You just can't see The record show that former board members is presented in accordance with the Texas government. This meeting will be recorded. This rank top. Father, thank you for bringing us together again. Make sure I turn on my mic. So just make sure Okay. So, we're going to go and get started. share from there was a question. So we'll get started. The first slide talks about first 25 school year for all grade level subjects. So we'll go through all four subjects, math, social studies, and You will find the orange bar represents 2024 and the green bars. The last two bars, the teal and the blue are the region region two and so that's just for us to see and for 202 So to see how compares and this is important because this is where
we get our accountability for both the secondary campus and the elementary campus. So we'll see there's approaches there's kind of up and down and also up and down these are spoke about last year you'll see the same as we go through math, science and social studies that there now is a celebration for me in math where you'll see that we did make an increase from 2023 to 2024 and in 2025 we have more students that are being in this third grade all the way to number one So all together we are still performing local according to last year's data. You can see that from 67. So there was an increase in science and when you look at that first science is only three sets of students fifth grade and those are usually our nth grade
students unless they're circumstances. So this is only three levels of students as opposed to math being performance and there's not a growth metric for social studies. So for science and social increases for science children we accept students. in eighth grade for social studies and then history which is around 11th grade. What does that mean? That means that they are learning so that you see an increase from 24 to 25. So we really want all of our students to perform well the first time that they were assessed in these areas. So as program each of these programs that are highlighted we had number of students from 24 to 25 school year. I just want to attribute to In previous years, our students that were coded as dyslexia were not served under special education. But the recent
legislation has changed and now any student that has but services we're now ser this is specifically talking about nutrition and domain is where you get points and so you'll see from 2022 to 202 are district from 74 to 50 children. What does that mean? That means in 2022 74% of our students were showing growth in some way. How did they show growth? That could mean that maybe one year and maybe 2021 they did not pass and 2022 they did approach three approach to master and2% that they show some type of students and that has to ask the 2025 progress 52 compared to 6342 best um So there are seven. So only four groups. So first of all students we're only talking about fourth grade English and that English could be 10th graders but could also
be a different level student that I just looked at 25% from 20 to 25 in let's just use an example of a fifth grader that shows results from third to fourth grade but then they went from fourth to fifth grade there were certain percent of students that didn't have breakfast or didn't show or we 42. The most significant decline were in sixth grade with a drop of over 30% points. um English and English from 2024 to 2025 and we did have one grade level that went out that was 8th grade that I'll also have um So last year I believe you all contacted region one and region one did an analysis of the district the campuses or specifically the elementary campus and they came up with some key areas they felt like there were some
need for improvement. So I basically used that report and shared some of the key um as the root causes as I was not here during that time. But some of the science we are still working on improving those. So if you go to the back of your question number four, you'll see that when they did their landscape analysis, they find they found some root cause and why this decline is happening over time and the clearly defining consistently communicating campus and structural vision. response. Inconsistent systems for staff, there were a lack of protocols for data analysis and instructional response. meaning that when we see students in the in the past when we saw that students weren't performing there really wasn't a response to address those gaps there wasn't a coaching cycle implemented to again correct some
of these things address our data is going how do we address that so those are some of the things that were happening that contributed to the significant that you questions. Are we addressing them now? Are you addressing that? Okay. So, you'll see some similar information where this is not new information that served on board for more than a year. You've seen the conversation come up and so yes we are tackling some of the things that have been occurring systemically over that 74 to 49 to a 53 to a 49. So again, this is not the first time that this hopefully not the first time this conversation has happened. So attend this is very key to our high school as um our secondary campus and our second campus has done a phenomenal job keeping their graduation
rate high. That's a a significant contributor to our overall accountability. Overall, our district is a C in account. The high school is a B and the elementary school is F. So again, some of the metrics that the high school is holding strong is contributes significantly to our um you can see our attendance rates have We'll talk a little bit more about that in our next actual meeting, but we will see that last year we finished at 91% and we're working every day. We have a team of educators that are working every day to make some improvements. There are some things that are significant to our area, our region and our hope overall. I want to still learn from next conversation. But our hope overall is that we are proactive that we can get ahead of
some of the times and seasons that we see the attendance instead of being reactive. Let's look at this totality and address it before. Um we can celebrate that our drop dropout rate decreased and we are lower than our region and our state ensure their students are graduating very high and 24s can look um because this is the information right. So if you go and look at the current numbers, those percentages do fluctuate based on exactly how you're making credits for students after period of time. Sometimes those numbers, but you can see well consistently outperform the art program, the rural school. Our students have so many opportunities that they otherwise would have without career credit even if a student is ready for being career and military. So there is an opportunity for us to make sure
and I'll talk about that. So this down as well as the percent you'll see 238% we're still almost double the region in the state just because students TSI subjects is very challenging for school districts but we're doing a considerable drop and you can how we make increases over the years in that area. We start as early as before and for TSI and we create those opportunities year after year for college and of course the other community in the area as well. And so really and her team because they are very intentional about making sure. All right. Military show as a district. We are a little bit harder and so are some programs there and making sure that we get those percentages up. But but not that we're losing points or anything like that because those
same students that may not beer, we're still not ready. So this is really just military. We do have some changes to the approved industry based certification. So I'm very curious to see what those numbers will look like next year to a little bit. So I'm very curious to see how we are able to students are ready. So s ACT at criteria these areas where a totally career readiness or military readiness or not these are the indicators that programs are going to be determinate from high school with a social animals. That was a great question. to determine exactly what is so. Yeah. Well, there are different indicators ready because the AC all all four areas, math, science, and history and an ACT and SAT and TSI is just English and math. So there is some difference
and yes there are some students that are high across the board and then there are some students that find they test better at ACT type situation because one counts against you and one doesn't we have recently transitioned also from ACT SAT to online which is that ACT was this year SAT was last year and that's something that students really see if that makes a difference and every student takes ACT every test and perform. So we use testing now we did not 2122 and 22 23 we didn't start testing actually let me go register and I'm going to have to go somewhere else and take my SAT or ACT on So it was only select students that knew they wanted to go to a higher level higher level university and also after colleges stopped taking they
didn't require that students take those after during year and three years after. So it wasn't even a college. You didn't need an ACT score or SAT score to get into college. So that's why a big difference in those scores. Some years we had two students and senior junior test ACT and they want to retake their senior year, they can. 2424. So it's a year. So we don't have the numbers for 242 it show more students that are successful. Another point that I learned that TSI is Texas specific. So if a student wants to go out of Texas, then that's where your ACT and your SAT are going to be really. However, a lot of our students we do have students that are staying in Texas. So that's why TSI is so important. And every student
has been taking on this campus for more than just last year. There are some students that seek a SAT but does not requ Another thing we have to report in this particular statute requires that every district report incident at our campus our district. So the next slide you see um last year which is the 24 25 year we had 18 student local studentations and you can see where some of those came in but there weren't any of those punishable for last year. So another thing we want to make sure that we have on our website that students families and staff members have access to report something that they feel like they can always go to their teachers and as well. Another protocol and our campuses are very good if they recognize or not there's any
type of potential. Each campus has a designated assessment team. They bring together immediately and there's state level questions like the assessment that is created individual state program to determine the level of assessment that does All right. So this next show from 2023. So again this is a year but how they how they performed in their college that went to a four public university that went to one that went through high school and then that didn't across the room where it says public our students to basically tell them their GPA in their first year. So many of our students had a 2.0 list. Of the 10 that went, seven of them were not first year. So again, that is very important information about our students. heard me say before and that's what you'll see 2.5. So,
but We have this information. We can be more transp But in 2026, you won't see it show up for two years because we still which unfortunately we have the teacher going and I'll be honest with you. So although we want to make sure our focus is what they need. Now I will say just this year the state has released additional funding for students who are enrolling and continental prepar students. But I will say that we have to prepare students for college. So I'll just be honest as a result of that student with your passengers. Okay. This is also something that comes out 24. So we're still until this time next year. All right. superior financial separation. I'm not going to go through all of those numbers. But this is the financial But to ensure the
district covers and she works very So that's required for every district to create a district improvement plan. She got her sight decision making together. also got decision making for sure inclusive performance objectives they have goals they have objectives and strategies that goes in action show with her team. Dr. is facilitating adapting with her instructional coaches. How do we make sure our kids are in position to show and then you'll see our teachers to analyze their datific. So earlier we recognize that students are failing my expectation for our team. What is the actual plan? whenever we start closing these gaps and how are we going to reassess to make sure that these gaps are closed now we don't have% are very I mean they're receptive to these expectations and they are holding their teams accountable for
having these conversations This is very important that we are the district. um consideration history. There have been some we testament to the work that's happening people. questions. Good. Yes.
