[clears throat] We're going to move uh to number seven progress monitoring uh report December monthly report on the I SIP I stage an indicator on progress reading and math. >> Uh Mr. Mona will come up to the podium and present our December monitoring. These are not progress measures. These are this is just this the reading and

math progress monitoring >> and this can all be found on page 13 of your fourth book. Uh well we got it was page 13 >> 13 if it's 13 on your but it's the one that looks like this. >> Um so as you can see of course as you guys are aware we do test ISIP every single month. Um, so we're going to just look, um, this table does have the entire year, but we're just going to look specifically at December, um, because we've been, we've been pretty regularly, um, updating. So, you can kind of see. So, we can look at December in [snorts] prek, um, we're at a beginning greeter of 370. So, compared uh, from September, we we had a gain of 20 uh 25, sorry, of 25. So, we're compared to November,

it was 20, but from September, it was 25. Um, in kindergarten, beginning reader 55, uh, compared to the 115 in November, the beginning reader, we had a increase of 60 Lexiles. Uh, just a reminder. Um, in pre-tain Kinder, if you're a beginning greeter, think of those kind of like negative numbers. So, the closer we get to zero, the better. [snorts] Um, so we're trying to get to zero here. And then once we cross zero, then we get into Lexiles, uh, regular Lexiles. So, in first grade, um, we're starting at a one or in December, we were at a 155 Lexiles. Um, last month we were at a 105, which gave us an increase of 50 Lexiles. In second grade, we had, uh, 375 Lexiles, um, which is an increase of 10 from last month for

second grade. For third grade, uh, we at 500 Lexiles currently, um, which is an increase of 30, uh, at third grade. In fourth grade, we're at 610, which is the 30th uh which is a decrease of 30 lexiles from last month in fourth grade. Fifth grade, 15 lex uh a decrease of 15 lexiles from 695. In sixth grade, 670 is December and it's a decrease of 10 from last month in November for sixth grade. seventh grade um we're had a decrease of 85 from 7 uh from 7 uh from 8:25 to 740 and then in eighth grade we saw we were at 880 with a decrease of 25 from 9:05 um the re uh we do see a decrease and I know that's one of kind of alarming but we also have to remember that

the ISIP is also adaptive so at this point of the year it's also adapting it getting them ready for you know the next the next coming units as well so it's also you know it's preparing them it's getting ready it's we're expecting to for for the test to get harder throughout as the years progress. And that's what we're seeing um especially at the fourth fourth through eighth grade level. You can see that um the yellow is we have some yellow groups highlighted. That's just information for y'all. That is our what we're tracking our co group. So those were at the beginning. So in first grade we crossed over the the point of origin the zero and now they are actually in 10 quantiles which is an increase of 25 quantiles in first grade. In second

grade, um we're at 200 quantiles, which is an increase of 15 quantiles. In fifth grade, 690 quantiles um in December, which is a decrease, a slight little decrease of five quantiles on average. Uh for fourth grade, but fifth grade, I'm sorry. 620 quantiles for sixth grade is where we uh is where we're at in December. It stayed stays the same as in November. In seventh grade, we have 760 quantiles. Um currently we had a decrease of 10. So very a very slight decrease in seventh grade. Um and then in eighth grade we had a average of 890 quantiles which is actually an increase of 25 quantiles. So as you can see in math typically we we do a little bit better in math. Um but that's just kind of historically what we've seen here in

Chris City. Our math does outperform our reading. Um but like I said overall we're increasing in the majority of our in our majority of our grade levels. We're seeing a lot of improvement. We're seeing a lot of uh interaction and engagement in the students at at the campuses. So, we know as we move closer to the star season, especially moving into the next semester where star season starts to pick up, you know, that urgency around the star test starts, well, you know, we'll see some increases as well. [snorts] >> Are there any questions? >> Thank you, Matthew. >> Thank you. At this time, uh, we're going to be moving into close session. Uh, the board of trustees will meet in close session. It's authorized for the Texas government code chapter 551 committees. >> The time

is 620. >> 620. >> Recording stopped.
