001We are all >> [laughter] >> You just stay over there. You'll be all right. >> [clears throat] >> I'll look at the report today. I I do have a couple of weeks and come back to you. >> Okay. I'll check register. All right. So, one of the things that's on there is the fuel that we I guess is that is that about what we buy monthly on fuel? Well, I don't Obviously, the price is higher now. I want to say they fill it up twice. Diesel, gas just once. Okay. One of the things that and Caleb would be able to probably look up and speak more to, but I'm sure you guys buy a fuel by the transport load at least at times. Um depending on how much we're buying, it's if we had the

002capacity to be to buy by the tank load. I mean, it's generally I mean, it varies by a dollar a gallon uh cheaper. It's our tank 1,000. I think it's 1,000. It's significantly cheaper usually when I buy by the transport load. It is. >> [clears throat] >> I just some things I would I would it would come to mind real quick. Um about one I don't know what kind of the approvals you'd have to get from the state and such and the other for bulk tanks such as that, especially close to the school. Anything new construction would have to be, you know, EPA approved. >> EPA approved and all that sort of stuff, and I don't know um as far as by the time you got done with all that. Yeah. >> [clears throat] >>

003I don't know I'm kind of nervous about that much fuel sitting way out in the middle of nowhere. I don't know about that much gas at any time. But it's been a dream or been thought of before and it's you're you're you're right. Maybe we can get Caleb to come down on the price on. >> [clears throat] >> Well, anyways, I just that's something that as much fuel as we go through and as expensive as it is. And I I haven't done the math to know gallons. I hadn't sat down and And also spring is our busiest time. Yeah. It is by far. Okay. >> Ball games and field trips and stuff. Okay. Uh another quick question. So, if we go to on the check register, the uh go down to like the water sewer

004bills. So, it shows the elementary gym is more expensive than the elementary as a whole. The elementary gym and close to 86 wing. Okay. >> So, the meters are different. We have all that stuff cuz I felt the same thing, too. But majority of the elementary they are on different meters. >> Okay. So, all right. That makes sense. All right, the high school gym, is it on on the natural gas? Is it on its own meter, do you know? Because it was over a thousand dollars and I wouldn't think that heat would be running. So, the only thing I would be thinking of was be like water heaters. And if water heaters are just heating water all the time for people that aren't using it, that may be something that we can turn down or

005even turn off during the off seasons and not be spending a thousand dollars a month on that. Natural gas. I don't know about the the gym what would be unless the It'll be the heaters. But I I can't tell you just to be honest with you. You know, temperature-wise over this past month, you know, so we're talking about April. And I know we had some time. What about hot water heaters? Are they They wash clothes, but no, it's natural gas. >> It's natural gas. Yeah. Yeah, she has it. Cuz I look at that just to kind of compare this year to last year. Because I do a lot of washing. They do. They do. For more than just basketball in there? I I don't know. That's the thing that what I still got to me

006was this basketball has been over and so it just seemed off relative to the last year. But I can't tell you how much they watch it. And I'm going to say probably maybe softball still washes stuff over there. Okay. Um The natural gas has always been We have always kind of cuz one month it'll be extremely high the next month it'll be almost nothing. >> [clears throat] >> Some of that and I don't have natural gas, but some of that maybe kind of like the the water companies and everybody else the way they get rid that they're not as as um What am I trying to say? As regularly [clears throat] like they might cut forward if they get short a month maybe. But sometimes it hasn't made sense. We've had We've questioned that before.

007>> So they don't have the digital meters? I I don't I know they they do on some. I don't know if they do in town. Um no they're not digital, but they have a like our agra meters they they don't physically read them anymore. They have a truck that drives around and pulls it to it somehow or another. I don't know how that works, but and I don't know if they do that in town or not, but um Well, that was just something that stuck out to me. It all that one usually always sticks out one way or the other. And then the last question I had on the check register, um how are we structuring our arrangement with Jeremy Stone. This is a pretty a lot of a lot of payments to >> Well,

008I mean he's an engineer architect and so When did I present Jeremy to y'all? That we voted that he would be our project lead on that. Yeah. I mean we paid him what? Mr. Johnson, could you show that check history again? Um go down to where it's $103,000 is. It's right under the natural gas. I'm sitting here looking at it. Yeah. So, yeah. $7,000, $2,300, another $2,000. So, over $11,000 for Which, you know, we have to use an engineer >> Yeah, yeah. I I understand. Yeah. I mean how >> It's always a percentage of the cost of the I'll show you this contract. >> Okay. Yeah, I'd be curious. It just it When when you don't see work happening and then you see all these fees, it's starting to start to Maybe when all the

009work starts, I'll feel less like a knee-jerk reaction to that, but that just seems >> that Yeah, that one was that one was the ticket booth design bid. Yeah. Okay. And then the football bid letting when we opened the bids, the initial bids on the pavement. >> Mhm. And then the other one was the football ramps. Got you. Okay. Yeah, if you don't mind which one every time I go to see his contract. That's all I had on the financials. Um building fund. And this is Did you say this? >> Yeah, yeah, I I did. I The way that you summarize the other funds is is a good visual. And so I was just thinking that the the sequential order of it would be helpful on this, but I don't want to create double work.

010I mean, I can I can look at this and figure it out. >> Right. And that's just by based by months. So this is based on years, and which we didn't get the construction on in a year. Right. >> You say what? >> But if we did month a month over a month view or something, I mean it would it would be helpful just to kind of see the activity. So this right here includes with that fourth payment on the H vac. So that's everything that should be coming out for H vac, right? >> Correct. Correct. >> And then the 200,000 will go into the general fund. Well, it'll be in our building fund, but I mean, so we passed a resolution. I guess it's my first year here. Anything over 750,000 we move it

011to the building fund. Now we may open a 3200 fund just so that we're not messing with construction fund. So we know where that's at. Because I want to say that total right there would be a minus I want to say we started the building fund this year at maybe 181, 185, cuz we spent 260 Was it 261 and change football lights out of the building fund. And 25. I think so. Okay. And so [snorts] that's just general maintenance and repair out of the building fund? Well, that was the football lights that we did. Well, yeah, but the what the building fund that you have now is It was all put in 3,000. >> Okay. And so we don't touch what we're touching right now on building fund is strictly construction project stuff. >> Okay.

012>> You put it into It's 3,000 fund to differentiate it that why you see this is here, this is here. Yeah. And we don't touch the other unless I mean, right now they won't touch the other because we have the bond money to do to do stuff with. Mhm. Okay. >> That helps us build our regular building fund up. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, that's That's good. And so, what did you say about the reimbursement for the H vac? What that will go into the building fund? >> It will go. I mean, we can sort where it's at. I mean, I'll just say this, like our building fund was low. Mhm. I mean, when we were here >> It was very low. Yeah, and and so, my goal was to build that up. Yeah. Yeah. Well, wherever

013it goes, it's it it'll be positive. >> Right. Right. So, I was just curious where to see it reflected. What we don't want to do is, you know, forget that that you know, see that come in as a non-recurring revenue >> Right. and think that all of a sudden there was this miraculous budgetary performance >> when it was, you know, really just the result of this, which is good. It's still positive. It's just you we just don't want to let it conceal Right. Right. you know, the actual non-recurring revenue aspect of it. And our county won't let us do that anyway. Our audit will find it and and finance will pick it out, so. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, that's good to know. I what you're say I think what you're saying that they don't they don't

014allow us to do things like that, so. Oh, they got a hold on. Is there anything else on the financials? If not, I need a motion to approve the financials as presented. Motion. Second. I have a motion and a second. All those in favor say aye. Aye. Any opposed? >> [clears throat] >> Motion carries. Moving on to the action items. Okay, first thing is the approval of assurances. And this is through uh IDFR federal money or sped money. And ask for you to approve that, saying we're going to spend the money what we say we're going to spend the money on or what we can spend the money on. Did you guys have a chance to look over that that wants to? Anybody have any questions? This is pretty much a standardized It's the same.

015This is This is our Title 1 money. This is our 6702 or sped money. Nobody has any questions. I need a motion to approve the assurances under those two acronyms as Mr. Waymire presented it. Motion. Second. I have a motion and a second. All those in favor say I. I. Any opposed? I'll just let you continue. >> Okay, next thing student insurance. This is still with Health Special Risk and Company. Same rate, same company we've used for the past 2 years. It's a rate of $9,283. Does it still have the Does it still the same that that has the rider for the volunteers and all that stuff? >> Yes. Okay, cuz that became an important issue at one time. >> [clears throat] >> Um So basically this is a standard renewal for Did it Did

016it go up? >> No, it didn't. It stayed the same. Man, anything that stayed the same. It didn't go up last year either. I don't think it did. That's why I was asking. I'm shocked. This is year 34. Um So like I said this is just a standard renewal. Um Anybody have any questions? If not, I need a motion to approve the insurance for cost of $9,283 for the next school year. Motion. Second. I have a motion and a second. All those in favor say I. I. Any opposed? All right. And the next one is contract for services through Clearly Speaking. They do our speech, OT, and PT. There's the rate, which they will bill if students have Medicaid. If they don't, then we pick it up. That's pretty much just another standard renewal, isn't

017it? >> right. Long time. It's been a while. Long. It's been many, many years. Uh anybody have any questions? If not, I need a motion to approve the services for Clearly Speaking for the next school year at a rate of 11608 per hour for if it's our cost, apparently, if insurance doesn't cover it. Is that correct? Do I have to abstain? Do you want to? Have to stay out of the voting? Probably. I guess [clears throat] we should make note of that that Caleb's going to abstain from the vote. So, did I Did I even get a motion? Did I ask for Need I guess I need a motion. Motion. And then second. >> Second. All those in favor say aye. Aye. Any opposed? Okay, and then the last one is a Chromebook uh recommendation

018to purchase 80 Chromebooks for 20 elementary high school. This is using our ESA money, enhanced student achievement money. Uh it's not the lowest bid, but there is a rationale that Mr. Schnatter put there. I [clears throat] read that and I I think we had the same conversation last year. That it gives us a opportunity to work on them and all that ourselves. So, that would be my recommendation. Eva City at $47,180. >> It was in the thing. How many is that? They just need to >> 80. 80. Okay. Um anybody have any questions about that? So, is this just new that will be filtered just to replace the old? >> Just replacements. What do we do with the old ones? Well, >> Part them out? Yeah, we'll part them out. If there's ones, we'll kind

019of keep them. Our Our plan is now is if 40 of them's going to go to kids and stay with kids. Okay. So, I have a plan. Nobody has any questions, then I need the approval to purchase 48 Chromebooks from Vivacity in the amount of $47,180. Motion. Second. I have a motion and a second. All those in favor, say aye. Any opposed? Motion carries. Okay, my report. Numbers right now we're at >> [cough] >> 21 kids. K-12 we're still at 19. This is at um May the 11th. Facility update. I told you earlier about the H vac. Hopefully we'll get that partnership money. They'll do the ramps and the steps on the football field hopefully within the next 2 weeks. I do have a diagram of press box. Press box? Or not press box, but

020restrooms, ticket booth. We didn't tear that down before. And then looking at numbers to kind of keep this project to a minimum, we would have to keep our restrooms that we got. We'd do some work on them. But for us to just do these, you see in the ladies we've got six spots and we got four urinals and two toilets for the men. And so there will be a breezeway in between that with the ticket booth in front. You know I Listen, I got to be visual here, so Well, he Jeremy wanted And then bathrooms you said they would be like that. Yeah, you'd walk through and you can kind of see where the doors are. So the way I'm thinking it's going to be kind of like that is toward the football field cuz

021that looks like the barriers, the blockers. Which way is toward the football field? Like that. But the the biggest question is are we good at keeping the home bathrooms. Well, So, you're saying we have to keep the home bathrooms and we have to do >> going to have to expand it. I think it's fine, but I think doing a little bit of work to the home bathroom >> No, I don't know. We need more than a little bit. Well, the biggest the biggest issue there is whether or not um I mean, they're obviously not ADA compliant the way they are. And if we ever touch them up, then you got to go ahead and do them completely. Um that's why we're doing what we're doing with the with the bleachers, correct? And that's why we're

022[clears throat] doing what we're doing with the parking lot. I mean, Um No, I you know, when I first came here, we we touched it up. And it was better. >> yes. It was better, but no, I think you have to come in and everything's new. Yeah. I think I think it makes a lot of sense and I think that the home crowd, there'll be some that would like the convenience of just being able to step down there. >> You know, some may want to walk a little further to get to the newer >> I mean, wouldn't care as much as a woman. A woman might would go ahead and walk the distance to the newer bathrooms. >> [clears throat] >> It It depends if they've got kids or And I can't remember um there's

023one similar built like this that way somewhere at a school cuz I've been to been to a game um where you walk the where the the ticket booth and stuff was like it was just like a straight through breeze way the bathrooms were It's up in that part of the world somewhere, but around March Yeah, I don't think it's March. It may not be March, but it's one up in that part of the state that's got >> So, you don't have bathrooms with their No, it's off to the side. In Cross County? >> Off to the side. Mhm. It's off to the side, too. Yeah. Those bathrooms under the bleachers too big to do like family bathrooms? Probably what? Like a family bathroom. You know how you have a mother with four kids and they're

024all going to the bathroom together. I mean, I'm just asking. One of them. I mean, one just just take one of the two. Could be if you If you If you had these, I mean So, this is going to kind of sit in the center, right? Yeah, kind of um where they you know, where the sign is right now. It's a little bit Just to the right of it. >> looking at the field, it'd be to the left. >> Left, okay, yeah. Same as what I was saying, yeah. So, is this the whole building or are there only No, he didn't He didn't want to put that on there until y'all agreed that, hey, this is fine, and then we'll use the home locker. I think the size is Yeah, I mean, the number of

025facilities if we're using the home as well. I mean, the existing as well. Yeah. I mean, I think I think this is great. So, how much more money is this? >> [laughter] >> That's the kicker. Says, right now the layout would require the district to maintain one set of bathrooms. But, it would cover help the cost The building layout would cost 325,000. We'd be closer to 500 if you replaced and added the entire number required. So. So, we'd be saving 325,000. Well, we'd have to spend some money on that, you know. I mean It's 325 if we keep the ones Right, right. >> that we currently have. And yeah. >> It'd be [clears throat] 500 if we got rid of those. You know, we've looked at options down there before. Um and I don't remember

026why we decided it wouldn't work of of expanding those bathrooms into what used to be the concession stand and different options. I don't know if that was before you came or not, but um Was that before you came? Yeah. That was when uh Dr. Wyatt was here. Okay. We We looked at, you know, cuz there there were just storage space between it but we used to have a concession stand and maybe moving them on in, but there's no reason if you're going to if we're going to do a a total redo, and now we know we got a couple hundred thousand dollars to play with for for something like this, or not play with, but that that it would cost us. Um you could do a lot of work to what we have. That wouldn't

027cost 200,000 even if you completely change the approaches, make everything up to up to par, and the only other thing and you know, people aside from them not being modern facilities, the only other thing you hear is that they're not heated, air conditioned. Well, we wouldn't put air in those, but we'd probably put heat. We need heat. There's been too much, you know, >> Well, that would just keep things from freezing. Um but you know, a lot of a lot of people Now, the bases do have heat in there. Yeah, I would think. Yeah. But you know, even past that, um those little split units aren't really that horribly bad, anyway. Um so do we have to make a decision on this tonight, or is it just okay? I mean, y'all don't have to vote

028on anything tonight. Y'all are good with that, and then I will tell him. The layout looks like it makes a lot of sense to me. I like the idea of this. I like when we have visitors come in, we're all coming in the same place. They travel a ways, they can go to the bathroom here. They will never go over on the other side, that where the old is. To the concession stand. If they get hungry and thirsty enough, they'll go over there. But it does but it will cut down on that cross traffic. And then I'd like to I'd like to say that if this is pointed towards the football field, then the ticket booths will be an addition. I want I I wonder you don't he didn't have the whole thing put together.

029>> Well, he wanted approval of saying, "Okay, this is good, or y'all wanted to make it bigger. You know, I don't think it needs to be bigger. No, this is fine. Well, the only reason it had to be bigger is if y'all did want to do the old bathrooms. If we didn't Because [clears throat] we'd have to expand it. We don't have enough toilets right now for our seating capacity. Yeah, there's How many are there in the women's only? I've never seen three. Two or three? How many? There's three and then I don't know if I'd say two urinals and and one day. Yeah, I think you're right. But now, I like the way this looks and I like I think we do this and keep what we have with the old and spruce it

030up a little bit. How does this I'm trying to think how how does this fit in the layout of the football field? How how much parking lot are we we're going to You're not going to lose any parking lot. We're not losing any parking. There's going to be enough room You have that whole south end zone back there. Right in the gate. Yeah. That's where the You know where those two double gates are? I think he's saying it's going to be kind of right there where they're >> of it. To the left. See, my OCD's going to flare up if it's not in the center. >> [laughter] >> The only way it could be in the center would be [clears throat] to Well, that's that's that's why I was Yeah, okay, I see. I missed

031that part of the conversation a while ago. Take up some parking lot. Well, yeah. It had to take out some parking lot if you did center because of the track. Right. So, you don't want to lose parking space. Then there's something out past that. What is that? Used to be something to do with the track behind the goal post. What is There's something back there too like a That's where they had a hot shot. So, yeah, there was something back there. There's like a little pavement or something. Yeah, so that um When he does that final plans, I'll just say show us exactly. And and you know, again, this is kind of getting off a little bit to the side, but this building is going to be orange based on the the picture. The girls

032softball building over there is orange and then the current concession is that early 10 We've We've already talked about that. Yeah, that's you know, I would like honestly even underneath our home bleachers tan, I'd like for that to be black. Yeah. And then get somebody to paint that the band concession which would match our press box. Yeah, all that needs to And that can't I mean that can't be that expensive to have that painted. It just I mean if we're talking about 500,000 here >> [laughter] >> a little bit of paint and stuff. I mean it needs to be dressed up. Mhm. That was last year I think we were talking about that brown color in the concession stand. Um But there's no way this would be done by football season. >> Uh ticket would

033they do the ticket booth? Hey, it wouldn't be ready. I can't see it being ready. Okay, okay. I didn't think it would be ready anyway. But yeah, okay. No, that would be a start right after football season's over or something. >> I can I can get a time frame, but we'd have to put it out for bids and go from there, too. So I don't know. I know he talked to Strickland Plumbing just to kind of get some rates. Okay. It depends on I mean what do y'all think? If we're going to do it this time, do it. I would agree with Mark. This is something we can't look down, you know, 5 years from now or I talked to my contacts over at Sloan Valve, too. And they you know, while they aren't committing

034to donating anything, I do think that at minimum we could probably get a significant discount on all the fixtures. So we'll work whatever we can to try to make sure, you know, not that the fixtures are the biggest cost by any means, but everything adds up. Right. Right. And the uh pavement bid opening is Tuesday, next Tuesday. So, what is that? That'll be the 26th. We've got four so far. Well, they took the plans. Okay, so they haven't submitted on them yet, but they took the plans. Okay. And then another guy came up the other day and he said Atlas recommended him to come in there. That's interesting. Yeah. What's his name? Uh The guy that called? Yeah, the guy that called I got to call him back. Give it on my day. I want

035to say he's from Jonesboro. I think they recommended me some guy from some that day that we talked to that dude at the grinder. Can we look it up? No, it's fine. >> No, that's okay. We can look it up. And then attendance incentive classified, we were eight out of 27, certified 13 out of 52, bus drivers three of 10. Upcoming events, we had academic awards. Uh I do and I don't know you don't have to make a decision now. June 22nd is our next board uh meeting. I'll be on vacation. So, we can move it anytime that week before. If we move it the week after, we still get we could do it on Monday or Tuesday, but it's up to y'all. But, I'll let you look at your schedule. Just [clears throat] the

036June 15th. June 15th. Would be a good day. I mean It's just a week ahead. Yeah. I'm going to make Um I'm good with the 15th. 15th. Works for you? Yeah. AM I'll be on the farm all summer long. Um my romance pre-K 19 K6 294 had pretty much all of our field trips the past couple weeks. Except for tomorrow with third grade they're going to the Memphis Zoo. Uh we had field day on Friday which I think was great. It was the best one definitely since I've been here. And had our graduations today, which were also really good. Glad we got those those taken care of. Last day of school is Thursday, and then last day of for teachers is Friday. And then academics, we are still waiting on Here, I'll print it off

037a copy if you want it. I've got mine. Um we're still waiting on some of our ELA scores for 3-6. Um I think I'm waiting on one for third grade and I can never remember eight for fifth grade. Uh but have all of our math and science scores in. So, math um grades 3-6 um all finished with their proficiency level above the state average, which is really great. Uh fourth grade had the highest, they had 77% of their kids proficient and followed by sixth grade that had 74%. And so, those were good. Third grade 47% and fifth grade 46. But again, all of math was above state average. Um science not as good, which it's been well on the lower end. Third grade had 43% proficient, which is Ms. Robin. Um that was the highest

038grade proficiency, followed by sixth grade that had 41%. Uh both those grades were pretty close to state average, but not quite there yet. Um and then like I said, still waiting on third and fifth grade as far as ELA. But um science, looking at a couple of options. Um there were a couple of teachers who came to talk to me about some things. Uh so, kind of trying to see what's out there. Most of what I have found is very very expensive and um there's not really anything that's tailored towards how the Atlas test is actually given to the kids, cuz it's not just science knowledge. It's reading and can you click here and drag there and click on this and manipulate charts and things like that. And so, um trying to figure out some

039different resources for the kids to hopefully help bring those up as well. And then discipline um okay. add to to that two more 16 referrals disrespect physical aggression fighting ISS was given nine times OSS two more on that up to six times and that is all that I have for you. Quick question. So So who all are our son's teachers? Okay, third grade is Miss Brogdon fourth grade is Kristen Wright fifth grade Carla Reynolds and sixth grade Wanda Dodger. And do we know what the other schools our peer schools are doing at this time? Yeah, we looked I know that I talked to Des Arc which is I think it last year and they were using a free program but last year I don't think their scores were very scores are low science across the

040state I'll say that and so I am just trying to look at there's I think it's called mystery science but I don't really know if I'm sticking to what I like and then we do have generation genius which I think is really good especially for third grade um Is that what Miss Tyler used last Miss Tyler used that yes and I know that Miss Brogdon has used that as well and so trying to find just as much as I can um I know IXL has some things that are specifically for Atlas so looking to use that a little bit more so the kids get used to the format of the science. So is that I mean are those things that like change the day-to-day curriculum or are you talking about that would supplement Both potentially.

041Looking at all options. Good. It has been a while since my kids have been in third grade but and of course all this is down on the Chromebook right? >> Yes. And so my question is and I don't think my kids did testing on the Chromebook in third grade. How prepared are they moving into that test of their computer knowledge and maneuvering a Chromebook cuz how much do they do on the Chromebook day-to-day, week by week? >> Right, well, this year we've used Lexia, which we're not going to use that next year. We're going to strictly use IXL, but they they are on Chromebooks. Not a ton during the day, but they are on them. And so they can navigate them relatively well. And then I know the state is working on adding more stuff

042into the Atlas classroom tools to help the teachers, but there's practice tests on there that they've gone through with the kids and they show them up on their screens like how to click, how to scroll up and down. >> confident that they know how to? Reasonably well, yes. As much as third Well, maybe even kindergarten, especially the kindergarteners do this for their tests, so. Cuz kindergarten, they use it for their district. >> It's a two-edged sword. Like you don't want them on the Chromebook too much, but if you don't put them on them enough, they're not going to know how to use them for the test, so. Okay. We don't know when all the scores will be available. No, well, third through sixth grade, the ELA, it's slowly coming in. Like we had three or

043four come in third grade and then two or three today for sixth grade. So I'm hoping soon. I don't know when our K2 ELA scores are going to be. They posted those, but then they pulled them down because so many people were complaining that they didn't feel they were accurate, which I will say from the ones I looked at, there were some kids that I felt like that did not show how they could have >> Cuz it's been graded by a Yeah, right. Yeah, so they're going back and they're hand scoring a lot. So K2 ELA, no idea when we're going to get that. Talk about our third grade summer school. Yes, so third grade, with the new Atlas law, if they don't score above If they score a level one, we're supposed to retain

044them except for a few good cause exemptions, which we do have some of those. That is kids who have been on an IEP for two or more years, dyslexia two or more years, already been retained, things like that. So we've got four kids that are going to be taking some intensive summer school for a little over 3 weeks with Ms. Harper. She's going to She has a couple programs that she's found that she's going to use with them. So, it'll be about 3 weeks, about 3 and 1/2 hours a day, and then they're going to retest. If they retest and score a level two, then they're going to get to go on to the fourth grade. So, that's four kids. And like I said, we still have one more score to come in for third

045grade, but hopefully it's just those four. That's great. All right, thank you. Okay, high school, Coach Campbell's over at academic awards. Softball team got beat first round by Cutter in the playoffs 4 to 3. We had two students sign to continue to play. Morgan, she signed with Mineral Area College. Trey signed with Central Baptist College. Got a band banquet tomorrow. Got a athletic banquet Thursday. Did have a state champion in the month of May. I'm going to brag on this one. Right Bryson Waymire won a state championship. Competed against 26 lifters in Bentonville May 2nd from 2A to 7A. Uh He lifted in the 149-lb class. He weighs 138 lbs, and he won by 40 lbs. So, He is Oh, it's good. It's good. So, >> Listen, he's worked hard for that. >> Oh, he

046has. Well, he's he's been in it for 2 years, and he never wanted to lift with me cuz he's in football. Well, he's out of football, so he gets up every morning and lifts from 5:30 to 6:30 every morning. So, proud of him, and and just hopefully we have more kids. I know Coach Campbell's tried to get more kids on the football team, and I think he's going to take a team there. It's a It was a good thing for me when I was coaching and kids get to see other kids compete. Uh events, Atlas scores, I'm not going to go in detail. He did print off some stuff. We got to get better. Uh right now when I'm looking, and I'm just going to say we were better in state proficiency wise in three

047things. We were seventh grade math, we're at 51% the state was at 44. Eighth grade math, we were 41% the state was at 36% and science seventh grade science 48% and the state was 45% but I'll have coach go over this in our next board meeting in more detail but that's what we got. We had how many kids in elementary today? 39 39 kids so >> [laughter] >> My mine called it a year less than or yeah last Friday. She said she was done. >> [laughter] >> Get back to the agenda. Okay, [clears throat] the next thing on the agenda is personnel so we need to go into executive session at 6:42. Couple microphones anyway maybe. Yeah, your battery's laying on the table. Bad battery. Okay, we're going to come out of executive session at

0487:16 with no action taken. Motion. Second. I have a motion and a second. All those in favor say aye. Aye. >> Aye. Any opposed? Motion carries. Now, I'm going to need we will do these separate I guess. Um a motion to hire Miss Alexandria Irvine, I hope I got that right, as a elementary paraprofessional for the 26-27 school year. Motion. Second. I have a motion and a second. All those in favor say aye. Aye. Any opposed? >> [clears throat] [snorts] >> Also need a motion to hire three so uh summer workers uh for custodial, maintenance,

049and IT and other things as needed, I'm sure. So, Mr. Mason Whitby, Mr. Bronson Weimaraner, and Mr. Eli Norton. Motion. Second. I have a motion and a second. All those in favor say aye. Aye. Any opposed? >> [clears throat] >> Last but not least, we need a motion to hire Ms. Talise Harper as the McCoy Elementary School summer school teacher for the third grade. Motion. Second. I have a motion and a second. All those in favor say aye. Aye. Any opposed? Any more business before the board? Then we will adjourn by unanimous consent at 7:17.
