001it is a Friday night under the lights one final time here in the 2018 regular season d20 football air Academy the cadets taking on the Lancers of Liberty and welcome in everybody josh al alongside Brian German and Brian these two teams it's been a long season for both but both an opportunity to finish out on a positive note here in 2008 I think especially the Liberty Lancers playing at home they haven't won a game yet this year but they've had some close battles and they got they've got 13 seniors on this team this is the final time they get to suit up and play in their home field and you know they're gonna be playing for pride and on the opposite side Air Academy they come in at 6 and 3 on the season they
002also lost a couple of big battles against their Pikes Peak League opponents the two best teams in this league one lowest and rampart but they're right there in third place so they would like to solidify themselves as in third place with a 3 and 2 record in league play well Liberty knows what's ahead of them tonight as we take a look at some of the keys to the game tonight for the Lancers again a team that has struggled struggled record wise but turnovers they're gonna be key tonight Brian definitely coach Eric Gossage told us you gotta win the turnover battle and he's got some defensive players who can make some things happen so he's hoping to force some fumbles they've recovered 9 fumbles from the opposition this year and got 6 interceptions they also want
003to be solid on special teams maybe that's blocking a kick if they can do so if not it's making changing the field by nice long punts and they also want to execute without hesitation or does that mean that means you know exactly what you're supposed to do on any given play and you just go out and you do it well for Eric this is a team that comes in averaging 21 points a game they run it for 184 game's the yards a game we could see a heavy dose of number 41 the senior running back Kyle Pope tonight Kyle Pope has a four 100-yard games coming into this one he's close to a thousand on the year I would imagine he goes over that tonight so yeah you'll definitely see Kyle Pope getting the ball

016yards passing about 100 yards rushing about 91 per game and speaking of rushing how about the opening carry the game here for Liberty that's the Elias Alexander the junior running back and he has a first down for the Lancers Elias Alexander hasn't had a ton of carries this year but boy he showed some speed on that one right there getting through for the first down his Liberty team averaging just under 200 yards he came on offense a quarterback the senior grant Suggs out of the pistol and he'll give it off to Alexander again and staying behind his blockers is able to plow forward for close to 8 yards on first down maybe coach Gossage has found something here in Elias Alexander a good job up front by all those men on the the Lancer frontline
