good early evening to you from district 20 Stadium you're gonna watch some high school field hockey thanks for joining us my name is Brian German alongside me as Dave told her is the Liberty Lancers the 10th ranked team in the state will be taking on the 9th ranked team the Arapaho warriors and we're looking for a good one day should be a real good one Brian you look at these two teams they come in with identical records Liberty 3 9 and 2 Arapaho 3 9 and 2 as well there's no conferences that all they're all in the state 5a same system but these two teams coming in very close on the RPI identical records we should have a good game tonight and Liberty is a team actually that's made up of several different high schools
so it's not just girls that go to Liberty high school it's some other schools as well it's a it's an all district 20 team and all six schools are represented five girls on this team from our Academy for from Liberty and Pine Creek rampart as well and one each from DCC and one from TCA they all come together they all play here at Liberty and this is the third year of their program they've taken girls that have come together from a lot of different sports some to play soccer lacrosse some former volleyball players as well they've all come together and they've all learned the sport about at the same time ingesting your Koski former standout field hockey player herself is leading this team this is her second season and she's doing a pretty good job
at the at this level you're teaching these players pretty much the whole game from the ground up they have one girl Jennifer Schneider that came in she transferred in and she's played before the high school level every other girl they're learning as they go along and they're learning from two pretty good ones Jesse near Kowski Taryn Brill the two coaches they both won national championships when they were collegians playing for the University of North Carolina so they've got a couple of good coaches but they're not so much teaching skills and teaching strategic strategy I should say their teaching skills they're teaching these girls how to play the game from the ground up it's been fun to watch they won two games each of their first two seasons and their win on Saturday when they went
up with Smoky Hill their third win the most they've ever won so that was an exciting time for this team it certainly is and on the other side for the rapaho warriors it's Ashley Loftus in her first season for the Warriors and like you said they have been been doing about the same thing both of these teams learning more about the game they don't have a bunch of players to come in and I've been playing this forever they're just just now learning well they really are an Arapaho started their program the exact same time Liberty did the 2015 season so both of these teams in their third year and you see they both have three wins this season Arapaho they won one game their first year they won two games last year three this season
they they've been improving like we talked about Liberty they've got three wins this season and they're coming off a good win they were on the road last week they won at Smoky Hill four to one the week the week before that they played Cherry Creek the undefeated team number one team in the state played them do a very good game they lost 3-0 they gave up a couple of late goals but that might have been the best all-around game this Liberty team played was against the best team in the state hopefully they've got some more of those good all-around games coming up let's tell you take you through these starting lineups first the Arapaho warriors Taylor sabato Carolyn Weiss Katelyn fan Schmidt Abbie Chalmers Megan England amber winter strum hyper rondell Neve Murray Derbyshire odd
and in the pipes will be Savannah Crowder and for the Liberty Lancers they'll go with Jennifer Snider Mackenzie due to Guam Jordan Toller kaitlyn tabeling penny Schwab Tessa Morse Olivia Ruth Campbell fair Madelyn bourgeois tasty Davis and Haley edge will be in the goal for the Liberty Lancers and Haley edge she does a good job for them really does as good as good as there is anywhere in the state Brian 166 saves that's second in the state she's number one in the state and saves per game at almost 12 per game so what that tells you is your goalies making a lot of stops your defense is letting a lot of shots get through on her but she's done a great job just a sophomore she was the backup last season Kristina Jensen was a
two-year starter for this Liberty team she graduated Haley jumped into the role and as the coaches told us she's much improved over last season has done a great job especially on her rebounds Tessa Morris got things started and the Lancers will try and control the ball here and coach Tarkovsky gave us some tips to this game and some things they like to do and she talked a lot about to touch passing explain what that is doing well what she what she explained to us the to touch the first touch is stop the ball but get make good stop the second touch is a good pass she doesn't want this team dribbling and we've seen throughout the the season I've seen a lot of their games this season they dribble too much sometimes and the coaches
have told us that as well they want to see quick passing the ball is faster than the feet make a couple of quick passes and we'll see if they can get some things going another one is winning those 5050 balls we'll keep an eye on that during the broadcast is as you know the team's energy the teams compete level let's see if they can win a few of those and then get balls into areas flats and throws get balls into space where they can run to them and and create some better channels and some lanes to get some offense going and the Lancers get a turnover there from a rapaho and they will start again with the ball and that's one of their better players Madelyn bourgeois one of two seniors on this team bourgeois
and do d'avoir both the two seniors today and they were recognized before the game as this will be their final home game for the Liberty Lancers yeah and their final game of the season overall they end the season this season at home and and two seniors that they were part of the program when it started in 2015 they were sophomores so they've been with the program since its inception and I've done a great job dude applause a forward she'll be very active over on the far side running down the right wing and and Madeline boos wha the center defenseman she's very active she's maybe their best all-around player she plays strong she's got a great Drive when she can hit the ball so both of those seniors they will play the entire game and they'll
be active neat Murray played the ball in there with a nice lift but the Lancers came back with it Jennifer Snyder played it forward and now here you see the Warriors trying to work something the Lancers collectively get back on defense that's Madelyn bourgeois trying to intercept the pass there nice job by penny Schwab also back on defense we're gonna get a call yeah so free hit coming up here for a wrap a hole they'll have to yeah there's their one touch they'll have to play it back and what you want to see here Liberty see if they can get on get on some people get some shots blocked and keep them out of the circle lots of warriors inside there and there's a call it's gonna be a foul a backhand you cannot hit
the ball with the back side of your stick that's exactly what the Warriors did there and it's a turnover twofer to give back to the lands yeah so the game goes along for people that maybe aren't as familiar with field hockey we'll try to explain the rules as best we can were as familiar either but we'll try to try to explain as much as we can the stick has one flat edge and a round edge the flat edge is the forehand so unlike in hockey you can't play it with the backhand you have to turn the stick all the way around and and you'll see in some of the some of the tight shots some of these girls very good at turning that stick forward and back to use the the right side of the
stick if you touch of that round side the reps will blow the whistle the ball goes to the other team nice job there by Olivia Ruth stopping that ball and playing it forward but the Warriors were back and able to retake possession there's a good look at amber Winter strum playing the ball in these two teams very close as far as talent you mentioned they've both been only in existence as teams for three years so ladies still kind of learning the game as they go along you look at the number of goals that are scored Arapahoe scored 35 goals this season in 14 games Liberty 36 goals in 14 games so these two teams they're almost identical in everything they've done now they played three times Liberty has won all three times that they played
and they met once earlier this season up at Arapahoe McKenzie do Dubois scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 game so maybe the Lancers with a little bit of confidence and there's a good look at penny Schwab right there the defensive middie and he Schwab won the the one player from the Classical Academy you mentioned all these players a lot of these players from different schools but she's the one from the Classical Academy she does a good job there in her position when she's active she's a defensive middie but she will be up in the play she'll be up playing a forward position you'll see a lot of times those even the defensive Middies they'll be up into the play the forwards will have to rotate back a little bit the midis can run basically
anywhere there's a good shot of penny right there or she will set it down and put this ball right back in play penny a junior midfielder defense for the Lancers there's a nice pass there couldn't be handled by du Dubois and most coaches probably prefer players to pass rather than dribble the ball exactly and that's what the the coaches want to see and we'll see as this game goes along the more passing there is the better chance Liberty will have on on offense and the better opportunities that they will have a lot of times you'll see them and again a lot of the girls they are learning the game as they're going along they'll they'll get the ball on their stick and as you can see that's a short stick so they got their head
down they run right into traffic sometimes the more you can make a pass and and spring somebody there is no offsides so you can send the ball down and try to free up one of your teammates nice steal right there by McKenzie dutiful while she gets it and sends it inside look out Lancers trying to make a move but the whistles blown and it goes back over to the Warriors Olivia Ruth trying to make a play on that one and that was a ball that touched the foot that's another one of the rules in field hockey I cannot touch the foot of a play or just touch one right there that went off the foot panty swab and then once there's a free hit you'll see here the the opposing team has to back up
at least five yards so when the ball set down they have to be five yards back and here's a good look at this free hit coming up here for the Warriors that's Darby Sherrod she will give it up to Neve Murray we've seen her lifting she likes to lift the ball to her teammates there's a great job defensively by Jennifer Schneider for liberty but she gets a call I believe it hit her foot must yeah I must have hit the foot down there so it goes back over a good job by by schneider of jumping and just being aggressive getting the stick down you'll see a lot of these players they'll just lay that stick down try to get a block tackle and get a turnover snyder brings the defense tor tries to send it
forward to do to bois and the ball comes out again another whistle I apologize if they're the officials don't make their signals as well as normally in football they take the time they walk over they show us but here they make them real quick or they don't make them at all so we'll just let you know it's been a turnover we will do the very best that we can from our vantage point we watched a little bit of the JV game before this one to wrap a whole one two to one and we saw in that one a lot of the the whistles would blow and we would look directly at the ref and not get a signal either so we'll do the best we can moving ahead Tessa Morse sends it on the side
trying to get it to penny Schwab but that's gonna go out of bounds and back to a rapaho and again it'll be nev Murray to hit it in and that's a play there that was we talked about the passing Tessa Morris trying to make a good pass to Penny Schwab put it in an area just went too far an out of bounds suit of Lawsons between the legs of the defender and out comes the goal keep the little answers still keep it alive she Neider finds it just outside the circle works it inside again oh the Lancers had a good opportunity there but the whistle blows in Savannah Crowder has bailed out nice job by Liberty getting that ball in it was a Mackenzie dude of wha that carried the ball in took the first
shot we'll watch the replay right here there's the second one there's the last touch it went off the foot of the goalie right back to do two one and her shot went out of bounds and the Lancers keeping the pressure on right now another whistle and I'll answer steal it again dude of WA inside to tabeling tabeling swats it down wow that goal to keep really comes out does Savannah Crowder still working it inside another job by Olivia Ruth down there but the Warriors get the turnover so Brian has you called the name Caitlin tabling she's a junior goes to school over at rampart she started the season playing on defense and about midway through the season the coaching staff made a lot of changes they've really at anything they moved some players up and
down and tabling was moved up to forward she responded with three goals and that win over Smoky Hill last week just misses the pass there and look out the Lancers still buzzing around the goal right here but again back touch and it'll be warrior ball yeah that one went right off the foot at AC davis another player that was recently called up jumped up to the varsity and she was at the top of the circle that ball hit her foot and this one come back to Liberty Olivia Ruth nope we'll get the hit up to penny Schwab yeah they're gonna call a free hit on this and penny I'll send it over and another whistle inside there's an illegal touch but yeah back and forth we go and he's a team they want to play
quick we talked about their that they're passing that's gonna be a timeout that was called on the play but Liberty wants to play fast and when there's a whistle you can continually play unless the refs blow that dead and make you stop the ball for a free hit so the coaches have told him hey if that whistle blows when that ball is set take it and go and if they'll let you go you can you can get going before the defense ever gets set that's what they tried to do right there and then the timeout was called coach Turner Koski talking to her team this is actually Loftus talking to the Warriors and so far they've been really put back they've been playing mostly defense yeah they have most of this game has been played
in their own end and and that's what Liberty wants to do you'd like for your forwards to go to work and and the forwards playing up front tonight for Liberty you got Mackenzie dutiful ah Olivia Ruth Kaitlyn tabling and as we mentioned tabling three goals in that last game they played a Florida one win over Smoky Hill Mackenzie doodle-oo has a goal as well Olivia Ruth has been active she has three assists on the season so you'd like for your forwards to go to work down there and keep as many balls away from your goaltender Haley edges as you can and there's a good look at number 55 right there Haley edge a sophomore five nine she gives this team some good length she's much improved over last season and second in the state with
a hundred and sixty-six saves that's amazing that's it's an awful lot of safes oh it's a lot in a sport where you don't get a whole lot of shots typically and you know she's uh she's been acting a little too active you don't want you goalie making that many saves and you like what's happening so far as most of this game has been down in the Arapahoe end so the timeouts over and the Lancers coming back out onto the field we'll see if they can keep that pressure on against Savannah Crowder and the Arapaho warrior defense Arapahoe will have the ball for the free hit and again taking just about every free hit for the Warriors is Neve Marie and she'll take this one the official waits and now tells her to go and there's
it cut off again by Schneider Schneider inside takes a shot oh just on the outside of the goal but what a play by Jennifer Schneider intercepting that and taking it in by the raid hustle there's a look at Jennifer Schneider we'll take a look at it right here Schneider jumps in intercepts that pass takes the shot and may have gone off the goaltender let's see if we can get a look at it right here there's the shot just went wide of the cage but a good look by Schneider and again look at little answers putting the pressure on the Warriors right here it's gonna be another steal as Tessa Morse sends it towards the end line it goes out it'll be warriors ball well you like the good aggressive play I mean it Jennifer Schneider
jumped that last play Tessa Morris jumped out one and that's what that's what you want to see that the coaching staff despite that four to one win at Smoky Hill on Saturday they weren't real happy with with some of the effort that they were seeing from their girls but I tell you what early in this game I like what I'm seeing yeah Jennifer Schneider again this time she gets the call she'll dribble it up the right side send it inside looking for Duda voix the Warriors are there defensively but again Schneider comes up with it what a play by the freshman trying to send it inside the Warriors packing it in pretty well defensively they get it out on the side and here come the Lancers again what Jennifer Snyder's really really taken over on
the right side of it she really is it we talking about those 50/50 balls being key she's won a bunch of them already and there's a good look at Jennifer Schneider right there Schneider trying for two to voix we're gonna call on the inside and that's an obstruction call that they're gonna call against dude of law and that's another thing in field hockey you can't put your body in a position that blocks the other team so and a lot of sports you're taught to protect the ball protect the puck well you can't do that you got to keep your feet moving and that time due to Vlad just kind of set a pick on the play and she got called for obstruction and due to voix gets cold as the ball hit her foot there
this one leaps over the Liberty defender and rapaho will now set up and try and do something offensively McKenzie do Dubois seniors she should be all-district 20 she goes to school at DCC she plays ice hockey at rampart she plays field hockey here at Liberty covering three of the six schools in the district Wow that's amazing and here comes due to voix inside the tasty Davis I'll try and work it on the outside penny Schwab was running up the middle and there was gonna be a call and the Warriors get the ball back play on no advantage made after the ball hit the foot there of the Lancers Jordan toll are dropping back defensively knocked that one away that stops the Warriors and they will play again ooh that has to hurt that's gonna sting
right on the inside of the knee that was Tessa Morris that got in and blocked that shot and she goes down on the play wow that's that's a tough one to take especially now because that ball is hard but it is cold here it is quite cold only about 40 degrees and they're in the shade so it's probably even colder than that here's another look at it oh that one stings I would now want to do that no that's why we're up here and they're down there exactly these these girls have played this sport they're tough you can see they don't wear a whole lot of padding they were a little shin guard that's really about it no no helmets they wear the goggles that that will cover up and protect their eyes and see
Tessa Tessa morphs getting up and being helped off the field probably just a sting no hopefully yeah she'll just be able to walk it out a little bit have a nice bruise to show oh yes tomorrow yep that and that field hockey ball is hard it's a it's a hard resin material it doesn't balance it all like a like a lacrosse ball and well you take you take one of those especially on a cold day that stings any Schwab since this one up the midfield Judith was gonna come away with it a nice job tries to touch it over and a good job they were running on and a whistle and Olivia Ruth will set it up back outside the 30-yard line but Lancers go to the goal Penny Schwab pretty much trying to smack
it inside there where you can get some control dutiful wah tries to get that one good defense by the Warriors and they're gonna call it off the foot again they are a good job by by Liberty quickly transitioning they got that ball into the circle that's what you want to do if you get a if there's any kind of faul that's in the box a foot a stick in obstruction to get a corner out of it which is a huge advantage for the offense again pressure by Liberty the Warriors are feeling it Lancers trying to get control of that ball there's penny Schwab she's got Campbell Fair running on she stops sends it towards the middle Tacey Davis is there but can't control the Warriors come back the opposite way good defense here and here
come the Lancers once again nice job by Madelyn bouche wah that was a really nice play by Booz walk cuz she had to turn the stick over to stop the ball collected it and started the Lancers going the other way another whistle and the Lancers will take it just outside the 24 yard line any Schwab gonna have to run this one down she can players set up down in the corner Campbell fair can't play it still alive down there good job defensively by the Warriors and finally a back hit is called and it'll come back out to Arapahoe yep and that was Campbell Fair who was trying to work down on the baseline and you see Liberty there trying to mix things up they've tried to go to the middle that time they tried to
make the pass down to the baseline and get it right back in the arc and again the Lancers going to work stepping in front of those passes Jennifer Schneider can't handle that one Jacey Davis and back to Schneider Schneider - Schwab Schwab didn't get enough on that one and it's kicked out of there but the Lancers will try and maintain control look out here comes a rapaho Madelyn bourgeois back defensively good hustling back by the three defenders for the Lancers and here's almost a takeaway that's the deepest Arapaho has gotten in this whole game into the the Lancers in and the Lancers almost got trapped they've been playing so much offense all of their defenders pushed across midfield and you wanted to push up a little bit but they almost got beat behind on that
last play it's the Warriors now trying to do it on the left side but Jennifer Schneider is there and a call is made and the Lancers will take the ball this will be Mollie Kapus peipus typists malik apis in the game now for the Lancers took that free hit Benny Schwab tries to control it another back hit and it'll be Lancer ball Schwab tries to play it forward and the Madelon Eric Campbell fair couldn't play that one good hard drive there by penny Schwab maybe just a little little too hard but you can see how quick Liberty wants to play they don't want to wrap a hoe to get set up at all there's a ball played up into the air knocked down by a McKenzie dutiful wah a little bit high on that ball
so now the lady Lancers will come back Kylie McCullough in the game and here they come forward again Campbell Fair is there Ruth trying to play it she goes down and a call is made that'll be a foul and the Lancers will get the ball and again it'll be McCulloch to take it nice smack inside 2 to voucherize because you kicked out of there by Crowder the Lancers keep the pressure on again Tacey davis and another back hit and again it'll be warrior ball what a great ball by Kyle and McCulloch to get that ball inside and it was outside of the arc again another rule in field hockey there's a good look at McCulloch gets all the way through it's touch by boot by my McKenzie dutiful wall and then kicked out of play
by the goaltender but had that ball gone all the way through it wouldn't have counted you have to be inside the arc for that goal to count that's why you saw Mackenzie jump in and touch that ball and try to get a redirect in front but she wasn't able to Tessa Morris is up on the sidelines she's looking she's looking better than she was when she came out she's probably wishing she had some of those goalie leg paths exactly and I wouldn't have heard it all back now come the Warriors look out Madeline bourgeois is there they send it out to Lucy Fleming Fleming tries to get around the corner and we got a call inside we have an obstruction call on Liberty so this will be a corner coming up for Arapaho the first
corner of the game and the corners definitely a chance where a team can definitely score on because you're it's basically a seven on four yeah it's an outnumbered situation you can see the Lancers have to start inside the cage they can't come out until contact is made with the ball the rest of Liberty has to start beyond the 50-yard line and a tough hit there by the Warriors look out deep inside and the Lancers make the stop on the corner so good job defensively by Liberty and you see this very often when a team gets one corner they typically get a couple of them because once they get the ball kind of down there in the mixer everybody goes to work and they're whacking and hacking in if you get a foot touch that goes
against you Lancers come out quickly on defense a good job there and they're gonna call the ball to the Lancers great job defensively right there for Liberty and that was number 11 Mollie peipus yeah good job by kaya pass and I think she she took a stick on that one that's you take one of your fastest players and they call that the fly she's gonna run right at the ball and get there as soon as she can and she got there about the same time that stick came up and and got her there's a steel lookout shot inside and a goal the Arapaho Warriors have scored and drawn the first goal of the game nice pass inside from 12 yeah there's the redirect right in front the goal gonna be scored by Meghan England yep
the assist on the play the pfaff in Schmidt and most of this game has been played down in a rapaho zone end and the one time they get a chance and again it comes right off of a corner you get a corner you get it in you keep put in playing Arapaho takes the early lead tough blow for liberty who had spent most of this first half in the offensive side of the field so that is a tough one as they fall behind one to nothing early in this contest bourgeois lifts it ahead it's gonna get through Campbell fair will play this excuse me that's Olivia Ruth sending it in for two Dubois and again coming out as Crowder with a big kick Lancers trying to put more pressure on but the Warriors again break
out of there forcing Liberty to come back on defense great job by Cape has taken that ball but there's gonna be a coal and it'll go back to the Warriors for the free hit the Warriors amber winter strum takes it down low that one's gonna go across the in line and it'll be Lancer Bowl well early on in this half Liberty had four shots on goal all saved by Crowder and he's Crowder would come out several times play and kick that ball out of play the goalies cannot cover the ball they have to keep it alive they have to kick it Crowder's done a good job of that and Arapaho whether that early storm by Liberty and then once they got their opportunity with a couple of corners they took the early lead got to
take advantage of those set pieces and they certainly did where with at two in a row and got the goal due to voix plays this one at the back of her stick it'll go back to Arapaho Liberty really trying to put some pressure on those free hits of the warriors warriors moving ahead they're trying to push it past that Liberty defense to get it to Megan England stolen back again Taylor sabato that's England who got the goal bourgeois comes away with it and he Schwab there now and hit it out of harm's way good job by Jordan Toller patty Schwab tries to advance the ball taken back and it's going to be a rapaho free hit right there it's just outside the 20-yard line boy Penny schwab had a good look she had Kate Kaitlyn
tabling streaking up the left side and just couldn't get that ball up and over the stick and there's a call right in front and the Lancers will be able to come out past the 20 and keep possession Schwab sends it forward that's a steal quickly comes Arapahoe was not touched in a great job as the Warriors Kaitlyn fan Schmidt came back and got that ball and again another call that will give the Warriors another free hit went off the foot a penny swab it wasn't inside the circle so free hit coming up for Arapaho amber winter Strom guarded there quickly who's with by Tessa Morse who's back in the game good to see that for the Lancers gets the call and Morse will set up here for the free hit I'll give it to Penny
Schwab Schwab who do a great job just sending that ball she's getting ready and does so right at the middle of the field but I wrap a hose there look out here comes Jennifer Schneider for liberty and Olivia Ruth is there as well Ruth now tries to play it to Schneider but it'll go out of Bounce you like what Liberty did right there is trying to change the field try to use the width of the field and so much of it was being clogged up here down the down the left side as Liberty is attacking and penny tried to put a ball to the middle it goes to the far side just a little too far but you like what Liberty tried to do just using the width of the field just like soccer and
hockey sometimes you want to reverse that field or reverse the ice in hockey and get to the open side here's a nice pass inside and edges gonna watch that one just go out of across the end line free hit coming up here for Liberty good look at the senior Madelyn boos wall bouche wanna Schwab and on the outside Morse tried to play it forward but it goes out of bounds actually that went off of the Warriors as Morse checked with the official on that one got the call penny Schwab now just across midfield and as you could see in that tight shot it went off of one of the Warriors feet but there was no advantage gained it came right back to Liberty came back to Schwab so the officials will put their hand up
as it's a foot but they'll just say play on if there's no advantage gained by the offending team good job defensively thereby an amber wennerström gets her stick down and stops the hit from Penny Schwab Schwab this time dribbles inside now she'll try and get by winners drum but winner Strom comes back up with it so here's amber winter strum trying to play it through the middle of that lancer defense looking ahead and look like peipus but look out the warriors keep it ahead and they will call it believe a foot off the foot of the Warriors and it comes back to the Lancers well early on in this game I thought Liberty had some pretty good energy and some good jump and now they're back in their own end they've been defending and when
you're defending you spend a lot more energy when you're when you're back there doing that and that last ball that went through it looked like Liberty could have played that several times and they weren't able here comes Olivia Ruth up the middle it's got dutiful ah whither tried to send it down low and they'll get a call off of the foot and it'll be a Lancer chance here as they come up with a free hit should be just outside the 20-yard line this is Kyle and McCullough with it McCullough plays it back jordan Toller the nice touch forward that's a great job there by Tessa Morse Morris brings it down towards the end line sends it in the middle Lancers are down there and so is Crowder she did a great job getting down the
butterfly position to make the save on that one great save by the goalie and it's gonna be a stick violation against Liberty let's take a look at it right here Morse gets the ball in look at all the white jerseys going to work Mackenzie do too vol with a couple of chances that were saved and there's the touch on the back of the stick by Kylie McCulloch but Lancers coming right back in right back in the Warriors come back at it though and the Lancers put pressure defense on but the Warriors will keep it like Liberty was on their heels there for a little bit but about the last minute they've they've shown a little more life they've gotten the ball down and had two shots on goal Jennifer Snyder can't handle it McCulloch and
she'll send it in but there's a call it was out of bounds it'll be warrior ball substitution for Liberty coming into the game number six Chiara Casimir comes into the game Casper's sophomore from rampart High School she will replace Olivia Ruth it looks like Ruth has a issue with her shin guard she's getting a new tape job here in the sidelines meanwhile the Lancers come back up Morse trying to win the battle and does so gets the call this will set up another free hit and Kazmir will take nope she'll give it up to Penny Schwab or the it like the way Liberty's pushing up look all their defenders even inside the 35 I'll try to control it went off of Liberty and out so it'll be warrior ball Kazmir couldn't quite handle it down
there inside good look at a few of the Lancers right there there's number six Kiara Casimir just came into the game there's dutiful walk number five Jennifer Snider number two in the Lancers really putting pressure on here is Tessa Morris again Oh couldn't handle the ball ran by it a little bit but she's still whacking and hacking at it as they like to say that's one of those fifty 50s Liberty couldn't come up with but well they're just intercepting so many passes and there's a stick violation against Liberty well it looked like a pretty good play from up here Tessa Morris had that on her forehand but the refs blew the whistle banishment now trying to get by Toller they'll get the call and Toller it's that one out of bounds just backing getting some
more help defensively earning yourself some time with 250 left here in the first half sometimes that's all you can do with it just get that ball out of play let your defense reset and again the Warriors coming back trying to get behind the Lance or defense and they're gonna call obstruction no they call obstruction against the Lancers and it'll be a rapaho warrior ball this one's pushed forward good job by McCullough to cut that one off again it comes inside Schwab tries to send it out she does so to Morris Morris hits it up not close to Kazmir intercepted by the Warriors and again amber winter struck with the free hit gets it to Darby Sherrod on the side try to get back to winter strip Schwab is their winner strim really trying to play
that ball now it's deep inside and a whistle and a veal answer ball we got a corner coming up actually they're gonna call obstruction here on on Liberty and that was a pretty good call I don't know which of the players they got it on but one of the white jerseys just turned and just created a screen right in front of the goaltender so the third corner of the game coming up for a rapaho the last time they had one they scored a goal on and we'll see if Liberty can get out and and do a little better job of defending this one amber Winter strum will insert the ball and here comes Arapaho fan Schmidt sends it inside kicked out by edge bourgeois they're trying to play it goes across the in line it'll
be Liberty ball good defense there by the Lancers really good job you have four players in the cage they all came running out they all picked up their man the ball came in on the goalie let your goalie kicked that one out of play and it ends up going back the other way for the Lancers and now I call against Liberty Arapaho has it they'll send it up into the field Kylie small plate that one and it comes back to McCulloch McCulloch sends it forward to do to Vadhu Dubois sending it even further forward and they're chasing it the ball towards Crowder Olivia Ruth and there we go the first corner for the Lancers and it all started with that long pass by McKenzie doodle-oo what a great job she had it on her floor
hand-turned sends it all the way down in and liberty will get a corner there first corner of the game now we're under 30 seconds left but the half cannot end on a corner so if it's a live corner even if the clock runs out they will continue playing until that play is over there's the insert bourgeois takes it gets it to Schwab Schwab sends it low and it goes in no goal the officials saying no goal a touched the back the heel of a stick down low no goal for the Lancers oh what a bad break there for Liberty it was a great shot that came in by penny Schwab take a look at his Schwab takes the shot Mackenzie do Dubois got the touch Olivia Ruth down there as well and you see the
official right away said oh it touched the back of the stick and that's the way the first half is going to end Arapahoe holds a one to nothing lead on the Liberty Lancers that's a half time we'll be back with more high school field hockey on 20 TV you welcome back inside district 20 stadium Brian German alongside Dave Toller the Arapaho warriors have a 1 to nothing lead over the Liberty Lancers in high school field hockey and as we went to the half the Lancers had their best chance penny Schwab hits the ball and the official you see him right there make the call he says no goal and he said that it went off the back of a lancer stick that's Crowder laying in the goal crease there but a very questionable call I
don't see that ball really hitting anything there possibly due to voix down low well and even if it did it hits the right side of the stick it looked good from here but the official blew that one dead and disallowed that goal so a rapaho still leads 1-0 and we're in action here in the second half this time Lancers moving from left to right and they'll try and keep the pressure on that warrior defense again Morse gets the ball penny Schwab can't handle it he went off the foot of a rapaho and they'll get a free hit here and that'll be Tessa Morse lining up for it horse back - Schwab Schwab who had that nice shot - in the half there this one's taken away by the Warriors they come back up the other
side Megan England who has the only goal in this game with all the answers keep the pressure on good play there by Malik ibises Liberty's defense is pushing way up typists just to the ground laid that stick down blocked it and send it back for liberty now they move it ahead look at this this ball on the run for a rapaho is Piper Rundell but she couldn't run that one down and soak Ibis will put it back into play for the Lancers Liberty had six shots on goal in that first half Arapaho had three the Warriors had three corners two liberties one and on one of those corners Arapaho got their only goal of this game Tessa Moore stood a great job pushing it forward here now cuts back she's gonna lift that one down
low gets by Crowder but just outside the goal a nice tried a great move there by Tessa Moore she brought it all the way up the field really was take a look at do de voir right here she just wanted to get a piece of that and she knew it she slams her fist down she was in a great position if she gets any piece of that and tips it it can go and had that ball gone in clean it wouldn't a counter it was outside the arc so one of the Lancers needed to get a touch on it doodle-oo was right there in a good spot just couldn't make contact Jennifer Schneider gets called this time for using the back of her stick warriors come back and now trying to move ahead Kapus comes
back defensively unable to stop that ball moving ahead Arapahoe now trying to get something going boo schwa plays it dude of Y now moving in ahead and great job I tabeling tabeling had ruth ahead and there's a good call tabling will keep it alive she'll come inside Olivia Ruth is right there and another call this time it'll be another corner for the Liberty Lancers what great teamwork from Liberty that's exactly what this coaching staff Jessie no Kowski that's exactly what they want to see pass pass pass get it in the circle yet draw foul now we'll see if the Lancers can capitalize inserting here will be Jennifer Snyder Snyder lots to choose from they'll come out the bourgeois bourgeois stops it's a - wobb Schwab tries to get it inside and a call is made
and the Warriors take the ball well I know those are opportunities you can't let those get away you'd like you'd like to get a little bit more activity in front of Crowder in front of that a wrap a hole goal and right away a foul called on Liberty and that goes the other way but another foul here on the Warriors and comes right back compass tries to play it inside was looking for tasty Davis again the Lancers keeping the pressure on Tessa Morris has been really impressive today she's been all over the ball and here we go again with a corner another call is made and the Lancers will get another chance at it looks like Schneider's coming out this time and Liberty's gonna talk about the attack here so typically on these plays it's
the players that get together they do have some set plays that they want to call that the players can do that on their own they make the call in the field and we'll see what they do here's the insert bouche wasps sends it back the other side this time Morse sending it inside they're in there Olivia Ruth is right there there's dutiful wah still playing it and they're gonna call it back he'll hit for the Lancers a little bit more activity off of that one that was a nice play another one that's gonna be a violation we weren't sure which way it was gonna go I was I was with you Brian I thought it was going back the other way but Liberty gets another corner Schneider will take it booyah stop this time she'll
send it down low Ruth is there and again another corner for the Lancers this kind of a situation that happened in the first half where Arapahoe got the goal they had two straight corners the third straight one for the Lancers we'll see if they can't capitalize yep just got to keep keep at it keep at it keep it in and as many chances as you can it moved over now this time they send it well outside booyah sends it down low there's a great opportunity but it goes up and out off of Jennifer Schneider that's a set play that Liberty will run we'll take a look at it here comes booze wall with the drive comes right off the goalie and the inserter is Schneider who just steps in for a rebound and that redirect
it looked like it might have went up and over the top or just wide of the cage there's a good look at the freshman Jennifer Schneider who just had a good look at the cajon eve Murray for the Warriors really made a great play getting a stick on that ball and Schneider was trying to send it home sunanda Lancers get it back again Schwab to Kapus back to Schwab Schwab will send it down low looking for a player dude of wise there and again the warrior defense is right there to stop any Lancer opportunities and they get the call on the ball back well you got a feel that Liberty keeps getting these opportunities these chances down low eventually they're gonna get something to go in you just have to keep keep going at it
sometimes you got to get it a little lucky down there - Schneider sends it inside Duda for I can't handle that one no one's did warriors come back having a tough time handle it there is winter Strom back they come Schneider can't handle it good defense by Jennifer Schneider and arapaho still trying to move that ball forward rapaho did a great job in the first half and they're few opportunities they have they're the only team to get a goal so far today penny Schwab trying to play it back at a rapid right there this time it comes back bourgeois is there trying to dribble it and just keep possession there's a whistle and it'll lead Lancer ball did a really nice job of just running some time off and waiting for her defenders to get
back behind her she was the last line of defense back there just eaten up a little time she ends up winning that ball and she sends the drive up the ball will go over to Arapahoe it went high off of Taylor sabato and that gives the ball back to the Warriors when a drive like that gets up that high gets up above the knee into the waste area they'll call it dangerous play and that's what they call there that's why the Warriors have the ball when you're strong got it back Lancers trying to play it ruth comes away with it and Schwab will play it for the Lancers they'll move it ahead due to fois couldn't quite handle that one out of bounds and over to the Warriors so winner Strom again will take it
the junior for the Warriors nice stop by Penny Schwab and that's a dangerous play again we just saw one going the other way that ball on a drive that gets up that high they'll blow that one dead now pushed forward got a run on that ball with some speed on the outside look at Tessa Morris coming in JC Davis gets it back to Morse Morse it's been doing most of the damage for liberty on offense she gets that ball back right on the in line now pushes it out sends it inside look out Ruth's shock just off the side of the post and out and Wow look at Crowder the the goaltender for a rapaho she knows she missed that one there's a good look at it right there just a little spinorama in tight
by Olivia Ruth and it goes wide but how about the speed of Tessa Morris on that ball that was sent down deep to an area let your teammates run to it boy can she run she she outran everybody to that ball got it in deep and led to a good scoring chance there for Olivia Ruth warriors now trying to get it out of there and can't do so this comes back with it doesn't get enough on the ball but due to why's there do devoirs relentless defensively trying to get that ball back for the Lancers and almost has it here does so but they're gonna call something against the Lancers yeah they call the push that time on on McKenzie dude of law and she'll get that call she's an ice hockey player so she's
used to going in and throwing her body around and you can't do that in field hockey Schwab loses this one the Warriors come back coming down to the final 20 minutes of regulation time Schwab since that one out of bounds we talked about this Liberty team just in its third year of having the program it started in 2015 this is a team that last year they were the number one overall academic team in the state they had a team GPA over 4.0 this season they're right in that same area three point nine they're up for consideration for that academic all-state team so you've got some girls that devote a lot of time to this sport but they're getting it done in the classroom as well that's the awesome news if you don't know district 20
one of the best school districts in Colorado Springs how some of these student athletes the amount of time they devote to practice to weights to to watch and film and everything else and they can still go and carrying a 4.0 you don't get a whole lot better than that and that's over a team of about 26 players they have so they're they're getting it done in the classroom and you can't say that it's they're doing it because maybe their school is easy because all these ladies are all different schools right all six are represented on this one team look at Tessa Morris again the speed on the outside trying to steal that ball and she does get the call the Lancers will take it right there well the coaching staff loved that one the the
girls on the bench cheering them on and that that's what they want to see here's a good look at at Tessa Morris one of the few times she's been still tonight yeah she's from our Academy High School sends it inside looking for do Dubois Ruth stops it she'll get it inside and just beyond the goal oh man Olivia Ruth with another shot that just just goes wide you got to believe if you keep throwing stuff to the net good things are gonna happen eventually but well Olivia Ruth has had a couple of good looks we'll see right in here again her back to the net sends it just wide had the goalie beat on the play got underneath her but goes out of bounds Savannah Crowder talked to some of her defenders after that one
Schneider gets the call let me give it to Penny Schwab Schwab will play this one Snyder inside stopped in there by winter stroke and he'll hit by Schneider keeps her rapaho with the ball Benny Schwab steals the back taken right back away from her by sabato but here comes Kapus sending it in tell you wonderful answers getting on that left side look out for this lady Tessa Morris here she goes dribbling it up the field she could be inside the circle now turns and sends it and I believe it went off of and out of bounds it did it just came off of the stick and well what a nice job she did have you taught you don't want to dribble too much but she just passed it to herself just kept pushing it forward
after got it down on the goal line honest he took that shot he just had so much spin it went out of bounds and now Kyler McCullough comes back in for Kaitlyn tabling McCullough from Pine Creek High School look out here comes the Warriors good job there by cactus to push that one stop that one Kaitlyn fan Schmidt was running right down the middle of the field for Arapaho that we are gonna get another corner for Arapaho right there well this is how rapaho splayed it's it's a little bit of a rope-a-dope it just seems like they're taking the best punches that Liberty has and then when they get a chance they get it in right away they get a corner and they will get their fourth corner of the game their first of this
second half so KY pish Schwab Morse and of course bourgeois gonna play defensively on this one there comes the insert look out for the Warriors good job defensively stopping that ball and a good steal by Kapus she sends it forward looking for Schneider Schneider does a good job keeping that ball she's got some room to work with sending it forward for du Dubois but back to offensively for the Warriors and doing a good job there was Caitlyn Frenchman excuse me that was Abby Chalmers now again Lancers will have to go back and I'm sure that coach Ashley Loftus is loving this because when they when the Warriors have possession it's great cuz you have a one to nothing lead Lancers back on their heels right now I sit there by JC Davis Schwab has it
she'll send it up the field looking for do Dubois and again off the foot or yours playing it forward there's Kapus another whistle that one got over the over the sidelines and typists was trying to play that she got the last poke in there that knocked it out of play so warriors will take possession they'll be just fine with this with a 1-0 lead approaching 15 minutes left in this one Taylor sabato sends it down low that's Lucy Fleming Fleming in sabato playing a little two-man game over there they get the call in another free hit you inside the calls we're gonna have another corner yeah there must have been an obstruction away from the ball we didn't see it we were watching the ball here on the near side the ball I don't believe
was even in the arc but they called the corner coming up here for a rapaho Lancers played well defensively last time on this and for Arapaho that's Brook Tillman sending it in or a pehoe trying to get it going and a whistle and back to Liberty and a good stop by the Lancers it really was and I tell you what that that takes a lot of courage when you're running right at somebody with no padding on and they're swinging a stick at you Tessa Morris got in there broke that one up and Lancers had it but the Warriors will take control in the midfield if the Warriors are keeping the Lancers on their heels right now here in the second half Lancers down by a goal need to get something going push it forward Tessa
Morse it sit on the side to McCulloch McCulloch tried to play it and there's a call and we'll go back to the Warriors when Liberty's been successful in this game gaming the ball if they've been jumping them defensively they've been putting pressure on the Warriors and that's why they get their steals and start to move the ball back to their side of the field and they've done it with those long passes and you saw over on the far side just too much dribbling by Liberty they just ran right in to traffic and sometimes and you can talk about it across all sports basketball football the way you beat a trap is don't try to beat the trap make the passes that go around if they lit a rapaho get in and trap them inside Olivia
Ruth tries to get it again this ball is sent wide and out by McCullough Kylie McCullough who's from Pine Creek High School trying to get all the district 20 schools mentioned at least once the free hit by rapaho again tough defense as it went by Snyder the Warriors will keep it there's Tessa Morris coming back the other way she'll send this one to the center tasty Davis couldn't handle it take him back by Arapahoe there's bourgeois who's moved up further up the field she sends it up to Schwab Schwab with a nice play to keep control now to Schneider on the side she's naughty there's that to touch passing we were talking about earlier in the game with stopped it and then send it on to a teammate that was Ruth Nell Schwab has it
and that's a tough pass terrorism's intercepted by Fleming and the Warriors will come back with the ball 1225 now left second half wrap up 1-nothing long as you're saying Brian number 24 Madeline booze was really pushed up to the midfield coach Jesse Noor Kowski changed up the formation a little bit they've moved bushwa who started out as the sinner D she's playing more mid right now Jordan Toller who was the left D has slid back to playing the center D spots a little rotation trying to get boost wash she's got a big hit she's got a great Drive and they're trying to move her a little bit closer up try to make use of that big shot she has Snyder trying to get the ball back here and does get the call so the Lancers
now with a big hit by Kapus I just tries to stop that one here's bourgeois sends it forward taken away by foreigner Strom and back by bourgeois and a good job running into the ball there there's some McCullough who goes down and gets the call a little shove from behind by Arapaho and here come the Lancers Schwab sending it over to Morris Morris she's done this all night long dribbling down the side and gets the call good job offensively just keeping the pressure on the Warriors and more sets it up again this time on the outside of McCullough try to get it in your swab swab down-low shot Oh block there by Crowder and look at dude of hua working hard against Crowder down low just trying to get contact with the ball but Crowder
makes the save we'll take a look at it right here penny Schwab getting that ball in there's a Livia Ruth with the first shot it's saved there's McKenzie dude while going to working I tell you what she's one of the smaller people on the field she doesn't back down from anybody she's in there she's digging trying to get anything to work and a corner coming up for the Lancers the corner Schneider gets it to pooja pooja back on the side this is Morse more sending it in Ruth can't get a handle on it and it goes back to the Warriors big stop there by Arapaho it really was good flurry bye-bye Liberty had a couple of chances ended up with a corner but I'll see if they can get a get a turnover here in
the midfield so we come up to the 10-minute mark we played two-thirds of the second half 5/6 of the game in regulation at least the Lancers should get a goal we would go to a 10-minute overtime Golden Goal Warriors coming forward look at the Lancers back defensively nice job by McCullough back there I'll move it forward back they come again the Cape miss is back there with Toller and Schwab and they get it out to four Schwab bourgeois nice move turning on that ball and she sends it up the field look at it move that's the hit you were talking about the bourgeois can get to and here's do to walk Lancers quickly changed the field there with a big hit by bourgeois but there's a call that goes back to the Warriors up the
side comes Lucy Fleming Fleming the sabato big hit here look out another player but you cannot handle it down on the inline Lexi Lyons and it goes out of bounds and will go over to Liberty and Liberty will take a timeout here 858 left in the second down 1-0 the Lancers will have the ball they'll have the free hit back in their own end and coach Jesse Nakao skete Erin brill her assistant she wants to bring him together and and let's set this up the Lancers have had some opportunities there's no doubt about that they've had some shots they just haven't gotten a whole lot of luck down low and these coaches you just got to keep swinging and get balls into the circle they've had five corners in this half they haven't capitalized they
they just got to keep swinging at it and I saw Caitlin tabling took her jacket off looks like she's gonna come back into the game right there and your screen number 13 she was talking pretty animatedly to doodle-oo just trying to maybe keep her you know keep her mind up keep her in the game as a senior here playing her last game she's from do tuvo Mackenzie do Dubois 14 shots this year ten of them on goal she's got two goals in the one game winning goal against guess who Arapahoe the last time she played discovery Canyon is where she calls home but of course she's wearing the Liberty Lancer red and blue today but very interesting for for all of these players when they all come together you can see so many different leather
jackets all from different schools you've got some pine creek you've got some Air Academy of course Liberty DCC one from TCA is Penny Schwab that that started with this program as a freshman as well there we talked about the two seniors there's eight juniors on this team that they were freshmen when this program started so you see this program progressing two wins two years ago two wins last season three wins this season and and you know you see as this program goes if all of those eight juniors can come back and stay with this program it's going in the right direction there's no doubt there's a good look at a couple of the Warriors for Arapaho amber winter Sturm we've called her name a lot tonight evelyn Hollenback is in the game number twenty-one there
for a wrap a home and here you go let's see what the Lancers do koechner Kowski may have drawn up something here probably just definitely wants to keep the pressure on as borsch well it takes a big swing Schwab trying to regain the ball doesn't get it they give it to Arapaho she hit it with the heel again nice job by Schwab there defensively though to get that ball back sends it on the side Schneider can't handle it goes out of bounds and back over to Arapaho you know and some of that timeout could have very well been to give your girls of rest they've been running up and down for for 40 minutes you got the same girls out there for the final 10 min to push give him a little bit of a
rest before they close this one out inside played by Bourjois again a heel hit bourgeois trying to change the field again stop there by the Warriors quick hit here up to Schwab Mike APIs Schwab again good job cutting that ball off and getting it to Schneider pretty sure pushing it forward to do - what do Devon in the middle of the field played forward by Davis Davis has Ruth running down the middle Ruth will stop it send it and it gets through looking inside a nice job by tabeling she had a shot inside and it goes wide well how quick they can flip the field when they make passes and they don't dribble Kaitlyn tabling three goals in that win it that's Smoky Hill again she's only played up but forward for about the last
five or six games but she had a pretty good look right there and the Lancers with a free hit Schwab takes it comes on the side gets it to Schneider Snyder deed up and they were gonna give that one back to the Warriors this one's knocked out of bounds by Kapus the Warriors quickly moving it back up the field Lancer coaches said get back as winter storm takes the free hit Schwab trying to play it right there to keep us type us now and they're gonna call it obstruction and give it back to Arapaho so winter storm will have to run this one back well both of these teams have struggled to score goals this season so sometimes you get that early one and we'll see if a rapaho can make that one goal stand
up off the heel there back the Lancers there's a ball forward to do de Foix nice stop running on as a Ruth and tabeling Ruth hits it right to tabeling tabling keeps it she'll dribble it forward play it inside the circle Ruth was there almost stopped by Davis and he Schwab is gonna run onto this one Schwab has Morris on the side tried to get it to her now more stops Tessa Morris keeping that ball and they'll get the free hit again she comes back outside of the 25-yard line let's see if the Lancers can get something going here as we're inside six minutes winter storm plays it right on the sidelines great job over there by fan Schmitt to keep that ball alive and then gets the call back to Liberty moving up at
the ball goes back to the Warriors again I sit there by Bourjois it's gonna come inside Crowder's there look at dutiful ah trying to play it and what a great job there by McKenzie do two voix trying to get to that ball but Crowder kept it from going it well how about that hustle trying to play it and maybe even trying to draw a foul on the goalie but boy McKenzie do to Vlad great hustle doing everything she can to keep that ball in play five minutes now to play for the Lancers in need to get that equalizer Schneider trying to play it forward and you could see the Warriors have really packed it in back defensively now just their three forwards playing up and winter strum has been taking just about every free hit
she seems to have the biggest Club for the Warriors and as I say that she doesn't take this one they try to get it to winners from here and she sends it this time Kapus playing that ball in midair taken away good job there by Lexi Lyons and there's England who has the only goal of this game playing itself in the middle of an schmidt who has the assist on that goal and here's winter strim sending it it's deep and it goes out of bounds the jaw by Haley edge just watching that one go and the Lancers will take possession of the ball but inside four minutes now Liberty hustling as fast as they can Nellie you see with the team with the lead Arapahoe taking a little bit of time when they had their
free hits liberties to get going bourgeois sends it up Davis trying to play it and a good job like guess who on the outside Tessa Morse dribbles it up all the way up the flank warriors surrounding her and she keeps possession of that ball you get the foul called and Tessa Morris will take the free hit sending it down low for tabling Caitlin can't quite get it but Tessa more steps in front again and another foul and Lancers keep it going at this time it's a football and it comes out to the Warriors when Madeline boos wall was in a great spot right there to spin and send a shot on net and instead that ball got in on her foot tabling plants off here comes back out to Morris Morris tried to go back
to tabling with it she'll have to pick it up and come towards midfield penny Schwab now turns it inside and you can just see the Warriors just playing all those passing lanes and now a quick play forward bourgeois running back and here comes Arapaho looking for a second goal of game that's England and a good job by Bourjois but they're gonna call a corner wow what a great job by England is she broke free for Arapaho and earns a corner let's take a look at it right there Madeline bushwalk getting back in and she had to try to do something you don't want to get a break away in on your goalie but when you're trailing 1-0 and you push everybody up across the midfield even inside of the 40 sometimes you get beat with
one deep and that's what happened here Arapaho will get a corner out of this junior amber Wennerstrom will take this on the insert Warriors couldn't quite stop the ball good job by penny Schwab come out of there warriors trying to keep playing it that skype is trying to play good defense inside war you're still keeping the heat on winter strim right there and a goal and arapaho makes it to to nothing as the Warriors just kept getting their sticks on that ball and I believe it may have been England again for his second goal of the game yeah let's take a look at it here and see that's England 14 from three so England gets the goal Lexi Lyons gets the assist on the play and arapaho goes up 2-0 looking for their first win
ever over Liberty the Lancers of won their first three meetings Lancers beat the Warriors earlier this season 1-0 up in Denver but right now wrap a hole with 1:40 left in this one up to zero it's pretty tough to come from two goals down here but we could see the Lancers have been quick on offense today we'll see if they can't come up with something there's a free ball move it down tessa morse couldn't handle that one but they will get again the free hit there's Tessa Morse looks over the offense gets to move it ahead in another five yards she'll look send it inside doodle-oo was down there looking but another foul inside against Liberty and the Warriors will get the ball and they will take their time with this one Tessa Morris has
been all over the place for the Lancers and she comes up with it on the outside dribbling she does a great job and here comes the ball inside doodle-oo trying to get control of it she's right there with it and another foul called against the Lancers well it seems like every time there's a ball in the circle there's a battle for it that call goes against the Lancers and that's that's tough when you're trying to come from behind certainly is Lancers had a goal disallowed at the end of the first half and now are down two to nothing two Arapahos we come to the final 20 seconds Benny Schwab trying to run onto that ball as the Lancers drastically trying to gain control but Arapaho gets the free hit 10 seconds and counting now when
a Sherm's furnace send this one stopped inside by the Lancers 2-1 and that will do it with the final hit for Arapaho and the Warriors rushed the field they are going after their goaltender Savannah Crowder and a big win and the shutout for Arapaho as they beat Liberty as you mentioned for the very first time yeah and a tough one here on senior night for this Liberty team again a team that's played very well the second half of the season they've had some good games down the stretch their two seniors Mackenzie du de Foix Madeleine boo ha playing their final home game and you know they wanted a better result out of this one they certainly had their chances as the game went on but credit Arapahoe when they had their opportunities they cashed in
for the 2-0 win the warriors moved to 4 9 and 2 on the season the Lancers closed out at 310 and 2 but as you mentioned 3 wins their best season so far in their 3 years of this program and koechner Kowski doing a great job yeah it really is and really trying to build a program from the grassroots level as well these girls like we said they've never played before they're learning the skills of the game they're improving as they go along but this this one's gonna sting um This Is It this is one that that they thought they could get this is one they probably should have got but they didn't get any bounces and arapaho did tonight shout out to our crew tonight Rob Parrish Tim Sarah Torrey Mike Beier him on
the cameras Adam Drake running the show and a Parker doing the replay machine for my partner Dave Toller I'm Brian German we hope you enjoyed watching this 20 TV program that'll do it from district 20 Stadium the Arapaho warriors win it to new nothing we'll see you next time on 20 TV you
