Good evening, everyone. Welcome to our June regularly scheduled board meeting. Mr. Ken Worthy, do the prayer followed by the pledge. Do you want me to pray? Lord, we just thank you about our 250 years as a nation, how you've blessed us. We thank you for public education that was... establish and set up on your word and on your principles, Lord. And Psalms says, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. All who follow his instructions have good insight. His praise endures forever. And so we come humbly before you today, Lord, seeking your wisdom and your guidance in every decision we make regarding the school and that you will bless us going forward throughout the summer. I pray you'll give our staff good rest and time with their families and travels and we'll come
back and really go in the fall. In Jesus' name, amen. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Approval of the agenda. Actually, I have an amendment I'd like to make to the agenda for tonight. In personnel, I would like to add a voluntary transfer. from the high school music position to the intermediate music position. I would also like to add a resignation for ECA position high school band director, and I would also like to make a recommendation to approve a high school band or music teacher and band director. One position. Okay. Make a motion to approve the... agenda and what was stated by Mark. Okay. Are there any questions or discussion?
Okay. Please vote. Mine's a yes. Okay. The motion is passed. All right. Okay. All right. Approval of minutes. I'll make a motion to approve the minutes of our last school board meeting. Second. Any questions? All right. Please vote. All right. Motion is carried. All right. Panther Pride. Yes. Nice things to recognize here. First, we had an All Music Award for Western High School for the 2526 ISMA All Music Award. So congratulations to our music departments there. Also, I was able to attend the sculpture outside Fire Station 1 that the Career Center put together. And so that was just a really neat event. had a lot of different individuals from the community and the state there to see what our welding program put together so that's picture with the welding students there at the career center
that are from western so just want to give them a big shout out on a beautiful piece of art that will be there for many many years and for many people to enjoy if you haven't had a chance to see it please get out there and take a look at it it's pretty amazing And then, Elise, I would like for you to actually come up here for a second. So Elise Walden is a state champion. So I got the opportunity to go to the state finals, which is at a timely time. It's like at 3 o'clock on a Friday afternoon. But anyways, Elise went down, and she threw. the discus and placed sixth. Did a wonderful job there. And then she, right after the discus, she went over to the shot put and threw the
shot put. And she had six throws in the shot put. All six of her throws would have won the state championship. That's how amazing those throws were. Really, it was very impressive. Almost three feet you won by, is that correct? Yeah, so what an amazing feat. But we are going to recognize Elise at the Kokomo Western basketball game with her ring that Mr. Hyman just... measured her ring tonight, so she'll be awarded her ring there. You will also at some point in time see her picture hanging in the Hall of Champions, so congratulations there. And then also we have a new recognition that we've been doing here at Western. We just started doing this and you are going to be the first student to receive a Western Challenge coin. And this coin is given to
someone who represents Western at its best. This person leads with character, serves with others with care, responds to challenges with determination, and makes a positive difference in the lives of students, staff, families, and the community. Their action builds trust, strengthens relationships, and makes Western a better place. So on this challenge coin, Elise, you're going to have the school seal on one side, and then on the other side, it's going to have the three township schools, their school colors, and our Western logo. But this is something to say thank you for representing Western at its best. So congratulations. And that is all I have for Panther Pride. With it being the summertime, we don't do all the student recognition and teacher recognition. So great end of the spring seasons for a lot of our athletic teams
as well. Regional finals, sectional finals, a lot of great things there with our students and student athletes. All right, public comment. We have no one who signed up, so we'll go to reports. Mr. Zahn? As you can see in the report, the in-a-month balance is $19,312,816.42. The interest paid for the month was $53,628.52. Payroll claims that are being submitted for your approval total $1,623,778.28. And then the vendor payments we're asking for approval total $2,396,720.59. Not included in those vendor payments, but what I do have for you to review, and we made the payments, the invoices that are going to go out available for your review as well, is our bond payments. As a reminder, we make these twice a year. uh once in june and once in december uh they are scheduled to go out
the 26th of this month uh the total payment will be two million three hundred sixty six thousand six hundred sixty six dollars and twenty five cents Other things to report out, we had our S&P rating call last week. This is for them to gather information on our ability to meet our financial obligations. We have in the past received a AA plus long-term rating and an A plus underlying rating. All indicators are we will maintain those ratings to make sure we get the best rate on our bonds possible. We have the target bond sale date of June 25th, which should mean we should have cash in hand from the sale around July 25th. I also want to report out that we got our circuit breaker projections for pay 2026. These numbers I'm going to give you
are assuming that we waive protection for the debt service fund, which I will talk about in a resolution here in a few minutes. But the projections total just over $1.4 million in circuit breaker losses for calendar year 26. This is up from $1,360,000 last year. We did expect it to go up, especially with the homestead credit. We knew that that was going to add to the total circuit breaker loss because it's a new version of it, if you will. I will say it is significantly less than what was expected and what was being projected. by both the state and our partners at policy analytics. Uh, we've been able to have some conversations on why it was so much less than we expected. And we believe it's primarily being driven by the county increasing the property
tax replacement credit. And by then increasing them, increasing that it decreases our total circuit breaker loss. Uh, you have my supporting documentation. If you have any questions, I'm more than happy to go into detail. You have a motion to accept the treasurer's report. I'll make a motion to accept the treasurer's report. Second. Any questions? All right. Please vote. Okay. Motion carried. Exceptional learners and testing. Ms. Hewlett? You had the opportunity to report. This month has been a lot of working on. our grants, formative assessment grant, title pre-application, consulting with our non-pubs within our district, also looking at positions that we need to fill. We did have a private couple of primary positions that were open. We got both of those filled. Now we're just working on filling some eighth positions. I've also done some playing
around with parent squares. We sent out some surveys to our high-ability parents and staff that we'll report out on the next broad-based planning. I also worked on high ability manual, got that updated as well. And then we're working on finding some autism training just for our staff because we have several students that are enrolled and that are coming straight from ADA facilities into school with little to no school experience. So we just want to be sure that our staff are prepared for that. Any questions on that? Questions? Will that training be for special ed teachers or all teachers? It will probably be a combination. It will just depend on how we do that. I definitely want to get the paras involved in that as well just because they're kind of in the front line of
that. But I do think some of our general education teachers, there will be some students that will be mainstreamed into those classrooms, and so we'll be sure that they're prepared for that as well. Okay. Thank you. All right. Technology, Mr. Shear? Yes. Good evening. I just wanted to highlight a few items. The iPad collection went really well this year. Thank you to all the teachers and the teachers for helping with that. There's a little bit of information on some of the damages with the iPads. There's something to keep an eye on this year. They seem to be quite high in one building or so. Also, there's one key thing that has been probably noticed in the news. I put in there some articles regarding some of the technology in classrooms, of course, with the cell
phone. and the state plus the federal level. There's some discussions going on. So just something that we'll be keeping our eye on over the next few months, years, just to see if there's some changes or some adjustments we might make or that the federal government requires us to make. So just something to keep an eye out for. We're, of course, I'm going to mention again, Parent Square, we keep... We keep working through that and we met with the athletic department, Debbie and Aaron, and worked out a little bit of a plan. Did some training with them a couple weeks ago and I think we're ready to keep moving with that with athletics, which is pretty good. And we'll hit the ground running in August with the parent square, hopefully to everyone with some additional training.
And then our other project statuses are listed below. Any questions for me? Any questions? Not a question, but a comment. I appreciated the articles. Thank you. That was interesting. Okay. All right. Assistant Superintendent, Mr. Bates. Thank you very much, Ms. Newby and good evening to everybody. A couple updates that we have going on in our office for the month of June. We have completed the school safety grant, which opened this June 1st, and that goes towards funding our student resource officers. So we're hoping that that gets approved so we can continue with that. Also. attended our countywide school safety meeting where the local schools all get together and we discuss some of the things that are going on safety wise and looking at trying to plan with all the county schools reunification so we're working
through that updates on transportation summer school went very well we transported about 55 students and now we're again, buses are still running. We've got a few kids who are on extended school year. And then before that's over, then we'll be looking at jumpstart and starting school back up again. But, um, again, working on routes for next year, uh, we do have one new neighborhood that's coming in that, um, we'll probably have a couple of students in that we'll be working with and bus driver recruitment. Unfortunately, we had two bus drivers who, um, who'll be moving on they got a different job but i wish them the best for them and their families but with our banner bus it's been traveling around the county trying to get some prospective employees we have had to apply so
looking forward to that to reload and then update on curriculum as Ms. Hewlett described. The state formative assessment grant worked with the principals to select what assessment we'll be looking at there. And also, I'm sure coming out here real soon will be the IREAD scores, which we're working on with our strategic plan. So we're able to share that with you guys, looking to get those end-of-year numbers. But hats off to everybody at the intermediate and second grade and the primary. I think you guys will be really impressed with the numbers this year. And lastly, our curriculum mapping that we've been working with Jordan Pride Moore finished up K through five English language arts. And we're looking at meeting with the teachers to roll that out beginning of the year. And next year we'll be looking
at focusing on math K through five. So that is my report for you guys pending your questions. Do you have any questions? Do you know offhand just how many students we have in the extended school year? but the teachers are meeting with them outside of the library or coming in here to meet with them to do it at a critical point of progression. And so we just wanted to . Great. All right. Thank you. Thank you. Mr. Du Bois? Yeah, thank you. First, I'd like to give a big thanks to the high school administration, support staff, and the class sponsors for a wonderful graduation ceremony to recognize the class of 2026. Those are always neat experiences to watch everybody see their child walk across the stage. cheer on their accomplishments and what happens next for
them. So the high school has always done a really nice job with that ceremony. Also just doing a lot of walkthroughs at construction sites, remembering sometimes to change my shoes because I'm going to get into some mud, especially with all the rain that we're having. But things are moving along pretty well. I've sent a number of pictures to all of you to see the progress at the intermediate school. We've done some drone footage that I'll send out to you as well to see some of the stuff at the football field and some of the things on the roof with the solar. Unless you'd like to climb up onto the roof and look at the solar, we could accommodate that as well. But I think the drone pictures might suffice. So there's just a lot going
on there. One of the things that I did attend that we're probably going to hear a little bit more about is the IHSA seminar on personal branding activity. This is not NIL, at least that's what they're saying, but I'm still having a hard time grasping how this is going to work, how it's going to be monitored. the consequences or the accountability of the monitoring and so on and so forth. So that's to be determined, but that's something if you hear PBA, that is personal branding activity, not Pro Bowlers Association. So, but that's just something that's on the forefront and that is really going to start creeping into our education-based athletics. The other things that we're just doing right now is we're preparing for next school year, wrapping up the end of the year stuff here
by the end of the month and getting ready to launch next school year. So other than that, I have given you my update, and if you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them for you. Did you have a question? Oh, yeah, I had a question. My question is, how are we in terms of... attendance for the new kindergarten class coming in so right now we're approximately 170 okay which is a nice number if we see 10 more 12 more we may have to talk about some additions there, whether it's paraprofessionals, whether it's teaching positions. But between now and then, we'll see some come, some go that have registered. So decent numbers so far. It might be too early. Any transfers? From two other great from other grades coming in or we won't know
that until we're doing Transfers from all grade levels right now. There's some some grade levels that are Full where we don't want to take any others right now or they are on a wait list but kindergarten is one that we try to If we have eight sections nine sections, that's kind of what we monitor right now what we had this time last year I want to say this is higher 150 or so up. Yes, that is correct. Okay. That's all. I just wanted to say something about graduation also, because I was talking to someone who attended Western's graduation and then another graduation. And they were very impressed with the way that our parents and students behaved and said that, you know, in another school, they couldn't even hear the names being announced because there was
so much. going on. So I do appreciate the way our graduation is conducted. Very nice. Yeah, I would agree. It's something where, you know, you have 13 years of hard work for three seconds of walking across the stage, and it's very encouraging to see the people be respectful to those walking across the stage for that moment in time. So, yeah, I would agree with that. Okay. Homestead credit reallocation transfer resolution. Yeah, it's kind of a review. It would have been two legislative sessions ago. The big emphasis was on property tax reform, and what I'll argue is the biggest version of that property tax reform came in the homestead credit that was passed. This gives all homeowners 10% of their total tax bill off up to $300. This loss to us, it's a credit to the
homeowner, but it's a loss to the school and other taxing units. This loss then adds to what has been our traditional circuit breaker that we always report out on. But after that session, again two sessions ago, the loss was to be divided between the debt service and the operations fund. And this was a newer aspect because traditionally speaking, the debt service fund was protected, but they didn't protect it. This most recent legislative session, they did make the correction protecting debt service to where it would not be hit by almost all the circuit breaker losses. But they said for this year, 2026, and this year only, you could waive that protection. The waiver comes in the form of transferring a DLGF determined amount from debt service to operations. We are asking for permission to make that
transfer. Again, as I hinted at, this will be the only year that we are able to do this. We've talked to our internal financial team as well as our external partners that advise us, and we feel like it is our best interest to do this, both for this year, because the budget was planned on debt service. Not being protected and for the long term and our ability to address some of the concerns now that we have for our operations budget knowing that in the years to come revenues are going to be down so I'd like to make a motion I'll make a motion to approve the Reallocation I'll second it any questions any other school districts doing this to Almost all that I've talked to are going to waive the protection for debt service. Yes
I will say the Homestead credit I told you was a new circuit breaker loss onto the traditional circuit breaker loss. It did add just under the expected loss is an additional $380,000. $380,000? $380,000. Any other questions? All right, please vote. Debt forgiveness. We are asking you to authorize the superintendent to forgive outstanding student fee debts under the following conditions. Condition number one, fee balances of less than $25 associated with students that are free to use lunch and or students who are no longer enrolled at Western Corporation. And then condition number two is outstanding fee balances from the 25-26 school year for students identified as free to use lunch. specifically where the balances resulted from our logistical charges, our communication charges, and our non-curricular fees. I'll make a motion to approve the debt forgiveness. Second. Okay.
Are there any questions? All right. Please vote. All right. Approval of Kinnam Incorporated Debt Recovery and Collections Service Agreement. So first some context is I think the board is well aware if we put it out well we use Trex to get some of our outstanding debts of which it has been very successful. Just in this last year we have collected $22,599. I take that back. We've collected $10,733 through the Trex system. However However, when we notified families that we were using TREX, we've had that first number I gave, $22,590 paid into students' debts. So you total that up, you're looking at $32,000, $33,000 that we've been able to collect. But still, what we are owed at this point in time, when you add it up, is $101,760.22. We feel we've gotten to a point where
we need a new part, a new tier to our collection efforts. If you consider tier one, us notifying families and asking them to pay their debts. Tier two would be the treks. Tier three would be our partnership with Kenham Collections that we're seeking approval for today. The implementation of this plan would begin in August of this year. where account balances that are greater than $250 would be turned over to Kinnum to lead the collections thereof. They would do so in a two-phased approach. The first phase would be to automate the debtors that they owe and that they need to make payments directly to Western Corporation. For this effort, they'll send out three notifications. They charge $6 per family. Estimation of the cost of this would be $750 to $1,000 on our part. Phase two is
more of the heavy-handed approach. And what we don't, what they are able to collect in phase one, we have the autonomy to determine, all right, these ones are going into phase two. These ones will hold back and use our own internal efforts. But in phase two, they will directly contact, talk to, try to work out a payment plan to those that owe. The commission structure for this, because again, it is more of a heavy-handed approach on their part, if what they collect is less than a year old, they retain 35%. If what they collect is over a year old, they retain 50%. We're asking for your approval again for this partnership. Is there a motion? I'll make a motion to approve the request. One second. Questions? Can we go after their, like, tax refund? That's
what TREX does. Okay, that's why I was making sure here. That's exactly what TREX does. But if there's not a refund, or the refund is used for something else, then that's what, this is that next step. So on this one specifically here for the Keenum, does it? Like, are there other units out there? I know it takes 35% of less than a year, 50% greater than a year in terms of commission. But is there, like, any other service besides that that takes less? I was just curious. I don't know. So I talked to different providers, and I thought theirs was the most ethical approach. I thought the fees were similar. I think there was one that was a little bit less, but that particular company didn't have much of a footprint in Indiana, where Kenham
is used by a lot of local school districts, especially in central Indiana. So the comfort level with them and that I could talk to Indiana schools and them have a good rapport with them outweighed any less of a fee that we pay. Okay. Thanks. Yeah. So do we have so will we notify people that they're about to be turned over to a collection agency? We we've notified them several times asking them to pay when we upload them to the trek system We notify them of that And then once there's a what they call a match there's a notification again. So at this point in time they've been notified Half dozen times and what I'd argue per year As far as notifying them prior to, I'd argue that's what that first phase is. The first phase
that Kinnum is doing is notifying, hey, the school's done it, now it's being turned over to us, and these are the professionals, and they've got the statistics to say that when it comes from them, it does carry a little bit more weight. I'm just thinking if you give them one more notification and they pay, we save the 35%. That's just $6. That notification is just $6 of the total on that notification. That first tier is just the 35% is after they do the three communications, then it goes to 35 or 50%. The first phase is marked detailed as very minimal. Like Kyle estimated that it would be maybe $1,000 total for the school district to pay for that notification, that first tier of notification, $6. So do we still use TREX at the beginning and
then we go to, if that doesn't work, we go to the KINM? Yeah, it's a three-phased, three-tiered approach, the first tier being us notifying them, the vast majority. pay when we do this. The second tier would be Trex and then the third tier would be Kenham. I will say to give you an idea of what we are collecting of the fees from the 25, 26 school year, we had about a 62% collection rate. So there's a significant portion that is falling through the cracks and not getting paid. Any other questions? All right, please vote. All right, the 2026, 27. School year cost per student. Last thing, and then I'll be quiet. This is asking for a renewal of the fees that we've done for the last three or four years now. No changes from the
previous year other than updating our amounts. As I'll remind you, we grouped the fees into three categories, the first being logistical services, the second being non-curricular supplies, i.e., paper. and the third being communication management. And within the request for approval, you can see the breakdown of what falls under each of these. If we look at the charges per building there at the bottom of the page, you'll see that logistic services for each of the three buildings I'm grouping primary and intermediate together within this is $8. Non-curricular supplies, again, that's going to be paper. K-5 is $13, 6-8, $5, and then the high school is $7. The primary intermediate school kids use more papers. The reason for that is you can probably figure. Communication management is going to be $42 for K-5 and $42 for the
high school, $45 at the middle school. The per student total, then, of what we could ask for is $64 at the elementary, $58 at the middle school, and then $57 for the high school. However, again, we feel that it is prudent to make an adjustment. That adjustment will be minus $9 elementary, minus $3 the middle school, and then $2 at the high school, bringing the total fee to $55, which is bringing over exactly what we asked for and charged last year. Is there a motion? I make a motion to approve. I'll second it. Any questions? Okay. Please vote. Okay. Reading plans. Yes, thank you. I'll take care of that. Uh, Ms. Newby, um, presented to the board tonight are the reading plans for primary, intermediate and middle school. High school is not required to submit
one. Um, again, these are around this time of year, um, is when we usually submit these. Um, it's a plan that we send to the states usually in jot form. Um, and it really just says, okay, what are we using as our reading plans? What curriculum are we using and how are we helping our students who might be falling through the cracks? So I wanted to submit that to you. Those plans are due, I believe, June 30th, pending your questions. Do we want to do these all together? Okay. Is there a motion? I'll make a motion to approve the reading plans. Second. Are there any questions? I had a question, Barrett. I saw in the primary that there was a committee that decided on the reading plan. Do the teachers also get to have a
say in that, who are not on the committee? Is it the same in the intermediate and middle school? OK. Any other questions? OK. Please vote. All right. Chair Stephanie Sharp. 2026-27, vendor recommendations for food services. Trustee David Lindstrom. So from Mr. Lazar's office, we are asking that the food service vendor come from Wabash Valley Education Center for their dairy products, and the cooperative purchasing is through the Northern Indiana Education Center. So asking for your approval on our vendor. Chair Stephanie Sharp. Okay. Is there a motion? i'll make a motion to approve i'll second it any questions all right please vote 26 27 meal cost per student so again for mr lazar's office we are asking for a 15 cent increase for all food item or the elementary and middle school or secondary lunch and breakfast
as well as the adult lunch and breakfast prices, a 15 cent increase. Okay. Do I have a motion? So moved. Second. Any questions? 15 cents, not bad for a cost of living. Please vote. All right. Student Wellness Policy. And again, from Mr. Lazar's office, there is a recommendation that there are no changes necessary to the Wellness Policy. Second? I'll second. Any questions? Please vote. Getting all kinds of screens over here. Are you sure you can vote that? Me? Okay. Motion carried. Okay. Thank you. All right, the 2026-27 student parent handbook addendums. So the handbooks were approved last month, but there was a question about recess with the primary school. That was removed from that section on TARDIS. to remove that and then as well the pcds or personal communication devices were also added into their
handbooks as well so asking for your approval to those addendums so we're doing the primary and intermediate together yeah we can do it all at once okay that's fine with me second any questions okay please vote all right the 2627 substitute teacher handbook We can do both of them at the same time. And the high ability program manual. So we have a number of handbooks that you're going to see either this month, next month. One of the things that we are doing is in the support staff handbook, we are working on moving the maintenance custodial information into that support staff handbook and also the transportation into that handbook as well. We're going to have. we're going to create an appendix for those job specific roles, but all of the overarching support staff stuff is the
same. So you're going to see that next month. But this month we have the substitute teacher handbook and the high ability program manual for your approval. Is there a motion? I'll make a motion to approve the handbooks. I'll second it. Questions? When are these handbooks given out to the substitute teachers? So Mr. Bates gets to meet with them at the beginning of the year, and he does a training with them. And then also if we have people mid-year, they're given a handbook, and we review that handbook with them as they come in. There's a lot in there. All right. Any other questions? All right. Please vote. All right. Overnight field trip requests. Asking your approval for the field trip requests presented. So move. Is there a second? I'll second. Questions? That welding camp looks fun.
All right. Please vote. Okay. Memo of Understanding Teacher Residency Grant. So we have two MOUs here. And the Head Start program. The teacher residency grant. That actually IU is reviewing. They believe that the date is incorrect. So they are going to send 26-27 instead of 25-26. So they'll send me an updated version of that. But it'll be the same language, just different date. And then also the Head Start program, we have an in-kind. agreement with Kokomo schools and I know Barrett has those numbers so if you want to share those numbers of in-kind costs that we donate. Absolutely. So they break it down into two semesters, and what happens is we submit to Head Start the prices that we have for our employees. For the first semester, that would be $22,013.82, and the second semester
would be $23,023.23, and the price difference is just we have... different days in the semester, so that's why the price difference per semester. So asking for your approval for those two MOUs. So moved. Second. All right, any questions? How many teacher residents are we, is it? We have approval for three, but I believe we're only going to have two. And will they be in what buildings? Intermediate and primary. We don't get very many secondary residents. Other questions? Donations? asking for your approval of the generous donation to the invest program from the Hamburg foundation of $3,000. So moved. Second questions, please vote. Our favorite Neola board policies. So for your reading enjoyment. Um, so there's kind of three tiers here, three groupings. We have our Neola policy first reads. for just your information. Then we have
first read that we will do approvals for, and we can do approvals for technical corrections and also things that are deemed as an urgent or important policy. And so that one policy that's not a technical correction would be the policy on PCDs or personal communication devices. So that is the one policy that's new. that would be approved tonight, pending your approval. And then there is a special update that just came out like Tuesday. And so that is a special update on artificial intelligence, and that is information only as well, first read. So again, the overview for volume 38. Number two is for information only, we pulled out all the technical corrections and the PCD policy for your approval tonight. And then there is a special update, artificial intelligence, that is for your information only first
read. So asking for your approval for the PCD policy and technical corrections. So this is for the first read? And approval, the one we're first reading and approving. So those policies here, so where it says overview and comments of policy 166201, policy 3121, policy 336201, policy 436201, policy 5111. policy 51 36 policy 51 36 01 policy 53 10 Those are all for approval tonight. Okay, we'd like to make a motion Discussion questions Any other questions So as I understand it, the box that we checked for the PCDs is that they are prohibited during the school day but allowed during after school activities. That is correct. Which means also the bus too. That is correct. We didn't feel like it was a good idea to have bus drivers trying to monitor cell phone use while they're
driving. And then also just like after school activities, I mean, that's... It's a Friday night basketball game, and I don't want our people to have to monitor or police that. Any other questions? All right, please vote. Do we don't have to vote for the first reader? The others are just for your information. Just information. Okay. All right, good. We are at personnel. Would ask that you approve the recommendations for personnel as well as what was amended at tonight's agenda. So moved. Second. Are there any questions or comments, discussion? Could we introduce those who are in? They have to be approved first. We have to approve them first. And then we'll introduce them. We've got to make sure it's official. Okay. All right, please vote. Okay, now it's official. So first we have Hayden Shepard here
in the front row as our new wrestling coach. So congratulations and welcome back, Hayden. It's in the blood, isn't it? And then also we have Chaz Gabriel with his family here. Chaz is our new assistant principal at Western Intermediate School. And I don't think I'm missing anybody else. Okay. Yeah, so welcome aboard to both of you, and thanks for coming tonight. Thank you. All right, professional development. Just asking for your approval of the professional development presented. So moved. Second. Questions? All right, please vote. Motion carried. All right, thank you. Roundtable. Joey, you want to start? Jazz, congratulations. Hayden, congratulations. We've got a lot of exciting things going on right now during the summer. Knock on wood, it all gets completed before school resumes, pending weather. But no, I just want to say welcome. I didn't
know which way you were going. Oh, Scott? Yeah, yeah, exactly. Welcome to everybody, and hope you guys have a great summer. Ditto, but really have a great summer. I think it's a well-deserved break. Well, welcome, Mr. Gabriel, Mr. Shepherd. So this may be a record crowd at the end of the meeting. We always start out big, but we usually end up with about three. That's why we did it all at the end. Okay. Well, I also would like to welcome you, both of you, Hayden and Mr. Gabriel, and also congratulations to our music award winners and our welders and our state champion. Make a motion to adjourn the meeting. I'll second it. All right. Please vote, unless anyone has any discussion over it. I've forgotten that. Send them there to vote, sorry. Okay. And then
we do have a document to sign. Okay. All right. Meeting is adjourned.
