Holden, the personnel report has been approved. Okay. For the benefit of the audience, the personnel report tonight consists of the following. Under retirement or resignation, Lauren Price, school nurse at the Early Learning Center. That'll be effective January the 16th. And then under other part-time supplemental contract or special assignments, Abby Bis uh extended day program, high school aid, Meline Bendal, Meredith Hicks, and Lenicia Thomas also extended day college aids. Those are all systemwide positions to be assigned. Uh also Christian Daniel and Cole Watkins, uh athletic supplement for helping with the 26 tennis season as an assistant tennis coach. Also, Amy Helms, who worked with our seventh grade volleyball head coach. That is an athletic supplement. Just a correction to the supplement that was originally approved back in July. You can see the description there of what's
uh what's changing. Uh Matt Jones, assistant baseball coach, that is an athletic supplement to be paid from baseball funds. Logan Nunley uh for an unpaid leave for two days due to extraordinary circumstances. Also, Jackson Pate, volunteer wrestling assistant coach, and Lindseay Woods, volleyball assistant coach, supplement to be paid from volleyball funds. The remainder of the personnel report is for information only. It wasn't for board action tonight. Just some Kelly staffing updates. you see uh some individuals that will be helping us out filling some different roles and and leaves and that type of thing through Kelly services as well as three employees who are requesting new medical leave that will be flexible according to their medical needs. All right, and now moving into my report tonight, I do want to commend our football team. Uh we
we haven't met since the football season came to an end. uh just had an outstanding season. Really did. And uh for the second year in a row, you know, the team that that we lost to that last game, such a heartbreaker, but that team went on to win the state championship. So, I think that says a lot about the team that we've had the last couple of years. And I know Coach Ba and his team did an outstanding job and and they would want us to recognize, you know, everybody involved. A very supportive community number one, but also the cheerleaders, the dance team, the band members, you know, just supported the team every step of the way. and and now we're in basketball and wrestling and all the winter sports. Those things are are well
in full swing. Um last few weeks have been busy. A lot of the things that we do this time of year, you know, Christmas concerts, the city parade was the other night. Um and our students and staff have been involved in things like stuff the bus and the angel tree and you know, food for students that that you know need a little bit extra during the holidays. just down the steps here, we've got food that we're going to be handing out tomorrow to families that need it. And so, I just appreciate everybody that's involved in organizing that and and being involved in that because it's very much needed and it's a it's a I mean, it's a value that we teach our kids when we do those types of things. It's very important. Uh, but
we're now winding down the semester. It's the last full week of school. High school, middle school have exams going on, a lot of parties and things going on in our elementary schools. Unfortunately, a lot of sickness right now, too. We we talked about that a little bit uh before we got started tonight, but uh faculty meals celebrating Christmas. I know the principles are going to love on their their teachers and staffs a little bit these last few days. In fact, we will have a a meal here at 9:15 in the morning. You're all welcome to come join us if you'd like to. Uh we I'm sure we'll have plenty, but our schools will close on Friday. It's a shorter day on Friday. Uh everybody will be gone by 1:00 and we will reopen after the
holidays on Tuesday, January the 6th. Um the teachers will come back, staff will all be here on that Monday for a work day and then the students will be here on Tuesday, January the 6 to to reopen school. I did want to commend a few teachers who recently received their national board certifications. I know some of the principles have put that out on social media already, but I did want to recognize them in a board meeting. At the high school, we have Stacy Aday and Carrie Johnson are now national board certified, as well as Candy Hester from the middle school. And uh we had a few teachers, Leslie Marcus, Tiffany Stone Cipher I know for two that uh renewed their certificates. So congratulations to all those teachers. I know it's a lot of hard work
that goes into that um that process. Uh Dr. Concincaid and I will be visiting a couple of staffs over the next few days. I probably during their holiday party, we'll pop in on some some lucky winners who are going to be recognized as our district teachers of the year. They don't know it yet, but they will over the next couple of days. So, we look forward to being able to to do that and celebrate with their their faculty uh those that have been selected and then at the January board meeting we'll have all of those teachers here with their families to recognize them and congratulate them. But I just appreciate the the hard work that has gone into this semester. I mean, I know we have a few days left, but from my standpoint, it's
been a really good start to the school year, a really good semester. a lot of really good things going on, a lot of positivity, and uh I think it has carried over into all aspects of what we do and and I just appreciate your support. Um I know the the paychecks that people will be receiving this week will have just a little bit of extra on there and uh and that was because of the commitment that you all made to invest in our in our staff and uh I've gotten a lot of thank yous and and I'm conveying that to you. Our our employees really appreciate that recognition and uh and I appreciate that. So with that, I'll just say happy holidays and a merry Christmas. >> All right. Thank you uh for that report,
Dr. Holden. And this does uh conclude our agenda for the meeting. Is there any further discussion? All right. If not, then this meeting is adjourned.
