florida also in florida where there is no mass mandate and school just started it took just two days for officials to send 440 students home to quarantine in palm beach county 8 000 students quarantined statewide in florida as of today kids need to be in the classroom not constantly in and out of quarantine i'm not trying to stoke fear but
this is what's happening and it's a tragedy because it's all completely preventable at this point it is for these reasons that i'm asking you to strongly consider making mass mandatory for the 21 22 school year thank you for listening to my concerns thank you again it is so hot in our schools and i get headaches from wearing the mask today which makes it hard to concentrate and learn the only time i get to take it down was when i would take a water break so a lot of the times i would pretend to drink water so i can take my mask down for a few seconds the mask made me feel afraid and scared i'm missing my teachers faces seeing them smile when they're so proud of us please let us go back to how
we used to be making learning fun because i love school thank you hi my name is nadia i'm going into fifth grade i don't like mars because i feel like i'm dropped just i look at my weird glasses don't cry honey don't cry it honestly feels like a gas mask adults probably work for at most an hour at the store but at school kids have to wear it for six hours or more masks are also uncomfortable times when it's cold and you have a runny nose your mask gets gross even everyday things like sneezing make it gross when you sweat it sticks to your nose and now another reason why i hate muscles because i feel isolated from my friends my friends and i had a sleepover we were giving each other hugs without math
but that monday we had to wear our masks around each other i felt isolated from them to add to having it hard to breathe what about kids who have that issue in the first place you're forcing them who have that issue to make it worse that is unfair kids like me who are in fifth grade or kindergarten have big ears i don't want to spend mine with a mask it has been a year do we really still need masks i don't think we do i can't tell people's facial expressions if a classmate is sad i can't cheer them up since i can't tell they are sad or not i hope you take my opinion into consideration thank you thank you just want to start off by addressing the comment that was made before about the
florida the kids quarantining for the first week of school that was actually between 50 districts and 73 000 district staff members and kids so that was less than one percent just so everybody understands that um i am asking that you please consider making math optional for students and staff this year please give us parents the freedom to choose whether we should mask our child or not my children suffered emotionally last school year and they were filled with fear they were they were forced to cover their faces teaching them that the air they breathe is toxic they were asked to stay six feet away from everyone and felt that if they didn't they would kill them they had a fear that everyone around them was sick and if they got close they were going to get
sick and die that was my daughter that just spoke before so as you can see she was emotional i took my daughter to cbs one day this past june when the mass mandate was lifted and she literally shook outside the door in fear because she didn't have her mask even though i told her it was okay and she didn't need it anymore so besides what this is doing to them emotionally that i just spent all summer trying to correct the damaging health effects of forcing a child to sit in their mass all day filled with sweat spit and dirt is absolutely horrible disgusting and inhumane my kid had to wear their mask from 8 35 in the morning till 4 30 pm when i would pick them up from safe's aftercare program when i picked
them up their faces were bright red and they would rip the mask off their face outside and say i can finally breathe now when i tested positive for covid back in october 2020 my doctor specifically told me not to put a mask on he told me to go for a walk outside several times a day to get fresh air and to take my vitamins that was his diagnosis and i truly believe the reason i stayed out of the hospital i'm so sick of hearing parents say i love the mask because there was no flu in schools this year well there was no stomach bug this year so what is it are we afraid of covid or the inconvenience of having to keep our child home from school for a couple of days and allow their
bodies to fight off a cold or above if that's the case they are basically saying we should be amassed forever do people not realize there was no flu cold stomach bug outbreak not because of the little cloth mask that had a cute little holiday design on it or their favorite sports team or that hundredth day of school saying on it it has not been proven to stop the spread of covid it was because kids weren't moving around they were six feet apart and like a couple of you had mentioned this evening the custodians were spraying and cleaning every night obviously the con the cleaning needs to continue but life and school needs to go back to the way it was they need interaction with classmates they need to see faces and they need to breathe
and build up their immunity this is so unhealthy for them and the long-term effects are so damaging so again i am begging you to please give the parents the freedom to choose what we feel is best for our child and to make mass optional thank you hi my name is mckenna garvey and i'm going into fifth grade last year when i was in school at health class which is on a screen it was the first class we had and the lady was talking about masks and how we should wear them we talked she talked about the three w's wash your hands watch your distance and wearing a mask but as i listened she never talked about exercise healthy foods vitamins or going outside [Applause] so i raised my hand and said what about all the
what about all this stuff and she said oh that too no other kid in my class acts that my parents teach me real health and i never get sick in the cafeteria the food is junk and it's soda deep fried food and salty sugar chocolate milk and it's free so more people are eating it and everyone tells you to wear a mask but all these unhealthy foods and not breathing in fresh air is only going to make each other sick my mom always tells me that the food i put in my body is either going to feed a disease or fight it my point is masking is teaching us how to be obedient not to be healthy thank you thank you [Applause] hello my name is marissa dimartino i'm a student at the junior high
school i'm going into the seventh grade i would like to share with you some of my memories of sixth grade sitting in the room l-6 from 8 a.m to 2 20 p.m with the same 16 students all day having outdoor recess every other day and in some instances not at all requesting mask breaks no lockers no movement from class to class or for specials eating lunch in the same classroom and masking up as soon as i finished eating wearing a mask outdoors for most of the year visiting the nurse due to feeling hot or overheated overall anxiety knowing that i would have to do this every single day summer arrived and that anxiety disappeared i went to stores restaurants concerts family gatherings and friends houses all with the option of being unmasked i do appreciate
that i was able to attend in-person school as i know that many were not able to but to think that it would be a repeat of last year worries me this should be a time of excitement and not dread i hope that you will take into consideration my experiences thank you thank you anybody who's online you're the end of that line and you're the end of that line we're going to extend it to that because the other 15 minutes is up we're going to let whoever's online speak and then that is it thank you thank you for giving us the extra time my name is liz garvey i'm a member of the west babylon community i am a nutritionist i'm a mom of three um and even though it seems like a decision has been
made already regarding the masks i'm here to oppose it 100 000 um so i've read a lot of the emails you know kind of feel like they're empty promises just saying you know that you guys really have our children's best interest in mind but i think that you have forgotten a few things um it's time for this board it's time for west babylon to stand up for our children to stop just passing blame to passing it to other people and take responsibility for letting it be the parents choice to mask or unmask their child so a couple of things like namely evidence science data common sense and basic human decency you provided no facts at all so here are some covid poses almost no risk to children at all 4.2 million children have tested positive
for covid and out of that .008 of them have died what about the flu the cdc estimated that 477 kids died from the flu from flu season of 2018 2019 comparatively 423 children have reportedly died of covid as of 8 11 21 that's actually up to age 18 if you go to age up to age 17 it's 349. however the 423 reported deaths in children is over a 20-month period not a four-month flu season okay the mortality rate is zero among children with no pre-existing medical conditions so did anybody up here vote for a mass when we had a flu season with children that were dying no one voted for a mask then nobody so there's actually something that this is actually called like masking a child making them think that they're sick making them
think of the air is toxic it's actually called a disease you can look up uh munch housing by proxy if you guys don't know what that is that's when a person acts as if an individual he or she is caring for has a physical illness when they are not sick at all okay the adult produces an illness they create fear and extreme paranoia in the individual that's in their care usually children in elementary age that just don't know the difference themselves they can't tell so it's actually considered a form of abuse by the american professional society on the abuse of children if you think i'm exaggerating how would you feel if i sent my child out into the world with a football helmet on every single day because i was afraid a meteor was going
to come out of the sky and kill them our child is just as likely to die of covid as if they were to get hit by a meteor the chances are this goose egg okay you if you saw me doing that you would call me a hypochondriac you would call me paranoid you would call me an abusive parent have you wondered what the health effects are for long-term breathing through sweat spit bacteria soaked rags every single day like some of these people mentioned already from headaches fatigue inability to concentrate severe what they call now uh it's actually called mask mouth but it's very similar to meth mouth if you ask any dentist they'll tell you all about it cystic acne bacterial lung infections higher elevated carbon monox carbon dioxide levels in young children like stacy
mentioned children with developing brains need oxygen lack of oxygen feeds cancer cells what does it do to a child's developing immune system when they wear this all day every day are you satisfied to place this burden on them these little innocent children they don't want to wear this just so much i know everyone says i don't want my kid to wear it but i'm going to put on them anyway no they shouldn't have to wear this it's not keeping them safe they are safe it's not keeping adult it's not to keep adults safe because they can go get vaccinated if they want that's what it's there for you guys do it to make yourself feel better and to protect yourselves politically the child mask is a symbolic security blanket for you not for them it's
a disgrace it is abusive and this decision needs to be up to the parents end of story thank you thank you let me see if i can pull you out of the rabbit hole that you've been pulled in okay i'm sorry of all could you i said let me pull you out of the rabbit hole that they've been pulling you in so the first thing is i want to thank you for holding this my name is lisa i'm an activist i belong to several organizations and i also belong in representing parents for diversity and inclusion and equity i am here to bring light to the darkness that has been brought to all long island school districts and communities there is an undercurrent of anti-government white white supremacy terrorism that has been has been plaguing that
has been plaguing our communities and has been here on long island which has been brought on by a well-funded group called long island loud majority the founder of this terrorist group is a neo-nazi named sean farish kevin smith and heather heath several groups that have been represented here have been monitoring and keeping close watch to the white supremacist organization called long island majority and they have a warehouse in ronkonkoma in the industrial area which is rented by a joseph van der beer with the rent value at over 15 000 a month there is a lot of money being pumped into this school now the merchandise because they have been influenced i can hear her if you're rude there have been people who infiltrated their warehouse when they had a meeting where there is videos of
farish calling in children telling them to spy spy on their teacher i'm sorry i can't try to spy on teachers to record to record teachers if you don't stop yelling the meeting will be over this is about reopening the schools not taking an individual down cheech so what's what's happening what's happening is is that he actually was passing around nazi propaganda which is about reopening the schools not this crap [Music] hello i need a motion to adjourn matt second all those in favor no i'm sorry you know i asked you several times to please stop so i can hear everyone okay all those in favor so moved all those in favor this meeting is adjourned [Music] everybody raise their hands you
