I'm in the process of working with Chad who is who handles all the strategic plan and many other duties at the B County and it's as part of our uh plan. I'm working with him um to get a um put a new strategic plan, comprehensive plan together on behalf of the Bristol B school district which will carries for at least three more years. So one of the things that I have completed was the FID which is the flexible. So when the new person comes on board that
person don't have to worry about the inclement weather because they had that five days of F FID that I got through and was approved. This one the comprehensive exam when the board approves that in the next couple of months uh that is uh when is approved that is for three more years. So therefore that that comprehensive plan will go to 20 uh 2029. All right. So everything will be in place in terms of those bigger bigger bigger uh projects. Uh I am now working on the uh schedule for the 26 27 school year. um as I've done every year. That way when that's when the new person comes on board, the the school schedule, the calendar would be completed for the 26 27th school year and then the new person can take it over from

Um it's a uh great mentor program that they have and then they invite us to the match and our our wrestlers actually sit um Matt side during the um during the match. So, it's a pretty really really eye opening cool experience. One thing I do want to add that I I I didn't I got late notice of is our mock trial team. Um our mock trial team did a great job uh yesterday and there was a couple awards uh given out. Uh the best advocate uh went to uh Lawrence uh Randelle and our the best witness went to Leola Leila Stilner. So I want to congratulate uh those two uh

And it, you know, thank God everything went safe and and I and then hopefully we're all we're all good at the school now and everything was checked out. Are we going to have it like double checked or something like that? Somebody I did hear that like even though they came the Pico came and then somebody came in to fix the stuff and then some someone talked about another >> Well, there'll be a followup. >> Yes.
>> Possible reinspection of everything >> that's being discussed now. >> Okay. >> But but I would like to thank the administration and the and the schools for such a great job. Um, I also want to congratulate the students who have committed and or signed um our our athletes and our um our seniors in general. Um, it's an
exciting time for them to know what that next step is going to be. Um, and also again just commending um and thanking you Nick um and your administration for continuing to support mental health, mental growth um by working with the women's place. Um it's always one of my I would say one initiative or an initiative that I feel very strongly about um taking care of a child's mental health. Um and I'm excited to see how that program um goes for >> great people. >> Um but but that's it and thank you. >> Thank you Karen. >> Mr. Pillo. Yeah. I guess I'll piggy back off of Brianna like to thank Nick Fuel Week did a great job doing a great job for everything. And I'd like to thank the custodians and the cafeteria workers which
you know a lot of times they get overlooked too but they do a good job too. >> Thank you Dr. Pel Jeff. Yeah, I just wanted to say uh great job Julie and her staff uh what could have been a crappy uh situation and all the cooperation from the students and their parents uh worked out okay. That's it. >> Thank you, Dr. David. >> Yeah. And I just thank the board for the opportunity to come back a second time as superintendent as a graduate of Bristol High School. Um definitely it does send a lot of messages when you you have students that come back and work within the district because kids see that. Trust me, they do see that. Uh uh time is going fast, but while I'm here, I'm going to continue to do
what I do and uh get things done for you. Okay? Uh I know what needs to be done, how it's to be done. uh and till my last day uh when that person comes in uh he or she will not have to worry about jumping on board quickly to get that things through PDE because PDE right now is short-handed. So right >> uh I can just let the board [clears throat] know those [snorts] things that need to be done will be done. Thank you. >> Thank you, Dr. David. Thank you, Doc. You're >> welcome, >> Mr. True Love. >> Uh yeah, thank you. Uh spring training is not too far away, thank goodness. Um, but on a serious note, um, I know Dr. Davis has, uh, some time left before his retirement becomes official, but
I want to say that I've really enjoyed working with him and obviously the whole administration in the last several years. And um, when you do leave, I'll miss uh our conversations and our work together. So, thank you for that time. >> Thank you, Mr. D'Angelo. Okay, just a couple things about uh with our sports. Our girls and boys basketball teams have really been playing good. I mean, I it's it's a shame the girls were lost by two the other day. They played a really great game. They fought back. But the great thing about it is that night the girls and boys went up to uh Sandy's Beef and Ale and they had a radio TV show that they were on and anybody wants to see you could just go to WBC on YouTube and it
was 11426. But the reason why I say is I watched it and I tell you what, our kids our kids represented themselves well and they represented the school well, >> spoke well >> and they did they did very well. So to that and they're both doing good. You know, our wrestling team is really doing well also going around. I see they're going to be going down to the UF. >> I do want to mention uh a track. His name is Fino. All right. >> Mhm. >> Okay. Justin >> Jasper. He hasn't He hasn't He hasn't committed yet. >> What's it? >> Jasper. >> Yes. >> Jasper ran a 430 mile. >> 439 and broke. He did. And so that's >> unbelievable. He's a senior. >> And I'll tell you what, I don't think he hasn't
been running that long, has he? >> Couple years. Yeah. >> Well, let me tell you what, man. That is uh that's impressive. And that's hopefully that gets him uh some college will come look at. >> He broke the school record. >> Yes, he did. Okay. And you know what? All that in a bundle, I would like to to say to Mr. Pops, thank you. Cuz [snorts] all of that goes around because of him >> and he and he's there all the time. I see you there, too. But all these kids are competing, competing well, representing us well, and Mr. Pops is is the the motivating force behind it. >> Uh, as far as what happened here the other day, I would say congrat, you know, great job by Julie, Dr. Davis. This is like you've
had a couple lockdowns, haven't you? And the close out. Yeah. But but just think about it for a minute in light of what happened over at uh >> Silver Lake. But here's what that shows a flawless thing that you had to do when it really meant something when it could have really been a disaster. And Julie, your staff, >> if if that person doesn't pull that fire alarm or somebody says, "Ah, you know, I don't it just ignores it." and it tells you that you follow your people are following the rules and doing it right. It's all about safety and a lot of times it goes overlooked and I and I see around the community that the parents are very thankful too because that's a harrowing thing and uh and so congratulations on that doc.
>> Uh it's only fitting that you get to do one of them in your last year but again it's a test it's a testament to you too. You have to be decisive. You have to do And again, man, the the whole county and the world saw that we were able to avoid something and who knows what that could have led to. So, congratulations on that. Congratulations on a great crew here. I'll be coming to visit you down and bring a team. Uh, so get the house ready. And uh, that's all I have. Thank you, Mr. D'Angelo. Mr. Stillner. >> 439. Wow. My best was 449. >> Who would have thought? But joking aside, [laughter] >> joking aside, Dr. Davis, congratulations and I I appreciate everything you've done uh and will do. >> Uh I appreciate
our time together and whenever we spoke. >> Yes. >> And I actually miss sitting next to you right now because >> Good next to this guy over here. [laughter] >> Congratulations. >> Thank you, >> Dr. Davis. I also like to extend my congratulations to you >> and wish you the best. Yeah, >> but you're not going anywhere yet. We still have a whole the remaining of the school year to go. So, >> that's right. >> But, uh it must feel nice to know that you're going to go and retire and enjoy yourself at the beach. So, good for you. I'd like to also congratulate the athletes, the basketball teams, and the wrestlers. They're doing a terrific job and they're just representing themselves, their families, and the schools tremendously. I also truly truly truly you and
your team did an outstanding job. >> Uh I I believe there were three areas that had the same issue >> and the shammy was one of them. But Bristol was the only one that was on the news. It was on all three channels. And I'd like to also thank the owners of Grundy for allowing us to bring our kids over into that building. >> And props to them. But you and your team just did a terrific job. So let them know. We know what they did and we're proud of them and they should be proud of themselves. With that said, got a motion to journ. >> Motion. So move second.
