constraint we have yes we're doing go to our tax base so we can put in a select yes and so the current board actually the five represents all of the areas in which the appraisal district serves and so he owns the one in our area so by allocating all of our boats to her we ensure that we have a representative of our area yes so we're all with what we could probably allocate our votes to get to approved nomination fear weapons and an attachment it's been moved by mr. Atkins are the public comments record time all right hearing them then it has been theirs by mr. Atkins - except no Robinson has power nomination attachments have been moved and seconded all those in favor signify by saying aye opposed by name axud on the X

out of Eden citizen monotype committee related action items alright the following event accordance with section CH legal and in the line of the district goal that VI FC will exercise fiscal responsibility to ensure financial strength and provide the resources to equip maintain quality facility and educational programs on June 2012 the citizens on Oversight Committee was established by the Board of Trustees to provide oversight for the 2012 phone program c-walk shall be comprised of 15 members approved by the board of Trinity and they meet on a quarterly basis On June 19 CBOC met and tonight I have two action items that require board approval the 2012 on allocated just over 40 million dollars for technology and maintenance improvement and is presented to Steve up on June nineteen thirty nine point three million dollars worth of purchase

orders have been issued the original scope and ten to the 2012 on as approved by voters has been completed so as approved by Steve off and the Board of Trustees cosd is utilizing the remaining funds and alignment with the original intent of the bond to continue lifecycle replacement every allocation of 19950 dollars from contingencies is recommended to complete storefront or replacement at reza's for high school after the reallocation the remaining contingency balance will be roughly forty three million dollars the second action item is done we have received a new member nomination for Kyle Wilson is a VI FC graduate and a degree construction manager and is also the son of Kirk Wilson who is actively involved in be ISD by serving on C bulk and treasurer of the current education or the current treasurer for

the Education Foundation so it is recommended that the Board of Trustees approved a 2012 reallocation and the new member nomination is presented and approved by the citizens Oversight Committee comments this were blue Global Fund's do you have a second say just sister done second all those in favor signify by saying aye opposed by name Kelly our third item on our X not sexy mr. acting yeah I'll check make sure highlight connected this is the curriculum water that will happen taps event is you know basically it's to see where we are and I think things there I think I think thank thank I would think that that for the potential future or change because I know it's a lot I'll pay fortune and may not get it so I realized that so I've been pushing for

there so just glad that we're ready to move forward and take a look at it when we get adopted legend without it with I was assured that it's in continuing I miss Nicole understand will be the DA done we have any thoughts or any ideas of where we may stand on the five standards do we think we're fair medium good we believe we're a lot better shape than we were eight years ago when it was when I heared anymore not we also as you know it isn't that Sadat they're not going to how that's a good things like they're going to point out things that and then I call it a curriculum on it we chose to call the district on it because as you know it thought it's much more than just the creep

of these visit on it's also a two-hour administrative services or policy Student Services financial business service that's literally at the district I you know I guess the way everybody in autism services that are related so I know it's I know the curriculum on had a bad name when the first pass needed you because we need it so I'm looking forward to seeing where we are so I think it's good deal so with that I will come in seconded by Joe all those in favor signify by alright both mimic item that we have on our agenda are our reports we have report a the bond planning and precedence to Nepal system Academy constriction update miss Rebecca Kelly good evening again the past three months has been extremely busy for the construction and planning department excuse me

the planning construction department and we are excited to be able to share the progress that presents with high school and stephen f austin stem academy replacement project which are approved by voters in May of 2019 if you remember as a reminder as a june board meeting I presented an update on the 2019 bond project these were the two images from residence even of Austin and June July August were very busy and so we're excited to be able to share some of the progress that we've made the V was filled houses weeks away from going out to in the construction documents are being finalized in our construction manager Stuart will take it out to bid a guaranteed maximum price will be ready for more approval in October we will need to have a special meeting in

October so on October 28th we will award the contract so that construction can immediately could get the schematic design for the main campus building her complete and we have spent eight days with presence with teachers and staff on design development the site plan is still a work in progress as we're waiting on the traffic study and the drainage requirement the floor plan is still being reviewed for mechanical engineering some plumbing needs and overall efficiencies we are also actively working with sewer builders on a construction phasing plan and this will be a multi-phase complex project and then at the June board meeting I shows a video of the present was launched and so we have since completed with stephen f austin launch and in your lives i'd like to take a minute and share that video

[Music] [Applause] [Music] it was a great day so we have completed the launch we've also completed the schematic design last week September 5th is completed and we'll begin design development with it that they teachers and staff in October so at this time I'd like to turn it over to Monica's Basilio with the ok architects she's going to provide you some in-depth information on these sites good evening I'm sure you know who I am Monica Castillo at VLK architects I want to take a moment to introduce Todd anchor his designer for the high school as we were going to share with you where we are now as Rebecca said we've been working really hard it's been a lot mesthri but uh pretty much FASS okay so so here we are apparently this is 60 drivers brackets

with drive down here the major components are the fieldhouse right here which as Rebecca mentioned we will be going out to bid within the next two to three weeks on that we're finalizing our construction doctor we have senior high right here that is being constructed between a athletic wing and the existing senior high campus down south that you kind of see that in red really lightly their CTE is plans currently for this corner of the site and that will be a standalone building component I think with the exception of one which we decided to keep in the main campus currently we're starting aging on the traffic really helped us find which drives needs to be separated we have yeah the traffic study will tell us exactly which way parents we want to come students keep

everything separated as we've been going through the design of the Fieldhouse we are adding some additional parking here closest to the Fieldhouse mostly for athletic students that they be closer to the field houses quite a distance from the heights that will also be additional staff arkaid right side field house across the strange you'll see here with a building that's number three that is going to be the your existing CTE facility that will be converted to district technology and in addition to that there will be some athletic improvements including some additional walkers over a baseball field a new scoreboard at both fields and some other minor renovations too sadly says it's the floorplan of the field house and so one of the things that everybody kept talking about that was the major concern is making sure

that we had boys and girls separations in the field house and so this is where we have provided a entrance on the cool side for the boys and then once the girls and the way the floor plan is set up is purple that you can see that is what we would call the girls wing and that's where all the girls locker rooms are the blue section is where the boys locker rooms are and they open up into this hallway with the football locker room adjacent to them in that darker blue the main entrance to the building is down here on the south side with an administrative area here we have a trophy room here and that would be a room that has display cases and you can be displaying some of your trophies and awards

and so forth you top the main hallway here that connects all these corridors from the weight room and a weight room right here that's kind of pleasure - on the actual field the football field up to the door here we have a match room for wrestling and then the trainer suite down in this area that is you know open to the field as well as have access here in case every anyone were ever to get hurt as easy access street on the second floor we have a meeting room with some of the coach's office up on the second floor and the athletic directors all offices also there's an outdoor observation deck that looks onto the field here are some exterior images of what the field house will look like the mirror still try to finalize

some of the details of the wards that way to go out this is the South elevation so as you're coming in as a parent the South main entrance of the building and this is a girl's entrance into the girls locker room area this is the observation deck on this and you can see the column and the area over the Beck's central spine hallway is double pipe space and then the second floor right there this is the front view of the face facing the playfield and currently you can see just afterwards at out here so it's a covered jet this down here is the weight room that looks conscious playing field currently we're still trying to design a screen that would come and grade that those windows right here menu manager every high school we worked

hard on this so we've tried to really stay true to what we heard in the launch and so it's come out of that right now is we have a main entrance along this curved way and so as you enter there is an LTI the large group instruction here that can be used for students it can be used for parents or visitors just large groups that area then along this isuh so actually there's two components with CTE one is the art AV which is right here in front and then there are other everything in blue is kind of your academics classroom and you have some fine art sprinkled up here in the front which are the art classroom and then here in the end or the Aquatic Patris the concept is that it has an open

kitchen dining area or a dining area with adjacent kitchen behind it so it kind of opens up in the snow doors close doors open that people can kind of be walking freely through currently there's a social chair right here and so one of the things that we heard was that a lot of the students like to spend their time in the library during lunch so right above this area here will be just part of them we need a center the library as you come in there is a security vegetable right here with all of your main head in this orange area again back here there's some more classrooms for classrooms and then we have special ed classroom or the CTE educational classroom are in this plane which would be very close to special ed so

those are just a Jason sees that as we work the groups they thought that would be really important then on this area all in purple is your by dark area you've got cheer and dance black dog walk through your vans halls down right here choir orchestra in your new drink so there will also be a theater entrance that is along this front entry of the auditorium one thing I did not note even though we're waiting on the traffic study our plan right now is that the bus loading the bus lane would be coming over here and have a loop here that they can drop off students here so senior high to be dropped off here and my screens of your things in the CNMI area obviously you would be in here and if you're going

to ninth grade to cut through is building back to here on the CTE there is some service so this is the second floor and so as I mentioned the media centers here at the end and it will be the circular part would be a two-story area we've got a makerspace and a multi-purpose room and again as I mentioned their system their social scare that leads down into the first floor in the dining area so the kids don't want to stay in the dining area that can come sit here on the stair have lunch there or they can have easy access to the libraries they want to spend their lunch period library so near on the second floor is you see a clue all these areas are classrooms academic classrooms there's admin spaces that are kind

of sprinkled through each floor we've got design suites for the actual teachers as well as counselors and so forth that would be on and this is the third floor and again this is open to below for the media center more classroom again your ApS meet here and a teacher design lab here this is a CTE building and the main entrance down from the South here and then you have an admin secure vestibule again with an admin base here and you have your culinary your AG shop your architectural construction shop your manufacturing shop and your stem lab sim laughs the way they have been designed as they would be they would have operable partitions for some of the classrooms so you can open them up and have larger areas if they ever had a workshop or

a competition that they would have other more than one class in there at a time your vet tech is here at the front we're designing it so that someone wants to come in drop off their pets there would still be a secure entry the blue areas care classrooms so you have your labs and then the Jason's you will have pots inside you'll have floral classroom and these here of the classroom design so there is an open lobby if you will or area that you wanted to have you know events there would open up into this culinary area like bistro that would open up and so you have social events on the second floor we have the icy classroom here health sciences area near we've got two labs and the other classrooms that are at send

we have business labs in here as well as and so as we're still designing and we have now started developing in great detail the exterior of the buildings this is kind of what we have been charged with as far as the launch that was the image our character sketch that one so as we move forward this is kind of our goal to get the building so this is stephen f austin entities support that came out of launch of results this is the launch for kind of our parties you will kind of relationship diagrams right here and this is the floor plan that was presented on that second day of launch so as we move forward through this our new construction plan and so we would have one foot slip over to the west on this

side the parent drive and drop off here right in front this can be the walking trail and during our last testing meeting they really requested that the walking trail stay amongst the trees so that's that's been our goal right here back here will be detention and then playground so this is going to be a two-story campus even though it is smaller has limitations of the site in a two-story method worked with the teachers staff over at SFA we learned that their fifth and sixth graders are are special in the school and we wanted to give them a special space into that's on the second floor there called I think it's called the swamp that's currently their their special place so the way this plan is laid out is the main interest stuff running and with

an administrative area here secure vestibule the classroom our offices inside where we have pre-k and kindergarten here at the Frog closest to the friend Nicole first and second along this horizontal wing right here and the third and fourth down south we've got a stream lab and wet lab down south with easy access to superior what was also very important to the community is they have a lot of community functions and kind of like the hub of the community so the way that has been designed is that we have large covered patio areas front of the cafeteria and this here in red is your cafeteria and operable partition between the cafeteria and the gymnasium and so the stage that opens up into the gymnasium will also have visual access to the exterior and then there will

be another covered area on the back of the stage the second floor is business sixth-graders as I mentioned they are will also have an outdoor Jets that kind of blew over the front of the school and one on the back side right now and the intent is also to provide a learning stare coming out of that set onto the first floor during our lunch the Friends of the school that made insurance as well as the covered area question horses five these so we're currently planning for 2,800 and that we're 23 on the field house I know we're early and a little later on the school but are we going to try to match materials as far as exterior yes we did have our first material readings and so what it looks at is really looking

at the ninth grade Center and what kind of bricks you have there and so what we're presenting we want to then consider it's a work for this do it no but you want to make sure that the dilation from the field house kind of has the smooth transition into the old brick so choosing colors and materials that will blend as you drive around the entire site or importance so I know materials won't look the same so the colors are important to make sure that it all blends cohesively right the nice Grade Center is not going anywhere and you will see a connection driving down breakfast with so we are being conscious of that and so we are also presenting a lot of other colors and bricks but everything needs to be hmm it's the nut

retainer stop driving two dollars but we want to make sure it as we we're trying to design a way today but we want to make sure that metal built in there to work does it looks mismatched not drama dervish neither comment you know fieldhouse I'm looking at the floor plan autumn for fish now I'm assuming that other sports is tracking for you is that correct I understand is Jack Saunders Sharkboy for the Boise undersell correct know they'll come on that please so this area right here this light blue section are the girls that we have softball got a girl's track and then normal voice I went stalkers both boys and girls soccer down the result country quite a sport that you yes how do you type of your certain defendants are favored in the other

okay my question the next question of Elvis's you're in sports only from the point where they're located is their interior access to there's where you have them in storage yes our story is a little top right yes we're from where they are on the resists of supporting software cetera and they've been storage or something that in here mr. Pennell no I'm talking about a barrel to the right of the varsity varsity field dressing room assist me at storage is that kind of the old right yes yeah there's a storage area for each of the sport do they happen to the heavy interior access there's in an outside accent you but its axis is not from their locker room but it's from that corridor which is an interior see look here's something else you want say

how many people is the player meeting room : it would hold two classroom yes 14 to both classrooms it's a bit we can divide it to 1560 people can go where you can adjust able to leave your arrangement so it will definitely configure to maximize the number players using it in there for their meetings or for any other purpose that we have in district to utilize 1400 square feet so they're pretty great space to have in the district my blog about furniture that's what's the Volta Maximizer right a classroom setting would be 25 but if you had rows of seats I'm surprised about the size that said that we've been trying to use up for pregame meals and sports banquets and for some of the smaller sports and some of those kind of things turned

up pregame meals definitely yes that kind of stood beings for different groups sport bike was cheap we have to wait see myself cute I think the sheriff's what's that silly to be another country normal yeah I think it just look a little small compared to place I didn't know how big you were going over that's two full classrooms exactly what it is so if you put rows of chairs you put other people into classroom 25 with the desk and you can put that more with just you have a greater tables you to put tables with it they might fit they'll see it from experience standpoint in the showers under amp up what is the decided on account of shower head but how big serious this is this is crucial in the dressing room when you

have seven kids going into the Sharks same time we know how many sharp forcibly the shell that's one in four to five of their gang show we have a significant amount of discussion on the restaurant and shower whether they be game wrestlers or if they're individual stalls and so these guys as well as some of the additional head coaches were involved in determining what types of showers and the placement of them so we'll get you the count I've been in enough to shower snow individuals are going to work the gang back on thank you slide in it's it's not my first rodeo shower when you're providing some individual showers I think that was a consistent for some of the freshmen to say to the afresh the females shower to the individual showers but another what

you see in the they also um football with gangs I think those men just scores that much we realize we got to get back to class convenience and also based on any different sports or down there at the same time basically the gang charter for football poll over football the other sports which is attract soccer those three bills are including this is a wider more durable path or division it's definitely watching it is not sick stuff that one yes I know you catch a weakness don't cheat us on storage you don't choose the hallway so fat doesn't know about the main field yes they had yes say that was the first instruction storage and hallways so revolt gonna get your Billy get there that's Google bill - yes important we will have a blog and

it will be close to the existing one year such it will be redone as a concrete a halfway here who have to be covered Texaco yeah currently it's not number it will be we talked about weather problems you get on here let me gather a little right yes yes yeah it will be covered so as we construct the field house that area between the build-outs and the senior high will be the laydown yard for the actual construction to happen of the senior on campus and so that pathway will not be opened up until after the senior high school is open so we will cover that walkway and part of the completion of the senior on campus I'm just gonna make another comment on this issue exterior issue there's a look I would much rather paint

that very campus or do something to the extra bit then you can try to match blend smooth transition into our brand-new pre new campus so what that cost or what that's involved but don't limit yourself as architects or as designed campus standpoint on a 20 year old building with right so we'll provide you don't limit us to a brown building a brown building now on the campus it's not gonna be seen by anybody it's going to be covered about three storey building in front of it we try to tie some clothing blue rock bricks where we would work but the community efforts often put new bricks out I've in favor of that just don't limit us to that color and then horrible colors multiple textures it is important to make it cohesive though very little

importance to that you'll find a brand new campus for 50 years we'd only be livid about something the choice that was made 20 years ago on campus the Fieldhouse the exterior as you can see there are some of the color selections that have been made I know that's what I was afraid of that's why I was asking the questions I think we're just trying to match the brown brick on the 20 year old campus say goodbye frankly it's not very clean right now and so this is a one time to get this thing right and I don't want to be limited by decisions made 20 years ago whether it was done properly or not done properly at the time I think we have one chance to make this most unbelievable campus let's don't limit ourselves

don't put ourselves in a hole because some decision that was made 20 years ago there we decided Brown wasn't there's all the ways to freshen up an old campus then deliver results on the presentation stuff there's no brown break okay if that's a local code cherry cranberry flat cranberry light and a dark spot so I think the contract did the show there like it really is I've seen what they've done on their other buildings and it's been very impressive eye level or campus that we're doing right and I think we've got a lot of great different textures and colors and things that we've done and all these other campuses I don't want us limited on our new state of the art campus to something that was done 20 years ago - campus that's not even

have you seen by anyone ever because the backside is covered by awnings that you don't see and then the front side is covered by gins and now the night great campus so don't limit yourself and now it's going to be a showcase right has to be the first thing everybody sees that next to the school first again see this first I need to mommy to cover up for Rusty Kratz ya know got these three elevators over here along the way we started off with a doctor color based on somebody else feedback from other campuses like industrialize you know so we started with the darker color now it's good enough right but because on the park any other comments that we look at the academics of the third fourth it's hard to be a versailles labs

[Music] this second tour there's a classroom there so currently we are exploring moving with the science classroom I'll shade areas I really like connecting or opening up just what is the classroom like this classroom and lab combo okay and the first floor is instantly scheduled forward all right well currently they're weird what we're showing is math classroom first and the second floors is a language art classroom so they have direct access to that in the CTE those has an expandable areas or labs and stuff like that yes yes that's currently right here please rocketry and robotics on the side and so that these doors right here would be like operable with glass partitions that would open up into this whole lobby demonstration area and I believe that there's access between these two classrooms right here

and then there's a second level oi - okay so in comments where be proceeding yes right now we're continuing to review that for anything and other efficiency where we are today and now we have covered walkway to that as well what is the target repeat your question all right drew we will not tear down the existing field health until the new belt filled help is open good jokes get you guys ready to live washing machines and drive the stuff we do that once one year they don't remember anything so we put lockers washing we drive through that's what they're in their back brand-new they're not moving so your White Rock Monster auctions well I will say to my fingers press over the pump from the health science room that we have a lot more room

than we do now the only other thing I'm going to say is with these guys in a mind it always is written about it hopefully we can work ahead and get it done her office is gonna put them in a real bind try to print things going on in more comments from the board yes sir construction you said there's a gusto area but just not like a normal B stroke no it's part of patra okay how big slender the entire like the artwork the art Explorium I believe that'll all be a separate entrance over there for them lobby area so here's a lobby area where the auditorium because just one big level or is that gonna be too left over well they'll be what I consider a level and rather the control booth will be

kind of on a separate level but the auditory important them will be very similar to bread this port layout and so right now you can see there's parking in this area Jason auditorium for the entry with us from the board yes sir we solved mr. Montoya's question is that going from traffic traffic traffic yeah that's that's really good they're currently caught crossing the traffic to get to practice of such laying in the loader buses and so excellent job of deciding the traffic there's really not access here except for loading or in our area we are relocating the our Vance marching marching past this area right here so when they come out they're coming straight out these doors sidewalks will there because we have a parking space every what we get now so currently on this

planet lasers right under night to your target places but there will be ultimately I believe we're still waiting on the traffic study to get all those drives in and then figure out exactly where all the particles this is the I guess do you Rebecca since we're the Simmons it appears we'll even get us where it is we're going to building render facilities acceptor they're able to have access for them to park there we haven't started that design of that facility yet but it will absolutely includes a better facility for the tennis players include lockers specially intact is the account or outdoor eating Pacific numbers but outdoor eating area is a part of these is that counted in the seating capacity or is that just extra feel good cheating well I believe we would use the

number a little bit and yes it is a would be part of me so therefore will be covered yes this area right here is the after receiving area that could be used and the indicated had two learning stairs of both this design statement also partly correct well in this design right here is adjacent to the dining area so that was really in response to so many kids going to the library so what we've been calling it for the title is really see it as that's where kids are going to be congregating in eating and david estimate of your architectural expertise etcetera where cadets resent that currently games no love I know I was in Frisco and there was one kid on yeah I was I didn't know if it if it passed its prime or

if it's uh I think every district in every high school or school medicine is different and it really goes to the culture more because they're so cool that we put amendment this will help being here the cafeteria - right yeah - should should open any help that and no stairs I think I could climb up a tree element how much how much room do we have there to build with ethylene there from the existing school we tear down part of that to start building Mitch so yes initially when we were doing the bond planning we were trying to keep the tax area open and functional the way the design has been progressing we will need to tear down the cafeteria but not the current add on F wing which is rather it isn't back there

where heavy air email will be disrupted at the cafeteria and we're currently working on adjacent and with Stuart and we'll be providing that cool hiding and we're stephen f austin there's no touching step to carry right I mean you're not there is one but it's not we're not doing anything with existing so currently all this area will be the subject of Samaria the existing systems cannot support and useful but where the mostly replacing is expanding currently there is a water well here area word still out whether we're going to need secondary well for to school fire sprinklers so we're working with that but there will be storage tanks for the water and so that's what you see here this little black box and where we plan on putting this George hay and we will be

concealing them or not or detract so how much bigger is the steam in Boston square feet can be real or is it it is larger I believe 78,000 square feet currently here at this Beach maybe so it is increasing a little bit as a capacity of 450 - just random question of Tsubasa is the cafeteria covered parking are covered public area is that going to be like the doors open indoor/outdoor kind of situation ours are just going to be an exterior interior over there I believe up in the front where we are considering doing some light March and then on the back side area which is our secondary outside stage as well yes so here on the south side there would be kind of like a platform and concrete we cover grass I saw it

it Cisco got it covered burning up toward the air-conditioner [Music] exciting exciting stuff any other questions president heart I would like to especially thank Rita Pippa volley she's been highly involved in all these meeting Claire fact sheets in the last four weeks she spent a full days over here going through every bit of peace of the days and April day the all-campus Network and those phone calls and emails and all the issues that are out there still waiting on her the other comment from the public so do you like what you see yeah okay you want to tell the engine for the input from the teachers has been invaluable so I appreciate you taking the time to do that biology compete with us yes in Scott the the upstairs you're talking about is just like

that year for now same things I think basically used a lot it's great to get you know if you need great space okay next item under reports are for flavor boards I hope it's committee or not I've never been before the ones I've had I'm still at the time with the Leos that last over here we go to the pearl boat it's amazing to me what young people will do when you're given direction instructor officer Brown and then tomorrow started this I hope that we can continue to spread this of all our campuses have some students that can really really benefit from the structure the program with just learning how to be citizens and again I think it's good it's also an SFA and extorting out there you know anything you started it's gotten tough

get off the ground they're gonna be on it and I think and I know that the Velasco and Evanier meiosis has jumped out and now the woodwork and and officer Brown I witnessed when he told them that I'm giving y'all four weeks to goof off and now I've got two notebooks little stuff that you've done and so now we're gonna take care of it Mindy he took care of itself I think everyone know Bridget and I know the market both butter or probably impressed with it and what's going on there now and help no Bobby good off the ground excuse me wants to really get it off the ground in SF Bay it's also off the ground a clue in where rats fresco yes if Franklin later officer now I think she told me she

was trying to do for brains and so I stole beer I think that's what she told me it's going to be quite a challenge to do that but anything we can do to support those guys I'm strohman each other this endoscope and think that also attended the ambassador's training last week great training for the folks that came into it the great response from the teachers at WIPP to be part of that basket rolling and we're quite fortunate there in a report where my cakes are sending in booze with that's all I have dr. Hart all right any other reports from for comment all right then our next item on our agenda is our next work session discussion our next regular scheduled board meeting is October the twenty five twenty first we're going to journey to
