Hello everybody. Welcome back to the CHS podcast. Today we're going to be interviewing the homecoming candidates. I'm here with Lane, Jared, Fenmore, and Dalton. So, we got a few questions for you guys. Um the first one, if you guys or if you could describe your high school experience in three words, what would they be? Lane, you're first. Um, on the spot here, I'd probably go with enjoyable, um, memorable, and rowdy. >> Yeah, >> I like that. >> That's probably That's probably what I go with. >> I'll probably go with uh, number one, euphoric. >> Big words. Number two, stressful because there is stress that's involved with it, you know. Number three is memorable, too. Like a lot of memories. >> Um, number one, I definitely go memorable, like you said, a lot of memories. Um,
number two, I'd go nostalgic. Um, just uh makes you think back to the younger days. And, uh, number three, h, radical. >> Radical. Um, I'd definitely say challenging. And then I really like that you guys said memorable because be a lot of memories made. Four years is a long time. >> Yeah. >> Um, I don't know what's a good last one. >> What are you thinking? >> H, it did go fast. >> Fast is a good fast. >> Fast. >> You don't really realize >> how fast it kind of goes until you're a your senior year. >> Yeah. You always hear everybody. Feels like a blink and it's all >> feels like freshman year was yesterday. >> You always hear everybody saying don't >> you think back, oh yeah, that was last year. Wait, no,
that was two. No, wait. Three years ago. >> Yeah, it throws you off. All right, for our second question, guys, what's one thing you've done during your time at the school you're most proud of? >> Can we start with Dalton this time? >> Yeah, we'll start with Dalton. Um, uh, well, I think my football has been pretty successful. I'm getting some all state stuff. So, going to college for that. So, yeah. >> Um, mine's kind of on the same degree here. I'd say soccer. Um, I wasn't like Dalton and played varsity all four years. Um, but, uh, I definitely, um, have seen my improvement and I'm looking to go to college for it and I'm excited about the, uh, I guess second I guess the next step. um in the soccer career and I'm proud
of that. >> I mean, I guess I'd have to go with academics and football because they've both earned me scholarships. So, yeah, being able to go to college for playing a sport that I love and then also being able to get money on top of that from academics has been quite the blessing. I mean, I guess I'll stay with the sports wave, but uh I'd probably say, yeah, just football. Like, my first two years I'm not very proud of, but I'm proud I flipped it around, I guess. I don't feel like I tried my hardest my first two years, but proud I made the change. >> Very good answers. Very good answers, guys. Uh, question number three. If you guys win, what's the first song you want to hear at the dance after you guys
win? >> Oh, I'm up. >> Yeah. >> Um, I'll go with the song Jared plays a lot. Miami by Will Smith. >> That'd be a pretty great song. >> Great song. >> Oh, I'm have to go with Sexy Back by Justin Timberlake. >> Another good one. >> Another shout out to Jared here. I don't know if we've ever played at a dance, but I think a song by Empire of the Sun. You know, they they got some pretty good songs. So, something something around that. >> Not a big music guy, but uh probably something along what Finn Moore said there with the >> Empire of the Sun. >> Oh, yeah. >> I'd have to agree. Empire of the Sun would be good. Yeah, Empire of the Sun would be really good. Um, question number four.
What does it mean to you to be a homecoming candidate? Dalton, your first time. Um, I think it means that I've kind of well represented us. Um, not not hated by everybody. So, I guess that's a good thing. Made it through, not making a bunch of people mad. So, there you go. You're up, Penny. >> Look at me there. But, uh, um, probably the same thing Dalton said, uh, that I was kind of looked at and, um, I kind of represent. Um, you know, sometimes I can kind of be straggly, but I think I represent in a good way and in a healthy way. And um I'm proud of that. So um yeah, >> I'd have to just say being a good example and you know being a good person, not being mean all the
time and treating everybody like they're your friend. >> Yeah, I would just say it means you're likable, I guess. And everything else they said as well. >> Yeah, I would say it's like Yeah, those are good answers. Um, number five. Why do you think your classmates should vote you as homecoming king? Lane, you're first. >> These are tough questions. Um, I'll piggyback off my last one. I guess I feel like I'm likable. I feel like I'm nice to people. So, if I'm nice to you, I guess vote for me. Um, I just try my best to be a good example for younger underassmen and just be a likable person like Lane said. >> Um, uh, I think yeah, being pretty likable. Um, I think I think I'm pretty funny, pretty energetic, and uh, even if
I'm having a bad day and someone else is, I uh, I'm pretty outgoing and I pretty energetic and maybe can lift some spirits. Um yeah. >> Um kind of like Jared said, more of a leadership role to our younger guys and everybody else in the school a little bit. Uh kind of a leadership role in my sports being captains and all those. So yeah, that's about it. >> Very good answers, guys. Um that pretty much wraps it up. Thank you guys for coming on the podcast. tried making the questions not too hard, but >> All right. >> Yeah, right. We tried it. >> Yeah, right, buddy. >> All right. Uh, I guess that concludes this podcast. Thank you guys for tuning in. God bless and go Indians. Thank you, Pete. Awesome.
