in the 50 and 100 free. And then our boys basketball team won in the quarterfinals of districts. They played against Pocono Mountain West and the score was 50 to 47. Thank you for having me present. >> Okay, thank you Maya. >> Okay, I think that's it, Mr. Schiffer, right? We just have the other postponements with the with the brass band and public relations. >> That is correct. I think those will be better served uh in person and we look forward to those in March. >> Okay, Mr. Molly, do we have any correspondence to the board? >> No correspondence. >> Okay. 013can you please present your administrative matters? >> Absolutely. Uh I am looking at the board to approve all uh acknowledge the support personnel agendums. agenda items, excuse me, as attached. And we do need a roll call for that letter A. >> So move for that. >> So that we're going to have a motion to approve administration matters for 12A. Yes.
Motion fails. >> Attorney Gillsbach, can you provide some guidance there? >> Um, yes. It require for the board to move forward. There needs to be five to approve it. There needs to be five votes in favor. So, it would not carry. It's it's item 12A that we're on. Yeah. That that would not that that item would not carry. Am I able to change my vote? >> Um, I I'm able to make a motion to have a revote on that or not, Mr. Gilsbach. >> No. Um, no. If we're doing a motion for reconsideration, the person who moves has to be a person cannot be a person who voted in favor. So, so m Miss Feno could do a motion for reconsideration because she um did not vote in favor of it. Um, so she would
have to make it. Then we would need someone to second that and anyone can second it. >> Okay. >> All right. Would you like to make the motion? >> Yes, I'd like to make a motion for reconsideration, please. >> Okay. Can we uh pull the board, Mr. Malay, on approving of that motion? >> I'll second that motion first and then >> Okay, Mr. Williams, is a second? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Mr. Mallay, can you pull the board on that? Attorney Gillsbach. So, this is a motion that we can uh repole the board or is this repolling the board for motion 12A? >> No, this is a this is a motion for reconsideration. So, you're simply voting on whether or not we can revote on item 12A. >> Okay. >> If we pass this motion, then
we will open up another voting opportunity to vote on 12A in the administrative matters. So theoretically, no, no one would have to abstain on this because it's not actually on the motion itself. It's on the reconsideration. >> Correct. You can Yes. If Joe, so if you vote a no or a yes or abstensia, it's you're just voting to revote. You can still vote the same way, but we're not at that vote. >> There's no need to abstain if you were someone that would have had to abstain, >> correct, >> on the actual motion. You don't have to abstain on this because it's not the actual motion at hand. It's the motion to consider. Correct. >> Correct. Yes. >> Okay. Okay. >> Okay. Mr. Williams. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Goggler. >> Yes. >> Dr. Hartman. >>
Abstain. You >> don't have to. >> Mrs. Fanel. >> Yes. >> Mr. McCool. >> Yes. >> Mr. Salum. >> No. >> Mr. Shields. Yes. >> Five. Yes. Uh motion passes. >> Okay. Now, since that motion has passed, I'm going to reopen this up to have a I'm looking for a motion to vote on administrative matters 12A as they being presented. Can I have a motion to vote on this? >> I'll make the motion. >> Mrs. makes the motion. Mr. Williams is the second. Mr. Malay, can you pull the board, please? >> Mrs. Goggler, >> yes. >> Dr. Hartman, >> abstain. >> Mrs. Fel, >> yes. >> Mr. McCool, >> yes. >> Mr. Salum, >> no. >> Mr. Shields, >> yes. >> Mr. Williams, >> yes. >> Five, yes. Motion carries. Okay, Mr. Schiffer, you can
continue with administrative matters. >> Thank you, Mr. Mcool. Uh, so following along in uh 12 administrative matters, I am asking the board to approve and acknowledge all personnel agenda items as attached. Approve all affidavits as attached. Approve the tutorial agreements with National Hospital for Kids in Crisis as attached. Acknowledge residency of institutionalized children as attached. And finally, acknowledge homebound instruction as attached. >> Okay. Do I have a motion to do so? >> So move. >> Okay. Mrs. Goggler, do I have a second? >> Second. >> Mr. Shields, is a second. Mr. Mal, can you pull the board, please? >> Mr. Shields? >> Yes. >> Mr. Williams? >> Yes. >> Mrs. Goggler? >> Yes. >> Dr. Hartman? >> Yes. >> Mrs. Spain. >> Yes. >> Mr. Mcool. >> Yes. >> Mr. Salum. >> Yes. >> Seven.
Yes. Motion carries. >> Okay. Thank you, Mr. Schiffer. Thank you, Mr. Malay. Okay. This takes us to our superintendence report. >> Yes. I don't know that um Mrs. Filman is on as sometimes she is at our board meetings and would provide a PTO plus report. Um just verifying Mrs. Celite that Mrs. Filman is not available this evening. Is that correct? >> That is correct. >> Okay. So from from my end there are some things that I would like to report out from our buildings. Uh starting with the high school, they are celebrating the exceptional achievements of Dallasish, Jenna Gel, and Briana Figueroa, who recently showcased their technical excellence as Skills USA winners during the competitions at the Allentown Fairgrounds recently. Um, additionally, our counseling team is engaged in personalized one-on-one sessions with students to really
align their 2627 course selections with their future aspirations while simultaneously coordinating a scholarship program for the class of 2026. There's a lot of momentum building across campus as we prepare for the March 2nd launch of spring athletics and we are really anticipating the upcoming prom fashion show on February 27th which I believe um Maya made note of in her her student council report at the middle school. Very productive throughout the month in February centered on community service and academic progress. Uh, student council hosted a successful canned food drive where home rooms had a friendly competition to collect items for our local food pantries. Musically, the middle school band students showcased their talent during the bands in the round concert. Academically, our MTSS specialists led data meetings to review midyearl results, which were very rewarding. Uh,
seeing a lot of growth that students have made since fall. Additionally, our eighth graders have begun their transition to high school by working closely with the high school counseling and administration to navigate the course selection process. As I mentioned with the high school report, really looking forward to a very busy and exciting spring. So, spring is on the minds of of everyone in Zephyr. Very busy, rewarding month. Teachers were collaborating closely with our math and reading specialists to analyze student benchmarking data to adjust their instruction for students. Fourth graders recently visited the Da Vinci Science Center for an interactive learning experience through various exhibits like the super coolness exhibit which allowed for students to observe the effects of extreme temperatures on everyday materials. That was fitting for the winter that we've been experiencing. Uh Mr.
Johnson and our Schwebs committee successfully hosted our winter Olympics, an event where students engaged in a variety of athletic competitions, hands-on science experiments, a STEM challenge, and musical performances. They celebrated students hard work during grade level marking period award assemblies. Looking ahead, excited for the latest secondstep programming. They are social emotional learning lessons which focus on equipping students with practical problem solving skills as one of the characteristics of the profile of a Zephyr at STEL February. Great month third grade gifted class presented their project at the invention convention in Hershey. Our team was one of 56 teams chosen to present their design from a pool of over 400 applicants from across the state. The team had a great time sharing their design and learning from other students. The team wishes to thank the board for
their support by allowing them to attend the fun event. STEL also participated in a annual Super Bowl fundraiser collecting over 2600 items that were donated to our local food bank to celebrate marking period 2 successes with benchmark testing growth and schoolwide behavior. Transformed the upstairs pit multi-purpose room into a movie theater. grade level pods watched on a movie on blankets and enjoyed freshly popped popcorn. This month they are learning strategies to demonstrate our profile of a zephr trait being a problem solver. And lastly at Gley the students and staff there enjoyed a schweb's pep rally schoolwide positive behavior supports. I should have prefaced that for anyone listening but there was a pep rally during booster week. The white hall cheerleaders corral band and big z led the celebration. Students were excited to see their classmates
featured in videos which reviewed the I can train expectations and they cheered on teachers who participated in a minute to win it challenge. Our new schoolwide positive behavior incentive program awards train puffs for classes displaying expectations in art, gym, music, library, STEM, cafeteria and hallways. Winning classes are featured during announcements and they receive a shiny golden trophy to display in their classrooms. The hundth day of school was celebrated on Wednesday, February 11th with themed learning activities and special events throughout the buildings or building, excuse me. And that ends uh my comments from the buildings and and my report, Mr. Mcool. >> Okay. Thank you, Mr. Schiffert. This takes us to our other matters. Actually, before that, we're going to talk about our upcoming meeting dates, which will be Monday, March 9th at 4 PM for
our committee meetings and Monday, March 23rd at 7 p.m. for a regular board meeting. The school directors would like to acknowledge the tenure of Keegan Buck at Whiteall High School. And the school directors are also acknowledging the field trips that are listed on tonight's agenda. Are there any comments from the board or anyone in administration? Okay, with that said, I'm looking for a motion to adjourn a meeting. So, >> move. Okay, >> Mr. Saloon, is there a second? >> I'll second. >> Thank you, Mrs. Fenel. The meeting is now adjourned. Have a good evening, everyone. >> Thank you, Mr. Mcool. Thank you.
