for haldane and had exuded a real sense of service to our community and when we talk about the value of service among here at haldane Educators like Jenny and Frank certainly set the foundation for that here and those are the folks whose shoulders we now stand upon in carrying that forward in our work so again my condolences to them I'll have some other comments Sean later on moving on to communication from the public the holiday and Board of Education desires and values input from the entire School Community this first public comment session is reserved for comments on any special presentations or active agenda items for those who wish to address the board please sign in state your name for the record please keep your remarks to three minutes or less disparaging marks and discussion of

the agenda for the 20th I think we're talking about we want to come to terms on parameters and budgeting parameters that's an exporter business which we'll discuss at that point any questions any discussion no all right all those in favor aye aye and you posed no all right moving on to the superintendent's evaluation there's no action here as I said we met an executive session right before the meeting to discuss this thank you Peggy for uh once again coming during this process and leading the conversations it was very fruitful and I think I don't know if anybody wants to bring anything up here or not just to note that we did it no great oh and just that the second part we'll be meeting with Dr benante in executive session right that this is a

mid and informal mid-year evaluation and a check-in a conversation and we'll be meeting uh at uh before our next meeting right on December 20th and we have decided that we're going to do it before outside of personal circumstances yes I think great so 6 PM then all right then uh moving on to the approval of the agreement between the holiday and Central school district and the village of Cold Spring this is with reference to the the shared use of the playing field recommendation of the superintendent of schools the Board of Education hereby approves the revised inter-municipal agreement between the haldane Central school district and the village of Cold Spring for Mayors Park playing field shared use and authorizes the superintendent to sign the agreement on behalf of the district great motion please so moved again

please okay so you acted on the initial agreements at our last meeting as mayor Foley Was preparing the agreements for Village trustee action last week The Village's attorney recommended changes that were not included in the initial agreement that you acted upon these changes included a mutual indemnification clause which is item four in both agreements so you're going to act on one now and the second follows and a severability clause which is item 13 in both I believe in both agreements I may have that numbering off these additions were reviewed by Me by Mr Lambert our school district attorney and were in agreement with both of them so we're coming back to it now for your action again given that the agreements were revised and we'll go from here great does anybody have any questions or

yeah yeah so we're still in communication with the vendor and pay getting started now once uh finalizing a start date once the Agreements are finalized great all right all those in favor aye aye aye any opposed no all right moving up luckily the weather has continued to cooperate yeah but won't for too much longer Ezra said it ladies and gentlemen it's snowing on Monday moving on to the approval of the agreement between holiday and Central school district and the village of Cold Spring for the Improvement of mayor's Park playing field Miss Shields on the recommended ending of the superintendent of schools the Board of Education hereby approves the revised inter-municipal agreement between the haldane Central school district and the village of Cold Spring for improvement of the mayor's Park playing field and authorizes the superintendent

to sign the agreement on behalf of the district right we have a motion please so much I think Phil already covered this so all those in favor any opposed no great moving on to new business CSC cpsc recommendations Miss Shields be it resolved that upon the recommendation of the superintendent of schools the Board of Education hereby approves the recommendation of the committee on preschool special education and committee on special education as presented below motion please just so moved second any discussion all those in favor aye on the opposed no all right moving on to the policy review first readings now there's no action on the first readings here not really discussion um here we're looking at track changes it looks like 3430 which is diversity Equity inclusion in the district that's a policy that we've

been hungry to put our eyes on in one way another and thank you so much for uh for doing that I really appreciate it taking the initiative on that and I look forward to having a discussion about it as well as 8320 on textbooks Library materials and other instructional materials I know there's anything to discuss so you'll see the the track changes I think that is that all we have is a track changes version because they're basically oh there is a clean version but basically both policies are all track changes because they're completely Rewritten this diversity equity and inclusion policy is a policy that actually the committee drafted it's actually quite different than the policy we've received from Erie BOCES and we felt like we wanted to write a policy that we were most comfortable

with and um and so there's definitely you know again first reading and an opportunity to discuss it um and then the second policy is one that's you know completely brand new but brand new and and Erie BOCES wrote it yeah okay I mean the second one being uh the 8320 the textbook Library the materials and other instructional materials so that one's that one's stock you it's the policy as it came to us from Mary BOCES that's exactly right we had some conversations about it um uh but yes this is the the we we have the policy that they present we're we the committee is recommending adapting the policy that they provided us with yeah yeah all right then moving on then to policy review first readings and adoptions uh Ms Shields yeah attendant of schools

the Board of Education hereby waves the second readings and adopts the following haldane Central School District policies as attached 12 12 10 14 10 32 30 and 3412. emotion please second is there any discussion all those in favor aye any opposed no all right I believe that is the end of new business moving on to communication from the public number two this is all district matters I won't read in the paragraph it doesn't appear that we have any takers moving on to uh board Reflections I don't know if anyone has anything they'd like to share um it's your birthday happy birthday I know thank you I had some uh second graders are superior to us I'm sure impromptu as well so yeah you did a great job yeah I should note though it's also uh

the opportunity to go back and I found and read his obituary and I have to say I was really moved I mean I was really deeply grateful for a person that had devoted so much of their life uh to the school district um and you know me somebody who's you know been in the community for 20 years likes to think I'm relatively well you know aware of what's going on but it just um it yeah I mean that was really it I mean I was really very moved and deeply appreciative and reminded of the fact that they're you know where other folks who've been you know who've probably played some similar roles but has seemed really quite important and I appreciated that Sean you already mentioned this but uh I'll segue to it uh first
