I generally answer the questions at this time. If anyone has questions. You know why you're Yeah. >> doing the borrowing, so the only thing that I always have to say is, you know, there's a lot of plumbing that gets done behind the
010scenes. Excuse me. Stand by the mic so people might so they can hear you out there. There's a There's a lot of plumbing that's done behind the scenes. There's a lot of paperwork. Um DCD approvals, barring base approvals, all that stuff. Um and the process was seamless between DelVal, ourselves, and Mr. McCue's office. He's a professional. Like everything ran really really great and um the process was really good. So everything's going to get done and you're going to settle before the end of the year. You're going to be all set. I think we said May 23rd think is the closing. So the funds will transfer on the 23rd. I think you answered my question. Yeah, I I just would for everybody so on the 23rd we get our money, all right? And that in full.
011And then the clock starts ticking and we can invest you know, we can use the what we need, but we can also invest while that settles balances and so we can earn a little interest on any money, all right? Correct. Yeah, and I was at the meeting and you got you were you did a great job. You've done You've done so many with other schools and uh I would just have tell them other board members like many people it's nice to have your your home paid for with no mortgage. Yes. But that's not the way uh schools have to run cuz they have to constantly as they build and loan and those loans fall off, there's still lots of other things that they have to do and I appreciate you kind of being cognizant of
012that. No, I tell people unless you run out of kids, you're going to have a need for a physical plan, right? There's going to be a need for some kind of physical plan. Yep. Whether you're Penn Salem or Bristol Township or Bristol Borough, you need to provide a physical plan for children just as much as you need Title 1 education money. So, it's just part of it. Well, it's become the new reality as well. And that's why we're at where we're at. >> Right. Thank you very much. >> You got it. >> I just wanted to thank Mr. Murray for all his help. He was seamless to work with them. It was a great honor and Delval's been great as well. Okay. Thank you. Thank you. >> Thank you. Thank you, John. Sure. Okay, so
013I think we need to move to Yeah, we voted on it. >> Yep. So, let me go to item C. >> C. Mr. President, I make a motion to approve Bristol Borough School District Comprehensive Plan for the year 2026-2029, Induction Plan Chapter 49, the Professional Development Plan Act 48, and the Gifted Education Plan Chapter 16. Second. Second. Mr. Buckley, you want to Any questions? Uh Dr. Davis, you just want to like there's three different things in there. You just want to kind of explain them. >> Uh yes, Induction Plan is For new teachers? Okay. Okay. Uh coming into the district. Which one is? Induction Plan. Okay. Okay. Professional Development is what we do all year long with our staff and administrators. Uh that's Act 48, they get credit when they attend those programs and activities.
014Uh the Gifted definitely everyone the name speaks for itself, the Gifted Education Plan uh specified for certain individuals that meet the criteria of being labeled gifted. And that was all done and led by uh Chad Evans. >> Chad Evans who will >> From the IU, right? >> After tonight, uh uh the board president has to sign the signature page. Ms. Moore has uh will upload that and the rest of the other things that I have. >> Okay, yeah. And and and he did a great job and I didn't even charge you for that, right? >> No. No. Okay. Thank you. >> the way. Uh and also uh as as you can see, that's for 3 years. So, that when the first person come on board as a superintendent of schools, that person don't have to

Okay, Mr. President, I'd like to make a motion to approve the following depositories for the 2026-2027 fiscal year. Penn Community Bank, PSDLAF, and Mid Penn Bank. Second. Second. Mr. Begley, um any questions? I got a question. Okay. Chris, do they give us preferred rates on any savings? >> Yeah, we we Over the years, we have. So, PSDLAF is just kind of where our state subsidy comes in at, but the main bank is Penn Community that we deal with. Mid Penn, we just have cafeteria funds, which is small amount. It's all under 50,000. But, yeah, our Penn Community, we negotiate it every year based off of where the market is. Yep. Yeah, and and all I will say is
016that, you know, Mid Penn and Penn Community, they're they're banks, they're local banks. They always support our kids and and so, look, let's do business with them. It's not like they're they're gouging us, right? And so, it's good for the school district to have a relationship with these local banks. And then when our cheerleaders or our softball or you know, go there and they want an ad, you know, they'll they'll give them an ad for their book, right? That's just smart move, Chris. That's a good move. All those in favor? I. Nays, abstention, motion carried. Okay, Mr. President, I make a motion to approve the following medical personnel for the 2026-2027 school year. Paul Raven, DDS, school dentist, $525. James Daniels, DDS, school dentist, $300. John Pickard, DO, school physician. And the athletic exams are
017$10 each. Second. Second. Any questions? I I would like I do I have a one question. The This $500 is that per year? Yeah. It's unbelievable. And it's based off of the them. And so for John Pickard, that would be for each student that had to come for an exam, that's $10 each. Okay. Like for the sport like you said before. No, and and and and it's good that he brought that up because so Dr. Raven, what is what is what is the difference between the two? Dr. Raven comes here and you know, what is it and Dr. >> Yeah, he assists Carolina and Amy with with the students' exams. And that's a good thing, man. That's a good thing. And that's really cheap, too, you know. That's very cheap. And again, Dr. Raven and
018Dr. >> He's both in town. Both in town. Both in town. They kind of do that that they've been doing it and you know, I mean, I know Julie down here, there's nothing nothing kind of you know, when a young kid growing up if they had bad teeth or they needed teeth, then they get and so it's important, man. That's a big thing that makes them feel at home and makes them want to come to school rather rather than want to stay home cuz they're embarrassed. Those are confident. It's a good thing, man. Good thing. All those in favor? I. Nays, abstention, motion carried. F. Okay, I make a motion to adopt the uh 2026-2027 school district calendar and that is as part of the attachment for the extra package in the board. Second? Second.

And this is educational? >> Yes, this is educational. They have to present a plan to you. Well, I My My only other question is so we're good. So that's going to be starting for in June, right? They are July. So what you got to do is she
021could take her pay and we got to bring somebody in. So have we done the we'll do that. And is that for the whole school year? >> Yes. Next season, yes. 26-27. All those in favor. Aye. Mr. Leone, any questions? >> Yeah, I I have a Why are we going with part-time? I mean, I don't we're losing a full-timer. We're already down two other full-timers. I I just Is this individual supposed to replace the full-timer? We would advertise what he we didn't accept his retirement yet, but once that we would rehire that position, Jeff. The right now we have part-timers one out, one left, so we're short two in part-time. Am I So then
022you'll be looking for a full-timer. Correct. I'm not saying one way or another. I mean, if you got a plan, you got a plan. But I know we lost two full-timers. We're going to lose another one the end of the year. And we're only going to hire a part-timer. Well, no, then we're going to hire a full-timer. They're replacing We'll advertise for one full-timer? Yeah, but who are the two that we're missing? Oh, Vinnie Niche and We rehired them. You did? >> Yeah. Oh, yeah. Wayne? Yes. Oh. Yeah. Okay. So they've been already taken care of. So the only one is you're replacing the the um part-timer and then you'll do the full-time one once they accept his You hired already hired two full-timers? >> Yes. He did? Yes. We're going through so much, Jeff,
023we can't remember it all. >> to one. I I I didn't know. I missed it, I guess. Well, I wasn't here. You're here all the time. Yeah, well, I did miss one meeting. All those in favor? Aye. I've often heard it, If you need anything from this board for that program, please let us know. Don't hesitate. >> Thank you. Yeah, cuz this is beautiful. And you deserve a lot of credit for steering that program that way, too. But I just want to say one other things. Yesterday at the unified track meet, Jimmy had winds that he was going to get hired.
