Mary's just three and we can take a look at the way these two teams shape up against each other and you could see st. Mary's yet to win a game this year while discovery Canyon is split there's and I don't know quite what to make of tonight's game yet Ryan I'm glad it's early in the preseason you see that st. Mary's has not won a game yet but they bring back all five starters from a year ago they should be a better basketball team a year
002ago they did beat discovery Canyon so tonight the Thunder has something to prove their one-on-one they had a win early in the season and a tough loss to Longmont but give them credit Longmont was in the semifinals of the state basketball tournament a year ago so this discovery Canyon team is better again it's an interesting matchup that's why I'm looking forward to the play should be fun to watch Gabe Calhoun will be the player to watch for st. Mary's averaging about 15 points a game and Darren Whisman averages about 20 for discovery canyon so a couple of key players we'll keep our eyes on well I think the player to that we really need to watch the success Seth Clausen for the Thunder not only does the add a verge twelve and a half points

Mary's defeated Discovery Canyon they got basically their whole team back as seniors discovery Kane's got some experience back to though well they've got four senior starting tonight and just the lone sophomore but you got to watch out for that lone sophomore Darren Whisman averaging 20 points a game a real leader for the thunder of Discovery Canyon but you have to talk about the Saint Mary's pirates starting lineups they all played together a year ago you have to think this summer they were playing some basketball together so they theoretically should be a much improved team this year but until they throw up the ball here in just a second we're gonna find out but I agree with you Brian should be a pretty

008for the Thunder early going at three to at six six he's got a pretty good-looking shot from out there you expect him to be camped down around the blocks on the paint but the big fella knocks it down from way outside Belton over to rydell retail up top and Saint Mary's will work it around back to Calhoun leading scorer for the Pirates inside nice move again gets the roll and it's Gabe Calhoun for discovery Kane three he's playing tough he is not afraid to go up against that six six flail and and Gabe Caleb Blackburn at six seven he is going inside the big guys and he's making it work for the Pirates so far outside shots missed and Blackburn again pulls it down with the long arms again outside shot up won't go chase
009Rogers with the rebound Clausen can't get the shooting touch yet I'll swing it to Wisman Wisman outside groped Ellucian shot up won't go here comes st. Mary's on the run it's stolen micro dilution good job getting back defensively for Kayla he goes inside puts it up Rodgers with the rebound in the bucket DCC back on top st. Mary's early they missed this one rebound and run down Belton hit the ball they say Ron eager hit it over his back it'll go out of bounds or excuse me that was Zach Anderson hit it he goes out of bounds so st. Mary's will have the ball Anderson another tall player for discovery Canyon at six six a junior so they have a lot of big fellows there in the paint and the Pirates have got to figure
011out a way to hit some of these outside shots and not rely on the inside game so much Connor Timmons dawn Hartman and Joseph Braun occur in the game for the Pirates that tipped up by discovery candy pulled down by Wisman who is been on the run grote Ellucian on the right he'll get it trying it after Rogers goes out of bounds Rogers talking to Wisman about the pass and wait for me let me get my hand so let me get set before you make that pass but you have to like to look by Wisman he's not always looking to score Brian he's looking to find his teammates as well Timmons on the side that's Cartman work it inside they would call it on on belton and moving screen arguing a little bit about it
