foreign eating the order and are there any changes to the agenda I would entertain a motion to approve the agenda um all those in favor say aye aye all of those at the same size motion passes 6-0 so initially we'll go through some things that need to be taken care of approval of the board third and treasurer thanks I moved to approve Diane's board Clerk and Stephanie Peterman as for Treasure okay there's a motion to approve Diane is for the clerk and separate Stephanie Peterman is for treasurer the second by Chad all those in favor say aye aye in the opposed same sign motion passes six zero is that better Jeff okay approval of the minutes for the meeting on 6 28 and 7-5 okay there is a motion by Josh second and second by

Allison any comments questions hearing none all those in favor say aye aye any opposed same sign motion passes six zero and the treasures report any questions foreign [Music] all those in favor say aye any of those same thing emotion passes six years and invoices do you want to have any questions so that's exactly that's just a new movie Just Educational Service Center Hutchinson Smoky Hills just as a reminder when you see an account number in front of those that have an X by it that means it came out of last year's budget those are encumberences that I've already paid so when you run across that account number and you see an X in there that meets this last year's event I would entertain a motion to approve invoices Josh second second by Allison any further

questions very good all those in favor say aye aye any info the same sign motion passes six zero so that conciliation and cash balances um I didn't put the budget summary of funds in there because um we are into the new year we haven't got our budget numbers ready to go yet for the 23-24 year but the cash summary isn't there that shows that we reconcile with the um Treasures report and with the bank we made I guess you can tell America we made a lot of different entries to zero out the money to make sure that the general fund has to have zero cash because you can't carry over any cash in the general fund and we have a cash carryover in supplemental General but um we did the final year in transfers and

Mr Lowry can talk to you about that but everything matched so a supplemental General the reason you carry cash because we don't have authority okay because of the way we do the budget it generated more cash than we had afford even though we republished a general fund and they recalculated the local Ops can never change that you only have a one-time chance the vocal option budget because that's set in stone because it starts taking taxes out for that if you notice on the end of the year transfer some things that we've been first of all uh we're not up as much as we thought we would be I'll get into that in just a little bit but K-12 at risk is up quite a bit because we had required transfers for that and that's part

of that general fund went up it so did local option budget and those required transfers went up significantly sort of cash carry or it's very good that they have risk virtual education I chose to not carry cash in that as much and so we uh back out a transfer and use that to transfer into contingency because we're locked in that money comes from basically graduation Alliance we're kind of locked in if we leave it in that fund and with all the uh audit adjustments you know they were got about 375 000 graduation Alliance so we took that cash out of there put it in contingency which gives important core latitude it's budgeting um so we did back out we found an update that uh daycare fees and expenses had come out of general fund so

we had to move those fees into General as reimbursements and they move salaries that we have and that we lowered the transfer about just under a little less than ten thousand dollars which kind of puts our Day Care loss at about 000 318 since January hope to write grants for that to balance that out one reason we had three inputs up there at one time hurt your cash flow a little bit we don't have as many inputs right now actually this summer is going to be a lot better we don't have the inputs so we got more toddlers so hopefully that'll fill up as you can see uh we're up about 90 000 in operating funds in the capital La other cash balances which is basically Capital outlay we're up about 213 632. for a

total cash increase since decrease of that play um 353 454 increase it's an increase it's an increase look at the history that's about probably the second time at nine years so that's good uh any these are the finals we do you know it's pretty it's pretty well set still emptied out uh general fund and supplemental General and try to most buds are up if you look from last year this year we kind of made all the funds really close to what I think we started this year at work more but that's the final right there we did have an exception to the budget because Russell County has not given us our June payment yet which means we're going to get a payment from the prior year so we had to call the Auditors how we're

going to do that how we're going to record that you did get finally got the 138 . Friday if we should get a check this week but we will have to deposit it and make a special revenue account the prior year and they will record it back into this year because it would affect our taxes because it's love that would affect our taxes if cash so it's in this number just so you know we just haven't got the check yet but it isn't this we know what the number is going to be in a check we just satellite so down here where it says Bond and interest that's been there since you guys paid them and we get a little bit of money every once in a while there for like delinquent or something that's

sitting there for the last Bond you can transfer that to Capital Island time I believe you've been advised to leave it in there if you needed it the board could transfer that to Capital alley foreign State Department event says we should leave in the case River passed another Bond and you wake up generate so much tax and the auditor says oh you should get that out of there just kind of leave it there but yeah this year the delinquency I think the receipt was like 50 bucks so it's slowly you know the checks keep coming in but just they're getting smaller and smaller and smaller people think so pretty soon that won't be able to go in there I mean is there an interest but um yeah switch that up any further questions comments moving

on to organizational agenda so we have appointments that need to be made you can make those all at once if you'd like or you can make them individually you need appointments for the official depository of District funds which we've used first Kansas Bank the online activities and payroll Bank of poly rude the federal abortion and Wilson State Bank that a new account there are online activities first Kansas bank that's a new account we had to open that up to take care of we decided to follow the online enrollment all the fees deposits the disbursements are going to come into a different checking account it's easier to reconcile we didn't want to throw that into all of our regular other accounts so we set up a new that's where all the fees would come out of

two probably almost like the entries then so is there any further any questions about all those appointments for the banks and the title officers treatment officers as you can see presented we also have the appointments for the policies and resolutions foreign motion by Allison and second by Josh are there any further questions or discussions all those in favor say aye can you pose the same sign motion passes six here the policies and resolutions there's a District inoculation policy the family rights and privacy non-discrimination policy resolution of the destruction of Records resolution for principal's accounting and so on as you can see presented in your online packet is there a mistake of the 37th Century Fair mileage this this action and later on as it works out yes if it's in this action it's not correct

because put it mixed with that here so should that be changed here yeah that's not anything that's not envy yeah yeah it's C it's in C it's not in b which we're looking at policies and resolutions action items and organizations next that's what we have to set up the mileage rate is it's not in a b right it's C right and see those are individual questions yeah so we got it down there too approve the policies and resolutions items a through J as presented for the 2023-2024 school year so motion by Allison so and then second by chat any further questions or discussions hearing none all those in favor say aye aye the opposed same sign motion passes six zero now on to organizational and procedural each one of those require promotions for each item

the governmental relations and the professional development those are just appointments so and so on so and so was pointed to served unless you want to make a motion and we listed there who we did it last year so a is board member to governmental relations Network Jr any volunteers where does that involve it's getting lots of mail but okay I move for Allison to be our board member went into the governmental and relations Network second and second by Josh all those in favor say aye aye any opposing Senate motion passes six years board member representative to the professional development committee that was Chad so do you need a motion let me get a worship for the first 30 minutes I would move to a point camera as well erosion by Allison okay Josh all those

in favor say aye you need to go the same time Institute for you she appointment yes okay thank you cash funds I moved to approve the petty cash funds and set limits as follows one thousand dollars at Central Plains Junior Senior High School 500 at Wilson Elementary School 1000 at the USD 112 Board office at 500 at Central Plains Elementary School is in motion by Allison and second by Chad any further discussion hearing that all those in favor say aye the opposed same silence emotion passes and on to District my library for reimbursement for the 23 24 school year 50 cents recommend 50 cents for employees and 56 from parents okay consistent so it does stay on here 22 23. well he's saying what they were this last year was 50 cents for staff 37

for parents but then the recommended motion is the 50 Cent 50 Cent yeah you know what the price increase will be roughly just like an average I think we had 11 parents transport this year two trips outside is that what we pick or is that what the state gries on that no and you can see you guys I didn't know if we did or if that's what the state recommends or that's what the area is so that's it I have 12. yeah we can at that point look decide which way I didn't know if that's why we did that that price or we're gonna do it I think it needs to be consistent I guess right kind of looked around it would be competitive okay that's why I was like surrounding districts probably a little

higher so do you want to have that function made up here and you want to have the discussion I think we need to set that we should make a difference in that discussion down below I think of whether you want to do it or not but I mean because it's pretty close so it's kind of look forward to there because you wonder what are the other it's not an option it's one or the other it's important I think it's going to what you're going to pay it before you decide which way you're going to go so let's say like reimbursement rate per mileage from the state changes drastically Chase states are already a lot higher or like gas prices go up quite a bit can we change that any other time during the year or

is this time that you can change that anytime they've been paying 37 cents a while for parents since 2010. never changed but this is the first time I recommending to Pump It Up and gas prices over the last 10 years yeah yeah you know sort of knowledge it's still below this thing that's I don't think the state tells you what you have to have parent mileage fee they recommend I think if it's not a law or say if you have to pay this is a board decision other questions or comments about changing the mileage rate same version right if not I would enter hand motion to increase second by Allison all those in favor say aye can you improve the same time motion passes 6-0 and then there is a review of the organizational chart

you have the chart there called lines of responsibility you could call it chain of command also we talk about a chain and command bottom up board superintendent principles I think we missed something the flow chart for the dispersion of District property that's what he's talking about oh okay that's just to read this is just a review we did change some name titles or represent what we're actually doing and also anything under the principles it's not in a hierarchy at all that's just all those yeah it's all it's not a certain order underneath the principles I think this is the same one except we've just changed a few names like public relations food service that's a better description of what we have any questions about the trading brand s okay then on the item because first

of all the dispersal of property valued at 500 or less so this is just to allow Mr Larry to this person items property buying lessons without more approval are there any questions is this a new nope it's always the same right no change I would entertain a motion to allow property less than five hundred dollars so motion by Allison second by Chad all those in favor say aye aye can you put the same thing motion passes recognition of visitors sorry for my delay earlier too I was having almost a school in that appointment time okay just a reminder again that I will call on visitors to speak you have five minutes if you plan to give your time to someone else please notify us and this is not an opportunity for back and forth discussion

um so much as just an opportunity for you to address the board with any thoughts or concerns permanent at this time first one is Kristen Kirsten Christ sorry foreign [Music] what I'm speaking on tonight is later in the agenda so I'm going um to talk about how um majority of the junior high coaches still on the bush and proposal for moving Junior High Sports to Bush gym I just wanted to thank everyone for taking their time to come here tonight and a huge thanks to our board thank you for all the time you put into a volunteer position to support our district I am Kirsten Price and I am a junior high volleyball coach and kindergarten teacher in Hollywood tonight I thought it was important that I speak on the topic of the city of

bushin and Bush and Rec proposal so you the board understand how majority of the junior high coaches coaching staff bills I'd like to focus on three words during this quick speech these three words are teamwork support and unite this is my first year as head coach for junior high volleyball and teamwork is something I strongly push for I don't only teach the girls how to better themselves but also teach them how to better their skills and teamwork the junior high coaches feel that this teamwork that teamwork we could put together to allow us to use for junior high to use the facility that is well kept allows us for more space and consistent scheduling the second word support our athletes wouldn't be where they are if it wasn't for the support behind them that comes

from their families teachers peers coaches and the community I believe going through with this proposal shows communities um shows communities being able to support each other why not allow a community that is a part of our district to fill a part of it again it takes positive interactions to build relationships and to be able to show that we have support for each other and third word unite I come into this District as a quote-unquote implant and when I interviewed for my job I had just lost my grandpa my grandpa was a huge impact on kids and his community Jay noser asked me in my interview why I want to work here I was honest with my answer and I said well because my boyfriend now husband lives here and because I want to be a

part in in these communities such that children or her children and so that I can teach them and Coach them for that so that they can remember me and what I did for them that's why unite is such an important word I came in not knowing anything my goal for this district is to re to teach to not only teach my students and athletes but also be someone that showed support in every Community involved in my district was thinking about those three words I have done a lot of thinking and communicating I and Jesse have had plenty of talks and we believe not only does this help us as volleyball coaches but it helps other team sports in the Bushman Community again thank you for listening always with an open Year we hope that you

consider this proposal and find a way to see those three words in a way to strengthen our communities you're good foreign ER yes okay I'm Jesse happier a Bushman resident mom of two Central Plains Elementary students I'm the three-year-old preschool parent at Central Plains Elementary and junior high volleyball coach assistant volleyball coach for central plains this upcoming year I'm here to say a few words on the agenda item 16. I would highly recommend our Board of Education consider the Bushton Plaza as a location for all Junior High Sports practices after talking to the coaches I understand that the girls basketball are already practicing at Holly room so it doesn't really interfere with the scheduling and the other practices already in session and I would also like you to consider to have all the home games

there as well the football field gym locker rooms and Commons area are exceptional and why not help a community in our school district fill a part of the district again I think it is a positive thing for everyone involved with everything going on now we need to find ways to come together and keep our communities feeling included as best as we can Kirsten Price and I visited with each of the Bush and Rec members Bush and city council members and everyone is very supportive of this idea I appreciate all that each of you do as school board members as I know it is not an easy volunteer position to take on the things you endure and deal with does not go unnoticed thank you for your consideration on utilizing the busha plaza facility for junior

high sporting events foreign uh I don't have anything written down so I'm just going to wing it I've been coaching Junior High football for four years I did prior to that with Coach Potter in Boston so I know the facilities it's nice it's gives a kid I'll give the kids I feel a place to feel like they're got their own spot here just so you know game night we moved to the high school locker room because we don't actually have our own spot so they've got all their stuff up after school they haul it over they put it underneath the benches because the high schools had a practice so all their stuff is out in their lockers so we really don't have our own little place and then volleyball triangular comes around they either tell

me to cut practice short remove my stuff to coach the high school Walker so I just I get bounced around a lot and I think having our own spot in Winston would really help my kids feel like hey this is our stuff this is what we got if we do get lucky enough to get a bunch of kids from Wilson to come which I've coached in the past now we've got that issue as we've got more kids space is an issue that that Junior High locker rooms half the size of what you guys are setting in right here it's tiny we get more kids I got less room over Bush then there's two locker rooms there's coach's office there's a storage facility I'll have more room everything will be a little bit more efficient and

that's really where I want to go with it if at all possible if we can sway you guys to do it it'd be great like I said they've talked to the city guys I've talked to the right guys I've been involved with the peewee football for years I go over and mo with Matt Hurley I help Dan Wimmer take care of the field John or Chad Roger's been over there we do a lot over there it's a good place and I think it'll help a lot so thanks for your time [Applause] Alan Hurley early three years ago when I started the coaching the Junior High boys basketball at that time I practiced in the rec building here at the high school and share today gym over at hollybrood and there were times when we started

the week we we did not know which gym we were going to be practicing at and on Game Nights it was a little disruption for everybody well two years ago we made an agreement with the red commission over there to do our have a coach's office that I can work out of don't have to shuffle my stuff back and forth and so it has worked out real well for the students as well as the coaches now the only hiccup we have left is that on Game Nights whether it's volleyball or basketball the high school is impacted because they have to change their schedule they have to come in early or do a late or I'm not sure exactly how they do it all but it it's one of those things that it's just a disruption

this District as a whole has produced some very good uh extracurricular activity programs the football basketball volleyball all of them track within the total District have done well and I think it's just one of those things that we could do make one more addition to the program that will make it even better and if it's I might say it I've had uh two or three of the bus drivers come to me since we've made that move and is that I am so glad we did that because we have a regular route every night and it works out well for us so uh I hope you consider the this I think it will work out well uh the football field itself for a 1A a division one or two one a or even 2A that the

football field will rival any any field in the in the area I think a year ago we've we hosted a game for two teams one was out of eastern Kansas and one in Western Kansas so they came to Boston comedian and their comment was that it was the best field they'd played on that year so they do a good job of keeping it up I think it'll work well for them thank you [Applause] Laura Miller okay uh Jeff Watson anybody else sign up on the wrong form at anybody else want to speak all right okay moving on to the revenue neutral tax rate review Ed a little bit the last week as we prepare budget uh as you know the new law that came into effect few years ago we need to publish whether going

to be Revenue neutral not military Revenue so normally evaluation goes up Revenue goes up no Levy stays set steady the neutral Mill Levy stay steady is in the general five going to be lower than 20 bills so for that reason they accept general fund because we have no control over 20 bills Statewide we do have control over local option budget and capital Island when I first started looking at this I felt there'd be no way to be Revenue neutral because our evaluation went up about eight million dollars but also I did not realize for the first time at Central Plains history Central Plains we've never received state aid state aid is based on valuation of students and what I did not realize is our graduation Alliance adult program students have been added in and calculated

as a three-year average because that three-year average we're going to get state aid this year with the increased valuation of state aid it appears to me we're going to be very close be it Revenue neutral at this time it appears our abilities are also going to be down my recommendation from way I understand it is we're going to be very close in local option budget I would recommend that we go ahead and notify the county clerk that we are going to exceed the revenue neutral rate have the hearing at the hearing decide whether to pass a resolution or not if we hold the hearing and choose not to pass to exceed revenue neutral the clerk can raise a mill Levy if they made an error on our evaluation if we don't have a hearing and

they made an error in our evaluation our military can only go to that point of what she said was being Revenant neutral okay so my recommendation is to uh my consensus is to exceed the revenue neutral rate and hold the hearing and review it at that time which will be in the September meeting right prior to budget period at that time we'll have time by the budget completed and reviewed and have better information we've been working on this couple weeks so so that's where we are with that any questions as far as the revenue neutral try to explain how that works when I first started I didn't think there'd be getting like to not exceed revenue control after working the budget call on the state to figure out finally found out we had state aid

which was something new and this is just a consensus it's not going to be a motion because we have to let the county clerk know by July 20th and we're going to exceed she has to know that from all the districts so basically we're just going to give her a tentative notion that we are going to exceed but your final decision will be at the hearing in September so we just have to let her know so she can be prepared and then like you said if there's any kind of error on the valuation of any type it will be caught before you know we actually have it here I don't think that so with errors like for the county on valuation do you know if that comes into effect like when people contest their evaluations

yeah so if they could test it and a lot of times there is some people that could test their taxes but also the valuation itself based on put on the neuron to get into gas and oil yeah it's based on January and production and so forth I mean it's pretty complex 80 million dollar increase in valuation is pretty significant so that's your reasons a little bit uh I think we need to go through the process and make sure yeah that we could fund our budget equipment I'd like to say better to have the capability to do it and not need it and what need it I'll have it okay it's everybody agree to that by consensus yeah okay so moving on to item number 11 student insurance recommending first agency uh cost a dollar fifty

per student for a catastrophic insurance policy kasb and that's not like activity interests or is that is in the past we've had where parents can opt by Insurance yes I think you still have the option to do that but this will be in excess of 25 000. this is catastrophic so it's an option some schools do more you're required to catastrophic this is the same as any other questions or comments a motion by Josh to approve and the second by Allison all those in favor say aye aye any opposed same sign motion passes six here item number 12 Wilson transportation we reached out to each of the people that we transported that the parents are eligible to be paid for transportation I will tell you well still can no matter what we will continue to

transport doors to Wilson Wilson to Claflin but the question is the parents getting to those locations it's very close the majority wanted to be paid and it's an all or none the more can choose to go ahead and do door-to-door I will tell you this about only two or three in the Wilson Area eligible for the boards area to do bus routes looks to be like in every two routes to get those 11 parents increase I think increase that the mileage will help parents also but it was sliding a favor to go ahead and get paid as parents instead of having door-to-door pickup two and a half miles away from the Attendance Center so we're the numbers there was 11. and so it was Supply that wanted paid for for transportation and two either one

would be okay so they said sometimes we do this and sometimes so they're okay so that they were kind of the Splitters about one take opportunity to go either way so very slight very slightly so it come down about nine unless some people move or kids but if it's time and we sit down and document at the end of the school year to those parents tell them how many days we had school and so forth so they could sign off on it and reimburse them yes each semester so we could pay there for that mileage thank you are there any further questions or comments hearing that I would say that there's going to be no action taken other than the increase in mileage that we already approved and we will continue with the pickup points

for transportation and paying parents mileage I might just put that in advance as a consensus yes but that's okay okay okay item number 13 the curriculum quote uh this is a quote that we wasn't adopted about two years ago uh I did expand it sixth grade through 11. uh at the quest of the principles and looking at it and also my instructors seniors do a lot of English cup uh so it'd be six through uh 11. and a lot of it is several of it a lot of it is online it's a six year subscription for that uh you see the cost there of uh thirty six thousand two fifty five which I need to do a transferred a textbook revolving fund to kind of cover the vast majority of that cost that's appear on

the cost no that's six years that's for the six year period at the end of the day I will tell you a subscription will cost you about what a textbook cost you over 6 don't think good about it online it's updated and they have some updates they just going to the online and updated there are some hardback copies and teachers editions and also the consumables are free they're giving us per the quote that's what it says consumer needs are free any other questions and we do have a rotation set up also kind of protects books yeah kind of we need to kind of review that probably get back onto a schedule and a district-wide adoption I would entertain a motion to approve the quote for the 6th through 11th grade English language arts curriculum for

the savvas summer Emotion by Allison second by Josh any further questions or comments carrying none all those in favor say aye I in the opposed same side motion passes six zero item number 14 the carpet quote I've got three quotes which I'd like we do those unlike promotion for each one of them um looking at four classrooms at the Central Plains Elementary at holyrood uh looking at the uh Music Room at Wilson Elementary and the library in central place high school or classroom those are carpet squares similar to the ones we've started a year ago I hope there's no guarantees where I get this done all this summer I did weigh this a little bit I wonder absolutely make sure that Capital Adelaide is where we were headed before I let it go this way

so uh kind of ask what the highest Deeds were those were the areas that they felt the most attention the quickest you know four classrooms and yeah we've already done some yeah yeah and so they had a schedule for four classrooms we already had measurements for almost all this stuff okay these are quotes not that they will be higher he is quoted at the people who hired it now there'll be less than that would be higher anybody else quote yeah not quote anybody else nobody was asked or nobody was asked that's correct should they be sort of what we've been doing yeah we have any other people within the history sometimes um I did not ask them I could check and see what they would like just asked okay foreign ERS inside of the district

I thought that was still looking back this is used we've used that him to do carpet to work but I never saw any current playing that by defenses they did the bathroom and stuff and Wilson last year because it but I have never seen any carpet light I guess yeah they do so I'll see if he wants to do that much is there a time frame on these no long time frame is getting it done yeah that's a time frame so so could we conditionally approve these if winds does not want to that way all of this time but these are all under clubs you could give me authority to approve a handwritis yeah yeah I mean like you don't have to get it but you can't get it wait a minute Ford could give

superintendent authority to spend up to twenty thousand dollars is that why we're doing it individually now we're doing individually just because I didn't put it out the admit that we had in the district so otherwise I'd have to go outside the haze or Salina to seek others bids and I want to assume that they're giving us as good a deal as they can do as far as I think I'd be in favor of having to reach out to them and see if they're interested but then setting the giving you the authority to move forward so do we need an emotion to do that you mean going into different prices but then to give you the authority so you would just need a motion okay so what's that we're gonna need a date aren't we but

I need to know by such and such day right if we're gonna get down for the summer pretty quick with their clothes just depends on what I call them in the morning what he tells me yeah God want to have he may pick and choose quotes you may only choose one if not all three I don't know which may actually work in our favorite game all done if he doesn't understand the other two replace yeah so I would move to uh Mr Lowry the authority to spend up to twenty thousand dollars for uh location right at each location three areas already voted but do you still want three separate motions the other motion you're on a motion for each building can we consider the vote in August we're spending all this money what's that should

we consider the vote in August well you can't this won't be dead in school if I started school uh that's an option the reason I guess that we do it right now we're going to try to get most of the depth before school starts the other options to have a special board meeting there is emotion on the vehicle there's the second by Josh so in response to worry about the boat in August we still have our budget and still make improvements regardless of which way the boat goes so then Allison you want to to give us a lot of the authority to spend up twenty thousand dollars per location so basically then if he sees that additional pricing and then comes in less or not at all we could go forward with this is what

you didn't have the ability to choose between yeah okay there is a motion on the table from Allison and a second from Josh any further questions comments discussions hearing none all those in favor say aye um same sign motion passes six here item number 15 the HVAC design and proposal complete this for us or three funding we have to have design and good process and The Proposal that we had earlier we already completed the air study and also the environmental impact letter that's been completed the next steps are to get designed for mechanical electrical and structural for the HVAC upgrades and that was in his proposal that we had earlier for 17 750 for those okay so broken out on your online packet is there any questions or comments again if anyone didn't hear that

is Mr Larry was explaining that these are proposals that we have to have in order to pay for this upgrade through answers refund okay I would entertain a motion to improve the mechanical design electrical design and structural design for HVAC upgrades from Innovative groups using the ss3 funds at the cost of 17 750. so the motion by Allison second my chat any further questions hearing none all those in favor say aye any opposed same time motion passes six zero item number 16 the city of bush and Bush America do you have that proposal for you third paragraph it says the recreation will continue to provide janitorial services maintenance upkeep markings to the field of facilities point that out I have some estimated costs for currently so I had I asked about how much pain you

took to Mark the football field that costs us about a thousand one hundred ninety dollars of Labor this is estimated labor uh football estimated 56 hours of custodial labor and I put 20 dollars could be overtime it could not depending on our custodial staff they know what they're doing so that's a thousand one hundred twenty I have about 20 hours of custodial for volleyball but that is 660 dollars for basketball I have 112 hours it's 2240. so the paint and the estimated labor for spending 5 210 dollars without any cost for utilities of gasped above plus we're paying them some anyways yeah and so I got that down too so we currently are paying 600 to practice Junior High boys uh we're currently paying for the clap with the street utility is up to three

thousand dollars which that's almost automatic is 23 000 and also we refinished the gym floor at a thousand seven eighty one So currently we're paying four thousand seven eighty one which doesn't mean that those some of those expenses will sell not all will go away by the way it will continue to practice basketball there which I don't know where the high school is split or not so we'd have to check on that those are just some of them things that we're paying for now so with this proposal are we still going to have the Junior High girls practice at all your Larry would like that it's practice there 50 some years he would not increase our buses because we make those trips just the direction we're moving empty will change we'll change a little bit

we still would make the same bus runs that we normally do it's just that we would have more kids on in a different direction than what you break down like after school instead of taking the boy the lower elementary because filling that up with your high lower elementary coming back with those kids right now let's do that she doesn't take it now after practice and take it home and bring other people just trying to compare to the two different styles so when moving football over to bushing though will that shorten their practice time because they'll have well to me it'd be consistent in that students would not have to start practice at 6 a.m or 7 P.M like we do now currently due to conflict of scheduling and with uh kids from Wilson and be

more consistent start times but I mean you'd be more of a problem with to get here at 6am or several night to be a little bit more consistent for students not having to practice really late I I don't think it changed times for a basketball practice actually it made it a little bit longer because they didn't have to stop sooner to get on a bus at the rec or stop sooner and get on with us you know you know other places I think they're actually their practice time was a little bit longer because they didn't have to do that I was just thinking in football where they had to dress out and learn creams and passes a little bit more than just yeah I agree because I think do they get out a little bit

earlier to get ready for practice or what time do they get on the bus now that you get out start there I understand they get out earlier to start the Run throughout the day so y'all ready to leave a little bit there at the end of the day to make that run yeah so they might actually get out a little bit early well be the same time as a habit for the what's going anyway so at the end of the day it's going to be the same or more at your time and practice it is an annual contract also and you're at a difference of 800 left right now you're at a difference at 800 bucks below the pan person so we don't have electricity or utilities included in that and I guarantee it's more

than that yeah so in a sense you're saving some money here that's what I would say save me some money and so this is and it comes in money saving savings would be the people who work building that's where they're they're covered the cost that fee for their electrical and stuff that they're not going to cover the cost I'm in favor of getting on the shuttle order here do we need emotion on that or it's yes on my commotion the people that the city of admissions proposal it's like yeah there is a motion from the chat and a second from Allison any further comments questions discussion and there's no regulations or anything as far as where we have games or just like they said they host the football game because it's part like three two

songs yeah almost everything it falls into the guidelines the rules for the size of the Court field like a lot of times had to alter where you play anyway funny that is it's altered that because that was a six-man instead of the name so we had it shorten up the field anyway that's where the markets were just a little bit different but they went for a level they were 11 Grand back okay they're just not as big as the right side correct special stuff still there nothing's changed yeah but yes yes for us and sessions okay remember the motion and a second on the table hearing no further discussion all those in favor say aye any opposed same thing motion passes six zero item number 17 bus price increase last meeting we just asked about

grass motor and the cost and we actually did try to bid a gas motor they say they cannot give gas money for those buses they're not producing any larger buses gas burners at this time I can't and it's right now I'm going to tell you this bus looks like it's going to be December or after before it's completed so I don't know I can't tell you what the price of gas Motors will be if they when they start getting so that the choice is to climb the Grant and not do anything or take approved the Grant and go ahead and purchase the plus understanding contract that's kind of the two choices we have to disable that one bus there is one bus that's aging out yeah grass yeah one dates out this year it's too

old which is very old because normally it's been 20 forever now they've moved back in the day looking kind of short on money and they pushed it to 25 years so we're driving lessons five years more than they ever have yeah you only need a motion if you want to decline it yeah it's just that they gave us an increase in the state so they could Grant people said they didn't have any money I mean I researched that and see if we could advance that increase with the 25 percent they can't any other questions I might just know that the minutes that you agreed to purchase yeah adjusted price or whatever okay item number 18 we have a beef donation from pip Farms to accept the donation from Pittsburgh well solution from Allison and a

second from Josh all those in favor say aye any opposed same time motion passes 6-0 I'd like to think Hip farms and all of the people who have generously donated to help our district um that the board going executive session pursuit to the Kansas open meeting act discuss non-elected Personnel for the topic of classified staff and supplementals to protect the privacy and individuals to be discussed with Mr Larry and Mr Mr Sherman present and returned open session in this room we're going to need more 15. so return for junior in this room is 7 35. hi same sign promotion passes obviously [Music] okay his core back and open the session I moved to approve Larry Metro as part-time custodian at CPA es Hollywood Carol steinle as part-time cook at Wilson Elementary School and reassigned Deb

me two thank you everyone gave me one two so I'm getting close I need to double check so I'm going to start reading but then we'll see what direction to go with our daycare uh I felt like a ksde did a good job with informational meetings when they were here last week uh I've been invited to a few more local meetings for him to provide information We are continuing to prepare for online enrollment and online and pay payment coming up uh we hope to uh we do have buttons there on our website they just have been activated or published uh we hope to test it out and that will be August available July 24th through August 4th and we have two days where staff will be available in every building with computers to assist parents

to enroll online if they want to come in and want assistance to do that uh August 2nd it'll be from 10 to 7 and August 3rd 9 to 3. uh there's also a secure link for free and reduced apps for parents for lunches to fill out that's going to be published early I will tell you that it's important as as many people that want to fill that application out it is secure and confidential the more of those we get that qualify the better helps us with state aid and technology and grants along with them getting reduced and pre-prices for meals along with Textbook Rentals and preschool so we encourage everyone to complete those those applications we did get the air conditioner fixed and also again I think we're trying to get up and get the

control straightened out they try to manually adjust some things on the AC up there we did buy a portable unit with daycare funds for the daycare to make sure that uh if it goes off or it's not going to be enough cool that it stays cool I'm going to attend a zoom meeting for the Kansas High School Activities Association on to do it a law that allows participation in non-public students to our school activities our high school activities so they have zooms coming up kind of tell us how that's going to work and the ranks that they've written to for the new bill that allows those students to participate in high secation activities repeat that cash action because that's what that's for okay so homeschooler that's what we're talking about yeah homeschool private uh yeah

in another year as you know we'll have open enrollment too and we'll be setting policies on uh how many kids we can take per grade how that's going to work so that'll by January that limited to Penn State kids in state only in state we can't recruit them out of state that's only yeah only hits state in order to say Thomas Aquinas thank you that's all I am okay any open Agenda items when do we need to let you know if we want to go to the kasp convention um we did Reserve rooms today because I cancel those and I can also cancel the registration uh the sooner you can the better probably but we do uh get one free registration we get five stuffed the same hotels last year that we stayed at Yes
