001hello everyone and welcome inside Liberty High School where the Liberty Lancers are playing hosted the Doherty Spartans in Colorado Springs Metro League volleyball we are currently having a bit of a delay because these two teams like to play each other so much the C squad game went three sets this game just a set in and the Spartans took that one 26 24 in the JV game Brian German alongside Dave Diller and Dave I'm expecting these two two clubs to be tight probably all night long well they should be and you can see from from the bottom up from the CC squad level we saw that game the JV game 2624 doesn't get a whole lot closer than that one so we're expecting a great varsity game once that one gets going but right now we
002are waiting for that because the JV is just in two set number two so we'll keep the cameras on but we're gonna be quiet and we'll be back for the start of the varsity game when that happens thanks you're watching xx TV you good evening and welcome inside Liberty High School in Colorado Springs tonight we're gonna have some 5a volleyball action Colorado Springs Metro League action the Doherty Spartans invading Liberty to take on the Lancers good evening my name is Brian German I'm alongside Dave Toller for this one and Dave this is a pretty even matchup if you look at it on paper it really is Brian you look at the record to start with Doherty comes in eight and four overall Liberty of course eight and six very early on and this Colorado Springs
003Metro League season the Lancers are one - no comment coming off a win over Coronado earlier in the week and you look at the slate there the Lancers ahead in almost every statistical category hitting percentage better at 195 averaging seven aces per game doubling up Doherty in blocks almost nine per game for the Lancers averaging 29 kills per game the digs about the only thing that are even about 39 per game for each team it certainly looks like the Doherty Spartans will have their hands full the Spartans coming in here and they their coach gave us some keys to this game saying that they have to play to the best of their ability but mostly they want to try and be a team a cohesive unit yeah and they will have to do that they've
004got they're going up against the Liberty team that's got eight seniors they've got great chemistry so both of these teams it should be a great battle tonight yeah and on the Liberty side coach Jamie Adams told us she is really proud of these these eight seniors and that's that's a heavy senior Laden team so you'd expect them to be pretty good and they feel like they will be they got off to a great start earlier in this week they opened up against Coronado a five-set victory for liberty so they are off to a good start in league play we'll see how they do in league game number two we'll come back and have it for you right after we take a break you're watching Colorado Springs Metro League volleyball on 20 TV you welcome back
005inside Liberty high school Brian German alongside Dave Toller and the team's being announced here at Liberty first the Doherty Spartans and while we do it we can set the lineups for you as well for the Doherty Spartans the starting six will be hope Hines Abbi Hutchins Allison Wolfe Lauren Andrus Hannah Nachtigal and Leilani Washington and of course in libero will be Zoe Olson for the Liberty Lancers it'll be Carina Florrick Caitlin makhmour Sasha Elsner Ali Rice Sophie Lewis and burthen Romero Keita Ellesmere I almost mentioned will be Philip arrow so David this we saw the numbers early on it looks like Liberty may have an edge in several statistical categories but until you get on the court that's what that's when it really matters Liberty has already had a conference game they played a Metro
006League game and want it over Coronado as you mentioned in five sets Jordy this is their first conference matchup show wonder if there's gonna be extra nerves who knows well there could be Brian and you know both of these teams you want to get off to a great start when you start off to a conference season we talked about that Liberty win on Tuesday night they beat Coronado what a great win that was for Amy Adams in this program prior to that game they had lost five straight games and 10 of the last 11 to Coronado but on Tuesday night they won a five Center went back and forth that was a big conference win for that Liberty team Doherty yet to play in conference but this has been a good series between these two
007teams they have a long history against each other and if my memory serves me correctly that may be the one and only Liberty win over Coronado in league play was you know outside of league play yes yeah a tournament so that's it that's a great win they've got to be feeling pretty good about themselves Dorothy they've been for a while they haven't played since since last week so we'll see how they react to to have it a little bit of time off a little bit more practice time but not having that game experience since a week ago and just watching the team's warmup I think impressively on the Liberty side definitely watching Karina flora just warm up out there she can sky and hit it hard she can they have got some hitters on this
008team and when you look at the the stats we'll talk about that a little more throughout the broadcast but the ball was very well distributed among this Liberty team you look at Karina Florence you look at the way that Sasha Elsner has been hitting the ball their leader their leader in kills his Caitlin has a bunch of kills so the game goes on and see how well they can distribute the ball as far as Doherty is concerned just a few of the names Leilani Washington of course her sister went to Penn State is now playing a European volleyball getting paid for it and Leilani Washington that's Haley Washington who's playing pro ball now and it'll be interesting to see to watch her play I haven't seen her play coming from those good bloodlines Haley Washington
009and all-american at Penn State not just an all-american on the volleyball court was an academic all-american as well was the Colorado Player of the Year 2012 that she led the Dority Spartans for the state title that season and that was back when miss dougherty team they were flying high at one point but since that 2012 season they have yet to have a winning record five straight years while four not counting this one that they haven't had a winning season so they're looking to get back to that that place that they once were before one of the best teams in the state and have a winning season right now yes they do however they have yet to play a conference game there's a good look at Amy Adams Liberty Lancers one last hurrah and we'll get
010it going here [Music] always interesting when you play that first conference game you know if you bring a different level do you bring it with you and we'll have to see if the Spartans can be ready for that and if the Lancers feel good about themselves here at home in that first conference game well as we talked a little bit in the pregame show about those stats I mean all the stats had favored this Liberty team that kills the blocks the assists that digs everything was in favor of Liberty but they are this season the teams that they played the common opponents they have been dead even both of these teams have beat Vista Ridge this season both have lost two air Academy and the one common opponent they split with Doherty beat Cheyenne Mountain
011three-to-one Liberty however lost to Cheyenne Mountain three-to-one so if there is a difference in the way the stats slide one way the common opponents the other way Brian I think we're gonna see a great one tonight should be fun Allison wolf one of the two captains on this Dougherty team will is set to serve this and here we go top play on the back line but the liberties keep it alive Florrick hits it from them back and it is out and it's the first point for the Spartans well it all started with the serve - great job by Allison wolf for getting that ball deep have had some top spin on it she's the tea captain of this Dougherty team and she gets him off to a good start she's good server serves in a
01291 percent clip rice sets it up they bring it back over over the block and a nice dig right there by Florrick get out there saying it's touched note Lancers thought it was touched the official says no Spartans get the point that was Sasha Alexander coming in we'll take a good look at it right here here's the set there Ellsworth coming yeah didn't look like it was touched from here looked like it went out clean so wolf continues to serve the overpass by Florrick rice tips it over so the Spartans get a chance and again the Lancer just said up nice bump so right there - Sasha Elsner but a great job with the bump served by rice yeah really was put it put it in a great spot for Sasha here we talked about
013her a little bit watched in warmups she can really attack that ball and she did so right there Holly rice now to serve sends it over Daugherty will attack from the back and a nice shot the great job by Lauren Andrus to put that one home let's look at it again yeah just great placement by she took a quick look it went around the block and just found a hole in the middle of the Lancer defense and she'll go back to serve now Andres way behind the line jump serve across that one's out by Sasha ELLs and back into the game you saw Keita Elsner the sisters the Elsner sisters playing for the Lancers find themselves down early four to one musashi over on the right side this time she got the kill from the
014left side swings around to the right and hits it out nice serve this time Liberty could stay in system get it right to the center a block right there by Leilani Washington Kaitlin makhmour a little too timid getting that one over there did he get the ball she wanted she had to wait she was a little off-balance and when you get off balance against a blocker like Leilani Washington that's not a good thing she sets it down and we have a timeout on the floor as Doherty gets out to a quick five 2-1 lead Amy Adams wanted to talk to her team real quick there the serving by Doherty so far has been pretty good getting getting Liberty kind of out of system not ready they're not able to set up anything offensively they're just
015trying to get the ball back across the net there's a good look at coach Aaron stone talking to the Spartans she's saying keep doing what you're doing they're doing a great job of mixing it up it all starts with the serve like you said Brian but they they've scored with an attack from the back row they've scored with an attack from the right side they squirted the block from the middle they're getting their points in a lot of different ways but it all starts with the servant and a great one on the last one by Lauren Andrus and she will take the ball that head way back behind the line and she's she's almost outside the gym comes running in from the parking lot with a jump serve nice art circuit Elsner gets it there's
016a nice job beating the block by Brooklyn Romero for her first kill of the game yeah a nice job by Brooklyn Romero 5th on this team she's got 46 kills on the season comes in from the outside and look at the angle what a great shot right there are photographers at 20 TV give you a good look right between the block larry hinking down there doing the good job for is Aaron McDonald in the game for the Lancers with rockets serve across the net but right back at you comes hope Hines and she gets the kill for the winner six to two spartans leads this Spartan team he kills that was number 53 on the season for the senior and when she got up high sends it right down the double block was set up
017by Liberty but hope Hines was having nothing to do with that and the spartans go up by 4 so the Libero to serve Zoe Olson good Hart serving by the Spartans so far Elsner sets of Florrick and a good job right down the line with the kill a nice job by Karina Florrick and just find that a good spot we'll take a look at it right down the line inside the block coming right at you it would have been in even had it not been played good job by Karina flora Elsinore with the serve set up Center blocked right away and the Lancers will reset again flora but again the Spartans are there get it back to Heinz Heinz blocked at the net great job give it to Sophie Lewis on the block nice job
018by Sophie Lewis she blocked the one before the Spartans were able to keep it up at this time slides over from the you know had the double blocks set up Sophie Lewis leads the slippery team leads the league in blocks and got one there spartans now set it up they just get a tip over so it's a free ball for the Lancers get it to Lewis in the middle can't get it to go Hines sends it long the Lancers gonna play it anyway attack in the back very close it look close to being and it is it's called in Lancers get the point and then nice play by Aaron McDonald from the back row really was again finding a spot and boy he saw that ball we had a great look at it from right
019here Brian it looked like it was in her telling me it was in it was in another over past Spartans at the play at a free ball for the Lancers set up on the outside nice swing by Romero Spartans come back in a big winner right there by Allison wolf or excuse me that was number nine Hanna knack to go yeah nice job here by knack to go you can see the the back set she goes up and Liberty late getting that block set up Sophie Lewis a little late getting over to the middle made it easy on Mac to go Spartans with a two-point lead at 75 Florrick from the back spartans set it up to hines again she'll go down the line that one's out seven to six very close game can hotly
020contested so far it's good look at Hines and the substitutions for liberty to players coming in Sammy peachy will come in as well as can either rusty rusta Novik say that one a few times fast threw me off Sammy beat you with the serve nice serve the overpass the Lancers will play it PG sets up Sophie Lewis call that in when you hit the person with the flag they're gonna they're gonna call in I want a nice quick to the middle by Sophie Lewis she scored a point with the block earlier and that time gets the kill great serve it all started with Sammy pichi pichi again again almost over pass by the Spartans they'll play it nice job again by peachy setting up the Lewis Spartans having a tough time they just send it
021over and there's a double hit give it to the Lancers the double hit called against Zoe Olson of the Spartans on the Lancers set in the middle they're liking what they're seen in the middle Sophie Lewis has scored three points this was six to one at one point Dougherty it's now 8 to 7 Liberty it's interesting look you gave me there my friend peachie serve unfortunately into the net we're tied at eight but the Lancers have clawed right back into this one I think was a point you were trying to make those numbers are difficult karlie Redd comes out Lauren Andrus back in and hope Ines to serve go into that back corner peachie sets it up and it's get out by Erin McDonald to Huff when you when you're doing that back row attack
022it's very hard to get an angle down over the net it really is a spin she went after it aggressively - and she got a good hit on it which looked too much hines again sends it the Lancers peachie can't play it it's gonna be the Spartans three points in a row now 10:8 like both of these teams they're having trouble handling each other serves whoever's whoever's got the ball they're they're SCORM and they're giving the other team problems and unfortunately that's a service error against the Spartans right there but you're right and that's you know service errors happen when you're being aggressive with you serve and Heinz went to that same corner this time this time the Lancers saw that it was going to be out and ktd Moreno in diserve for the Lancers
023set up the center and a double hit as a B Hutchins gets the kill and Keita Elsner knew it right away as soon as that ball went up in the air the first place she looked was to the down referee he blew his whistle she knew she she didn't quite play that one just right Abby Hutchins there's a long one back Sammy peachy back row attack and that one's in great job there by ktd Moreno one of the team captains for the Lancers it really was we were just talking about that back row attack but she got good elevation when you get on top of the ball with that topspin a great angle to hit it down so be Lewis to serve Hynes plays it well setup the outside hit and it's pretty much a
024free ball for the Lancers Sophie Lewis sets it up nice tip play Spartans can't keep it alive in a great play right there by Kaneda Ruston Ovid well what great hands and quick hints that ball was in an awful tough spot and she was facing the double block Leilani Washington was there for glory but able to just tip it over the top great hands by wrist Ruth the Novick Lewis's serve set it up on the outside nice dig by B Marino well answers on the outside Sophie Elsner give her a points 1211 close game as we expect it as there's a good look at it right off of the block and let's that's a lot of power coming right at you right through the double blocking Sasha Ellsbury with the point 1211 Lancers [Music] on
025the outside and that one is out again the Lancers have built a two-point lead that's at largest lead of this first set that's a tough angle forehand and act ago for Dougherty those trying to go completely cross-court and hit it out so Lewis again with the serve just across the net nice dig by the Spartans getting on the outside blocked in give the Lancers another point and that again rusty Novick on the side rusty Novik and Caitlin more set to double up and well I think they each got an arm on if they were set up nice tight blocked to the middle and a point for liberty and this time it's the Spartans that want a timeout as the Lancers have taken a 14 to 11 lead there's a good look at Amy Adams talking
026to her team over there she's got to be much happier than she was earlier in the game when she called timeout absolutely she took a timeout it was five to one and then Dougherty came out got the next point it was six to one but since then Liberty's done a great job and again they're moving the ball around Sophie Lewis has been dominant in the middle two kills and one block and then the double block that was set up by makhmour getting a piece of that one good look at the Spartans huddle there Sophie Lewis is ready to serve get our officials back in place and you'll see if the Lancers can build on this three-point lead [Music] Spartans setting up Leilani Washington right in the center first time they've really set her up she
027had a point earlier on a block well it was a great pass by Zoe Olson that's where it started these teams have have struggled with those serve receives but when you get a good pass you have a chance to get a kill dee Moreno sets up peachy's rusta Novik that was a beautiful play right there and again you talk about the pass dee Moreno had a great time on there she really did and that's that's where it starts we saw it on one side with Doherty Liberty comes back does the exact same thing they said hey we can make a good pass we can make a set we can get a kill out of it as well and Liberty goes up by four alie rice back to serve she's serving in an 88% clip and
028the officials is there a substitution issue down officials checking with the scores table right here trying to see if there was a substitution issue with the lancers I believe that checking it right now the book the book talk could be the official and the officials even pointing at the book good look at it right there we could hear Aaron's telling the coach authorities she recognized it she came over brought it at the tenth the attention of the official and the official book and taking a look at Liberty's team there's me that is not Liberty's team that's Liberty amy adams doesn't seem to be too worried about it he's wondering though right you're all wondering just like us I believe you know the down officials should have should have recognized it right away there must be
029a discrepancy between that and the book so here we go it's like we're back here and we're ready so they just have to make sure who's in the game make sure the book has it right in the officials have it right and they do now no change to your score Liberty by three soap on the outside Nachtigal hits that one home Hannah the senior gets a kill on the front row we couldn't look at it right there not to go going up hits it right off of the block and the last time we saw him with more in the middle she got the block Ian that time it goes off the block and a point for net to go her second kill in this game karlie Redd with a nice serve Keita Elsner back they'll
030set that up in the middle for makhmour spartans handle it again rice this time sets it up on the outside spartans again good for it Leilani Washington Lancers can't get it over in three Amy Addison's that's okay that's a good play Leilani Washington with another kill she gets her second one and liberty was trying to battle that one any way they could I just couldn't keep it alive long enough and get it over the net wanna serve right there a little bit of luck of the draw karlie Redd serves it through the net and down the ACE for karlie Redd on the play and sometimes you got to be a little lucky and she caught the tape and it finds a hole ties it up at 15 dee Moreno played that one although it might
031have been out trying to go to the back was Brooklyn Romero and it's out and suddenly the Spartans have scored four in a row and taking the lead and again it starts with that serving that receive and the receive was out of position Liberty was a little out of sync and they couldn't get it in this time red doesn't get it high enough on the net and it goes in and we're tied at 16 and back into the game for the Lancers Erin McDonald as well as Corinna Florrick we talked about that aggressive serving and you just scored four points off of your serve you hit one into the net but that's that's going to happen you're trying to hit those placement shots McDonald with a nice serve it already has to attack from the
032back details their handles it up front Oh McClure couldn't handle that one it was like a quick set by Ali rice makhmour wasn't quite ready for it well she can really elevate it and finished in the top ten in the state high jump last year the high hurdles as well you can see how high she can get off the floor but just mistimed that jump she couldn't hang long enough in the air to get a full hand on it Zoe Olson surfs Elsner plays it peachie comes right back to the back and McDonald sends it out suddenly Lancers reeling a little bit giving up six straight points yep and it starts with that serve receive we keep pounding the same points home but when you make a good pass you make a set you have
033a lot of options offensively and Liberty struggling with that right now Zoe Olson quick served set that up to makhmour and boy you saw her jump there you mentioned how quickly she can get off the ground watch her here look how high she gets and she's coming from a from a tough angle she was behind the setter able to get up over the top and put that one down and maybe change the momentum a little bit for this Lancer team Kaitlyn makhmour hits it about a 36% rain that's pretty good for kill percentage nice kill there by Hannah knack to go the senior for the Spartans second on this team and kill she's got three already in the set and again Liberty slow getting that block over you could see the big gap in that
034middle block and she found it for the point serve goes out long for an act to go and avalanches will come back Ruston Obachan Peachy come back in rice and Romero come out a lot of substitutions for this Liberty team we talked about how the stats are so equally distributed well that's why they rotate a lot of people in and out peachie nice long serve Spartans will play pump have to play from the back row for Heinz kita Elsner sets it up the rasta Novik spartans are there Hinds tips a good play although I thought Elsa was real close to getting under that one sure looked like it but a nice ball by hope Hinds and the jump she takes and it looked like she was gonna wind up and then come with the fastball
035and at the last minute she just dropped it over the top good play by hope Hines the senior 2218 Doherty the Lancers need to get back a point here quickly peachy - Lewis pushed it over Spartan through there and they're gonna call that a push or a lift by the Spartans and then I'll give the Lancers up one 22:19 back into the game Sasha Elsner as well as ktd Moreno back and forth we go I mean it just seems like one team gets a little momentum it goes right back the other way one team scores the other team hits it into the net just going right back and forth and in this game do you mean oh nice long serve and it's gonna be playable off the ceiling neck to go gets it over Lance
036was right there peachy Lewis and they're not gonna get that one Sophie Lewis put it home Anna Lancers have tied it up at 20 but quick scent as well by Sammy peachy and she she had Lewis coming in when Sophie Lewis can take a couple of steps and get up it's awful hard to play that one she ties this game the merino nice deep serve again spartans their quick tip Lance who therefore peachy on the outside Sasha Elsner the Spartans come back Hines Keita Elsner is there PG to Lois and again they'll have to play this one peachy this songs outside rusty Novick it's an overpass Lewis plays it Spartans still there great rally by both of these teams on the outside Sasha Elster another nice dick from Hines in the back row they're gonna
037call it double hit liberty gets that point and it's always nice when you get those points after a long rally sure is what a rally that was and a couple of great attacks Sophie Lewis had a great chance and Elsner gets the opportunity puts it down and puts the Lancers up one d Marino goes behinds the overpass right there is Sasha Elsner and it's 22 to 20 Liberty timeout Daugherty Spartans and I think I know why Aaron stone wanted that timeout the Lancers at now scored four in a row this is going back and forth just a heck of game there's Amy Adams again talking to her team what a set we've had and both of these coaches I'm sure at times are frustrated with what's going on at times they're saying hey we're playing
038pretty good but Liberty back and forth and they had a couple of great looks they set up Lewis a couple of times in that last one off the hands of Sasha Elsner four kills in this set for the sophomore Sasha Elsner speaking of great looks how about the looks inside the Huddle's we're getting from our own download cameraman Larry King convinced Grieco doing a great job not to mention Justin Melnick Tom Paul up top Adam Drake running the show tonight in the truck Rob Parrish run of the replay machine ktt Moreno set to serve and here we go making sure both coaches knew how many timeouts they have left and their nariño that's tough out of a timeout when you had the momentum you get that service error that is a tough one you scored
039four in a row you're coming out of a timeout you get a little momentum going your way and again she went for it she went for a great serve had little topspin just couldn't get it over Abbie Hutchins deep serve the Ellsworth plays it on the outside so Ellesmere tips that'll be a point for the Lancers oh so much power coming from Sasha Ellsworth coming right at you through the block number five in this set and she puts the Lancers up two and they will get the surf that's how you get momentum back at least Sophie Lewis at the serve that's how you get momentum background like that Sophie Lewis long serve they let it go to him Zoe Olson played that one she hurt him all screaming out let's watch it again he comes
040in she steps away that was awful close they called it in 24:21 so Sophie Lewis serving force at number one it was the other corner this time the Spartans have it they'll set it up is out and that is the points Lauren Andrews scents it out and the Liberty Lancers takes set 125 to 21 and that's where we stand we'll take a break we'll come back with set to action from Liberty High School right after this you're watching high school volleyball on 20 TV and we certainly hope you're enjoying this high school volleyball action here on 20 TV Brian German alongside Dave Toller from Liberty High School where the Lancers took set 1:25 to 21 Sammy peachy set to serve for set two sends the ball over and we're under way here in the second
041set of this Hinds just plays that one over Keita Elsner bump sets it and the Spartans will get in back into rotation on the outside that is a long hit it goes out by Allison wolf both teams kind of off their game really where both were discombobulated on each side will say but Liberty got the point and this is peachy back with the ball discombobulated is that like cattywampus whoa what a nice serve by Sammy peachy to the back row makes it to nothing Lancers and that's exactly the start Amy Adams wanted for her team that was not caddywhompus I was a great ball by Sammy peachy two-zip Lancers you got all sorts of weird words don't we wolf plays it on to nice job by Florrick to dive and get that one so Keita
042Elsner plays it over spartans come back on the outside there's the block Florrick is able to come down with it Sammy peachy sets it up on the outside Romero's there and now they're back in set fork Oh couldn't get high enough on that one the set was a little bit low and Florrick sent it into the net she took a good swing yet though she went up with everything she has long set from peachy she goes up and just didn't quite get high enough on that ball to get it over there's the bunt by Madison Bradshaw newly into the game for the Lancers and the Spartans have tied it up at two to serve again his wolf this one handled and the back to discombobulated for the Liberty Lancers down three to two now throw
043it back to back plays there's a good look that's Madison Bradshaw into the game and a lot of communication errors on that back line for Liberty Allison wolf sends it over played by Romero nice D on the opposite side by the Spartans Leilani Washington with another kill just passed Keita Elsner making it 4-2 to Dougherty awful tough to play that one when she gets a good look and a good set and there's not much Liberty could do with that ball wolf again serving this one out Bradshaw gets it to peachy out of the outside Romero Spartans come right back nice block at the net Florrick is there peachy sending it back to Romero on this side they'll go outside mac to go nice dig on the back row Bradshaw that one off the top of
044the net by sophie Lewis and the Spartans have built a 5 to 2 lead when again Liberty that time going right back to the middle Sophie Lewis was productive in that first set had a couple of kills but they went to her there and again the set looked like it was a little bit low Sophie couldn't do a whole lot with it wolf he tells knew they're peachy runs on to that one Romero gets it off the block it out and side out for the Lancers and that was a big side out because Allison wolf was doing some damage back there serving that was a huge ball over there for Brooklyn Romero second kill this game on Tuesday night against Coronado Brooklyn Romero 11 kills in that game and a big one to hopefully get
045the Lancers going in this second set so Sasha Elsner and Katie de Moreno back into the game do you Marino the serve on the back row by Olson Haley Washington's blocked in the middle may have hit it into the net but that's another point for the Lancers yeah it might have been in the net it wouldn't have mattered Oh Romero and Lewis we're both there we'll get a good look at it right here here's Washington Cano again the double block set up into the net the Lancers get the point you know Heinz pulls that one out to come back to Mack to go Dean Marino plays it too peachy on the outside Romero nice Brooklyn Romero this senior with another kill Brooklyn Romero getting going and that was an absolute missile take a look at
046this one coming across Clark into a great spot Brooklyn Romero puts it down 550 Marino serves it again back on the outside that one's tip d Moreno had to play it with a good play by Lauren Andrus and back and forth we go we saw this in the first set little momentum swings on both teams and the Spartans up one right now I served by Ingres cannot handle by Keita Elsner and it goes out Spartans now 7 to 5 good look at Lauren Andrus right there after her first ace Sasha Elsner this time they go to Sophie Lewis on the outside Spartans back at it Leilani Washington good job I beat you to keep it alive Elsner sets up her sister and that one's gonna be out he tells her to Sasha Elsner just outside
047the line her hope was hoping to have the elves in there to Elsner but we did it just didn't work so well for liberty so again it's Endres back to surf with an eight-five lead Loes over the net lets them set it up Sophie Lewis and that one is going to score a point for the Lancers beautiful set by P cheetah Lewis really was nice back set by by PG they ran that exact same play the last set and Dougherty was able to dig it they went back to it as Lewis swung around to the near side the right side of the plate Lewis puts it down the mixer back in makhmour and McDonald's Aaron McDonald to serve I serve there's Washington again this one too much for McDonald the handle Leilani Washington on the
048outside when she gets that ball right where she wants it great athlete you can see it right here winds up and not a whole lot you can do when that ball is coming down at you perfect set for the Spartans Zoe Olson back to sir sends it over Sasha Elsner peachy had to play and makhmour couldn't get there he's a tough play on the overpass by Sasha Elsner and now the Spartans have a four point lead and Amy Adams says yep I'll take the timeout well we saw how this happened in the first set teams were taking timeouts and then they'd find a way to get the momentum and the other team would take a timeout yeah you look back at that first set Liberty trailed that game six to one early on they trailed
04918 to 16 came back to win that one 25 21 so if you're wondering if they have the ability to come from behind they absolutely showed it in that in that first game and Amy Adams brings her team over there's a good shot of the Lancers are they get ready to come back out trailing by four well it's an amazing as a coach you know you you're looking at that and maybe maybe you see a hole you know that you can serve in two or maybe you see how the other team is taking advantage of some things that you're doing and that's what you can just reset right here ladies this is what we have to do we have to make sure we're good on our rotations we have to make sure that we're getting
050to the right people to the right places and setting the proper people where there's no where there's one block or no block and really if either one of these teams could pass the ball a little better they would take a huge advantage in this game both teams have really struggled that first pass and with getting serves in service out and the Lancers will take it 10-7 back into the game comes Ali rice and kanita Rustin tobik peachy and Romero come out this will be a serve for Ali rice down 10 7 the freshman with 14 ace is already on the season set up in the middle gets the kill hope Hines with the perfect set for her well I really was and again a little bit hidden right behind all the center she comes through
051the traffic gets it around the block and her third kill of this game smaller stature for that Spartan but man she can get up in the air she gets the kill there and this service error gives the Lancers a a point it's 11 to 8 so Liberty gonna try and run some things off now as flora comes back into the game as does Madison Bradshaw Bradshaw to serve Mack tickle sets it up the block in the middle at a triple block right there Spartans come right back at it and again Rasta Novik is there along with more played over by Elsner Spartans come right back and a Miss set right there by neck to go and Liberty will take it when Liberty's a scrappy team though they just keep so many balls alive and when
052they do they force the other team to make a mistake eventually that's what Doherty did it's over Olson plays it right in the middle hope Hines nice set by rice mr. Novak's count there's block and in great job I rested Novak that time with the block and it's cut it to one Ruston Nova can look more set to double up you'll see it coming right at you whose hands it goes off and probably Arista Novik gets it down right on the line nice for that job on the block Bradshaw with a great serve right on the line that time Spartans have to play it over Ruston tobik just sends it over now Ally rice on the outside Fork a big hit the Spartans are there and they're gonna say she was in the net and
053the Lancers have come all the way back to tie it 11 we'll take a good look at that one there's dougherty trying to just dig that ball out of play and into the net good point there by Liberty Bradshaw again nice serve Olson handles this one up up and up the knack to gall will play it over Ally rice right in the middle makhmour coming back to spartans and that's a double hit give it again to the Lancers the answers have had some big kills and while the the Spartans have dug it out it's been the set that they messed up on absolutely good job by Caitlin Morton look more to make the Spartans work for it Lancer fans getting a little excited over there hope Hines can't play it lancerpoint again and that big
054timeout that Amy Adams took with a team down 10 to 6 guess what's gonna happen now that Liberty's up 13 to 11 Jordi's going to take a timeout yep that's Aaron stone taking the time out Amy Adams talking to her team really amazing you had some great serving in from Madison Bradshaw and some nice big hits and you know sometimes when you have a big hit it's not the dig so much it's you're getting them out because they can't pass so well off of that dig but you can get under it and keep that ball alive but you can't send it to the right place where you want to send it to your Center it's exactly right and even sometimes that ball goes off the block then you got to run back and chase it
055allows the in a loud Liberty to get set up a little bit more meanwhile Doherty running around good job by liberty of putting a lot of those balls down and you might not get credit all the time for those kills florrick makhmour lewis put a lot of balls down that don't count as kills but they're it's a tough play for the other team to get it back up Amy Adams before the game told us about her eight seniors how how nice it is to have that many so well the Spartans have seven yeah so these are very experienced players out here on the court Bradshaw sends it in Flores they set up Heinz on the outside those nurse sets it up rice has to bump it Bradshaw sends it over free ball for the Spartans
056they'll send into the middle hope Hines gets the kill and the Spartans have ended the rally it's 1312 well they're setting up hope Hines a whole lot in the middle and here's just a quick one Hines comes up in the triple block was set up by Liberty they still couldn't stop it Abbie Hutchins right there you rarely see two hitters that close having Hutchins right there along with Heinz Heinz now to serve 1312 Bradshaw rice makhmour Hines with the dig will come right back Hutchins sends it over Lancers are here nice outside to Florrick that one's out nice set by Rice that time Florrick just hit it a bit too far yeah and that's a play that you want when you can get Corina Florrick going on the outside here's here's the set she comes
057up with it boy coming right at you staying with the play down there Larry Hanken and deserve hazard pay Hallie rice pick more blocks each I'll buy rest Novick makhmour sends it over again i scramblin by the Lancers bradshaw Florrick sends it over a little bit of sloppy play there and the Spartans will get the point yeah and sometimes when you have those those plays like that you just got to try to keep it alive do whatever you can to win those points and Dougherty did so and they go up by one step over by Heinz Keita Elsner can't play Bradshaw we'll get it to Ruston tobik and she sends it out unfortunately and just like that timeout team comes back timeout team comes back it was 13 11 that's a four in a row
058scored by the Spartans hope Ines job by Elsner nice set there by rice got it to Florrick that was gonna come off the ceiling and the Spartans will be able to play it they got helped out by the net up their alley rice over to Florrick and this time she hits it out boy the Spartans really saved that time because that was a heck of a strike by Florrick but the Spartans hit it up into the netting up in the ceiling and it kept the ball alive that ball would have been well out of play and unplayable into the bath wall had it not hit the rafters beau Pines outs with the serve [Applause] Lancers back in this 1614 Keita Elsner goes back to serve I was five points in row by Dougherty Elster's surf
059or is right there played at the net and out nice idea by Alison Wolfe but just pushed it a bit too far and the Lancers get the point I've really was there was some room over there and instead just flicked it out of bounds he tells her hope Ines calls everyone off and sends it back ratch out with a dig again the nice set the floor blocked right in front by Abby Hutchins she was ready for Florrick's power right there great look at Abby Hutchins as she goes back for the server but here's the block the power block right in to Abbie Hutchins who gets her first block of this set so every bradshaw Ally rice again to Florrick Heinz brings that one down they'll come into the middle Washington has to just play it
060over Bradshaw this time come back the other side rusta Novick Hutchins is there Bradshaw plays it where they say into the nets for liberty Rustin Novick I believe was in the net and it's going to be Spartan point spartans serve 1815 and backhoes Abby Hutchins it's a good look at her she gets ready to serve the dig by Florrick right sets up Rustin Tomac going back the other way for the Spartans endris doing yeoman's job on the outside this time she keeps the ball alive get it back to her again that one's out ooh look very close may have touched the line on the backside to my naked eye looked out Amy Anna says give me another timeout I'm down by three 1815 here's another look at its take a look at this and we'll
061see there's the attack where does this ball come down at untouched boy I think it did catch the back side of that line that's a that's a good call tough call to make over there but I think it did catch the back side that's our replay guy Rob Harris joined show me that I was wrong Amy Adams got her team together now 1915 they were down ten six when she took the last timeout and what happened they came back yes we'll see if it happens again what a great set what a great match this has been the first set was very similar back and forth bye-bye both of these teams this this set as well and there's a there's a look at the Lancers as they rally up to see if they can get back
062into this one so Rhys Parton's with the serve Abby Hutchins still back there [Music] the Lancers have two timeouts left holding the ball to get it back to Abby Hutchins [Applause] that one's out again I'll call it again the Spartans serve as long and the Lancers now within three keep attacking that back line back there the last time they they got the call and this time it's a little bit further out but keep keep going after it Lancers now down three Sammy peachy ready to surf [Applause] gets it on the backline Spartans gonna have to play this one over hope Hines does the honors Keita Elsner the PG right in the middle rule oeis couldn't handle it and the Spartans will now set it up Andrus is blocked but the Spartans keep it alive Leilani
063Washington sends it over Elsner peachy Lewis and again a nice dig that was gonna be out of there but what a great job by Zowie Olson just keep that ball alive the Lancers get the point yeah it really was and again there's there's Luis bollo Olson just laying out to keep it alive and ends up getting over the net but Sophie Lewis gets the kill on the play Sammy peachy again to serve sends it over and thus parties could not handle that great serve by Sammy peachy Lauren Andres couldn't get a good pass off of it and she's going to come out of the game right now for the Spartans and they're gonna bring in a freshman Dodie from the back row that was Hines peachy sets it up Romero beats the block again point
064Lancers I set there by peach and Romero knocks it down Sammy peachy this is her third straight served she had an ace on the last one hustles up gets the assist on the play 1919 peachy serve back there Hines plays it back neck to gall across the wolf he didn't know how to play it and it was touched so it'll be a Spartan point 22:19 Doherty good job by Sammy peachy going back to her getting three points for her team let me look at it wolf with the serve tea to Elsner sets up peachy nice job to Lewis Spartans scrambling on the floor keeping it alive sent back across peachy Taketa ELLs near the back bump to Florrick off the block and again the Spartans still alive Leilani Washington sends it out and were tied
065at 20 look like when Leilani Washington went up for that she didn't quite have her feet where she wanted didn't elevate like we've seen her do tonight and could not get on top of that ball and sends it out ties this game right back up and a couple of substitutions KDT Moreno back into serve Sasha Elsner back in as well dee Moreno this has been neck and neck all night long wolf setting up Washington got it leilani washington and i set by wolf and the spartans take the lead again 2120 yeah Allison will put that in a perfect spot and we saw the previous time Washington just couldn't get her feet under her couldn't get up to where she wanted to that time she did and when she's gonna do that she's gonna send it
066in Warren Andrus back to serve a shot by Sasha Elsner she's gonna get back nice set back to her hope Hines they'll have to play this one over free ball for the Lancers peachy back to Romero and she just got too much on that one I don't think she was ready for that one peachie wanted to go a little bit further back with that set and couldn't get it back far enough to 20 little miscommunication there she wasn't looking for that ball at all interest with a beautiful serve d moreno can't get it 23:20 spartans Lancers against it right here yeah they really are they they got to get a stop here k TD Moreno back there see if she can get a better play on this one Lauren Andres Keita Elsner plays it and
067a double hit by peachy a rare setting error by the Lancers makes it 20 for 20 so Andres trying to close out this second set long serve over t2 Elsner plays at peachy comes over to play it D Moreno sends it over Spartans work on the outside Heinz and she gets the set winner 25:20 Doherty takes set number two we are tied at is set a piece we will come back for the third set from Liberty High School you're watching high school volleyball on twenty TV you the Spartans getting ready welcome back to the Liberty High School it's a good look at the Spartan bench from the floor that's Vince Greco's camera doing his work for him he's touching it right now it's just on the floor but we are tied it is set a
068piece and it's been two great sets really really has and almost identical I mean they have been back and forth we've had momentum swings one way and the other I don't know if either team is led by more than four points at any point during those first two sets 25:21 Liberty the first one 25:20 Doherty in the second one well that's because whenever any team goes up by four the other two coach calls the timeout it's working good keep it going yeah so the Spartans are gonna start here with the serve and that's going to be Allison Wolfe with the serve and we are waiting for the official and he's about to blows whistle here we go captain for the Spartans sends it over we're under way and set three and a nice service floor
069couldn't handle it Spartans up 104 first ace of the night 15th of the season as you said the team captain the senior and that's what you want your experience players to do come out give your team a lead right away she's a good server sir but on a 91 percent clip kita Ellison has to play that one over there go on the outside as near good play and that one is hit out by D Moreno Lauren Andres having a good game for the Spartans thus far tonight yeah really is and you know you look at all that the people in the back rows we don't get to call a whole lot Lauren interest doing a good job and there's Alison Wolfe details new plays that one nice play on to buy rice andres moreno sends
070it back nice dive by flores tipping it back to washington and Wow has a lucky play there by the Spartans as Leilani Washington was not ready to play that ball but got it over the net how about the quick hands by Leilani Washington though was was gonna go up and attack with the right hand instead that comes to her offside she flips it up over with the left hand and gets the Spartans third point wolf again and I serve give her second ace of the day 16th of the season and just putting it in a great spot and you saw Liberty's defense that's where they had a big big opening and they've got it right there again now a little substitution coming up for the Lancers Jenelle Slocum comes into the game she comes in
071for Kareena Florrick ooh had a tough time with those serves we'll see how Slocum can do if they go to the same spot she does and a great diving job by the ally rice send it up the neck to go rice comes back with a nice set that they're gonna call her for a double hit she knew it no argument from Ally rice what a play Ellie rice made as she just laid out on the far side over by the bleachers to keep that ball alive but unable to get the point Spartans go up five zip Allison wolf Sophie Lewis it's it out six nothing man this I do believe is the biggest lead of the game by either team six points that it is six straight for Allison wolf sends it back tough play
072by Slocum and Liberty all out of sorts right now down seven nothing and just trying to find somebody back that's inner row and they're gonna call a timeout that just settle things down here but seven in a row by Allison wolf the senior team captain for Doherty gets them off to a great start here in set number three he's a good look at Aaron stone got her Spartans ready to go and you know it's got to be uplifting for the Spartans they came in here went down a set they came back and won that second set and right now they're on fire behind Allison oh all the momentum is on the side of the blue and green over to our left right here and a good look at him right there Aaron stone and her
073Spartans off to a great start but Allison wolf I I don't know what she's putting on some of those services but liberty is having all sorts of problems everyone and it's not like they're they're coming straight in and hitting the deck for it for an ace they're playing them they just can't get a good pass and not even a a good pass they can't get a pass that's in play every one has been off the court and they've been forced to scramble so Jenelle Slocum stays in the game she'll be in that back spot where wolf has been serving we'll see if wolf changes it up a little bit rusty Novick back there as well along with Dee Moreno and Ketu Elsner wolf comes right back to her again this time Slocum handles it nice
074job by rice gets a doodie Marino but the block is there and that's what's tough to do when you have that back row attack to get it by that block Washington enacted goal and it was Washington that gets the the solo block on that one nice job job timing that one wolf this time comes short and again rice sets it up a nice dig on the back row by Heinz Leilani Washington plays it Lancers are there do you Marino picked up by Olson and I'm back on the side the neck to go up locked up front Spartans keep it alive Andrus gets it off the block in in and the Spartans continue the roll it's 9 to nothing unbelievable we were just talking about this game and the way it's gone back and forth that
075time Endres goes up takes it right off the block and blowing nine in a row that this first two sets went back and forth by each team but this one here being dominated early by dougherty wolf sends it over there Sophie Lewis off the block it out and finally the Lancers get on the board well it took awhile a nice job on the swing right there Sophie Lewis was in the middle swings around to the right side and gets the kill good job by Andres Hinds sets up neck to go goes off the block and down and that's a good play there by Hannah knack to go this senior has a 37% kill percentage that went off the block is Sophie Lewis and down well and sometimes you don't get that set where you want
076it every single time good job of adjusting to that set and getting it down for the point Lauren Andrus sends it long played by Slocum now he's gonna play it good job on the back row by Olson to dig that one out hope Hine sends it over Sofie goes there knees to get it and there's Sasha Elsner this one's played heigh-ho pines gonna have to play it over job by Slocum Keita Elsner rice just sends it over Spartans get a chance right here back row attack Anders can't get it to go this one set on the outside peachy gets a hit spartans keep it alive good rally by both of these teams Keaney Elsner back to rice - Sophie Lewis that's gonna be out and the Spartans get another point now a 10 point lead
077for Dority boy great hustle by both of these teams you're gonna see the the attack there by Sophie Lewis that does go out just by about a foot but a great job by both these teams keeping balls alive Lauren Andrus sends it over Keita Elsner rice back to Sasha Elsner that one's in 11 to 2 and now the Lancers got to get something you know you don't have to get all 10 points back at the one time but it'd be good to get four or five before you have a side out you need to go on a couple of runs and a nice job by Sasha Elsner her first kill of this set her 7th of the match now she serves him on the back row to play it to Washington what a great play
078on the rolling hit on the right side well a great job little Ani Washington and again when she gets that ball we'll take a look at it right here back sit right where she wants it comes off the left foot and sends it in spartans finding holes in that Liberty defense up front doing a good job of the setting Washington's serve is out and the Lancers will take it out comes Keita Elsner back comes in Katelyn makhmour Sophie Lewis goes back to serve take it over time into the net liberty out of sorts right now Amy Adams took a time out early but right now they're just not firing on all cylinders right and at some point and you can't wait too long obviously but you got to get on a run you got to
079get three four five get on a couple of runs and Liberty not able to so far have to go serve rice sets up Florrick plays it herself off a net back to peachy long hit out 14 three well I liked what Liberty did right there all all of the traffic all the bodies were here on the near side on the right side of the court they sent the the bump set to the far side of the clerk tried to get the attack and there was some room but the ball just sailed and I'm acting all again this serve Sascha Elsner plays it to her sister and now I hit by Fork and it's in and boy to see Corinna Florrick after that hit it's like come on let's go absolutely and you got to get
080something to get you going there's a great ball by Florrick and we'll see if that's the ball that will get the Lancers going Sammy peachy back to serve Dougherty a bit out of sorts they'll play it over and that is out sent over by karlie redd and here comes a substitution Lauren Andrus for Doherty will take Reds place Sammy peachy back to serve again trying to cut into this nine point door to lead sends it over hope highs gets back nice dig by Keita Elsner but no one else is there that was tough because was almost Keita was on the floor right where the ball was gonna land she had two white jerseys right around her and they both kind of looked at each other and froze in the ball just hit the deck and
081it's been that kind of set for liberty Bailey Gilford now in the game for the Spartans and hope Hines to serve into the net well when you're up ten you can take a few of those service errors you can but you don't want to let the other team get back into it and you know you still want to be aggressive with your serves but don't don't give liberty any life when you get up ten now they're up up nine and a good look right there Aaron McDonald nice sir by McDonald hope Hines handles it neck to go gets a dual blocked in front spartans keep it alive Guilford can't handle that one and it's 15 to 6 7 good job on the near side Sasha Al's owner was up for that block sent it down
082in and forced dougherty to start scrambling around and the Lancers get the point McDonald with a nice serve Olson handles it Hines with the set to Guilford who just pushes it over good dig by Liberty but the Spartans can reset now in this center that's Hutchins hitting it makhmour handles at peachy plays it over spartans again in the middle Hutchins blocked and sit down Sasha Elsner nickmoore there with the block great job on the double block and you call the Brian makhmour and Elsner got together they tightened up the block we've seen a few times where that blocks been a little loose and they've given the Spartans some room but not that time service errors and when you're trying to climb back as far as the Lancers are those are really hurtful gotta get some
083rallies going where you're scoring three four or five points at a time it looked like Liberty was going to do that they were starting to click a little bit now they'll get a service error on Dority sides well Lancers get the ball back and see if they can get something going down seven Sophie Lewis comes back in Keita Elsner goes back to serve LeBaron senior she was at a 97 percent clip that's pretty good where I come from Bailey Guilford sends it over Lancers Sasha Elsner on the outside block back at or Keita Elsner hits it and they say it was for it went into the net it was not blocked it was hit into the net 19 is 17 to 9 Lancers need a side out big time and this lady did a lot
084of damage last time she served Allison wolf this time Sasha Elsner handles it gets it back sends it down Sasha Elsner says you know what wolf you're gonna serve one time and one time only Sasha ELLs they're just taking things into her own hands in this set nice job off the block so much power from Sasha Elsner sends it in and at some point you got to feel like Liberty's going to get going but they got to put a little run together so Allie rice ready to sir but the down officials says the substitution had to happen Rustin Novick comes in for Sammy peachy Amy Adams tried to argue it a little bit the Reposado none of it and another service error for the Lancers that's a tough one well that's that's three in a
085row for these teams they've done back and forth with with the service errors and timeout is called Amy Adams wants a timeout 18 to 10 as you see both these teams just can't say enough about the 20 TV staff we've got working tonight Adam Drake running the show from inside the truck Rob Parrish on the replay machine well the cameras up top Justin Melnick Tom Paul and on the floor Larry Rincon and Vince Greco I'm alongside Dave Toller I guess my name is Brian German that's Amy Adams looking at her team and trying to get him back into this game 18 to 10 and Dave I always ask coaches this and they always tell me no but I'm gonna ask you when I just give up this set milk go to the fourth feel like
086you can battle your way back into this and you look at the the way this set started seven serves in a row by Alison Wolfe well you'd like to say if your Liberty if we can get to serve they got to get him over there their service errors are really kill him they can get no momentum generated but down eight they can get back in this that's Bailey Gilford the senior for the Spartans out of rotation was the Lancers Amy Adams wants an explanation the down ref is letting her know right now she says okay she just nodded her head she knew Bailey Gilford this is her first action here in the third set is senior for the Spartans it's that Serb McDonald this time hits that one out it's 20 to 10 Dougherty that
087hole is getting deeper and deeper to dig out up for liberty Guilford sends it long this time and the Lancers will take the side out see if they can do some damage now with Sasha Elsner at the head with the serve and flora comes back in from McDonald Sascha Elsner bouncing the ball on the baseline here we go nice sir forest was there though Spartans come back hope Hines Keita Elsner gets its bluest tips it over and the Spartans will have to play this one over Hines is there Florrick with a nice dick gets it back and hammers it but Olson is there hope Hines short good job by Allie rice Spartans again I'm gonna right back at it and again a wonderful rally about these two teams so close there's an overpass Allie rice
088plays it in what a bit of luck and maybe the luck is changing now for the Lancers as Allie Rice's bump found its way in one comes off the tip of a teammate right there in a nice play by Allie rice just caught everybody off guard look at Dorothy just standing flat-footed as that ball lands on the line Allie rice got pumped up about that one and there's another nice serve by Sasha Elsner hyeon's hits it down hope Hines is who they turn to when they want a big play and so far tonight she's come up with well she delivered a big one right there a little momentum you could see the excitement Liberty had on that last point and hope Hines just takes all that away with her second kill of the set her
089ninth of this evening Zoe Olson Allie rice - Sophie Lewis Guilford plays it ahead that's Ashlyn graves Lewis again yes it is they're sitting on the outside Hines off the blocking out point for the Spartans 22 to 12 now yeah why wouldn't you go right back to hope Hines the senior there's a good set far side across and going into the block nice job Zoe Olson roundabouts serve nice sir Keita Elsner gets under it rice plays at the floor can the block again this time Abby Hutchins gets up right there to block flora can make it 23 to 12 nice job by Abby Hutchins we'll take a look number two right there gets the block and sends it in but well how about the serve by Zoe Olson that ball just floated look like a
090knuckleball like a pitcher throwing that knuckleball it was moving and just dropped as soon as they got over the line 23:12 Zoe Olson again and I serve this time rice sets a Florrick hits it too hard and out 24 to 12 and the Spartans are one point away from taking it two sets to one lead Olson this time the short serve hits the antenna and Lancers stave off the set point they'll have to stave off 12 more good time to go after that for Zoe Nelson when you're up 24 13 Sophie Lewis one point at a time Hines gets it they come back outside Hines that's in co pines ended the last set she ends this one is Dougherty takes set 3:25 to 13 the final in this one two sets to one Spartans have
091the lead will come back with set number four from Liberty High School you're watching high school volleyball on 20 TV you welcome back inside Liberty high school Brian German alongside Dave Toller we are set for set for as the Doherty Spartans lost the first set 25 to 21 they've since come back and they've won the next two and the last one Dave my dominating fashion 2513 law they did Brian they got off to a 9 0 game seven of those came off the serves of Allison wolf to start the game but up nine zip up 12 to two early and they just maintained that that eight nine ten twelve point lead throughout that entire set so well see if Liberty can get back in this they were they really struggled returning serves even the ones
092they they got back they were just really out of sequence defensively and it cost them in that game we'll see if they can get right back in it here in set number four may have to hope that they can do some damage with the server their own this time Sammy PG is back Elster comes in for Sophie Lewis and PG will have the serve Sammy PG serves at a 91% clip one of the better servers on the team behind Elsner and Slocum that ones up up on the back row here come the Spartans Leilani Washington nice oh I thought you had the dig on the back row but Sasha Elsner couldn't get it Washington gets the first point of set number four and it started with a good pass for Dougherty a good pass on
093the back through the set and any time you can get Leilani Washington going it's a good thing for Dorothy Allison wolf they get it set up in the middle of the Florrick and a nice job and the up official I don't believe saw if he's gonna ask the down official I believe it should be Liberty point but I'm not sure if she was into the net or not right I thought it should be Liberty's point as well Oh I say was a house it may went off the net did it go off the blocker off the net let's take a look Florrick with the attack right here off the net and now to play and that's what they call eg sets at makhmour great job by Caitlin makhmour to get the Lancers fired up and
094going it's 2 to 1 and again it starts with the pass a good back set and there you see Caitlin makhmour elevating with a full extension full swing powerful kill and makhmour gets the Lancers on the board Aaron McDonald now back into serve that one's in a great job by Aaron McDonald and you saw Daugherty really getting the points last set with the serve we'll see if McDonald can keep this up nice job by Aaron McDonald the senior her first ace of this evening number 15 on the season I served there but they set up Leilani Washington key tails are there to handle it peachy outside Sasha Elsner nice dig by Hinds knack to go we'll play it over peachie in the middle of Florrick can't get it to go this time to come on
095the outside and Andrus gets the kill through the block and the Spartans take a 3-2 lead when Lauren Andrews has been active in this game she gets her first kill of this set and again you see that block of Liberty big gap in between the two blockers that's where the interest put it right off of the 2 and drops it in for the point top serve a great job by Andrus she is enjoying her and Wolfe have really done most of the damage from behind the serve line for the Spartans tonight they really will or fourth ace of this evening and again the serving of AB Doherty giving Liberty fits all night and again McDonald can't get that one over and again Andrus I'm not sure if they saw something in the way liberties set
096up and that's where they're serving it seems to be coming to the middle of that back row almost every time they really are their attack in the middle Andrus Keita Elsner McDonald to sasha Elsner nice hit that one's off the roof those are hard to play they got a break on that earlier this time not so much some go your way and some don't here it comes right at you good good attack could kill and Ortiz not able to to play it off of the rafters so key to Ellesmere will serve down 5 3 see the Lancers scheme get back and take a lead wolf the bump to Olson in the back row peachy's there quita Elsner with a nice set on the outside Romero but couldn't get under it enough goes into the net
0976-3 spartans and just the timing on those sets and those attacks that time it looked like it was it was a pretty good set it was up high Romero came in took two steps and was just a little off her time and played that ball too low Zoe Olson to serve McDonald plays on the back row Sasha Elsner a nice kill but Olson is there high it's a peachy plays it McDonald Taketa Elsner who plays it over wolf inside that's Hutchins but the Lancers able to scramble and get that one back Olson again outside the Heinz and again he tells dirt dives sends it right back over Spartans getting good looks though next to going to McDonald then finally the Lancers can set something up and they do - Sasha Elsner who's even like that
098one absolutely how about the hustle by Liberty to keep so many balls alive and there's peachy the set Elsner the kill how about the plays by Keita Elsner though to keep so many balls alive dive into her left to her right and they finally got the ball they wanted and it's scored for the Lancers that's the fight you want to see from your seniors if you can just keep that ball alive sooner or later you'll be able to get something in system they got it got it to Elsner for the kill Oh Pines to Hutchins has to play it McDonald nice set outside Elsner again this time it's off the top Spartans have to play it that's not going to get over and look out here come the Liberty Lancers back-to-back kills for Sasha Elsner
099the sophomore terrific job and the way she's hit lit keep going at her she's got the hot hand right now rice with the serve that one's out Spartans will take it 75 and she knew it right away alli rice as soon as she hit it she just kind of hunched over she knew that ball was deep and serving now for the Spartans is Ashlyn graves in the middle Sophie Lewis nice quick set by Allie rice on Allen and now Liberty just moving the ball around we had a couple of kills by Sasha Elsner there's the ball by sophie Lewis the chief sends down that's when Liberty excels when they move the ball around and they get everybody involved in the play that's when they've had some success this season Ellis no but the big serve
100Olson plays it wolf plays it over those are on the back row nice job Nick Mora another nice set from rice and makhmour puts it away and we're tied three kills from three different players good set there's a much more coming right off the block and getting up high so the Lancers now they're getting in their offense a little bit and we'll see if they can keep it going Sasha Elsner with the serve good look at these sophomore sent that one over hard will Hutchins kita Elsner plays it rice two more again Olson plays this one and the Spartans will have to just play it over free ball for the Lancers kita ELLs are gonna come outside the peachy and the Spartans out of system a little bit again quick set Sophie Sophie Lewis plays
101this one and the Spartans are still scrambling wolf sends it not enough won't go over 8 7 the gym here at liberties starting to get a little out hey really is it starting to rock and a good set right here to the quick Sophie Lewis just winds up and you can see dougherty battling trying to keep that ball alive they're not able to in the Lancers jump ahead by one sasha Elsner another big serve the overpass comes across they'll set up makhmour on the outside of tip spartans keep it alive wolf says it blocked right there makhmour aunt Sophie Lewis right up front and uh Lancers take a two-point lead now 9 to 7 good job getting that double block set up and we'll take a look at it right here there's look more there's
102Lewis I think they both got a piece of that they'll share that one in the stat book Sascha Hauser aggressive surf goes out this time and Spartans back to within 1 and out comes karlie redd in comes Lauren Andrus we've been calling her name all night long for the Spartans big serve kita Elsner couldn't handle well enough and he goes out and we're tied up at nine so both of these teams just seemed going back and forth we saw this and sent number one and sent number two and right here sitting there before all tied up at nine hope Hines sends it over rice had to just play at the one hand couldn't get enough on it ten nine Spartans came off the side of her hand we'll take a look at it right here
103and she tried to yeah just trying to keep it in playing and Sophie Lewis trying to come over the top of her teammate rice couldn't do anything with it as well tough to get a nice set that was the slide over pass by Keita Elsner now she'll get a nice set Sophie Lewis knows what to do with it good job I ollie rice setting up Lewis for that one we're tied at 10 it really was nice job Moore made that pass there's the back set Lewis winds up and just a single block if you set up a single block with the way Sophie Lewis can hit that ball she's gonna put it down now Lewis back to serve the Lancer nation getting excited here at Liberty High School Olson plays this one up front neck
104to goal Hutchins plays it over another set makhmour hope Hines took care of that one he'll come forward just to play it Nick Moore has it back set to peachy good job by Sammy peachy and a great job by Ally rice to realize who was gonna be open on that with a setback really was right behind her great communication Sammy peachy just her fifth kill of the season but she saw the hole back there but great recognition Ellie rice to finally open the open player 1110 Sophie Lewis another serve across send it over to Andrus Sasha Elsner rice to makhmour that's in 1210 Lancers trying to build that lead spartans will take a timeout down 1210 and you can't say enough about amy adams she had a little something to say to us between sets
105there didn't she yes she did she was she was fired up she was fired up and and you can see it how about the fight in this Liberty team they lose sent number two twenty five twenty then they get blown out 25:13 would have been AZ it easy to fold up the tents and and send this one home but not this Liberty group a good good look at coach Adams and and her team they have battled back they got the lead here in set number four talking to her team keep that momentum up and you know it's it's it's easier to get momentum when you're at home these kids over here to our right there's a lot of them and they've just been waiting for the Lancers to get back on top they didn't didn't
106get there in the third set but they started it starting to get pretty loud here with the Lancers taking the lead here at set number four well they are and we talked about all the kills coming from Luis and look more and everybody up front but the doing a great job in the back girl babbling to keep balls alive until they can get the attack they want so if Luis sends it over mission plays it Hines has to play it over so P Luis is there running on rice to makhmour nice little take play by Caitlin makhmour 1310 Lancers every time Caitlin makhmour goes up they're expecting the fast ball and this time just a little tip over the top of the block great recognition by Caitlin with more Sophie Lewis taking her time my
107serve Hinds gets it on the backside they'll set it up to wolf go back to peachy blocked up front the good block that time by the Spartans sending it right back at peachy and down and they're down by two now nakta : Andrus were in there and YPG had a good swing at it but good job by Liberty getting the double set up and getting the block or Andrus the senior for the Spartans has been making play after play tonight Abby Hutchins sends it over Keita Elsner rice to makhmour and it goes out Spartans will take it 13 to 12 this is where Liberty's got to be ready - got to shut this off getting signed out they really do and what Moore was trying to go around the block it was set up she
108tried to send it down the down the line and just missed Abby Hutchins makhmour plays it rice will just bump it up to make more good dig on the back by Hinds what up front Lancers will play get me more goes back side and Caitlin makhmour has got the hot hand right now for the Lancers she has six kills in this set alone she has nine on the evening but she's done it several different ways she's got the powerful hit in the last two I've just been great placement like Caitlin makhmour as the Lancers go up by two Allie rice comes out Brooklyn Romero is back in for the Lancers and that serve is out just like that it's a one-point set here 1413 Lancers in the lead and here is Allison wolf and a
109run that gave the Spartans a nine nothing lead in that third set wolf sets up Washington which is it a bit too high elders their send it back Romero goes back row with it sparkies interests but on the outside makhmour again that was blocked and out counted for the Lancers 1513 well I just keep feeding the hot hand a great scent and right off the block Leilani Washington was up there goes off of her arm now to play Lancers up by two and McDonald with the Syria that's seven kills them from before Emma's set McDonald with the serve to get it to a wolf octagon sends it over Sammy peachy the back set Romero got 1613 Lancers and again moving that ball around it's been all mucked more on the left side this time they
110set up Brooklyn Romero on the right side and she finds a spot Aaron McDonald Olsen the wolf's and I gotta call her for that 1713 well you know we were looking at the SATs coming into this game we knew it would be close good game McDonald's serve is out point Spartans 1714 how many times Liberty this season have they gone to five sets it seems like just about every single one of their matches including the one two days ago their first conference game against Coronado in five and we're deep into the fourth one right here Andres McDonald flat overpass and yep they're gonna get peachy with the to hit up front trying to keep that one going for her team 1715 tough plays that pass was into the nest she had to go up and
111get it and tough to make that play while not touching the nip so it goes over to the Spartans Liberty by two Lauren Andrus is back I serve it Donald is there peachie sets it up to fork and I swing on that one Spartans come back Hines who PC Imani got her hand underneath that I hit the floor 1716 hope is just getting it done tonight for Dougherty in that time over the top of the block and just find in a good spot we've seen more of that in this fourth set of not just the power hits but guys finding the good spots andres kita Elsner peachy on the outside Sasha Elsbeth Spartans keep it alive hope eyes tips it tips right back at him by Florrick and this one is still a lot Warwick
112almost gave up on the play good thing she didn't sasha Elsner goes down the line hits it off a wolf but they're gonna call that a lift and Amy Adams does not like that one she's gonna talk to the down officials take a look at it right there boy awful close how long did that ball stay on her hand was was the question was it a hit or was it more of a catch in the throw and the the officials call the lift on the play Anders Elsner Sasha Elsner nice big hit there it's a Haley Washington can't handle on the front row she knows she missed it 18 17 Liberty tough ball to attack right there cuz Leilani Washington came up turned her back and the ball was over the top of her so
113she's backing up on her heels tried to go up and get it and just couldn't do it karlie redd came back in for the Spartans it's played over by Keita Elsner Haley Washington sends it out now it's a two point lead for the Lancers as we get closer to that 25th point see if the Lancers can keep it going behind their senior Keita Elsner with the serve Ashlyn graves now back in for the spartans replacing hannah an octagon details nurse serve handled by Olson Spartans will work it good job by McDonald's to keep that one alive as sasha Elsner opted to block it out far back for Sasha great hit by Ellesmere but it was Erin McDonald there she is in the middle of your screen made a great diving dig to keep that ball
114alive and it allowed Sasha Elsner on the far side to set up and get that kill timeout Dottie down 20 to 17 there's Amy Adams and can't say enough about the job she's done bringing her team back into this game because they literally had nothing going for him and set number three nothing at all they they got blown out and set number three from the get-go we talked about Allison wolf the senior team captain Ferg already ran off seven straight points they were up 12 to 2 and just rolled and like we said it would have been easy to pack it in but coach amy adams her first season with this Liberty Lancer team a great job getting them back into it and we talked about all those those attackers and those killers on the
115front row but how about the play behind them kita al's they're doing a much better job of returning those serves and we had a good look at one Erin McDonald the senior a diving dig to keep it alive those are the plays that keep runs alive they keep the momentum going they get the crowd back into it the student section for liberty they're into it as well in the lantern up three a good look at Keita Elsner with the serve the senior Elsner sister the sophomore who's backed by Daugherty nice job I hope Hines and that's the way you want to come out of the timeout if you're Aaron stone start with the past great pass great set right up and the kill right through the middle there's McDonald and Elsner both trying to get
116down to play it and not able to keep that one up - Zoe Olson will serve down - now for the Spartans Romero plays it get it - Sasha ELLs in there nice play somehow off the blocking down 21:18 now Lancers what a crafty little hit right here take a look at this is she she was looking for a ball that was up it was down lower she changed the arm angle and just swatted it right over the top great play by Sasha ally rice now with the serve nice one Spartans will have to play it over hope Hines does the honors rice to Elsner nice take right there by Sasha Elsner jealous couldn't believe that she got away with it well I to kill Zinn a real one with the low right hand that
117time the left hand goes up off-balance it doesn't matter Sasha sends it down her sixth kill of the sets rice to serve a four-point lead from Liberty here in set for she goes back row Olson plays it Hines and now over by Hutchins setting up Lewis on the outside and that one's going to be in on the back line coach stone doesn't believe it looks at the upper F once the call she thought of his outs you're gonna he's gonna call for the down ref to come see it if he got a better look I always feel bad for the flag people oh and that's a tough spot to be and everything I mean that that ball comes at your quickly point who's gonna be awarded over to Liberty the officials said it was in
118they're gonna trust your people they're closer to the line yeah right on the corner Ally rice irons handles it now get it back to Hines in the middle blocked it out and Dougherty gets the point 23:19 if your Liberty you got a little bit of a point cushion here you got to get the next two yeah peachy and Lewis were both set up and they got it but it goes out of play he's just served by graves back to Sasha Ellison that one's out you got to be careful you're playing with points now three-point lead for liberty and Amy Adams asked if she had a timeout she does she takes it she's got two left in this set 23:20 Lancers but like I said Davy you really want to you can't let door to come
119back too much we the more they get back into this game if they tie this up a 23 it's it's a brand new ball game I like what both of these coaches have done with their timeouts and and they have a lot of them to use but boy when you have an opportunity and there's a momentum swing three or four points in in any direction you got to call that timeout you have to stop it well at this point in the game 23 20 Liberty you don't have three or four points to wait when when Dorothy comes out they get the serve they get the point hey we got to take a timeout we got to stop the bleeding a little bit and get a point twenty three twenty you get a side out and
120all of a sudden it's that point yeah it's it's this is a big match and naturally - I know it's Daugherty's first but if Liberty can win against the team they typically don't want to get to Coronado and then beat Dougherty and be two-and-oh which there you go had a huge service error for jority president for 20 quid at that point to coach amy adams calling that time-out changed the momentum great job and now going back with the serve sasha Elsner the ball in her hand and makhmour back in there Kaitlin makhmour she has been red-hot in this set here we go Sasha Elsner puts it in play Olson neck to go sent over by Heinz Elsner has to play it good hustle by her and rice the older Elsner plays it blocked back at
121just Sophie Lewis Kaitlin McClure and our Lancers hit for set number 5 25 to 20 look take a look at the block set up Lewis look more combined on it was a great play on the backside the hustle by the back row players of Liberty alie rice keeping that ball in the block sends it down it's 25 20 Liberty in set number 4 we're going to set number 5 and the official has flipped the coin good luck he tells nur and Allison Wolfe shake hands and here we go one more set to play 2:15 first one to win by two well you look at the numbers Brian we talked about some of them throughout the the set as play was going on Caitlin looked more with seven kills and a block in that set alone
122Sasha ELLs and her six kills in that set Sophie Lewis four kills three blocks in that set so that's your front row people flat out getting it done but again we talked about Aaron McDonald we talked about Keita Elsner le rice keeping balls alive on the back side letting your front row go to work great job by Amy Adams bringing her team back into this we're gonna take a break we've got a couple minutes here we'll come back for set number five at Liberty High School you're watching volleyball on 20 TV you we're back inside Liberty High School Bryan Durman alongside Dave Toller why not play five Dave why not I mean it's been such a great match let's just keep this one going we'll see how far we can keep it going if they
123keep it close and all but set three were pretty close to recap Liberty once set 1:25 21 Dougherty came back and won the next one's 20 and 13 and then Liberty just took set number four twenty five twenty nice serve over by Sammy peachy the play elder can't handle it a great job by Allison Wolfe and the Spartans get point number one and set five I will tell everyone set 5 goes to 15 but you do as the other sets have to win by 2 going back with that serve Allison Wolfe and she's been their top server all night and a nice serve Elsner handles it peachie sets it to Florrick had to play it over Spartans will keep it up that one off the block and I was gonna call it that way off
124the block although the official download did not call it off the block sorry yeah I'm not sure the official download could even see that where where she was placed details no - nothing Spartans look at it more oh that's a tough one for makhmour coming to the net to try and get on top of that and send it down three nothing Spartans you don't want to get down much further if your Liberty [Music] details interplays it sascha back to kita she'll play it over wolf the back set spartans discombobulated a bit but they get luck because flora couldn't handle that play i just just really out of sync on on both sides and coach amy adams she wants a timeout liberty down for early on and and boy both teams just miss playing balls on
125both sides the advantage on that one went to dougherty and there you see amy adams and the Liberty Lancers timeouts have worked in her favor tonight though she gotten timely points off of timeouts that come back after timeouts and they're down four to nothing and it's usually been about a four-point swing out of these timeouts we'll see if the Lancers have one more in them well we've said this before but Allison wolf that senior team captain of dougherty with her serves I don't know what she's putting on a spin English no spin it Liberty just can't handle it the last two that have come over right to the center Tina Elsner has really struggled with him that's what led to Liberty getting out of sync we'll see if if Liberty could start out with a
126good pass and let their front row go to work good look at wolf she sends it over nice pass this time Florrick and Elsner plays it back and they're good that is a great play by Keita Elsner this Florrick had it blocked back at her terrific play by ELLs that are coming in and well just as everybody is flat-footed watching alder seat sneaks up behind and just sets it back in the far corner great job by the senior to see the court McDonald now serves it Hines gets it inside Washington can't play it they'll play it over Romero outside Sasha Elsner another push Olson goes to the ground it keeps it alive that one's off the block and out that'll be Spartans ball 5 to 1 when Liberty had a chance they had a good
127pass to said just wasn't where they wanted it and then Dougherty takes advantage right off of the block and the Spartans go up 5 to 1 and Hanna knack to go with the hit warn Andrus he tells near peachy back set fork a big hit there but a great dig on the backside by Andrus hope Heinz sense it McDonald can't believe that was in I looked up I thought to me it was close to being outside of the antenna anyway but it was in play what a play by Lauren Andrews to keep this ball alive this yeah Andrus Olson and ball dropped in Aaron McDonald knew it right away he a little too late to play it Andrus gets it too nice on the outside by Sasha Elsner 6-2 that was a big point for
128the Lancers to get back into this one sure was and hopefully gives them a little bit of a minimal how hard that ball came across off the hand of Sasha Elsner so Keita Elsner now to sir nice serve low Hayley Washington has to play it over he tells her back to her sister Sasha beats that block they get 6 to 3 here come the Lancers and you talked about those hot pans Katelyn McClure head and set for Sasha Elsner sends it off the block and in and she's got the hot hand now let's just keep feeding her sister Keita sends it over Olson bumps it up high it's plays it over PG who will she set those two Romero on the outside Hines block right back at her how about Sophie Lewis and Brooklyn Romero
129with the block teaming up for that one good job and we'll take a look at it right here from behind and a nice job getting in front that was all Brooklyn Romero Lewis was there she closed the gap on the double but Brooklyn Romero gets the block timeout Aaron stone and Dougherty Lancers looking good coming back now this this is really been egami rollercoaster ride it really has been it's been a great match from from the very beginning and the way this one started it was all door to they were up four zero in set number five Liberty's come back to to cut it to two and what I like the the the scrappiness of both of these teams they just keep bad they keep balls alive until they get the one they want each
130team has attackers that can really put balls away they've got centers that when they get a good pass they can put it up as well so this has been an evenly played match and tell you what for them for the Colorado Springs Metro League second game for Liberty first one here for Dougherty and these two teams you that's a that's a good league that they play in but three two solid teams were soon right now they certainly are ptl's know we'll keep the serve Lancers down to nice deep serve Hines handles it along the outside Washington sends it out six five and again starts with the serve it came off of the hand of your senior that's key to Elgin her team captain sends it back deep already not able to play it they weren't
131able to set up Washington Point Lancers Olson Wolfe taps that one up that's gonna be out six six was it six to one day it was six to one yes it was here come the Lancers and I gotta believe that this Lancer nation might get a little louder if they get the lead here Haley Washington the dink and a good play by Washington excuse me Haley it wasn't Haley it was Leilani so look at the back set she goes up with the swing and it was a Miss time jumps she just got her fingertips on it but worked out well for Olson to serve seven six short serve ELLs near where the diet alive peachy did Sasha Elsner and the Spartans will regroup nice job by Hutchins but they keep it alive he tells noon
132Romero on the backside and the spartans can't handle it good job by Romero as endres couldn't play it in the back and Romero will come out alley rice comes in to serve we're tied at 7 rice with a nice deep serve Andres handles it wolf sets Hinds dink is good now it comes right to us and goes back out put that one back in play here's a look at it and the set and just a little drop over the top and boy they might have had it went off the fingertips of Luis who was up there for the block and got a piece of it Lancers not able to keep it alive spartans up by one knack to go over the serve get it to sasha Elsner block she plays it back over Spartans will
133regroup send it over to wolf on the side she Dinks it peachie plays it Keita Elsner tries to go to the back Andres was there now Hines plays it in a nice play about hope Hines and the Spartans now have a two point lead at 9 to 7 well I hope Hines has played a whale of a match for for Dougherty tonight and she just found a found a nice spot in the zone coverage of Liberty Spartans up to Mac to go to serve sends it over nice set by rice he couldn't get it over the neck ten seven Spartans pulling up for Coach Adams and this Liberty team and and you could just feel it you you don't want this thing to slip away this game again this set only goes to fifteen so
134ten to seven Daugherty they're on the run they've they've run off three straight points right now and just trying to stop that momentum Liberty we'll see if they can there's a good look at the Spartans yep Aaron stone talking to her team keep this up Wow just the resiliency of both of these teams briefly today both teams have been down and just about every set and come back and you know the Lancers were down six to one in this set came back after a timeout I mind you yep now they're down ten seven let's see what they do with it he tells me comes back out there with McDonald Sasha Elsner Allie rice Sophie Lewis and Sammy peachy the Spartans its neck to gall Enders Olson Wolfe Hines and Hutchins sir comes over Elsner gets
135it on the outside of Peachy Olson is back Oh Pines McDonald with a nice dig on the back row get it to Sasha Elster just not enough to get it over the net that's a big point for the Spartans 11 7 it really is the block was set up s-- l's near side and just tried to dink it around and took it off the top of the net there's a good look at Annan ethical has the serve [Music] Elsner lookit it's a peachy she'll go over nice play by Sammy peachy to find the open spot News Spartan defense just caught everybody off guard that time and you can see the defense I was watching Daugherty they went up for the block that the batgirl backed up by huge hole in the middle of the court
136and peachy found it Caitlin makhmour came back in for McDonald Sasha Elsner with the sir they let it go in what a great sir by Sasha Elsner well I'm just flirting with disaster back there but let's take a look here here it comes right back on the back line that ball is well and that wasn't even close great spot by elspeth Elsner again this time Enders gonna play it Olson goes up will fast to poke it over on the outside makhmour blocked good job by Keita Elsner to be there on the overpass the Spartans send it and there's Keita ELLs her again back to go sets up Wolfe the job I rice back set it to makhmour the Spartans are right there now hope Hines good job i silky louis to try and keep that
137one alive but it goes and hits the ground the Spartans are up now it's 12 nine and again both teams just scrapping on both sides keeping balls alive in that time Sophie Lewis just trying to keep that ball up if she doesn't that ball is gonna hit the deck she plays it up and now to play Spartans up by three hope Ines just off the top of the net Allie rice the back set to Sophie Lewis on his out point Liberty a good job by Caitlin McMorris to makhmour to realize that one was going out I really wasn't she just she was gonna play it she had her hands out she pulled them back Sophie Lewis gets the kill and she gets the point and the ball with the serve Sophie Lewis Liberty down to
138really need to make a move right now as we said it sets to 15 Olson back to going on the outside Anders off the block Sasha go on the outside makhmour Olson gonna play it Hines with the back what a big row by hope Hines and the Spartans have a three-point lead hope is doing a great job this entire match this time from the back row and it's coming right at you our videographer Vince Greco staying right with that one hope Hines their 13th kill of the evening Abbey Hutchy top went off the net for couldn't handle it 1410 the Spartans one point away from winning this match she could find that spot she'll do it again how about landing it on the top of the net and dropping it inside Abbey Hutchins the sophomore
139serving for the match up and over and that one's out Lancers get it this is the chance you got to like the aggressive serve though you got four points absolutely and you know you win for it on the last one you got the point went right back there again it goes out and now the Lancers have a chance they're staying alive Sammy peachy with the ball and timeouts Amy Adams 14 11 you know every time she's called a timeout tonight though just about every time the Lancers have come back and you want to get something going make sure you're gonna you know serve this to the right spot serve this to the place where they're not ready for it and then set up your offense and get some points yeah it's exactly what it is
140I mean get it get a good serve Sammy Peachy is is back there with the ball Sammy peachy two aces on the evening she's second on the team she's got 21 this season so she's gonna put it in a good spot she has 19 aces coming in 21 with the two tonight and she's a 92% server so so many times you see a server with a lot of aces but a lower percentage cuz it's high-risk peachy's able to do both and we'll see if she can get a good one off right here Warrick Romero and makhmour up front peachie will serve Sasha Elser in the back along with her sister Tina good serve by Peachy up and over by Enders that ones in and the Spartans have won it set three 1511 and a nice
141killed by Enders to win it it really was and she's had a great match and just found a spot you could see Liberty had shifted all the way to the far side of the court here in slow motion is set Anders comes up not much of a block to deal with it hits it right down the line but how about the resiliency and just the effort tonight by the Liberty Lancers to fight back I mean they were they were done down they lost this set 3:25 13 never done I thought it was over yeah but they came back in they were right in this game came back won that fourth one and they were down early in this in this fifth set came back to tie it at six but Boyd already made some good
142plays at the end and I'll tell you what these are two very good teams and they're gonna go far in this season they certainly are the Doherty Spartans moved to 9 and 4 on the year their first Metro League win their one an O in the Metro League the Liberty Lancers fall to 8 and 7 one and one in the Metro League we hope you enjoyed watching tonight's game the Doherty Spartans win it 3-2 to and 5 sets over the Liberty Lancers for Dave Toller and our entire 20 TV crew we hope you enjoyed watching we'll see you next time on 20 TV you
