Hello USD264 staff, stakeholders, parents, students, and anyone watching on YouTube. Uh, welcome to our Clearwater Clarity, our superintendent update, uh, volume 21 for October 2025. Uh, kind of interesting. We're already to the beginning of October. It feels like we just started school the other day. Uh, but October's here, Fall Fest is here, homecoming is here, everything is kind of getting started this week. So what we really want to bring to you as an update uh is our board goal um that has been set by the board of education set in uh September and one of the goals for this year based on our strategic plan is to leverage students ability to produce and distribute content. Uh part of what we are also looking at is that students in both the all three buildings elementary west
middle school and high school have been producing great content both uh uh analog and digitally. So, we've been producing a lot of content that is artwork. Uh producing a lot of music, a lot of theater, uh also a lot of uh artwork and video productions and podcasts, but what we're um not maybe doing as well as a district is that we're not getting that content distributed. Uh not getting it to where it's visible and viewable by the community andor by the parents. So, that is one of our goals this year and something that we're really focused on right now. So, why are we doing this is we really want to make sure that we can share with our community and our stakeholders what students are actually creating. Um, we have a an amazing abundance of
opportunities for our students to uh share in in the things that they're learning uh from a more vocational standpoint, not always just English, math, language arts, and social studies, but a lot of times also what are they doing uh in the fine arts classes. Uh, so you know, some people may or may not know that we had a student graduate last year that got a full ride scholarship, full ride to a public university in the state of Kansas at Fort Hayes for art. Um, that's not something that, you know, we knew internally, but we may not have been taken the opportunity to really publicly uh push that information out as well as we could. So, some of those things are what we're going to be really focused on. So, we have art classes that we're
providing K12 for our students. We have a podcasting class at uh Clearwater High School that's taught by Mr. Seth Row. And then we have a video productions class at CIMS that's taught by Mr. Craig Melon. So, we're really going to focus on leveraging and getting some of that content out there. How are we going to do that? So, monthly we are going to rotate um art that is distributed uh to Home Bank and Trust, Enterprise Bank, the Clearwater City office, and the district office uh here at USD264. Um, so that's one thing that we're going to do and that's going to get started this week. Uh, we'll hopefully have artwork to all of those locations by October 2nd. Um, and we'll get started and the first Friday of every month is when the artwork is
going to be rot uh, rotated. So, if you happen to go to home bank or imprise or go to the city office or even come by the district office, we will have student work that is displayed uh, for you to be able to view and and be able to have that opportunity. Secondly is we're going to start pushing through our YouTube channel and through Facebook is we're going to have weekly shows that the students are producing for their podcasting class and for video production. So our YouTube channel will be a one-stop shop not only to come watch the Clearwater Clarity and our superintendent update, but to also look at some of the uh shows that the students are putting together for CIMS video productions and our podcasting class. And by the time this is released
and we're going to be able to push some out some information uh and those videos are already there on our YouTube channel. So when are we going to do this? We're going to start October 3rd. So we're going to be able to start pushing that out. We'll be able to have it weekly for our video productions class. We're going to have weekly for our podcasting class and then monthly for our art classes. So you should be able to check back the YouTube channel, the school website. will also have a link to all of those uh production classes and or visit the locations in town monthly uh for those art classes. So, we're really excited about this opportunity to be able to showcase our students and their work. And we're hoping uh as a community and
as stakeholders, you take the opportunity to visit those locations uh and take a look at some of those artwork. And then also the last thing that we're going to add to this is monthly at our board meeting, we will have we have shelves in our board uh meeting room now and each building will get to showcase an artist of the month uh during our board uh meeting. So that's another exciting opportunity that we have. So we're always focusing on being in the arena and making sure that we're all supporting each other and lifting each other up because we are just one team, one family, one district. And as always, you can uh reach out and connect with me. Sit down and schedule a meeting. uh reach out, give me a phone call if you have
some concerns and or you can uh look us up on social media. So again, great and excited about our opportunities in October. And if you're watching this on YouTube right now, go ahead and click on over and look at some of the other videos that we have on YouTube from our CIMS productions and our podcasting class. Have a great day.
