run when you come to up to tech. Well, thank you. >> Thank you. >> Can I ask you guys a question? >> Do you have Do you wear the dark um mask thing for all kinds of welding? >> Yes. >> I was just curious cuz like >> our shop is ocean approved. So, we call all ocean. >> I'm an old lady and like you you know, you used to have to do that. I didn't know cuz they didn't have all those kinds when we >> Oh, you got to wear them for everything. Yeah. >> Okay. Thank you. >> All right. My name is Braden Elbow. Um I'm in auto body. I did not do a speech because I didn't want to. And [laughter] I figured I'd come in and talk about how I made this

and what I did here. This is a fender I made in show up earlier this year. Um it took me probably around two weeks. You get a fender brand new. You get a dent in it, something like that. You go to take it. body filler, sand it, then sand it more, then sand it more, then sand it more. Um, all this stuff is then you paint it. You can do all kinds of fancy designs with the airbrush. You don't have to do that. I did that with that cuz I thought it would look good. That's all I did. So, thank you. >> Thank you. >> Hello, I'm Dane Means. I'm in diesel mechanics and I'm in the 10th grade. Some of my career goals uh are joining the military and then after that I plan

on becoming a mechanic for either Ascendage Trucking or the Cleveland Brothers. The impact that Jeff Tech has put on me has given me a second chance bettering my life and bettering my grades. I have became a harder worker and smarter as well. A couple artifacts I'm doing up in shop is working on Mr. Filman's Duramax truck and helping some of the some of the touring kids up there how to do valve lashing on a little Predator engine. Thank you. >> Thank you. >> I'm Camden Gish. I'm in 11th grade in the electrical construction program. And that program gives you the ability to learn residential electrical, commercial electrical, maintenance, decent work skills, [cough] and you get OSHA 10-hour out of it. Snap-on meter certifications and uh ladder safety. Currently, I'm on co-op for Acme Machine and

Welding doing maintenance. So, that's another program the school does to offer kids an education, but you get paid for working and uh it's a really good program to get into. Thank you. >> Thank you. >> I'm Colton Slovenky. I'm 12th grade. I'm in culinary arts. Um I'll pass this around. This is a competition I just did for the school. Competed against I believe it's seven other districts I think. I don't remember exactly. But so in culinary arts we do all the cooking and everything. We go through basic how to stand at a table, how to hold a knife, how to sharpen your knife the whole way up until making these big huge fancy dishes. Um we have various other competitions throughout the year. Um, we the can't remember what branch it is. One of the

branches of the military comes in, they bring MREs and we have to take these MREs and turn them into something else, something better. So, it's kind of like a chop style cooking competition. >> Yeah. >> What are you getting ready to do next in college or >> Oh, actually I'm a senior, so I get to go on and um go to the butchering program. So, I'll take a month. I won't go to classes. is I won't go to shop and I'll go go on to like all these different slaughter houses and everything and learn how to go from killing the animal all the way up until packaging and selling at a store. >> Awesome. Thank you. >> Any questions? >> I I have one. >> Yeah. >> Um the the skills um USA competition. >>

Yeah. >> Um you all did very well this round, correct? >> Yeah, we we all did pretty well. >> How many kids do we have going to states? >> 25. >> Wow. Wow. >> Just wanted to make sure that somebody touched on that. >> One of our students in culinary, she went for baking pastry arts. She actually placed first in her competition, so she's going to states. >> Wow. >> I'll let you guys pass that around. >> Thank you. >> So, my name is Lauren Dinger and I am enrolled in building trays and I'm a senior. And the good thing about Jefftech, especially my shop, like you don't have to choose one career path because it is carpentry, plumbing, welding, and masonry among other things. So depending on what you feel like as you want

to do, you could do it. You know, even in other shops, [clears throat] like for example, I'm trying to move up at my work. um custodial and outdoor maintenance, but I want to be a little bit better and do the whole field maintenance, go make a little more money. And uh maybe I'm a little underprepared. I didn't bring anything either. >> You're fine. >> Yeah. And uh yeah, we learned a great deal of stuff like you know, we started a carpet. We not we can move all the way up to masonry and um trying to think what else. Oh yeah, we could do plumbing. You know, we learn how to solder copper pipes and um PVC among other things. You know, it's wherever you want to be in the world because you can build houses

or you can maintain houses or buildings or whatever the heck you want to do. >> Uh, thank you for your time. >> Thank you, [laughter] sir. >> Looks like you already brake system. >> [clears throat] >> Hi, my name is Brandon Dehaven. I am in 12th grade in auto mechanics. This is a brake system that we uh make a double flare brake line that we mock up on there and actually see if we actually did it right. Did it if it leaked or not. Uh this actually helped me a lot learning how to build brake lines. I have done three vehicles brake lines so far including his [laughter] but >> we have to talk >> Jefftech it helped me a lot learning uh how to maintenance vehicle how to uh fix everything that needs done

uh in short we do we we build transmissions we We have 53s. We have two 48s that we rebuilt. In the shop, we built a 48 with stage three cam in it. So, we show all the little kids what we do in our shop. But in our shop, it includes uh PA and state inspection classes, OSA 10-hour course, uh Snap-on certification, and all data certification. I have all my certifications that I needed to prepare myself to one day go out in the shop and potentially own my own shop personally. >> That is all. Thank you guys. >> Thank you. >> My name is Quinton Ward. >> I'm Mason Goods. We are both seniors in the digital media arts program. We want to thank you for your time and opportunity to be here. Um, as an

overview of our shop, we teach crucial skills for digital media field and online content creation through graphic design, photography, video production, editing, audio design, animation, and even coding and marketing certificates your final year. All of this serves to give every type of student an opportunity to express themselves and dev delve into the industry as they want to. Within our four years, we have obtained various industry certifications across the Adobe suite and uh meta digital marketing uh certificates. We are equipped with both skills and industry uh certifications to prove our work. This year specifically, we've competed in various skill uh film and video competitions at both a state and national level. We've represented our school in contests for the manufacturing skill standard council, Robert Morris University's digital media arts conor, and the America's Bankers Association. We've

won around $2,000 for the school and for ourselves through our videos and amassed well over thousands of views across all of them through Facebook, YouTube, and >> Instagram. Um along with that, our shop is very active in Skills USA. I think we have five or so groups of kids going to uh states this year to compete at the state level. >> Us included. >> Yes, us included for uh digital cinema. And then also our shop is very active in co-op with having people go out into the field pretty early on into their third or fourth year getting out into the industry. We're also contacted pretty well by colleges. We've had a lot of help with um scholarships >> with scholarships getting our name out there a lot of places for what we're doing. Um we

can get in there for a lot cheaper because of the skills we have here that go into that. Um I think that's it unless Mason wants to continue. But >> we're given a lot of opportunities for colleges. We get to meet a lot of people who come into the school itself. Uh they come and greet us. We almost daily get um invitations to go on, you know, physically places to interact with people within the field. We're given scholarship opportunities like once every two weeks. Um our teacher, he's great, Mr. sense of all he's actively pushing everyone to do better constantly and through that we both grew as people through tech especially um I personally have enrolled into IUP after this year >> and I will be going to Robert uh Robert Morris University after this

year so >> so if that's all if nobody has any questions thank you guys so much for the opportunity >> thank you so much for coming >> my name is Micah Queen and I'm in the engineering shop. Uh I'm a junior and what we do there is we do a lot of uh 3D modeling and 3D designing. Um [clears throat] we can basically make just about anything as long as it's school appropriate. Uh we can end up printing it. We have printers that we can use and then we have uh printers for more mass scale prints and [clears throat] we also tend to help other teachers, staff members. Um, we can we had kids make um there was a someone needed a door slumper, so we ended up making that for them. Um, we also

get a little bit into electronics. Um, we are you the ones that made the Viking head for us at the jock that 3D printed? >> Yeah, I believe so. >> Yeah, very good. Very cool. >> Um, [clears throat] [snorts] and tech has uh helped me learn problem solving skills. Um in engineering we have to do a lot of prototyping. Um it takes us a lot of uh time and effort into our projects and a lot of testing and failing and testing and failing until we get it correct. Um [snorts] we also get um certifications. We get certifications for OSHA. We get um Snap-on multimeter certification. Um, we also get Autodesk certification which is the programs that we use for our 3D modeling. >> And that's all I have. Thank you. >> Thank you. I appreciate

it. Hello, my name is Drew Fox. I am a freshman. I enrolled in the business technology shop at Jefftech. It's helped me a lot. Uh not only just because of what I'm learning in that shop, but also because of the great staff at Tech. They have showed me even just the short time I've been there how to succeed. really I they help me greatly in business tech we mostly focus on uh the Microsoft suites that's your PowerPoint Microsoft Word uh Microsoft Excel uh the Google suite uh spreadsheet your slideshows sheets docs uh we talk a lot about what businesses in the world are doing like Amazon for example people buying a nuclear power plant to power one of their AI facilities. AI has been a big thing in business lately [clears throat] with automating features.

So, we've been talking about that a lot. Uh we've been working on getting our own little business running. We haven't gotten too far into that yet this year. We have been working towards that. A lot of that has been just learning generally how to talk to people, how to approach business meetings, stuff of that general caliber. I haven't done too much yet just because I've only been there half a year, but my time that I have been there so far has been great. Uh I don't really have much prepared, but that's that's about all I have. Thank you for your time. >> Thank you. Hi, my name is Ryan Hartsfeld. I go to Jefftech for advanced manufacturing. I am a sophomore. This is my second year here. In that shop, we help out a lot

of the other shops with a lot of their projects. If anything's messed up for something, they can bring it in and give it to us. For Dr. After filming this year, I've worked on a few parts for his truck, making new parts. I've helped make people make parts for themselves. I've came in and brought parts from the Punksy School District to fix them for them for the robotics club this year. We do a lot of work for several of the shops because they don't have access to a lot of those tools to fix some of the stuff when something breaks. So they give us blueprints and we are able to reachine it for them and fix it hopefully for them to make everything in their shop run better. >> That's all I have. >> Great.

Thank you. >> Thank you. [snorts] >> Hi, my name is Heidi. I'm in 11th grade and I'm in cosmetology. I chose cosmetology because it's a program I wanted to do like more hands-on than sitting in a classroom half the time. And in cosmetology, we don't just do hair and nails. We learn professionalism, sanitation, safety, anatomy, chemistry, and customer service. And we're also trained to go to the Pennsylvania State Board to get our um license. And in the cos cosmetology program, I help students learn who are best by doing and not just sitting in a classroom. gives students confidence and a clear life plan for their after school life. Some students go straight to work while others continue their education, advanced cosmetology, business ownerships, or teaching. After people graduate, they can go to different salons while

they can go on co-op. Um, my friend Nikki, she goes to JC Penney for co-op and she's already licensed and she's 17. Um, and I know two other people that have highly went up from after they graduated. And this program has helped me discover my strengths and future goals. It's given me a sense of purpose and motivation to come to school every day just like my confidence, attendance, grades, career goals, leadership, and also offers a path to build your skills and opens many doors for creativity. Also to add, scissors and a comb can help somebody and uplift their spirit and make them smile, have a better day. Like sometimes we have a that's like a a company, but people have disabilities, they come in for clinic, we have it on Wednesdays and Thursdays. It's very

cheap. They come in and then sitting in the chair for 15 minutes makes them automatically have a better day. We go to Christ the King, better day. going to the children how see they have like a good day just for us even to come in there and paint their nails and seeing that that's why I want to be a cosmetologist. Um I respectfully ask the board to continue supporting the cosmetology CTE program. This program changes lives and gives students opportunities that they may not have otherwise. Thank you guys. >> Thank you. [cough] >> Is that it? Anyone else? >> Okay. Any questions, comments from the board? >> I have a comment. One of the hardest things you'll ever do is come speak to people sitting here like you [laughter] did a phenomenal job and it's

that's a skill you're going to need as you go through your lives because you're always going to be talking to other people, you know, about what the problem they brought to you is. Um, you all did a great job and, you know, I really appreciate I have a heart for cosmetology. My daughter went into that after high school. And one of the things she said, one of the reasons I want to do it, mom, because I can make people have a better day. But you can all do that because if if I have a broken car and I bring it to you and you fix it, that's going to make my day great. If you fix my sink that's leaking, that's going to make my day great. You guys are going to do great things

and thank you for coming and having the courage to stand up there because this is not easy. >> That's true. Dr. Filman, can you get them to do rewiring on your 1976? [laughter] Can you get them to do the rewiring on your 1976 CJ5 [laughter] truck? [laughter] >> If you don't have a 76 CJ5, I can loan you mine. >> So, [laughter] >> yeah. Thank you all for being here. I I appreciate it. I know this is one of the highlights for me. uh we deal a lot with policy and you know the baloney of of of running a school district uh sometimes hearing from you guys uh you know makes us feel appreciated on on on the jobs that that that we do. Uh so thank you all for being here. Um keep your

head on straight. Uh stay focused on your goals. Uh you you our our district and our community have have certainly benefited uh with the partnership with Jefftech over the years. So, if there's anything uh there's a number of business owners here, uh community leaders, if anything any of us can do to help you achieve your goals, please reach out. So, we we're we're proud of you and we appreciate you being here. >> Thank you all very much. Thanks for bringing us. Appreciate it. >> Nice to see you all. >> Very proud of you. >> And Jenna misses you all. [laughter] Come on in. >> Oh, I know where to find. >> I do. Thank you, sir. I appreciate it. >> Wait, bring him back to feed us. [laughter] >> Okay, moving on here. I don't

believe there's any unfinished business. So, move on to approval of our minutes for the January 13th meeting. I have a motion. >> Motion by Katie. Second. >> Seconded by Cindy. All those in favor? >> I. >> Motion carries. Moving on to our reports. Uh for athletics, we have uh two items there. We have a resignation and we have um individuals to hire for some positions. Can I have a motion to approve? >> So moved. >> Motion by Doug. >> Seconded by Jessica. All those in favor? >> Motion carries. >> Moving on to transportation. We have approval for a new driver and monitor. Can I have a motion to approve? >> So moved. >> Motion by Katie, seconded by Doug. All those in favor? >> I. >> Motion carries. >> I guess I try to wait

for that delay. Uh, moving on to buildings and maintenance. Um, we have permission to advertise and distribute RFPs for custodial and cleaning services. Um, can I have a motion to approve that? >> Motion by Cindy, seconded by Doug. All those in favor? >> I. >> Motion carries. Under cafeteria, we have a purchase order for Turner Dairy for White Milk. Can I have a motion to approve that? >> Make a motion. Motion by Katie, seconded by Jessica. All those in favor? >> I. >> Motion carries. >> Under federal programs and curriculum, we have two items under here. Ed insight data software purchase and the student education agreement. Um, can I have a motion to approve those? >> Motion by Jessica. >> Seconded by Dee. All those in favor? >> I. >> Motion carries. Guys, >> uh

under the superintendence report, we have approval for uh number one, conferences and field trips. Uh number two is the school calendar. Number three is the comprehensive plan. Number four is the uh an adjudication report for an expulsion. And uh number five is the new 2026 2027 calendar for next year. And number six is to designate uh the local holidays as part of that calendar. Any discussion on any of these items? >> I'd like to add to next month's agenda. You know, I know that we're going to be um putting in the new calendar for next year, but I do want next year or for next month on the agenda um to talk more about the uh flex flexible instruction days. Okay. Um, and I had talked to Dr. K about this prior. I think, you

know, there is some discussion about whether or not we should have the flexible instruction days. I think that's a we we can move forward with the calendar. I think that's a separate item that we can address in the future um next month or or whenever. So, just to add that the f flexible instruction days don't show up on the calendar. It would be perhaps a way to look at it as a tool if the boards decided that that's what they wanted to use. um as and it's not necessarily timesensitive, but we can put that on the agenda if you choose. >> Thank you. >> Okay, we'll add that to next month. In the meantime, um if you have any I think probably the best way to do this, if you have any feedback or suggestions

or um opposition, if you could just email that to Dr. K and Dr. Gaston um you know, as as part of this discussion. I I mentioned before I don't I I just think if if we do go down this road again, we have to have some sort of a a plan of how we're going to execute them if if we do decide to to do that. So, um, >> or maybe >> I'm thinking, Chad, ne next month I'm thinking, Chad, next month that, um, it's kind of, you know, it's a month away, but um, maybe have just a a little bit of a plan put together of maybe some of the changes that they would want to make, you know, some of the teachers would want to make or or administration would want to make

of what we did last year. Is that is that your suggestion to give you that feedback or would you rather us vote and then and then have that I mean I don't know if there's a majority of support here would be my concern but do you have a preference of how >> I can I can generate a just she's asked and I I can I can accommodate that we can have a general um idea of some uh approaches to what we might do some challenges that we might face. Um, we already had a voting item on this um, prior to us being here. I think that was last May if I'm not mistaken. >> Um, so we would need a it would need to be a voting item to re-engage in Fed days. And as

I shared in our last meeting, they are PTE approved. We have they're there. It's a matter of the the [snorts] wishes of in the consensus of the board as to should they be used or not. So I can bring some supplements to that if that works, Mrs. Evans, to to guide your discussion. Yes. >> Okay. Okay. Any other questions on the calendar or any other items under Dr. K's report? [snorts] >> Okay. Seeing none, I'll ask for approval for uh motion for items 1 through six. >> So move. >> Motion by Doug, seconded by Jessica. All those in favor? >> I. >> Motion carries. Building principal reports. Uh we heard from Mr. Gil and from Dr. Smelco. Um under elementary we have the approval of a tutoring club. Um and at the high school we

have a donation from the Jefferson County Housing Authority to the 9th through 12th grade art club. We have a um parent night staffing for two nights for some additional hours for teachers for 12 teachers. Uh, we have the approval of the high school curriculum guide and we have permission for the musical theater group to solicit donations during their play. Uh, [clears throat] any discussion on any of these items? I I do have one question on this curriculum guide. I was thinking about this this morning as I was driving. What does this look like for a student who is unsure of what they want to do? Or maybe they had uh I'm thinking of myself actually not uh up until the last semester of my 12th grade, I was going to work and then I decided

last minute I pulled an audible and went to college. What does that look like for a student who maybe pursues the the career path and then wants to change? Is that going to really throw a wrench in their gears or >> No. And I I think that's the beauty of it. Um I've shared with most people I I was in a [clears throat] similar spot. Um I had absolutely no plan for my life until uh college applications were due. Um I think that that what this is is they don't our students don't have to choose specifically I want to work in STEM and this is what I need to do. A lot of um kids are that secure with their decisions. A lot of kids need to investigate what's out there until the very last

minute and and after the fact. Um our job no matter what is to prepare kids for the future. So that's there as a guide. It's there as a discussion point. It's there as a a means of engaging students and families about the intention that they have and the purpose of their education. So, if you look at the um career prep pathway in the description of that, it states it is to prepare students for graduation period, but they'll have that next step. Um we have a a baseline that prepares our students to be accepted wherever they want to go. We have standards um that do that. So again, it's not a I don't have to commit to something in ninth grade and not have a way to explore something else. It's a it's a guide. It's

a way of um really digging into who am I, what do I want out of this, and what's my education for? >> Thank you. Um I appreciate the work that has gone into this. Um, I know we will approve this tonight, but it's a constant work in progress. Next year we'll have changes and edits. So, I do appreciate your work and Dr. Smelco and the rest of the >> team um for doing this. So, certainly aligns with our comprehensive plan goals. Heather, >> I just wasn't 100% sure on the weight each track was given as far as um credits. is there there's going to be a differentiation between career college honors and AP >> in that the um it's not so much if you think about it as a multiplier right so all the courses

are worth the same amount of credits >> okay >> but those those will be weighted not in the 2627 school year that will take effect in the 27 28th school year in a um in a progressive fashion so for example if you are an eighth grade student who is taking algebra and you've gone from sixth [snorts] grade to seventh grade and you are achieving at a 98 99%. You may in that eighth grade year take the honors algebra course and that's the only one right now that's going to carry that because that graduating class will have that effect on their GPA. So we have to do that step um for the year ahead. >> Okay. The following year is when the multipliers will come into play for students as it's um applicable with our graduation

year. What we're not going to do is make a change that disrupts everything for our kids who are already in this system with the multipliers. That's not fair. >> Yeah. >> Um and we don't need any more disruption >> to transcripts and the course of what we're doing. So next year when we're at this point that will be explained in extreme detail with the visuals to help everyone understand it. Okay. >> Um I think it's important to understand this is a philosophical shift. So there's a lot of messaging and communicating that we have to do not just with the school community but with our families, our students, our staff. Um the reason this is going to be a three-year process is to make sure that we get it right and don't upset the apple cart

um in the process. >> Yeah. Okay. I just thought I'm trying to make sense of how you sent a really great ab like a explanation. I just kind of got stuck on how we were waiting things going forward, especially if the kids are um and I and I had concerns about them being able to shift between the tracks if our scheduling structure was in place that would allow for these things. And I know these are a lot of things that will be worked out >> as we approach the time. So I just had made some notes about the weight of the courses. Yeah. And I think the other part of that that's um that should help make sense is that the waiting when it does take effect is based on the rigor and the work

involved in the course. >> Yeah. Sure. >> You know, some of those require summer work. Some of it requires a lot of after school work. So that they're performing um on a task level on a heavier heavier place. >> A lot of schools already do that. My husband was amazed when we moved here in 2001 that we didn't do that here cuz he grown up outside of Philadelphia and they, you know, he had waited classes all the way through and I'm like, >> "No, we don't." But he's he was very happy to hear that [clears throat] we're going to be doing that. >> And I would offer to Sorry. >> Oh, go ahead. >> Um, we are scheduling those parent nights. Um, and scheduling with the guidance department is about to begin. They're going to

do that in phases as well. Um, Dr. SMCO is going to work with the counselors um during the meeting to present the new approved um curriculum guide. She's going to do that in concert with them. The counselors are then going to visit the classrooms. Um so they're going to have that small intimate um and studying to discuss that with students. We have parent nights set up and scheduled that we just approved. So that will have an opportunity for families to have those deeper discussions. And then um if there's anyone that you run into or that happens to be watching um please tell them to call talk to Dr. Smelco, call me >> um more than happy to sit down and have some conversation about what we're trying to do for our kids. >> I was

just going to add to what she said. They've done great work and it's likely that there will be um parents and others that will have the same questions that you had. And um so we had as we were building this and having those discussions as our leadership team, we said that, you know, we have to have a really good communication campaign to make sure that that information is widely accessible, uh to guardians, parents alike, so that you can know who to talk to, uh where to get the, you know, um what questions to ask, uh how to reach us and all those things. So that's going to be um up front and center on our web page. We'll we'll do more um uh push notifications so the parents know that it's there, how to reach

us, and we'll have the parenting meetings. We're going to make sure that this is communicated well so that every every parent guardian can engage in this process with their kids. >> Yeah. I I mean, I know it was sent out to the high school level where the parents could access this, but truly it's not going to affect the kids in high school right now as much. Um, is there going to be an extension of this to the elementary as they would be the ones completely impacted? >> I mean, it'll be completely >> in at that point. >> That's a great question. Um, so a lot of this is is talking about um preparing all of our kids for whatever their future holds. Um, we need to do some work at making sure that we're emphasizing

a little bit of that college and career readiness at the younger levels as the kids start moving through. Um, I think that the preparation needs to start happening in that that five to six range. Seventh and eighth grade are not going to see a change. They're they're not going to have um they won't have a weighted grade impact. they're not going to have [snorts] changed significantly to their courses. The following year they will have three tracks to choose from so that we hit a broader audience. Um but during those two years I know that the part of the guide has shifted where their um career exploration those courses are offered. >> Yeah. >> To help them get to that next step. Um, that's kind of what we'll be doing in year two and three. But

you're absolutely right that we need to start moving those intentional pieces and having those conversations with with our kids as as early as we can. >> Yeah. Thank you. Thank you. >> It's a very forward thinking plan. I I I definitely appreciate that aspect of it. >> Thank you. >> Yeah. >> You know, we're not just thinking about what we're doing this year and the next, you know what I mean? >> I really appreciate that. >> Yeah. Okay. Any other discussion? If not, I'll move for approval. I'll ask for approval for items A and B under the building principles reports. Can I have a motion? >> Motion by Katie. Second. >> Seconded by Doug. All those in favor? >> I opposed. Motion carries. Okay, moving on to financial reports. We have the financial summaries and

board reports. We have the occupation tax exoneration request and we have a couple of budget transfers. And number nine and 10 are to reject the proposals for the um RFP for the substitute services and cafeteria staffing. Any questions on that for Dr. K? I just wanted to emphasize the RFPs for uh in particular for the cafeteria and and the other one that was um uh for cleaning services that was under um Carmen's earlier report. This is again just to emphasize that this is a um preparation for an emergency situation where we just don't have staff to be able to do school. So the intention is not to um there is no other intention other than that. So, it's it's

just preparation for a backup plan and and this is just to initiate that with the um potential services that could help us if we needed it. Just wanted to make sure that that was clear. Thank you. Wait a minute, Chad. Yes. >> I just want to say that I filled in for Doug for Jack Tech. Um and that was the first that I've been at at one of those meetings since I was on the board whenever I first got on our board. Um it was very good. It was wonderful to be able to go and see the changes and how that school has really um been built

up. So, I just want to just wanted to emphasize how what a great job they're doing over there at Jeff. >> Oh, I have something, too. Um, I thought you'd be interested to know. We had our two students go to district band. Um, one of them, she actually plays. >> She placed um first in her section. So, she qualified for both region choir and region band. >> Great. >> That's awesome. >> Thank you. >> Awesome. I'll share that in a new video. >> Okay. We we'll come back to new business. Uh under uh we're payment of the bills. Uh we have items number one, two, and three. Uh the general fund, the cafeteria fund, and there are three items under construction funds. Um and then there's a final balance pay for uh under the general

fund. Can I have a motion to approve items? Is that would that be A and B? >> One to three. 3 A and 3 B. >> One to three. Oh, I see. Okay. >> Items one, two, and three. Can I have a motion to approve those items? >> So moved. >> Motion by Doug. Second. >> Seconded by Allen. All those in favor? >> I >> opposed. Motion carries. New business. Right there she is. Moving on to region chorus and Dubo. Um, next weekend will be Lacy Dean, Nova Shrek from the uh, band area. Um, district 3 PME band was there. There were 28 schools represented. 052Cindy and congratulations to those students. We plan to have them in next month for recognition and a photo >> nice >> as well. And quick song. >> What do you What did you get out of What was the best part of going to >> Oh man. Um District Choir. So, I don't know if you guys have ever been to like a festival like this, but they take like I mean fiveish kids from probably like 25 schools and you're in these like big room for 3 days with all these people you've never met and you come together and the first like 30 seconds there we were making music. Like it was insane. It was awesome. And um they always bring in a guest conductor. So, I think the best part for me was just watching like

this huge group of people come together and take the things that like they knew how to do and just doing it confidently and like by the end of the third day like we memorized I think eight songs and it was like eight different voice parts for all of them and we were just singing it and it was like you just watched the whole room there just it was great. It was really cool and you met so many cool people like you just went and you found all these people that like shared a passion for something that you also did. So, it was just a really cool opportunity. >> That is cool. Well, congratulations to you and congratulations also for uh you were one of the homecoming uh court participants. So, congratulations there. The dance went

well. >> Yeah, I thought it was very nice. Yeah. Student council. Um we decorated Friday night. I think everyone was pretty happy with that. It was a lot of fun. >> It was a packed house at the basketball game. >> Oh, yeah. >> Anything else we're missing from you? >> The states this week. states this week. >> Yeah. Uh the 18th through the 20th. So we'll be going to that as well. >> Where? >> Uh Hershey. >> Great. >> Okay. Anything else under new business? I'm forgetting. >> Okay. I will ask for a motion to adjurnn. >> Motion by Jessica, seconded by Katie. All those in favor? I I opposed. Motion carries. Thank you.
