001Can we have roll call, please? >> Director Cooper >> here. >> Director Culliver >> here. >> Director Dona >> here. >> Director Hzowski >> here. >> Director Hunter Rue >> here. Roberts >> here. >> Thank you, ma'am. Please r for the pledge of allegiance. Pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Is there a man standing for a moment of silence? Thank you. >> Good evening everyone. Thank you all for coming to tonight's uh agenda review meeting and voting meeting. We appreciate you all. Sorry for the delay in coming out. We were discussing personnel items and executive sessions. We appreciate you all. Um before we get into everything else and public comment, information,

002everything else. I want to give a quick shout out to our botchi team for winning their game tonight and are now officially the district champions. So, congrats to them. I believe they will go on to now play in March. Um, I believe they're all going to wear their gold mills to school tomorrow as well. Um, but congrats to them. Um, if you don't know what botchi is, it's sport mixed with or special education and regular education players and students and whatnot. Um, and they come together, have a good time, um, play a sport that they all tend to love. And what I'm what I'm hearing and being told, they've been passionate all season long. They've been happy all season long. They've been really knocking out of the park, which is why now they're district champions.

003So again, congrats to them. Any public comment related to agenda items? None heard. Items for information to Mr. Mr. Reid. Thank you. I'm going to share my screen. I hear it. All right. All right. Is that up for everybody? All right. Um starting off with the financial reports um that we give to you guys monthly. Uh the monthly payable list. So if there's any particular check or vendor that you have questions, please let me know. Um the balance sheet report that reflects the district's assets, liabilities, and fund balance for all funds. The bank balance report that captures the monthly bank activity. Our revenue account summary report provides budgets to actual for each general fund revenue accounts. And then the expect expense account report that provides good report at a higher level on where the expenses

004stand by function and object code. financial status. This just shows um the graphs of the revenue summary and the expenditure summary from the reports. And as you can see our revenues um at this point we are 90% complete for the revenues coming in the taxes and level taxes. And then state and federal we're at 43%. And the graph there showing um point out that for our expenditures as you can see salary and benefits continue to be one of our highest. And then the purple which is the 500 other service that includes mainly our charter school tuition that goes out. Some uh business office updates. Uh we're still currently um in our early process of working on the 2627 budget. The next uh update for the board will be March 19th. Our PTE 363 is updated

005and and submitted after the state um new cyber tuition rules. and for our cyber tuition for the district went down where we're at a savings of $835.72 per traditional cyber student and then $5,551.70 per special education cyber student. Um as of the last board that was approved from the board, um we moved the $5.8 million to the general fund um from the general fund to our fund 33, our restricted capital reserve. And then also $386,920.92 that was transferred from the capital project fund 39 again to the fund 33 to consolidate our restricted capital funds. And then after um we will close that account with FNB, the Steven Foster building at 800 Russellwood. Um we're still waiting on the solicitor and the lawyer that's working with the buyer um to get us a fixed closing date.

006The district is working on applying for this year's DCED grant. That's the grant that is for public schools improvement grant. So for our capital projects, uh the March 19th board, the 2425 audit, uh Mr. Turnley will be out for his presentation for that. for the board. We're working on accounts that will be needed to be reconciled um with a recommendation for some budget transfers. Um it's on this board agenda for this evening. And then also we completed the year-end taxes, sending out the W2s and 1099s and working on our current quarterly reports that are going to be due. Any questions or concerns from anybody? Uh this is uh director Hunter Rue. Hi. Hi. Um could you go back one slide uh for a moment please? >> Uh yes I think >> um for the capital

007improvement grant the um D >> DCED. >> Yeah. Um do you have a sense of how much they award for those grants? So, um the district can apply for uh up to $5 million. >> Okay. >> Um which which is our plan. Um the way it works is if you apply for only one building um which currently we're looking at focusing on the junior senior high school. Um you can do multiple programs under them uh uh multiple projects under that umbrella and that's the plan right now. Um we're working on with facilities um Mr. Simpson uh putting together all those bids and getting everything to put that out. >> Okay. Thank you. You're welcome. And then uh my second question was just on the um revenue accounts >> um list. There were two accounts that

008have no label for what it is. Um but there are amounts listed. Um are those part of the things on the agenda that are going to get moved somewhere? Mhm. >> Um it's item 7530 and 7590. Um there's anticipated revenue uh for the first line item and then there's year-to- date received for the second line item, but there's no um indication of where that money is supposed to be coming from, I guess. >> Yeah, I'll look at that. And then the 7500s, that is um our our state revenues um generally. and what had happened might have been um and I'll have to look I don't I'm sorry I don't have a form in front of me right at this um >> but I'll look and get back to you on that is that um generally

009some of those funds where we they were put in the budget on that line item um that we anticipated but when the state sends it out they send it out wonder what code they do it and then when we get it from the state and put it into the system and receive it we put it under the code that the state has it. So when we do our uh end of year close out and everything that it goes it reconciles with what the state does. So that that'll probably be something one that we're looking at more closely for next year's budget to make sure that we're in line with the money what we anticipate and what comes from the state and then two that that we have this one corrected. >> Okay. Thank you so

010much. >> You're welcome. >> Any other questions? Thank you, Mr. Agree. >> All right, let me stop sharing. >> Now we move on to reports and presentations. Up first, we're going to have Mr. Michael Petra Gala, director of school security and emergency update. >> Thank you, sir. Good evening everyone. Can you all hear me? All right. >> Yes sir. >> Okay. All right. So, while we get this started, I'll I'll begin here if you don't mind. All right. We always start off with our mission, and I really want to drive this home tonight. The Sto Rock School District prepares students to meet tomorrow's challenges in a rapidly changing world. We empower all students to reach their highest potential by cultivating critical thinking, high academic standards, and strong, positive relationships in a safe and secure environment.

011Right? We take care of that part. Then our educators can take care of everything else. Okay? Our practices and policies are shaped by respect, kindness, integrity, equity, accountability, and honest and ethical behavior. Our core beliefs, we believe in partnership with the entire community. We will empower every student to reach their potential as a lifelong learner who's a responsible, ethical, productive, and compassionate citizen within the global community. our academic priorities. We're looking to significantly increase academic achievement for all the students by ensuring that we have a differentiated approach to engaging all learners in a rigorous and aligned curriculum that clarifies our academic model and its core instructional non-negotiables and to significantly increase academic achievement for all students by aligning a robust professional development structure that is responsive to the promise of high academic standards. Tonight's executive

012summary is going to provide high level of the district's activities and performances as of February 2026. It outlines key safety, climate, and discipline data, highlights major accomplishments and ongoing strategic initiatives, and identifies areas that may require board review guidance or action. As we progress through this presentation, if you look at the uh the big screen there, you'll notice and this will follow the remaining slides as well, the data on the left hand side, excuse me, is from August 1st, 2024 through January 31st, 2025. The same time frame this year will be presented on the right. So as we look at the top five incidents by type, by coincidence, they were the same incidents last year as they are this year. The variable was the number. You can see the uh the highest incidents both years

013were class skipping. The next acronym is physical aggression. The next is defiance, insubordination, non-compliance. Below that is disruption. Below that is out of bounds. um simply not being where you're supposed to be at a given time. You'll see the numbers from last year to this you'll see the numbers from last year to this year change slightly. One of the things that I think uh Chris, could you go back please? There we go. Okay. One of the things you'll notice is the uh the change in numbers. And I can tell you that that data suggests that we've spent more time. I don't want to say more time, but we've we've really drilled down this year to make sure that we're doing a lot more. Thank you, sir. All right. Is that any better? We've really drilled

014down this year to make sure that we're being a lot more um aggressive in our reporting to make sure that our number uh you know accur accurate and actionable data Chris next slide please. Excuse me. Okay. Incident location. What we did was we took a cross-section of the most common places in the school build. So, the hallways, the classrooms, the buses, and off-campus. And you'll notice the number of incidents in those areas. Um, again, the data really suggests there there are similarities from hallway to hallway last year to this year, to classroom last year to this year. So, again, I think the change in numbers, that delta that we're seeing, Am I Am I too close or too far? Okay. But again, I think that's attributable to the the way we're going after uh reporting

015the data, right? Trying to be more thorough, more efficient, and uh and accurate with our reporting. Next slide, please. Okay. The discipline data again, same time period this year as last year. This I think is is very interesting. So we contrast the number of inschool suspensions from last year to this year, out of school suspensions from this year to last year, AED-wise, uh placement of students this year to last year, and expulsions. If you look, these are as as similar numbers as as we're really going to get. So that suggests, you know, those numbers are telling me that we really haven't had any type of major increase in in uh say misbehaviors for lack of a better word. Chris, next slide. Thank you. Comparative data. What we've done here and this this slide will cover

016out of school suspensions. The next slide will be the same breakdown in category for inschool suspensions. So the column in the middle that's our district numbers. So for example uh on the far left general education the district numbers and then the next column the number of students contributing to that number. So by example that 119 instances that was by 73 students and so it goes across the board. If you look at those numbers, the number of students year-toear is very very close to the same. So again, we're not having any kind of major um increases or anything like that. >> But before you move on, I want to add something. I think it's important and I want to highlight this slide. While people are saying that some things are out of control and it's all

017the students, I think it's important to identify across the street the district, it is a small pocket of students that we're working with. The other piece I know while u Mr. Petraala said while we're capturing data, we noticed that there wasn't a full capture of data last year in documenting. The other piece that is you're going to see a misalignment is that if a referral is submitted and it's a fight and a physical aggression, you only needed one of those. Additionally, if you and I got into it, that's really one incident, but they're putting them in as two separate. So, the reason why this is important, it doesn't tell us where we need to focus in or how we need to be ensuring that our data is really saying what's really happening. I've asked people,

018I want everything put in there because we can't identify which direction we need to go in. If I have people not putting in data, not putting in accurate data, or we notice that people weren't aware of like if it's a fight, you don't need a fight and a physical aggression to go with it. Or if a kid is upset and kicks over the chair, is that really physical aggression? And so you'll notice and we'll talk about in the coming months how we want to align our handbook with levels that actually define what an infraction is because absent a definition I could be picking the absolute wrong thing and painting an incorrect picture of what is really taking place. And I think it's important. I'm a person that believes in public display of data. It's our

019data. We own it. And how do we get better if you're not putting up real facts and figures? So, I just wanted to highlight that and thought it was important that we share what how many students does that equate because when when you're hearing people it's all your students, that's a that's a false statement to make in an unfair characteristic or characterization of our student body and I know they don't appreciate it. >> Thank you, ma'am. Thank you. Okay, Chris, can we go to the next slide, please? All right. Now this is similar format only representative of inschool suspensions versus out of school suspensions. And once again, you know, we we see a very similar pattern. The number of students contributing very similar year-to-year uh broken down by the same demographic uh information. And uh

020again, I I think that was a very good observation uh that Miss Coleman put out was we're trying to eliminate the subjectivity in in the in the reporting matrix. Right, Chris? Next slide, please. Okay, what we've done here is we've gone by grade level, most common incident, and then the outcome of that that behavior so to speak. So last year our uh four categories uh 9th grade, 11th grade, fourth grade, and kindergarten disruption, physical aggression, physical aggression, and physical aggression. The consequences, the common outcomes were out of school suspension, inschool suspension, out of school, and out of school. Moving on to this year, you notice that the transgressions were skips, out of bounds, and out-of- bounds could be very, very similar to a class skip, depending on your interpretation of it. You're just not where

021you're supposed to be. One count uh one incident rather of physical aggression. And you'll see that the uh first two with our with our 10th and ninth grade out of school suspensions and then the other two were uh meetings and disciplinary action. So uh you know again I mean I think this is a a it's a catching slide. I mean it says a lot. Chris, may I have the next slide please? Okay, so threat assessments and again this is um last year versus this year at the primary center six threat assessments last year five at uh this year at the upper five and eight junior senior high 25 now larger number but last year the way we recorded it we had two guidance counselors that were running the threat assessments for last year pen and

022paper we didn't move to an electronic system like we have now and it was pen and paper and the matrix that we use you know approved by PTE it's a very very thorough uh flowchart those flowcharts begin some of them they they end very quickly if you close that loop there's no need to go any further so that higher number that number suggests to me that a lot of those okay this happened a comment was made guidance ran those uh you know they they asked the questions to the right participants and what they determined was it was not credible so it closed past. So, you know, more of them. Since then, what we've done is we've uh formed threat assessment teams in all the buildings. And when uh when something of uh you know, that

023kind of magnitude comes to our attention, the team convenes, we go from beginning to end and we bring in all uh it's a multid-disciplinary team from our um director of student services, myself, guidance counselors, our our inhome uh visitor. So very very thorough and you can see the numbers are um numbers are holding and at the case of the high school they've dropped. >> Yes ma'am. Absolutely. So let's say for example um someone hears uh you know like like an expression like you know there there's a confrontation in the gym. Die I'm going to kill you. That type of thing. So what happens first is is it credible? What was the context? Context matters. And again, when we have our professionals in guidance, when they start to talk to the students face to face, is

024it credible? Do do you have the means to execute your threat? Was it a threat or was it words spoken in in haste? I hope that answers your question. Yes, ma'am. All right. Thank you. Yes, exactly. May I have the next one? Okay. Radio calls. Now you notice last year they were not tracked. This was something that we didn't uh take into account the last year. This year we've broken them down by category and these are the radio calls that our security team answers on a day-to-day basis. So you'll notice the major calls versus the minor calls. A significant um change there. Okay. Major calls would be anything like um a fight breaks out, security assistance is needed, room, whatever. uh physical aggression that might escalate to a to an actual altercation. Anything that's deemed

025um you know when you hear that call like I need assistance that that's what that represents. The larger number, the minor calls, that's basically everything else that security has a hand in. So for example, uh may we get a bathroom unlock uh we have a visitor coming in needs to be screened. We have um phones to be distributed. Several of our students are on um work uh programs so they leave school earlier. So you'll call security because we secure the phones. Um so that just shows all of our you know movement around the buildings for what we would consider to be like a routine task. We have the next slide. Thank you. All right. Safe to say update. Last year when I got here in October um we had safe to say but when I

026contacted are you all familiar with with safe to say the anonymous reporting structure. So when I when I contacted them directly and I said, "Could you give us, you know, I'm I'm trying to sign up. It's telling me our school's already in it, but I can't access it." So they wrote back and they showed me the rosters of the folks who were on it and a lot of them were already gone. So the one thing I will say, these folks were fantastic. I just wrote back, I'm the new director of security. This is who we have per building. It was like that it was done. So and then they sent us some really good marketing materials, things like that. So, it's not used as as as often, but since uh last year, what we've done

027is we've put the um link more prominently on our website. And I've got some modules of uh very user friendly modules of instruction that we can pass on. It's two different types. One is for uh faculty only so that they can watch it before they present it. The other one, it tells them like why they're doing it. Then the other one is grade appropriate so you put it out so your students understand it. But it's not just for students, it's for everyone. So if a member of the community hears of something and it's it's anonymous and the first level of screening is done by the Pennsylvania State Police operators uh working for them. So if it's um online, you'll have a screener actually there chatting with the person who's uh reporting. If it's over the

028phone, it's the same. So that that first line of of scrutiny is very um uh thorough and appropriate. So if it escalates, you know, we can react to it. Next slide, please. Okay, emergency operation plan review that's on the calendar um primary center will be in March uh upper in the junior senior high and that'll be a review with building administration security team um to go over the emergency operations plan so that we have uh it should it shouldn't just be a binder. You know, that's that's the one of the things that comes up in my final slide is we shouldn't look at our EOP as just a red binder that sits on a bookshelf, right? And the review and the training that will follow on from that review is uh is something that we're

029going to really press for. May I have the next slide, please? Thank you. All right. So, the safety drill updates uh in addition to our monthly fire drills and our our last remaining bus safety drill of this year, our security department will schedule the following events. In March, we want to do building lockdown drills, uh, Alice training. We'll conduct those in March. In April, um, building evacuation drills. I thought that was always and, you know, that's also represented in the EOP. Doesn't always have to be an act of of violence. Far from it. It could be any number of things. It could be a natural disaster. It could be a gas leak in the building. It could be anything out of our control. But, you know, one will will harden our posture and lock down.

030the other one will get out of the building and we'll brief the drills with the security and administration at each building in advance and then we'll coordinate with local law enforcement and run these like we've done in the past but we'll make sure it's uh it's done properly. Next slide, please. Okay, so our next steps uh infrastructure updates. We're uh renaming and relocating some of our cameras. relocating is is just a very very few to renaming. Interestingly enough, one of the things that we noticed was the stairwells used to be colorcoded. So, in our in our um menu, it still refers to them as pink stairwell, green stairwell, blue. And yet, what are the doors? Doors are numbered, aren't they? Right? So, now it occurs to us while we're looking, we're like, "Hey, I'm at

031door nine. That's stairwell 9. So, we'll we'll get on that. Uh EOP review coming up. Um again, we want to make that EOP uh a living system, not just a binder. We want to continue to measure the incident trend data so that we can prevent violence long before we respond to it. Okay. Um you you want to be proactive, not reactive, right? That's just the way to to be. Uh our goal is to build a layered intelligent prevention focused system that protects students while preserving the educational environment. Right? We don't want to make our building a fortress. We want to make it a place that children are students are comfortable to come and learn. May I have the next slide, please? And that's it. That's all I've got. >> You know, at the end of

032everything, I always put a article for folks to read and so it is embed. You don't have to click on it. Everyone will have has access to it. Just school. It's about information about what does suspension really do? Does it do more harm or good? Um just so that we get more educated about you know the point of discipline is to teach right you know and so and ensuring that that is why we're doing it as a teaching mechanism not as a gotcha mechanism. Thank you, sir. We appreciate you. >> Thank you very much. Report. >> Thank you very much. >> Up next, we're going to have our student board representatives come on up with a student board representative report. All right. Can you guys hear me? All right. Good evening. Good evening, school board,

033Mrs. Coleman, administrators, students, parents, community members, and teachers. My name is Garren Sone and I'm accompanied by Dornell White. We are extreme we are extremely grateful for this opportunity to serve as a student school board representatives. These last few weeks have been very busy for our students, staff, and community members of the Stock Senior High School. Since the last time I had the opportunity to greet you all in January, we had our first major winter storm. We were snowed in for a week, but they did not lose out on our learning thanks to our teachers being able to teach virtually. Students logged in from Chromebooks at scheduled class times and we were we were able to do and submit assignments using Google Classroom. It wasn't that it wasn't it wasn't hard for us because our

034teachers use Google Classroom all the time. In my opinion, it wasn't too bad. However, I prefer I personally prefer learning in person because we can cover more topics and materials that athletics athletes athletics yeah were were thrown off a bit because of a storm. But all teams strived and came back with a hunger for the game. Girls and boys basketball and our Bachi team all qualified for playoffs this season. And the baseball and track teams are now starting their practices for the spring season. It definitely adds a hit of Vikings pride in the air. All right, Darn. Now, you can take it. All right. Um, I have the events that occurred. Eighth grade had a trip to Parkway on Friday, January 23rd. 80 eighth grade students and Miss Reed, the seventh through 9th grade school

035counselor, attended Parkway West Career and Technical C Center's Career Exploration Day. Students tooured the facility and participated in hands-on learning in their top two areas of interest, exploring career opportunities in the trades to prepare them as they arise to high schoolers next year. On the first day back, we had our first signing day of the year. Senior Ariana Johnston committed to Point Park University on a full scholarship for flag football. Ariana is the first in Point Park University history to receive such a scholarship. On Friday, February 5th, no, on February 5th, we had our first ever schoolwide award assembly. Well, first at least for the first time since I was here. We had we had it in the gym since the auditorium was closed, but the honest but honestly the bright lighting and stadium seating

036in the gym really made it a lot better. We got introduced to the storewalks alma mater and Mrs. Davis challenged us to have it memorized by the next awards assembly at the end of the quarter. So many C students received awards from honor road to highest honors to perfect attendance and even some effort awards specifically designed for uh students by our teachers. All of our winner athletes who completed the winter seasons were also recognized and rewarded. It felt good to see the whole school celebrating the positive accomplishments of one another. Also on February 5th, the National Honor Society and Future Teachers Club wrote letters of love Valentine's Day cards to elderly living at Heritage Valley Senior Living. Myself with five other Starox members of the CNX Mentorship Academy attended a field trip on Wednesday, February

03718th to the Eaton Experience Center in Warren. We had the opportunity to see firsthand the latest advancements in electrical power quality, energy management and safety as well as career pathways in electrical field. Now we have the upcoming events. The spell it like it is spelling B will take place on Wednesday the 25th. 57th through 9th grade students will complete. Their ELA teachers have been working with them throughout the month to learn and practice the word list. Signups will officially close tomorrow during the we did it Wednesday at lunch. So if you need extra help, meet with Miss Tyra or Miss Kelly or Miss Ashley after school today. No, after school tomorrow, 2 to 3. And the fourth annual soul celebration will take place next Friday the 27th. This is a reading focus event where students

038talents will be showcased through the arts of music, dance, poetry and artwork. Computing uh community providers and vendors will also be there to present um engage students in meaningful cultural activities. Get ready for an experience event filled with culture with culture, creativity, and power performances. The junior class will be happy to know that the National College Fair that was originally scheduled for January was cancelled due to the snow has been rescheduled for March 24th. Other than that, that's all I have for you. Thank you. Congratulations y'all. Got a proud mom back there smiling and everything. That's what I'm talking about. >> Love to hear that. >> Yeah, good job. >> That was amazing. And I also want to add to your report if you don't mind. Flag football also has begun which is officially essential

039sport this year. And them girls are getting active already. So we're looking forward to a great season in flag football as well. Thank y'all very much. Up next, we're going to have a recommended new hire. Introductions. Up first, want to have Mr. Brian Style, custodian, Upper Elementary. Please come on up. Just tell us who you are, where you're from, Wester Rock, etc. >> My name's uh Brian St. I'm from McKe Rocks. Lived here all my life. Uh uh what else do you want? Why why why this position? >> I graduated here and I've lived around here all my life and I picked this job. You know, I like to clean society. Thank you. We'll be voting tonight. All right. Thank you very much. Appreciate you. And up next, we're going to have Jont Green Miller.

040Come on up. >> Hello. Hello. How you doing? >> Um, I'm Jay Martin Green Miller from the Keys Rocks. Um, I'm born and raised here. Um, I'm here because like like I'm I'm big on the community cuz the community helped me like as I was growing up. So seeing kids like look after me like that's what I'm here for. So that's what I'm here. >> That's what I'm talking about. Good to see you. >> Appreciate it. >> Love to see it. Congratulations. You vote in the minute. make you want to cry though. Now move on to our nongus and agenda. Any questions for board meeting minutes? Wave and approving the reading of January 22nd of St. Rock School District board directors voting meeting and wave and accept the reading of January 6 2026 the voting

041meeting minutes of the Parkway West Career Center technology. Any questions, comments, concerns. All right. Next, we move on to financial management. I pass it back over to Mr. Reid. If if you don't feel too well, sir, you don't have to. I'll pass over to you anyways. Let me know. >> I'm I'm good. I'm just here so I don't give anything to you guys. >> Yeah. >> So, um All right. Uh yeah, first one is just to approve and ratify the uh list of payables for um since last board meeting. Second is um approve the deputization of Tracy Peterson, the McKis Rocks uh burough tax collector. Third is to approve the financial service agreement between AIU and Still Rocks district from February 1st through January um 2026 through January 1st, 2026. That's the shared service agreement

042for um the uh new financial systems. Uh four is retroactive approve the PA gasoline and diesel consortium with the AIU for the 2627 school year. Five, approve the authorization resolution to apply for the DCE grant that I spoke about earlier for the um grant program for 2026. Six, the board of directors recul retroactively authorizes the director of buddings grounds to publish requests for proposals to support the following capital projects to complete at the Still Rocks Junior Senior High School and referenced in the district's application for the public school facilities improvement grant. The district is seeking partial funding with anticipation submission of the grant application no later than March 13, 2026. The um requests for proposals are ongoing repair replacement of plumbing systems and component parts, upgrade of upgrade of select boiler system components, replacement of

045read my notes. I'm sorry. >> So a few of the um a lot of a few things were voided. It was like void dude. There was like maybe five. What like why were they or like you don't >> I don't know why they >> I think you were referring to payments that we had ready to submit that had to do with something legal and so it was out of the 90-day timeline so we needed to void it and then reissue it. >> Was that right, Scott? >> Yeah. Yes, we had um payments that we were waiting for our solicitor to um authorize us to submit. >> Okay. >> So, I have a question and I didn't catch it anywhere else but just on the um agreement for number three with the AI like what's our

046legal address? >> 1105. >> Is it 11:05? I think >> there's multiple addresses >> because office used to be >> right. Yeah. So, >> but I've seen 600 also Russellwood as well >> on some of this stuff. >> The current paper that I have the W9 that was filled out for that was submitted to IRS, our legal address was 1105 Valley Street we had listed. So, I think for number three, I believe our address was um on the hill >> 298. >> So, I don't >> um Yep. >> We can have them correct. >> Yeah. I just didn't know like is it dependent on where we're at or is it just a legal address for the district? We're slowly trying to get everything back to It just where we physically are >> because there are

047quite a few things that still show two different addresses. >> Thank you. >> And there are multiple I've seen it before too. Multiple addresses that's been like 600 Russell for some reason. I don't I don't know why it is that, but I've seen that. >> So I know when we do our Dukane light bill, there is two of them. And I believe the way they had it listed um was because we have electricity in the main building and then there's electricity that goes out to one of the um buildings outside for athletics out there and that that we pay electricity out there. So it's it's listed as the same address but it >> makes complete sense. Thank you. And do you have any comments or any feedback at all for a general statement of why

You know, I'm not one to cast dispersions on anyone, but this is why we brought the business management inhouse. Um, sometimes line items were created instead of seeing the line item that was already there because that takes work, >> ones were just created and funds were put in there. So, we're going through cleaning all this up to ensure Scott talked about making sure our codes match are in alignment with what the state sends us so we're not having to continue to do this cleanup. >> Sure. Um, and so that's what we're doing,

049moving things and consolidating them based on where they should have been in the first place. >> Appreciate that. Thank you. >> I can and there'll be more where we're as we continue to clean all of these up. >> Yes, ma'am. >> But we want to be transparent, of course, as always with what we're doing and why we're doing it. >> Thank you, ma'am. Are you online, Jasmine? One more call for Jasmine Kirkland. Not heard. All right. Up next, we will move on to Mr. Luigi J. McFerson who has a public comment for tonight. Good evening. My name is Lu Jay McFerson. I am the marching band director for Stoox um High School.

059My address is 322 McKinley Street, Pittsburgh, PA5210. Um I was informed that I was going to be removed as a marching band director. I would like more clarification upon this. Since I this is my third year with the the group, I have I started off with nine students. We have grown to 24. Since I've been here, the band pro marching band program has grown. The marching band program has turned into a competitive band as well. Um the year before last, we went to state championships. We came in first as state champions in festival class last year. We went we were bumped up to group one. We came in seventh out of 17. These are the only two unfortunately these were the only two competitions the band went to. But once again these were state championships.

060I have a program put together for the upcoming season. I have students who are excelling in whatever it is they're doing, music, color guard, percussion. Um, in this group and other groups as well, this past summer, I had two students go to Indiana you um state of Indiana for marching bands of America summer symposium. They spent a week of intense training for um marching and color guard. Um, I went as well under the um, marching band director and the color guard instructor um, format this coming year. I have six who are planning on going. Um, if they go, they're able to apply for scholarships. Last year, we all went and we all applied and we all made it. Um the students who are planning on going at this point are on point to get those

061scholarships to go. Um in a nutshell, I would like to find out more information from the board um if the athletic director can fire me because I was hired on as through the music department. Granted, I'm teaching the marching band, but it doesn't one doesn't seem to work with the other for me. The other thing is, as I said, I have put together a very successful program. Um, the group is growing and moving forward. It has cost the the school very little. I have done everything I can to make to minimize every cost for everything we've done. And I have an independent group which I which I have gone to and taken some of my own materials and monies to make sure that this band program is successful. Um yes, thank you very much. >>

062You go sir. Well, I was just going to say um following this sir, you're going to hear from either a superintendent or a solicitor um and >> almost the same exact thing. I was going to say this. Thank you so much for your comments. Obviously, this involves a personel related matter. Um but you will be hearing from us. We appreciate your Thank you, sir. All right. Our next scheduled meeting will be Thursday, March 19th, located at Parkway West Career Technology Center, 7:00 unless otherwise noted. After that, we're back here. And then after that, in April, we're at the Focus Renewal Center. Have a motion to adjourn this meeting. Have a second. Means journ. Thank you.
