All right, talk about that guys. All right, we're back in action. Same meeting, back in open meeting. It's 9 19. At this time, we're going to see one the 2026-2027 TA alignment and TEKS certification renewal form. >> Yes, Mr. President, members of the board. Here is the same thing. All we're adding is just Blue Bonnet for the elementary level. >> All right. Any questions? All right. >> Motion to approve C1 allotment and TEKS certification renewal form. >> Motion by Ms. Flores. Seconded by Ms. Acosta. All in favor say aye. >> Aye. All against say nay. Motion passes. We go to C2 2026-2027 memorandum for the JJAEP. >> Yes, Mr. President, members of the board. This is a renewal for the MOU for the JJAEP. This year we did not have any students, but we do
need the renewal just in case if we need it. We use JJAEP for those situations that are not handled by DAEP, like cases where students get in trouble outside the school context, and we would have to send them to juvenile for specific reasons. Again, this year we did not have anyone, but this is just a renewal. >> Motion to approve C2. >> Motion by Ms. Flores. >> Seconded by Ms. Almendarez. All in favor say aye. Aye. All against say nay. Motion passes. At this time, we go to D1 for Lona's Law Firm. Presentation by Ms. Yolanda Lona. >> Good evening, everyone. >> Good evening. >> My name is Yolanda Lona. I am one of the attorneys that is representing uh ISD in the handling the claim you guys have for property damage to the building
sustained with the date of loss of May 2024. And I just wanted to first introduce myself. I will be the one that comes to board meetings to provide status updates as the claim moves forward. And I kind of wanted to give a brief status update as far as where we're at right now, and just also answer any questions you guys may have. Um so right now we are currently working and moving things along with the AG's office. As you guys may know, we have to have our contract approved signed and approved by the Attorney General. That's been submitted. It usually takes sometimes 60 days, sometimes 90. Really depends how backed up they are over there, but we are following up with them quite often, and it seems like it should be approved relatively soon. Um
as far as the claim for the damages sustained, um we are working I don't know if you guys are familiar with the process at all of filing a claim for property damage. Um we are working with Max Claims. Um they were basically in charge of capturing all the damage to sustained um in every building. Um so what we do is we work with the estimate and the all the photographs and everything that they captured, um and use that to substantiate our claims when we make the claim with the with your insurance. Um right now it seems the estimate we're at about 39 million for damages. Um that's just an estimate. Um basically again, what we do is we use that estimate to capture all of the damages in every building, and then we go from
there. Um I don't know if you guys have any questions for me or would like any more details as far as what this process will look like. >> So what's the once AG approves it, what's the next step? >> Once the AG approves it, we officially send our letter of representation and our what's called a notice letter, where we notify the insurance carrier, "Hey, the these property building These buildings sustained this damage. Um we represent them, and we need to move forward." After that, they have 60 days to respond. They can request a um an inspection. Most of the times they will, especially in ISD cases. Um sometimes they send engineers, we'll send an engineer as well, or we'll come with them, do the inspections with them. Um and we start working along with again
together with the estimate to see where we agree on what damages fall under your policy coverage, what damages are covered, what what's not. Um and then after that, if they decide It really depends on the insurance. If they decide to say, "We're We're denying your claim." Or we're Here's $1,000 and call it a day, then we have 60 days from the day that we send the notice to file a lawsuit. And typically that's the next step. We'll file a lawsuit, and then we engage in litigation. And that's when things start moving forward as far as negotiations, proving all the damages, and so on. >> Would would our staff or even our our law our our lawyer get involved in in any of that? >> No need. No need. Um if at any point we need
to discuss anything further, we can notify you with enough time, but typically no need. >> How long is the process? >> It really depends again on the insurance, on how fast they respond. If they decide to delay a little bit longer, and this is a ISD cases are a big case because there's so many buildings. So, um for example, the when the when they do inspections, it's not like the typical case where an inspection one-day inspection will do. They may cut it into several days, or just say like we need a quick look and then they'll make a decent offer. It really depends on how the insurance um decides to take this case. But we'll I'll have a better idea or update as far as timeline goes as soon as we start hearing from them
and as soon as the ball keeps rolling, I'll be able to update you with hey, it looks like this is a case that they're taking seriously right from the beginning. They're not giving us a hard time. We're going to move forward. >> Would this be like a monthly update? >> Oh, well, however you guys want. I know you guys have I was listening earlier. You guys have uh monthly board meetings. Um I'm happy I like I said, I would be the attorney who comes here and um gets you guys updates. So I am at your disposal. If you want what I have done in other cases is I give email updates every 30 days or every every anytime you guys need an update. I I'm happy to give a status update in writing. Um if
you want me to come every 60 days to a board meeting, I'm happy to do so. Like I said, I'm I'm at your disposal. >> I mean, I guess keep us updated. >> So the total damages were 39 million? >> Yeah, so right now the total damages captured in the estimate that Max Claims provided is at 39 million. Now, what I how I like to kind of explain it is we use Max Claims estimate as a way to capture everything that was damaged. So they did a really good job in capturing every single thing. And so what they do is okay, they let's just say like this building has X, Y, and Z for damages and then they put a market value to what it would cost to repair that. Typically, our job as attorneys
is we use that estimate to say these are the damages that are sustained and they fall under the coverage of the policy. Once we have that fight with the insurance as far as yes, they're covered. No, they're not. That's our first battle. Once we get that, the next hurdle is the monetary amount. We are going to use or we use we have Max Claims estimate. They put a market value. Obviously, we go on the higher end to give us room to negotiate. The insurance company is going to give us the low ball end and that's our second battle. We try to go back and forth to say this is market value, this is what it would cost for someone like for a company in the valley to replace it and you know, that's where negotiations
negotiations begin, but that's kind of the range that we have. Any other questions? >> No questions. >> All right. Well, thank you guys so much. >> Pederson. Just keep us posted, please. >> Absolutely. >> All right. Thank you so much. Sorry for the wait, guys. All right. At this time we're going to do two intruder Victor report high school plan of action, D 2 muster report and personal early college report. >> Uh good evening, board. Um the first one was uh audit was conducted back in March 26th for the high school. Uh they passed phase one of the intruder access. Uh they failed phase two of the exterior door audit. Uh the door sweep logs audit was complete, they passed. Uh the two doors for the exterior door audit were the main door entrance to
the early uh college side and then one of the rolling gates here in the tech building. Um we already actually that first door, that main entrance to the early college was actually fixed a day before and then he came for the audit and I the lock and the latch didn't properly close correctly, so that's been already fixed. Uh regarding the rolling gate door, uh we've already spoken to the teacher and the supervisor that's there regarding opening it up without any secure measures or monitor being at station at that door. For the also with that because they did fail, uh there is a proposed course of action which will be submitted to TA. Uh and that's just talking about we've uh trained all personnel there at the high school, all staff and subs regarding our status
and regarding our reinforcements and our documentation, uh maintenance reporting. Uh we talked about the specific findings of those two doors. Uh and then the next one was bringing up this um to our agenda for the safety and security committee, which was we met yesterday um in the morning. And then the next step was to present this information to the board. After that, we'll be the submitting the information to TA for approval. Uh the next audit was conducted April, uh I believe April 10th. Both for early childhood and DTMS, uh they passed all phases of the audit regarding the exterior door audit, intruder access and door sweeps. Thank you, board. >> Thank you. >> I have a question on the exterior door audit. >> Yes, sir. >> that the uh item observed near exterior doors that
could be used to prop door open, it's answered yes. Do we know what what that what that means or >> Uh it's He doesn't go into detail, but that's usually maybe he finds a little rock on the side that's near the our exit doors, which um at my campus, I told my custodians like if you see any rocks visible, just pick them up, put them in the trash can. >> Can you get a a different answer on why that was a yes? >> I could ask Miss Garcia and she'll say I'll ask her principal for that. >> And it says because the outside was not secured, so maybe now that the gates are going be closed >> For the rolling gate, uh I got advice from region one. Even if our perimeter is closed, those
gates cannot be popped open. So, our next step is we're getting a quote regarding some gates that will be in place attached to the building in order in order for us to at least have the >> Cuz it happened to me, but I passed cuz the gates were closed. It's it's the welding shop. >> Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Uh >> All right. Thank you Mr. Moreno. >> All right, thank you. >> Thank you. We need a motion for this. >> Oh, we need a motion? >> Oh, we need >> Wait, hold on. I had a question. So, from now on, the gates will be closed right after at what time, sir? >> Oh, um this is I'm talking about the rolling garage >> Oh, where the welding >> Yes, the welding in the tech building. >>
The entrance The thing is that if we have this gates open, there's a security area outside the perimeter. >> Yes. >> Oh, okay. >> Yeah. >> Uh motion to approve B2. [clears throat] >> Motion by Mr. Flores. Second by Mr. Acosta. All in favor, say "Aye." Aye. Unanimous aye. Motion passes at this time. We go to work order reports. >> Good afternoon. I'm sorry Mr. President. On the agenda, you have a list you know of work orders submitted to the maintenance department and what uh for the month of month of March and what it was completed and what's pending. >> Seems like things are getting done, so good. How often do do you Okay, the dates are good. I'm sorry. >> What we're going to start doing is giving you a monthly one. We used
to do it, then we stopped. Um Mr. Martinez asked for it, so we'll put it on a monthly basis, that way you can see how our work orders are going. This is just a presentation. We don't need >> Yes, sir. >> Any questions? All right. >> Thank you. At this time, we go to be for discussion and possible action for the superintendent to request for proposals RFP's for contracted services relating to HVAC, plumbing, electrical construction, maintenance, and social worker. Mr. President, members of the board, we have attached a sample RFP information that we would use for this contracted services. We talked about it last time, so what we would do though we would go out for RFP's and we would bring Mr. Bettis had mentioned last mentioned for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, so that way we're
not spending money left and right without structure. So this would give us structure and this specific contracted services would be on an hourly basis or on a daily basis depending on on the need. Once we get the actual process going, we get the numbers we bring it bring it to you for for your Any other questions? Are you requesting an RFP per industry or not like together? What do you suggest? I put social worker here because of what we talked about. That can't be part of the construction maintenance. If we have companies that can give us all I mean right yeah like the same company but just whatever they're going to cover yeah. Yeah. And I would like to see it separately like okay hourly rate yeah of course. And and also see we can
do a sealed bids. For for this RFP. Okay. Yeah you open it up with with everybody that's going to present it that's going to turn in a bid. You open it there and then like board members or whoever you the committee that you decide in front of them. Yeah. Okay we'll do that. You know what I mean. Like at 3:00 in the afternoon on a Wednesday whatever and then actually what we can put it here as part of of the actual rule you have to turn it in at a certain time and we're going to open it up. >> No, no, it's just like a bid. All right, any motion? >> Motion to approve. >> D4. >> Motion by Ms. Flores. >> Second by Ms. Acostalevin. Those who say aye. >> Aye. >> Against, say
nay. Motion passes. D5, consider presentation and possible action to renew our financial advisory contract with TRB. Uh Capital Markets, Mr. Dino Hosa. >> Yes, sir, we have Mr. Um Dr. De Los Santos for a presentation. >> Good evening. Sorry to make you wait. I think as >> [laughter] >> Um This is about the fourth or fifth time that we've come before you. We're asking for 5 years. It's like a long time, but 30 clause Whatever reason no reason whatsoever board doesn't wants to change or we don't want to work for you anymore, we'll send you a letter. Uh Contract is basically the same, except it has a lot of the language that since we joined TRB a couple of years ago has a lot of the language TRB's parent company Dino Hosa is an business
Other than that, there's some detail in there regarding what our responsibilities are responsibilities to us are very specific I remind you that we don't get paid unless financed. We're always at the >> I did have a question on appendix A, the table. The table on on appendix A. >> Yeah, that's that's a >> And can you explain that a little bit at least a few few samples, please? >> A is the way that in all of our contracts. I'll just example of a bond for .5 .5 million dollars over there. Our fee would be As it the yield that goes up, the bond is go up depends on a bond like 2.5 That's all I have. I want to understand how that works. >> Any other questions? >> Motion to approve [clears throat] D5. >>
Motion by Ms. Flores. >> Second by Mr. Bettencourt. All in favor, say aye. >> Aye. >> All against, say nay. Motion passes. >> Thank you, sir. >> I'm sorry for the wait. >> Thank you. >> At this time, we go to D6. >> Oh. >> Yes, the board. >> D6, D7, D8, D9, and D10 are related to the um delinquent tax collections contracts and the property value audits. >> Okay, what's D1 D6 through what? >> D6, D7, D8 all the way to D10 and we have Kelly from Linebarger. >> Perfect. >> Good evening, ma'am. I'm sorry. >> So I can I can go through these items one by one if you like. >> Yes. >> Okay, great. D6 is for board review, recommend board action for Texas Government Code 2254 the district to provide a
written statement and findings for the district's need for specialized contingent fee legal services. Texas Government Code 2254 requires when a board engages an attorney for contingency fee attorney fees, that there needs to be written findings of the district's need for those services, meaning the district doesn't do these activities and so they're outsourcing them to a firm like you have with us. The law change where you need to do written written findings, we have those proposed written findings. It should be within the board's packet detailing the need for those specialized services. The law requires the board, if you contract with an attorney for contingency fees, you have to approve the written findings. >> Any questions? All right, you want to go to D7? What do you No, we get >> we need approval. >> Okay, we
need to take action right away. Okay. >> Motion to approve D6. >> I second it. >> Motion by Ms. Flores, second by Ms. Cantu. All in favor say "Aye". >> Aye. >> Motion passes. At this time we go to D7. >> Thank you, President Ramos. That's the board review recommend and approve of awarding contracts for delinquent tax collection services to Linebarger Gogan Blair and Sampson. We have had the privilege of representing the school district um since at least 2009. We've enjoyed that partnership tremendously. We bring forward to the board a updated and renewed contract with an attorney's fees reduced to 15%. So, we'd appreciate uh the board to consider that and approve that. The term for the contract is left open for the board's consideration. The prior contract that I reviewed was um from 2009
to 2012 with 1-year successive automatic renewals and we've been on those auto renewals since. So, um that's my recommendation to the board for your consideration. >> the percentage before? >> It was 20%. And and similar to what uh Dr. De los Santos uh um described for his contract, that 15% is not charged to the district. It is charged to that small percentage of uh taxpayers who go delinquent and they pay that fine once they become delinquent July 1st. >> Motion to approve D7. >> Motion by Ms. Flores. >> I'll second that. >> Seconded by Mr. Armendariz. All in favor of the motion, say "Aye." >> Aye. >> Motion passes. D8. >> Board review and recommend adoption of resolution modifying penalties imposed under tax code provision 3307 and 3308. Just as I described about the 15%,
the board is required uh to approve a resolution directing the tax office to make that change. 3307 is a tax code's uh general provision um authorizing at the application of attorney's fees beginning July 1st. 3308 relates to the filing of litigation and the fee attaching there. Um those fees are not doubled up. It's only 115% fee on on the delinquent account. >> So, it's 15% total? >> Correct. It's not 15 plus another 15. It's just 15. >> Awesome. >> Motion to approve D8. >> Motion by Mr. Nanosel. >> Second by Mr. Pettis. All in favor say aye. Aye. Motion passes. D9. >> Board review recommending approval of awarding contract for property value study services to Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson. When I was here um last month, we described the property value services and audit
services that Linebarger um offers in addition to delinquent tax collections. Uh when the appraisal district comes and assesses properties, they have to be in compliance with the Texas Comptroller. Well, in addition to that, sometimes those assessments may be uh subject to additional review. Linebarger steps in and if we can find additional monies through um appraisals being a little off, we file audits with the Comptroller and we can provide additional funding if those values are off. So, it's an additional service and additional potential um source of income to the district. If we don't find money for the district, we don't get paid. So, it's not additional out um budgetary item for you. It's an additional potential source of income. >> And that's 15%. >> Correct. >> On the contract, it says 10%. >> Oh, I'm sorry.
Do I get it's a late at night excuse? It's 10%. Okay, sorry. I apologize. Thank you. >> Motion to approve D9. >> Motion by Mr. Flores. Second by Mr. Acosta. All in favor say aye. Aye. All against say nay. Motion passes. D10. >> Board review and recommend adoption of resolution setting penalties imposed under tax code provision 33.11. This is a provision of the tax code that applies to business personal property. It allows the early application of that attorney's fees beginning April 1st instead of July 1st due to the mobility of business personal property allows us to try to go get that delinquent property before the business closes or property leaves. So, that we're presenting that to you. >> Awesome. Any other questions? >> And this is 15. >> This is 15%. Thank you. >> Motion
to approve. >> Motion is by Ms. Flores. >> Second by Ms. Acostalim. All in favor say aye. Aye. All against it, nay. Motion passes. Thank you so much. >> Bad excuse. >> Yes. >> Have a terrific evening. >> Have a great day. Sorry about that. >> No, thank you. >> All right, we're going to the 11 review recommend the board action on SB 546 bus seat belt requirements. >> Yes, sir. Under new Senate Bill 546, uh requires school districts to ensure that school buses are equipped with uh with the seat belt. Uh it requires for the school districts to have an inventory, the cost to be in compliance and a plan of action. Um currently the district has uh 15 buses. Seven of the buses meet compliance with the seat belt. Uh eight buses do
not meet do not have a seat belts right now. The total cost for for the district or the total total cost for the district to be in compliance would be 264,000. That was about 30 33,000 per bus. >> Okay. >> And this needs to be done by September 2029. >> When is that? >> September 2029. >> What about it? >> The deadline to be in compliance. We have >> I thought we were getting electric buses and new buses. >> No, it's on the wish list. >> Wish list? >> On the wish list. >> Huh? >> Yeah, what what happened to that? >> The budget situation, we we stopped it. >> it. >> On the wish list when we get them. >> This one we need to comply by 2029. >> So, you have We're starting
with the newer buses that are actually good to fix, right? >> All right, let's just take the >> The good thing right now we're getting the waivers not to be in compliance. >> Mhm. >> we're going to replace them. >> It depends on the budget. Right now >> but I think our buses are some of our brand new. >> No, no, like these some of these eights from 2003 >> The plan was to start replacing them. Based on our budget. >> Remember we started with the budget that we had last year. >> Who who who who quoted this? >> We got a quote from I don't >> It's a grant, right? >> No, this comes from 199. >> What? No, those are >> It says your funding source amount grants. >> Yes, I I haven't
We have to September 29th to be in compliance. Right now, we would like to submit the waiver. Uh the waiver due to the budget but there's going to be grants available. So, we're going to go with the grants as soon as they're available. Once we submit this report September 20 May 29th that is due to TEA basically that's what they're doing. They're doing a survey to see how many how much money we going to need so they can open for for grants. >> You're not approving 200 >> No, we're just the waiver. >> The waiver. We're waving. >> for us to have >> Yes. >> So, they want to know how much money for compliance. >> Yes. >> Correct. >> Okay. >> You're not approving the amount. >> You're just Motion to approve D11. >>
Motion by Ms. Flores. Seconded by Ms. Acosta and Mr. Chai. >> Aye. All in favor say aye. Motion passes. D12 Uh D12 request authorization to renew assistant state for property proof P&C. >> Yes, sir. The renewal is due July 1st and we're requesting guidance if you guys want to renew with TASB or go out to for a request for for property insurance. >> TASB is usually the one in the market, but I mean let's give anybody an opportunity once >> Yeah, I know that. I I say we go for a RFP on this. >> I agree. Any motion? >> Motion to approve D12 to move for our RFP. >> Motion by Mr. Perez. >> Second by Mr. Flores. All in favor, say "Aye." >> Aye. >> All against? Motion passes. D13. >> This is also
This is the workers comp insurance or I'm sorry. Yeah, workers comp. >> comp. >> Workers compensation insurance. We're currently with TASB. And about $185,000. This one is the renewal is due September 1st. But we would like to plan ahead if you guys want us to go out for >> Yep. >> Yeah, let's do it. Same thing. >> Same thing. >> All right. Motion. >> I make a motion to approve D13 to move forward with an RFP. >> Motion by Mr. Perez. >> Second by Mr. Flores. All in favor, say "Aye." >> Aye. >> All against? >> With uh >> With sealed bids on D12 and D13. >> Sealed bids on 12 12 and 13. >> All right. D14 requesting consideration approval of original local agreement between Hidalgo County and Pharr San Isidro ISD district for
the proposed responding to the public health threats and emergency. >> This is uh This started back in 2020 when we had the COVID. Basically, what we were doing, we lending a um a section of the building for testing for vaccination. So, we would like to renew it for another 5 years. >> There's no cost for us, right? >> No. >> Oh, that's good. >> Uh motion to approve D14. >> Motion by Mr. Flores. >> Second by Mr. Perez. All in favor, say "Aye." >> Aye. Motion passes. At this time, we go to cash disbursements. >> District total cash disbursements for the month of March is $844,269. >> Any questions? I know you guys review your booklets. You do? Mr. Flores has a question, Mr. Flores. >> I do also. >> Go ahead, Ms. Armendariz. >>
The first page, I don't understand all that much money and then it says lost in the mail. What's going on with that? >> That is either they didn't receive the check in the mail, so we had to void it and re-issue a check. >> For who again? For this It says IEN IBS. >> IBS. >> What is that? I'm sorry. >> That's >> 27,000. First page. >> Oh, it's for a service in the gates. >> I saw it. 34. That was for the cameras. Thank you. >> Function 34. That's for the cameras. The bus camera here. >> Oh, okay. >> That we approved a few months back. >> Okay. And then we pay the University of Texas a membership fee for that one. $2,800. >> That's athletics. >> UT Rio Grande Valley. Okay. I'm sorry.

F3, tax collection report. >> Tax collection report total Total collected today is 3. 3.1 million. Total outstanding is 1.6 million. Attorney fees for delinquents 5,000 dollars from the >> Approve, yes. I need a motion, please. >> Motion to approve approve F3. >> Motion by Ms. Flores. Seconded by Ms. Acosta. All in favor say aye. >> Aye. Motion passes. At this time, we're going to do we have a budget update? >> We have a budget update, yes, sir. Total revenue actual revenue received 15 million. Total expenditure 11 million and then encumbrance we have a a million 1 million. >> Any questions? >> And this is just for your review. >> Awesome. All right. What this
time, I make a motion to approve all the resignations discussed in executive session. Motion by Ms. Ramos. Seconded by Ms. Acosta. All in favor say aye. >> Aye. Motion passes. At this time, I make a motion to approve all all the renewals as discussed in possible in in in executive session. >> Second. >> Motion by Ms. Seconded by Ms. Flores. All in favor say aye. >> Aye. Against, nay. Motion passes. At this time, I make a >> We're going to need letter B as well. >> Yes. Discussion. I make a motion to approve the hiring of professionals and instructional non-instructional personnel as discussed in executive session. >> Second. >> Motion by myself, Ramos. Seconded by Ms. Flores. All in favor, say "Aye." >> Aye. Motion passes. At this time, we go to >> Letter D
as well. >> D. I need a mo- I'll make a motion. Oh, no. Hold on. D is about the TRS. There's no C, is there? >> Letter C. >> Okay. I make a motion to to make a motion to the hiring of the non-professional, the clerical and technical or technical personnel. >> Second. >> Motion by myself, Ramos. Seconded by Ms. Flores. All in favor, say "Aye." >> Aye. Motion passes. >> Can you read letter D? >> Yes. Discussion possible action to review and modify the current employment arrangements for TRS retirees to ensure uh comply law and minimize the offset TRS surcharge cost. >> Second. >> What is it? >> Second. >> What? >> You make the motion. >> Hold on, guys. >> No, no, no. I I I just let I just read the item.
>> Second. >> I guess she said second. >> I just read the item. >> For this item, TRS, um there is an opportunity for savings uh for next year's budget uh with recent changes that have passed the legislature. And so, one of the proposals that some districts are doing is they're amending their compensation plan where now the district doesn't cover TRS portion of retire rehires. And so, that cost is passed to the retire rehire. Uh and so, if you want to move forward with this plan, then that's what that would do. We would work through conducting legal mechanism in which the district passes on the surcharge essentially portion of TRS for the retiree rehire uh to the employee, not the district. And I think the figures that Mr. Granado put together uh show about a
savings of about $55,000 if you all were to enact this change. >> And what what is the change again? >> So, the change is that the TRS component of the retiree higher surcharge will be passed to the employee. So, whenever we hire retiree rehire, we have to pay a surcharge for having them with the district. And so, this cost will be passed to the employee. >> Most districts do this. >> This is This is what the districts are doing now, right? >> That's correct. Yes. >> Especially in the situation that we >> That's correct. Yes. >> So, we have to vote on it? >> Yes, we have to vote on it. >> The only thing that I see here is that there's three bus drivers. So, we're going to lose three. >> I was thinking
about that, too, like >> There's There's three bus drivers here. >> It's not going to It's big. It has to be everyone. Can we move it to the next meeting? It has to be done today? >> Maybe not. No, because in order to be able to issue uh um in order to issue changes to compensation between one year to the next, we have to do it 45 days before the first day of school. And so, I think by your next meeting, we're going to be within the window where we might not be able to unless we have the calendar I can figure that out right now. >> Yeah, the calendar's on the in the It just got approved. >> A, calendar A. >> Option A. >> This guy was >> Look look at the left.
>> Two or not? >> One. >> Okay, so yeah, we we we we could we could do it at the at the at the May meeting. >> Okay. >> Yeah. Well, we'll have time. >> Yes. >> Okay, at this time I make a motion to table the item. >> Second. >> Motion by myself Ramos to table the item, second by Ms. Flores. All in favor, say "Aye." >> Aye. will pass this is there any way I'm sorry then that the superintendent could get with the staff and let them know the plan that we have that we're going to take action on the TRS so they could know ahead of time because I just don't want them to boom we approve it in May and then they hit the they get the the letter that you
know what you have to pay certain amount of monthly >> Thank you very much because it's very important some of them are going to get contracts already so I think by that time you need to be very transparent with them. >> Yes. >> Correct. Correct. All right. >> So Sunday? >> I think that they make a motion at this time to make just to approve the the superintendent's evaluation. >> Second. >> Motion by myself Ramos second by Miss Acosta on the previous I I motion passes. Discussion and action to modify the compensation plan. >> [gasps] >> That one but we'll also table that one. >> Yes. Correct. Make a motion to table. >> Second by Miss Acosta and Miss Flores on the previous I I item have been tabled at this time I make a
motion to adjourn. >> Second. >> Motion by myself Juan Ramos second by Miss Flores on the previous I I uh 7:02 the meeting has been adjourned. >> I >> [laughter]
