Uh praise major laser light show stars um physics in the world plays just to name a few of the um shows educational programs that we help out. We're looking at the desire to expand programming in 2025 and 2026 school year with an opportunity center around science music and math. Uh Westford keeps program tradition of promoting perfect literacy and love for reading students received over by Dr. um which also has special former mobile board member Miss H. I don't want to mess up her name. Mr. H was moved by this tribute to his late wife. So he generously donated to help fund a future book for teams selection.
005So we thank him for that. Um along with some other books that we handed out to our kindergartens kindergarters. Uh student enrichment support beyond the classroom provided transportation funding for the seventh free class trip to Philadelphia Zoo. Uh national honor society trip to Hattisburg. We support our high school trip for service studies to the Eastern State Penitentiary as well. So we thank you to all of our generous supporters. All this work is made possible through the wonderful generosity of our community partners and donors and we extend uh heartfelt thanks to the likes of management full teachers fundraisers alumni scholarship program music scholarship and the gladis foundation and your continuous support always allows us to bring meaningful programs to life and expand what's possible for our students. Um but uh the professionalism of which they they demonstrate um and they conduct themselves with makes the job easier to do and makes it easier to deal with the issues that we face. So uh much appreciation to them. We had I think an excellent ceremony for graduation just a couple weeks ago. Our students did an amazing job of making that ceremony very uh formal. um and very

We have increased our collection
010rate to 96% into the budget making that an increase of 731,56 to the real estate tax added on to our revenue with a total rate at 96% of the total amount of 15,325872. expect from the real estate tax collections. With that on page three of the PowerPoint, we have the local, state, federal, and um and public revenues, we have total amount of 26,60811,000 for the entire school year budget. In revenues, we have out of that salaries are estimated at 15,394,460. that between professional staff or staff administration and others. Although we did include most of the increases with the mass negotiations that still to be added and may have to be an increased expense amount. We have departmental expenses account that total 7,45,437,000 that includes special education other district such as transportation, tuition, charters, um secondary
011facilities, technology, business office and elementary. We have other accounts estimated sorry I mentioned charities these ones. Um the other sense account estimated at 4,169,000 out of that charge designated 1,324,000 in budget. Again we have technical school um in here as well that the century and others we have total expenses estimated again to match our revenue at 26,608811 and as previously mentioned this is a very very tight budget. Um we are hoping that we would not go we would not outweigh our actual versus our budget plan but we will keep a a tight track of it throughout the year and hope to stay on track. So with this we are at the zero deficit making that real estate increase at 4.8% presenting that we would not the next steps would be to adopt and improve the

And why are we considering cutting an assistant principal and a librarian while allocating this level of funding to a temporary consultant? We could also use that money to upgrade the accounting system and use something a little bit more userfriendly for us. These are major tradeoffs that impact our students and staff. I urge the board to either postpone the decision or provide a detailed explanation of why it is necessary. It's not just a budget issue, it's a values issue.
