001I'm Jaden Campbell. I'm a student at North Side High School and I'm a student registered apprentice at G&H Contracting. I wanted to do something, go out and do something that I can work and make money. That's a good thing. And um, you know, get get experience out here for my future. And this was a great place to do it because owning houses and stuff, you need to learn to do things, construction, and this is a great place to learn it. My parents were really proud of me when I wanted to when I told them that I wanted to start with the appren apprentichip program. I was talking to Miss Painter about it. And um I wasn't telling my parents at first what I what I was planning on doing, but then I told them that

002like there's this apprenticeship program and uh you can make money, you're still in school, and it gives you high school credits. And um you know it was it was a great opportunity to start and I get to learn a lot. So my parents was really proud of me about that and uh wanting to you know strive and do good for myself. >> As an apprentice I do a lot of wood blocking and the interior and exterior. Uh mainly for interior it's for when they put shelves and cabinets and cubbies in and exterior it's got to make sure the roof is slanted enough so that way water will run off and whatnot. I wanted to be a student registered apprentice so I could learn more about the field. That way in my future it'll help me

003out. I decided it was for me because I mean I've always wanted to go into this kind of area and I've known G&H about them for a while now. So it was pretty obvious for me. If I need to get some time to do my schoolwork I can. But they really they work well with my schedule. So no matter what, they normally will help me out. I've already learned some of the field. So that way when I graduate, I'll already have at least a year experience. >> It gives me a lot of experience to come out here and and learn things every day. We do something new every single day. And it it gives me a realworld knowledge, you know, it's real world stuff. And you get to, you know, meet new people and learn

004new things every day. And it's it's a good thing to start at a young age. Love to stay with G&H is, you know, I I really enjoy it here. It's a great place to work. Um I love the people that I work with and uh Troy, he's a great guy, so I like Troy. Um but, you know, I don't have any any plans on leaving anytime soon. I love it here. It's a great place.
