Along with Dr.

Um and items related to personnel information items were discussed at that executive session as well. That's my report. Thank you. Uh we have no student spotlight for this evening. Our committees of the whole were actually in last week, but we'll go ahead and give those uh reports when uh time comes this evening. So we'll move right on into the liaison reports. Uh Miss Stern for the IU and legislative reports. >> Thank you. Uh both September and October uh reports are attached to board docs. Uh we met September 16th. Um we also met last night, October 21st. Um a lot of really amazing things happening at the IU. Uh they opened a new facility. Um we're meeting

004there next month. Uh it sounds beautiful. Um we meet again on Tuesday, November 18th. anything in the legislative wide? >> Yes. I'm so sorry. Uh it really just that um all of the governments are shut down and um that's really the the the long and short of it. We have no state budget uh going into our fourth month here. Um and I think everyone's aware that the federal government is also shut down. So not a lot happening. >> Thank you. uh public relations commun uh communications committee has not met uh tech school Mr. Murray on September. >> Make sure you're using your 29th past Monday. Last Monday, >> we accepted administrative directors that are intend to retire effective August 2026. The PTO wants to thank everybody that participated in the trick or treat. Another fantastic event. Um, and they are having their next meeting on Wednesday, November 5th at the Grand View Cafeteria at 6:00 p.m. and are encouraging everyone to attend. And they would also like me to let you know that they are now selling pencils. If you're unfamiliar, it's a smelly pencil. When you sharpen it, it smells. uh different goods not uh but they are selling those forms went out. You can find their forms on Facebook if you need a copy. Uh but the sales are due Friday, October 24th

006and they will be delivered on Halloween, October 31st. That's >> Thank you. Hopefully it's better than markers. Uh the uh Mr. Brochington is not here so we don't have a rolloff report. And the joint committee between burough council and the school board meets uh next month November 5th at 7:00 here in the uh moving on to administrative reports. Dr. Dostster. >> Thank you. Um just a couple of updates for everybody. everyone that I continue to be in contact with our state representatives and working with legal counsel as well as the IU executive team on any movement and progression with the state budget. As M Stern just mentioned, there has been none. Um, and we will be holding a uh site for Senator Santa to have a press conference here out in front of the high

007school this coming Friday in 2 days at 100 p.m. And uh that was arranged uh today midday. And the point of the press conference will be to highlight some of the uh impacts that are had and felt by students and school communities with the state budget not being passed. So the discussion will really center around um you know funds not going into programming and field trips and and things like that for our students that they normally would and uh they're they're coming here um and they're going to highlight basically the impact felt around the county for all school districts. I will have an opportunity to speak and I will be focused on the impact here for specifically Morrisville students um as that is my concern and my focus. So, uh, that's going to occur Friday

008at, um, 1:00. Also, I just want to say that to this point in the year, our students have really adjusted and adapted to the the Chromebooks being kept here in district. We've had um a really positive response by our students. We've also uh it's allowed our teachers to have some great conversations with kids and make some adjustments for work that needs to get done and made up. Um and it's being handled at each level I think incredibly well and the number of uh tickets through our uh IT department is certainly down in comparison to last year. So my hats off to the job that our students have done in adjusting to this change in Chromebooks. And then the last thing I have is that in speaking with the uh superintendent um at uh Brislboro, we

009are playing our Thanksgiving Day game at their field. Uh it was originally this year was supposed to be at Morrisville, but due to the game being cancelled last year, that game will be held back on their field um as they would have had that game last year. So it will then come back to us in uh November of 26. So, and that concludes my report. >> Thank you, Dr. Tosser, and thank you for the um continued uh pushing of our state legislators and and that bringing the bringing our uh district to their attention and um explaining to them the the effects of this budget impass our students. Thank you. uh from the business office, Mrs. Mosovski. >> Um it's a short report. We continue to um we continue to do daily operations for the school

010district in the business office. Continue to strategically pay our um our vendors and due to the budget impass we are continue to do rolling forecast um and moving forward. >> Okay. Not a lot. Thank you. Uh any questions regarding either of those reports? Thank you. Uh moving on to enrollment figures. Grand View 209, intermediate school 187, middle school 205, high school 2011, and out of district placement of 150 with a total enrollment of 952 students. Public comments. The education committee met on October 13th at 6 p.m. here in the LGI. We discussed the following topics. We talked about curriculum. The district has been getting support from the Bucks County Intermediate Unit as we utilize new programs that were adopted within the last two years. The district does not have a curriculum coordinator. So, the Bucks County Intermediate Unit has been a helpful tool in adopting these new curriculums for our district. We discussed the inservice day.

013The staff will have a virtual inservice day on November 4th. In the morning, the staff will participate in learning about AI in schools as well as literacy based learning. In the afternoon, staff will complete their annual trainings which are due by November 21st. We also discussed student life. Administration and staff have been working their way through daily life for our students. They are looking to improve learning throughout the district. This consists of teachers working on building and demonstrating certain teaching skills that build on one another. The administration has been completing walkthroughs to ensure consistent learning and execution of these skills by our staff. We also talked about Chromebooks. Chromebooks have been remaining at school this year and so far cost for damages and replacement are significantly down from previous years. This concludes my report. >>

It is impacting day-to-day decisions regarding payment of bills and other expenditures. Um, Dr. Doster was slated to present the applications for

016the Morrisville School District on 1017 to the Bucks County Superintendent. Did you do that? Do we know it yet? Gee, with the state shut down, we don't have an act. Imagine that. Meetings will begin with each of the departments to discuss needs for next year.
