Pledge to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. comments. We sitting down on finances. >> Yeah. I mean, how much are we in the bank? >> We should end the month with about 2.2 million and comparing to last year about this the same time we're we have about 615,000 more in the bank than we did last year. This >> Yeah. And uh on our monthly Zoom that we make with the state uh I was at the ASBA conference and and Angie asked if we needed to reschedu and they said no we'll just skip this because y'all are in good shape. We don't have any criticisms to give. So we we'll take that any day. >>
We appreciate what you done. >> Why are we under scrutiny audit watching? Um that'll be up to them to >> they don't tell you how much longer it is. >> We were we're in early intervention. So I'm hoping if we have a good year that they will >> they do it on a yearly >> step us down to maybe just a periodic >> they they just look for leaks in the leaks in the budget and they if we pass them up and we're going the other way they don't they don't >> they've been very good to work with. All of them have. >> I have a feeling we have a good year. It'll hopefully we'll be good. from year to year, right? >> Yeah. I'm I'm very happy with it. >> We'll make a motion
to approve the consent agenda and the financial statement. >> Mr. Anthony second all favor say >> I for [cough] [clears throat] like the east before we do >> ready. East. >> East is kind of our shining star in the school district. And I'm so proud of these folks. I can't tell you how impressed I am with these young people and with their teacher. >> Okay. >> Y >> Okay. This is my first time dropping in the board meeting, so I'm sorry, guys. But I'd like to talk about some of the benefits that East has. Um, you'll notice that here is where most of kids sit. In average classrooms, sorry, in average classrooms, you know how entertained they are, the colors, that's a bored, like they don't like the class, whatever. And you'll notice like the
the red, which is the the good, they're engaged. East has over 20% positive engagement than any other part um part of any other academic >> like normal academic class. So we are oh this was a Willington basically we send out a form like thing and they mark on a chart how you know where we're whether they're challenged in the class where they like it and typically we stay in this range right here which is very great especially compared to the other classes. Um, >> it's basically to measure whether a kid is actually wanting to learn in that class, >> if they're engaged or not. >> Yeah. >> Right. Um, and we're going to a conference in March and essentially they're going to pitch y'all some of their projects. Um, one which is very specific, the
uh the music, she just got turned into a nonprofit. Um, and she's 16, so she can't even be on the nonprofit boards, >> right? So, that's crazy. Um, we're going to conference in March. Basically what we do is we go and we pitch all of our projects to other community or to other basically communities because like like wow a lot of other school districts also have east and east tries to work with their community learning new skills and whatnot to benefit the community. So we try to pick up on other projects and we take it to England and we try and apply it to our situation and we also take our projects and show it to other people in order to get other people to take on the project. So hopefully overall Arkansas will become
a better state due to a student led organization. Hi, I'm Sydney and I am working on the east of music um east project. And basically what that is is it is a program that uh me and Aiden Cunningham, Jace Triplet and Cooper Price started. Uh Aiden Cunningham and Jace Triplet uh graduated last year. And basically what it is, it is a uh program that gives free guitar lessons on Wednesdays from 5 to 6 to the youth in our community ages 8 to 18. And this is because we're an impoverished town as a lot of y'all know. And it is a way to get kids interested in music that's not um just like a high school band. It's other instruments. And right now we offer guitar and bass. And we made it free so that kids
don't have to worry about cost. And I've been working with Mayor Stephanie White of Kio to make it a nonprofit organization. and we have successfully made it a nonprofit as of um November 25th. And right now I'm in the process of working with other schools in the state that also have these programs to spread it to their communities to hopefully benefit them as well which is most of these conference also. >> So I'm going to talk to you about the our another project that we have UIA Sports Complex for Innovation. Uh, baseball's always been a big thing in England and we are always looking for ways to improve it. Right now we have not as many fields as we would like. We'd like to host more tournaments, get some more revenue in England, all things
like that. We can always get revenue from like if we have baseball tournaments and stuff that will always translate into revenue for the community and for local businesses like we can get people to Real Fish, we can get people to the swamp, uh, even Sonic, stuff like that. [snorts] So, right now we have a couple problems with the ballpark in general. We have that open space where the elementaryary school used to be and we would like to turn that into parking, maybe even another field. Um, they need more of like a centralized concession stand. This is all just to make the area more familyfriendly, safer for kids. Right now, parking is all lined across that street and people have almost gotten hit. That's a that's a pretty big problem whenever you look at it from
a like a school safety standpoint, stuff like that. Um, so we have, well, we've met with the mayor and he's like kind of agreed to things like that, but we also want to work with the school and see if we can get some of y'all's input on it and see if y'all can like help us get this project moving along. We know it probably won't happen this year, but we're hoping maybe two or three years in the future we can get it going. Uh, we've made a mockup of the area, and that's this right here. We're wanting to add, first of all, we're wanting to turn this, this is a little league field right now. Turn that around and turn it into a softball field for high school. So, you can watch baseball and softball
at the same time. That makes it instead of having to walk from here to here to watch high school games, you can watch at the same time. A lot of times softball gets done or has a break and they're they want to walk all the way over from there to here and you're across streets. It's not the safest area. That's what I'm trying to get at. Um, we've also that's a new that would be a new concession stand. And if you've ever been to Lon Oak Park, they have a little centralized area. There's playground, just open space. And that's kind of what we've done here. We also like to we've also added a little food truck area here as well. Um, then we've also moved the little league fields over there. And if you didn't
know, little league field and the softball field are the exact same size. So those can be converted into a softball field as well. So you could say we could host a little league tournament in the morning and then a softball little league tournament in the afternoon. That's just going to translate to revenue for England as a whole. And if the high school can get more involved, we can also add say like tennis courts, pickle ball courts, volleyball courts, stuff like that just to make our area more usable all year round instead of just baseball season. And you you can see that we've added a big parking here as well. But that all kind of depends on what y'all decide to do with the land because I've talked to the mayor. I've talked to Robie Brock.
He's said he wants to put it in the paper to see what the community thinks about it. We just need to know what y'all want to do with the land. Like either donate it to the city, sell it to the city, or maybe work with the city and turn it into a parking lot or just something. We're kind of at a We're kind of stuck right now and we I'm going to work with the England Chamber of Commerce. See what they think. Just I think we need to have a meeting. Maybe not everyone. Just maybe a representative from y'all, representative from the committee, maybe the mayor as well, maybe parks and wreck. But if y'all can get kind of get this on your mind and see what y'all think, that help a lot. Do y'all
have any questions or comments? Look >> pretty good. Someone take them. >> Caleb came to me with a plan for an arena and I'm going tell you it was impressive and he doesn't know how badly I want to do that. Made my mouth water. But thank you. Y'all have done some very impressive things. You have done a a nonprofit. A lot of adults don't know how to do that. You've done a nonprofit. Okay. >> I've also got an app that I've been Okay. Sorry. I know I should have talked about it at the start, but um so there's kind of an issue in England. We had a blow order a couple years ago and a lot of people didn't end up knowing about it because people post on Facebook and a lot of people think
that you see everything on Facebook, but you really like a lot of the community doesn't know who to follow, who to, you know, >> Unreliable information. Thank you, Caleb. Um, so I was originally going to have an app made, but it cost anywhere from 15,000 to $20,000 yearly, which is insane. And I think House was a little because I talked to him about it. Um, so after that, I decided or Mr. Jr. actually recommended me an app and I created the app by myself. Um, it's $1,000 yearly, which is a lot better. Um, it's kind of I don't know how to put the it's very simply made so it's adaptable for every generation. Everybody can navigate it to put it. >> Um, >> so I made it and I a lot has been going on
in England and it's kind of I've been working on it for a couple years. Haven't made any progress. So instead, I kind of want to take it to Lono County and pitch the idea to them. And it's basically where police department, uh, fire department, um, >> did you get yourself a copyright on it? >> A copyright? >> You need to. >> Okay. Well, it's not published yet. It So, what I have right now is basically a pre-development thing. I've made it, but until you um actually buy the app, you can't, >> you know, you can't put a comfort on it. I'm sure it's something similar. >> Well, when you get it to that point, you be sure you do that. >> So, um I want to take it to Lone Oak County and and basically
Lone Oak would have every jurisdiction. it'd be like maybe not right but you know England other small Kio people were their um departments can post on it and you're going to figure out information that information that is relevant to your community and it could be like highway is shut down you need to take a different route to work or the roads are iced over something like simple stuff like that but you're going to know it's coming from a right source and you're going to know that it's going to be >> Mhm. fastly. So, it's going to make it a lot easier in emergency situations and nothing's going to be haywire. It's all going to be in one place. But that's kind of what programs our each program works on projects like that. >> Very impressive.
>> Coach Dennis, you have anything you want to say? >> They did everything for me as always. >> All right. [laughter] >> Thank y'all. >> Thank you. >> Yes, sir. I I move that we go into executive session to discuss personnel. >> Okay, Miss Britney, you want to Britney is going to give us our statistical report as part of her principles report. Paul's um presentation is in your packet. Well, it's probably it was presided. I think it also says November. I was going to present this in November, but we decided to wait until December. So, um so this is the letter grade update for the high school. Uh these are the new calculations for the letter grade. Um it's based on achievement growth, graduation readiness, a total of 900 points. Um overall, this table shows
the breakdown of the total number of points possible in each area of the new letter grade, which makes it easier for districts to understand. So that's different for the um high school and elementary. Elementary only has achievement growth and growth of lowest quarter and then we also have the success ready um graduate. Our overall achievement calculation is based on the number of students who scored a level three and four in ELA math and science. There's 100 points per area. highly mobile students and their recently arrived English learners which are year one and year two are not included in this count. Um so you can see in ELA we got 21.94 math was 18.06 and science is 27.27 for a total of 6727. the overall growth calculation um for students who met expected growth on the
Atlas uh general assessment or alpha 21 which is our English learners assessment. Um these scores do not include the highly mobile students and they have to have at least one prior summitive score within the past two years to be included. the ELA and ELA are added together and then math inside. >> Were these numbers you're giving us? Was that the end of the year last year? >> This is for the 2020 425 testing. >> Yes. Yes. >> Y'all don't get any interim numbers during the year for this year 25 26. >> Not from the state. No, we don't. We can pull a report. Um I would have to get Crystal to pull that. I'll be honest with you, but >> give you an idea how we're >> Yes. But we only tested our English um
and writing or reading and writing this semester and then in the spring in February we'll do math and science before we have everything in um April. >> Mr. This was where we covered whoopde mills on that growth. They changed the metrics how they do it. the overall lowest 25% growth calculation. This excludes our highly mobile students and recently arrived English learners, year one students and so due to our enrollment even one to two stu one to two students can shift the growth percentages dramatically. Um this is area is different in elementary for the high school. The mean of the three cont is the mean of the three content um all together because we've got that other area the um radius. So overall success ready graduates calculation this really really helped the high school letter grade.
Um this is based on our 2024 graduating class not 2025. is always going to be a year behind. Uh this area um helped us because of our CTE completers um concurrent credit and AP students and um like this year we've got several that are doing concurrent credit through PCCUA, a couple through um virtual Arkansas and [clears throat] but these scores for this year, so 2026 seniors will not be until our 27th score if that makes sense. Um the graduation rate is out of 100 points we got 91.18 which means that 91% of our students graduated within four years. Uh the readiness, merit and distinction rate is also out of 100 and we got 76.47. Did that say 73.53? My numbers are wrong on here. I apologize. Um, but this just means that they are ready.
They've completed more than one more one or more pathways in the success rating guide and have also earned industry recognized credentials, completed advanced coursework or earned college credit that prepares them for life after graduation. This chart is the overall grades being cut scores for elementary, middle, and high schools. And so we had a total of 400.51, which earned us a C. >> [clears throat] >> You have any questions? >> Thank you so much, Britney. >> Let me go ahead and do my principal's report. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Uh you should have a copy of this in there as well. Um the total number of students for December 2025 was 266 at the high school. November 25th through 28th, we had fall break. December 5th, Kim Wright from the Bailey group came to EHS and observed
our core subject classrooms and provided feedback and data on our strengths and needs in our building. She'll be returning December 18th to review this data in more detail with us. December 11th, the Wilbur Mills mentor program specialist Morgan Vector Yates met with our novice teacher to discuss some planning and student engagement, how it relates to their PGPS. And this week we have semester test and next week starts our winter break. Uh this week we also have the band concert in the cafeteria at 5:30 on Thursday and like I said next week starts our break. Any questions? >> Appreciate you. >> Thank you. >> Miss Tammy. >> Um your element for your report is not in your packet. It's just separate. It's the one with the pictures on it. So, um, enrollment for December is 331.
That's a one from last month. And then the picture on the front, we've started our, um, races that we have the week of Christmas break with our kid, our adults in the building. So, this is me and Miss Beckman this morning um, having our race. I included that for y'all. And then on the back is our December newsletter upcoming events. the 16th through the 18th, uh, K2 are taking their Atlas interim test. December 16th, today, first grade went carolling at the nursing home. The 18th, we'll have our winter parties. [clears throat] The 19th, we'll be out for our Christmas break early. And then December 23rd through January 7th, winter break. January 8th, we return to school. At the bottom, you'll see a green uh Christmas bingo chart. Our uh teachers are trying to get five
in a row to get a prize of dress up days for December. And then our kids just have to get any five. And then in the top right corner, our breakfast and bingo for parental involvement. Um we've been doing since we moved into our new building, breakfast per grade level since we can't fit everyone in there. Um we've talked about before like the old donuts with dads and muffins for mom. So we just do a breakfast per grade level. And this year we decided to do breakfast and bingo. So we've gotten a bingo game, bingo cards, and prizes. And we're just going to play bingo with each grade level while we have our breakfast. So that has the dates and the times on there for help. Any questions for the elementary? >> Thank you. >>
All right. for the superintendent report. We have got to fix the lawnmower and it's going to cost $4642, but a new lawnmower with a new bagger would be anywhere between 19,000 and 21,000. So, um the football >> Yes, I told uh them to go ahead and get it fixed. He says he thinks it's a fairly sound lawnmower, but uh I was hoping he'd be here tonight to tell you what's wrong with it. I don't really know. It doesn't work. It's got to be fixed. >> Motor. >> Maybe that's it. Okay. >> Motor. >> It's a motor. Okay. >> Um I would like to talk to y'all about the possibility of our purchasing a good used van to transport our smaller groups. Uh, Angie's been looking on tips and taps where you can find one. Have
you found any prices >> on the >> on a used Good used van? >> No, I haven't had I just found out I haven't had >> Okay. Well, if uh you know, we had this, it wouldn't be such a pill transporting cheerleaders and you know, smaller groups. You don't have to have a CDL to operate a van like that. It's less than 15 passengers, right? >> Yeah, it's >> 15 or less. >> I think so. I've got that in here somewhere. We called the state today to find out. Uh, >> they still pretty reasonable. I think uh has one. >> Yeah. But >> kind of like for the churches, it's tall enough you can stand up, walk down the middle, >> right? what we need it for like cheerleaders and all their gear that they
have to have. Uh tennis and all the gear they have to have much you operate. >> Yeah. And I think that if we get in this career academy at Lone Oak or with the community college, we can it'll be easier to find somebody to drive them. I think with our finances going in the right direction, we could afford it. If you all would give us the go-ahhead to start looking, we'll bring some prices and see what you think. >> A good one. Yeah. And you're looking for a used one. >> Used one. Yeah. >> I tell you, Larry Pocket. >> Well, we can also look off this. We can buy off the state. If we look at a new one, >> if you buy if you buy a new one, you have to buy new.
Well, me too, but I wanted to be careful with the money. >> Used, you don't have to go through tips tab for that. But you can um I'll have to look back into my emails. Uh Mr. Process want to look at something and I have some emails from the state about >> Okay. Where you can buy off the state contract. >> Yeah. I had originally thought, well, maybe a Suburban or an Expedition, but then we got to talking about how the van would be better and you could carry more and so forth. >> Yeah, that's right. So, uh >> I like the ones kind of like churches do. It's kind It's got the big bucket seats in them. You can take the back seat out, put stuff, carry like if they went on the east
trip, they put all their stuff in a bag and still carry 18 kids. >> Right. Right. Well, we we would like to start looking if that would be okay with you all. >> I think the largest capacity you can get kit, but you don't have to have a CDL. >> Yeah. And I'm getting the CDL letters back from the coaches, but some of them are just not signed. >> It's just hard to get a C the uh it's just that limits your carrying capacity of the CDLs. I would get the larger. Yeah. >> Okay. Well, uh, I attended the ASBA conference in Little Rock on the 10th and the 11th and the Beardsley dinner that evening and I won tickets to a Razerback game in Fagville, the James Madison game. Uh, we may have to
re key some if not all of our facilities. We've got kids getting in the gym and I don't know how they're getting in. all times of the day or night. I'm afraid keys have been given out and it's going to be expensive and I hope that it's not a master key that's out and we have to re key everything. But I just want to let you know that is a problem and we've been trying to trace it to how they're getting in there. So, uh, but they're getting in there all times of the night >> and >> really we should probably eventually get away from keys, but they'll be something we can look at in the future. >> That way we can track who's entry, who's getting in and out, use >> Yeah. >> Ask
>> cards. >> Yeah. >> What is it? >> That way you can track who who's going in where. That's more secure measure. Is it Bill's locker [clears throat] in North? >> Yeah, >> they do good work. >> Erica, let you start doing some research on that for us. >> Okay. We've got um >> Don't y'all have ideas? >> We have the readers on all of our doors. >> Mhm. [clears throat] We have readers on all of our major doors. >> But y'all have regular IDs, right? >> Well, this will open up this door. You got some smart. What's on back? >> It's uh passed [music] the athletic smart card. They're HID and so that they everybody has to scan their badge to get in. But at the gym, it's some of those back doors back
there like goes into the back coach's office in the fieldhouse. >> It locks it open with those. >> We can we can do it. >> That's what I'm talking about. >> Cold either one. >> Huh? >> Then you can track who's going in where what >> get their code away. >> It's too hard to track. It's too hard to have keys if you have one disrunt leave or somebody loses their keys. >> Yeah. >> It gives you more security too. >> It does. I can just delete a user's access >> and she can control access who goes in where, how, >> and it gives it more security. That's correct. If you don't have total control, your key control even if you have one lapse during a period of time, it's over with. I mean, you
can't start, you can't catch back up. >> Yeah. >> Well, I'll have Erica start. consider. We can see what it would possibly cost. >> We already have codes on the some of the doors anyway. All the extraordinary doors got codes on them. >> Mhm. >> Where you can get one like for a household the punch code. Yeah. Not with the >> P $150. >> Mhm. >> I'm talking about using your the ID. >> Yeah. Yeah. What he's talking about you put them on the exterior doors that we don't want to run electricity to. We can just put a >> No. With those. >> Yeah. The kids are good at getting the code. If they see you punch it in, they're good at getting >> But if you have an ID, they can do it. >>
Right. Right. That's what I'm saying. We don't need to punch code. >> Well, Erica will do us some good research. I'm sure she's pretty good at that stuff. Okay. Basketball's going pretty well. We're winning. We play Carile at home Thursday night starting at 4:30. and we play three games in the Drew Central Classic during the break. On Saturday the 27th we play Hamburg. On Monday the 29th, Star City and on Thursday, December the 30th, Warren. Now, we did have a fight at Barton and five of our players got suspended. Now, I looked at the video first thing the next morning and I think we were given a really bad deal on that. Now, the Triple A did back up on one of them and wound up with four suspended, but this kid that they backed
up on had ridden the bench the whole game. And when the fight broke out and it kind of moved toward him, he stood up and TripleA said that was, you know, him going to get involved. >> You can't leave the bench, period. >> Yeah. >> Well, he stood up. He didn't leave. >> I know what I'm saying, but that's how they look at it. >> Oh, yeah. That's how they look at it. But I could not see to me it was one of their fans that got it all started. And of course the problem is in these old gyms like Barton has and we have the floor is here and that bottom bleacher is here and they're right there. And kids are kids, you know, they can't take that heckling like a grownup might could.
And this guy was just at them at him the whole game. And I really think they should have removed that fan. Uh now to prevent that here, I met with David Mackey and I met with uh Mr. uh Mr. Maintenance guy, Mr. Woods. They hang out there for a minute. And we're going to tape off the bottom bleacher and not let anybody sit there. I think that would put at least a little distance between that bleacher and the floor. I wish we could tape off the bottom, too, but I'm afraid that'll cut down on our seating capacity too much. Uh, and it might not help any. I don't know. But it it's I liked what you said about the zero tolerance for fans coming out on the floor. Uh, the adults often cause way more
problems at game than the kids do. >> Yeah. So, we're going to try that. And I don't know, it might not work. All right. [clears throat] Uh, I've got a board meeting at the co-op tomorrow. We've ordered the plaque for the elementary. They told Angie it should be around $1,000. Did they give you any idea when it'd be finished? >> He didn't. >> Okay. We're having our uh breakfast honoring our minority uh employees on Friday morning, December the 19th. in the uh library at the elementary school. Now, we had tabled the camera quotes from last month and we had already put the agenda together when we got all those quotes in today. So, I'm just going to do the camera quotes under old business. Uh I'm going to let Erica tell you about these quotes.
I put a little packet um on your by your thing before the meeting started. Brian and Brian's not here because he's out today, but um he and I before Thanksgiving break, we >> we don't have old business listed over there. >> You know, we don't. >> Someone make a motion to suspend a rule so we can take up the camera quote. >> Motion by Mr. Second. Second by Scott. All in favor say I. >> Oppos. [snorts] >> Okay. Um, Brian and I met with a whole bunch of different companies before Thanksgiving break. So, I've got four quotes here that we got for bus cameras. And so, what what we have right now is kind of an outdated system. The cameras are not the greatest. And then, um, whenever something happens, Brian has to actually physically
go to the bus, pull out a big tape that's there that's recording everything. and then we have a reader and says take it into the office of the principal and put it in this reader. It's kind of a hassle. There's no way to look at it any other way. So the systems that we are interested in will have like um they'll have wireless connectivity. So the buses are collecting data as they're driving and then whenever they pull back into the lot, they'll connect to a wireless access point we have at the bus garage and download all that video. So if it needs to be pulled, you just go online. So that would give our principles and Dr. Hubble the opportunity to pull the video as well as Brian so he wouldn't have to go running
and pull that stuff out of the bus every time. And then um the other thing that he was really looking for in this camera system is some features of routing so that we can make it a little bit easier on our substitute bus drivers if there's a routing system on there to show them where to go that they're to pick up students here and there. And so that's what we were really looking for when we did these um these calls. And honestly, I don't know a whole whole lot about that stuff cuz Brian is more the expert than I am because I don't know a lot about buses. But um the the top quote is the one we would like to go with. It's KLC. They are the same company that we have our security
cameras with. And so there they're people that we work with all the time. But also their system has everything that Brian was looking for built into it. They're going to be um five cameras on every bus and they're 360 cameras and so you don't have blind spots. So right now we often have blind spots whenever they're reviewing they have blind spots. So this we won't have blind spots with this. And then the microphones pick up a whole lot better. The video is really super clear. I was really impressed with it. Um and then um the other [clears throat] thing that it has is that where it's automatically downloading. So they have the rowdy built into their software and then I highlighted their total price at the bottom. If you look at the other quotes, the
the reason that we chose them was one because their price and then also um Loneoke has this system and Miss Kathy that's their uh transportation director over there. Brian went over and saw her system and actually got to play hands-on with it and her show him and she gave him some real honest feedback about what she liked and what she didn't like about the system and she said she was overall pleased with it. So that's the one that we wanted to go with. The other ones we watched um this nationwide they um their quote was a lot more expensive. It's on the third page I think. um the second page, sorry, it's $72,000. So, it's a lot more expensive. That's just not even budgetable for us. Transportant is the same. It's an awesome system. We
really liked it, but it's just way out of our price range. And then the last one is Angel Tracks. It's actually cheaper than this quote for KLC, but they do not have and do not ever plan to have that routing feature built in. And with our shortage of drivers and the way Brian is having to switch people around and have them double up on routes, sometimes they just don't know that route that they're driving very well. And that's just going to be a big benefit to us to have that. >> So this is coming with a screen that mounts in the bus. >> Um this uh yes, that's what it'll have a little thing that mounts in the bus on there. And then um the other the other thing there's a separate deal that comes
with this that has a live lookin feature as well. So Brian will be able to or the administrators looking alive at a bus at any point when they're on the route. And so it's a pretty good system as far as as far as I'm concerned. It had everything that he wanted in there and it has a lot it's a lot more convenient. >> Is the audio going to be pretty good on it? The audio is very good on these. >> Brian knows how to work all this computer stuff. >> Well, >> you're telling me Brian? >> He actually he has done a whole bunch of research and he has he has really embraced this because he knew far more than I knew about this stuff whenever we sat down to do that. And then also
having [clears throat] KLC, this is another benefit to them. um nationwide and transport and and angel tracks. None of them are based out of Arkansas. And so whenever we ask them about installation, they were talking about contractors and that they train them, but we want the company to install our stuff and we'll be able to call them. And so that's what KLC offers is they will install their own equipment and they will be our tech support as well. And they are Intex Arcana, but when we need them with our cameras, they show up and they show up quickly and they take care of things. Well, that track record means a lot. >> It means a whole lot. >> I've used them in the past and it's it's an extra. >> Is there any type of
monthly fee for any of this stuff? >> There's no monthly fee on um what we are choosing to do. There is um an extra program they have. It's called Touchdown and it is basically like a health checkup for your bus camera system. We have so few buses. We Brian, he's hands- on and he's going to know if it's working or not. And there's an annual fee on it, but it's not really even something that's necessary for us. But with what we would get, there's there's um there's not an annual fee on this. >> And it's to the point now in public schools where you have to have a good camera system. And we have uh figured out we can split this into two different funds and I think we'll be all right on it. >>
So we don't have any of that uh protection money anymore. We go through all that. Well, I think we have some safety mining. >> Well, we can No, we don't. We're out of this >> grant. We're out of >> I can take a little bit probably out of ESA. I need to look at the budget. >> Oh, okay. >> But then the rest will come out of the Medicaid. >> Okay. All right. >> Who you recommend? >> Yeah. I'm recommending that we go with KLC based on customer service and >> fast track record. Can we afford it? >> Yeah, we got it. >> Scott, it's almost to the point where you can't afford not to. Senator Senate recommends KLC if you want to make a motion. >> I make a motion under the condition that
she tells Brian that we don't like any of these and we start all over. [laughter] >> Tony has to come do a demo for y'all. >> I second motion. All those in favor say I. >> I post. >> One last item in the superintendent report. We've had six football players and made all conference. Jarvis Dreer, Jaquin Maize, Jordan Palmer, Mason Guest, Trey Chattton, and Will Hunter. And our basketball team beat Stgart the other night by, I believe, 10 points. So, we're blowing and going. And that concludes my superintendent report. >> New business. >> Yeah, we need to pay the ambulance for football season. Uh, and that's a little bit over what y'all allow me to spend without board approval. So, I would ask that you approve this payment of $60 to $125 to uh emergency
ambulance service incorporation. >> Want to make a motion? >> Motion by Scott Chi. Second. Second by Mr. Jo. All favor say I. Oppos 40. >> And we need to pay just $5818.83. >> Is this for coat rings? What? >> Yearbooks. >> Yeah. >> Want to make a motion? 58183. Mr. Jo make a motion. Need a second. [music] >> Second. Mr. Jo I mean Jones. All in favor say I. >> Oppos. 40. >> And then we uh need to pay Philips Community College $5,943. This is for our students getting college credit. Concurrent credit. >> So I make a motion 5,943 U.A. Phillips County. Motion by Mr. Bobby Jones, second by Scott Ch. All in favor say I. I for >> Okay. And we need to pay the co-op a payment of $10,581.66 >> just for >>
services that they offer us. We'll >> make a motion. Motion by second. Second by we have all favor say I. Four of them. And we got to fix the lawn mower at Greenway. $5,83.81. >> Make that motion by Mr. Joy. >> Second. Mr. Bob Jones. All say I >> opposed. Same like sign. >> All right. The commercial washing machine has bit to dirt. It's 30 years old. And I had no idea these things are so expensive. >> Really? But, uh, we need to buy a new washing machine. And let's see. My packets all scrambled up here. Which one were we going to go with? >> The one from CES services. I think >> 10,000. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Let me that. >> It's not Allied. It's the other company. >> Okay. I'm getting there. Central.
>> Okay, we're going with which company did you say, Angie? >> Central Laundry. >> Central. Yeah. And it is going to be $16,843 plus tax. >> Does it fold? >> H. >> Does it fold the clothes too? >> No. I wish it did. >> It's a 45 lb machine. >> 16,000. What? $16,843 plus tax. This one you recommend? >> Yes, that's the one I recommend. >> Someone make a motion approve 16,843 plus tax for new washing machines for the I guess high school sports program. >> Motion by Mr. Add second. >> Second by Scott Ch. All in favor say I. hose lock sign for >> we could have gotten a bigger one but then we would have overloaded the dryer so we got one that would be compatible with the size of the dryer >>
be front loaded >> I imagine yeah >> I had no idea that cost that much just a newer model >> yeah it's the same company and all and if you know I doubt that this new one's going to last 30 years because that just doesn't happen anymore more, but >> believe we got our money's worth out of the old one. Uh, I have three uh resignations under personnel that I would ask you to accept. Uh, Charles Chattton has asked to be released from basketball duties. So, I would make the motion that you release him from the basketball duties aspect of his contract. I'll >> make a motion. Motion got second. Second, Mr. Bob D favor say I >> oppos 40. >> Uh Christina Jones handed me her resignation this morning effective the end of this
semester. I would recommend that you accept her resignation. >> Make a motion motion by Mr. Jo. I need a second Jones. All in favor say I. world. Uh Marie Kernney at the high school is uh gave me her letter of resignation this morning. It's uh that'll be effective Friday, the end of the semester. I make a motion. I would make the recommendation that you accept that resignation. >> Make a motion. Motion Mr. Robert Jones. Second. Second. Scott. All in favor say I. I. >> Oppos. Someone make a motion to adjourn. >> Mr. Second by >> Mr. Jones. All in favor say I. Oppos.
