Um, >> next on the agenda is election of vice president of the board and I'd like to nominate Tammy. >> Second. >> Are there any other nominations? >> All right. >> Okay. All right. We'll close the nominations. Adam. >> Uh, Greg. >> Yes. >> Julie, >> yes. >> Uh, Dan, >> yes. >> Kim, >> yes. >> Tammy, >> yes. >> All right. >> Um, next up is um the um committee appointments. So, I've got a list here from last year. Um, so we'll just run through these one by one real quick. Um, so the ACE team last year was Tammy and Julie. >> We don't really part of our collective marketing agreement kind of
random force. >> Okay. >> I think we do have because of CBA, but we still >> Okay. >> So Tammy and June. >> Yeah. Um, next is the Northwest Ohio School Board Legislative Committee, which was Kim last year. >> Yeah, I'll stay doing that. >> Okay, thanks. >> Uh, next is OBC LMRC. That was Tammy. >> Go ahead. >> Okay. >> Um, Ohio School Boards Association annual annual business meeting. That was came last year, but I think that's me this year. >> Yeah, I think it's whoever. Unless you really want to do it. >> Well, whoever wants to visit. >> Whoever. Yeah, I mean, >> I'll do it. We didn't go last year, >> right? >> And I thought about going anyway. >> I got an email a couple days ago that said you've been
nominated by your district to >> Oh, because you're going to be president. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> It can be anybody. Um, why don't we decide you can be the rep and then if we decide to go to the conference next year, we can >> I I kind of enjoy it, but [snorts] >> Yeah, I did not enjoy it. >> I did not enjoy it. >> I think we should leave it as >> Yeah. All right. Sounds good to me. >> I didn't I left so that I could go to dinner, though. >> Yeah. >> It's a six-hour meeting. >> Yeah. The one time I went >> I don't know why. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Um, Ohio School Boards Association legislative leaison was came last year. >> Um, Ohio School Board Student Achievement Representative Kim, [clears
throat] that was you last year. >> Okay. >> You want to do? >> Yeah, that's fine. >> Okay. >> Public records designate was Dan last year. Do we want to switch that up? >> Yeah, we switch it every year just so that somebody, you know, I don't know. I think I did it the year before Dan. >> Yeah. to do a quick three hour online. >> You're not recording. You record this year. >> You just record >> recorded. >> Oh, yeah. I just recorded. >> You still get? >> Yeah. I don't I'll do it. >> You want it for your >> I feel like it's been four years since I did a >> That's what we're kind of doing. Just each year so that Okay. Um, records committee is the president, so that'll be me.
[snorts] Um, SCA LMRC last year was Julie and Dan. You guys want to stay on it? Does anybody else want that? I'm happy to stay. I know this this last >> [clears throat] >> uh semester. They had the meetings at a time when I couldn't attend. >> Okay. [clears throat] >> But I'm happy to be on it and try and persuade them to have it at a time when I could attend. Are >> those meetings usually at the same time? Yes, they are. >> They're at the same time. It could be a different birthday. >> Yeah, it's the day. It's not the time. It's the day. >> But but that will only be for the first four months of this year and then next year it won't be a problem or next >> next semester.
>> Yeah. >> May fall. >> So, I'm happy to stay. >> Okay. >> Julie and Dan. >> Yep. Julian Dam. >> Um Sylvania Area Community Services. Kim, that was you. >> Yes. >> Do you want to keep that? Yeah, I >> Yeah. >> Okay. Um, Sageard was me. I will keep that unless somebody else really wants it. >> Um, Syria or Sane Community Improvement Corporation. Um, that's me. So, I will keep that unless somebody else really wants it. If anybody else wants to get you press the shirt, >> nothing. [clears throat and laughter] >> Um, Sylvania Prevention Alliance, Julian Dan, >> American Stan. Again, there was a a conflict, but that should be resolved for this. >> Okay. All right. City Schools Foundation Julian Tammy. >> I mean, I'm not going to listen to tomorrow,
I believe. >> Is it okay? >> Is there no Julie? [clears throat] >> Anybody else want to do that? Okay. No takers. Uh uh SPBO uh Kim and Danny continue with that. >> It's just too hard. >> It's not. It's just quarterly. >> Yeah, it's fine. I mean >> if you want it, I'm happy. >> No, if you want to stay fine, but I'm also happy to do it. I haven't done it before. >> Why don't you do it this year? Says >> Jeremy and >> Yeah. All right. Um, the superintendent advisory committees for communication was Kim and Tammy. You guys want to stay on that or should we >> I I'm good staying on it. I feel like it's sort of in my wheelhouse. So, >> okay. >> Does anybody else want to be
on it? >> No. If you want it, like I'm happy to do what? >> Yeah, I'll do I'll do I'll do you like doing it. >> You don't want to do >> I mean I like doing it, but I I'm happy to if somebody else wants to take a turn on it, it's fine. Continuity is good. >> Okay. Facilities, me and Julie. Um, I'll keep it. No one else wants it. >> Okay. Finance was Tammy and Dan. Uh, permanent improvement, Julie and Dan. >> You guys want that? Didn't we decide at one point that permanent improvement and facilities should be the same thing? Like we should somehow have improvement. >> No, like it's basically the same thing. >> Yeah. Can we just get rid of that in the >> Oh, that's what it was. >>
I thought we talked about doing it, but I don't think that [clears throat] >> we'll take a look at it. So for purposes it should be Greg and Julie since it'll fall No Dan and Tammy since it would fall under finance. >> No fall under facilities. >> Thank you. >> Um policy committee that was Julie isn't that the president vice president. >> All right Tammy are you good with that? >> And transportation was me and Kim. I don't think Dan has mentioned substantive substantive committees. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Do Yeah, I'm good. We didn't even meet last year, so >> I don't think we did. >> Things and who? >> Kim, do you want to stay on >> or do you want me to stay on? >> It doesn't Well, you're present. >> Yeah.
I mean, so yeah, Greg, you have two. >> Well, three of the eye, but I'm not going to. >> So, you have two. Sammy's got three. Kim's got one. Dam's got one. I've got one. So, >> I'll stay down. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> And that is it. >> You want communications? You got >> I mean, I would take communications if you don't want to. >> I have two. I have one. >> I have three still. So, that seems like a normalizing spots. >> I mean, I'm happy to see [snorts] communication. You want to do it? >> So now Kim and Julie >> Kim and Julie >> has to do. >> Yeah. >> Okay. You don't need us to reread all those data. You just need a motion. Okay. I'll make a motion to approve
the committee appointments. >> Second. >> Any any discussion? >> Call the roll. >> Julie, >> yes. >> Greg, >> yes. >> Dan, >> yes. >> Tammy, >> yes. >> Kim, >> yes. >> All right. Next we have the monthly meeting schedule. Did everybody I'm assuming everybody got a chance to take a look at that. Does anybody have any questions or comments? >> I'll entertain a motion to approve that. >> I'll move for approval. >> A second. >> Yeah. >> Kim, >> yes. >> Tammy, >> yes. >> Dan, >> yes. >> Julie, >> yes. >> Greg, >> yes. And then Ohio School Boards Association. Dr. M, is that you? >> Yes. >> Go ahead. I recommend item 7.1 for our annual membership and this would be a renewal for the SP schools board of education um
their membership to the Ohio school boards association approval. >> Yes. >> A second. Any discussion call? >> Julie, >> yes. >> Dan, >> yes. >> Tammy, >> yes. >> Greg, [snorts] >> yes. >> Kim, >> yes. >> All right. Now we have appointment of the treasurer prom. Um, Adam, you said that's >> just me. >> Yeah, it's president. It's I should never basically just have to take meeting minutes. >> Okay. Do >> I move that it's right? >> Second. >> A second. >> Any discussion? Call the roll. >> Uh, Julie, >> yes. >> Tammy, >> yes. >> Uh, Dan, >> yes. >> Kim, >> yes. >> Greg, >> yes. >> Um, all right. All right. So, now we have to approve the advances of taxes collected. Um, >> just allows us to submit [snorts] a
resolution to the county to get taxes advanced throughout the year until our final settlement comes. So, we normally get one in January. >> I'll move for approval. >> Second. Any discussion? Overall, >> Kim? >> Yes. >> Dan? >> Yes. Tammy? >> Yes. >> Julie? >> Yes. >> Greg? >> Yes. Uh, next we have approval of the service fund appropriation. Adam, you want to summarize that? >> Yeah, it just allows us to make some board expenses um throughout the year. It's very small. It's 8,000. Hasn't changed. >> Second. Any discussion? >> Roll. >> Julie? >> Yes. >> Dan? >> Yes. >> Kim? >> Yes. >> Tammy? >> Yes. >> And Greg? >> Yes. >> Uh, next we have approval for resignations. Um, I believe this just gives Dr. Mley the ability to accept resignations here. Is
that correct? >> That is correct. >> Okay. >> Second. Any uh comments? >> Julie? >> Yes. >> Dan? >> Yes. >> Greg? >> Yes. >> Tammy? >> Yes. >> Kim? >> Yes. >> And then last we have um employee employment of personnel. Um again, I think this gives you the >> correct >> ability to hire people as needed. Approval. >> I'll second. >> Any discussion? >> Uh Julie, >> yes. >> Kim, >> yes. >> Dan, >> yes. >> Tammy, >> yes. >> And Greg, >> yes. All right. Last, we have appointment of board counsel. Um, and we have this list of seven firms, I think, that we can use as general counsel. Do I need to read those? >> Not just listed. >> Okay. As listed, do we have a motion? >> I'll move for
approval. >> A second. >> Okay. Any discussion? Call the roll. >> Kim? Yes. >> Tammy. >> Yes. >> Greg. >> Yes. >> Julie. >> Yes. >> Dam. >> Yes. >> All right. And I will move that we adjourn the meeting. >> Discussion. >> Greg. >> Yes. >> Julie. >> Yes. >> Jamie. >> Yes. >> Kim. >> Yes. >> Dan. >> Yes. >> Right at 6:00. >> Perfect. >> Call this meeting to order. Adam, you want? Yeah. >> Uh, Miss Hoffman >> here, >> Mr. Conlin >> here, >> Mr. Lavlet, >> Mr. Feller >> here, >> and Mr. >> here. Sure. To the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> Uh so this is our first
opportunity for public partic public participation for agenda items. >> Did you miss anyone that intends to speak to the board that didn't shut out? >> Just one. >> All right. Um just a reminder, um public or public comments are limited to three minutes. So try and try and uh keep your comments within that. So Gary Schmidt. >> All right, you're up. >> Can I? >> Yeah, you can. >> I can't stand. >> No, you're good. Just give us your name and address. >> 60 seconds. >> Name and address for the record and then give us your comments. >> Um, I just found out about this meeting watching the new news on W. [clears throat] Real quick, would you mind stating your name and address just for the record? >> Huh? >> Say state your name
and address for the record, please. >> Oh, okay. I have a hearing problem. >> That's okay. >> Gary Schmidt, 5779, Sun Valley Boulevard, Sylvania. >> All right. Thank you. >> That's a Grove Bell subdivision. >> Okay. >> Which is just west of Tyler Meadows Golf Course at the lake. That's where the entrance is to Groell. Lived there for 38 years. Um, I want to talk about this levy that's coming up and what the date is. I'm sure that it's on the next election. Is that right? >> Correct. May. >> When is that? >> I don't know the exact date. >> Okay. >> Is it the springtime maybe or? >> Yeah. >> Okay. I'm from Mount Pleasant, Michigan. [clears throat] Born there where Central Michigan University is. I talked to my mother when she was in
her 80s. Good one talk about different things that you know, you just want to know in the future cuz she's going to pass away. And one of the things was I asked about our school. I remember going to school. I remember uh first uh kindergarten. I was 5 years old. I'm 85, born 40. And so that's 1945 that I started school. And I remember the Second World War. So I do remember a few things that are going on. And I asked my mother, I'm the oldest of five kids. how do the schools go? Any problems or anything? You know, she says, "Let me know." And u we got to the finances, the taxes. And she says, "That was not a problem at all." Of course, you know, they were dirt cheap back then, but they
got through it. And she says there a few times that we, you know, had to tighten our belts and but we got through it. And look at the today. Oh my god, we're in the millions now. It's terrible. So, I'll be glad to see what you come out and see what your needs are, what they're for, and how much it is. But no matter what it is, I'm going to vote against it. Um, I really want to represent the elders in here, but I don't want to give any, >> uh, you know, on social security and I do have a pension and I do get a loan, which is my wife and I. I had two grown kids went to uh [snorts] uh Northview and uh for the taxes I brought this whole thing. You
know, this is about your taxes. Everyone gets what these right. Um, my taxes net general tax for half a year is 3,45. The school tax is 1,662.18. Figure that out and it comes out as 48.8%. Let's round it up to 49%. 49% of what I pay for my taxes is over just for the schools. 49%. That's ridiculous. Something's got to be done. Um I I I just don't know. And I live on a corner at the entrance when you come in to grow Bell. So, if it's going to be on the ballot coming up for the levy, I'm putting up a big sign there against it. I don't care what it is. If they win, if you win, I'm moving. I'm going to F Fton County down the road. Five miles. I think that's all
I want to say. >> Thank you. Okay. Thank you for your comments. >> All right. Next on the agenda, um Dr. M2. >> Yes. I would like to speak about board appreciation, but I'll do that at the end of my session. Um first, I have item 3.1. I recommend for approval, which is the acceptance of gifts. We have a donation of $1,000 to the South View speech and debate program from Maxwell Zorich. He is a graduate of South View for the class of 2007. >> Approval second. Any discussion? >> Thank you. >> That's a tremendously generous. >> Yeah. Thank you. >> Julie, >> yes. >> Dan, >> yes. >> Greg, >> yes. >> Tammy, >> yes. >> Kim, >> yes. >> Thank you. Next, I recommend item 3.2, which is an administrative retirement. We have
um Don Watson who is the director of custo custodial services who has served as an administrator for Savannah schools for over 20 years. She is our most senior administrator in the district at this point in time and we recommend as well as congratulate her on her retirement. I'm mov >> yeah thank you Don. Congratulations. Thank you for all your service. >> Certainly uh will not be the same here, but I might still call you back. >> All right, Adam. >> Julie, >> yes. >> Kim, >> yes. >> Greg, >> yes. >> Dan, >> yes. >> Tam, >> yes. >> Thank you. I recommend item 3.3, which is the appointment of Carla Bernath as assistant director of transportation. And Carla is here this evening. There she is. Um and I'll share a little bit about her
as we go through um the process of her approval. >> A second. >> Any discussion? >> I'll share. >> Sure. >> Um it's my pleasure to welcome uh Carla to the administrative team. Uh Carla has a wealth of experience in transportation and logistics. She's actually served as an instructor uh for CDL drivers at Owens. She has served as a supervisor. She's driven a bus. She's worked for public transportation with the charter system. I can go on and on and on, but we uh value her experience and think she will be a great addition working with Mr. Bulert who is here tonight as well as director um to support our drivers and paraprofessionals in the transportation department. So, I highly recommend her. I think she's going to be a fabulous addition to our already wonderful transportation
department. She's going to take it to another level. >> Thank you. >> Welcome, Carla. Appreciate it. [clears throat] >> All right. Call the roll. >> Julie, >> yes. >> Tammy, >> yes. >> Dan, >> yes. >> Greg, >> yes. >> Kim, >> yes. >> It's official. >> Thank you. [applause] >> Thank you so much. Moving on, I would like to recommend item 3.4, which is our annual Noaka and NBEC agreement. It is noted um as noted on the board agenda. Agenda, it is for our internet access services. >> I'll move for approval. >> Second. Any discussion? >> Kim? >> Yes. >> Dam. >> Yes. >> Greg, >> yes. >> Taming, >> yes. >> Julie, >> yes. >> Thank you. I recommend item 3.5 which is just for discussion and information for a number of policies
as noted for a first read. And then moving on to item 3.6, I recommend an overnight field trip as noted for our North View High School students to attend Capitol University for the state educators rising conference competition in March. >> I'll move for approval. I'll second. >> Any discussion? >> Kim, >> yes. >> Julie, [clears throat] >> yes. >> Tammy, >> yes. >> Greg, >> yes. >> Damn. >> Yes. >> Thank you. The next three items are very similar in nature, but they are serving [snorts] different categories of support services or related services. I apologize for our students with special needs. The first one is item 3.7 which is a service agreement with common through for January 5th through May 29th. >> I'll second >> discussion. >> All right. Adam, call the role. >> Julie,
>> yes. >> Kim, >> yes. >> Dan, >> yes. >> Greg, >> yes. >> Tammy, >> yes. >> Thank you. I recommend item 3.8, which is a service agreement again with compel. This would be for cup health rather another uh level of service for our students with disabilities. I'll move for approval. Second. Any discussion? >> Kim? >> Yes. >> Julie? >> Yes. >> Tammy? >> Yes. >> Greg? >> Yes. >> Dan? >> Yes. >> Thank you. Lastly, I will almost last. I have the last service agreement with Comp Health, which is item 3.9. Comp health will provide a third level of type of related services for students in our district. >> Move approval. >> Second discussion. >> Julie, >> yes. >> Dan, >> yes. >> Kim, >> yes. >> Tammy, >> yes. >> Greg, >>
yes. >> Thank you. I recommend item 3.10, which is an administrative stipen for Miss Deon to serve as the 2026 high school summer school principal. I'll second. Any discussion? >> Who seconded that? >> I did. >> Julie, >> yes. >> Greg, >> yes. >> Tammy, >> yes. >> Kim, >> yes. >> Dan, >> yes. >> Thank you. And before we move on to our next section with Mr. diversity. I just wanted to take a moment to share with everyone and as well more directly with our board members. Uh this month, January annually is uh school board um recognition month and I just wanted to take an opportunity on behalf of our administrative team and teachers and students to thank our board of education for all that you do. Many folks see you via YouTube or
here in the room tonight and they think this is the spectrum of the work that you do. And I know that there are many meetings at 7:30 in the morning after school. There Saturday phone calls, there Sunday phone calls, there's events, you serve on a variety of committees that we have noted some tonight. and your um your your gift of service goes so much further than that because sometimes you serve on a committee that has other obligations and more committees that are ad hoc committees and the list goes on. So I just wanted to say on behalf of our district, thank you for all that you do. Um again for our students putting first our families, our educators, our administrators, and our learning community. Um it it may go unnoticed, but I want you to
know it is deeply appreciated because many of times you're doing this behind the scenes. You don't tout like, oh, I have to go here and I have to do that. You just do the work because you believe in our students and you're investing in our students. And so, thank you for all that you do. And we have a little treat for you. Not only with all the posters that are around the room from each of our schools, we have Mrs. Ba's class. Ba's class also each year is so dedicated to provide us with stupid cookies and she makes the best chocolate chip cookies ever. Um we gobble those up every year and so we will be able to enjoy some dinner tonight during our executive session. But also we have a little quick video from
one of our elementary schools. Um we're going to hear from our students at Silver. Adam, if you would please. >> Miss and Miss. >> Oh thank you Miss Vortex as well. Thank you so much Jim. I appreciate that. >> [music] [music] >> Hi, I'm Bailey Langover and I wanted to say thank you for everything you do for Pennsylvania schools and our kids here at elementary. We want to be able to serve our students more. [music] >> [music] [music] >> We're grateful to So Elementary because it's the best school in district. I'm grateful for my teachers. >> I'm grateful to go to elementary because we have the best school ever because I like to learn because school. I like to go to schools cuz they keep mattering. I am thankful for being [music] smart and nice.
I'm thankful to make a school cuz I make a lot of thankful for the kind school. I'm thankful for a clean school. I'm thankful to go to school because you can make a lot of stuff. [music] All the secretaries and people at Silen Elementary are nice. So that's why I like to go to Silver Elementary. I like to go because I like playing. >> I like to school because they have one reason I like to go to the Sylvania schools is because they help the teachers help us learn. Thank you to school to Sylvania schools because they make me smarter. >> I'm thankful for because I like learning new things. I also use school because I love all the kids. I love all the teachers. I love all the parents. I love [music] all my
friends. And so thank you for your dedication to us. Heat. Heat. [music] [bell] [music] >> [music] >> Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. [music] Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. >> Thank you. [music] Yeah, [laughter] [music] that's great. [music] >> I don't think any of us can set it any better. That's what it's all about. So, thank you, Sylvania Board of Education members. We appreciate you. Yeah, thank you for that. Um, >> we also have the thank you cards from Timberstone. There's nine of them, so we can pass them around during a tech session. So, you can each read each of them. They're also very >> And I just I think
I can speak for the board members and just say thank you to all of our staff. I mean, we're just a small part of this and obviously it's our staff that really make the district what it is. So, thank you to everybody. >> Okay. Um, next, Mr. Terski, we are with you. >> Thank you. Thank you. I have two items. I'm going to ask for approval on consent agenda basis. 4.1 our license to substitutes and 4.2 is license 4.1. >> A second. >> Any discussion? >> Julie? >> Yes. >> Tammy? >> Yes. >> Dan? >> Yes. >> Kim? >> Yes. >> Greg? >> Yes. >> All right. Next time, before we move forward, can we circle back to the policies for first read because we didn't really I >> I Yeah, I skipped the discussion.
I apologize. I was actually glad you were excited to get to the board president. It was worth it. >> There's just there's like what 32 of them. >> Yeah. So, >> this must have been one heck of a policy meeting. >> It was It's 3.5. Um and there are a range of policies. Some are duplicates as they serve different sections of staff. So it [snorts and clears throat] may be for certified staff as well as licensed staff. So um if there's any discussion or information or questions that the board would like to share at this time, I certainly should entertain. Are there any I mean I know a lot of the times [clears throat] these are um a lot of changes that are to update for statutory reasons or um just pol is there any
major ones that we should really look at in terms of big functional changes or are these [snorts] just all more statemandated? I I as I recall it was um mandated um RC changes that we had to comply with. I know we spent a lot of time tweaking some language. I can't think I mean this was like a month and a half ago. >> You must have responded to changes in the state law. There were >> I know there were some policies that were formally I believe two or three different policies and Nola did collapse those two or three into one comprehensive policy. So that would be one significant change. And I I did notice that like the anti-harassment policies have been removed it looks like and then kind of merged in with some of the
other non-discrimination policies. I kind of made a note of that. I was surprised that the um [clears throat] actually reached out to Adam. The audit policy I thought was really crazy. Um and it's a new policy, right? Um, but basically it says that the board or a um committee of the board has to count all the district's money when the superintendent leaves. And I'm not sure how that works. Um, >> treasure treasure >> treasure the treasure leaves. >> Yeah. Um, and I I did go back and look at the at the revised code, and it looks like in the most recent budget bill that used to be an op that language was in the [clears throat] code, but it also provided for an option for um somebody from the state auditor's office to perform that
function, but they took that away. So now it's exclusively evidently on the board to to perform that function, I think. >> So would we be able to hire an auditor? >> Yeah, it can be. It's said a board or the board. >> The board or a committee or the board? >> Cuz you don't want me auditing. >> We get audited every year. >> Um, >> so that could be the committee that audits it. >> Okay. [snorts] >> Yeah. I don't think we have to sit down and do it. >> God help us. I >> mean, I'm assuming the committee would hire an auditor to >> We have an auditor. We get >> I would think, but that's I mean, that's not what it's >> Do we need to reward that is the >> No, it's
it it tracks it tracks the statute. >> Yeah. It's just I don't think it's especially well out, but that happens sometimes with the legislature. Um, and then my other question was there was a change to um I think it uh the school safety policy 8,400. Um, and I think that the the change was to talk about considering the impact of student cell phones, I think. But does does anyone know are these EMP EMPs the emergency management they're still nonpublic right? They're correct. Okay. They're still considered correct >> confidential safety documents the Okay. >> So we can make these changes but they're still not public. Okay. Correct. >> Great questions. Any other questions for discussion? >> Fair enough. >> Yeah, I think that's all I had a few other questions, but then I answered them myself.
I think that's it. >> Okay. Um, next on agenda, item 5.1, resolution [snorts] to proceed for the property tax levy. Um Adam, so this is to this is the second the second resolution we have to pass. Correct. >> Yeah, this is second resolution. Uh it's a resolution to proceed. So if passed tonight, we'll submit to the board of elections uh with the resolution that we had uh previously along with the certification from Lucas County. So it'll be like all one packet that we'll submit to the board of election. >> Okay. Is there a motion? I'll move for approval. >> I'll second. >> Is there any discussion? >> I just I just want to say obviously, you know, Mr. Smith, thank you for your comments. Um, obviously, you know, we we've heard comments from some of
the community. Um, we understand this is, you know, it's certainly an ask. Um, but you know, it's been 10 years since we've had a levy and unfortunately we I think the district's done a very good job over the last 10 years getting as far as we have, but unfortunately we're at the point in time where we have to do something, >> right? I mean, None of us wants to is eager to do this. We're all taxpayers. This isn't um something we relish doing, but you know, talk, you know, there's some some you can talk to, it's state legislators who could fund their funding act, which wouldn't leave us in that situation. >> But it it's my feeling 38 years I've been paying in. I'm a senior citizens. I understand >> limited income and there's a
hell of a lot of others around here too is that in the same boat us >> I'm not going to stand for it. I'm moving if it goes through >> just across the line. >> It would it wouldn't be so bad but you know with the reeal it wouldn't be so bad but with the reevaluation would be a problem. >> I'm sorry this this isn't the time for a lot of public discussion. We're just this is for the board to talk. Um, so don't mean to cut you off, but we're >> Yeah. Um, so I guess are there any other comments? >> I I think the other comment would be that there's going to be this is our if we all vote to approve this sent to the board of elections. I think there's going
to be a lot of information to come and there'll be a lot of time to talk if and please you shake your head no, but if you want to email me or call me anytime, I'll have a conversation with you. And I think a lot of us board members feel that way. Mr. Schmidt, I'm your neighbor. I'll be happy to talk to you anytime and explain how >> you wouldn't talk to me on the phone anytime. [clears throat] >> I think I >> That is not true. >> I think I talked to you one or two times in 38 years. >> Okay. I've only lived in your neighborhood for 12. So, um it I think there's a lot more information to come and we'll be happy to I think over time um have discussions about
this. So, I I look forward to helping at least provide information, >> right? Um and just to echo what Kim said, I think all of us on the board are willing to talk to anybody. I I met with a concerned neighbor earlier today, so I'm the same. If anyone has questions, I'm more than happy to sit down and talk oneonone. >> Um All right. All right. Well, with that, Adam, you want to call the roll? >> Kim, >> yes. >> Tammy, >> yes. >> Greg, >> yes. >> Dian, >> yes. >> Julie, >> yes. >> All right. So, this is the second opportunity for public participation for non-aggenda items. Seeing none, I would move that we go into executive session for the purposes of um >> uh Greg. >> Yes. >> We will not be
taking action after executive
