The president of the Wisconsin Masonic Foundation unfortunately is unable to be here and really wants to be here. They are presenting to our district 6 AED units. Um, so he asked if they could reschedu for June. So, we will be foregoing that recognition until June. >> All right, sounds

And student representation. >> And in other exciting news, our student representative, Giana, has a lacrosse game this evening, which started at 7:00. So, I want to at least give her props because she did come and she was prepared to try to go right away. Um, she was unaware of how open or closed sessions work and things like that. So, she did

010scamper out to her game, which I highly encouraged her to do. So I will again be reading as a standin for her. Um so again she was the one that did all the work behind the scenes for this. So at all elementary schools our students wrapped up their forward exams at BA and at Bane. It was followed by a week of underground spirit surprises from the staff. Dress up days included things like dress like a student and derby day to end the week. At the end of April, all three elementary schools hosted an openhouse event for our incoming kindergarten students to visit their respective elementary schools. Uh students and families received tours of their school, had the opportunity to ask questions, and heard about all the wonderful things that make up a t typical day

011in kindergarten life. Staff appreciation week is this week, May 4th through May 8th. So, all schools will be celebrating the amazing teachers of our district. Blae, Bailey's mascot, goes to work, has been a huge hit with the students. Parents have sent pictures which are on display um at with Blae at their places of employment. Additionally, Bay Lane's PTO recently ran the Scholastic Bookf Fair and looks forward to its annual family fun night. Their third and fourth graders are gearing up to perform in the spring music concert at the PAC and they continue to stay motivated and focused as the end of the year quickly approaches with many extra events and festivities. A big tradition at Mil Valley is Mayday um which is really awesome. Actually got to sneak over to see that this year. On

012May 1st, every classroom took the took to the neighborhood delivering handcrafted baskets and flowers to their neighbors. the tradition of sharing Mayday baskets to spread kindness and joy by leaving them anonymously. Our fourth graders from Mil Valley had two opportunities to sing the national anthem. Um, one at WM Panther Arena for the wave and another one at the Admirals game. So, special thanks to Miss Edawala for making the special opportunities happen for our students. And then our PTO also hosted a very well attended glow dance on April 10th. middle school. Our Mosqual Lakes is excited for the Best Buddies Friendship Walk happening this Saturday, May 9th, from 9 to 10 at Mosqu High School track. We hope to see you there. They encourage everyone to walk for friendship and inclusion while enjoying snacks, raffle prizes,

013fun, and a welcoming atmosphere. Lake Denon is having their spring showcase night on May 7th from 4:00 until 6:00. and Lake Denoon's National Junior Honor Society had a successful spaghetti dinner night raising money for the Makea-Wish Foundation. Lake Denoon's eighth graders have started planning their end of middle school transition. They get to celebrate by going to Six Flags, buying matching t-shirts, and planning their promotional ceremony to high school. And at our high school, all national honor societies have hosted their induction ceremonies for their incoming members, as well as open up applications. Our drama club had incredible performance of their spring show, Julia Seizure. The talent of our students has been so impressive. Uh AP students have begun their preparations for AP exams that begin this week and next. So, good luck to all of them.

014And our high school will also be hosting their community service day on May 20th, providing service and helping hands for our school and our community. Also on the 20th will be our scholar athletes awards. These are recognitions for student athletes who participate in athletics while upholding a 3.5 GPA or higher. And then last Friday was our music department's cabaret performance. It had an 80s theme with amazing performances. I saw several of you guys there. It really was an incredible night. Um so thank you for your attendance at that. And that concludes our student report. And perhaps we'll get a score update at some point from John. He partnered with our um, Sergeant Johannic of our police department and member of Von Breezen's legal department. uh they were highlighting our partnership with our SRO's and the overall community partnership from our school and our police department. So um it was very

016wellreceived and just did a great job highlighting what has been a great partnership to kind of highlight what it means to be a part of a warrior family. So, I actually filled in for Todd and when I announced myself, half the room cleared out. Where's Todd? >> Now that I'm on record, I might as well say that a wedding popped up. One of our closest friends after I had volunteered to do this presentation. And when I asked my wife if I needed to go to the wedding, it did not end well. Should have known the answer to that one. 020home and did the minutes and reflected on how much work is being done in this district and with it being teacher appreciation, I just again want to do a shout out to how hard our teachers have been working and Anita I know that the whole group ki just really um the professional development that's going on, the dedication to the professional development um how hard all the teams are working and how creative they are and how inter collaborative they are and really looking out for the best interest of the kids and preparing them to be able to think for themselves in multi-dimensional. Um it's really amazing um what we've been doing and accomplishing and until you have that opportunity to really sit down and read through what you've been doing it's like amazing that all that's

021getting done. So I just wanted to the being teachers appreciation and staff and all of you for everything that you do.
