Guys, it's 5.01. We'll call this meeting to order. We'll start with the Pledge of Allegiance. The Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. We have a special guest, so we're going to say the robotics in the tree. That's us. So Mr. Brown, I'm the coach mentor for the Crusader robotics team. We're at the end of our competition season. Our competition season involves a few month period. We start in January when we learn about the new challenge for the year. And then we go to two competitions, which are full weekend events. And so This is the Crusader robotics team and I will let them tell you a little bit about So our
first competition was in Bedford. So they will want to chime in. How did we do? We didn't get lost. We were in last place. So let's let me ask this question based on our performance at Bedford at Bedford High School in the Granite State What did we do as a result? We added a we changed the design of the robot and made it pick up faster. How did that work? It turned out a lot better and we were able to get into finals through this competition. So our last competition was actually just this past weekend at UVM and who wants to talk about how that went? We got 13th place out of 34. And then we got selected for an alliance. Made it two rounds. So what is, can anyone explain the alliance? How do
the alliances work? So basically what happens is that you will have 68 qualification matches. Not all the teams go into every single one, but you will be partnered with different teams throughout the qualification matches being able to put you in different rankings so you can build, the other teams can know how well your robot is. working that season. Based off of that you would have the top teams to be able to pick their alliances to pick the three or two other robots that they want to be on their team to best suit their purposes. The higher you are the more likely you are being picked and you're able to be picked on the last alliance which is a really sort of a benchmark competition for the team. This was the first time we made it
into the finals. And, you know, the students you see in front of you, most of them are eighth graders, ninth grade, one senior, and one seventh grader. And they're going up against teams that are, you know, 30 or 40 students from, you know, big high schools in places like the Lakes region, Connecticut, you name it, that have... you know, substantial amount of resources and we really held our own and, you know, I couldn't be more proud of these guys. It was really a phenomenal competition and they did amazing. So other things we're working on, we have been kind of collecting things because the whole... Robotics is not just about, I mean, it's a lot about the robot and going to competition. That's been our focus, but we're trying to branch out. I wonder if she
has sent you the link to our handbook. Did they send that to you? No? Okay. So we have a... It's over it's right there I think so one of the things we've been working on is taking all of our big ideas and everything and putting it into a handbook which is basically you know how our team runs and Trying to do all the things that you know a team would do with you know putting together mission and vision and core values and procedures and all that stuff and so A big part about this robotics organization is not just going to competition and competing with your robot, building a robot, but also how do you spread appreciation for STEM learning. So this weekend we have a huge event. It's our big outreach event here where we
partner with New Hampshire First and Wimsy and we're putting on the North Country Robotics Festival. So we'll be bringing in other teams from all over the state. They'll come in, do robotics demonstrations, and it'll be a whole day of STEM learning. There'll be different crafts and activities for kids to do. And it's not a fundraiser. It's just... For the purpose of sharing the joy of STEM learning we'll have you know five-year-olds driving our robot. It's a lot of fun So and these guys would be there volunteering and sharing their enthusiasm for everything that we do So and so we would like if you if you want to join us in the gym We'd like to do a short demonstration of our robot this year's game You want to explain a little bit about this year's
game? So this year's game basically we were taking six inch diameter foam balls and we are launching them up into a six foot tall hub almost. So you, the whole idea is that you have to pick up as many as you can and launch them. There's 500 of these things on the field at one time and there's like two sections. You have the red and blue side and then you have a neutral area. They're all in the neutral area. All the balls are in the neutral area. You have a bump that you can get over to be able to get a or a trench kind of that's what it's called which is only 22 inches from the ground which your height limit of your robot is 30. but you are taking that you'll only have
like 25 second periods that you can be able to actually launch the balls and it swaps in between the two teams and then the final 30 seconds it's whole positive so you can be able to be launching the balls. You have to launch them pretty precisely too. But it's a fun game, but it's... Quite challenging. Yeah. It's a lot of action and it goes fast. There's plenty of video online. We're not going to show one here, but you'll get the idea when you see the robot in action. But it's a lot of fun. So, you know, 500 yellow balls flying all over the place and it's a good time. And so these guys work within confines. Like they have to be, you know, They can't weigh more than 115 pounds, can't reach more than 30
inches, and they have to stay within these parameters and problem solve and really figure out how can we design a robot to be the best at this game within these confines. And just when you think you've got it, well, we've got to shorten this or lengthen that. So it's been a real challenging build season, but they've done a great job. Who talks to the judges? So this is one thing that we practice. I have been going to practices with them to drill this in. Who gets to talk to the judges? Our students. Does Mr. Founder, I get to talk to the judges? No. No. So what did you learn from that? You did a very good job at UVM on this. Can you explain what the judges are looking for? They're looking for more student-led
students that can. And then also outreach, right? So remember the different awards that we were going for? What's one of the examples of one of the awards you can get? Do you guys remember? Impact award. Okay, so that's a big one, right? That's the most prestigious award. And so there's a lot of work that you have to do for these. They all prepared well and it's you know, they they're in you never know when the judges are gonna show up We were about to go into a match and they came up and just showed up and he's like, oh, let's talk about your robot Before you go in, introduce yourself in grade level. Damien 8th grade. Gavin 8th grade. I think there really are. Yeah. Alright. Everybody ready for a demonstration? Alright. I think it
was neat to see. How Allison, when she was in here, I could hardly hear her talking, and it's a quiet room, but when she's in there excited about what she's talking about, like, just the energy and shyness level was, like, turned off. So we really worked with them. I mean, they're a young team, and worked with them about public speaking. So you go to those events, there's how many people in there? Al came this year. There's a lot, and the gym is packed with people. advocating. We did tours of the STEM at UVM. So they had a full tour of that STEM program. But we really worked hard at getting them to talk to people that do their public speaking because they know their role well. So I'm just glad that they spoke up there.
Yeah. You missed the best part. So we'll move on to number two, consent agenda. That? No, that's fine. You got your minutes. We have a motion to approve the consent agenda for March 24th. Second. Any discussion? All those in favor? Aye. Opposed? Abstained? Carries 4-0. Now it's your turn, Patty. Yes. It's getting ahead of myself. Let's see. I do have a couple action items for tonight. I will need approval on tuition rates for 26-27. My recommendation is similar to last year. We will set the tuition rate at the cost per pupil for Lakeway and Daisy Bronson Middle School. But this year, instead of holding the high school at the prior year rate, I'd like to hold the high school at the Daisy Bronson rate. And the only other item is transportation. I'm not sure if
all of you guys are aware, but Berry Transportation hasn't been able to fulfill their contract this prior year. So I did meet with the only other two transportation companies in the North Country. One was not able to help us. They're maxed out. and Butler's bus service was available and they've been providing our two daily runs to include going to White Mountains Regional for vote and they've also been doing I would say 90% of our field trips. You're doing athletics right? Yes, sorry, yeah, athletics, co-curricular. So my recommendation is that we continue with Butler. Butler, I attached the proposal. It's not an actual contract. I just would need you to approve the proposal. I'll get the contract written up and sign off on it. But, yeah, so it's less than our current varied transportation contract. Plus
there is significant savings on the co-curricular piece of it. I did put some specifics in my report for you guys. So they're willing to go the three years. Barry still has another four years to the contract, but at this time, Butler is willing to stick to their figures for the next three years. At that point, we have to go out to a formal bid again. So Barry said they couldn't meet our needs, correct? Yes. Well, the out clause is we could have said out at any given time because they haven't been providing service. Barry Transportation has contacted us and because they, she feels because they lost 36 that she thinks they'll be able to provide our transportation next year. But we already have the out. Like we can be out anyways. Because they. Basically defaulted
in our contract this year. I only have to give them a 30-day notice So I just don't want to take that risk again these guys step down. I just want to make sure that our outlaws will cover us. If you guys approve this tonight then I will talk to her on the phone first, but then I'll follow up with the in writing You said it was less expensive. Do you have an idea what the savings would be? I don't know what it is specific, but you can see just on the co-curricular, the minimum amount, it's over $100 less per trip. So that's going to add up pretty quickly. And they did, I think it was January, they actually moved three buses to Littleton. They're actually renting a location that they have three buses here in
town. and a van. So two vans and three buses. At that time they weren't using two buses, they were only using one bus and one van, but they wanted to have them here for availability in case something happened to one of them. They'd have a backup. But like I said, they've been covering most of our co-curricular trips, so. Questions, Bill? Any of that? Yeah, I think that's really, that's, unless you have questions on anything else. That's all I have to cover for tonight. Do you want us to vote on an outpatting? Sure, if you want it, that'd be great. I do have them in the rest of the vote sheet. Do we have a motion to approve the 2026-2027 school year tuition rates as presented by the business administrator? Is there a second? I'll second
that. Any discussion? All those in favor? Aye. Opposed? Abstain? Vote carries 4-0. Is there a motion to approve the 2026 through 2029 three-year transportation contract with buffer bus service as presented by the business administrator? Second. Any discussion? All those in favor? Aye. Opposed? Abstain? The vote carries 4-0. Thank you. Thank you, Patty. We'll move on to new business B, CTE Ambassador Grant. So establishing the ambassador program at the CTE where there will be an advisor and then students from the CTE that will do outreach to the CTE. So for Littleton High School getting to know the programs, what we offer. They'll be having some activities that they have in mind to do. But they'll also be the ambassadors to help us with recruiting from out of district. and doing tours for both the public and
the other surrounding schools. So the state offered an ambassador grant for existing and for new. So we were awarded $6,300 for that to start it up. So that will start immediately, and then we will carry it through next year and then go after more money for that as well. We're just very excited because we had already started working on it this year with them. Thank you. Does anybody have anything to add? Do we have a motion to accept the CTE Ambassador Grant in the amount of $6,300 as presented? So moved. Is there a second? Second. Any discussion? All those in favor? Aye. Opposed? Abstain? Vote 3-4-0. Moving on to Item C, Perkins Redistribution Grant. So we received the redistribution grant from, it's a carryover money. That happens every year. The state pulls all the money
together and then they go back out to all of the CTE programs and you get a percent. So last year our percent was $6,800. This year our percent is $7,017.12. So I have until September 30th to spend that. So I'm working on those budgets right now. July 1st I will get the reallocation of Perkins 5 at the 40% level, at 20% level, and then October 1st I'll get the 60% for the year of the Perkins money. But because of the way the money is coming into the state of New Hampshire right now, for all that money, this is how it's getting broke up so that we ensure we're spending it. Do I have a motion to accept the Perkins Redistribution Grant in the amount of $7,017.12 as presented? So moved. Second. Any discussion? All those
in favor? Aye. Opposed? Abstained? The vote carries 4-0. Thank you, Rochelle. D, the Community Builders Hub. I think that's mine as well. So the students in Yalta. participated in a program outreach community program with Tara Giles as part of the Tilson fund and they presented what is called they're calling it Crusaders Corner to they're creating that as their project so each person that had a project at this presentation received $1,000 so Littleton was awarded $1,000 And the students involved in the Yalta program, which is the leadership program at the high school level, is creating what's called a Cursiva's Corner. And they work with Mr. Ingalls. They're going to create it within this building to be open during lunch for students that need essentials. So like toothpaste, toothpaste, maybe a small snack or something small for
lunch, clothing. But it's going to be housed here. And then they're also going to work with I want to say it's the garage in the community. And so they're team with people in the community to do this. But they were awarded $1,000 to start this. And the students that are involved in this are freshmen. So they were excited to be able to have sustainability to this. And then the hub has money on other grants. So they've already front-loaded them. Just get going and then I brought this award to you tonight and then they'll start using their their goal is to use this one to replenish whatever to use so that the hub is going to sponsor them to get off the ground. Cool. We have a motion to accept the community builders hub donation in
the amount of $1,000 as presented. So moved. Is there a second? Any discussion? All those in favor? Aye. opposed abstain vote carries 4-0 on to e snow days well assuming we don't have any more we missed two full days uh this year we had a partial day but those don't count because we were here for happening but we did miss the two full days um so you'll see if you if you click on the link you'll see that uh we've uh got more than enough hours already accrued or not already but will by the by june June 15th or June 12th will have enough hours accrued to meet the state standards. So it's a little weird because we're students will have gone two days less than what was on the calendar. I'm going to ask
for even a little more. I'm going to ask that we not require the students to make up the two days and actually move the last day of school back from June 15th to June 12th. Reason for that being that the calendar, when it was presented last year, I'll take the blame for this. We really shouldn't have had a last day of school scheduled more than five days out from graduation. So, and frankly, we end the school year on a Friday for the students. And I'll ask them to come back for half a day on Monday, which probably would be the most, you know, we'll be here if they want. Probably won't be the most meaningful. half a day of education. So that's our ask for that. And that's for district-wide, not Lakeway schools? Yeah. Okay.
And does that change anything for the teachers as far as the third and last day? Teachers, unless the board says otherwise, the condition has been that teachers work before 1-88. So the board certainly has the authority to change that if they wish. So with that being said, you're saying that teachers would make up the two school days, correct? Which would put their last day to be what day? Yeah, Thursday, the 18th of June. That's correct. Versus the original last day was the 16th. Correct. Is there any recommendation from the leadership team or from you, Steve, as to... Just that like you did for the student. Other districts I've been in have done this, but I know Littleton traditionally we haven't. We've had the teachers work to the contract. So I think it's done differently in
some districts than others. Because they'll essentially be in the school for four days beyond the students. That's correct. What are they doing for the four days? I'm sure typically it's two days of... of one's a contract cleaning day one day contract cleaning the other day that we're assuming is but i mean is that any education as far as like staff education sometimes i wouldn't say it's okay that's right in my mind but we're also rolling over the informational system Something that's been new for the last year? Well, new leadership. New leadership, too. I don't think it's terrible to maybe do some team-building stuff in those days with the new principals. I'm only 25% tonight. In my opinion, if they're valuable, then fine. But if there's no value and they're going to be in their classrooms
done, they've already cleaned, they've already done, you know, I don't know that it's a valuable use of time. custodial staff can get a two-day jump on their work if just a thought but but i also wasn't sure if you would come in with a recommendation or or was that something you vote on it on the request to vote change change the calendar yeah we should have actually should have had that request before that my bad but yeah we're going to change the calendar the board ought to act on that the calendar for the students and then if you wish to do any different the teachers you should take a vote on that as well So do I have a motion to adjust the snow days for students as presented? Is there a second? Second. Any
discussion? All those in favor? Aye. Opposed? Same. So moved. 4-0. Should we motion to change the last day of school? Yeah, change it back to 12. I didn't say last day. I said snow days. Do we still have the same motion and second? Yeah. Yes. I'm only 25%. I won't make the motion because my wife is a teacher. I'll make the motion. What's the motion? To change the teachers last days back to days. To the 16th versus the 18th? Yes. So they won't make up the two days? No, they won't make up the two days. You all owe me. Any discussion? All those in favor? Aye. Opposed? Abstain vote. I'll abstain one. That's a good one. Moving on to S, summer school proposal. Just a proposal so we can post for staffing for special ed
summer school at Lake Lane, Daisy Robinson High School, and for preschool. It's the same as the one last year. 10-1. So what we'll do, when we get approval, we'll put it out to the teachers to embarrass and then we'll go back to our nations. So is that just, that's just special ed, correct? Yeah, we hear it down significantly at Lakeway because it used to be both. We do have some non-identified students that are kind of on the cusp. Okay. But there's an option for credit recovery like over the summer to kind of make up like if they failed in English, they can make it up over the summer. Not in this proposal. They have done that in the past. I know they've done that in the past. But we haven't for the last couple years,
thanks. But this is just for special ed. Okay. So are there kids in all the buildings for that program? Yes. Okay. And these two. So we just look forward to a motion. Opposed? And it's all budgeted in general. Okay. I'll make a motion to approve the presenting summer school program for special ed. Is there a second? I'll second. Any discussion? All those in favor? Aye. Vote carries 4-0. Moving to G, New Hampshire School Funding Fairness Project. Okay, click on the link. This is just part of a conversation coming from Marion, but I think it's a one to include it so you can see a little bit more about the activity. And basically, it's an activity that brought to the community. Marion, feel free to chime in here. But to talk a little bit about how
schools are funded. some of the how the current model affects the local property taxes and then just an opportunity for the district to kind of talk a little bit about the highlights the district and the things that the district is doing this it's proud of as well so it's a community-oriented meeting again to talk about schools and funding. Did I catch you? You're just wondering if you'd be interested in posting one because they've come up north but they need to plan it now. And you had one in 2022. Will there be talking at all about the potential for school choice? Will there be any part of that to help parents begin to understand what that means and taxpayers what that means? I'm sure you're going to touch on all of that. Other communities already hosting
this Well, it just came out. I say this Thursday at their before me If you touch everything, okay Is it a fall will be coming up this fall fall? 26 and I think from a perspective of community starting to understand what that if it's going to be one of the topics which I hope it is At least starting for the community to understand what that means. So when it comes to budget time they understand You know those are the cons and what that could do to their to the budget. I think it'd be worthwhile for statement Yeah, I think it'd be worthwhile That's something that fires voters up in the boys. No just wanted to make sure the board was okay with it I say it's a look at the funding structure here. That's the
main topic Thank you. I'm moving on to age proposal to relocate little connect Littleton Academy to Littleton High School It's really happening. I get to do the proposal. This is something that comes up year after year and it's usually through a facilities lens of why we're going to relocate the academy and what we're going to do with the old Daisy Bronson building. But Al, Dale, myself, Michelle, Dr. Niles, and Crystal said she's come on board. have had conversations about relocating the academy over to this campus for programmatic reasons and more about what's best for students, what's best for the teachers, and the supports that are available to them if we were to relocate the building. And also how we could utilize teachers. in a little bit of a different capacity if they're on site over
here. We have Mr. Marks that comes over. He does a PE class on the law today. He has come over and taught social studies block. And so, you know, we're also looking at scheduling and how we can be a little more strategic with that. I don't know if you have questions on the particular proposal that was submitted. Dale could talk more about the... facility stuff schematics around that and the idea of there's a lot of work that has to be done to that building and you know having kids out of the building would allow for that to happen but he's much more versed in all of that than I am I think just the the need for that building I would propose that if the board would support this move That the district put together
a study committee as to what our options are for that building. Across the street with the work that has to be done. More should be done, knowing that we still need at least the basement of that facility for the near future without a 2nd gymnasium. So it would be much easier to do. all of those things without having to work around kids. For instance, the bottom floor has asbestos tiles that need to be abated. And we can only fit that in over a vacation week or a summer. If the building didn't have students in it, we could do much more throughout the calendar year. So my proposal on top of this would be that we perform a study to see what our options are. that are what we want to do with that building as
a system. I think that's really good. It's the existing space that we originally talked about, right? Kind of the mezzanine level that's up here. So that side room that's called the LA space, that's currently like a... Is that the space that's currently like a teacher's room that they can get their mailboxes in? There's a photocopier in there? No, there is that. There's a teacher's room and then there's an office next to it. It's like a social studies storage room? Yeah. Closet. Okay. So it was in the attachment. If you click on the attachment. okay so it's not that because i'm saying because our referees also use that right so it's not that space it's to the left of that i didn't realize there was a space to the left of that that wasn't a dark
room Okay, but there is I guess I never really there was a space there. Okay Well, I know you also talked about the benefits of this location and its proximity them to the main office Is it benefit as well? So I think I'm totally agree with it. It was a great idea Especially if your team's on board with it. We're excited about there's hesitation in a way that you know because they have their own community over there But I think that space is much more appealing to them than what is presented. You know, yeah, I'm sure a several years ago Anybody have anything dad So we're looking for a motion to approve the proposal to relay K. Littleton Academy to Littleton High School as presented. So moved. Is there a second? Second. Any discussion? One
question, Dale, or maybe Steve. If the building is not going to be used, we have to report it to the state? Second I can't remember the logistics so I have to change the address for Littleton Academy because of the 911 and also have to report that to Okay In terms of the building itself it that will only be used for the gym It would still have a purpose not an educational purpose of the class, but it would still have a building purpose Okay, don't believe it's counted as one of our standalone buildings because the academy is an affiliated program with the middle school and high school okay yeah it'll still be used but i know the bill is referring to policy yes yeah there is a policy if you abandon the building then you have
to make that building available for the private school other school Is there any impact any of the funding we receive whether it's grant or state funding based on square footage that now we're reducing our square footage total for student use nothing like that Just think there's any downstream funding of any sort that would have been inducted Well, again, that building is not counted towards anything when it comes to building spaces are free and reduces. Okay, that's kind of what I was getting. That's a percentage that doesn't have anything necessarily to do with our footage. Any further discussion? All those in favor? Aye. Opposed? Abstain? Vote carries 4-0. Moving on to the fiscal year 26-27 general assurances. Okay, I'll just entertain any questions if they had a chance to look over at the document. You know,
they have a lot of requirements in here. I think the ones that, you know, I want to make, I'll hit a few high points, but I want to make sure if there's any questions that the board or anybody else for that matter has that we can certainly address. So. There's a lot of regulations a lot of requirements related to equal, you know fair hiring title title six of the Civil Rights Act Title nine section 504 there's a whole Item six there always like to get those because Again the federal funds that you requires to obviously follow all those guidelines The other important aspects of the Hatch Act requiring the use of how employees or contractors are treated. Human subjects, it talks about the laboratory animal welfare act again making sure that we're following all that
lead-based point paint poisoning. I'm not going to read everything. It's probably seeming like OTC is good on with it, but I do want to hit some of the high points. There's even my favorite. It's still there. My favorite one is the number 16, texting while driving. We need to comply with that. So, again, this is important to point out. I'm going to go down real quick. because there's a number of policies uh procedures which we're working on if you go clear down to page 10 uh those and rochelle's familiar with those because of our recent audit patty knows these like the back of her hand uh she does uh because we we abide by these but just make us aware that we have these policies and procedures and those that uh that uh did meet
the bottom we've corrected internal controls and so on. So I'm going to stop with that and begin asking the big questions. There are big unbidding procedures, pricing procedures, just good bidder procedures. In training there was, you could not use it to do any type, any federal grant whatsoever for lobbying. Do not for, no take it aside, no showing up in Concord, none of that. That was one of the, they emphasized that this year in training. So that usually means someone got in trouble. Even our food service contract actually has that in it. Yeah, we're going to go on that this year. Yeah, Rochelle and Patty have done quite a bit of PD in meetings and things related to this. I think we're going to get our audits have been very good. So I think we've
done a pretty good job with this. But again, we're required to disclose it. Travis will be asked initially along with me and then it will be posted to all. yeah i already messed up my initials on the wrong line for about the first 10 so i don't know if you want to read the rest of it yeah so we have a motion to accept the fiscal year 20 26 2027 general assurances for grants for the school year 2026 2027 as presented by the superintendents So moved is there a second Any discussion all those in favor aye opposed abstain vote carries 4-0 Moving on to J the quarterly meeting coming up April 23rd 2026 Anything I guess anything the board. I mean as we put the agenda together I'm gonna be late not terribly, but a
little late to that. I will not be there I'm going to talk to Lauren a little bit about that particular quarterly meeting that we met the other day. And we can talk further if you have any questions. I'll be sharing an agenda to ask for anything from the board that you specifically want to make sure is on the agenda. That's when the budget committee is in town? Yeah, the budget committee is in town. When we talked about the snow days and you guys voted to have the 16th. the last day for the teachers technically the last day for our paras is the 17th so I would recommend that you pay all the paras for the 17th I don't think they're gonna they're hourly so we would be taking away a day's pay from them if
they obviously they're not going to show up on the 17th when everyone else is gone the 16th That would be my recommendation. The 16th is the last working day for all staff that the carers get paid for one day. I don't have to do it. So I'll make a motion. speaking of trying to have a conflict i know it's crystal to be sure so we're going to make it we're going to make a motion that the last day of school will be the 16th for everybody's and the pairs will get paid for the 17th so that it was hourly rate for their thank you appreciate that looking for a second second any discussion all those in favor aye opposed abstain motion carries 4-0 thank you penny you're welcome Then moving on to unfinished business teacher
residency program, so we interviewed what? Seven candidates so far and feel free anybody who's been attending these interviews to pitch in We have a meeting with the state people tomorrow To go we've seen from the interview we've done so far And then a number of candidates that we'd be comfortable with extending an invitation to participate in the program. So we're really, I think, I didn't make the interviews on Friday, but I watched the recordings of them today. We've got good quality candidates coming in, so I'm very pleased with that. We can take up to four, right? Yes. Two, two matched. Yeah, we are going to have to kind of figure out some things maybe a little bit different this year only in the sense of the the Housing we may not have access to more
than two that are real travel will find other options effect in fact the country so Things are moving along and 20th. We'll have updates on the candidates themselves. Probably the next one Thank You Steve moving on the committee reports doesn't look like There's anything to report negotiations facilities or policies moving on to student representative reports again not seeing a student representative I don't think we have that reports this means going pretty fast moving on to superintendents report okay I mean a plow truck winner yeah that's pretty cool I just I just I mean I saw that I should've asked more questions I did see the poster and lightweight of the damn oh that's very clever January and asked if I'd consider piloting their name of plow truck program As I first North Country schools to
participate and it's pretty simple They gave us coloring sheets with a section where you can come up with a creative name And so our three or six graders that wanted to participate participated We narrowed down to the top three and then all the students voted and Ryland Ramsey won with the name of Scoop Dogg. So Scoop Dogg is coming to visit us Thursday. Ryland doesn't know. I'm pretty confident he's not watching the board meeting so I don't mind sending him. The DOT commissioner and the DOE commissioner will be there to award him and he'll get to get his picture taken with Scoop Dogg and his driver. There were some pretty creative names. The second place was Blizzard Wizard. I like that. Did you say where is the truck located? What district? Up here. It'll be
in the North Country. It has the name right on the side. So if you're in Lakeway, Taney and Pat did a beautiful bullet board for Ryle. I mentioned a bit earlier with that. Yeah, it's pretty cool. And they did tag Scoop Dogg in the post, but he did not respond. NHIA Scholar Athletes Awards. These are season athletes or scholar athletes that met the following criteria. All nominees are submitted by their athletic director and principal. So Al was sharing this with me today and the
timing is perfect. I'll share it tonight with the board. So our seniors that were honored for this. Kendall Adams, who participated in soccer and winter spirit. Mason Allaire, soccer and basketball. Julianne Bromley, soccer and basketball. Ashton Chapman, soccer and basketball. Marcus Hampton, soccer and basketball. Luke Hennessy, golf, alpine skiing. Al Horse, soccer and basketball. Ryan Mahey, golf and basketball. Madison Nelson, soccer and basketball, and Sam Raby, golf and basketball. So those are the senior recipients of the Scholar Athlete Award from the NHIA. So congratulations to them and their families and coaches. Billing aid application, Dale, anything you want to say about that? Well, there's probably a lot you can say about that. it's due by it's due by may 1st if we want to remain on i've been working on it it's not just as
simple as a letter yeah it's not that simple anyway just to inform the board and make in the community that we we are staying on top of it again to remind everybody i think everybody here knows this but i'll just say it again for the public record there's there's not a lot of money available at this point but that doesn't mean there would never be any money and so And Dale put a tremendous amount of work into this last spring when we did the building aid. You know, we were hopeful that they would just continue with a fairly simple process, but it's been a little more work than probably we anticipated. That's what we've got to do. Spring play is coming up here week after next, the Leading Ladies, April 16-18. So when we were
in the gym, of course, we saw them across the way. They're working Deb and Serena working their magic. Um, need to ask for visit. This is just kind of for your information that's coming down the road. I'll share this document with me. He's been the main contact at this point. Would you ask anything to add to the letter? Anything you want to say? No, we just received this letter April 1st. First visit would be October 13th and 14th, 2027. there are budget implications for these visits so this year's budget will have to improve overnight for six visitors and then 29 is a 10-year 10-year cycle in october 2029. we'd be opening that up to like what's the nomination or the the process of nominating staff members to be part of that yes prep team or
that Sent a letter or an email out to staff for two co-chairs. Okay. So that's the first. That's the beginning. And then each staff member typically serves on various committees that have to be. Is there any budget, pieces to the budget tied to that? Like do they get stipends for leading? Then you ask for. The co-chairs typically do this. Okay. So we need to consider that probably for next school year as well. And just a couple links, documents to keep you in the know on things that are coming pretty fast and furious as they do this time of year. So you can plan ahead for year-end events, high school, especially a huge amount of events for seniors, but also for step-up and other events as well. There's lots of stuff going on. Step-up event for
the sixth grade. So that's just for your information. and that's all I have for my superintendent. Thank you, Steve. Moving to public input. I'll be open for a proper motion to enter into non-public. I'm getting it. I'm getting it. Okay, I'm making a motion to enter into non-public session under paragraph 2, section 3 of RSA 91A3, colon 3, of the right to know law for section 1. the dismissal, promotion, or compensation of any public employee, or the disciplining of any public employee, or the investigation of any charges against him or her? Is that it? Yeah, and the hiring. And to the hiring of any person as a public employee. Taking with us... Announcement number three. We always do number three. Matters which, if discussed in public, would likely adversely affect the reputation of any person
other than a member of this board. Taking with us the superintendent. Yeah, I'd like that. beginning part of post-session if you may. Okay. Who else? Mary. Okay. Dr. Anastasia. Second. Any discussion? All those in favor roll call vote. Bill Jengro. Marbury. Greco. Travis Howard. Roll for the period 4-0. We are in non-public. Thank you everybody.
