final exams and retune to your CIFR are those involved back in the year. So we also highly encourage everyone to continue attending their review academies for these end of the year assessments because they're highly important. Now, coming from a totally non-biased and a non-senior source, that's what's all about seniors and excited next couple of days and weeks. Next Tuesday the 9th, we have our Senior Clap Battle, which is a wonderful tradition where our seniors go down to the harbor and elementary schools, so that's amazing. Then next Wednesday the 10th, we have Senior Prom at the Bethpage Heritage Club, so that's always an incredible event for everyone, the students, staff, chaperones, and also the administration. And then to end it all off on Friday, June 12th at 6pm is Seaford's graduation and commencement. So it's such

a busy yet exciting time of the year, just the way we like it. And then I would also like to give a shout out to all of Seaford's employees getting tenured this year, and also all of our new retirees. It's such an amazing accomplishment, so congratulations to everyone. And that does wrap up my student report for today, but I do have one more thing I'd like to say. I won't be able to make the June 17th meeting as Ms. Herbert said, so today's my last. And I want to thank Dr. Pecora and all the administration and also Ms. Lisa Herbert and all the trustees for being such great role models for me and being so welcoming. I truly learned so much this year and my experience serving the guys on the board has been nothing

but incredible. So I want to give you all a heartfelt thank you for an amazing year, so thank you. and you all helped shape me to become the man I am today. So thank you and have a great evening. First we're going to turn to Dr. McCord for the administrative report which is the retirement and tenure recognition. ...to create environments where we have students like Matt that in my mind are so exceptional and I couldn't have said it any more eloquently than that. Why we do what we do is that we provide opportunities for our students to excel and soar. as you had just seen in Matt's presentation. So it is my thrill and honor to recognize the retirees who have done so much for our district, both collegiately and for our students and families

and community. And then also to welcome our future Vikings forever and those that are getting tenure tonight. So it is my great honor to introduce Dr. Sheena Jacob, who will be our master of ceremonies today. Good evening members of the Board of Education, Dr. Korn, our Superintendent of Schools, faculty, staff, distinguished guests, and members of the Seaford community. Welcome to the 2026 Retirement and Tenure Recognition Night. Tonight we gather together as a Seaford community to celebrate the extraordinary individuals whose dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment have made a lasting impact on our lives and students and throughout the district. This evening provides us with the opportunity to recognize and honor the accomplishments and service of our outstanding educators, staff members, and administrators who continuously inspire excellence within our schools. Through their hard work, leadership, and care,

they have helped shape not only academic success, but also a strong sense of community, pride, and belonging that defines Seaford. As members of the Seaford Union Free School District, we first extend our deepest gratitude and recognition to our retirees, whose years of dedicated service, leadership, and commitment have left an enduring legacy that will continue to inspire and strengthen our schools for generations to come. We are also proud to recognize and celebrate those receiving tenure this evening. honoring their dedication, professionalism, and meaningful contributions to our students, families, colleagues, and the Seaford community. We are especially grateful to the families, friends, and loved ones joining us tonight. Your encouragement and support have played an important role in the success of these honorees, and we thank you all for being part of their special celebration. So to commence

our program, I am pleased to invite the Seaford High School chorus students under the direction of Ms. Yvonne Vendelowitz to perform Dancing Through Life proposed by Stephen Shorts from the musical Wicked as a thank you to our retiring faculty and staff members. It symbolizes the full from the excitement and promise of working in our schools to the wisdom and legacy we leave. Just as this crystal represents a true belief. honors the joy, the strength, and clarity you have brought to the lives of our students, colleagues, and our community. We thank you for your enduring contributions to the education and celebrate the profound impact you've made throughout the career. So congratulations and best wishes on your retirement. To begin our retirement recognition, I'm going to be calling the proud principal, Ms. Misilka, and assistant principal, Ms.

Tara Savage from the Harvard Elementary School. I'm really honored to stand here with Ms. Savage to speak on behalf of Ms. Anjana Mukherjee. Where are you? There's a quote that stands out to me when I think of Anjana. When you have a child, it's like watching your heart walk outside your body. And that is exactly how Ms. M treats her students every single day. She loves them fiercely, supports them unconditionally, and believes in them even before they believed in themselves. As an E&L teacher, she didn't just teach language. She gives students confidence, voice, and a true sense of belonging. Her classroom is a place where every child feels seen, valued, and safe. That kind of love and dedication cannot be taught. It comes from who she is at her core. Ms. M, thank you for

sharing your heart with so many, and we wish your retirement filled with the same joy you brought to others. Next is Dave Amarada. Tonight we celebrate Mr. Dave Amorata, a truly special member of the Harvard School family. To our students, he's simply Mr. Dave, a familiar face who greets everyone with a smile and a kind word. His caring nature and genuine love for our school could be felt in every hallway that he walked. Whether it was lending a helping hand, fixing what was broken, or brightening someone's day, Mr. Dave was always there. He took great pride in his work and even greater pride in the community he helped care for. It's the little moments, his warm greetings, or his willingness to help that made such a difference. Mr. Dave, thank you for all you have

given to the harbor. We wish you a retirement filled with happiness, days spent on the boat, and all the smiles you've shared with us. Come on up, Dave. For the harbor this evening, I am proud to honor Peggy Giramonte right over here. For our amazing teacher aides. So today we celebrate Peggy, a valued member of the Harvard School community. Peggy's warm and caring nature has made a lasting impression on everyone she has worked with. She has always put students first, ensuring they feel supported, comfortable, and ready to learn. Her kindness and patience created a space where children can truly thrive. Peggy is also someone who brings positivity wherever she goes, always greeting others with a friendly smile. Peggy, thank you for your dedication and heart. We wish you a retirement filled with happiness, relaxation, and

all the joy you have given to others. What's the difference in height right there? Okay, so please welcome Principal Joanne Krodus, Assistant Principal Mr. Rich Shorts, Director of Physical Education and Athletics Mr. Kevin Witt, and our Assistant Director of PPS and Elementary, Dr. Dana Battaglia, to honor your retirees from Matt Elementary School. Good evening, everyone. Today we celebrate John Berry, our very own Batman, whose impact on our school extends far beyond numbers and equations. Mr. Berry has been an educator in Teper for 23 years. Throughout his career, John witnessed and embraced more changes in education than most, adapting to new initiatives, learning new curricula, and implementing them with confidence and professionalism, all while wearing a smile on his face. His kindness, patience, and unwavering dedication to students have left a lasting impression on everyone around

him. It's been such a pleasure to work with him. While we all, while we will certainly miss his expertise, his positive attitude, and his steady presence, we may miss those Met's opening day hot dogs the most. John, thank you for everything you have given to our students, staff, and school community who will truly need this. And friends to those she worked alongside for 36 years. Anne-Marie's dedication to her profession inspires everyone around her to be better. She leads with remarkable patience and compassion, always treating her students with kindness and respect. She has a special gift for making every child feel safe, valued, and loved, caring for them as if they were her own. Amerine, you will be deeply missed, but your impact will be felt for years to come. You could not be here tonight.

We celebrate Maura Codlin. Maura has been an educator here in Seaford for 38 years. She has been a champion for teachers, a tireless advocate for students, and a respected member of our community who is admired by all who know her. While we are grateful for all she has given, there is no doubt that she leaves behind very big shoes to fill. Good evening everybody. Congratulations to everybody receiving tenure tonight and all of our retirees. I'm here to talk about Ms. Diane Dunn. Give us a little bit of a round of applause. So Ms. Thun has been teaching here at C3 for 30 years, primarily at the Manor Elementary School with a little sprinkle here in the high school and the middle school, you know, here and there throughout her career. Early in her career, she

was a coach, and she has been serving as a club advisor basically her entire career here. So great job all the way around. Miss Dunn is an unbelievable, she's unbelievable at juggling. The kids, every single kid who asks me about her juggling skills, it's tremendous. She is also a very, very good pickleball player. And she will challenge basically anybody in the district. And then the last thing that surprised me. was her ability to climb the entire rope, you know, up and down, during the PE demonstration show. So she was really showing her true athleticism there, all the way around. But Miss Dunn did a fantastic job throughout her career, making a classroom where it was a place where kids felt comfortable, included, motivated, and proud of themselves, which is critical for some youngsters in a

PE setting. Miss Dunn was always the go-to person for big events such as field day, PE demonstrations, Board of Classic, after-school clubs, and facilitating competitive tournaments during recess. Miss Dunn was always great at ordering equipment, getting grants. I don't think there's a district, elementary district in Nassau County that has more PE equipment than the Manor. Just go into those closets. And then lastly, what didn't surprise me whatsoever is we had a new 8 to 1 class and you know, it's severely special needs students who were limited in a lot of ways and it was new to all of us and you know, Diane just took that challenge and ran with it. She really was so prepared and she gave those kids such a great learning experience and you know That was just a testament to

the kind of worker she was and the kind of educator she was. So, Ms. Dunn, enjoy the next chapter in your life, spending quality time with the family and friends on your boat. Great career, well-deserved. Come on up. My name is Dana Battaglia, and I have the great honor and privilege to say a few words about Lisa Gardin. Take a breath. It has been a privilege. to walk alongside this journey with you from the very beginning of our careers, right? When we shared our suite together. Watching that incredible impact that you have made on your students and the profession over the years has just been a privilege and an honor and a joy. From day one, you brought not only dedication and professionalism, but this incredible sense of humor, right? That could brighten up even

the busiest and most challenging of days. So thank you for being here. Lisa has a unique way of making people feel supported, valued, connected. And that presence will truly be missed by colleagues, students, and the entire community. I personally am so grateful for the years of friendship, the laughter, the service, and the entire Sechert community wishes nothing but happiness in your next chapter. And enjoy those grandbabies. Come on up. This is not so when working with children. The impact of our work is observable day to day, often period to period. Each of the teachers have witnessed the maturation of the programs they helped create, students they taught, and colleagues they helped develop. Each can see the legacy they leave behind, and we can concretely say that their legacy will live on once they are on

a beach somewhere, relaxing, enjoying life, teaching, teaching in halls, everything, all the cool stuff we've heard about. So, um, let's begin. Ms. Marie Dolan. So, uh, Ms. Dolan is a constant source of, you know, Ms. Dolan is a constant source of knowledge, care, and dedication, kindness, and has a Ms. Dolan's legacy as a mere student council, class cup, activity night. She's involved with almost every student activity and event and touched the lives of literally thousands of super... So, Ms. Dolan was our first American Legion Teacher of the Year winner for Mr. Plutio 9, and she has set the bar high. She's established what it means to be excellent. She's established what it means to be a benchmark. And every year we're going to hold everyone against that. So, Merlin, congratulations. Mr. Daniel Hayden. Hayden is

a giant in the social science. He has to base the minds and imaginations of his students. When speaking about early American history, he reminds us all of how teachers make students fall in love with the subject. Sitting in this class reminds me personally of why I became a social science teacher. Mr. Hayden is a teacher who can tell a story about times past and make you sit on the edge of your seat with fascination and attention. As Ms. Dolan's counterpart in all things from middle school, Mr. Hayden's legacy will give someone who worked tirelessly to provide opportunities for students to grow and possibly impact. But it seems like the legacy behind that is impossible to properly measure. How do you describe appropriately and correctly the character of a teacher who takes it upon themselves to

be the in-school mom for every single one of their children? How can you accurately describe the impact of a teacher who articulates to her students each day that they are cared for deeply? Ms. Floyd leaves a legacy behind at Seaford Middle School that includes one of the most impressive career days on the island. But even more so is the love of reading and literature she has fostered in thousands of students over the course of her career. Congratulations, Karen. And finally, Mr. Maniscalco. So Mr. Maniscalco has spent his career turning our students into scientists. As one of the first teachers that many of our sixth graders can take an exploratory with, Mr. Mann captures the imagination, interest, and creativity of young minds in fun with science. Half his time, we hear students describe his class as

truly amazing. This passion with science grows throughout their middle school experience, where in eighth grade, students have the opportunity once again to learn with Mr. Mann in his biology class. Mr. Metascalk leaves a rich legacy behind with his work in driver's ed, his love for the middle school greenhouse, and the strong foundation he provides for all three of his scientists. Congratulations, Frank. Congratulations to our musical fam. Principal team, Principal Miss Nicole Stable, Miss Melanie Judson, assistant principals, and Mr. Alex Bainside. Thank you everyone for joining us here this evening. We want to say a few words about Ms. Lauren Thompson who unfortunately isn't here tonight, right? So I'm going to make sure she's not here. Okay. We wanted to share something very special about Lauren and we encourage you all to check it out if

you have the opportunity. I'm sure it will still be set up for another few weeks. Ms. Thompson has a beautiful wall of letters posted in her classroom and it's something very special and I encourage all of our teachers. to take this opportunity when you do have a student write you a letter which is the greatest gift you can ever give a teacher. For those of you who are still students in the room or even a family member, please feel free to send letters to your children's teachers. She has a beautiful wall of these letters posted in her room and it's a wonderful reminder as an educator to walk in and to remember the impact that you might have on students every single day. But also it's very inspiring to other students to see the incredible

impact that a teacher has had on the generations before you. So we wanted to share this letter with you. I thought this was incredibly impactful. Dear Ms. Thompson, I've tried writing your letter more times than I can count. And then I realized there's no way that I can completely put into words how thankful I am for all that you have done for me. You truly were my favorite teacher and you've taught me so much more than just computer science. I don't know how or exactly when it happened, but going to your class felt like coming home. Thank you so much for always pushing me to try hard and do my best. If any other teacher taught computer science, I probably would have never gone back after the first day. I love how you manage to

get me to even enjoy computer science sometimes, although I'll never admit that in class. Thank you for having faith not only in my academics, but as a leader. I'm so grateful for the officer positions you've given me in clubs. They help me be a more well-rounded person. I will never forget our cold talks and the crazy chaos of an otherwise all-guy class. You always have just the right advice, or food, for me. I'm really going to miss not seeing you every day next year, but I will definitely visit each and every time. And thank you. So that's all there is to it. recognize two individuals from our security guards, James O'Connell and Thomas Lively. They're not here with us but they are retiring from the Seaford School District so if they're seeing and watching you

know we thank you and we appreciate all your work and dedication to our district so congratulations on your retirement. Now I would like to call Ms. Mary-Kathryn Colella-Sun, our Executive Director of Student Support Services, our two Assistant Directors for PPS Elementary and Secondary, Ms. Jeannie Hermel, Dr. Dana Battaglia, to recognize our next retiree. I have the distinct pleasure of honoring Dr. Andrea Cantor this evening. And I'm going to try to keep it together. So today we gather to celebrate an extraordinary career and even a more extraordinary person. Throughout the years, Dr. Cantor has worn many hats in our district, beginning as an elementary school psychologist and later serving as a CPSC CSE chairperson. But in every role, one thing remained constant, a deep commitment to children, to families, and her colleagues. As a school psychologist,

Dr. Cantor was often the steady hand and compassionate heart that students and families needed during some of their most challenging moments. With wisdom, patience, and unwavering professionalism, she helped countless children find pathways to success and their confidence. When Dr. Cantor transitioned into the role of CPSC CSE Chairperson, that same dedication only grew. She became an advocate, a leader, and a trusted guide for families and staff alike. Meetings were never just meetings to Dr. Cantor. They were opportunities to ensure every child received the support, understanding, and opportunities they so deserved. But while Dr. Cantor's professional accomplishments are impressive, what many of us will remember most is the person behind any of her types. She brought kindness into every conversation, grace into every challenge, and genuine care into every relationship. Dr. Cantor has been the colleague who

listened, the mentor who has guided, the friend who encouraged, and the leader who inspires. The impact of a career like this cannot be measured in her years alone. It is measured in the lives changed. the students that she supported, the families that she has comforted, and the colleagues that she makes better every day by being able to work alongside her. As you begin this well-earned retirement, please know that your legacy will continue to live throughout this district. The systems you've strengthened, the people that you've mentored, the countless lives you've touched are a lasting testament to your remarkable career. On behalf of all of us, thank you for your dedication, your compassion, and your friendship. We wish you joy, adventure, relaxation, many, many more marathons, and every happiness in the next chapter of your life. Congratulations

on your entrance. yet you stepped into this position with joy, poise, and gratitude. Your dedication to bringing the student body's perspective to our discussions has been valuable and appreciated. You truly embody the spirit of a Seaford Viking and stand as an exemplary Seaford scholar. As you close this chapter and embark on your next journey, we look forward to witnessing all that you will accomplish. We have no doubt that you will continue to achieve great things and will continue to make your family and the entire Seaford community immensely proud. However, we also thought that it would be very nice to give you some Seaford merch so that you never forget that you're a Viking through and through always. This was the one time that Amazon did not deliver when they were supposed to deliver. But, so

there's a two-part gift, which I'll give you. But we also want to celebrate where you're going to. So in here, we do have a Richmond hat. It's on its way. Because Matt does have a full scholarship to the University of Michigan. Everything that Lisa said, I would say double and triple are my experiences with Matt. Some of the best parts of my year this year have been on 145 meetings on Monday before board meetings where we've had very meaningful conversations. When I was growing up, my father used to say to me that if you are really great, you don't need to tell anybody how good you are. They will tell you. So I think by the round of applause everybody's telling you how great you are because you were the most humble Individuals I've had

the good fortune of knowing so congratulations Those retirees that recognize this, we're going to ask you to come up on stage for a big little shoot. Okay, one picture. So all our retirees just come up and we're asking for the Board of Education as well to do a group shot. It is well deserved milestone and a proud moment for each of you, as well as for all of us who have the privilege to working alongside you. As my first hiring class, this tenure class, this recognition makes me especially proud. And it's truly rewarding to watch your growth, leadership, and positive impact throughout our district. You know, I always say to all of you, I'm rooting for you in the corner. I watch you come in with your first resume and cover letter in. And this

entire hiring process, we become family. And then that family becomes like a mama bear protecting you, but can't really protect you in front of the public. And then you call me up and you tell me certain things and we kind of guide you in the right direction. So just receiving tenure, you don't understand how proud I am for all of you just to get this accomplishment. So for tonight, each of you will receive this green apple. May this apple serve as a symbol of your continued journey here in Seaford. We have our Seaford Pride Green Collar Apple. It represents growth, strength, and the strong foundation you have built within our schools and community. but it'll also serve as a reminder of this enduring Seaford Viking spirit that embodies each of you through your dedication, your

resilience, your commitment to our students, and that you'll continue to inspire in the years ahead. Congratulations and thank you for your commitment and excellence in education. To begin our ceremonies, we're gonna invite Dr. Pecora and our superintendent of schools to introduce our first attendee. I'm very honored to speak about Ms. Visoka. Silke began her career in 2017, October 2017. I was a new superintendent and she was my second administrator that I hired, the first being the dynamic duo for several years together. Those two are honestly two of the best decisions that I've made in my career. So, I'm very pleased. So over the last nine years she's been an administrator in three out of our four buildings I don't think you're gonna make it to four out of four because I don't think anybody's gonna

let you leave the parker and What I want to say about Jen is that when she has a vision she actualizes it so It was around year two of her being an assistant principal at the high school And I said to her, well, what are your career aspirations? What do you want to be when you grow up? And she looked at me and she said, I want to work with the little ones. I want to be an elementary principal. And I said, well, Jen, we have some work to do then. And the position of assistant principal opened up at the middle school. And I looked at Jen and Jen looked at me and said, are we going to do this? And she did a phenomenal job building literacy programs, earning the trust and the respect

of middle school teachers, worked side by side with Dan Smith, and then the position that Barbara opened up. And Jen was by far the strongest candidate for the position. And I have the honor of saying that you have been an exceptional principal. And we are very excited to honor you tonight because you entered this position with mostly secondary educational experience. And I can honestly say that you were a risk taker. Through the pure grit and resilience, she was able to ascend a very steep learning curve of elementary teaching and instruction. She spent time building relationships with her teachers, students, and families while humbly learning the curriculum alongside faculty and staff. Over the last two years, she has cultivated partnership with her assistant principal, Ms. Harris-Effig. And as a principal, she has strengthened instructional programs and

improved communication systems and structures at the Harbor School. Ms. Basilka has been a leader deeply committed to modeling continuous learning. Ms. Basilka is a model, secret scholar, who happens to be the principal of the Seaford-Marver Elementary School. It is my honor to recommend you for time. Congratulations. Okay, so we are going to invite all of the administrative audience to the stage to take a picture with Ms. Basilka. And members of the Board of Education, please. You guys have more answers? You want to put it down? No, let's get a show on the internet. Ready? You have to roll that book off. Thank you. So now we welcome our manner principal, Ms. Joanne Curtis, and our assistant principal, Mr. Richard. Tonight, we have the pleasure of recognizing Alexandra Draco. Since joining our school community, Alice has

consistently demonstrated professionalism, dedication, and unwavering commitment to her students. There is a maturity about her that sometimes I forget how young she is and when I make a reference to a song or a movie she just gives me that stare and I'm like, oh yeah, I have no idea what I'm talking about. But then she comes to a meeting and she's just dynamic. She's one of the strongest advocates I have ever seen. She's got to show support for her students, encouragement, and opportunities that they need to succeed. It's always about her putting her children first. Beyond her work in the classroom, Alex is a valued collaborator who builds positive relationships with colleagues and contributes meaningfully to our school community. She actively participates in numerous school-wide initiatives and committees, including the Abilities Awareness Advisory Committee, Shared

Decision Making Committee, and the Sunshine Committee. Of course, she has to bring the sunshine. She also supported community engagement efforts including the PTA special education inclusivity session hoping to strengthen partnerships between home and school. Alex's passion for education, commitment to inclusion, and willingness to work collaboratively made her a tremendous asset to CFER. We are grateful for her contributions and look forward to the positive impact she will continue to have. on our students, staff, and families for years to come. Congratulations, Alex, on this well-deserved. Alex Drago is a triplet, and they look exactly alike. So I'm going to save Dan Vietor for this one. He's going to be a charity shop. From our middle school, Dr. Rafa Mori, Assistant Principal, Mr. Joe Palletti. We have our principal coordinators as well, Dr. Nicole Colallo and Mr. Hannah

De Palma. and also Miss Mary Taffer, who brought us on, and Miss Jamie, her mom. Hello, guys. So if you're wondering, did I bake fresh cookies for all the 10-year-old people? Yeah, I did. I dared Mr. Fleek to eat one right now. They're delicious. I do want to say they're the brown butter dark chocolate. I've made them a couple times. I think I perfected them on this batch. So, yeah, pass it around. See if you're going to enjoy it. They're really good. They are. I made three last night. Alright, so it truly is an honor to talk about our four ten-year recipients today. So, to start, in Hebrew, there's a word. It's neshama. So neshama means soul. So, going back to Beshamon, Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, there's never a greater honor than like... The old grandma

coming up to the parents and being like, oh, your boy has a good nashama. Better than bench, right? This is like the highest. And like, even when I was a kid, like when you heard someone give that compliment, you were like, oh, that's meaningful, right? Because like they're actually talking to the character person. I haven't been to Shumai just to be honest, I'm trying to get it out. But it's something that always stuck with me. So anyway, recently I've been really thinking about that concept, having a good soul, and it's a word I reflected on, because I believe that occasionally you do meet people whose soul you can clearly see. You meet someone and you're like, oh yeah, that is clearly, you know who that person is, their soul shines through. Their character, convictions, and

personalities shine so bright that you immediately know who they are, what they stand for, and what they believe in. Each of the four 10-year recipients has a strong to show tonight. A character conviction that makes them an incredible teacher, a supportive colleague, and a community member that enriches the lives of everyone they interact with. So it's my pleasure to first speak about Miss Megan Garrett. I think Hades is misunderstood, so whatever, that's him. Anyway, I'll go into more. But in the PPS department, Ms. Harrington's alter ego is Moana. So like her namesake, Meg is brave, she's an example for others, and she's a community builder. She holds deep empathy for others that drives her work and is a cornerstone for the passion she brings to her position every single day. As a CFIR graduate, Ms.

Harrington brings with her the historical perspective of what it means to be a CFIR Viking and uses this background to build strong relationships with her students and families. We are incredibly lucky to have her as a permanent member of the middle school family and incredibly happy to recommend her for tenure. Congratulations. We have had so many incredible leaders in this district and our peers in life. Thank you so much. I just didn't want to miss out on anything. Third, there's not enough I could say about Gemma Sulkin. I just feel like I need to take the opportunity to say, Principalship is not for the faint of heart. We have been on this incredible, wild journey for almost nine years. We speak to each other every single day. If we don't, we're very upset with one

another. Our families are family now. be able to do that with someone that you call your best friend is an absolute blessing. So thank you and I love you and I love your family. We are so excited and welcome members to the Secret High School Permanent Family of Forever Vikings. I do have to say this, as a parent I am the worst nightmare a teacher could ever have. If you were to have my son, I am in your worst nightmare. I set a bar that is so incredibly high and many of you in this room may have even heard me speak to my son's teachers. It's a horrible experience for them. I am not proud of the way that I feel when my son does not get the treatment that a Seifert teacher would give

them. And that is truly how I feel from the bottom of my heart. I hold my son's teachers to the standard that these teachers here in this room hold themselves to. They give themselves to their students at the highest expectation, and that is what I expect for my son. And he doesn't always get that, so it's very hard for me because I just don't understand how teachers could not be what the teachers are here in this district. So that being said, the teachers that are receiving Daniel this evening... I'm sure throughout the teacher, but particularly in C-Prize, are all teachers that I would want my son to be in their classes. And that is saying a lot. That is why I preface this by insulting myself. But that is the reality because I know that

I'm a beast. So I'm going to start with Alex Becker, who is truly a kid master. From Mr. Becker's passion for special education to his participation on the Seabird Scholars Committee, if anyone got to watch him be Steve Harvey, in the family feud, it was truly a treat. He is incredible. To coaching student athletes, Mr. Becker's genuine ability to create meaningful connections has made him a valued member of the PPS department and the Seabird family. Mr. Becker, your impact reaches far beyond academics. We are grateful for the positive difference that you make in the lives of our students every day and congratulations on this well-deserved achievement.
