teachers community members but they participated as as judges so in the science fair we had 123 projects and we had 79 unique Innovation projects so we're very excited about that the names that you see up here on our slide is the names of students who presented the Expo and met the scoring criteria to advance to the University of Cincinnati region science and engineering Expo so they will be moving on based on their potential score from UC each May then qualify for State science day in Columbus in May so this is very exciting stuff for our kids I do want to say thank you Bob Buck especially Shane Hartley Barb singer and Jenna wall for all of their work behind the scenes to make this work but honestly really truly we couldn't have done this without
the support of the foundation who sponsored this entire event and it was a phenomenal weekend for our kids so thank you so much to all and to our teachers who helped in supporting our students along the way as well [Applause] thank you and congratulations item 5.0 the reports to the Board of Education First up we have the Forest Hills Teachers Association Mr Chris Preston thank you for having me this evening Red's pitchers and catchers began spring training yesterday so I suppose that Hope Springs Eternal for us here in Cincinnati I was recently walking through the science department at Turpin High School and I was reminded of an important memory that has stuck with me I can still remember in seventh grade science when Mr Byram engaged us with an egg drop experiment and it got
me thinking that school at least to some extent could be cool our teachers and staff are creating memories like these each day with our students moments that are making an impact in ways that are sometimes difficult to measure and it's not just teachers that have these impacts it may be a bus driver who gets a smile each morning that a student is is anticipating to help them start their day perhaps it's a custodian who gives a high five to a student that puts a smile on their face maybe it's a counselor who goes the extra mile to check in with the student and family or a paraprofessional that is present each day to be someone students can lean on each staff member in our district whether inside or outside of our classrooms plays an important
role in creating a student experience that is unique to Forest Hills to that end I'd like to acknowledge Doug Baker and Heidi rootenschwarr both presidents of their Public School employee groups known as OPC 177 and 273. Doug and Heidi work to support our clerical staff custodians bus drivers Food Service staff maintenance staff health aides and paraprofessionals the work that Doug and Heidi do is not always easy or glamorous but it is vital work that helps our staff and District move forward with the goal of providing the best experiences for our students to me this is an example in life for the sum of the parts is greater than the whole teachers could not do what they do without the service without the services provided by our educational support personnel in closing the Forest Hills Teachers
Association is anticipating continued collaboration with the Forest Hill School District and the Forest Hills Board of Education this spring so that our staff can continue to support our students thanks again for your time this evening [Applause] thank you item 5.2 Forest Hills foundation for education Stacy Gilliard [Music] good evening thanks for having us this afternoon and hello welcome spring I'm I'm just continuing to think it's going to continue to be 70 for the next you know several days before it turns 20 again but I have a whole team of people here this evening that are going to just share a few words with you on behalf of the Forest Hills Foundation we are super excited to officially announce the Forest Hills 5K which will be May 13th in as well as our Focus this year
is how we're going to step into Wellness one of the things I love about this event one of our Signature Events is the fact that this truly is about bringing our community together and so I have some folks that are going to introduce themselves as well as a local business that is a recent sponsor of the event thank you Stacy I'm sorry thanks okay I'm Megan wolf and I am volunteering with the foundation to help collect and create Partnerships and sponsorships for the race in May um and we're also here to say if anybody has any connections to any local businesses that want to get involved please reach out to us we'd love to have as many um especially local businesses that are involved in the community so we can all come together for the
kids I have a special guest we're highlighting Apex electrical services John and Alyssa huffnell are here to speak on why they want to be a part of the event this year this is their first time and so here they are come on so [Applause] so yes thank you for having us uh we moved to the community 12 years ago and we came here uh specifically for the school district so yes thank uh thank you and then since then we've had uh four boys um and we're at our second Anderson Township residence and we just really feel passionate about giving back to the community that feeds us and our business and um because we know I trust in my wife she's a good Steward of the money we earn and she and Trust in the uh
the foundation and then the entrust in us as a community so we're just thankful for the opportunity to give back a little and uh thanks for having us this evening yeah so we love to see when new businesses become partners and sponsors with the foundation and really invest back into the kids and back into the Forest Hill School District so thank you for being here we'll give a quick shout out if anyone else is interested we are still accepting sponsors and Partnerships in addition we are going to continue from last year we are going to have race ambassadors so what is a race Ambassador so if the student of parents an alumni a staff member a business leader really it's open to the whole Community to allow us for you to tap into your network
and talk about the different things that are leading up to the race and so we have several already signed up we have several staff as well as students so we'd love to see the community getting more engaged in this and we look forward to a very successful event last year we had over 2 600 participants and over 3 000 people attended the after party and so our hope this year is that we will do even more and raise an additional or raise more money as we support the kids particularly around student wellness so thank you for having us thanks for everything you do [Applause] item 6.0 superintendent update thank you president hosfeld members of the board get a little presentation here I want to share with you about the upcoming Levy so whenever we are
up and running spring it's supposed to think spring when you see that it does look springy mm-hmm let's go back one slide oh I guess it is okay um first of all just a brief reminder as we get going in here um what the levy amount is what it's for and what it's used to be funded it is a combination issue of a total of 6.9 Mills of which 5.4 mils are operating issue or operating Levy with 1.5 mils of permanent Improvement Levy I do want to make sure people understand that the 1.5 mil component to this is used exclusively for um equipment maintenance for anything that lasts over five years so roofs asphalt all that fun stuff but stuff that we have to take care of and I think that anything short of not
having a some type of Pi within this is is not responsible I think we have to take care of the nine buildings and the two District buildings that are part that make up part of this district and is a significant investment for our community the goals of course address those significant needs and I do want to remind everybody we'll we'll also make this link available um it's actually on our web page priority maintenance plan and lists By Priority the most urgent needs in the district there's a little piece at the top that you'll see that is in in yellow on the website those have to be done those were funding right now we have to take them out of general fund because they're just that critical portion of Anderson's roof is one of those pieces
that we approved here in the past but then we'll start moving down that list and we're going to and as long as that priority doesn't change obviously in a an event a weather event that damages property that would change things but you can see the importance of what that money will be spent on uh on an annual basis we'll go down as far as we can on that list and keep moving through it um I also want to be clear that this Levy even with the 5.4 mil piece to it does not add staff or does not add additional programming it's actually smaller than what we really would like um or need to keep things running exactly as they are we're not doing that we're gonna have to make 750 000 in reductions this year
which means at the end of the school you're not prior to that um to get as lean as we possibly can uh and the other reason is to keep the millage down to a doable level if you remember when we first started talking about this um you know you're talking about double digits if you're trying to keep everything status quo we just don't have those that wherewithal right at this point in time uh so the Levee is a little smaller than it could have been but and we'll talk about that so if you want to go to the first slide then um repeating the phase one is for 750 000 okay and this this is an obligation that we have to be responsible to our taxpayers and be good stewards we have to reduce and
the goal of this obviously is to reduce the cost with as small a impact on student learning as possible phase two is going to be tied to Levy passage or failure because if it if it fails we're going to have to reduce another 1.6 million dollars which would be implemented at the end of the school year but prior to the start of the next school year we have to do that because tax years and school years don't coincide and so um we're obligated to put those into effect prior to the next school year it will impact the classroom let's not let's not beat around the bush it will okay we'll try to do it as minimally as possible we'll always try to do that but it will impact instruction it's going to impact Transportation it's
going to impact extracurriculars um and so I will mention that y 1.6 because that kind of puts us in a position go to the next slide puts us in a position where um the next fiscal year we actually hit the board direct instead of 10 of expenditures so there's a reason we're trying to hit that number and not go beyond it um so phase one seven hundred fifty thousand dollars the first uh reduction and their no particular order except um central office positions uh totaling approximately three hundred thousand dollars will eliminate one central office administrator and two secondary design specialists this um and and what's the impact of that um it's gonna impact us because these people are important in terms of supporting teachers in the classroom they actually go in and help support them
if they see something they help with their instruction um and give them advice give them help where where needed if they're struggling with scores they also look and try to analyze why and try to provide that support um so there will be an impact but as I said I don't know if any of these don't have an impact second is our secondary certified staff we're looking at 243 000 in reductions this will eliminate um three full-time teaching positions this will then be done predominantly through um retirement resignations okay um will ultimately determine that based on who those resignations are and what what those teaching positions are as well um but understand it it will impact classroom size um dramatically probably not but it will impact it okay um so I just want to make sure
you understand that um Elementary certified staff in the amount of 162 000 this will eliminate um two support roles again um these are typically more experienced teachers that have been in these roles of supporting students that um need extra help unfortunately we're not able to stay at this this level of Staffing so it'll impact you know support services and roles that hopefully um will preserve as much as we can class sizes in the elementary um building budgets we're asking each building budget to reduce 2.5 percent overall it's not a huge amount however you know as I've said before when you're talking about 85 percent of our budget being personnel you know and of that remaining 15 you really only get a can probably play with about five percent because the rest of it's you know
purchase services or its utilities or it's fixed costs um so everybody will feel that that pinch a little bit uh summer school we provide a fairly robust summer school we'll be reducing that by 20 000 and what that really means is is we're going to have to set a standard here that the class has to pay for itself unless you're talking about a class that's required by law you know an extended school year type of thing that's not what we're talking we're talking about summer school just any summer school so um we're going to have to hit we can't do small classes we're going to have to have larger classes to be able to offer it so if it can't be a zero zero line item we can't run it it has to be self-sustaining
also our preschool tuition will increase for our typical students by 308 dollars this will bring in another almost ten thousand dollars uh both of these two are not well this one's particularly is not a revenue increase or it is a revenue increase it's not a reduction cost so it's still there it's available I understand that it may be a challenge for some but it does put us in line with those schools around us we were considerably lower so we have kind of moved back in line with those other schools near us um so in recapping you can see that's how we came up with our 750 000 300 000 in the central office secondary elementary 243 162. um building budget summer school and preschool tuition increase again this phase is about tightening our belts being
really fiscally as tight as we can be and still provide a quality education um all with trying to limit the amount of impact in the classroom that we could um other things I want to just before I move into the second phase I want to yep move the next one um you know each year we will evaluate our expenditures and make sure that we're spending appropriately but I do want you to know that that's not not happen that's happened in the past and so uh to a total of 2.7 million in total reduction since 2018. 1.5 million prior to the 2019 operating Levy and 1.2 million since the passage of the 2019 Levy so I always say that just to make sure that everybody understands we always evaluate our spending and we'll continue to do
so so moving on to phase two um this is based on passage or failure of the May 2nd Levy the reductions will have to be implemented um those are based on current levels of deficit spending it's how we came up with it we had to look at where we were spending more than we were taking in and what we have to do to zero that out or neutralize that we don't have the ability to operate in a deficit so we can't get there so this is if it doesn't pass we have to do it so um again this is if the levy does not pass uh and I wanted to share this information with you and the community just to be transport comparing about what it is I'm looking at what we're we as the
staff have been looking at and we've had some pretty good arguments I think there's you know you're talking about people you're talking about programs it's hard you know nobody likes this um I appreciate the professionalism of of my staff that's uh really rolled their sleeves up I've pulled them into meetings and made them risk redo their schedules to to so we could sit down and go over this and over it and over it um so here's here's what we're looking at in phase two of a reduction of 1.6 million dollars you're talking about teaching positions that total 882 thousand dollars uh what is that it's a reduction of as many as eight uh 17 certified staff positions or full-time equivalencies um some of which will be moved into roles some of these will be moved
into roles that are created through vacancies okay but those ftes will come off the Bucks okay but there may not be a face with that but there is an impact the impact is you can't teach as many sections as you had before so you've got the same number of students you're going to increase class sizes is going to reduce course offerings because we're going to have to get very picky in terms of what we call a go or no go whether a course can be ran it's going to have to have a minimum number of students within it um it's going to reduce intervention and student Support Services and it's going to reduce enrichment supports and I say that because one of the reasons that Forest Hills performed so well is because you've got these
supports in place districts that have supports in place for kids that are struggling for kids that are accelerated they achieve at another level the next level you know and so while it's not required by law you know we're in this predicament of okay we've got to balance this budget so that's where those teaching positions will impact the most okay and some of those people those support Personnel will move into classroom roles again many of them buy retirements and resignations but it decreases the total number of teachers that do sections pay to participate this is not a cost reduction per se it's just that it covers part of the deficit that we do and and extracurriculars to tune a 344 thousand uh it's going to increase Athletics pay to participate and in band costs would move
to 300 at Anderson and Turpin and 250 at Nagle Middle School um with the same conditions that are currently in place the third if you go out for the Third child goes to a third sport or whatever it's we don't charge for that one mentioned band would also go to 300. theater has not had one before so didn't feel like it was appropriate to to push put them quite into the same category right out of the gate so that one will be a 175 dollar participation fee um which is similar to what the current band and Athletics are currently doing um so that's the pay to participate uh of of those like the theater 50 bucks would go directly into the program to help the program and the other remaining 125 dollars would be used
for supplementals for salaries that that pay for those related costs similarly in the others as well transportation and to the tune of about 400 a little over 400 000 this will allow us to reduce the number of routes that we currently run um or bus operators that it takes to also run those routes and the corresponding maintenance and fuel costs now you also know that we're having a heck of a time trying to hire drivers so um even though it's budgeted because that's what we're currently want to staff at so with failure we'll have have to reduce this down what that does is it makes our buses go another tier uh it's going to impact starting times um probably the most would be 30 minutes but probably some schools may be 15. one of the
disruptions is going to be half of the elementaries will go at one time half at another time again this allows those buses to to go out drop kids off come back pick up other kids and go back out again another round or the problem is that we have to fully understand is the impact to our shared staff when you do this doesn't mean you can't it just means you've got to make sure that we are completely understand who's sharing roles at a building you know if you're moving from one building to another you know we got to make sure times sync up um Music Arts band got to make sure those are functioning correctly especially if it's a secondary teacher going into the Elementary's you got to kind of work that out so um obviously
we'll have to do all that work in the event that this fails but that's a four hundred thousand dollar uh reduction that we would have to to implement um so the reduction scenarios next page again um phase one seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars at the end of the school year as again this is just a repeat of the slide earlier um to stay as tight as we can and to keep the operating issue as low as we can and still function and really still bring um the high quality education that we're used to having here phase two not as pretty y'all be honest it's just not as pretty um there's no way around it it just you cut you're cutting in you're cutting into the classroom but that's really that all that's left and
so um certainly like I said not a fun time and hopefully um we can move forward and do do what's right for kids and and give them the tools that they need for their futures thanks thank you Mr hook there's so much that goes into that I appreciate you and Atlanta and your staff working on this over the past months so thank you very much moving on to 7.0 public commentary I'd like to remind everybody of proper meeting function these board meetings are open to the public and attendees should remember that it is important they maintain proper decorum and respect for everybody in the room this public meeting does not prevent governing bodies from maintaining order at meetings we have the inherent Authority by law and responsibility to maintain order and to impose reasonable restrictions
and actions for the efficient and orderly conduct of a meeting the board and the district strive to conduct themselves in ways that demonstrate mutual respect fair play and orderly decorum in particular the district expects attendees to treat others with respect and courtesy even when expressing concerns criticisms about any issue or incident since children are under our care have access to meetings and meeting broadcasts recordings the public is advised that the content of these meetings should be appropriate for all ages these are not unreasonable expectations the board is committed to conducting its meetings in a productive and efficient manner to assure that meetings are completed in a reasonable amount of time but also recognizes the importance of fair and adequate opportunity for public input we provide a period for public participation at every board meeting will
be a total of 30 minutes each speaker will have a three-minute time limit if there are more than 10 speakers individuals time will be reduced and adjusted down to fit within the 30 minutes the board does not discriminate based on individual content of the speech or Viewpoint of the speaker if several people wish to speak on the same topic the time limit may be adjusted at the president's discretion speakers will speak from the podium down here on the main floor address the board and speakers are asked to start by clearly stating their name and address we have 11 speakers this evening three minutes a piece first up is Michelle Easton hello can you hear me okay yes yep a little bit closer thank you thank you Michelle hello board members I know you all know
me but I am Michelle Easton my address is 7739 uh Glenn Eden um I am fortunate enough to be one of the five members of The Levee steering committee citizens for Forest Hills schools and I am serving as the treasurer and I would like to speak on the importance of the levy and uh Larry thank you for all the comments that you just shared and I really want to focus on phase one um so citizens for Forest Hill schools is a ballot pack of volunteers working to educate the community and drive the successful passage of of the Forest Hills levy on the May 2nd ballot we have many community members who have stepped up to help us and we would like to thank all of you we'd also like to invite anyone interested in helping
or display in a yard sign to visit the volunteer Link at citizensforest hills.com we appreciate the Board of Education voting 5-0 to put the much needed levy on the ballot May 2nd and we appreciate all the ongoing support you will provide for this Levy this Levy will secure the funds needed to continue to deliver the excellent Quality quality of Education our community has come to expect within our current School configuration as Treasurer I want to make sure everyone is aware the levy campaign is fully funded by donations no taxpayer dollars can be used to get out the vote we are relying on our community's generous donations for signs mailers and other materials to help secure enough votes to successfully pass this Levy we're just over 50 of our goal I'm asking the members of our
community to donate to the campaign to help us share the facts and educate our community on why passing this Levy is so critical all of us here tonight have one thing in common we care about our kids in this community we know that emotions are running high right now throughout the community we're not here to minimize any feelings but we are earnestly asking all of you to please come together vote Yes on May 2nd for our teachers our students and our community thank you Jeff Nye hi Jeff Nye 1000 eversole over the past year I've been pretty critical of this board for its lack of community engagement so I want to start by praising Bob Bibb and Leslie Rasmussen who were at the citizens for Forest Hills meeting a few weeks ago um plenty of
Staff members over to the right and a whole lot of people behind me Michelle and her group they're doing a great job I hope the rest of the board is able to attend in the future uh when I talk to people about the levy they say why do you support the levy when you've had some pretty serious criticisms of the board um the answer is it's not about the board it's about the students I support the levy because I support the students and we need the levy to retain staff and maintain facilities and so on so I just want to take a very brief moment to call out a few specific staff members that I've dealt with just over the last couple of weeks I'm Tiffany Brennan and Christine Hamm at Nagel Bob buck and
his Camp Kern team um excuse me cow Fender and a whole slew of uh Anderson teachers who are very excited to meet my eighth grader just wonderful interactions across the board this is why I support the levy um that said there's a button you knew there's going to be a bud um it's hard when we come to meetings and we see an agenda item that the board is going to be asked today to pay twelve thousand dollars to settle opens meet open meetings act claims or you know the requires reporting today about the ongoing litigation about that resolution from June that is making it harder to get out there and generate support for this Levy so I'm asking you again repeal the resolution get to the citizens for Forest Hills meetings get out there in
the community communicate the need for this Levy to your Social Circles and to people who are outside your Social Circles because if we don't pass the levy it's not me who pays it's not you who pays it's the student students who pay thank you thank you Jennifer kappel [Applause] hey Katie how you doing um I'll be using my husband's minutes he's after me he's donated his time to me I will not be giving my address because my son has a current pending protection order against our former trustee Andrew Pappas for doxing and I was here six months ago and I can't believe I'm in another episode of Black Mirror where um I last time I begged this committee I begged Linda hasfield and Katie Stewart to not interact with the post doxing my child mind
you my child who is 15 years old he is a type 1 diabetic he has an IEP and a 504. and you guys still did it and after I spoke at this meeting Katie Stewart went and filed a protection order saying I harassed her at this meeting even though it was videotaped um so again this week Andrew Pappas said that my son punched his principal David Spencer in the face that didn't happen and there's Administration and Larry hook can all say that that that never happened and Miss Katie Stewart not only interacted with that post once she interacted with it twice um my son's mental health is not good right now and we already know that you guys don't care about the suicides in this in this community because you know I've never seen your
names on meal trains or donations or anything um my both of his grandmothers are standing are sitting in in the seats right now one is a retired Forest Hill school teacher the other one is a retired Forest Hill school bus driver and you are doxing her son their their her grand their grandson I I don't know what to do I don't know why a grown adult male is obsessed perversely obsessed with my 15 year old child and I don't know why our local locals mother of six Zumba instructor finds it necessary to engage with that activity now Bob Sarah Katie and Linda are all friends of Andrew Pappas on this Facebook page and you've seen these posts and you don't care you don't care about it I've watched you dead-eyed look at children who have
begged you not to cancel the diversity day I've watched parent after parent beg you beg you to stop coming after their trans children you don't care Katie Stewart's kicking a kid down who's just trying to get through algebra and hopefully gets a date to homecoming but you don't care you are here because you have Hate in Your Heart and a bunch of grown in cell men like Kurt Hartman and Andrew Pappas made you foot soldiers and we see what's going on in Florida and we know that the books are next and there's wonderful teachers and administration and people who are going to continue to beg you and reach across this aisle for their children they're going to eat glass because you guys are ridiculous and unqualified and you should never have been on this board
and all you do is bring hate and there is nothing we can do except beg you guys and plead and this Levy will fail and you guys will blame this community who who has spent their time and their effort and everything to give but you don't care Bob bibb's daughter is going to be out of here by the time he's done Sarah Jonas will just pull her child out Katie Stewart doesn't care you guys don't care you guys came here to dismantle our education system don't you dare speaking speak no I am the mediator of this meeting I will speak to somebody if somebody interrupts a speaker I'm giving you respect if somebody respect it disrespects a speaker they will be taken out what about you and if a speaker disrespects the the board then
they will be removed just just and this child officer I need you to remove this man okay that's fine remove my son you doxed my child Linda haasfield he's a minor child and I was going to come up here because I have knowledge Bob bib's daughter went to school with my daughter she spent the night at my house I know about his family I know about your family I know about Sarah Jonas's family and her husband's criminal record and I know about Katie Stewart's parents but you know I'm not going to do that I'm not going to drag everyone through the mud of this you have no right to dox a child and you guys are going to ruin this community because you are disgusting human beings and Katie Stewart I'm going to sue you
for defamation of my child and while Andrew Pappas has the money because he made his money on the backs of immigrants and recovering addicts and he took PPP money and he he deserted his business here he can afford to fight me you can't and I will drain my 401k I will borrow money from my mother to fight you for your disgusting behavior and there is a special spot in hell for you next up Mr Jason Simmons thank you my name is Jason Simmons I live at 7727 Heather Glen Drive and I'd like to start off by thanking Mr Biv and Dr Rasmussen for attending the levy volunteers meeting a few weeks back and Mr Biv something you said at that meeting has stuck with me when you were asked about how we can trust members
of the current board to support the levy when they ran on a no Levy campaign you responded with something to the effect of once you're on the inside and you see how things work your perspective changes and I was really impressed with that response and what was likely an uncomfortable situation for you it left me wondering though if the same applies to the anti-crt campaign message now that you're on the inside any reflection to the actual Damage Done to this community with the culture of kindness resolution because damage has been done as we just saw our community is fractured parents have pulled their kids out of the district teachers have resigned good teachers you've turned our community that as we've heard in these Levy discussions is one of the highest performing school districts in the
area despite spending less than other high performing districts into a Battleground for a political culture War and Miss Stewart we've seen from your comments at prior board meetings as well as the recently filed Amendment to the ongoing lawsuit the Euro Tax on the trans Community are far from over what is it you're afraid of exactly that boys are going to go through hormone therapy change their appearance and pronouns dress like girls and dominate on the athletic fields this isn't ladybugs that's not a thing are you afraid the boys using girls bathrooms to what attack female students do you have any evidence of that happening other than hearsay not just in Forest Hill School District but anywhere or maybe it's the books God forbid we read about lgbtq characters think of all the children that might
turn gay or trans as a result just like all the gay and trans students who have read hundreds of books in their lifetime featuring heterosexual characters attracted to members of the opposite sex and now you want the district to come together and vote to pass this Levy I'm going to vote Yes but there are many members in our community that understand the financial situation facing our district that would otherwise vote Yes but they're on the fence because they don't trust you and this creates an unnecessary challenge for the levy committee that's working on their own time to get our schools the money they need just to cover current operating expenses so if you truly want our community to come together and pass this Levy in May I urge you to take the first step in
bringing our community together and rescind the resolution thank you next up Kimberly oltoff good evening Kimberly oltoff Royal Woods Court uh I want to start tonight by asking everyone two questions it is time for us to have some difficult conversations and I know that um it is hard for us to admit when something that we have or have not done does or does not cause harm to someone else the first question that I want to ask everyone here is by show of hands who here wants to see meaningful change in the Forest Hill School District nobody I think this is your statement to the board right this is not a you can't be between back and forth I understand thank you you can either continue on please two is by show of hands who here
is willing to change yourselves because what I've witnessed over the last eight months are adults who are unwilling to examine whether the impact of their actions meets the intent of the action that they that they provided I've watched the board be told over and over again by Forest Hills parents and was recently admitted in Sarah Jonas's deposition under oath that there has been real harm caused by the culture of kindness resolution and yet after being told that the impact doesn't match what you say your intent was member Jones also testified that she has no intent to modify or rescind that resolution unwillingness to consider that the resolution doesn't do what was intended and claiming that it was misunderstood in its approach and then asking others to correct that calculation that miscalculation demonstrates a lack of
leadership requires the ability to admit when you were wrong and pull back and reconsider when the impact doesn't match the intent the misguided response is negatively impacting the district and it's going to negatively impact our ability to pass this much needed Levy we are all asking you to please demonstrate the humility that true leaders do by reflecting on the actual harm that was caused that has been done so far by rescinding the resolution making it the first step towards allowing the community to focus on funding and support what you say that you want which we all want believe it or not we all want the same thing we want every student in this District to be supported in the way that they need to be supported I understand that we differ on what that approach
might be but it's time to consider that a lot of us are wrong thank you Sarah said Camp Capitol Drive initially I thought that a vote for the levy was saying that I support you and you're truly terrible actions but that's not what it is a vote for Levy is simply a vote for our kids if we as a community vote against the levy because of you then two things happen first we're voting against our kids and second we're doing exactly what the people guiding you want we are helping with helping them with their goal of defunding our schools some of you clearly do not care about our kids you care solely about the agenda of your friends which includes destroying our schools if we as a community vote against the levy then we are
doing exactly what your friends want we are defunding our own Public Schools not only that but we are also further hurting the exact same kids that are harmed by your kindness resolution and the other hateful truly hateful things that you guys are doing when the community thinks that a voting against the levy is going to hurt you they're wrong I hope they consider who's really harmed by votes against the levy thank you Amber maze Amber mays2543 Viking Court I'm here to ask you again to rescind the resolution who does the resolution help who does it benefit because it's clear by the many parents and community members that constantly come out and speak here that is damaged and continues to damage this community in our schools if and that's a heavy if your intentions were good
when you wrote it then I would think you should be able to turn around and look back at what's happened and see that it didn't have a good or desired outcome it's okay to take accountability and look back and say this was wrong so that we can move forward I do this practice with my children okay they're 8 10 and 12. when a problem arises I have them State their role and only their role in the problem they're not allowed to say I did this because so and so did this they have to say only what they did period and then acknowledge it take actions to fix it and that's okay it's okay to admit a mistake it's okay to say I hurt someone even if your intentions weren't to hurt someone if my children
can understand the concept of accountability then I would hope that a group of adults can too it's how growth happens it's how change happens and it's how healing happens your elected officials and as such you are supposed to be leaders something else that I teach my children is a good leader doesn't just plow through and hope that their people follow behind them mindlessly a true leader actually leads from the back of the line so that they can look out for the people in front of them and see when they need to stop and see when people need help and see when they maybe need to change their strategy do the right thing and lead and be considerate which includes rescinding the culture of kindness resolution so this community can heal and since I have extra
time I'll just throw this in here too I think it's really ironic that you're wearing a shirt that defines kindness Sarah so I'll go ahead and read that definition of kindness which says the quality of being friendly generous and considerate now let's look at what considerate means careful not to cause inconvenience or to hurt others I'm just saying if that's something you value then you should probably stand on it thank you Andrea Granary Andrea grenieri 6396 glengariff Drive I'm going to tell you a short little story several years ago I was on a family trip and my siblings and I decided on our last night after we got all of our things packed up we were going to go out and enjoy our last evening so one of my younger brothers he wasn't quite ready
and I said something to the effect of like oh you're such a slow packer and even though I meant it very light-hearted and not at all with any ill will my brother was really hurt and offended by that and he told me that he told me that I hurt his feelings because I care about my brother and because I did not mean any ill feelings towards him or any hurt I apologize to him very sincerely so why am I telling this story because through public comments that I have heard month after month emails that have no doubt come through and a lawsuit our community is telling you that you have hurt us so today on kindness day I'm asking you to please whether you intended to or not you have hurt us take it back
resend the resolution thank you thank you Kevin mejac Kevin mishak I live at 8433 Holiday Hills Drive I have a daughter at Nagel and his son at Anderson and it's been our pleasure to be a part of this community for the last seven years I'd like to compliment um Kyle Fender and his staff at Anderson first they've done a great job with my son working on his 504 and getting him through and and hopefully we'll be attending Live Oaks next year we'll see how that goes in the next few weeks so that's great my daughter has really enjoyed Nagel I think the change made this this year has been very advantageous at the middle school and they came out of summit and that was a pretty positive experience for us also so overall pretty happy
with the teachers and the staff that we have interacting with her students so thank you very much um my topic was questions and and that was inspired by Leslie Rasmussen um last meeting I attended she asked uh Miss Stewart not to question the experts and that really bothered me Dr Rasmussen um I was sitting right there um one of the reasons you're up there one of the reasons we have this is to ask questions to question this Administration for my students to question their instructors to clarify to gain understanding all right to learn the the fundamental aspect of this school district is to teach our children all right is so they can learn so they can ask questions so you as a board are open and able to ask the administration to clarify points for
your edification all right it's not really to point out to others that that person may or may not be an expert in that topic all right um there have been plenty of circumstances where the world was not flat the universe did not revolve around the Earth all right and questions and inquiring mind and learning let us all to new understandings all right but it's a growth process and it involves asking questions and my children do that thanks to Kyle Fender his environment I haven't had the opportunity to meet Miss Brennan yet um but the principal also whose name invades me right now at Summit did a great environment it's a great school system all right we have a great reputation now we just got to pay for it now some of us don't want to
pay for that that's fine okay all we need is 50 plus one all right thank you thank you Natalie Hastings um hi Natalie Hasting 72-26 um Cobblestone Court um I just wanted to clarify really quickly I don't know how Anderson has a sweet deal but at Turpin we do pay as parents seventy dollars for every show for Turpin theater so it's not a freebie we pay it to the theater boosters but anyway um we are paying for those shows um I'm here to talk about a couple of things um I think it goes without saying that I'm here to ask you to rescind the resolution um I think it's the kind thing to do but I feel like a lot of people have talked about that a bit and so I wanted to address a
couple of other things um it's Black History Month in addition to being kindness month and um there's a quote from Maya Angelou where she says you do the best that you can until you know better and then when you know better you do better and I feel like that's what each one of you did when especially the ones who were against the levy and then you came in and you learned more about it and you're like hey okay this is my personal beliefs but now I have information I didn't have before and that's what a lot of people when we learn about systemic racism when we learn about redlining and things that people have gone through maybe people that are different than us um we get a deeper understanding and we may or may not
depending on the judgment and our critical you know thinking whatever uh make a different choice and so I'm just asking you today you know even I know a while back you know you're new um drinking from a fire hose but this is a different place now and um I'm just asking you to consider now that you know more does the kindness resolution really stand for what you thought it did as your vision statement and um I had a nice pithy little comment I was going to read from the amended complaint as a as a plaintiff in the lawsuit but I'm sitting here and I'm I'm an empath and I'm feeling the vibe in this room my mom was a teacher and I am feeling the vibe of the staff that's in this room and I
don't want them to have to listen to any more you know of just what they're having to endure knowing are they even going to have a job we're going to have to cut a million and a half if we don't pass this Levy there's an easy thing that can be done and that's to rescind this resolution and it's for every kid it's for it's for your kids too it's for our community and I just um I'm asking everyone to come together on this and finally since I have a few seconds shout out to Chris Preston he talked about his awesome 7th grade science teacher he is my son's awesome 7th grade science teacher so just wanted to add that in thank you we have one last speaker tonight his name is Doug Baker I'm Doug
Baker president of OC Local 177 I represent the bus drivers custodians maintenance Cooks administrative assistants health aides and the mechanics I'm also turpin's head custodian uh thank you for this time to speak I appreciate your time I've been listening to people called The Forest Hill School District a destination School District we are not a destination School District Coney Island is a destination Disney World is a destination Forest Hills is a legacy School District not a destination we are generational when it comes to students staff and graduates I'm a product of Forest Hill School District my aunt graduated in the 1950s from the Anderson school before Anderson High School was built my mother and Uncle graduated in the 60s from Anderson high school I graduated in 1985 and my daughter graduated in 2018 from Anderson High
School there are literally dozens of family stories like mine we're also generational when it comes to staff members we have mothers and sons fathers and daughters brothers sisters husbands and wives who work for the school district in our history we've had members on the school board for decades there's one member I know when I looked it up was on the school board for 50 years it's amazing in more recent history we had a superintendent for over 15 years Forest Hills is an integral part of the lives of the students faculty staff and the community we spend way more than the school day here Stu students are rehearsing for school plays till late at night band is practicing on weekends sport teams start before the school year and push through the grueling hot days of summer
to develop themselves into well-oiled machines faculty and staff work well past the required time to be prepared to meet the demands of the next day's lesson in events we are more than a destination where a legacy and as and as the community needs to keep up the work to help that Legacy for future Generations thank you for your time thank you [Applause] item 8.0 business operations Mr John Eckert good evening we have four items at the beginning of the consent agenda in the operations section uh item eight one is a request advertise for bids for steamers for uh five cafeterias they're just at end of life and they need to be replaced item 8-2 is a resolution authorized us to purchase buses we've had the opportunity to have current year pricing held for us which
is considerable we do not pay for the buses until they are received and these probably will not be received till late fall at the earliest so that is two or three buses totaling three thousand uh I can't see 3054 933 and I'll print it bigger next time okay uh the next thing we have we've had two bid openings uh this month uh the first bit opening was for the roof replacement and this is actually a section of the Anderson roof the winning bid or the lowest responsible bid was true craft Roofing their bid came in at two hundred and fourteen thousand twenty two dollars we had three companies bid on that project on the other project we have is the district pavement project which really is taking place mostly on this campus we also had
three companies bid on this the lowest responsible bid was naira Paving for a total cost of 2000 or 265 326. the nice thing with that is if you remember we have alternates on bids with that price we were able to take care of all the alternates for the paving so I won't say this campus will be a hundred percent complete but we'll be in much better shape than we currently are so the superintendent Treasurer requests that you approved items 8.1 through 8.4 is part of the consent agenda any questions thank you human resources Mr Rob fellows good evening to the board a couple items before you in the HR agenda and I would just take a quick moment to acknowledge last month I thanked Laura holtkamp and that's not Laura sitting here Laura's out and
Peter's in and we appreciate Peter stepping in in a pinch and helping us with all the technology so thank you Peter I'd also point out that my seventh grade science teacher was something else to balance a bike on his chin taught me how to juggle it was a physics unit but you know what it was memorable I'm better for it so thank you Chris um the first item 9.1 is a request for approval of the 2425 calendar we had it out last month for a public hearing it's been made available on our website for the past month and it is there in the consent agenda um let's see the second item I 9.2 is the HR report I would just acknowledge Miss Tammy Mccalla um 20 years in the district has announced her intent to
resign for the purpose of retirement and we're very excited for her um you know it's one of those positions that it might not be the first individual employee that the students see that's probably the bus drivers or folks out in the in the streets crossing guards and that sort of thing but Tammy along with the the rest of our Administrative Assistant staff they just do just a truly bang-up job working with our kids and everything from you know helping them get Band-Aids on when the health aide is tied up to covering uh in the cafeteria if need be calling down folks and talking with parents and and we just appreciate Tammy all her hard work um and uh and time at Sherwood and wish her all the best but we we get her for about
six more months so she's not allowed to leave before that um moving on in the item just call your attention to itemf appointments it's great to see we've got three new folks coming in in our classified area new custodian Pera and admin assistant and excited to welcome them to the organization keep moving things forward and then it's that season on the eve of spring Sports and we've got a lot going on with musicals spring Productions and all kinds of supplemental recommendations for you this evening and the last piece is an updated job description which is attached and that concludes the report both items recommended to the board for approval um this evening any questions thank you item 10.0 teaching and learning Shane Hartley I've got three overnight field trip requests for your approval hitting them
real quickly the first one is Educator Rising program that is Anderson and high Anderson and Turpin High School students as part of the teaching Academy they'll be going out to the Educators Rising conference up in Columbus at Capital University for some competition again these are future dreaming to be future Educators that we're teaching here the second is for Washington DC overnight trip for our eighth graders and this trip is proposed for not this spring but the following spring the last week of the school year and it's a new initiative by by Miss Brennan and she's working to get that as cost neutral and the last one is the DECA field trip this is part of our marketing program and these are T these are students who are going up from Anderson and interpine to from
Anderson to do some comp petition up at the state and they're working through they a lot of them went through district and qualified for the state competition so those are the three overnight trips that I'm requesting approval as part of the consent agenda thank you any questions okay no questions hi again I'm here to present 10.2 and 10.3 10.2 is in reference to the proposed book titles for the English language arts courses study for grades 6 through 12. last month we did go through our second read and then our approval for the language arts course of study as presented and with that in K-5 collaborative classroom was also adopted as the tier one meaning all student resource that would be used for formal study within the classroom as promised I wanted to come back after
having that framework approved to present the 6-12 novels that have been vetted by our teachers and our administrators to then be added to this course of study um these titles are going to be on display in the teaching and learning office for the next month and upon re approvals these titles will then be added as an appendix to our language arts course of study um as far as the topic of book reviews because I know that is a conversation that I've heard there have been people that have been part of that course of study again it's our teachers who go through a pretty um arduous process through our course of study meetings to vet various textbooks we very closely follow our course of study policies we follow our curriculum development policies there's also policy around
selection of instructional materials and through that are the only committee that's been meeting has been our teachers and our administrators um there was a question that came up earlier today that I want to be clear that there is currently no active third-party committee that is reviewing books at this time I just wanted to make sure that I made that statement clear as far as 10.3 I have also presented with you to you the secondary course change descriptions for the 2324 school year um the initial proposals were have been reviewed and with the teaching and learning team and support of our HR Director we've removed any proposals that are not cost neutral to the district so everything that you see in that list are remaining or items that were presented last month and so we are
looking for approval for that list tonight to be in the course of guidebook are there any other questions quick question for the books if somebody were to come up and review them do they have to email you ahead of time or do parents or grandparents just show up no they're on they're on display we have a sign out sheet that if somebody wants to come and check out those books they can okay okay thank you okay thank you I am 11.0 teaching and learning student services presented by Betsy Ryan foreign good evening student services has an agreement and two very exciting International trips to to present to you this evening 11.1 is an agreement with Hamilton County developmental disability services and Forest Hills this is an agreement with an intent to be a service provider
to Forest Hills and other school districts to provide intensive Educational Services for our special education students the option presented to us tonight is is presented at this time of year annually if we elect through an IEP team to place a student in Bobby Fairfax School through Hamilton County DDS and I wanted to note for this one while it is an option for us we have not utilized these service services for a number of years so I'm assuming you may have seen the cost and and may have questioned our use of this we provide most of these services in the school district in our in our buildings and in our programs for 11.2 we have an international trip this is uh Turpin High School is requesting permission for a maximum of 30 students 9 through 12th
upper level Spanish students and four chaperones which will obviously be dependent on the number of students traveling the trip is entitled Adventure in Spain and there is a forty two hundred dollar cost per student they will travel March 30th through April 8th of next year's spring break this trip is through EF Tours and again um nope I think that's it I think I gave you everything um item 11.3 is another international trip request from Nagle middle school they're requesting permission for a maximum of 42 students who will be rising 9th graders at the time and five chaperones to travel to Central America this is has an itinerary of visiting five cities the trip is entitled Adventure in Costa Rica there is a 3 399 cost per 99 cost per student they'll travel June 2nd through
June 10th of next year 2024. uh this is also through EF Tours who will provide a bilingual tour director and our Forest Hills trip leader will also be attending it is recommended the board approve items 11.1 to 11.3 as part of the consent agenda any questions thank you I'm sorry I have a question Betsy regarding EF Tours is there a terms and agreement relationship available that when students and parents sign off on these trips related to the money transition yes if they get refunded during a specific time Etc yeah it is very very uh detailed there is also there it starts off with a non-refundable fee that is paid at the time of enrollment but that fee I believe it is it is um active in for 30 days of the trip and then they
they break it down with a fee um payment plans with the parents depending on how they enroll it's very very complicated and very there are many steps involved with the process so that the families can afford the costs okay just just making sure that the parents understand the terms and agreements and the cost of that thank you yes item 12.0 we have the treasures update Miss Elena Cropper the treasures monthly report of course starts with donations donations over the last month total just over 21 000 and they were received by Anderson High School Turpin High School Nagel Maddox and Summit Elementary's moving on to Item B this of course is the cash activity statement which presents the beginning balance on July 1 and all the revenues and expenditures to date through January 31st and the
cash balance at January 31st for all funds in the district moving on to item C this presents only the general fund revenues which of course the general fund is our five-year forecast fund it presents again up the year to date up through January 31st and as you can see by the report January was low cash flow month the primary money received during this month was simply our monthly State funds and that was as expected moving on to items d and e which present the expenditures again only in the general fund our forecast fund and as you can see in this with 58 percent of our fiscal year complete at the end of January we've spent in expenditures of 52 percent of our Appropriations with an additional 6.4 percent encumber which means spending has been identified
and committed for that money so it against spending is tracking exactly where we would expect at this point in our fiscal year moving on to item F that is our bank reconciliations and Investments for the month ended January 31st item G presents adjustments to our Appropriations at this point in time and it also presents the total the revised total regarding those adjustments item h request the approval of a mutual release and settlement agreement in the amount of twelve thousand dollars and that is the last item in the treasurer's report and therefore I respectfully request that the board approve the treasures items 12.1 a through 12.1 H as part of the consent agenda which tonight begins with 8.1 through 9.1 and then picks up again at 10.1 through 12.1 h do I have a motion um
I'll make a motion to approve the consent agenda 8.1 through 9.1 and 10.1 through 12.1 h second Mrs Jonas yes Mr Bibb yes Dr Rasmussen yes Mrs Stewart yes Mrs hosfeld yes as an additional request I would request that the board approved the human resource item which was agenda item 9.2 do I have a motion I'll make a motion to approve 9.2 Mr bib yes Mrs Jonas yes yes Dr Rasmussen yes yes Mrs Stewart Mrs hosfeld yes yeah thank you moving on to 13.0 board discussion will anybody like to take the floor um I have a legislative update I don't know can you all hear me so we just discussed that previously um whether or not to have it as an agenda item we don't always have legislative updates or various board reports um so
I don't have a whole lot this go around but I did want to mention that Governor dewine's executive budget proposal has been revealed um you know we're dealing with the levy here in our community we know why we have levities and to No Surprise there's no uh proposed action to adjust that school funding at the state level so you know just another Point home of why we need to get this Levy past we are a public school district which I am a product of public schools many of you are here I Doug appreciate your your words earlier about this being a legacy district and and really what that means I meet so many people who are oh my parents went to Turpin or you know so on and so forth I I just think that's
something really neat about us um we have along that lines we need to pay attention to Senate Bill 11 that is coming through um it's you know it's still all being vetted right now but it is it was just reintroduced as Senate Bill 11 and that is the one that is around Ed Choice the last board talked and followed the backpack bill that was coming through you know we now have the next delegation or general assembly excuse me um and so with that come Senate Bill 11 which is moving to Universal vouchers perhaps and also potentially removing um income restrictions so that just anybody could go ahead and take those and that takes money from our Public School District so I just want to point that out and let people be aware a lot of
times and we should be fixated on what's happening right here in our backyard but at the state house that is what is happening and if we're concerned about funding our Public School District that we are in and represent then we should keep our eyes on that and I would encourage people in the community to write their representatives we have we have a representative in District 27 that is uh friendly of and a supporter of public schools but it needs to go beyond that to other representatives to our governor's office and so on and so forth I just personally would love to see some more advocacy around that and pushing that fair funding model it is just a proposal dewine's budget is uh I think it goes to the committee later in March or sorry the
Senate so they'll they'll work through that and see but as of right now you know that's kind of where we're at so that's that thank you anyone else sure um I wanted to remind everybody that Parent Academy is next Tuesday February 21st at Nagle Middle School and they are covering topics such as reading at elementary level rounding Roundtable discussions about middle school and some sections about safety drills overcoming Anxiety PBS and Etc in the classroom so there's still plenty of time to sign up you can go online and request sections also today is National SRO appreciation day so I wanted to just give a shout out to officer woof and thank you for keeping the building safe um also I know Leslie just received one and I received one last month it was a letter
from a Community member letting us know about a property tax appeal and I just wanted everybody to know that um and Elena had cleared this up for me but recently passed House Bill 126 prevents school districts from filing on properties which sales occur after the current tax lien date so and in this example calendar year 2013 we won't be able to even file this appeal till 1-1 of 2024. so we have put this information into the attorney to make an appeal about it so thank you for sending that notice and that's all I have a question the 400 000 we saved by staggering start times is that and that's not including the buses we would not need correct that's correct so that's even more savings correct when will we I mean if the Levee fails
that's if the Levee fails but I don't I mean I don't know what the opinion is but 20 minutes of starting a staggering start times is not a great deal some people it may be some people may not be can we look at doing that before we were looking at that right now on the shared Staffing music the shared Staffing the extracurriculars that reach down into the elementaries okay I don't know if we're ready to bite that yet okay if it were just a start time and it didn't impact any of that that's one thing but you gotta look at the you know the impact of it overall understand um I have a couple of comments uh do you have more boxes thank you um you know one of those speakers mentioned that this is
Black History Month um so I just want to take a moment to acknowledge that and to thank all of the the building teachers that actually took it upon themselves to um sorry not loud enough dang I'm normally really loud too all right um it is Black History Month I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of the teachers that in the buildings that took it upon themselves to acknowledge that to um you know share stories and things of that nature I you know I do wish we could have a district-wide recognition of some sort that is a little more cohesive there um but I I do know that a lot of people independently did that throughout the district so I just want to take a moment to acknowledge and thank those people um
I also want to take a minute to thank Michelle Easton and Amy Heiss and Sarah mcgo and their team up there Amy Miller for all of their work that they are doing with the levy um I I think Amy Heist told me she's spending something like 40 hours a week working on this thing so I know that it is taking a lot of man hours and time away from things that you value also other than than campaigning um so thank you for that and I also want to take a minute to acknowledge some of the public comments tonight um and the fact that it is kindness month um that sentiment is not lost on me especially because I had to scramble for spirit week this week the about kindness week so if somebody could stop
springing those on parents that'd be great um I'm just kidding uh but oh but related to that though a lot of people are expressing unfortunately the same things that I am hearing and I speak with people that are or I run in these circles where people are 100 Levy supporters um and there there are some roadblocks the largest glaring roadblock is this resolution it needs to go it's it is a barrier and it is making the levy committee's work harder we could end this tonight I'll give you one vote um it takes three this these culture wars are ruining public education they're going to end up ruining private education too when people think that's the solution it's just going to follow it in a different way and in a different place that's the truth next
month I'm taking my self down to Florida um and I'm speaking at a conference to about a thousand people about Christopher Ruffo and all of his work and what that actually has meant I wasn't going to go to Florida because I was boycotting Florida but given the topic in the large audience that I'm going to have there I'm going to go and I'm going to spread that message as far and wide as I can because I am in fact an advocate of public education I believe in it I believe in our kids um this community needs Unity we need to throw down like stop throwing down the gauntlet basically pick it up kick it away move it away and just move forward and this is I mean I can't make this plea every time but
I I will you know it is the roadblock it is the roadblock it would make the levee's job so much easier um if you would please rescind be kind and rescind that resolution that would be great um and we could just move forward like if it I'm I'm really struggling after all these months to understand the end goal um because all I see is division and I think that it's time we listen and take action um so yeah sorry I didn't have that planned I'm just rattling but it's frustrating thank you I do have something to say tonight which is on a very positive note here just this week we had a wonderful teacher that has spent a lot of time in this District her name is Miss Chris Bartle she spent 30 years here
and she was um interviewed on channel 12 and some of you may or may not have seen it but she came into she's at Sherwood and I got an email this week with the teachers just love her over at Sherwood so I just want to extend a shout out to her because she's done such a wonderful job in this district and is now retiring after 30 years and so I think I just wanted to say thank you and this is very near and dear to my heart because she helped establish the Forest Hills Early Childhood Program starting with five students and it has grown to over 250 so I just want to thank her for bringing this on one of my um one of my kids had actually grown up going to the Early Childhood
Program and if it wasn't for this program I don't believe that she would really be here today doing the great things that she is doing so I I give a real good shout out to her and good luck and and hopefully she's doing a bunch of traveling in her retirement so thank you thank you very much Larry I have a quick question for you over here um do you have a candy in your mouth we all need a sugar boost sometimes um so I want to I just want to make something clear to the community the board is not actually involved in the day-to-day of this disciplinary thing happened at this school and this disciplinary thing happened at another school right we find out about the big things really I would say so um because
we're not the administrators right they do their job so I just want to point that out and my question to you Larry is if a child punched a principal in the face I'm gonna guess that would be on the news and that you would have let the board know right right exactly so I just want to be clear about the community expectation and the community understanding of how that stuff works um and the what am I trying to say here the importance of not legitimizing lies that involve children the children that are under our watch period so um yeah so let's just not do that we can in fact be better about that kids off the table you want to talk about my hair go for it don't talk about kids thank you so um
