say I I I any opposed same sign motion passes 6 okay sorry I don't know science the ma yeah I think that's where he goes I mean I questioned that too I didn't know what that was for so so that's a student that goes to the Math Science Academy of haes which if they do that we have send our base state to hay and I don't know about Spence I don't know to check with Bobby but there was a reason that we did it I don't remember I don'ts Parker refund lunch money that's we took it out of fund 24 and we took it out of I know I think that we get Revenue we got Federal money for his meals and then he going to the academy so we had to take that turn

that around and give it to I mean got to pay her back for that but I can't tell that's a right reason I don't know there was something so if he gets paid dollars to set of 22 that's just a so we got money because of the status for meals for lunches they pay out for his lunches well if you're depends on your status for parents depends on your status we get reim from the federal and the state on lunches depends if your status is fre or reduced we' get reimbursed both by the state and the bed why would that go directly to her then it go to her or it shouldn't go to her it should go to she paid something did she prepay her bills I don't know I don't I don't do

that that' be the only thing does say I'm going guess I'm going to guess she may have did he just go this year to the academy I don't know that sorry the only thing I can think of if she prepaid his bills and he went to the academy and we Ed money she has had a boot service too so she would know that we'll find out i c it's a refund it's their own money it's coded refund it's you want to not approve these until she ttable that's a good question Ian I don't know it says refund you're refunding their money back to them but in the account number that she used is student meals 2400 I know that1 so it is from bills it's froms I don't know how she pays unless she paay

a BL some you a time something yeah some do some pay by semester some pay for SCH year yeah so it could be we have to give that back to her because you Dr left school that's what I'm thinking happen she got she PA you rather I sent her a text but she might be that work in in um she said yes we refund lunch money all right let me just I'm not good at texting very fast I don't she we we read quite a few people like when they leave school and stuff or even like seniors or somebody they have lunch money we take it they already have it they ow that money we refund that pair back I was thinking we pay four days that hello Bobby this is Diane we're in the

school board meeting and they're questioning that payment to Susan Parker and you have on there refund lunch money so did she pay that much money towards lunches and then we had to give that back to her we it just seemed to like the large amount so might sure okay okay okay she paid that much money like in the fall or whatever and she was just okay okay that's all we need to know all right God sh okay that makes sense okay very good all right yep it does thank you bye she said it was totally lunch refund she said it could have been money even carried over from prior year that that a balance but that is zero everything out because the the kid went to Haze to the academy so that check is actually

for all the meals that they paid for didn't give that back make sense good question though because usually it's not that high usually it's you know 30 40 bucks any other questions I would in a motion to approve the invoices as presented motion by the bank statement in the computer so we are reconcile district office cash balance is it not there I have the Wilson CPS the high school but not the do I forgot to upad it sending that out like tomorrow whenever just to get ack look at it yeah because there's no action it's just a riew did you no okay no visitors okay KB policy okay I'll go through the recommended revisions on this policy IES the first one is EBD evacuations and emergencies and this is an optional one we added in

sign motion passes it number 10 I just for whatever reason this March meeting is going on on February I have no idea why but I email I texted Toby J pass I have no idea why it's going out on but it's going out if they go to our YouTube channel they'll see okay item number 10 ad of state conference I have a request from the FFA and their sponsor Courtney shamer for the uh to attend uh the National Conference the Wasington leadership conference July 9th to the 14th uh students will travel to wiah Kansas City to fly out and then U the students are responsible for paying registration fee of flights uh there's a schedule that was included also talks about what they hope to do while they're at the in Washington DC uh we

did receive notice that two of the students have earned scholarships won received a 700 scholarship and tayen Davis received a $550 scholarship to help so they do get scholarships also if approved uh we have a donation offer to pick up the registration cost to transport the students to Kanas City trip so I do have that available this is sounds very good opportunity okay so we would need to approve this approve the donation as well right next month next okay pen pening your approve okay so I would move to approve the trip for the four students and they sponsor I have a quick question um do the students sign a waiver like I they're paying for the district is not responsible for it the they all know I don't know if they have a waiver per

se but yeah the students all know that to go that they have to so it is a school sponsored trip though yes I don't know how much the FFA pays for any of that or not I could tell [Music] you I would assume that it's an option and request as far as I know I would assume every student probably was had the chance I think they had the chance everybody had a chance to go everybody knew the cost up front of the so I guess back to my original question since they are traveling you know air anything with being a school sponsor trip what do the district follow us on that they're under our at the end of the day they're under our liability no matter what trips any school sponsored activi is covered underc

even in even in the classroom even in the summer even in the summer all of our kids they we have technically you know it's a camping they still still kind of covered under our for our students and I don't know whether I don't know that we've ever signed I haven't seen or haven't asked that asking about like liability or just not basic like you know when you sign off that if I get hurt doing this I will sue whoever organiz it that's what you're asking at the end of the day you can't give away you can't even sign your rights to sue away but since it's a school sponsored activity they're covered under our anyways motion any other questions hearing none all those in favor say I any oppose same sign motion passes approve Mr

town I'll go ahead and do also an elementary report there uh our students did we had two students of course as I said last month attended DEC me Elementary Honor Choir in winall they did very good it's a great concert uh we do have several teachers taking letters training which is paid by the state it's a science of reading and U we also through the grant we're going to pay them a stip and it's about a two-year process for this letter train and uh it's part of our accreditation is literacy and this is one aspect that eventually we all need to be trained so we're trying to uh get that process started uh our fifth and sixth grades attended the sil music festival and they did a great job I included all the results down

there that the students received from their different groups and ensembles uh we had fifth grade band we had sixth grade band we had fifth grade choir sixth grade choir along with several uh quartets Duets solos uh ensembles and they did a very good job job uh this past week we participated in read Across America we had several reading activities and reading challenges for the students had a little bit of a PE rally on Friday uh they didn't reach we had four goals set we had three staff members including myself that would get a pie in the face and the fourth one would get taped to the wall and they reached their first goal so Mr long ended up with the pie of the I believe on Friday uh so that was good we have no

school March 29th and April 1st for Easter uh Wilson Elementary Spring Concert has been set set for April the 9th at 6 o'clock there'll be an art show but also a special recognition for the Hall of Fame recipients will be that night also we get that out on social media again that's April the 29th at 6 o'clock any questions uh superintendent report uh the HVAC project here at the junior high high school started today preliminary stuff just outside stuff that they could do uh gasline work and some base well putting the bases together and so forth uh also the project uh of the football field a lot of this completed I think it could get finished up this week yet if weather stays reasonable uh we'll have our peer review which is part of accreditation

on April 15th at Smokey Hill service center uh this is a group peer review three schools will be setting and answering questions about your data and what they're trying to accomplish and then on May 2nd CD does what they call a checkin and they'll review our accountability report and uh what's coming up next for next year as far as accreditation uh we also remind everybody we're still taking applications for our open board position to again you can get those at the Wilson Elementary or at the district office the applications U we did our annual applications at a threeyear virtual monitoring uh this month both for Lakeside learning and our adult completion recovery uh programs and they were both approved our applications were approved for next year we attended the lions in service Jerry Brooks was

excellent for our staff they enjoyed that that was a very good in service and this month we submitted and completed four CTE Pathways for the 2425 school what are they what's that what are the uh we have construction uh had always listen uh we have one facts construction it's called business business and Industrial we have one in each of those areas now there's a lot more out there I would recommend that we explore more options for CTE buing by expanding our Pathways if we can the future that's what we have they have to be dead in March the prior year to do year get do we have to have a certain amount of kids ened in those Pathways in fact you don't even have to have kids in those classes you have to offer them

and so like every other year I have to offer that class because not every year you need it but for the pathway you need every other year so and you have to have eventually have that increases your Perkin funding also any board member reports any open Agenda items do you have you remember kind of where we left off on the trap shooting team no are there any updates on the daycare or well just any of it currently talking about this thing currently know Wilson is in operations and kind of I may be trying to write a grant for sustainability on that uh just compensate for salaries but we are meeing to review where we're at CL piece as we this was started the application for the tax credits was started right before I got here

then we went ahead and sold all those so we have 250,000 setting the tax credits that we had and we try to apply for more she said it's the same project so we're waiting to write patteron grants with the Martin County Child Care Program and so we're going to meet have just kind of small committee money we dire Hol you saw Hol say we'll probably either have few tax credits or grant writing uh to try to establish you know been kind of looking to see how establish there building we have to do something new that goal is to try to get some place in every each community yeah so no update on the application of Barton County yet no she we're waiting for the Patterson family grants come open in April many kids are in

the Wilson one's how many kids are in the Wilson because I think they still have three inants three infants are double slots so there's 12 slots total and so we may not be full in the afternoon because I I have so one or two go to threey old preschool in the afternoon so but you know the salary doesn't cover the don't cover the S the sustainability through the enhan yes I can do that I can't do it count I do allsworth count I can't do we know any more about um the state state level they were talking about changing the age from 18 months down to they still they still have that I hope we change that I mean uh some of right now your siners can count 12 months after 12 months they go

on with other slots but 12 slot group home just a home daycare counts as two slots until they're 18 months instead of 12 they haven't changed that rule yet talking changing it down to 18 months across the yes right 12 months 12 mons and also the state's pushing for more funding for daycare right now there's a big push to get more funds for dayare so that could help us else any other open Agenda items items for next month right good look at s or three try to get that still need to get some changes on on that program before we finalize that uh probably personnel school calendar 2425 school calendar be on that also we need to approve maximum enrollment numbers for open enrollment uh the one day senior trip KB membership renewal and supplementals

and I've added trap shooting team and donations is anything Miss that open position how long did that remain unfilled before can that way forever I know the the response to IA is they're not too keen on the application too hard I don't know they just like like I'm notation I I have not looked at the application to be honest I don't know what it entails well you know I mean my opinion is we had to get a do a guideline but if they want to do a letter of application they certainly can and just State why they want to be a board member that's basically the on of the application so if they would like to say have a letter of interest because we take those a lot for even job opening so theyit a

letter of interest it doesn't have to be that application we just wanted a guide okay know I I haven't looked at it I don't think we have no plans to interview I mean some people do do that they could come to a board meeting U yeah and I think the application is uh even though it's at the building at Wilson they can go in and grab one we have them and I think it's online as well on our website under Board of Education so and it has the district and the locations so if they question where they live to make sure they're in the right area but yeah like John said they give show interest we haven't had no I mean I've had some Purge me about it but i' I've referred them to the

district office but um yes I'll definitely tell them can just come and express write want to they just let us know them told just like I'm notation I was just m just he didn't want to do it the but I will pass else I would [Music] ENT motion by second by all those in favor say [Music] I thank you everybody your last June
