currently serves as your senior class president. Though it has been her first year serving in student council, she is grateful for everything that she has learned. Bravery, leadership, and compassion are a few of the qualities that she has cherished. Above all, she's found that teamwork has guided her through the highs and lows of senior year. Her and her student council helped plan events like senior sunrise, senior sunset, and the passage ceremony. Student council also gave Valerie a chance to find her voice as a leader. Speaking at freshmen are fantastic night and this year's senior capping ceremony helped her shape her confidence. Beyond student council, she has been involved in a wide range of clubs including health occupation students of America, National Honor Society, Creek Connector, and speech and debate that have fueled her curiosity and
helped her build diverse connections at Pine Creek. This year during HOSA state leadership conference, Valerie was the 2025 Colorado HOSA state champion, supporting her dreams of one day serving in the medical field. Besides club, this year she says she got to live the high school dream as she was crowned homecoming and prom queen. Uh making school dances some of the most treasured memories. Valerie wants to give a huge thank you to Miss Saunders, Dr. Keith, and Mr. Gracia for being incredible mentors during her high school years. Next year, Valerie will be attending Barrett, the honors college at Arizona State University, majoring in biomedical sciences on a premed route. Additionally, Valerie was awarded the Next Generation Service Corpse Public Service Academy scholarship at ASU and will provide early internship opportunities and a curriculum focused on public
service. It is my honor to hand the mic over to your senior class president for 2025, Miss Valerie [Applause] Angelo. Stick with me here. Thank you so much, Miss Beerman, for your kind introduction. Guys, today is the day we celebrate our unity and our shared adventure. Today is the day we can celebrate a moment we have all been waiting for. And today is the day the class of 2025 can officially close one door and open the next. It's not just high school we're saying goodbye to. For most of us, it's the six years of elementary school, the three years of middle school, and our final four years of high school that have made us who we are. Needless to say, I'm so proud of all of us. Pine Creek has provided us with a community
that takes shape beyond just an education. Sure, navigating through the bustling hallways with so many of us wasn't always the easiest. Nor was trying to leave the parking lot after school. That was never easy. Don't even get me started on those stairs. I never thought that falling up the stairs existed until I fell up the stairs my freshman year of high school. Maybe one of these days I'll miss those stairs. But Pine Creek meant more to us just beyond the crowds. The truth is our education had meaning deeper than just homework assignments and lockdown browser. its foundation really begins with our educators, staff, and admin. So, here's where the thank you begins. And if we haven't made it obvious enough, teachers, you are greatly appreciated. One thing truly amazing about all of us is despite
our unique interests, differences, and preferences, we've all shared a se special bond with at least one incredible teacher here at Pine Creek. There's really a teacher for all of us, and they've helped us in ways we may not have fully realized it until now. So, thank you to all the AP teachers who helped ease our stress for our AP exams, even though you were dealing with your own. Thank you to our POW Lab math teachers that were there for any of our math concerns. Thank you to the teachers who felt more like our mentors that we could get advice from. And in my case, and in many others, thank you for not getting mad at us when we didn't pay 25 cents for a morning hot chocolate. I know that one must have been hard.
Every great opportunity comes with something even greater to learn from. I and many others have grown to learn that teachers are not just proud of us because we did well in their class. They're proud of us because they've seen all the hard work and all the potential we have. They're proud of us because they've seen us. Sure, we've learned things like the scientific method, the hero's journey, y= mx plusb, and many important events in history. But nothing compares to what we've learned after spending our time in the classroom. You've taught us the different kinds of knowledge we'll carry on for the rest of our lives. Dignity, respect, kindness, courage, and care. All thanks to you for modeling what it means to not just be good students, but also good people. As to our staff, thank
you for being the other unsung heroes we couldn't function without. Your devoted promises, everlasting care, and commitment to us isn't appreciated enough. Thank you to our determined custodians for keeping our classrooms and bathrooms clean, and our hilarious security for keeping the hallways safe. And thank you to our kind attendance ladies who've seen the 15 doctor's appointments in our absences. We all know the truth might have been bent on those ones. And finally, thank you to Mr. Boychek and Mrs. Cornelio. Whether it was Mr. Boychek giving us a safe space to come to his office, all period, or Miss Cornelio who has single-handedly changed the lives of for many of us heading to college. We'll never forget the moments they shared their excitement with us during some stressful times. They reminded us that when you find
the good anchors that support you when you need them the most, they'll bring you the hope and happiness you never thought you needed. Excuse me. Who am I to think without thanking our fierce leaders that run the school? To our awesome admin, thank you for putting up with us. Your leadership and hard work may be challenging at times, but just know how grateful we are for you. You guys are the true backbone of what it takes to make Pine Creek function on a day-to-day basis. I'm so sorry. By handling a variety of different situations with grace and patience. You've taught us that leadership isn't just about making these hard decisions, but it's also about being there for us when you need the most. You are all so important to us. After this moment, we will
be Pine Creek alumni. And it feels strange saying that. A big part of us is due to all of you. For myself and many others, we have created some of our best memories using the support you have given us. And this is where the thank yous end. Well, not really, because our story continues. Thank you to all of us. Thank you, class of 2025. Thank you to friends and best friends. Thank you to classmates and acquaintances. You all made going to school much easier every day and learning a little more fun. I'm humbled that of all the years we get to graduate, I get to graduate with all of us. Us as in the largest class in Pine Creek history. What an amazing accomplishment. No matter where life takes us, we will always have this
chapter that will be completed together. Don't worry, we are going to be okay. I'm so glad we have the honor of excelling through life using the things we've learned from all of you. On the other hand, for those who have AP testing after receiving your diploma today, I suggest you please take my advice afterwards. No stress. You're going to do great. Here's to an amazing us, the class of 2025. Thank you. Please forgive my sick voice as I feel like a lot of us got the after prom sickness. Now, please welcome Mrs. Kathleen Rafi Raphael who will highlight these remarkable accomplishments of the class of 2025. [Applause] Rael, thank you for those wonderful words. She will be attending CU Boulder in the fall to study a biochemistry as an honors premed. It is my distinct honor to introduce to you our student speaker for the class of 2025, Miss Ji Wu [Applause] Kim. Good afternoon everyone. families, friends, teachers, and most importantly, the graduating class of Pine Creek High School. Isn't it strange how four years can feel like forever? And now we're sitting here at the Cloon Arena wondering how much longer
we have until we can finally walk across the stage. And if there's one thing I've learned over these past four years, it's that high school is the kind of place where we ask, "How much longer do I have?" at least twice a week. As a freshman, we wondered how much longer we have until we could actually leave campus for school lunch. As a sophomore, we wondered how much longer we have until we get our license finally. As a junior, we wondered how much longer we have until we became the top dog seniors. And as a senior, we're wondering how much longer we have to use e-haul pass for. The answer is never, by the way. Now, these moments we couldn't wait for have become our past. They became the same stories we'll be laughing about
in the future years. The chaos, the heartbreak, the tears, they are now in our history and they were just the beginning of our stories. And I wouldn't trade any of them in a heartbeat. You know why? Because beyond the noise and the drama, high school quietly taught us something bigger. Perspective grows. Story are still being written. Like that one day in Gracia's AP bio when my friend Zoe quietly said my name and I turned around confused and said, "Who said that?" And somehow, despite it being the beginning of the year, Ava convinced the rest of the class to that that I was hallucinating and no one said my name. That weird yet silly inside joke stuck around all year, beguning a close classroom environment, and it reminded me that sometimes it's the most random, ridiculous
moments that make the deepest memories. Those are the moments that made learning in school fly by. And then there were the group projects, late night texts, after school practices, the hallway therapy sessions. Although it felt like chaos, it was chaos that brought us all closer. We've all had those moments laughing until we couldn't breathe, finishing something we swore would fall apart, and then looking back and realizing, wait, we actually just did that. We weren't just classmates. We were a community. We led, failed, showed up, and grew. And somehow through all of it, we became something stronger. I'm forever grateful for Pine Creek because Pine Creek gave us more than just a diploma. It gave us lessons that don't show up on our transcripts. We learned hard work from our coaches who pushed us even when
we had little left to give. We learned care from our teachers who believed in us even when we didn't believe in ourselves. And to every teacher out there that let us submit something just a little late, just know you're the real ones. We learned loyalty from classmates who became friends. The kind who show up, stay late, and never let you face things alone. That's the real education. And that's what I'll carry with me to my future years. Now that we're here standing at the end of one chapter, I realize how many small things we took for granted. Like the morning drives where we lingered in the car with our friends, putting off the walk inside the school. The hallway detours we took just to casually see someone. The glittery signs we made or received during
ho season. and the stress laughing while the stress laughing while racing back from lunch, praying we wouldn't get another lunch detention. And of course, Miss Beerman yelling at us in the morning to get hype despite us still waking up. All those little things, they were everything. And now they're becoming our last. But here's the truth. Graduation isn't the end of the book. It's just the end of the prologue. There are still so many pages left to write, so many mistakes still to make, so many places to go, people to meet, and versions of ourselves that we haven't even imagined of yet. Because if high school taught us anything, it's that we are stronger than we know, braver than we feel, and more capable than we ever imagined. We've made it through the challenges and the
best parts together. And now the world is wide open. So take it all in. Hold tight to the memories that got you here, and then go. Be bold, be curious, be kind, and never forget where you came from. Because no matter where we go next, we'll always be an eagle. So to the class of 2025, when life feels too loud, too fast, or too uncertain, remember this. It is just getting started. Now, I want to thank you for the laughter, the lessons, and the legacy. It's been real. It's been unforgettable. And most importantly, it's only beginning. Thank you. And now I'd like to please welcome Nuance as they will be singing Don't Forget About Me by Keith Forsy and Steve Schiff. [Music] Hey, hey, hey. [Music] Done. Dancing. You know it. Baby d [Music] everything.
They pull us apart. like your heart, baby. Don't you forget about [Music] me. Don't Don't you forget about [Music] me. Will you stand above me? Rain falls falling down [Music] down. Rain keeps falling. Rain keeps falling down down down. I say la. [Music] When you call my will you call my [Music] Thank you for that beautiful performance there. Hello everyone. My name is Emtt Smith and I am the student body president at Pine Creek High School. I've had the honor to serve for these past uh this past year and thanks for having me. As we sit here excited for what's to come and the final finish line of our high school careers, it's easy to forget about the journey and the critical moments that redefined each and every one of us and that made us
who we are. It's in these very redefining moments that we're truly able to grow as we are pushed to our limit. One of my favorite quotes reminds us to rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance. Endurance produces character and character produces hope. It's a reminder that it's not the easy days, but the difficult ones that shape us. And through that challenge, we discover both our strength and our purpose. While you all have accomplished so much, none of us would have made it here alone. Behind every seat tonight is an endless support system, the teachers who believed in us, the families who supported us, and a community that lifted us up even when we didn't see it. I would like to personally thank all the teachers at Pine Creek who mentored me, my family
who showed up here today, and the endless community members who supported me and pushed me on my path to succeed. Now, for someone who represents the community that has allowed all of us to succeed, it's my pleasure to introduce Academy School District 20 Superintendent Mrs. Ginger Hopper. Ginger Hopper, a Cardo native, brings more than 30 years of educational experience and expertise to Academy District 20. She comes from a long family lineage of educators who instilled in her desire to inspire others to be lifelong learners. After starting her career pathway as a registered nurse, she soon realized that her true passion was in being an educator. Ginger has served in many roles from the classroom to administrative, including earning her national board certification as a science teacher, and serving as a middle and high school principal,
an assistant superintendent of student achievement, and a superintendent in the state of Washington. Ginger is proud to be back in her home state of Colorado as a superintendent of Academy District 20, where the team one spirit ensures that all students strive. So, please everyone put your hands together and give a warm welcome to Superintendent Ginger [Applause] Hopper. Well, congratulations class of 2025 Eagles. Today is the culmination of your hard work, your resilience, and your dedication. This is your moment to reflect on all you've accomplished and take pride in your journey. Our D20 vision for you is that you have the knowledge, skills, and character necessary to be successful beyond graduation. But none of this would have been possible without the help from your family, your friends, your teachers, and other mentors. They've been with you
every step of the way, and today they share in your success. So, let's take a moment and thank them for their unwavering belief in you. Personally, I'm reminded of the legacy of my own parents, Carl and Jane Johnston. My mother was a kindergarten teacher and my father a high school English and journalism teacher. And together they taught me the importance of collaboration, curiosity, and being a lifelong learner. And although they are no longer with me, their influence continues to shape my journey. And I encourage you to hold tight to the lessons from those who have helped you along the way. So graduates, listen to the wisdom that is shared with you by others. A poem that captures the essence of values like humility, grace, and living life well is if by Ruddard Kipling. Kipling was
a prolific writer who won the Nobel Prize in literature in 1907. He had one son, John Kipling, and we can infer that this poem was written for his son before John left to be a soldier in World War I. And even though this poem was written for John and somewhat reflects the culture of the times, there are ageless truths embedded within. And I encourage you to listen to what resonates most with you. If by Roger Kipling. If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you. If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you. But if you can dream and not make dreams your master. If you can think and not make thoughts your aim. If you can meet with triumph and disaster and treat those
two impostors just the same. If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken twisted by naves to make a trap for fools. or watch the things you gave your life to broken and stoop and build them up with worn out tools. If you can make a heap of all your winnings and risk it on one turn of pitch and toss and lose and start again at your beginnings and never breathe a word about your loss. If you can force your heart and nerve and senue to serve your turn long after they are gone. And so hold on when there is nothing in you except the will which says to them hold on. If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue or walk with kings nor lose the common touch. If neither foes
nor loving friends can hurt you. If all men count with you, but none too much. If you can fill the unforgiving minute with 60 seconds worth of distance run, then yours is the earth and everything in it. And which is more, you'll be a man, my son. Class of 2025, your future is filled with endless possibilities. So stay curious, be resilient, and dream big. I am confident that you will shape our world in remarkable ways. And as a D20 grad, we welcome you back to share about your future adventures. So let's give it up for the class of 2025. [Applause] Thank you, Superintendent Habber. Seniors, graduates, you've made it. If you were never absent a day of school since kindergarten through today, you would have spent 13,616 hours learning, growing, and becoming the young adults
before us. Now, when you began school as a wideeyed kindergartener, maybe nervous, maybe excited, you had dreams of what you might become. For some of you, those dreams were bold, wild, and magical. I asked a few of you to share your early dreams with me, and here is what I learned. Julia Zettoer wanted to be an ambulance driver by day and a pop star by night. Gianna Chastine, she had her sights set on becoming a T-Rex. Brooklyn Stewart dreamed of being in the WNBA. And what a season it was this year for our girls basketball team. Isaac Landry hoped to be a history teacher. Brie Martin saw herself wrestling alligators or playing hockey. Some of those dreams have shifted and others have sharpened. And that's exactly what growing up is all about. In your 6,295
ele hours of elementary school, you learned to read, to write, to share your crayons, and to treat others with kindness. You made friends, you build forts, and you discovered your first passions. Thank you to our incredible elementary educators who set the foundation for your journey. Many of you, specifically Sydney Ashton, remember going to Ammerittown and playing Grown-Ups with fondness. Then came middle school. 3,1 8 hours that you survived of lockers, learning, awkward growth spurts, and identity exploration. Many of you started in 2018, the same year as the infamous bond bomb cyclone. Anybody remember that one? I heard some stories about that one. Tori Vasetro braved the storm for the perfect haircut. Josiah Flores shared that he probably played way too much Fortnite. And Renzo Gennard said his electricity went out for the day and he
played Candylander or Monopoly against his sisters and probably no definitely won. You started becoming who you are. You picked up instruments, joined teams, tried coding, drama, and debate and survived your first group projects. And then came high school. over 4,175 hours of high school. Many of you right here at Pine Creek, you discovered not just what you love, but also what you don't. And both are incredibly important. You built friendships, overcame setbacks, earned state champions, and submitted college applications at 11:59 p.m. You grew into resilient, caring, and courageous young adults. You shared a few of your favorite memories with me. Javier Jackson shared he fondly remembers the dance battles at freshman lunch. Epic. Bethany Mertens and Brock Kinsey shared one of their favorite memories were anytime they got to go to marching band state. Ava
Yeton shared she will always remember freshman year and Dr. Gable's geometry class that made math actually fun. Cooper Lee shared he will always remember senior football night when it was freezing cold, but he got to walk on the field with his parents and grandparents. And Jonathan Edwards, who attended three different high schools throughout his career, said Rocky Mountain High class is one of his favorite experiences. Where else do you get the opportunity to go to Red Rocks during the day and go rock climbing? Now, as we stand at this moment of celebration and transition, I'd like to take a moment to recognize those who helped you get here. your parents, your grandparents, your siblings, teachers, coaches, and mentors. Graduates, would you please rise, turn to the audience, and show those who have supported you and
shaped you some love. I'm going to give you guys just a minute to connect, find your audience members, make some eye contact. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] All [Music] right. Thank you so much family and friends for your unwavering support. Before we closed, I asked a few of you what your future dreams look like now. My how they've changed. Jayla Martinez hopes to become a criminal profiler inspired in part by Mr. Roush. Caleb Smoot wants to be a psychiatrist inspired by his dad, Miss McCone, and Mr. Hogue. Nicole Deator Kantu wants to appreciate the moments in life. Ashley Moffett shared that she always wants to be a doctor, but Dr. Keith and athletic trainer Steven Reed helped her hone her passions. And Jackson Palace wants to be a journal wants to pursue journalism and
credits Miss Powell and his mom as his inspiration. And just like that, your childhood dreams of being singers, firefighters, race car drivers, and dinosaurs. Your future paths will continue to evolve. Give yourself the grace to go, grow, the courage to change direction, and the commitment to pursue what matters to you. Class of 2025, I am so proud of what you have accomplished academically, athletically, artistically, and in your clubs and activities, but most importantly into the kind, gritty, and good people you've become. Congratulations, Pine Creek graduates. For one last time, I love you, Pine Creek. And as always, go Eagles. [Applause] Miss Cons, will you kindly join me at the podium? Junior attendants, will you please make your way forward? I'm just kidding. This is Miss Unes. She's our board member. I apologize. Uh, Miss Unz,
I am so honored to have the opportunity to present you the members of the Pine Creek High School graduating class of 2025.
