Again, meet around this table and Lord, as we come together this evening to honor some of our teachers that have dedicated their lives to teaching these students and doing the job that they do. We're thankful for the teachers that we have here. We pray that you continue to be with them, giving them the knowledge that they need to continue to teach these students and pray that you'll keep them safe and keep our staff safe, all of them. Our admin, our kids, especially over the summer. Forgive us our sins, Lord. In Christ's name we pray. >> Amen. >> Okay, first item on

the agenda is the privilege of acknowledging and awarding this year's merit pay recipients. And for that, we'll go ahead and go to Mr. Black. >> The at the beginning of this year before this year ever started of course I was jealous because my brother Fred ended up with a bunch of merit teachers and I didn't understand exactly how he did that. But then I found out that he he's designated as one of them hard areas to get teachers and all that kind of stuff. So, I just scratched him off. But I told I told the my principal said, "Make sure that we do what we're supposed to so these people can excel and so they can get some of this money." And we've this year is beyond what I thought we would do. I just

want to commend all the teachers in this room and and and all the teachers we have cuz some of them some of our teachers weren't in a position to be able to get this or they probably would have gotten it too cuz 3 years experience, I know at least one more that would have got that, probably more than that to to do that. And I've got food for us after this after we do this after this meeting adjourned. Got you all will something that I'd like for you to stick around and and have a little bit of food with us, a little bit of drink. No, not alcohol. >> [laughter] >> I'm not sure right now. We might some of us might need that, but the school does not allow but anyway, I want to

start out with the ones I've got on the list. Now, this will probably be the only paper check you'll ever get from North Pole School District. And uh I'm going to start I'm going to start out uh Miss Trotter She got 1,500 bucks. >> [laughter] >> Miss Saline >> [applause] >> She got 1,500 bucks. 005How have you made Not exactly what I said, but I said, "What have you done to Miss Bradbury?" And she said, "I wanted to go to kindergarten." >> [laughter] >> Miss Modi got 20 She got 3000 dollars. >> [applause] >> And Miss Shetty. >> [laughter] >> She got 3000 dollars. >> [applause] >> And he's not here tonight. I really appreciate what you've done for the school district and for their kids. And We're still getting scores and I saw that the governor was on the uh uh TV the other night and she was talking about how great a job she'd done with the

learns act. You know, but I did We do 27,000 dollars for this school district. Uh you know, for the people that excel in. And like I said, we had some people that couldn't qualify for it. Some because they hadn't hadn't taught 3 years or they hadn't Maybe a grade that wasn't They They weren't allowed I mean, it don't They don't count. I asked Miss Bradbury going out because I think the K2 is what I understood. You If you're in the K2, you don't qualify You can't qualify right now. But you But you will uh be able to qualify later on. And I just wanted like I said don't run off place and and I just want to thank all of you for the hard work you've done. I want to thank my principals for the

hard work you've done. Ms. Jones, uh she pushes everybody and she tries to help everybody and I want to thank her for that too. Uh and uh I've got I've added an item I've asked Mr. I used to add an item to my agenda tonight or the agenda tonight and we don't have to have to have a special meeting next week and I've asked him to do a bus purchase. 20 passenger bus and uh from the same company we bought the other two from. And I would now I tried to explain we've got one we've got one bus that's handicap. We've got one handicap bus. Right now we don't have a wheelchair person. But Ferris got six. He didn't have any 2 years ago. So we don't know and I plan on running that low

bus through Calico. Cuz I've got a bunch of kids and we accepted 10 the other night on premature somewhere. So and they're going to pick up some of our kids through that area too. And uh if I got a handicap kid I can't run that bus through there. I've got to have that handicap bus. I asked him to do a 20 passenger from uh uh same people that we got it from. I sent you the link to that I think. It was 36,900. And uh has to be on the Good recommendation. >> I'll make that motion. >> I'll make a second. >> Motion and a second to purchase the bus for $36,900. All in favor. >> Aye. >> Any opposed? All right.
