Welcome >> remarks for the good of the school. We have a lot of activity Christmas time. The elementary has don Saturday. great morning when it comes to that. And then also our Christmas concerts are December 11th, 10 a.m. Many other activities. Check out the website. You know what the other schools have elementary? >> So this is >> Yes. >> What is it that's going on? Donuts with Santa is the big that's Saturday December 6 and auction all kinds of stuff is also hosted next week. >> Thank you. I just wanted uh to say that right now Ken and Matt Hemp Matt is appointed as our legislative representative and Matt and Ken are the rest of this week meeting with the legislature and our particular uh legislators who are assigned to to listen to us. uh
they're over there meeting with those people. They set the meeting up. They got the time and uh the hear of those people and basically what we're going to be talking about is what we've been talking about with you guys. We finally got to a point where they were available. That's what's going on. We send Matt so they listen, you know, get our message through. >> I think I think it's just important that they hear where we're at that they need to connect with us in reality and in person. So, but that's what's going on. And so, I don't have any to report, but that's kind of the action that we're taking this week and this weekend. Okay. Hey Bob, just be a little more specific topic specifically that you're hoping to focus on. >> Well,
the transgender statement, that's what we're doing. I mean, that's what we've been talking about with you guys for number of meetings now and we we're interested in taking that to a point of conclusion, too. So, that's going through the motions got to go through to get to get to that point. Okay. >> A lot of different businesses that came, they interviewed the students first interviewed them to find out about their careers and then the employers interviewed the students and I can tell you she had some amazing students. Her composure and energy was outstanding. looking at our also it was kind of great that we're doing this year after year because I like taking my kids like I don't want to do this and like you know sometimes you got to do we gota dress up
you gota go to interview you don't want to go to interview you know part of what you got to do on the ride back you know like you know so building those skills and getting those lifelong state The other thing I would just say we're talking about things for the good of the school is that it's great to have Wes Stone with us tonight and later on they said is going to remember that he's taking place James is I mean I I pray for her on a regular basis because boy, this thing of children in bad health. been such a hard thing to deal with because a tough tough situation that they thought they had rectified a year ago. >> Okay. >> Also, our soccer team >> Yeah. >> took evidently took league. I don't
know how they do that these days, but they had to go play a game from the with a team out out of the down city I think stator. So they they did extremely well and one thing that we are failing miserably at doing is letting the community know of these things ahead of time. Last night they had their recognition, their diplomas, but I only know about this because I have a granddaughter at 2:00. I just my in my home, my daughter, but we're not letting the public know any of this at all on on Facebook places that they occupy going to all the time. They send notes home with kids sometimes if they make the parents or make call but the activities that you just talked about and this activity we ke that not that
they're going to come but they're going to see if we were saying almost well they took leave and we're going to state in soccer it's a big deal you know and all the other activities and programs go from FFA and to everything >> only for college because I'm the one that does the Facebook page. Um, if people send me stuff, I'm more than happy to post pretty much anything and everything. Um, and as I know about it, I try to get it out there. But if I don't know about it or if people aren't talking about it, you know, it's kind of hard to get it out there. But if the school is like and are constantly sending me stuff, we try to post stuff as we can as we know about it. But even
if you know stuff, feel free to shoot me a message and I can look up and find out what's going on about it all the time. >> Okay, great. Because I don't even know how and I I see things occasionally. I don't know where they come from, how they >> usually it's just people sending me an email and if you know about it, I'm more than happy to post it up or let the community know anywhere and everywhere. Anybody else? >> Hey. >> Yeah. >> I don't know if you said anything yet or not. You're not with us for that. >> No. What? This meeting's over. I'm done. >> Okay. Totally want to express an amazing appreciation. That's a lot of years that you've done business here and you made you made a colossal difference
in the school area and I would hate that to just go by without sitting there going a huge debt of gratitude from this community to to the position that you've done there for a lot of years >> and I and I know it is but but thanks >> [laughter] >> I started with Kayla right after Jerry. Once a while I used to still see [clears throat] Jerry and we recognized each other because I drove school bus when I was first married in the district here and he was super he was a coach or something then we ride on the bus once in a while. My wife would be on the knees comments on that. She looks so cute. She keeps sitting there knitting on the on the game buses and things. More and more areas
been our source of historical truth. But what went on 25 years ago been pretty good. >> We appreciate it. >> Yeah. Was that before they >> did you participate? >> Was it really? [laughter] >> Sorry. But the only time I felt OP about saying that was when when Bill Kemp said they did us the greatest favor in the world. [laughter] Otherwise very embarrassed. >> Anybody else? I'll just as a reminder if you haven't already you're here for the policy 3211 verbage you can reach out to Shel on our website the bottom of our main page and you can punch in your information and then read the message and so that allows us to have overhead Okay, I need a motion to adopt the approval of minutes for the previous meeting. All in favor say I
approach agenda say I don't have a six report obviously right now we are ready for Wesley Stone to say his oath of office at least seven is going to To be honest, I don't think we raised any hands here, but somebody has >> just usually. >> Okay. So, repeat after me. >> I, Wesley Stone, >> do solemnly swear or affirm >> that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the State of Washington. solemnly serve and support the Constitution of the United States and the State of Washington >> and the laws of the state of Washington >> and will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of Riverside School District number 416 >> and faithfully discharge the duties of Riverside School District number 416. >> Director District number three. >> All right. Thank
you. No term limits are 45 [clears throat] weekly. >> [laughter] >> Okay. Lisa Whitaker state capital evaluation overnight trip 12 9 20. >> What's this one? for the evaluation for FFA >> in question. >> Any other question I >> comments from the I allow I allow you to come [laughter] in now because you're new and we don't have any water under the bridge with you. Now that's why we do remarks for the good of the school. >> Oh remarks not for the good. [laughter] >> Did you get your dissertation on boilers? >> [laughter] >> Okay. >> You still need a motion. >> I need a motion. Uh so discussion all in favor say I >> think [laughter] we made a decision at the
