003board of education, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the friends and families impacted. We are holding them close in our thoughts and we remain committed to supporting our students and staff as we grieve together. At this time, we would like to observe a brief moment of silence. Okay. Um the legislative report is usually with Crystal. Um but we're not going to have that today. Um Shelley, would you like to uh do the student leazison report? Yes, please. >> Uh for the student leaison report, um we are lucky this month we have two different groups um coming to share what they do here in the district. Um we will start with uh Sailor Way students uh with National History Day. >> Good evening. I'm Mrs. Dit and I brought some seventh graders with us. We do
004the National History Day project every year. Um this year's theme is revolution, reaction, and reform the 250th anniversary of the Constitution. um our students um research their topic all year um and then they create a project either an exhibit board, a documentary or a website and we will soon take those projects to competition. Um our first competition falls on spring break um March 20th. So this is one of the groups that will be going with us to competition. >> Okay. >> Hi. Um, my name is Adam John and this is Jordan and Addie. Um, So our problem is like earthquake is evolutionary actually formed and so like the overall what happened is like a power plant exploded and caused radiation that the reaction was all the citizens in that area. Um, and the impact was
005that there were a bunch of new safety laws made to help prevent that from ever happening again. So, >> does anybody have any questions? >> I do not. >> Thank you, ladies. Yeah, thank you. All right, let's do the uh board member reports. Paige or Willa? No, I'm sorry. >> I apologize. >> Next up, >> thank you for the National History Day presentation. We're doing the school edition of
006Greece. So it is familyfriendly and um we want to invite all of you to come out. Make sure you come see it. Um it's so good you might want to come see it twice. Um, but we're going to do two songs for you tonight. So our first one is going to be grease light overhead lifters and four walls a fuel injection car and chrome later With the full feet on the floor, you know without a doubt that I'm going go through your supreme scream like My room 30 wasn't shock. She can be the super. You know that I ain't. She's a real drag wager. Going >> lightly. You also shine. go. Go sliding through. >> You must dream lighting. Our last one we're going to do tonight is we go together. And this has most
007of the company from our cast. Yeah, sorry. We go together like forever forever. She wants you up. That's the way it should be. Yeah. We're one by like our names are sign up. Shy, we'll always be like one. When we go out at night and stars are shining bright, I'll bring the skies above where you can find a baby. Shake shake shake shake shy SHOO SHOO. We're for each other and just like my brother change. We'll always be together. Yeah. Jesus again. Um, student board member report will page. >> Yeah. Um, so obviously we have the Greece musical which is a pretty big thing for all of us. Um, other than that we've have our winter sports wrapping up. Um, wrestling is sending two um, one of the boys and one of the girls to
008state. Cor Frederick and Aiden Kaiser. Um and then we have a student who was all Ohio a number of times. Um Brook Weisnaugh and um altogether just a really good sports season. Um I don't know if you have anything else to mention. I don't know. So if you >> all right um public participation on agenda items only. We don't have anybody signed up here. Um, superintendent report. >> Okay. Before I start, I just want to mention um under the direction of our uh band and choir and theater people, the many of the people that you saw there in in that uh cast were in the wind ensemble or the corral group this weekend that was at OMA district competition and both got an excellent rating which is fantastic. So was a lot of the lot
009of those same kids. So multi-talented So, uh, for the superintendent's report, uh, move to approve the one-year additional duties contract for the 2526 school year to Jessica Benson New Hop overnight chaperone level zero step zero. >> I'll move. I'll second. >> Uh, any questions? >> Call the roll, please. >> Mr. Benson, >> Mrs. Stepp, >> yes. >> Mrs. Russell, I'm sorry, Mrs. Inennis. Yes, >> Mrs. Trice. >> Yes, >> Miss Dodge. >> Yes, >> Miss Dunn. >> Yes. >> Motion approved. 30 and one abstension. >> All right. And next, uh, treasur's report. Justin, >> thank you. Uh, recommend a resolution to the board to approve the financial report for February 2026. That is attachment A. >> I'll move. >> I'll second. >> All right. So looking at our general fund, we'll start with revenue. Uh
010through the month of February, the district received $16.3 million in general fund revenue compared to 19.1 this time last year and 16 million in fiscal year 24. Uh the district's on pace to collect slightly more tax revenue than its historical average. Uh the reason these numbers seem off a little bit is because of timing of when we receive advances and when we receive our first half settlements from both Erie and Lraine County. Um, you can take a look through here on our historical revenue by category. Um, you can see exactly where it is. Property tax, it's down compared to last year. Uh, right in line with where it was in 2024. Again, it's just the timing of everything. Public utilities right in line with where it always is. State revenue slightly higher on the unrestricted,
011but then again lower on the restricted side. Uh, state reimbursements slightly higher than they were. And all other re all other operating revenue is lower uh compared to last year and the previous year. Two reasons for that. One, last year we sold the building and we also received our Apple reimbursements for reselling our our laptops. And then also number two, um we had a little bit more tax revenue then and interest rates were a little bit higher then as well. And so we were able to earn a little more interest uh the previous two years than we were this year. Moving on to food service revenue. Through the month of February, we've earned 541,000 compared to 482,000 last year and 488,000 in fiscal year 24. Food service should continue to collect its historical average revenue.
012I added athletic fund in here as well, just because again, it's something the board's going to want to keep an eye on throughout the throughout the rest of this year and next year as well. Uh so through the month of February, the district received $126,000 in athletics compared to 103,000 at this time last year and 122,000 fiscal year 24. As such, the athletic fund should continue to collect its historical average revenue. And then looking at all funds through the month of February, we've received $18 million compared to 20.7 at this time last year and 17.9 in fiscal year 24. Moving on to the expenditure side, looking at the general fund through the month of February, we've expended 17.8 million compared to 17.9 at this time last year and 17.8 in fiscal year 24. As such,
013the district can expect to spend slightly more this year than it did last year. Uh the historical cost by category broken down again, you can see salaries are in line. Insurance and retirement is down. Uh and the reason for that is we received a premium holiday this year whereas before we have not. Uh that's really the main difference other than capital outlay. This year we did buy uh two buses that were bought last year but showed up this July. So it hit this fiscal year instead of last year. Uh but there again 17.8 17.9 and 17.8. So our spending has been pretty flat the last three years. Moving on to food service through the month of February. We've expend We've ex extended um I'm sorry expended 724,000 compared to 701,000 last year and 575,000 in
014fiscal year 24. As such, um we're on pace to spend more this year than we have uh than our historical average. Looking at the athletic fund through the month of February, we've expended $130,000 compared to 140,000 last year and 136,000 in fiscal year 24. Uh the district's on pace to spend slightly less than its historical average. Looking at all funds through the month of February, we we've expended 20.2 million compared to 20.1 million last year and 20.9 uh in fiscal year 24. And then looking at the cash side of things through the month of February, we have a total of 7.4 million in cash in the general fund compared to 17.4 million at this time last year. Um and then 15.6 million in 24. Again, the big discrepancies between 17.5, 17.4, 15 million and uh
0157.5 million like we have this year is that uh last year the district transferred 7.6 million from the general fund to a capital projects fund uh for capital repairs and replacement and then also the timing of our taxes. Looking at food service cash through the month of February, we have a total of 40,000 compared to 183,000 last year and 328,000 in fiscal year 24. And on the athletic side through the month of February, uh we're negative4,000 in cash compared to -37,000 last year and -14,000 in fiscal year 24. Uh when you add everything up, uh all of our cash through the month of February, we have a total of 17.4 million compared to 20.2 at this time last year and 18.7 in fiscal year 24. The last page there just shows you a breakdown of
016where our cash is by fund. Uh, believe it or not, the most amount of cash we have right now is in our capital projects fund. Second, a close second is our general fund. Uh, third is is our scholarship fund. And then fourth place, we have the uh library bond fund. Uh, moving on to the investment side through the month of February, we've earned a total of 526,000 uh in interest compared to $466,000 at this time last year. Uh that's a difference of $60,657 or 12.9% more in interest this year compared to last year. Any questions? >> Just a note on table B3. I think there's a typo. It says service athletic fun. >> Yeah, they changed it online. I forget they changed yours is already in there. All right. Um, call the roll, please. >>

And B, recommend a resolution to the board to approve the amounts and rates for tax year 2025 collected in 2026. And that is attachment B. I'll move. >> I'll second. Um, this is the annual tax budget. I've already gone over this, sent this to the county auditor. The county auditor gets their signatures. They send it back to us. This is the resolution that we need to approve. Then I'll send this back to the county auditor saying we accept their amounts and rates. Um, I've checked all their math. Everything seems to work out. Okay, that's all. >> Um, call roll, please. Mr.
