Hey, I want to give you a quick board recap after our meeting last night, regular April board meeting. At the meeting, we kind of had our consent agenda and and wasn't a whole lot in there. It's a couple things I want to point out. The district enrollment was 2231. That is actually up from last month. And also, we spent a lot of time talking about our new transparency page. Really want to encourage you go check that out. It's on our website. We spent 2 to 3 months creating that for you. All the way Everything in there is part of the state required information. Instead of you having to search for that, we created one place for you to go and see that. So, get a chance go check that out. Also on that page, you
can schedule an appointment with me. I have a link there go straight to my calendar. Or if you want to send suggestions, things that maybe we could put on there to make that page a little bit better. We have an email address at the bottom of that. You can click that email address and send that. Just want to keep you in mind that there are some things that we just can't share. But if that's the case, we'll let you know. Um, other thing that was approved in that consent agenda, we want to stay partnership with the federal grant program, continue that for the coming years. We rely a lot of heavily on that funding for our title one programs and things that we use. As far as action agenda, wasn't a whole lot there that
required any action. One of the things that we did approve, the board approved copy paper truckload bids. There were six of those bids turned in. American Paper and Twine was the lowest bid, so we did accept that bid. So, we are getting to a point where we do need to order another load of that paper. One of the things that was on the regular agenda to be approved that actually was tabled. We did have a discussion on security cameras and putting those in the classrooms. So, there was a good discussion around that. But we will come back next board meeting, the meeting in in and have another discussion around that topic. Uh we adopted a resolution to salute our military children and their families. We have 16 in our district and so we did that
resolution last night to recognize them in in April as the month of military month. Um outside of that the last actual action on the agenda was the approval of the license and classified salary schedules. Uh the big part of that for classified was we wanted to extend them going and continue extend them out to 25 years and so that's what we did and they'll match the certified moving forward on how many years they get paid out. Uh appreciate everybody checking this out. Again, we want to continue to be as transparent as we can, bring you different methods of hearing what took place at the board meeting. If you weren't able to attend or listen to the radio this morning. Uh so check this out. If you have questions, reach out. We'd glad to answer that.
Thank you.
