a museum of kansas history uh mrs mcguire had three girls qualified for state forensics lydia heffle received a one rating on pros alex mccarter and caitlin ritchie receive the two ratings the forensics team held three forensic competition here in wilson including regional forensics on april 23rd mr shipley had two amazing vocal and band concerts in the last two weeks art students went to wichita to see glassblowing exhibit this trip was awesome the students raved about it and as soon as they got back our students will also attend the league art in four days art day juniors held prom on saturday april 23rd that visions of gold was fun for all that attended the student council held the last sunday on may 2nd at the district in salina stuco has had a fun activity for the

students in each quarter this year on the downside of things the high winds have caused several more leaks in our facility here especially after last last week's rain uh guttering some pascha up front if you notice walking in is missing and also the scoreboard is severely damaged and those items will be needed attended to or replaced okay are there any questions you know all my principals do a great job holding fourth down here at the end of the year uh toby at central plains high school mrs bozier at central plains elementary and tony and sabrina have stepped up here at wilson and done a great job so i appreciate all all of their hard work they've done a great job here at the end of the year i'm trying to hurt cats a little bit

at times all right uh so we have a presentation and a board discussion on the configuration and building report from sid and i pronounce your name wrong every time sweet means okay thank you apologize thank you um so some months ago um folks uh authorized greg to uh sign an agreement uh i'm just gonna hand it out it's just a copy of just as a refresher [Applause] um so this is a facility study agreement and it was for the purpose really the work is described primarily in in item 5 to discover and determine facility needs to establish establish the scope of a potential project create preliminary project conceptual designs for a project and provide preliminary estimates of problem costs for a project and the means the method that we were going to use to do

that was to work with a steering committee um or facilities committee that's outlined there in in uh paragraph four uh just to members of the community to help uh us work through their needs and so that the needs were really coming organically from the community by not us telling you what we thought that things were so um shortly this was back in november shortly after that the developing discussion amongst yourselves regarding the status of the district uh came into being and uh and so effectively this the work of this agreement that we have with you has been kind of paused and um mainly i'm i'm here to for for a couple of uh a couple of uh purposes uh one um do do we need to just back off and wait uh until things settle

down and you kind of have a handle on how things are going to proceed or i guess really how how would you like us what our stance towards this agreement would be at this point it's kind of what i'm i'm here looking for i don't want to drop the ball uh i don't want to fail you folks but until we can kind of get a committee established or facilities committee established and have some direction with with everything uh why uh we're just kind of on hold so i guess that would be my question to you are you wanting us to to sit back or do you want us to proceed if so how with everything that's going on i mean as far as i'm i'm concerned uh and i think that even with the changes

to a couple months ago or last month it's we're still all the buildings are still you know part of the district and still functioning um and so i mean i would think that we would want to continue but i can see why we would hesitate and i'm not here to put pressure on i just i just want to make sure we're not failing you you're friendly well that's not the problem i mean i guess i feel like asking him to proceed is a little bit asking him to spin his wheels because until we figure out what we look like in two three ten years it's kind of unfair especially concerning the terms of the agreement it's kind of unfair for us to take advantage of the skills that offer until we really know what we

look like going forward so i guess i would be in favor of asking you to give us a little bit of time to figure out what we look like and what buildings are going to end up being the part of it and then move forward with that we'll probably know a lot more but yeah i mean i realized but the word that needs that you know like he's talked about coming back with ideas that would require passing a bond until we feel like we are all on that same page of pursuing a bond i guess i feel like it's unfair to push that through so if we wait six months or so are you gonna have to come back in and overlook everything again or is kind of what you've had a idea is could

be good for a while we've toured the facilities uh i've toured them several times actually i brought the architect uh we toured all the facilities um that doesn't need to happen again really it would you know it seems to me just outsider looking in that you know in the next six months to a year you'll have an idea a pretty good idea of what's going on and we could we can pick up readily really that the you know the thing we have to have in order to proceed is that facilities committee and that has to be a group of you know community-minded people who are wanting to wanting to really look ahead for two generations that's that's that's the approach we bring what what do the next two generations of students what are they going

to need in this district and that's how we need to plan because your facility is a cliff learner approaching 70 years old and there's some upkeep that needs to happen in both here and hollywood so um that would be our our need in order to proceed and we're happy to step back and just pause i just kind of my question what happens as we move forward we do know that we'll have central plains high school senior high school we do know we'll have central plains elementary school don't know about wilson we've been there with a vote taken and they are actively looking to go to another district i don't yet see the benefit of not moving forward uh you know at least two-thirds of what could need repair i don't see the benefit in waiting

when you know at least two of those facilities will need address and if by chance wilson is still in our district which i hope they are i've presented a good argument for them to stay but i know they're looking elsewhere uh could easily at the end come back and look at this building and its needs i don't see the point in waiting i don't see that i don't see how if wilson leaves or if wilson stays the only change would be that we'd have this elementary school here i i i don't know i i'm i think you move forward i i mean that's fine that's my recommendation depending on how the configuration is well and i think that if you have that steering committee right now it involves uh folks from the central plains side

of the district and if it it will uh successful in a land transfer there you know they that would be what would happen we'd already have that work done if they decide to stay with central plains you bring in a facilities steering committee from wilson you know if uh if we if we would go proceed with a study and i i understand your point um what my question i guess i would pose to you would it be beneficial for for the wilson building to have the study done and at least have that information in hand whether it stays as part of the central plains or whether it goes elsewhere that that information might be helpful either way moving forward now the needs of the building are going to change where are you going yeah the

building search that's a very good point i'm not i'm not opposed to that either i just i just don't feel like we can wait much longer and i mean i think we will know before i would bet we will know by at the latest december whether or not another neighboring district is interested and wilson is interested in joining with them i don't i don't i'm just we have needs that need to be addressed and that'll be good enough is just not going to be good enough we got to get some stuff done i think we should my question my request then would be you know the the formulation of the facilities committee it's really important that those folks be uh you know supportive understanding that we're not fixing problems for the next five years we're

we're addressing needs for the next two generations which you know by that time we'll all be dead and you know that's our philosophy that we bring and and so we wouldn't want that facilities committee to have the same mindset not that they all have to agree on everything but that you know that's the long term that they're that they're looking to provide facilities for the education of students that folks will never have the privilege of knowing and that's kind of our approach so and i'm more than willing to have wilson in there too if that's what roger and brad won all right hey come on we'll get i'm going to give some people that i've got some names already and they don't know that i have their names but i have some names already of

people that i think would be a positive positive to have on this committee that want to look at making the necessary changes that would benefit our students in our district okay we just move forward and pull some leaves just back off we'll start with them put them in there too and if they stay there so consensus okay so just keep on keeping on and go from there okay well we'll i'll just be working with uh mr clark then and and schedule meetings and that sort of thing you said i'll get with you okay appreciate you driving up tonight all right thank you very much mr president i mean excuse me six forty six forty five is that i think would that be what ten minutes is that man um um mr president i make notion

that we refer to executive session for the same reasoning as previously stated to return to open session in this room [Music] at seven o'clock with mr clark and john kermit to be in attendance with sabrina boardman and freddie brokers to be on the call okay i'm looking on the table second chat we are back in open session mr president i like to move that board to get mr clark a 1500 stipend for the extra duties he's assumed the last month to the conclusion of the school year okay there's a motion on the table is there a second passes and for now we're going to table number nine we'll move into personnel uh board approval for certified positions for the 2223 school and you should have like all of wilson certified all of since plains elementary

certified all of some funds high school certified list there are some openings in there i gotta find all my paperwork we're still looking for a few positions uh elementary physical education here at wilson social studies here at wilson uh central plains high school math uh we're going to add we'll fill the wag tonight for a counselor at the high school and we were issues with title one at central plains elementary school thank you board approval for classified positions for the 222 and i think some of them put uh they're classified either on the back or with the certified uh mississippi gave us a separate list these folks that are our classified employees are of utmost importance our bus drivers our cooks our custodians our parents school doesn't happen without those folks and they deserve a

lot of credit for the success we have as a school district entertain a motion to approve the classified positions as a language by josh seconded by the chad all in favor of your hands and more approval for the principal's contracts for the 22 country school year mrs dozier and mr holmes uh my right and left arm thank you and i appreciate all their hard work and i would recommend that they receive a contract for the 22-23 school year for culture all right promotion by chat is there a secret secretary approval for the district office staff again they might be my arms but diane bobby and mandy are my brains keep me headed in the right direction jamie with buses and all our bus drivers and to do an awesome job for us driving thousands and

thousands of miles a year and and getting kids to school safe and our technology folks that help me when my computer doesn't want to work welcome back joe sexton take and board approval for the nation ruth billinger dennis austin the cool becky literal gunner hilton darling link [Music] can we do the other if you want to yeah harlow and carlson roger um and then board approval for katie bella and uh for paris central plains elementary amanda's platinum part-time parent force situation well like a motion by josh allison and uh for approval for wayne d'or or voad for central plains and the board discussion on the district office location office all right uh four offers on the table i got those out to you this afternoon i'm still short one thing that i eventually did get

we have uh the two apartments at plum creek uh which would be a thousand dollars per month if we signed a five-year deal that would be 850 a month uh you would uh they have agreed to one of the apartments has carpet one has like a wood tile vinyl flooring they would put that in paint put a door between the two apartments you have the building in bushton went over and looked at it they have three options eight year lease purchase for 850 dollars four-year lease to own uh eighteen hundred and fifty dollars a month uh we would be responsible of course for all the gas electric internet all that uh probably please do just a little bit of work in there maybe paint and new floor uh and then option three i'm sorry is

just purchase out right of the building of 104 we have an offer for the claflin in the old elementary school uh there was an agreement in there that the city drew up basically a 10 year lease our cost would be 10 of the gas and electric uh to be up there average is about 250 dollars a month there are some months i did the months that were given to me you know some months it was like four hundred dollars other months it was like a hundred dollars it averages out to about 250 dollars a month uh we would need to do a little bit of work up there as far as painting and carpeting you have some vids on that one of the things on the painting i also have a district employee that i

could probably hire to paint a little cheaper than the bed i received from steve hickle but he would need to do a little bit of the construction work as far as like patching anything you see the in your packet you have a folder that shows the different costs for carpet the different cop the size and the area of each of the rings the final offer we have is and it's still available i just found out yesterday that you have that portable office that's sitting in colorado they can deliver it to us for about sixty thousand dollars we would still need to put in electric water sewer that type of thing and probably some sort of a sidewalk or something out to it if we didn't put it right near the building where we already have

a sidewalk those are the options that have been presented i'll be honest with you every one of them has its uh positives and its names questions from any board member one thing that i'm still working out with an architect on claflin it is on the second floor the museum on the other end has a chair lift on the stairs i'm asking an architect if we can just use that chairlift if somebody was handicapped needed to come up or if we would need to put our own in and i haven't got an answer on that yet option that wasn't presented here was the configuration committee came up with was moved to sixth grade to cleveland okay and also using one kitchen down at the south end diane you called the state on us switching counties if

we went to another county whether it be rice or barton we would still be considered an ellsworth county school district correct wanted to make sure that was out there too okay i don't think you should move to sixth grade i don't i like jane what do you think about moving the sixth grade out of that school good or bad and then leaving the district office there yes what's your thoughts anyway i still won't give up by themselves self-contained because we're working in the schedule because you'll have to change the schedule hiring hardware teachers um just feel like they're not breaks regardless on the kitchen thing there's challenges with food transportation right that was what yeah we could do that but honestly i'm still probably gonna have to have the same number of people hired maybe

not for as long uh it's kind of six and one half a dozen the other maybe i mean i've not sat down and said okay if we did it you know and i actually put pencil to paper dollars to send someone you still need the space to feed well i'm not them in favor of a ten year lease or putting that much money into a building on the other hand i don't feel like should be buying a building either personally i think the plum creek departments thing is probably the best way to go because we can it even said we can customize the piece a little bit so if we decided to do a three here it'll probably be a meat in the middle type of thing so in the interest of full disclosure uh

i can't vote on plum creek at all because i do have a conflict of interest there because they're affiliated with hiv but um i yes that would be i think there could be a discussion is there is there a possibility of either of the facilities the other two facilities here or cloudline changing moving things around to make room for the district office actually yeah this building in high school instead of suspended toby you'd have to answer that i i don't have empty space especially two years going through people don't feel like that i have i don't have a space that's constantly advanced let me put it down i can move them from room to room if you know what i'm saying i can move them around but that's not good for business but i don't

have one room that's available all the way forward i'd like to see a nice my office was the superintendent's office where the coffee machines are where the principal's office and the middle where debbie dolphins to live with the district and high school office has to wake up the i took bobby and diane and mandy and myself went and went to every location i'm smart enough to know i wouldn't try to make that decision without input from them so they wanted honestly the old central place elementary school building it's free you can we don't have to pay any rest the only thing we have to do is just paint that electric which is going to be prorated and replace the carpeting so it's and it's going to be forever it won't have to move again i

only have to dry seven blocks though yeah if we went and looked at it and it would definitely house if you remember where mrs osher's office was without mr clark's where nancy's office was that would be the conference room across the hall where mrs steiner used to be that room is big enough for all three of our desks me and bobby and mandy could all be in that same room then you go down the hall there's a little nurse to the nurse's office there's a bathroom in there and the sink and all that that could be like a little lounge area so those rooms but what i can read i'm not a leased person at all uh to understand the terms of the legal jargon that it looks to me like all we need to

do is pay the utilities there's no monthly event no messaging please but it does need a little bit of updates and i could probably get some of that down a little bit i mean um mr sure we do have two folks here from claflin i know josh you're from bush and any anything uh you'd like you two would like dad i don't know you tell me [Music] i don't care if there's anything you'd like to add josh i know you're with questions so i would encourage uh proponents and and we went that route like right away could be july first would be the day we would actually be able to okay pretty much movement ready other than the uh i know that the ada part two there's i don't know up there there's a museum

on the south side of this floor and the offices we're talking about the wall partitioned off that door stays locked but during the day could be opened with access to that chair lift if it's viable to you and i know the contract says that if pretty close enough it does include water sewer trash but that's zero right it's not actually charged that's the same language that's in the links agreement we're using with the gymnasium access and the other advantage is that is the district's already paying for part of the roof uh taught to prepare the roof maintenance based on the currency police agreement plus already paying your i mean confidence insurance that's probably true we would have to carry a little extra insurance for the contents not for the bill right so he's paying for

the building insurance john have you had a chance to look into that the study would be the original whether the entry needs required and whatever other costs you have i think those calls thoughts from the boys are there any fees or costs to any changes or anything that needs to be made there as far as like we have forty thousand dollars here in carpeting [Music] we um the flooring that needs to be changed so there's two apartments side by side which if anybody would like to look at the space that would happen but the one has already upgraded fully the one next to it it's easy to change and then i think the only modification diane was a doorway between the two would be nice to not have to go outside so it would be

able to kind of be a corner of the building would be this is the district office but then putting a doorway between the two apartments next to each other so they can without leaving their office space get back and forth so there's also like a couple of kitchenettes in there eight-day bathrooms and it's all aba accessible ground level elementary um what would if it's like the one and i've read through it but i think any any one of us the city or the school district can give notice that they want to get out of the leaks and i think it lasts was it was it two years or am i am i thinking of the other one yeah what two years now i'm not sure if that's after november of 2031. oh my thoughts are

kind of like all the changes and stuff that's going through and configuration and you know the possibility of having the daycares and maybe having to bring stuff into the daycare if that's something that we can forget having the district conference associated with where we're at the daycare or too many things are still up in the air for me to want to sign any kind of long-term agreement with anybody because i'm kind of leaning towards thinking just a one-year call i know it's not ideal but again well i think i think you will no matter where honestly is that i hesitate to buy another building knowing that [Music] you know ideally we would like to have the district office at one of our attendances so knowing that we will probably move in that direction in some

form or another i don't want to decide that's the discussion of what does our district look like in five years what buildings house what do we have space for how many students do we have we need to live don't have to go what i say but um i certainly don't want to move again in another year yeah and moving in july is going to be stressful enough if you know how busy the district office is it's crazy busy i don't i know people think we don't do anything in the summer but we do a lot that's like one of our busiest times so we're going to have to pack up everything and move and then you're asking us possibly to move again another year i mean the capers are looking really nice yes uh on

the long-term side i just want to point out because of the exit clause in our contract it's actually kind of a two-year lease so that you hear a lot of that technically two years that goes until 2034 so because that is positive it can't be few heads here but the shorter term in one high school secretary one superintendent one principal so now we've got diane bobby uh jamie and one in and work out where debbie is and then i'd have is i'm just asking what places to go i thought the band room but it's used two hours a day i can't i'm not going to kick the baby so there's nothing out i'm talking about there's no classrooms [Music] well bobby and i also talked about that mobile unit out of colorado springs too we

kind of looked at that we could put that outside the elementary building but then that's a purchase but it would be there that would be attached to school or adjacent that that would be the district office you could use it for other things too so it's going to take some money up front to buy it water digging sewer and i think on any of them if we i would guess we might be able to use some s or money because it will be getting us away from providing more room for students uh i'd want to click i have not cleared that with the state yet but if you can make a just cause they'll usually approve it but that's something to think about too was that a new building yeah it didn't look like it

now no it's not new it's used if you recall i gave you the price of a new one a few months ago i didn't even attach it to this group because it's way too expensive yeah and you know what you know you know like mobile units like that they're worth half of what they are the second you hook it up put it where you want it so you better plan on using it until it falls apart i think i think what the motion said last month once again this one uh we need to make a decision to know if we push it to get them on um so i mean we need to have something for some kind of understanding of what we would like them to do i guess omnicommotion for comparing to concrete

apartments motion on the table for concrete as far as uh technically you have to wait but if there is no second then the motion fails as far as all those carpeting and updating and stuff that is proposed how much of that is really how much fiscal 100 need on carbon um yeah well paint i'd say need to well the carpeting we looked at it and actually the carpeting in the office that we would be at looks fine to me but the carpeting down the hall is worn and i have spoken to kelly nixon and they put that in in 2012 which isn't that old but they went on the sheep route just to get it replaced so you know you get what you pay for so it doesn't match which is fine painting would not

be that expensive i told mr clark on these splitters that can wait because they got window air conditioners in there so um i you know they have been used or they've been used but we'd have to check to make sure they don't work um the bathroom facility hasn't been used for quite some time where the nurses section nurses station is so um we can get a rep key and go down and use the restroom by the rec center because it's just right down the stairs for our employees if we need to just i mean to get it started we don't have to do it all i mean it would look nice as the district office to have the carpeting all the same throughout those four rooms it's one two three i wasn't gonna do that

last room yeah i was not gonna do that so then it would just be those things yeah so yeah no i mean and and like i said i i steve said that was his bid on the paint but and doing a little fixing up i told him i can hire my painters that i hire in the house and summer for probably a little cheaper than that kayleen is a great painter so those are options that carpet that kelly quoted was like a medium gray carpet and we're handicapped accessible yes i got it like i said i gotta see if that lift down there would be okay i've got to call into the architect but don't think he's doing something i'll throw this out if you're gonna have a special meeting in the near future you

might want to find out the ada expense well i know if we had to put in a chair lift it's about four grams on that stairwell going up they're building a ramp there so do we want to find out for sure on the well accessibility we've got to have a special meeting my question i mean i we're gonna have to whether we put it in or use the one down at the end uh i mean you'll you're gonna have to have some sort of handicap you know accessibility to it so it's just or we can have to spend four thousand dollars on a chair lift for us or be able to use the one that the museum if we had to and these quotes of electricity uh those are for the mini splits we would

like to say that's an option too do we have a current utility quote on any of that i mean you're talking about window units which use twice as much electricity yeah then well i've got for sure on our price i've got uh bills and i just got them here this afternoon late in the day uh january of the gas and electric at claflin the old elementary school was sixteen hundred dollars sixteen forty two so our we pay hundred and sixty bucks february was nineteen hundred so we pay a hundred and ninety march twenty five hundred so we would pay 250 bucks well in all fairness though um their office is not open by people and this is for the whole building right gas won't go up and that part gas doesn't change on electric some

of those windows are being used anyway at the end of the day too you're talking an extra maybe two window units running a little more full time but you know they just will pay them on the temperature you know you're getting a we're offering this space rent free for 10 for prorated utility and that 250 that mr park scooter is actually on the high end let's just say it's 650 that's still compared to upwards of a thousand or more a month that some of these other offers you're getting the cost savings over the course of a year and a half is enough to pay for the carpet to do it all the way you take some of that i only do what's needed in less than a year to make that possible across the facility

for you if you're somewhere else you're paying those costs you've reached past that threshold where you would have saved money with us cash you want to think about it wait till the special meeting we have to have a special meeting anyway because we're going to have to republish the budget and the location of the virtual fund so we'll talk about that later but since you just looked at this tonight's brand spanking new to you yeah you can kind of go through piece by piece and take a look and give you a little bit more time we don't know yet we're going to talk to you about that tonight right if no i don't think it will be next year it's going to have to be 10 days right so we're trying to figure out the

time and i just found out today so yeah so that's just my opinion we don't have to make a decision for me i mean having an answer on the list if that works i think is important and if we can't use one that's currently there an official let me look here and see because i call for company three companies on the lift i hope it's in this notebook knowing my luck it'll be one of my other yellow legal pads that i have but um let me see um [Music] oh it's in this one right here uh carl of home solutions uh his was 39.95 or 41.95 with an on off switch which would allow us to control it so like a kid was in there they wouldn't be able to take rides up and down

the chairlift home elevator company was like 4 800 installed said less than 5 thousand so i've got a couple of not hard bids but that's i think that's just kind of like the price it is so how are they gonna have to run electricity to that uh i don't know those are plug i don't i didn't ask that question because that's a good one to ask because that's that's additional expanse uh whether they do it or we gotta hire it out or whatever i'll take a week or two if we can just follow up on those action items and we'll table it for now and we'll have a special board meeting for a couple reasons uh more discussion on the air conditioner and real estate i think we need to do fees before that oh

i'm sorry that's all yeah sorry board approval for the school fees for the 22-23 uh really we have three changes we are lowering uh the three-year-old cost per month the 35 dollars was 50 because we'll be getting some state funding for some of the students that are in that program we are raising the adult uh lunch to four dollars and 20 cents for four dollars and we are had done a little experiment after spring break with allowing the seventh and eighth graders to take home laptops i'm not gonna lie to you it has not been without some damage so we would like to have a laptop fee of forty dollars for grades seven through twelve where per bore it was just nine through twelve and the rest would stay the same how many oh top

of my head i couldn't tell you uh well goodness gracious right there's teresa or street heinrich she can tell us exactly how many we have we started with 16 central plains and now we're down to 13 central plains and we started with 15 here and we had no sorry we had 14 here and we're 13. to approve the fees for mine to 23 as percent thank you for being here mrs heinrich now the uh board discussion on the air conditioner uh brian pettigo is here from ruby's i think larry larry's here from larry's heating cooling here in wilson we had marvin kermer larry brian all out looking at mini splits you've got uh information in a folder on mini splits from train which was very very expensive because they would have to do the air

handlers and everything with it uh brian anything you'd like to share um your bid was 77 well excuse me well i've got 67 000 up here and then set six i i can't read 67 000 down there too sorry anything you brian just had knee surgery so he might talk from over there if that's he's right back over there i these units are very efficient they [Music] they heat very well as well as doing they're 100 percent at minus five degrees and they've heat down to minus 18 degrees and they're very i mean 26 here is their um i forgot to hand out the sheets that i made copies of i apologize to my board i'm like why do all my copies say the same thing well that's why did i attach those in an

email to you yes they're coming around so i apologize to my board there is train today and here is marvin estimate on electric and i apologize for not getting all that out to you right now yeah i'm sorry brian so these units are made to uh so each room will have a unit a high high wall unit it's an outdoor condenser and control each room fire remote control the 26 here like i was saying before so i mean they're very very efficient and down to minus 500 degrees i'm sorry uh minus five uh at 100 efficiency so the chiller that you have now i understand you have four compressors out um i don't know what took those out but uh it's very quick very expensive to replace them or mix it so those christian questions

only have a one-year warranty to replace those what would happen if the other four went out there's eight compressors at chiller so use seven thousand or six seven thousand dollars to pixels with these mitsubishi they have a 12 year warranty on a diamond dealer for an inspection i proposed to a two-year labor warranty on those as well so anything would happen with uh between those two the installation and just two years i would cover uh so i don't have any questions one of the things i have a question about is when we were all here we spent a lot of time back in the mechanical room do you feel like there is enough power in those i mean are we going to have to run dedicated power to those units because that i had called

rolling hills and what i know about electricity is shockingly little uh our peak day in august and larry you'd help me hear 175 kilowatts or 355 amps over 480 volts can you help me with that i don't understand what that all means well the school has a large voltage coming to it and then it's messed up in different the unit on top that runs the heating cooling is uh 480 which is used with all the electricity that comes with the classrooms and everything else lighting that's all reduced down and used in a smaller amount of voltage to light and run things into classrooms when you did the ones at silva did they have to have electricity run over to the each unit or how did that work we did that we had enough power to

run those okay those units are uh the mid species are verbal speed and vertically driven compressors so they run at a very low hertz so most air conditioners are at 60 hertz these units run at 20 hertz and they go on a load so it's up and down so depending on the load outside uh it varies from the that's how the compressor is driven so they're very very efficient so are these for eyeball mounts or cassettes they're high wall mounts you put in one eye wall mount in each room or except for the library we put two uh 36 so it'll be six times the air in the uh library and that was not including uh this room right we're in right here it's still run off the big unit uh but it would include

like the interior rooms over here i think we had was it 15 total yes so we're talking that over there yeah nothing over nothing over there it would still run off of this apartment for now so what type of uh is there any estimate on the cost of electricity to get the power to all these units uh yeah you should have a sheet from marvin he had a rough estimate of like 49 000. 47 or 49 049 pounds i handed all my sheets out i had them all for a little bit now i don't have anything so every night my original thought i have since talked to empowerment a little bit and he said the return air with the mini splits would actually put more load plus noting the cost for those but it's going

to hold if you go back to the original estimate of train just to prepare the rtu unit that we have was 30 to 58 which is mr president i'd like to add something the compressor we're talking about didn't go out just boom at one time we had lost some quite a long time ago we lose one we're still able to run because it's so expensive to get somebody out there because you got to do a crane i was not involved in doing those changes but companies were and then we'd lose another one we went as far as we could go losing compressors until we told mr clark that you're going to have to do something so it isn't something that just happened sometimes it could have been blamed on storms like me there's various things

that can play a part of this i think many splits are are good for what they're good for but if you try to use an old system with that i think you're just putting more cost in to get bit in and then you're still got this other system you're going to have to maintain and keep up with and like marvin had mentioned you still got all the duct work that goes through the building is on the big deal so when you're needing cooling over here you need to address so it doesn't go any farther and just isolate that into the school there's a lot more cost besides what you're looking at on those papers uh to get the system to work together because right as he was talking about the many splits each one has

a remote control like a tv control it stays in that room and that room is getting taken care of by that remote control right now you have a system that at the end of the day it shuts all the classrooms down and goes in a nice setback the next day the big unit comes on the boiler comes on the building's brought back up and no one has to tell it to do it it also takes care of things on the weekends so if somebody doesn't turn things off you've still got a unit that's running when there's nobody here so you're going to have to have somebody go around and check the classrooms out i don't have a bid in i i'm just here mr clark asked me to come i've been with this building since

it was built i know it from head to toe i've worked on the unit on the roof i think you still have a good viable unit i think putting some money into the compressor system to me he makes the most sense so that's if anybody has any questions i'll be glad to try to answer their handlers are in there for a reason if we go with the many splits is that it doesn't play a part with the area plus schools are supposed to induce fresh air and i'm not sure the quantities of that and how much and how often but the unit on the roof is designed to put fair share into the building and that's supposed to help with the students [Music] got four compressors out so what took those compressors out i didn't

know i said they've been going out for a long time okay so you're going to spend 60 or 70 thousand dollars to replace those compressors you get eight compressors with the other four go out it's gonna be at another seventy thousand dollars i don't think you're gonna see a lot of that in my opinion one of them they're going out is the controller system here but the the control system that we have uh but i don't think the company but somewhere along the line uh this district had had a company come in to take control of those units and ripped out all the train controls this was before my time just want to make that going on and they run it like it was run like a house uh on off on off and they

really shouldn't do that it should just be and there's a whole bunch of other laundry list of things that they i've discovered in my working that have been not run correctly this is the only building we still currently have with that control system and am i remembering that the 58 includes some to help with that it does not [Music] will be provided and sold larry i've asked larry just give us a thermostat like because i i just but that that was you can't do that but um the thing is like you take the unit that we had at hollywood you'd have trained guys come out there and they'd watch it cycle for a day and it never would cycle on the exact same way there's oil in the bottom of these compressors when the compressor

is running the oil is not to be heated when it is not running the oil is heated it was being heated all the time we it got so bad my predecessor mr runge and i've continued it we would write the date that that was installed that compressor was installed so we would know if it went out within a certain amount of time so there's a lot to that am i kind of speaking right on that larry yeah okay that's amazing how much i've come to know about a big terrain air conditioning unit in eight years uh can't fix it but i tell you what's going wrong with it i think you know i think mini splits they've got their uh place and i think there's some places where we could definitely use them in our

district uh i don't know to me it would be more of a long-term fix for wilson but it also comes with a substantial cost so the board has all the information you've heard from heating and cooling experts so the 58 000 for how many are for four compressors wilson has eight large compressors central plains elementary has four large and three small with train controls uh if we had a little issue this morning we've got a little leak in the water heater somebody flipped off a breaker which caused our air conditioner not to work at central plains elementary school until they flipped it back on but i mean i understand what brian's saying in a sense when you you're going to put if you go with the one you're going to put 68 grand in which

is excuse me 58 grand 60 grand give or take which is 40 40 50 000 less than solving the problem for i don't know brian how long would that solve we put many splits in that's 12 more 12 year warranty so that's who you're to your labor warranty to your labor versus a one year compressor on all the four compressors so you know to me if if the other four go out then you're out that money you've got one year that's it you're still in africa and the money is electricity the money savings that you'll have proposed you'll catch your bill in half because guaranteed great yes sir you still have to add in to the cost of the management of electricity yes i understand that i understand that all right thoughts from the board

as train came in and said hey you have more issues than this compressor problem yeah they know they've been all through these units uh and we're talking coming back to that circumstance of the controls uh you know i i kind of hardly agree with you i think a lot of our issues is hey we got part of well this is important yeah it's like you bought a ford pickup truck and then had somebody put all gm electronics in to control it yeah uh hey great yes i had that those units those compressors they could be contaminated with acid as well i agree that you know too it's hard to get asked out of the system and then terry i'm not here no i'm just asking a question it's very hard you got eight compressors that's

a very large each use very large you can't get that acid out there so i mean this just saying i'm not trying to call it issues but yeah we i i gave out that information from that's got everything in it uh 111 000 compared to i mean 111 000 spent with train are we getting anywhere the proposal here is 30 to 58 000 to impair just the compressor just the compressor yeah well then and i like i was saying i know they had other steps yeah the building controls if we spend 120 000 with trains the rooftop unit and would you remember what times i gave that out here [Music] unless we get more duct work and stuff because of the pressure return and like they said if somebody doesn't remember to turn and i

was the big proponent the one wanting to check into the ministry mini splits you can you can set schedules we have them in bush they come on at 7 30 in the morning they shut off at 5. you can set times you can set temperatures you can set everything just like you do at normal thermostat or anything else so that part i'm not too worried about brian you had something yeah the mitsubishi mini splits will they throw air 35 feet and if you will i mean they'll take care of those rooms you know they'll play with those rims so even if you don't isolate the return air will still work is our return air just the ceiling area above the ceiling is that correct larry yeah there's no actual ducking duct excuse me duct work

so if i actually held it really to be honest with you i see some warrant there but i have a tough time justifying it because we're just doing you know portions of building we're still using it [Music] and i do understand that you know because we do spend the 58 60 000 and then we lose another one we're gonna have to you know replace that but it's still half still half price for the entire building well i'll make the same motion i made last month i'd like to replace the four compressors for 58 000 motion what do you want me to say there okay there's a motion on the table is there a second hi okay second by scammer is there any further discussion here well we will no matter what we will next year

and we have something so it's not 58 times four divided by four yeah so it's it's just repairing what we have was one of his options presented to place two instead well i don't understand the hesitation that's saying the hesitation we spend all this money and we're out there we the school district we put also in the capitol outlay i don't know if it's i don't know how you say we we the district so that's what we're talking about then every time something's going to go on it doesn't benefit wilson it's going to be this way need another weight room and black one and we still have seven more years on that how many more years so just trying to make a quiet decision here because that evidently wasn't a wise decision to do it

at that building so it's four of them down correct out of eight correct yes sir did anybody give you an ask a sample i've not i've not had anybody do an acid sample i don't know anything until you said that right now that's one thing i didn't know about those units okay i've been doing this for 30 years so i know what acid is in the system mary should know too so i'm just saying if you got four compressors out got eight compressors if another four go out then you're out that money i appreciate that right now we do have emotions i understand but i'm just my experience i appreciate it any further discussion motion on the table is to repair replace the four broken units for 58 58 000 all in favor raise your

hand two three okay but she's still upstairs thank you there's a motion to do to replace two of the units for the lesser amount of 36 even uh is yeah well i guess 200 what that just meant the price i had for two was thirty thousand thirty eight i did is that what you said that that's what i was thinking what well they still got the cost of bringing the crane out and all that fun stuff so 31. it's 30 038 dollars roger any further discussion hall of fame right most best okay and more discussion on the ina alert security proposal uh you had a presentation last month from jamie and jake from a out of wichita or excuse me out of ellenwood they are a vendor state approved vendor uh you have a packet

in there um and uh this the one thing that i that is not in this and they're getting it to me uh is vape detectors here at wilson but the majority of this work is cameras the first one is cameras at central plains high school uh second bid is the door access where they'd have cards and the third bid in there is 45 000 for the vape detectors you'll see pictures uh where all the vape detectors those are i don't know if they're printed in color or not the black dots and then you have a picture of the canvas where all the outer cameras would go and then another picture of the campus where all the inside cameras would go um this is district one no that's right most of this is this is all

just central plains high school right now we have nothing at wilson i'm getting they're getting me a vape detector bed he was headed to they're both headed out to western kansas so i don't doubt i got it i haven't checked my email i would like the board i don't need you necessarily to make a motion tonight but to consider spending this money out of esser for a secure entrance and vape detectors and cameras at our building in claflin and also vape detectors here at wilson senior junior senior high school do you expect not quite that much i couldn't believe how much fake detectors are those vape detectors are vape detectors smoke detector scuffle detector like if two kids were getting in a fight in there and it also would automatically alert that camera that's right

there to start make sure it was filming and also send an alert to the building principal or somebody else in the building that hey we got vaping going on fighting going on whatever it is [Music] probably not say at every single door but quite a few of the doors did they look at all the doors and say yeah we can yeah they have looked at all those doors part of me i'm in a real pickle here because part of me wants this and once it yesterday for student safety we have secure entrances like this building it's all contained central plains elementary schools all contained for somebody to get in they have to be buzzed in at clapton we have to have them go between a couple of different buildings but i'm also concerned that if

we were to do some work down the road would we still be able to salvage what we're putting in so we've got until what 23 24 to spend that esser money yes sir and part of me wants to say plow ahead let's get this done i think it's very important because clapland is security wise our biggest i'm going to say vulnerable area but i i also would be very interested i want those vape detectors too because i'm telling you guys we have got an issue in this district with vaping it is uh i don't want to say it's out of control but i think there's a lot of kids vaping what do you think potentially well i just would worry that like say we did a bond or something and they came in i'm sure

they could then retrofit it to the new door or whatever because if you were to do a bond you take central plains high school i think you're going to have to replace virtually every exterior door in that i mean i would think we could work in conjunction and say hey you know here here's what you did you know they would make it work um yes we have not used any s or three yet i i i'm still trying to get my plan through the state um i don't know how to talk about that all right um are these the only ones that we got a bid from yeah they are ellenwood they're on i talked to folks at the state there on that if you notice on the top of that bid it has state

contract number 48 20 3 7. i'm not saying i couldn't get them cheaper part of the draw for me with them was that they were local one of the things that they offer is for ninety five dollars a month it's optional remote monitoring so if we were not there and something were to happen they would and you know let us know hey just so you know something's going on up there whatever uh these cameras were they even they even proposed cameras and i thought it might be a bit much that did like facial recognition we have some instances where parents or guardians are not allowed to be in a school to get a kid or whatever you could upload that image and if that person came in that camera would notify you of that to

me that might be a little bit much but um uh yes those are in like virtually every locker room bathroom area for me it was red dots i should have had ink so i don't think we've ever done anything with vape detectors they did uh they're doing artists they're doing ourselves yeah who's that hp uh tell you what it's been awful uh the nice thing about it is it's endless and what you can use it for um that's why i was curious about if we only got one bed i know what hp charges um yes that would be something new is the big protective part but doesn't mean i can't do it right the old middle school was surrounded with cameras inside and out we got key cards um i got it programmed into my

phone so it comes straight into my phone uh how many times that car was when it was used it videos it as soon as it gets used uh whether it's going in and out so do we want to give the board a chance to digest this a little bit maybe give a very good chance to talk to local that's fine companies in the district i would like that consensus okay superintendent uh first off daycare at wilson and then kind of tied in with that i'll do two daycare on the central plains and worked up a sheet here on the proposal to operate group daycare in the wilson school facility we're still if you recall j.r robel he will be at our june meeting and i might even try to get him here for our special

meeting but i will definitely have him here for our june meeting his grant to help us run some day cares or get a daycare up and running is quite a process uh we're fortunate that here in wilson we have some the facility where we could get it up and running as soon as everything were to be approved through the state and then come back in and supplement it with some of the money that uh j.r robel is working on for example we have a director you have two employees 16 an hour 48 weeks pretty self-explanatory they would be district employees you have about 69 000 in salary i had district employees and basically what you have here for all this would be mirrored at our location on the central plains end of the district uh

i had district employees will be play half rate and if they wanted to keep their child in the program during the summer they would pay full price uh costs per child you can see birth 18 months 140 bucks a week 18 months and up 125 a week if they have more than one child in daycare they will receive a 20 discount these numbers you see here for a group daycare maximum of 12 are pulled straight from the state website and basically iran numbers if you were totally full and had no discounted kids or anything like that how much each of those one two three or four would bring in talked to uh another superintendent in winfield uh nathan and i have known each other for a long time they are running a daycare they are

doing it at no cost to the parents and are just it's just a program where they're just gonna eat it they think it's worthwhile they're just gonna eat the cost uh on the back side of that sheet i know wilson is working with dane hanson to get some extra funding i know they're very dane hanson is very supportive of uh daycares wilson has also done some fundraising for equipment and the like and i believe they're at about four thousand dollars and i think it's climbing a lot of little information there i'm really leery that we can get it open like on the first day of school because it's gonna that's where the folks that really want this up here are gonna have to really help out because there's a lot of requirements that would have

to happen between now and then fire marshall has to come i mean there's just a lot of things you have some additional costs you know the license 87 a year i would like to purchase the frog street curriculum uh that's what we're using in our three and four year old program there is a toddler an infant program as well uh snacks i said a thousand bucks i don't really know that would just be you know you could ask for donations we can serve them school lunch there's another program that would allow us to uh serve them school lunch you know we would have probably some increase in insurance some supplies trainings they would need to continue to attend materials etc i don't know three thousand dollars a year they are proposing and we haven't decided

a hundred percent i don't want to get hit in the back of the head by sandy right now on the location here in wilson uh i need to talk with some fire marshal on a few things there uh the pictures you see this is what j.r roble had worked up he's showing it in the kindergarten or excuse me early childhood classroom the second page you'll see he has sent in the proposal to do like a mobile unit sitting back there off of the rec center i talked to mike urban the mayor about this i mean honestly it is something we need to look at as a district uh as a positive for our parents uh i know wilson has already got a couple of ladies that are interested in being the director the assistant director

and if they they were to be hired for that i would put them in charge of getting this thing rolling because honestly running the district and trying to run into my wife used to run a group daycare so she helped me with some of this information um could be uh a bit of a challenge for somebody like me but we can get some people in here thoughts from a the board members you say winfield is doing it yes then are they full or they uh yeah they it varies um they have it in i believe he said two of their buildings don't quote me on that nathan um he used to be superintendent in fairfield that's how i got to know him now he's down in winfield uh they do not charge anything uh we're

not quite there yet uh do you know any other districts that are there's a i'll tell you i had a discussion at great bend is not doing a school sponsored daycare but they have signed off on a day care that will be built in great band they all they also at their old washington building have got some programs for teachers kids and things like that uh there is a need uh do we know numbers from here uh rough okay and this is why i want j.r to come and talk because i don't understand everything he's doing a hundred percent that's why i did it where we're paying for it or figuring out a way to pay for it the state will pay for the food you turn that into okay they've done as much if

not more research than i am uh he is going around and he has collected tax credits uh so a business will say in lieu of paying and i have won we probably got close to a hundred thousand dollars down on the central plains into the district where a company will say in lieu of paying 30 000 in taxes i will give thirty thousand dollars to this day care and somehow it all gets run through the state and we can use that money to like build the facility or update the facility or whatever it is we need to do uh i really want him to come and speak to that because that is what he does wilson has kind of got a group going and they really want to get jump started on this and then

kind of jump in at the end with uh with what jr has one of the other reasons that we have looked at claflin is we have a county commissioner down there who is really helping to push getting daycares in all the barton county communities eleanor hoisington-claflin great bend and he has i've got i need to get a hold of him i haven't done it yet be honest with you just haven't had time but maybe direct some money our way as well uh i would stress these daycares whether they're located in claflin hall they're in wilson would be open to any family in our district you know if somebody uh was worked in wilson and lived in hollywood maybe that would work out or whatever greg we already have a waiting list up here too got

the group setting committed and do we roughly know numbers of kids ages and babies would you just have to hire another person to take more kids yes so far two already me being the administrator and then my sister being the assistant administrator so so far there will be two people so we can get to a center setting enough kids well and i i like i've said to me if i get it to break even i'd be happy that's right i'd like to see them as free yeah yeah and that would be quite a like i said the one in claflin is still over probably a year out at least because it's a whole building that has to be brought in and put down uh we're fortunate like i said here that we can kind of

use some existing space and go from there so i guess what i would ask for tonight is this is where i'm going to struggle giving a recommendation to the board i recommend we do a daycare in wilson i can't tell you what i think the final cost to the district would be because i don't know what kind of money they're going to get from dane hanson you've applied through there right sabrina is working on sabrina is working on it okay um thank you like they are all about heaven for danger so there would be some money there that would be a positive in ellsworth county if we could get one going in hollywood the city they gained handsome money the city does have a commitment that's a great part for the community it's a great

perk for the school and their employees and i think it would be probably self-sustaining i believe once it got started great idea i mean yeah it's something that would draw people in exactly i mean is it feasible just to say that you know keep keep chugging along with it with it is that okay by consensus maybe keep fortune forward maybe at our special board meeting i might have two people to hire i would hire them as paris that way if this all falls apart i still got them to work and then but uh about to be an option um and kind of give you guys updates uh so good students work in there yeah absolutely yeah absolutely i've been a big and another thing that i have been a big proponent of in doing this

is uh i'm gonna ask the like i said if we're going to do this i don't want to do it halfway i want to go all the way we're going to use frog street curriculum the same we use that we will be using in third grade fourth grade so 30 year old four-year-olds i want to see at least quarterly parent involvement nights where parents come in and we have doctors we have nutritionists we have people that will say hey here's why you feed vegetables to your kids here's why you go to the doctor here's why you go to the dentist um i really want to focus i mean it's great for our kids our parents our teachers kids but also i really want to do it for our kids that we will be getting that

come from a little tougher environment and need a little bit more of the help still looking at working with tori hamake and hiring her she is a daycare surveyor right now which means she knows what to look for what not to look for she would also be a excellent help in the family engagement getting kids into the program uh mrs ozier can tell you my biggest fear on her capping three-year-old and not that i'm not okay with it because we got to know numbers is i don't want somebody coming in who i really need their kid in the three-year-old program and then we don't have a space for them that is my biggest concern because if the sooner we can get them and get them headed on the right track the less trouble and issues

we'll have as we move forward is my opinion so how about uh by consensus the board agreed to pursue the daycare programs at wilson and central plain does that sound okay or will's in a cloud and then they'll just keep going wilson's a little further ahead yeah they're way further ahead wilson for right now right nicely okay well i think you can put something i mean we can proceed yeah yeah we're we're going to keep working toward it but i think wilson could have jumped the ball harder yeah yeah j.r is going to help you that clap yeah he's gonna he's coming to our june meeting he couldn't this one because we set in some meetings with him and i write a bunch of notes but i don't always understand he knows how all those

intricacies worked all right um i want to talk one of the things that the board had asked me about was roof repairs at central plains and wilson and i want to know if you want me to send these out for bid we work in the past with john williams from washington roofing in your folder you should have a couple of pictures from the school here in wilson and the school in hollywood uh where you will see areas that need to be addressed uh this is his email from me this is way back in december holy cow that's a long time ago uh seal all fasteners valleys ridge then flashings with i'm going to say it's like a bed liner in your truck but thicker they will color match it to the best of their ability

uh he has walked our ruse he's the guy that has done our entire roof of clapping uh you know he said his thoughts and i this is why i like john i've known john he was a couple years older than i was in high school uh he uh flat out you don't need to do your whole roof coat it because most people want to come out and coat every inch of your roof he said uh i just do your valleys your seams and so forth uh i'd have a couple other companies i'd need to send this out to bid for uh high school you know my thought is on the i don't know that we need to do the gym at hollywood mrs ogre do we have many leaks in that area we have we

didn't have them on this live stream every once when we get one around where the heat was connected okay uh my thought would be you just kind of deal with uh the hollyrood maine area and then that maine wilson school building and i don't know when he says 1611 square feet i i did not talk to him today uh if that is the whole entire building or just one side of it that seems kind of low to me but i will ask you're talking 16 voting leaner that's not square footage yeah and that could be the whole building because he's only talking about seams that's very good thank you josh from his uh they're already looking at stuff that we've had damage on i i tried to get john to walk it with my insurance

agent but he cannot contact my he doesn't feel comfortable contacting the insurance agent i need to get a hold of cassidy and have them hook up on my behalf to look at the building and i i will do that just i wanted to give the board an update i know chad had mentioned i don't know probably over a year ago we need to look at these roofs we need to look at these roofs because if your roof goes bad the rest is coming right after it so uh i my hope would be but by june i can get you some bids i'll have insurance and uh maybe we could get it started after july first i mean we had that wind storm over in claflin was it the december one toby where we had some

damage up on the roof he's reading his phone uh whatever we called them they were out they fixed it when we had the hail storm they were over there covering all the broken sun skylights uh taking care of us great company they've done well by us if the board would like for me to go ahead and get bids and proceed forward with that i think we need to all right thank you uh legislative update they're not in session right now and i gotta walk you wouldn't be you'd be surprised uh we actually have legislators that watch our board meetings because i got called up and i was uh reprimanded saying they hadn't accomplished anything they only listened to one thing yeah she wanted to debate me on that and i was more than happy to

at that moment so uh you know here's my problem and if you're listening i want you to hear this they deal with stuff that just doesn't matter they are parents bill of rights any parent in our district can come into my office a principal's office their teacher's classroom our teachers send home stuff we put stuff i mean you can find out whatever we're doing you know they throw out this thing that well they want to talk about when uh i'm going to say human growth and development or sexual education is taught and they'll tell you it was taught well we got we're teaching it in kindergarten we're not teaching it in kindergarten we're not teaching it in first grade fifth grade mrs osher the boys watched the boys the girls watched the girls is that

right and in sixth grade i think they watch each other's correct not sure on that but we're not doing it down in and they spread that out there and it's not true and they spend all this time hyping everybody up that my gosh they're talking to kids in kindergarten about what whether they're a male or a female 100 percent false and that hacks me off so sorry if you're listening you heard it um governor vetoed parent millerites and i don't think it uh will have uh they don't have enough votes to override it uh the one on uh the transgender uh really they what everybody says is let the kansas high school association deal with that because there could be some legal liabilities for school districts uh they are one thing i'll give you credit

they're looking at helping us with some liability like we've always had concerned if we send a kid out to work in holster manufacturing or the gas plant covering those companies so the kid was out there and he got hurt they couldn't come back on the company or come back on the school they did not they had the opportunity so if you see one they have the opportunity to fully fund special education and they didn't do it and for our district that's about a 250 000 hit to our budget every year because they don't fully we spend well over 300 000 in local assessments but it's probably 250 000 think about that that would fund a pretty healthy raise for every teacher in our district if they would fund special education they never have i know

it's what it is i tell you one good thing again i'll give them credit where credit's due and i'll pound a little on them when it's not due uh they're kicking in some more money for student mental health which i appreciate also putting in some money for uh safe and secure which we might be able to use for some of that uh ina alert they're putting in some money allowing us some some is it they said for money four million dollars uh in art funds for that virtual math program they originally said they picked the program out and that always makes you nervous when legislators are picking out the math program they want your kids to do uh makes you wonder if somebody around there somewhere might have stock in that business i don't know

now they've just said it's going to be certain virtual programs our district does well enough we're not going to have to worry about that um you know there's there's a lot of little things in there that they're going to be working on they've they've got some of their access to grind and stayed alive so i'll keep on top of them i'll give one of our representatives credit she was willing to come out and spend a day in our district but i couldn't be here that day i had to go do something so we're going to do it once she's done so if you ever hear her our superintendent can be kind of tough on us that's probably true uh that's all i have thank you open agenda need to do a budget republication we could

do that by zoom or in person in the evening what would you guys prefer the dates would be um yeah i've got to get the form in the newspaper publish it and then we have to wait 10 days to have the hearing after that so we're looking at um like the last week in may like the 25th 26th or 27th i'm going to try to get that if i can't get in the elsewhere paper i can get a great bent paper because they publish on wednesday friday sunday so i can grab one of those um so anytime i yeah 25th 26th or 27th 25th or 26th probably i get in the paper on the 13th one two three four five six seven eight yeah sorry i'm talking about if the the budget that we're going

to republish is not the general fund that's going to be the virtual fund number 15 it needs to be higher because we're getting more credits earned and we have to have the authority to pay graduation alliance for those credits earned so that's what we're doing it's no tax dollars or anything like that just basically we're paying for republication to get that budget up high enough so we can pay them as these credits are earned for those grants and that will also allow us to collect a little more money yeah 20 and over is the account that's the main money maker for that so i'll try to get that amendment done and send that to the paper those are the days and like he said we could probably do it soon i could get you the

stuff to look at you know yeah there's several things we're going to need to do i might recommend we do it in person yeah and then we'll have other things on this special meeting besides just that but i've started a little list already here so thank you so on that agenda will be budget republication and then district office location yes what else oh we may have personal personnel yeah we'll get an agenda out you know it can't be changed but we'll get to the point exactly what we're going to have on there i might wait because i this one here every day i turned around i was getting another that's why i typed up but i've never had to actually type up amendments to the agenda which i did this month [Music] any other open

agenda uh items for next month you know i want to review our ovt visit we've received our report from our obt team uh kudos to our district our district leadership team they gave us brave reviews for what we were doing for students i also need to readdress the strategic plan that we have and i might have usually this month is a month i give the communities that care survey data but i don't have that yet so i might have that and if i can work up a report by then i'd like to present that that lady i think that meeting is going to be at clapton's turn june 13th is the second of june let me go back um just to the opening slides there was i don't know if everybody's seen it or not

sports in kansas there was a write-up for my parents um from saint paul about the state parliamentary that was like three days i think it was something very special about being from a small school in kansas if you are from london you understand this you recently received this email from the spectator at the k e m f f a state paralympic championship chad i saw your post where you were a keynote speaker at the ke mfa avant coaches feed simply can't be whenever any athlete attempts to tie or break a state record they stop the meet so all athletes can watch and support one another through the video of one of the parents at our school saint paul took of g events report record breaking 355 pounds wide at stake a video like this could

have been taken several times of any athlete's record-breaking attempt they all stop and watch and support it's one of the most awesome things i've seen in the video you can see the meat chris bainer right left their team sherry herron he's right there with every athlete central plains says an awesome job of hosting the state paradise of course we are proud of the athlete that our school right in the state river that i'm way more proud of what's going on behind the athletes great things going on in this state don't see it and i was there in it really like that was my first experience with good job chris uh any other items for next one there was a couple camera motions thanks everybody
