001Now we're live. >> And we have new visitors. Second session, we did not have an executive session today. Uh Got a couple of things on the budget. One item for discussion I'll bring up is a feasibility study that we can discuss. Uh Is there a microphone? Admin office to pursue it. Approximately $5,000 for Crabtree to look at our district and assess our needs and prepare to go to a plan for the future. >> When was the last time we had it done? How many years ago? >> 2008. >> Eight. >> There was one done. I think it's what led to this building. >> Okay. I didn't know it was that long ago. Okay. >> Any other questions? Vote for, not for. >> Well, a lot needed to be done then. And I'm guessing that even
002more needs are now. >> I agree, too. >> You good? >> Yeah. Same thing I would change. >> Yep. I'm fine. >> All right. Feasibility study vote. You good? Do you have any other motions? Uh Uh general fund budget of 26,270,000 We have uh two different motions. I'm going to let you explain the two. >> Yeah, so we have two motions on the um on the agenda here. The first motion um again is for in the amount of $39.4 million for the general fund budget. And it would establish the real estate military in Centre County 65.12, Clearfield County 73.04. Um second motion, again 39.3 million. Centre County millage would be 64.58, Clearfield County would be 72.44. So, the the first motion again when we look at that, the millage increase, the total mill increase in
003total would be um it would be a 3.23% total increase in Centre County and 2.97% in Clearfield. Again, of that 2. of that 3.23% in Centre County, 2.3 is the rebalance. So, um the actual board motions would would constitute about a 2% increase, total increase about 3%. The average taxpayer again Centre County we're looking at $60 increase a year, Clearfield $40 a year. On the second motion, um we would only be looking at a 2.39% increase in Centre, 2.13 in Clearfield. Total about 2 and a quarter. Um again, the rebalance is 2.3 in Centre County, so we would be looking at a mill change of about less than flat. And then Clearfield would be about 1.51. So, the board again on the school board side you're only looking at about a 1.15% increase. So, um
004that's kind of the the sum of it. Again, motion one would give you a little bit more tax revenue, about 100 grand more. Uh number two would give you 500 grand less. >> So, it's good. All right. Somebody give me a motion to approve number one, the general fund budget for 2026-2027 school year in the amount of 39,402,468. Establish the 2026-2027 real estate tax rates as follows 65% >> [cough] >> 73.04 Is there a motion? >> Motion. >> Second. >> We have a motion and a second. We have a roll call, please. >> Mrs. Danny Shaw. >> Yes. >> Dr. Palmieri. >> No. >> Mrs. Plush. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Cooksley. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Weinstein. >> No. >> Mr. Bankes. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Wesneski. >> No. >> And Mr. Wood. >> Yes. >>
0055 to 3, motion carried. >> Motion carried 5 3. There is a motion. We do number two. Is that inside the agenda? >> No, you'd rather do it at this point. >> Do it at this point. The motion carries for number one. The budget. Is there anything else to talk about? Do you have anything? >> No. Nothing additional. We'll get to work on the trap tree. I have the information here. >> Next meeting is >> June 27th. >> Next Monday. >> Yeah, Monday. >> June 27th. >> Yeah. >> I do have a quick question. About how What was our I think you said something earlier. What was our um total expenditure and revenue like in like 21-22? >> So, 21-22 Pull that up. We were looking at It was about $33.5 million. And again, this
006year we were looking at about 39.3. Now, in the 39.3 that we have in there, again, we have a $500,000 transfer to capital. And again, we have a a budgetary reserve in there of about 800,000. Um but again, the main drivers that have been driving expenses from 21-22 have been the health insurance and then um and special ed side we've seen a lot of increase in the outlay. >> So, we've been How much approximately have we increased in the last few years? >> Well, that's that is Well, if you look at that, that's probably about a 20% increase. >> What do we expect to see moving forward? I know we had like Boston number like 5-600 grand just in salaries. >> Yeah, so you when you're looking at salaries and benefits right off the bat
007and everything, you're looking at about in that 5-600,000 dollar range. And so, the wild card is going to be how much the health insurance impacts that. And then go from there, but if you would look at that, that's about um on the budget that we have right there, that 5-600 um would be at least 2% right there. So, 3% would be around 900,000. So, um the good news so far this year has been our health insurance experience has been positive. So, again, the move that budget professional recommended to get out of the distortion has been a productive one. >> Any other questions? Any motion to adjourn? >> Motion. >> Second. >> All in favor? >> Aye.
