your change Clinic. and I And I wasn't the only parent to concern or sorry to express. And I wasn't the only parent to concern or sorry to express concerns about this and when we did we sent it both to our principals and to the school district. Um, I got a xplan. explanation that this is each jar. It's not something that the school puts on. Um, but I also have a picture here that says that all Flyers will be vetted and only things that the school board agrees with will be sent out to parents. Um, I didn't get any response from the school board. I think that's very upsetting. I think that we're entitled to an explanation. Um, and if we're upset an apology because I don't don't think that things like this a name change

clinic so it says are you a transgender non- it says, are you a transgender non-conforming individual and need help legally changing your name? Says the name change clinic will have 1 on. Says the name change clinic will have 1-on-1 legal consultation. children of all ages so this is inviting my 10 year old son to go legally change his name. And I don't think that this is something that needs to be run. run through the schools. This isn't about our personal beliefs. It's leaving our kids out of it and making sure that they're getting the education that they need. So I would like assurances that things like critical race Theory and talking about transgenderism and their sexuality and elementary school isn't going to make it into the curriculum. And so I just want to let you

guys know that if that does. this room will be much more full. I will leave a full opposition to that. So that's all I have to say. Thank you. Next up is Hi, good evening. FUSD board members and superintendent pens. My name is Amy Hagen. Um, thank you for the opportunity to express concerns that I have over recent knowledge when if Flagstaff Junior Academy, otherwise known as FJ. as fja families were informed of the um that as fja families were informed of the um, that the the lease would not be extended Beyond its current terms. Its current terms are March 31st 2024. terms are March 31st, 2024. We're aware of that. I believe there may have been a request from fja to FUSD to extend that that for a month-to-month and that extension was denied.

Um, my concerns are for just the youth in general, um, and they kind of flow through 4 cait. they kind of flow through 4 categories. What is the impact that's going to occur for the Um, is it Equitable? What is the equity involved in this? What is the mental awareness that we're going to need to be creating Andor preparing our children with and then where was the Strategic leadership in this decision? Um, you know the impacts it's still over 200 families. Um, the impacts it's still over 200 families, um into our to youths including FUSD families at large because there may be siblings going to whatever school, um, you know, and let's not forget. These are pre-teen and teenaged. That's the hardest thing to say when you're trying to separate that teenaged a pupils who

are um, you know, they're entering this final stretch of this educational season, uh, these pupils. They're coid kids. Let's not forget that too. You know, I think that they know what what on the previously and quite frankly they're incred resilient. Thank goodness, but we're still dealing with that. Um, you know, the impacts are uproot. children during an important time right before State Testing. testing for all of our schools. So that certain has its impact. you know and and and the equity piece of this, um You know the the facility. You know, the the facility also houses a child care facility a program being uh funded for income eligible student. students both at Nu and Co Community College. So, you know, I'm concerned for that those youth in our community too. And where will they go?

Because that pilot program is not to end until the end of June. Um, the the mental awareness piece this this 1's hard this 1's tough, you know, the the kids at FJ they of this, um, you know that that they're going to be sent back and basically that's how a kid views it right that they're going to be sent back in Pryor. they're going to be sent back in prior to the school Year's End. Um, they're curious why they're asking us at the dinner table. Why is this happening? Um, they're concerned that they won't have a location to take to perform their state testing and that just starts to increase anxiety or create other similar emotions. Um, they're familiar when another another school was impacted by an emergency situation. needed to be relocated with KIPP

Elementary and they know that firsthand because the relocation occurred and and joined this the former Flagstaff middle school, so they they watched that that was some of their mental awareness of what they're feeling and experiencing with now this process. Yeah and and and with straight process. Yeah, and and with strategic leadership, I reviewed the January 23rd meeting when the Well, I I did review the January 23rd meeting just so you all know. It's labeled in Vimeo on the video as January 22nd. Thank you. Next up is Jason Carpenter? The fair handed. I'm not that's just how my week has been but thanks for giving me this opportunity to come and speak with you all. Um, this is my first time being here. Um, so I say that not as a casual thing, but this is

what brought me me uh to your board for the first time. Um, it's the same issue the fja Flagstaff Junior Academy move I have about 15 years cumulatively of being an FUSD parent. Um, I don't know board goings ons or processes and protocols I do. kids though. I know kids really well, um, and I know we are not here in this situation because of actions of this board at least to my knowledge. It's a situation we're in But there is a situation we are in a situation where there is opportunity to create some change to avoid some of what Amy Amy was talking about just now there's a lot of kids who are are beginning to Bubble Up with that stress of what's going to be to be happening as our winter starts winding down

and if there is anything that this board can do to help us avoid the learning loss, um, the stress the disruption in education that is impending right now we education that is impending right now, we would sure love your help and cooperation and making that happen, um, because it's it's being talked about and if there's anything that's available I know. There's budgets. There's timelines. There's commitments things that trickled into a whole lot of different levels. doesn't mean it's undoable and I I just hope that we're not feeling like the dye is cast and things are in motion. You're going to give us the opportunity to come here and talk because it feels good. But if there's opportunity. change to happen on your end to redirect the things change some timelines around like we all do

with all of our Lives all the time we create. all the time. We create new outcomes every day because of int intention and I'm asking for some intention by the board to help make some things happen. Um, help make some things happen, um to avoid my kids and their friends friends and the entire staff The Faculty from going through what I fear is about to have to be gone through so as a parent parent as a community member as neph us, parent as a community member as an FUSD parent and as math jaw parent, please here's J parent, please hear us out. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much. We do appreciate your your comments and concerns. moving on to consent agenda Does anything need to be pulled? Yes, ma'am. I have a couple

book, um vending machine for Kinsey I heard about this the other day, um at a city council meeting and it just sounds so cool. Basically it can kind of be cool. Basically, it can kind of be an incentive for kids where they can get. Um Tok. where they can get um tokens to be able to use in the book vending machine to get books new books brand new books. So, um, I just think that's really cool and I wanted to point it out. It's an awesome donation and hopefully we can get maybe more in other schools too. This is our second 1 is that correct? We have 1 at C Chris. I don't want to have that for a couple years. Yeah, I it's great. that for a couple years. Yeah. I it's great. I

Thank you very much action items. appointment of the assistant principal for Coconino High School school. Thank you. Thank you madam, president members of the board. So this evening we are recommending the appointment of Jonathan corbis as the assistant principal of Coconino High School. Um, he is actually a graduate of Coconino high school and was eager to reapply um for this position, um and ultem and ultimately was selected as the um candidates. Um, Jonathan, um has been

working um in Tucson and has had a background in teaching of Science and then an mtss facilitator, um with Tucson unified, um in this last year has also been serving as an assistant principal. Um, so we're very eager to wreck. we're very eager to recommend his appointment this evening and I'm happy to answer any questions. Any questions from anyone? Is he in attendance? Yeah, Neither of the individuals were able to attend the CP. Thank you. All right. Do I have a motion to approve? a motion a motion to approve Give me a second. I'll second that all in favor any opposed. Hearing none motion passes. Thank you and welcome aboard yes, and yes, and then assistant principal for mems. Yes. Thank you. Um, so this evening we're also making the recommendation for for Dr. Claudia

Fletcher Lambert as the assistant principal of of Mount Elden Middle School. Um, she comes to us, um with a bachelor's degree in elementary education, um master's degree. degree and a doctorate in curriculum and instruction. Um, she's taught um internationally, she's taught, um internationally and is recognized as a um Mentor teacher of international teachers. Um, and is currently serving as the assistant principal at Pendergrass school district. And so, um again, we're very excited. about her joining our team and I'm happy to answer any questions that the board may have. any questions Please don't seem like terrific candidates. I did hear most of them. Absolutely. Do I have a motion to approve a motion to approve? Do I have a second? I'll second all in favor. I any opposed. hearing none motion passes. Thank you very much.

Thank you. And if I could just make a quick comment, I want to thank our director of home. our director of Human Resources. Don Anderson. She's guiding multiple, uh selection processes. Um, they're all in different phases and then there's several numbers for like from the school Community parents who give a lot of time to you know screen applicants time to you know screen the applicants, uh conduct uh both uh recorded or Video Anderson interviews a lot of time and uh, and and then provide great perspectives to our recommendations. So, thank you. So thank you. Yeah, thank you if I can just take a moment Christ. Christina. I keep getting these pop-ups in regards to the vote and then it says that there's vote. And then it says that there's an error so I just want

to make sure everything's good on your end. I want to make sure everything's good on your end. I have it on my end. I can track it later. Thank you. Thank of it now. Just want to make sure thank you. Okay moving on to Super. to superintendent performance pay so this is me. Um, as you all know the board met and we worked together to evaluate and discuss some and discuss some opportunities and some successes with Pensa and would like to offer performance pay bonus of It's not on here is it? I believe it's $4,000. so I will move to approve that. If anybody has questions or concerns. I just wanted to point out that the I talked to superintendent Pence about this, but the reason that the policies don't align with our new policies

in the exhibit is because it references your original contract when we did use that policy, um naming. Method so um, I will second though. Awesome. Thank you so much. much. I'd like to make a comment before the vote. Sure. Um super um superintendent, so I do appreciate your promptness and responding to concerns from the community and on various subjects and and forwarding copies on to the board. It's I find it very helpful. In reflecting on the 2 2024 goals and the midterm achievements I have concerns about the academic. achievement as evidenced by the fall to winter test scores and the safety of students who ride the buses. specifically 1 of our Middle School grade levels show negative growth in both reading and math. I do not feel. that beats the academic goal of all students

progressing. I do understand that these are midterm results and I am anxious to see the progress. of each grade level on the final Springs scores The safety of a specially older students on buses has been an ongoing problem. Well beyond this year. not having brought this promptly to the board's attention in past years and addressed prior to the Mandate of the State Department of Transportation is troubling. I know you are now focused on these issues. However, I do not find that the amount of the bonus compensation. recommended at this point in the year is Justified and therefore I will be voting no on this motion. Thank you very much. Do I have a motion to approve? You do. Oh, yes, I made that but you can make it again. Okay, do I have a second?

Okay. Do I have a second you seconded? We're all good. Um all all in favor, I I any opposed nay well motion carries. Thank you so much. All right moving on. This is a quick meeting superintendent's report. Yeah, and my report I provided an update about uh the winner. winner whether uh cancellations that we've had in the past. on weeks. Um so far, uh FUSD is cancel school a total of 4 days. days this winter season. Um, we'll continue days this winter season, um, we'll continue to monitor the weather as we move through and into spring. Um in our school calendar, uh for this year we have 2 days. designated for makeups. And so we'll utilize those days. April 22nd and May 10th and then uh for the next April 22nd and May 10th, and

then uh for the next 2, uh, we're going to dip into the Surplus instructional time that we are a crewing really every day. Uh, so we have uh more time, uh built up that's beyond what the state requires for in. Construction instructional time so I uh when we sent this message out to families yesterday. I heard kids cheering across town that they will not have to make up the next 2 days. Uh, and they will not have to make up the next 2 days, uh, and then uh in accordance with our um District policy and you know, we we with all the makeups we had last year. Uh, we were able to come up I think with a great plan that staff were able to transition to remote work after we exceed the makeup days

built into the uh calendar and from all reports from staff and our administrators those were productive days are able to are able to utilize the technology platforms that we have to to meet as a faculty in grade level teams or departments. Um, and also, departments. Um, and also, um, Have some of that individual planning time is they're adjusting their lessons because of the changes in the schedule. So that's an update of where we're at. So far this winter, right? Um, I looked at where we were at last winter at this time, and at that point we were at 10 days and we ended up with 12, uh cancellations last winter and um, it's not looking like it's going to be that kind of winter again. But yeah knock on wood for sure. I think we're

quite uh, I uh, I include information about kindergarten registration. We're excited to welcome new students and families to the flag. Flagstaff Unified School District, uh that process has started. It's an online registration, um system and then uh we have open uh, we have open houses all were rescheduled. They were supposed. supposed to be last week, uh, but the weather, um, Didn't believe it'd be safe or prudent to have them on. those evenings. So those have been rescheduled each. school's date and time is listed on our district website. Um, and then we just encourage families who have questions. Um, and if they're not able to come on the open house nights just contact the school and you can schedule a tour and and the staff there can address any questions. Um last Um last Monday, um,

it was the nicest day of the week before. before the snowstorm came we were able to take um a group which included some governing board members, uh myself District administrators and high school students to visit the Arizona State Capitol. And we had an opportunity to uh, tour the House of Representatives. Um, we had lunch there were several other Public School. districts there as well. Uh, there was a lunch program where we could learn about some of the issues. Uh that the legislature considers, uh related to public education. and uh And uh, we were introduced on the floor by our represent. representative SOI during the legislative session. So um on our district website on our district website we have um, uh list Uh listed some of f usd's legislative prior. would include um, um identifying a

Um, um, identifying a long-term fix to the aggregate expenditure limit. Um, also to Also to address accountability and transparency of the empowerment scholarship program. And then adequately and equitably funding our district school. schools. and um want to note is there. um want to note um a great partnership with Northern Arizona Healthcare and their office of philanthropy. They have donated 43 bleeding control stations. Um, that will be um placed, uh at all the school campuses and then any work sites so um, right outside the door, any work sites. So, um, right outside the door here to the boardroom. You may have noticed. Um, there is a a bleeding control kit. Um, control kit, um station in there which includes uh equip. equipment and supplies tourniquets gauze and there's multiple, um kits within that station so, multiple,

um kits within that station. So, um really grateful for the partnership. Um, I don't have the figure in in his valued over. I know it's over 25,000 of that Don. donation. Um, and also we've had a partnership for uh training, uh, stop the bleed training and that is continuing all of our nurses, uh are being trained and then we'll also have Um, it's a train the trainer model so we will have capacity to um within our own. capacity to um within our own District have staff who can deliver that training throughout the district so and it has been offered as like a 301 professional development course, um for multiple years as well. So really grateful for that partnership. It's also a great asset for the community. Uh, First Responders will be providing information about uh,

the locations of all the stations throughout the district and um, when if there was an event in the community even not like in our school district, they could understand there's an asset here if they need those. Um, and so, um, that's something that our community Maps where those will be at and we hope to see more of these stations throughout the community as well. Um, we have communication highlights. I think Troy you're gonna pull that up and I need to um I think we want to is that the order no go back. Sorry. I think we want to is that the order no go back. Uh, we've had uh, uh, our high schools have had a very successful winter athletic season and uh, the rivalry games that we have obviously, uh, draw a lot of

community interest and so, um, I know uh, our Communications team was out, out just to grab some great photos of that and it's not just uh, uh athletes on the court, but it's your your pet bands and your your cheer squad. Um, it's um, just a really amazing event, uh that a lot of students are involved in so so, um, I want to thank our team for grabbing some information about that and um next highlighting a partnership with The Literacy Center and KIPP elementary school. They're offering adult English as a second language classes. Um, those are held on Wednesday evening and began in January. Um, we had 2, uh FUSD schools designated or rated as an a school. Um based on the student performance during the 2022 2023 school year. Uh, so congratulations to Elementary

and Marshall Elementary, both of those are repeating as a schools. Uh, and so as we were out to present, present them with their uh a banner, present them with their uh, a banner, um, We were able to celebrate and also challenge them to become a 3 peat. This is 1 of our talented students, uh at Coconino High School. School, uh J M that is and uh he um, was Was 1 the 2023 Congressional app challenge. Um, and so um Was 1 the 2023 Congressional app challenge. Um, and so, um, he designed an app that uh help would help with Cody so, you know, you know when you're Uh word processing and it might suggest uh words that might come. come next in that sentence. This is like an app that would do that for different

code might give you some options. what might come next. So, uh, let's see the more he's been you know, Building computers and and software, um design since a very young age. So again a very talented uh ninth grade student. at Coconino High School. Wow. uh, we're past our 100th day of school and uh some of our uh kindergarten uh, kindergarten classes, uh like to invite uh a well-known superhero Zero the Hero to come and uh celebrate the successes. They've had and to show off their math and Counting skills and uh seems like zeros, um, Counting skills and uh seems like Zero's um costume or his uh superhero uh, superhero outfit, you know is getting better and better each year. Um, Susan do you want you highlight this this? Um, Susan do you want you highlight

this? This is uh, kind of a recognition program through our exceptional student services. services department and I'll let you go. Yeah, it's brand new. new. We um, wanted to find a way to recognize staff members. It doesn't have to be exceptional student services. members gen Ed teachers, uh par professionals. Um, and so we had a application base. Um, we had a application base, um recognition where people uh sent in um, who they wanted to nominate and our leadership team made a decision, um on who they chose, so, team made a decision, um on who they chose. So I'm holding the plaque you can see there's 1 named there and that's uh Maya from nols. Um, so her name is on there now and we'll be um, Uh housed at nulls until we pick another uh

person the next second part of the year. She got an award. Um and just spent some time explaining to her why everybody thought she was so was so great. It was all the way from uh, she works. individually with a student. Um at nulls that has some individually with a student, um at nulls that has some behaviors and she's just so calm and caring and dedicated and she also has just been a great person to have at nulls as a staff member. She's painted murals, uh in the hallways and so just from 1 thing to another she was just a great um person to receive this award. So we were excited to give it to her. Thank you. a Our next were uh featuring, um our interior. Our next were uh featuring, um, our interior

design students from Coconino high school as they prepare for their uh State FCCLA leadership conference, um this spring Their task will be to design a humane society that will be judged. And so I think they were doing some. scouting and uh getting to hear from the pets themselves about um, what the they would prefer longer dog runs all kinds of kinds of stuff. So, um, but just shows the um in our Career Technical education programs those Partnerships that we have, um in our community and have um in our community and we wanted to feature that as this as well. Um, and again really just proud of our

student athletes their coaches. coaches, uh, their families and their skilled. for just the great support. Um, for just the great support, um wrestling as a former wrestler. It takes a lot of commitment and perseverance. Um, it's it's 1-on-1. So, you know, um, You know, there's no 1 to blame if the match doesn't turn out like you uh hoped um that you just get right back at it with your teammates. it with your teammates and then continue to work hard. So proud of our student athletes. um next is Um, next is our Chartwells interns, uh, providing, um our mood boost and I see Taran. Would you be willing to come uh, and explain a little bit about the mood boost program at the Thank you. not Not aware. This is going to be I know um

Not aware. This is going to be I know. Um, we have 2 awesome mph interns from now. mph interns from now. Um, they came up with a research project that was approved by FUSD and now so they surveyed children before um, beginning this program and then it's 5 weeks and they're working with the faith grade students over. over at Kenzie, um during their PE class, so they're doing a a nutrition education taste testing and then doing activities, um and are doing activities, um, while the students are taste testing and then at the end of program, they will be um serving the kids again. creating curriculum to keep this going I'm very excited about it. Thank you. Again some more High. Again, some more highlights of our our winter athletic season. Um highlighting our soccer programs

again a lot of success. Um on the pitch. Would that be the correct term? Yeah, uh and uh um Um, we're excited. Um as kind of the Um, we're excited. Um, as kind of the the playoffs are starting. Um, starting, um, um, both Flagstaff High Schools boys and girls girls team are um seated number 1 going into that tournament, um, and um again seeing success tournament. Um, and um again seeing success at all 4 of the teams that we or bar. teams that we or varsity teams. There's I guess JB and other teams as well. Um, we spoke about the day at the capital. So just a few. pictures, uh of our amazing. Um, pictures, uh of our amazing, um students. I know um some of our students of our students um from the Flagstaff

High School Native American Club dressed in their their cultural dress and uh, they received a lot of compliments from other, um public school students from around the state even students asking to come and if they could take a picture with them and we were proud to take a picture out. Um right by the code. talker, uh statue there. Um, and then you can see us up in the gallery. Uh, the gallery, uh, getting a picture, um when we were getting our of the House of Representatives and And last slide want to highlight our student athletes who participated in the Special Olympics, uh cheer competition. that was held at so now a middle school both current fusc students and alumni, um able to uh work together on their cheer and dance routines and uh, just so

fun to see the this passion excitement of our students as they challenge themselves and have success. and then I think that wraps up our uh Communications update um in update, um in my report. I also included the enrollment update. update because the timing school and cancellations, um there there was uh, the 100 day count and the 1 on 110 day. included any questions, I thought the the uh highlights were nicely done and thank you. you. Great. Thank you very much for suggesting that we have. them at the meetings. I am so thankful. These are great. pictures and I I really appreciate highlighting our wonderful students and staff and you know, this is why we're here these these are the people why we're here. So I really appreciate it and some great things are happening in

this District. Yeah. I'm just think Madison and Joshua, they're a dynamic team of 2 who are out everywhere. Really proud of the photography of our students and we featured that on our website social media. Um, and it's just not a picture just tells much more than than I could just listen to me. Absolutely. I'm very thankful. I was I'm glad that you went through them all because it's that's important. We want to make sure that we highlight all the great things that are going on here. All right moving on to governing board member reports anybody. anybody want to start. I will um participate in the legislative. the Capitol. Um, I'd like to give a special shout out to the students that came they were they were pretty incredible, um for that and I hope that

they got a little bit out of that. Um also participated in the camp, Colton. oversight meeting and every time I go to that meeting I'm just more and more impressed with how that is coming along and and I cannot wait to see the finished product of that as it's really gonna be it's already a special place, but it's even going to be more amazing and special when it's done. So that's all for me. I'll go next. Um, I can't remember if our transportation committee meeting was between the last meeting and this 1 but I but I think I missed a meeting so I didn't get to talk about it. Um, but I did attend that meeting a couple weeks ago and we have another 1 coming up in 2 weeks. We talked a lot about

kind of some of the um things that the school sites are seeing as far as with our switch to um, having students utilize public trans. and um 1 of the things we talked about, um were start times and perhaps changing that around to make it um a little easier for kids to be able to utilize the mountain Line schedule then we also talked about safety as far as some school Crossings and I was able to chat with um, Martin inset the city and talked about um their plans for a potential crosswalk across Humphrey's to hopefully help with um student safety because they get dropped off on the other side and then I'll have to cross to go over. high. So, um looking forward to another high. So, um, looking forward to another um transportation meeting

where we can kind of continue to problem solve, um around those issues and then I also attended the bond oversight committee meeting last Tuesday. We got some great updates on progress with um appraisals for the Kinsey School site. Um, School site, um, trying to think what else came up there was a lot of conversation about the Marshall, um, the current current Marshall Elementary building and what might happen to it after those over and so just want to make sure folks know that that's conversation that um, we will be involving the public in probably late summer early fall. It's not something we are going to be deciding right now. Um, and that we do want to get a lot of feedback from the community about um what they see but also our school Community about what

they see but also our school Community about what they see as needs as well. So, um, I think that's it. Thank you very much, Dr. Gilmore. Uh, I attended a camp called meeting. It's so impressive the diversity of the people that are working on that project and how they support each other and ask excellent questions that I have a good ideas are. Yes, they you know, they they worked on color choices for inside. They talked about the the lighting and even about uh, are we thinking about how we're going to light? But also we're going to order extras because if something goes out we had in 10 years. We need to have something that matches and and why they go out why they go they go out in this kind of thing. Um, I did

attend the super as we all did attend that superintendent. super as we all did attend the superintendent's mid-year evaluation and um, I want to thank Miss Stevens for doing a draft. draft for us for the South Beaver School funds and I hope that that maybe that can go I don't know if it has but could go on to the uh Bach committee because they're I know they don't approve those funds, but I think they're looking all funds coming together and would probably more insight we do share that information with them when the time comes they do see all of the different funds that we're pulling together to get the project done good, but we'll make sure it happens. No. Thank you. Thank you very much. Um as for me, I attended the date the capital.

capital and I will say that I'm very disappointed that our legislators didn't take the time to meet with us. Um, other than the few minutes the the 1 did I had to leave because I had to come back for school I had had to come back for school. I had class myself. I'm sorry I missed out on the bus ride as well. I'm sure that that was very adventurous. Um, Curtis good driver. well, you didn't even notice me when I want went by and talked to you. So I did yeah, J did say there's there's Christine. Um, and I did attend um the evalu Um, and I did attend, um the evaluation time that we set aside for the superintendent. um and some personal things here. I will never apologize for being inclusive. I will

never apologize for doing what's right for our students. And as far as the esa goes, I will continue to make people aware of what people are spending this money on. Um recently some questions came about about spending money. so that a parent could travel abroad taking a printer what kind of printer should I get to take a broad with me with my students so I can print About attending out of state universities. About attending out-of-state universities because Esa money. Somehow can pay for some college. Not dual. Somehow can pay for some college not dual enrollment. But actually pay for in-state colleges. That's not something that's offered to our students even at the the community college level and it should be and shame on the legislature for doing this shame. on Tom Horn for doing this

and I advocate everyone to out there and vote. To make sure that these Esa funds are used the way they should be used. And to stop taking away from the public schools. That's all I have to say tonight. Thank you with that. I I think that we are. At the point to adjourn no future meeting dates dang. At the point to adjourn no future meeting dates. Dang it you are so so close that to me to to me being upset about your inclusivity on what you're sending out of distinctions. to whomever needs to hear it. We're not allowed to have a back and back and forth so we know we're not allowed to talk about we're not going to get an answer on mine if you could email us. email us I did and I

didn't get a response. I don't I didn't email from you know, you know, like each 1 of your IND individual. It's on the website school district and none of the people that send anything by anything that yeah. on the website. It's not going to be sorry. So who are upset about this. I'll make sure that this room is full next to me. Bring it on. We would love an email so that we can get back with you. I will never apologize for being inclusive. There we go so future. There we go. So future meeting dates, do we need anything? We have a meeting next week. scheduled and then and then um anything beyond that. Yeah, yeah there we scheduled the executive session to just talk about right salary negotiations. talk about right salary negotiation. So

I think everything we have on the list is when did we schedule that March 7? It's on make sure I have that. Yes, I have that. Okay. All right. Um. All right, um a future agenda items. I have a couple um, so 1 of the things that um, I know I think superintendent Pensa updated us about was a rule change as far as free lunch goes and how um, they the federal government changed the percentage of students that are needed to qualify in order to be able to offer. Um, the free lunch program to all students just like we do at some of our schools now seems like we might be eligible to it at more schools. And so that's 1 of the things I'd love to to see on the agenda. Um, and I

think that that's probably going to be coming up anyway with our um contract r for um for our procurement process for um Food Services. and then I would also like to um talk about The possibility of having like partnership highlights. So I know that we have a lot of amazing programs with like parenting, Arizona. Chatous Picasa, right? Oh, yeah. Um, I know that we have Partnerships with like homeless youth connection and um, Nic and and um, some of these folks might be too busy to come and do it themselves, but I would really love if they came and kind of gave us an update about what they're working on. the schools. Um, and what the schools. Um and what they see as uh growth opportunities even would be really great. I just think it would

be really cool for us to be informed and kind of hear about about that. Um, 1-on-1 if they're able and then of course if you know, some of these organizations are small and strapped for time and so, um, even if just staff give us an update I think would be really cool and then the other the other thing I did just want to I don't think it's a going to be a possibility to have it be an agenda item, but I do think it would be really good to go over with core. more time just to make sure that they're really sure about their their dates because I would hate to see us uproot like, um fja if we're going to miss our deadlines anyway, so I would love to make sure we have a

really good understanding that we've padded our schedule as far as construction delays go It would just be such a bummer to do this and then still not make it into the school until after winter break. Anyway, if that makes sense, um, but I do think that it's really important that um, It's understood that we will face cost increases if we don't hit our timeline that is probably 1 of the most motivating things is that it's our job to be good stewards of public funds and we will see costs go up in our construction if we delay our construction schedule any further, but like I said if we're going to end up, further, but like I said, if we're going to end up facing delays if we haven't had that schedule well enough, I think it's

it's really, um the most respectful thing to take a look at at that and make sure we're doing our due diligence there. if I can add 1 thing to that in regards to fja just to remind people that they have had this contract for a year. They have been aware of this date for a year and I would encourage parents to go to the fja board and ask them. they have it been addressing this for this past year. And I wanted to ask you as well. Um, what kind of I know that we're still working to make some accommodations. Has there been any movement on that? Uh, Mr. Dinardi was going to meet with them. We provided 2 options, uh for relocation within the Flagstaff Unified School District for the month of April through June.

Um, and I just think that'll you know, if that's viable we'll we'll develop a lease agreement that we bring back to the board. Okay, perfect when you meet with them I did meet with them. Uh, we were originally going to on Wednesday, but that got delayed with whether we did meet on Friday, uh late afternoon discussed the second potential space within our district Okay, so, space within our district. Okay, so it would be if if they were to accept and move into these spaces would be uh bifurcated with half their population being at 1 site in the second half being in the other where we have capacities when we can keep the populations between the FUSD students and their campus separate. Okay, and when do we expect to hear back from them I have hear

back from them? I have requested Carissa to get back to me with 1 motion or another this week so we can have a drafted and prepared for likely the board meeting on the 27th. Okay. Thank you very much. Sorry. I just wanted to make put that out there that they've had that that date for a year. And um, it's kind of distressing that parents are putting this all on if USD, but we didn't. You know make them aware of this that we didn't do we did our due diligence for sure. What did the fga board do or not do so I would not do so, I would definitely encourage parents to reach out to that board and ask them those hard questions. So was that all you had Christine? Thank you so much, Dr. Gilmore

anything. Yes. Um, I it's black history month. So I would like to see if we have something going on in the district or would bring it to the next meeting. Um, usually we do something for that. month, um, okay as a board, and I would like to see month, um, okay as a board and I would like to see the property appraisals that uh, you spoke about. Um, I would also also welcome someone from the forest service and um, a local a local our local attorney attorney for Real Estate to come and speak to us about the um difficulties that we have because the property has some deed restrictions on it that are well beyond the dates. We need to maybe make some decisions but need to maybe make some decisions, but I'd like to

have it. Open to the public as we do, but I'd also like to know about it. about it in in detail, and I think it needs to come up soon, uh even before the next. soon, uh, even before the next boc meeting because I think it needs to maybe have some feedback for them as well. Not that we will be making a decision, but just that we will be giving some information. some information and guidance as to what direction we see it going. Okay, that's it. Thank you very much. Um, I don't necessarily have anything right now if anything comes up with me. with me, we'll definitely discuss it with you. At our next meeting and such. so other than that now we can add. now we can adjourn. Do I have a motion? a

motion to adjourn Second I'll second all in favor. second. I'll second all in favor any opposed hearing none. Thank you very much. Thank you everybody for coming. Okay. Thank you. Hi makes Hi makes friends everywhere I go. Oh I was like and I and I'm leaving this here because I got accused 1 time of taking. Oh. Oh God. No, I thought Kurt was gonna have me he was gonna know I have 1 at home and I got home and had 2 and I thought thought oh, that's not good. It's
