foreign welcome to the board event meeting tonight August 9th you would um please I'd like to First call when you get here at 601 um please note the locations thank you this is Carrie here Mr Jackson Mrs Snyder dendron here miss Paradis here Rose Mrs Giller good evening this is our first time together so very nice to see everyone very happy to be here um we're going to start this evening with and support of Abram Lansing so even saying as uh suspensioned by the school competition education plan for the for a few years and then um during Colgate uh there was no way either about the targeted school school list um this this school year based on 2122 data from the state looked at a more limited setup so Lansing does still have to do

a comprehensive School templates recreational plan as you're going to be hearing from Mr Burke um there are some things that are continued on the plan just some new and exciting ideas I think last year when you saw his leadership team present you saw how much they have invested in the claim and I think over the next few years we have we have I hope sickness this is really nervous did you see her coaching me back there now remember uh I I kind of wanted to start this was an exercise with associate uh had us do when the administration got together our one of our workshops um she gave us all the demographics and then asked us to guess what our school building was and then we checked it with what the real scores were um

so I'm going to write a little bit of the ones that I got close to right and there are only two that I really want to focus on this is the first one I've been expecting our economically disadvantaged population to be going down uh and I was working off of data that I had in my head when we were in the 60 percent and we're back up to eight um and that's just automatically challenged these kids eighty percent of my kids don't go to places that are homes like we have and um school systems starting in the 50s weren't really designed for these guys so the challenge is we have to find a way to make them be successful and a system that's not really designed for them to be successful and a lot of

Educators especially because we're talking about how do we completely change the school system and that's not going to happen but as we work on our plan what we have to do is start to change what we can change in our building to make sure kind of disappointed with our students with disability with like that to be lower classroom this year of students with disabilities so that you know we'll probably stay around the same my African-American student I was pretty close with 14 Hispanics are 16 and Mr Shea has been talking to us and I'm sure to you as well that um advice to start to be a little more cognizant of our Hispanic students because they've kind of been flying under the radar of our awareness and yet their scores are showing up to be

interesting so let's skip to the next one multi-race is 11 aging support four percent uh you know I do want to say Mr Jackson This usually works out the way it's going to work out you know I've already held up in my head and I've already seen that the left side has up to 100. so 58 you're right now uh 58 percent and there's a pause there for me because uh three or four years ago with a former Administration um we're trying to make us aware we need to start thinking about the different races and and I looked and said and I remember very clearly Mr Shea walked over to my people and said booked lately at your school at all and so we started a couple Americans but if we spend all of our

time thinking of white students and not of the other students we're we're shorting half of my kids so that was kind of another to me I mean we've been doing what the state wants us to do you've seen that as we build and you've seen if you looked at our our plan that we're focusing in on Hispanic and black community but this was a real eye-opening to me all right so we're going to touch a little bit about our building plan I I wish my team were here we have two new members this year but we associate was kind enough to remind you that I have a very strong team and three things came out as we were filming this plan we didn't want to just write a plan because we had to frequently we've

done it for years we didn't write a plan because we had you for the state I think in the world last year and this year we've realized we need to build a plan that's going to change our school not for just the short term so I think if you look at the plan you'll see that our our plan is systemic we want to change the culture of the building and by that if you want to brag because the folks and for both seats have been telling us that most of the schools they work with they have to change the culture of the building and that how they get along with the kids like coming to school that's not something they had to worry about with Lansing so we've been able to move a couple years

forward by not having to deal with it and just focus on on our academics but it has to be systemic in that every classroom needs to change every teacher needs to think about what their craft is and how they're changing their craft it has to be sustainable saying yes for years when we get out of the list the changes that we make have to continue and so we have a few extra dollars now we want to use those dollars to make a change that's still going to be in less than 10 years from um and we wanted to be rigorous we're going to talk a lot uh Mr Martinelli's going to show scores are i-Ready scores and I already asked us to make a Year's growth and so even when we built our plan we

built our plan around I ready and making huge growth uh that's important but what our team has asked to do is we start to make targeted groups that goes beyond it's because one of the challenges is we have a fourth grade student that's on a third grade level he makes a Year's growth he goes into fifth grade right so our goal is to start working on how can we make more than eaters growth so we help our kids catch up so that by the time they get to the middle school or if we have to work in a cross-cola high school they're at least at a level where they can be successful so continue from last year most of you are going to prepare last year we're still working on irated data we're going to

be working on the state data as well but we don't have that yet so until we get our student data and we're still dependent on already and we're going to find out pretty soon how closely I read it actually matches Mr martinell and I were talking the other day that our our I ready data is for strong 785 to 76 percent of our kids made the year's growth we want them to do so let's hope that that translates to our stores our stores for the State Building as well um we're continuing to work on our AIS Services you saw that in our what I need time our win time here but we're also starting to work because we've revised the state looking at us it's not just our daily storage us our math scores it

was a sub subgroup of students that didn't show the growth it was like to see in math so we're starting to look at AIS Services if matters coming here we're going to continue to focus on Phonics that shows up you know our writing scores and it also shows there's been a light in our students well there's been a line in our instruction we were strong in foundations for about any stretch kind of let it ride and now we're paying for it so again with our K12 students making sure to have a good strong phonics background we're working on our wind groups which were highly successful this year we started out of the gate slow because we had to find such that they were thrilled with it by the end of the year so I think

we'll be able to start strong initiative uh critical friend streaming is a training that helps our staff work strongly in PLC see that we're working with a slightly a more aggressive model of esophs this year that'll come up on the next slide so we'd like to continue the training so that all of our staff understands how to work with PLC how to bring student work to a PLC and then carefully look at the data without taking offense to what happens so the new things for doing uh we're working on a common word uh we're asking every teacher to have listed in their classroom what the standards are they're teaching that day we're being very careful I have a family room Florida who I understand she told me she had to spend hours every day crafting

these things for the administrators I I don't want an hour what I want is what are you teaching in math today what are you teaching into yellow how is it geared toward the standards and what we're also doing to try to make it easier for them as we're suggesting that everybody put their report card on their desk somewhere because the report card is a standard speech Republic I've worked hard on that Mr Martinelli moved this forward in that we took the state standards and then the essential ad standards that were given to us during codeine and then what are the most tested standards in three four and five and and I wish that those are what's important right so everything a teacher does especially in groups three four and five in in Alam math needs

to be focused on what the state asks us to teach and then what we know the states kind of test us so we would like the teachers to put on a board someplace in their classroom this is the skill we're teaching about this is the still of teaching genealand um Second Step focus when it starts in October that's once a week right on the board what your lesson for second step is going to be working on character tree if you do that every month so that's a monthly thing what are we talking about uh this month for good character so that it shows up a new classroom not just in the morning announcements or what somebody decides to bring it up we're going to try to be consistent on that and then continue your kindergarten

in second grade what is it they're working about in foundations we're also asking the post a daily schedule in their classroom you're going to see this in a minute why and um what their behavioral Agreements are what are their class expectations for PBIS those two things are often in their classroom already but with teachers that we needed to nudge them right um it was difficult sometimes because it was new it was my reason to catch some teachers teaching foundations and I grew and say hey I miss foundations today and when are you doing it tomorrow oh 10 o'clock okay cool I show up at 10 when we had an assembly and they didn't cover so when we're asking teachers to do is put on the wall what they're doing on Tuesdays whether they're teaching the

courses that you're teaching so that we can stop in and it's not a gotcha I think we're working very carefully on that but we want to make sure everybody's focused on what we need to be focused on when we're working through the day we are also um and this is expanded which I think is quite interesting we originally were going to ask somebody for BOCES to come through as a third party not everybody to us and just stop in classrooms and ask kids free questions in the room what are you learning is there a reason why you don't understand how are you going to let your classes the whole reason for that is because sometimes we as adults had a clear where we're going and we want to stop and see if the kids are

open the common word is like a cheat sheet for that so especially in the third fourth or fifth grade if a kid gets nervous all they have to do is go oh oh we're learning about this in Annapolis it says that right up there right but asthma began to develop this our BLT asked if they could also spend some time and go room to room to room and just kind of see what's going on in the building again it's not evaluated you'll also notice that part of my name doesn't show up anywhere we're just trying to make sure that our building is moving forward and we're using this as a method to assess how well the buildings focused on what we want the next thing is we want to make sure that in all of

our data you saw this we're not only talking about moving our building forward and making ears growth or making Advanced growth we're going to continue to look at the suburbs right in this case we're looking at our American students one of the things that happened I mentioned in the plan that our our plan has been revised all the books and envelope Street five percent of our students behavior stroke that's not necessarily what our subgroups do so as a team we're going to continue to look at that as well I mentioned we're working on uh this year a year-long focused on working on Afghanistan uh we are asking the assignment that all of our students it's part of our i-Ready program and it was mentioned by our trainer last year we are given great level appropriate

ways to ask our students to look at their scores their Irish scores especially after the first assessment and choose a goal what is it you want to get to right and at first the teachers were like well that's a little difficult but that's actually part of what we look at when we do Danielson evaluations right because of four is really student involvement in the lesson students are driving their own their own learning so we're asking our teachers for every student to sit with them throughout the year look at wolves see how well they've made their goals and help them improve that way Focus PLC sessions this is all along I'll give you the shortest that I can of this especially in grades three four and five we're asking them to look at test scores for

the past five years so fourth grades will look at all our past fourth grade test scores and start to look at what are the standards that we've fallen down on several times over those five years now if they're not tested off in the winter the show wants everything we then want to look at the way the state asks those questions and ask teachers at a PLC to choose Ela to choose a reading selection that they're going to do over the next month and decide amongst the three teachers or if we include our special plan how are we going to craft questions for that specific passage based on what the state has asked us to do so we're starting to work on how does the state ask us those questions because we don't do that often

in our classrooms and then the following month they will compare using protocols that we've used from critical friends uh looking at student data how can we craft better questions or how can we improve the rigor so they all got the questions right was the passage not strict enough so maybe we need to choose use the same questions but choose a stronger passage a more challenging message to use and assess how well our kids are doing so we are yes using our classroom instruction geared towards what the state is asking us they should know is that teaching to the test that needs to irritate me like 10 years ago but I've been able to use the way the state wants us to think about making our kids Successful by using the assessment this the state asks

us to use um we are really focusing on on parent and Improvement this actually has to do with our culture um since covet the parents have gotten in habit of not coming to school and now being involved so um we are working with I've been asked to work with two outside agencies actually two churches and have strong communities that also include kids that come to April waxing and families that come see and have conversations there because sometimes people don't want to come to school right we're going to have conversations there um the team has also Brian Nolan offers a hot breakfast every Wednesday to different grade programs we start with kindergarten first thing so during those hot breakfasts we're going to invite your parents to have their own breakfast with their kids and then ask

them to stay for five or ten minutes and talk about how do we improve the relationships between the parents and things so we think that's going to find a way to get our parents to support what we're doing and also conversely make sure they understand in place as well biggest challenge anything you read in education anything you've seen us talk about the last couple years especially composed to covid hopefully that'll end now however I think post covet I think covid has caused an irreparable change in the way our community and some of our students do education and because of that we've seen a huge challenge in Behavior with students that don't understand why they should be there don't want to be there and the parents that don't know what to do and with all them

and say we're not being successful um we found it excessively frustrating last year with the lack of skills that many of us had with dealing with behavior problems we hadn't seen before uh once again I have to tell you we had two of our students that ended up in outside placement dispatching her a lot of our time but we probably had 15 to 20 students that um our adults needed support for in working with them so common practice was send them out of them that's not successful one because they send it to me and I don't know what they're sent to it before first of all too if I'm not there and the child sits there for 10 or 15 minutes until I show up plus I have to work what can we do to

find a way to keep our students in the room as long as possible and still provide for their needs so an associate let us go on a tour of three of the local school districts that have an entire support team we will not ask and cannot support their entire support teams we're in Green Island I have six people uh we're in Schenectady at about five or six people lose an entire job was to work with kids that weren't being successful because in all the cases they work pretty simply phone call to the office it's didn't leave phone call to the office office the radio or the contract the group somebody from the room went to the classroom right I'm in the classroom then where we've been working on in our building the first question is

to the teacher you know it's been releasing leading the classroom and take two adults and one of the most powerful things that they saw in Schenectady was a tech team and another term forever where the adult that wanted in the classroom watched the rest of the class continue the education accepted into the bus by the classroom teachers at you know what's strong about that is when whoever the support team member leaves it's still the best cheeseburger suit right and what happens is when somebody else takes care of that machine the teacher doesn't know what's going uh one of the things that I happen to love that's been acting it was a big sign upstairs when you didn't leave your classroom were in charge so when a classroom teacher gets frustrated as a child who's been

a successful gets too long by gone that's that's what we're doing for that trial if you don't like that don't send it out but we need to provide as much support as we can to the situation when the situations so the talking position about finding a support team that work with us so the other challenges my school Technologies my school social worker for the first person first folks that I've been calling they have a totally full of things that they need to do and there are times when they obtaining but I can't I'm doing all my own crisis I work with students that I'm I'm required to be working so we are happy to help us work for a year to work on improving the adult support for improving student Behavior they need to be

trained we found out yesterday when was the last time we ended Ministry of council was that guest reading since it's so long and it was a week long although it only started maybe it ended 2 30. but uh but my friends behind us Rachel has been trained in [Music] um tcis and the first three quarters of tcis training is um how do they escalate situations right one of the things that my staff has asked for consistently is time for Progressive development how do we do that well we need to start training our staff on how do you deal with situations that happen in your classroom while you're teaching initial responses you hear this all the time I have 21 other kids I can't take time for heart but you have to take that further so

how do we do that so we're working on a plan um my team's going to get back together in a week or two with Rachel and talk about what professional development do the classroom teachers need and then how do we provide that with I'm asking for two additional staff members that sole job would be to get to know students that are hot spots I can tell you four of them will be a challenge by the end of September right so these folks will have the time to start to make that connection with them and then they are on call for whatever situation comes up that's disrupting a classroom and the deal is to do everything we can to keep the student I am embarrassed to say that we again suspended 14 students last year 14

times right by 14 suspensions that's more than I had well the year before I still had a number but that's more than I had for like 25 years that I've ever been and those suspensions were because they ran out of things to do our quiver was empty and we just had to say I I need time take them home bring it back let's play right so we began to realize last year what our needs are we need a year and understand that we're not asking you to help us fix the situation and here remember my first slide we're asking you to help us provide professional development so that we can handle our own situation 10 years from now as we work with the new students so clip right at this point in time if I

could just mention something about the funding so um because David Lansing is a target School through a school Improvement Grant um they using 75 000 so um as long as this model is written into the plan which is why we're further Redevelopment commitment to like with Rachel and the team then it is something that can be funded for the school improvement book um in past years um the critical friends training and the Wilson training has been funded through the school Improvement Grant this is our last year of American Rescue plan funding there is funding in the American Rescue plan for professional development for curriculum writing so that's that's one of the areas we've been talking about assistant who is a certified certified teacher as one of the staff members and we've been talking potentially about

our teachers they need to support um the key piece of course in whatever position you get it's getting the right person um and and then some intensive training for that person so that's the model we believe in this let's discussing and we can we can continue with discussion at the table and I just want to mention and then cliff and his team were really going out there researching talking to um to other buildings and then really look at this is what we really like in this building this is really permission from this and really starting to put it together in a unique format that they it's a really deep dive I'm really appreciative of the fact that you're being so cognizant of your changing population and looking at things through that lens if that's a

big deal the other work that you're doing they're not using conversations it's hard to reflect the way that you're reflecting and the progress I think from last year is impressive all right foreign I mean I feel like yet again here we are with another wonderful presentation from you guys and you know doing all this work last year's new thing kind of makes me feel like these are things that should be happening you know throughout because you are not the only building that has experienced some diverse needs certainly your property is increasing and you have some challenges for sure um I have a couple questions just like clarifying questions your AIS model is your win model is that it is for ELA okay you have a different model for math and was that the piloted model

from last year where you were doing it no it's completely different we have a completely different okay so short um we encourage classroom teachers to do 15 to 20 minutes of I read in um class for teachers during that time so at the end of last year I asked each grade level to choose so that the entire grade level is doing their i-Ready reading impact at this time that's a pretty good at blocking we're encouraging classroom teachers to use that time to work with student goals they have 40 minutes to do that three or four kids during that time suit goals um I've asked our special lights down to carve out because I have a special way person in every grade level so my fourth grade special ed teacher during that 40 minute time we

use the iready data and once we get our scores from the state which is the state's course in grades 3.5 and during that 40 minute Bach they can meet that you have expectations just by doing it twice a week so they can have one group on Monday Wednesday at a different one Tuesday Thursday say that because the kids still have to be on their eye ready and because they're going to ask them to bump it by five minutes the 20 and 20 over four days or three days we'll cover what I already says admission [Music] so we're not we're not detracting from that so again Focus we haven't yet decided where we want to use the math AIS person that we used last year she started out as a teacher and switched to it things

and that I think we may still keep that model with some students that we think are struggling just so we're putting a Sean focus on that but not diluting the work that we've done so there will be a small group or individual instruction not just I ready for it as a supplement to whatever wherever they are at your internet um so I appreciate your um look into your guests and your actual as far as like your different your Diversified building um I would be curious you know to see Steph if there's if there's any diversity in staff if you've had an opportunity to to think about that I know that's a challenge we all have it um you know every building um one more talk about having these conversations and and you know kids seeing

someone that looks a lot like them um it goes a long way and I know it's a challenge for us and so yeah like three pair of professional staff that are known we have uh we actually have interviewed a set member today or part-time position as a professional that it's not quite I was almost only put on arrows and it was in a workshop today on mtss and they had offsigned it through associations it showed over multiple years 80 of our teachers are white all across the state yeah and it hasn't changed in five or eight years that we looked at and consistently they said that's a it was I'd like to think they were trying to make me feel good but then even though I was watching but I think we're all frustrated with

we don't have uh those of color that are applied right and I'll tell you with the new process that we use for um for hiring staff I had 26 people apply for what you're beforehand but I meant them all and they were always yeah yeah I think it's a Statewide problem I don't think it's you know you're isolated to us right if that's the change though then I think we used to talk about the river communities Associated when she was the assistantship compounds you know why William Detroit I think that as a community in their region we need this seriously Schenectady as a person whose entire job is to find teachers so there's a diversity equity and inclusion committee at Capital Region BOCES I know Rachel was on the committee and [Music] I think realistically

they need to take a step back and look at what are we doing in high school to encourage kids to go to college for this because otherwise they're not there to recruit it's a tough cycle to break because you know people of color don't see teaching as an option for them because they don't see teachers of color and it's just sort of continues to go around the state developed and grow their own so that they work really hard um and and I would say for instance I mean years ago I used to have a couple kids from high school that thought they wanted to go into teaching and they'd get an excuse from a couple classes and coming you know that's the kind of thing to do is if we find students that are Juniors

and seniors and thinking about going to college for education but to people down here but see what it is let's convince them that it's worth it I think the hard part too is you know having a conversation with an educator of color is you know why am I going to be the only like why am I going to be the only one um you know that's a real hurdle too is is to actually be the first or you know be someone willingness go to go out and you know uh try something different and I mean we don't get there until we start really so uh you know I can I can appreciate that too anything else I have to know one last question uh so you had talked a little bit about parent engagement and

that's certainly something that we've been hearing over and over again I think that you're absolutely right that we need to invite you know folks in and one of the conversations that we had um a month or so ago was just an anecdotal story of a parents saying to me I've never been invited to my kids Elementary School like not as a chaperone or to come to see anything and you know she's her daughter's in third grade and so I think that it is important that we are giving invitations not necessarily you know an open pay if you want to show up but we want you to be here type of situation so I appreciate that I like the breakfast idea I think that's great um I'm curious to know you've got this idea with putting

things on the board so kids can track and teachers can track where they're and what they're doing how are you going to communicate that with parents so parents know what standards their kids are working on what traits they're working on so that maybe they can take that home with them and be able to have informed conversations with their kids to talk about the things that they've learned today and or to support some of the areas that we might be trying to you know have our kids uh you know learn in school so actually one of the conversations we had under the top of Flips For the last week is a quick picture on your phone has ended up because the ELA and math changed hopefully so just a quick snap eight to see what we

learned it's very good and those of you who have had kids in my school know that at least once or twice a year I usually do a call or something what kinds of questions can you ask if it's after school because one of the things that drives me crazy as administrator is hey Bobby what did you do today no thanks so part of it is also crafting with parents suggestions as to how to ask questions like that so if we are able to share the board then parents could actually say what's going on do you like today or how that story goes it's also a way of getting experience engaged but I know this if she's getting nervous business seeming as much longer as it's supposed to be um I don't really care how many

books show up at PTO meetings but I hear about that parents show up experience I know PTO members want more folks involved but there's a lot more to that than just showing up once a month uh one last question which is now but thank you so very much um as far as like the new report card style is that something that parents can expect like that they have received communication on what those things mean I know the Common Core report cards can be very lengthy and you know a little complicated for people to understand and if we're starting something new like an expectation to say here's where you can find resources to describe what this means or how this translates to real everyday school I think the board idea helps support that um but if

lancey's is the only one doing it and we have you know two other Elementary buildings um are we doing the same thing or similar something so that I'm friends with the other two administrators well I mean but we're deploying a new report card that it's got to be standardized against all three schools we can [Music] teachers made some great choices and he wasn't less rigor it was like we asked the same question for um fiction as we do for non-fiction so we're asking you know how does what's the main idea how well does your student understand so we just say however they understand the main idea and then if Harvey is having trouble with non-fiction work the teacher can write that on there or he's doing great with all the stories that we read probably

not getting those science stories that we read so we're going to work on that so we've continued the rigor and made it a little more manageable for I'm a part of the staff as well I mean teachers were looking at a four-page report card continue the year teachers so parents can see it before they say what other students it's a good way to know if we explain this is what I'm supposed to learn this year so if you want to work tonight when you're in the grocery store last year we did send copies of the report card for every single grade level K through five home electronically so parents could view it well before the school year started additionally we sent home a short plain language explanation of standard space report cards and how all

area schools in across the country are moving in that direction while we're gonna have to go home everything yeah absolutely and we're going to do the same this year and again we made some modifications which is part of the plan um that we would review them we made some some small changes um and so those were agreed upon by all the teachers in the room actually they made all the changes and we'll send those out again and I think they they look pretty good standards based report cards are a whole different world but it really tells us what kids can do and Cantu and um you know threes and fours for like 15 bullets items and all of a sudden you've got a three-page report card for you know yeah it's hard the other nice

thing I also think on there and and the beauty I think of it was not the sending the report card home I'm sure you know parents looked at it maybe you know they read the explanation but I I think what was most valuable was that first report card conference and it probably took a little bit longer for the teachers no doubt about that but I think on the on a one-on-one basis they were able to sit down and explain that we're looking for a progression so your child might get a one here but by the end of the year I don't expect it's going to be at a one on this and this and this um in addition to that uh teachers can write comments including all the specialist teachers which was never done before

uh the LL teacher speech stickers so you know it has some enhanced communication and it also has the attendance again which was never on our elements or report cards before so you know it was a whole you know Soup To Nuts sort of enhancement of or communication with parents and standardizes the language and the link between all three buildings grown in the same direction on that and next year at the end of next year we're gonna we're gonna review the report cards again and I can almost promise you that there are going to be changes and there's going to be changes the year after that it's just it's just a living document and we're going to get better and better at it and thank you Mr what else yeah I do I just have one

one I'm sorry you had mentioned when you were talking about um your curriculum and the teaching to the test I'm a little concerned with what we're losing if we're teaching to the test and I understand the idea behind it and I know that we want our data to go up but I also think that there's a lot of things that our our students learn that isn't on the tests that help build them through the years so how are we going to make sure that we still get everything that they need to know okay two quick answers well two answers um one was I didn't communicate that well enough because I spent years saying I didn't want to teach to the test where the shifting my mind was making sure we teach what the state wants

us to teach and part of that has been Mr mardeliano all the years that we've done let's just talk academics because I think I know where you're going um therefore a lot of teachers teach academically it doesn't focus on what we are required to teach real good example I don't think anybody does this anymore but for years teachers wouldn't give up teaching dinosaurs because that's so much fun but if you do a four-week unit on dinosaurs then it doesn't show up anywhere on our standards or what we're expected to do that's time that we could be used to focus on then if we focus that correctly then we get more time to do the other stuff I mean I also started out by saying your state has recognized uh a very supportive culture in Lansing

and that goes far beyond the academics but our word also included a PBIS expectations our second step expectations how to be a good person um is what we're working on I don't think any of us have said we want to give up that stuff and as an administrator that would be the last thing that I will do because we need to grow up and be good humans we can be really smart enough see that on social media all the time so I I will defend that as a building we have always maintained well-rounded students we just have to be more efficient in what we focus on in our academics so that we can continue on the other side this is a story I tell my stamps all the time when they're like well we don't

want to give up so and so on you know okay fine if you listen if we keep on this path and the state takes over none of us are going to like well I won't be so but none of us are going right so what we have to do is decide what is it Steve is telling us that's important and make sure we're doing that efficiently so that we have time to do with all the others you I've already got six Assembly Center for initiate that the top Groups International hip-hop dance first that's that all changed because that provides the length of the spark is okay I also wonder um high schoolers to graduate and know what a dinosaur is though too maybe they don't need four weeks maybe just one matching the Next Generation

learning standards with the grade levels with the units that are in my example used to be talked about a write down how to make the peanut butter jelly sandwiches so if it's supposed to really be taught in group two let's teach the inbreed two and then we have time to enhancing think that was just an example but another way so it's really about a more targeted oops sorry I got one last thing and I don't know whether it's going to work better with what you're talking about or what you're talking about as a parent one of my only frustrations with iready is I'm not getting the papers home for my kids so that I can tell what they're on working on from the papers and I don't have access to anything in their eye ready

so I can't tell what they're working on at iready so I'll be honest it was a struggle for me last year trying to keep up with where they are make sure their prep for what's next and keep pushing them but they're important I mean they take assessments after every Benchmark that you could just right well no but I'm saying like what I'm talking like weeks a week I want to know what my kids are working on so I can push them and give them extra stuff that's a question that I can reach out to the already folks we have the trainer coming in I think I'm surprised there's no sort of Parent Portal or something that you can so perhaps after your i-Ready presentation then you can go in a little more in depth well

thank you thank you I don't know let's try it again thank you Mr reference so before we transition to um Mr Martinelli I just want to give you a quick little break um so we're doing very well at the elementary level I have finalists reviews um tomorrow and Tuesday for the grade one teacher at Abram Lansing our remaining 0.6 speech and our special education teacher for Abram Lansing at the middle school um we are in need of a science teacher a long-term replacement of course sick Spanish teacher a new reading teacher although you'll see a number of appointments on on tonight and then at the high school we are still in need of a science teacher two met teachers a social worker and a special education uh teacher so um we we have strong recruitment

efforts throughout the year um when we have gone back out in terms of legalizing Union again in terms of you know things that that will be viewed a little more were um going to be working to see if the city and also help us in getting the getting the word out um and we're going to be inviting people and again um we're also exploring radio because a lot of schools are now turned into um radio so we're going to be local colleges Christina Mahoney has reached out to all of our local colleges there's also ways to send group uh emails to everyone on Olas in certain areas so I did want to let you know that that's where we where we stand um just so you know even though it seems like oh my goodness

um compared to some other places to work work we're still okay nearly where we'd like to but it's uh it's a tough week okay Mr Martinelli so you you'll find that uh at the table lots of data it looks uh quite like many other reports that uh I've said to the board I have each school's individual data but I only have four songs to get through 28 individual data slides although the data is there for you to uh if you have any questions I'd like to look at some data we'd appreciate it uh I would tell you both as a teacher and as a principal and now an assistant superintendent I really love iready um it's not just putting kids on a computer we really just want staff to do it if I use it

with the kids for about 40 minutes per week and I would say most of the kids really really like it um as as I've been around to all the buildings most of the teachers embrace them most of the kids embrace it but most importantly I really feel strongly that it's given us a pathway to look at data frequency that we've never had before it will tell us on a daily basis what kids know and what they don't know and I'm going to take you through just a little bit of the data and then maybe I'm going to give you a little window into what the teachers so this is uh this is our spring data kids take I ready three times a year follow into respect um and it's a little harder to see I

think but but this is this is the fall and where you see the the red checks because they're three or more three or more years below in their grade level and and this particular Data Center and we started the year at The Benchmark 21 of the kids with three or more years below and where they should be so that's third grader is reading at a kindergarten level kindergartners don't even read they're doing letter naming fluency an initial sound fluency that's a struggle and that struggle is real and that's what our data tells us there's no hiding the data is what it is it's what we do next and it's what we do with that data and so what we've fast forward to the end to the end of the event 21 of the kids in

the entire District one to fourteen percent the 18 that were two more more years below and grade level one to ten one grade level below 28 versus 42. you see what I'm doing here the kids are moving in this direction this is good growth not perfect growth I don't know what perfect growth is and I can promise you that anyway but but what this is telling me is the kids are are moving in this direction so when we have kids who are on grade level at grade level a little bit above grade level that was eight percent the jump to 28. you can make this up and I promise you these teachers without saying behind the kids giving them the answers so the other nice thing is it's responsive so it's not just about the

three assessments which are very important but the kids also use it during the week and it remembers what kids learn it remembers what they got wrong and gives them more of that and it's I I truly believe that um who's us looking and being react proactive with this data that is what allow the teachers to move the kids in this direction and still do the same thing for math okay so our math of 20 of the kids and and by the way we had a great reversal in this District I Can't Tell You Why I can tell you we have it I cannot tell you why uh we use our New York state test scores which I don't personally put up a great amount of stock in but those New York state test scores we

were always higher in math than we were in ela which is a little bit of an anomaly it's not the same as in other districts a lot of other districts the reading scores are the language scores are higher um but for years and years and years at elementary and middle school the math scores were higher and there's some reasons for that we've got some rock star teachers here the pandemic stop map instruction for lots of kids when when parents tell me oh my kid didn't find in the pandemic I don't always believe them I think they just did better than other kids because uh kids did not get that Hands-On math instruction while they were home for a couple years that's what I believe you know you might be somewhere else with that so anyway

the 20 went to 12 the 22 percent of kids who were two years below went to nine the kids that were a year below 30 uh 45 went to 34 and again three percent of kids around level that jumped to 23. good the 23 is is almost unlevel so that's 46 that's a tremendous amount of growth so why teachers working super hard adopting a new math curriculum which usually you see a dip by the way when you adopt a new curriculum and it's very difficult but we have all the books we have all the electronics we had some really great PD in the last uh two years even though this is our first full year of implementation I believe it's it's yielded some very good results so what does hybriding really do I took a

quick screenshot of a third grade classroom at Harmony Health and I did that because Mrs Perry's not here but say whatever I want um I would say this is a nice class I wouldn't I wouldn't say that that this class is not the highest achieving third grade class in the district or the lowest I just I just picked a third grade and uh I grabbed uh I grabbed a a particular lesson set that a third grade would work on and I ran a quick remote and it's going to look fancy here about half the class right here you obviously can't see the names the green check marks are telling us these kids have a command of these three requisites because you're now teaching multiplication two-digit multiplication and some division which is hard Pro division multiplication

for third graders it's it's hard it's hard to stop these kids have almost half the class as a struggle so they don't have all the prerequisites so as a teacher now the teachers are pretty in tune with what kids know and don't know but they don't always have the exact resources that they need next these kids are okay we can accelerate them and we can do stations and give them something more to do to take them into hopefully that fourth grade concept eventually while they're in third grade but these guys here they need something more and so what's that something more that teacher can click right here and get some recommendations and one of the recommendations is it says straight through lesson 31 uh for the classroom that teaching toolbox resources the reason I'm showing

you that is the teachers have access to every grade level all the resources and what it's saying is these guys don't didn't get it try this next and here are all the resources and here are videos that you can watch in your entire class it's not just a kid on a computer this is part of the direct explicit instruction that teachers have in the classroom so we could do some stations and get those guys going the teacher can go and I'm ready and turn off all kinds of other questions and just have these guys concentrate on this maybe for a week maybe two weeks probably not going to take longer than that now these four kids have extreme struggles these four kids are the kids that are three years below and they're in that class

with the rest of the kids and so this is again we could have some recommendations and the actual resources to use with the kids we can put them on and give them in some additional practice in the ira system but also one of the most important steps both for these guys but for these guys is if we're giving them tier three interventions if these kids are getting special small group help you know by by another person in the building uh that's one of the people that Mr bird described then we could they can have access to this data too and they could say you know I'm going to grab these guys and I'm going to work on these prerequisites for the next two weeks in that or read it this is this is what we're

going to do we're going to work on this vocabulary and I can run this list for that third grade class that I'm showing you I could run it for the entire build I mean you you could you could take a group of eight third graders who are having a similar struggle and be efficient put them with a teacher to get AIS services for a half hour every other day for a week and then hopefully those kids move here so so that's that's some of the power of i-Ready it's not just testing kids or letting them play some games on the computer which is part and the kids love by the way uh and and it's an important tool just like Hands-On materials are important so the next slide come on found them my last slide

I isolated third grade for the whole District I did that because I chose a Harmony Health third grade classroom and now I disaggregated the data for special Edkins and and we have lots of groups we have African-American kids that are disaggregated group they we measure them against all the kids to see if they're making in an equity sort of fashion the same growth as other kids we do that for boys and girls we do that for our Ells we get judged and measure on that the reason that I did this is and uh and again third grade special education is this health these are the kids who are good he's a kid that's special the special ed students are making progress the Gen ed students are making more progress we know this but when we

dig a little deeper into the data if I look at well how many special edit students in third grade were were three or more years below it says 48 I'm going to call it 50 are you telling me that half the kids in third grade logged into third grade um not having a a a command of what they need to yeah that's what I'm telling them and so forty percent of those special ed kids had an extreme struggle when we when we took this the spring 24 percent that's good growth you can't do that without good special education because that's that speaks to that speaks to us taking our kids looking at the data and giving them the intervention and supports that they need what we're supposed to do in special education of course is

we're supposed to kind of even things up a little bit we even these things up because the kids get a consultant teacher and they get some extra time and they get some extra resources they get extra so we have to apply that extra correctly if we're applying the extra directly the kids are making growth not perfect growth again I don't know what that is but 48 to 24 when we go to uh kids who are on level five percent of the third graders were on level in special education that jumps to 14 I was 15 do I want those numbers to be higher we we all do but this is good growth and this is part of the power of this system we can isolate the data for any particular group and even drill into

those skill sets maybe the special education students in third grade for math are being pulled out at a particular time and they're missing some of math instruction or maybe all of these kids are missing a particular skill in math and so we can drill into that data and that's what we can teach for the next week we will teach them these skills and that's the power of the system that's the that's the power of i-Ready that just prepares teachers it gets them to where they need to be what they need to know to do that's why and uh you know again our numbers while not perfect it's showing some really good growth I I I'm super pleased with the growth and I hope it continues and I hope it translates into better New York state

test scores but we'll see just know that this this test coming up this remember that done before so we have nothing to compare it to but I still I like anecdote I want to compare this anecdotally to the New York state test scores that's Iran because last year in the first year we implemented it with Fidelity last year the flag thanks for using the f word um so uh yes last year is is the first day that we started using i-Ready testing uh with Fidelity the year before Mr Perry and I did a a little bit of a test run up and so yes this this I would say it's our second year having data sets and and again um next year where we have three solid years of data I can't I can't wait

for that either and you know as Mr Burt described you know when he described that you know we're looking standards of the power standards or the heat maps that somebody was talking about of uh what kids and standards are being missed in all districts in the 24 component districts we can look at a heat map and it'll say shed all these kids got this right you know all of me all these kids got this exact standard wrong and maybe we're you know somewhere somewhere in the middle this will help us with that too and and against reiterate I mean there were times when we used to look at the heat Maps and and we'll still do some of these things because in sixth grade weren't getting sequence signals getting middle into the end of the

story well that's pretty easy but they're missing the questions they ask two questions per year um on sequencing so we took some articles we sliced them up put them in an envelope and make the kids re-season and then guess what the next year those kids they did that probably didn't miss this question you know what I mean so so this allows us to get Surgical and we can't get better without being surgical with our data so we just have one more question yeah the QR at or above you can resources available to push them forward but can does there can we look at their data Beyond grade level that year if that makes sense can we see how far Advanced they are and make sure that they're still moving yes where once is there an

end to the number so um there's there's not there's not really there's not there's not an end um I I guess if you had a kid who's an utter genius they would they could potentially test on a program but the um the kids the kids again it remembers you it remembers what you got right what you got robbed and for these kids it took some and again I ready is a Tulum toolbox other tools in the toolbox are an engineering two-week program at the middle school during the summer where kids get to build and make bridges so I too am a fan of testing because we have to know where kids are you can abstract multiplier dividing kids but we can't over test kids we still have to let them get their hands dirty because

they'll learn just as much or more by doing this and incorporating some of it lateral thinking I learned something today and I get to use it a little later on and have some fun and see the application of that map and Symmetry and adult best estimated low capacity I bet you all wanted me to say that but um 500 pounds he's gonna hold the dinosaur I'm just yeah grades are crushed so Mr Martinelli there was a terror report question early so um obviously a different parent report but but we've gotten really I think we've got really good at sending all these electronic reports within about a week or so after the tests were done versus years ago map testing to stay three months um but there is a sort of a parent portal which give

access to resources the the butt is I don't know if it's going to tell you every single detail every single question of being a little dramatic on purpose that your child got right or wrong but I think it offering you a deeper level and some resources so you know it's not going to be granular it might be a question in the back so I have a question if your student is home you will know they need to work so we'll send the calls home those goal is going to be more like levels numbers versus like individual skill sets well specific skills Parker so yeah and this is Terry the new gift slightly click and see what the students need there's also the author of organic elements for the students that are in advance we can

turn all kinds of stuff on that they can do at a moment we haven't done that exactly yet because we want to get used to this system we don't want to put the card before the horse but there are a few features and and again it's not going to cost us any more money and little by little that we're gonna we're gonna we're not some teachers may not want kids you know you'll get you'll get some kids will go home and they'll work on it all night and they'll be they'll be done with the whole thing very teachers specific last year which which is which is can be a unit and again for for the for that job so again there's some options and we're going to keep meeting and talking about it see what

we can do next we'll say that one child I had that was allowed to use it at home crushed her growth scores in comparison to her siblings I would tell you that I could look at the minutes spent by kids using I remember at 40 minutes a week not eating in its a week that's that could almost even be too much it's a tool you can overdo it uh and I can tell I can tell I can predict the classes that are going to have the greatest program the the system it's not perfect but the system works and it works for most kids and it's it's it's pretty engaging well it's just it's nice that it gives like a standardized way of doing things teaches them one way to do it and the teacher or

the parent has the option of this is an alternate way you can do the exact same thing to get to the same place sure and not you know going to back to the report card I mind this because it can help the teachers you know isolate some of the standards you know and and to see where kids are so they can they can judge that one two you know three or four for the for the report cards but also teachers are coming to us now and saying you know really like I ready I wasn't sure if I was going to do it or not but you know we need to switch we need to switch these two units and guess what we're going to do we're going to switch those two units units the teachers

know best in a in a lot of ways and gone are the days where you go from page one to 100 in any curriculum it it doesn't matter as as long as we find the sequence that works for our kids and and co-hosts so again next year after that we're gonna all the results are some of the sequence and so that's a good idea I just want to clarify one thing when you were talking about you know that special education tag you had said maybe the kids are who are uh receiving services or being pulled out during math I mean we're not pulling kids out there not typically so right okay but um they might need a little more pre-teaching right but this I I guess my point is that this technology is great and

it's wonderful that it doesn't replace a teacher students and we're using as a tool just like you said but it should be in supplement to the instruction that they're getting in the classroom absolutely it's it's uh it's Synergy but not synergy got it well said good thank you thank you Mr Martinelli uh this is Mackie I'll be brief um we have audit field work scheduled for next week so we've been preparing for that um it's the annual Financial audit um so field work is uh in-house on site for the week and then uh there's some follow-up and then the audit committee meets in the fall the report is due October 15th and the board will accept the report we'll have a response Etc so the field work is next week uh tax collection prep is

also underway and that process starts on 9-1 I do have the preliminary tax rate we're just waiting on the final final file which we anticipate any day um so our estimate for the tax rate was 38.29 and it looks like the actual will be 38.03 so that's great news it's less than what we had estimated so that's always where we want to end up um next time we meet I'll have the the final number but hopefully that won't change um I did pass out business office roles I'm not going to go through it um there's some extra copies too for the audience if you'd like a copy um we've had two retired retirements out of four individuals so basically everybody's responsibilities shifted almost everybody's doing something new except the payroll clerk so this is just

a tool for you to familiarize yourself with I did include an org chart for the particularly for the newer board members because not everybody realizes that food services and Facilities reports through the business office so sometimes that's new news to folks the processes certainly haven't changed we're still handling compliance as far as policy law audits grants Etc the financial aspects and the accounting aspects so none of the processes have changed it's just who's on first what's on okay third base thank you um we did introduce a a different position the purchasing agent which is exciting and enable us to provide a little bit more customer service to the schools as far as obtaining quotes and a little bit more interaction with somebody dedicated to that role instead of somebody doing it in addition so that's

a that's exciting um we are also offering big picture training for our secretarial staff in early September um we like to have themes we've been thinking about the themes we try to make it fun but it'll introduce the new folks to the the business secretaries and also review what's new how we how we can focus on the customer service aspect while still making sure that we're following all of our policies and in compliance um so I think that'll be very helpful and it'll be nice for the new folks to familiarize themselves and put faces with names I think it's important we could mention that Mrs Ramsey and uh very well I'm also part of the Advanced Training to secretary so it's really a great piece yeah it'll be three sessions yeah we already talked about

the theme we're excited about it I have no idea okay um what if I don't like it you'll like it you'll like it and so that's my jam that's my jam yeah yes I like it that's it for me does anybody have any questions so you have just some massive chips in your bedroom thank you for surviving it but uh also we took an opportunity to revise reading and make us more efficient and effective and fair to this book that work with me so thanks for that thank you thank you for supporting we added a new level of review uh with a deputy claims audit position so I did develop a new checklist that'll help the purchasing agent dot eyes and cross T's in the first year there's just so much um what was the

person [Music] uh the purchaser Andrew that was me that was me um so that'll be very helpful um in in year one in in having a successive a successful transition the individual who you guys were acting on tonight they will be part of the audit committee so they'll Report with the claims Auditor in unison on the process and how it's working um so the report out in the fall so thank you so just a couple more brief things so as you can see some upcoming events we do have a facilities committee meeting we did have a meeting on the 7th but we're vendors presented information on Turf and uh Jeff you know Jim Stapleton we were there along with our friend Joe mettle so he is continuing working with with us on the facilities committee

so that's good news um summer school regions and then uh post middle school will be having open doors and high school having freshman orientation and they know the high school has already shared that information their information will be coming soon so we're looking forward to those those opportunities as students building so a few things about uh for tonight a little bit I just wanted to um we did we did not get uh responses in terms of the code of conduct we'll just go through and clean up all the language make sure that um if we said it one place we set it through uh all of it with the help of uh this is Rumsey and uh advanced search so thank you and when I printed for you was just changes that turmeric recommended by

our attorneys one in terms of student cell phone use we talked about this so this is the language um we asked that we use and then um there and you'll you'll be hearing about this in the future but there are new uh policies that we need to uh you know referencing for adoption in the future in terms of um timeouts and in other areas so because uh we know those are coming it was suggested by our attorneys that we incorporate this language and in the code so that way when we adopt um you know uh excuse me and and change so um next on the list we're working for plain language summaries both for primary and intermediate and then secondary students so uh that's a work in process there will be um available prior to

the start of school also posted on on the web as as we discussed so I hope that that's their code of conduct before I go on any questions does this meet the 30-day comment period with the additions that were made too yes because of the 30-day Time Repair includes you know after we had the public hearing it also includes adding anything into there and on this do we need to post about there are no changes or we haven't had to post before I mean we'll definitely add it and I can say that this is what is that and we now post the new um quota Plaza the changes were made um right after we had that meeting the suggestions were made but the public comment period is to get suggestions and then so so we'll

find in terms of employment period but we can highlight changes okay so the 30 days of like the public comment um period includes also like our attorneys us reviewing it and stuff like that and then whatever changes can be made in in that aspect we had sent it to our attorneys in advance when you had the initials yeah so um and then the other thing I know in a a few minutes um we'll find out if it was on the Committees and sort of anxiously eluding committee and uh it was more popular yeah so um so after that well uh we'll be doing is reaching out to board members on the committee to uh set some dates in terms of work for um get some recommendable should they work and um and after that we

will be I did not forget there was a discussion at the last board meeting about um you know making sure that when you open this up and not just uh tap someone on the shoulder and say hey you want to join us but um really uh in the issues I want to join the various committee here so that's in process and I'm going to be able to have some dates set when I when I also come back so just just so you know can you just share with us when you develop whatever that I'm going to share with you before what's up for any importance can I just ask a question about the dates for like the kahoes Middle School open doors in the freshman orientation were those are those dates like set already like

at the end of last school year like so that parents knew these were the dates that were going to be coming up with uh vacations and stuff like that because I'll have to tell you as a mom I always did that August 22nd or whatever that last week of August always took my kids on vacation what we've typically done at the middle school I know we'll do at the high school too you know we kind of have to pick dates we pick two days it gives people some options but um a whole bunch of parents will go on vacation or you know there were other family matters to contend with so what we would have them do is they would make an appointment with us usually I would do it because I was here during

the summer and let them come in and I would give them their own mini tour but I'm also meaning that like consistency through the years like if it's always going to be like that week at the end when the fifth graders are graduating you want to say hey guys Middle School you know and and make the parents aware and and if it's a consistent thing that it's always like I don't know even know what days those are on Wednesdays Thursdays Tuesday Wednesday or whatever I think that that's something that needs to be you know just like we can talk about that with our secondary with our secondary principles I know it's always as late as possible but not too late to make sure our buildings are ready no absolutely and absolutely I know that I'm

just saying that if you know in advance when the kids are graduating that it's going to be it's easier to make especially because it's not surprised you know but this is going to be something that the middle school middle school is going to have and that freshman orientation is going to be you know noon to 2 p.m it's just a suggestion I'm not saying that you're going to make every single parent happy that is never going to happen in the world I'm just saying that if this is something that can be preset every year you're going to have it this week we're going to have it two days during this week we just you know suggest maybe not taking your kids on vacation that week or something like that that's all I'm saying it's not

a criticism or anything like that I'm just saying like keep things consistent and you know like sports always begins on a certain day in August you know we all know that that's it for me Mr Martinelli has to give information about Universal creative just um so our upk our upk-3 uh which has 54 available spots is full uh and there's 10 families on the waiting list which is not uncommon uh for us our upk4 really has um four open slabs and in the past we've always had five sections of upk4 and we wrote an expansion Grant which we were able to get with competitive expansion Grant for a six class in that six class is for is an integrated class we can have six students with disabilities that helps us get some funding um from

the from the the state to have extra Tas and extra special education teacher in there we don't have to pay for any of that it's kind of nice we're having trouble filling more than trouble we cannot fill the sixth class so I called the state and and I called uh Madison Rams who is our our new person in charge of our grants and I tried to get her to let us open a new upk3 because we have 10 on a waiting list or maybe we can do a combined up came three and four um you know which I think could be really interesting if we're selective and put the kids together they won't allow us to do that I I both spoke to her and I put it in writing mini argument in that you

know if the intent of the grant is to service you know our our upk three and four kids why not just let us drop and drop it back but they they won't let us so my next play is going to be you know we're going to um I think we we have to now not um we have to put kids in upk4 on a waiting list after those those spots are open and continue with our upk3 lighting waiting list I don't want to make a promise we can't keep I'm glad you know we were very careful not to do that that we didn't accept um more kids than than we could handle because we don't want to tell people yes and then tell them no um but I'm I'm hoping once the funding from the

first grant runs out that we could use some of the funding from the second Grant and maybe enhance our program a little bit so that that's the next thing I'm working at but I think the takeaway here is our upk3 is is nice and full 10 uh families on a waiting list although most a lot of families do end up getting in parents move you know things like that so I I like to think that some of those little guys are going to get in in a timely fashion and then again we do have some upk4 openings for those families that are moving in and I expect those will probably be full in the near future smartly are we still able to um accept the students with um the special students into the upk program

has written in the grant so there's still further classroom we're we're going to do the intent of that Grant and and make sure that we and again that was part of the conversation I want to I want to remove the other Grant upk4 and make sure that we could still have this special education students and they said yes to that and and again I think that that's uh really important for us absolutely do those upk um three and four do they participate in physical education PE with rpe teachers okay okay they they work within our specials and we encourage them all right it makes them part of a whole school and environment great I'd like to have an offline conversation about that I might have some resources are you sure okay thank you very much

I'd like to also mention that we accepted the donation of the play on Sports for athletics and one from Sterling and Francine Clark art institute for transportation so that's a play for those um any comments from the board on anything else that's on the agenda can um we get an update on Synergy up in with Sweden sorry the the new sure yeah it's a lot of the synergy I've kind of an unique opportunity to go to a conference because we're able to make that all work with everyone's schedule um but I think um if if you could look and see if there's any PV opportunities for us as a board we heard consistently the benefits of PB and we know that we weren't able to provide that for several years he almost feels like we're

feeling the pain because of that but I think if there's opportunities for us to grow too as a group that would be great thank you questions from anyone can I just oh I just wanted to mention we just approved all of our volunteers for our coaching Sports and you know they do this for no money and so you know just thank you to our volunteers yes everyone else been anything from out in the world so we um did a policy review the first reading tonight was for our commitments and beliefs talked a little bit about lessons too no changes complete one thing yeah we added Equity we believe in additions of practitioners and dates for future meetings are on the 30th and September 13th we'll be meeting here at 6 pm um and I get
