001Welcome back. We are here to review this week's governing board agenda. I'm with Mr. Kayes and governing board president Steven Chapman. Let's go ahead and kick it off. The meeting will be at 6:00 at the district office on Tuesday. We'll have our regular opening which includes a couple of celebrations. Yeah, first we're going to start off recognizing Bulldog Nation at Sierra Linda High School. Miss Houts going to talk about all the great things that have been going on at Sierra Linda High School this year. And we're excited to think it's our last school too, so capping it off with Sierra Linda. And then our next celebration, we are becoming the home for heroes. That's true. >> So, you know, we had Anastasia at the last board meeting who who saved the life of a fellow

002employee. And and now we have our coach, Mr. Williams, who has went and and helped with a Peoria police officer that was involved in an accident and he went and tended care to him, pulled him out of, you know, away from traffic, contacted 911. So, we're we're recognizing all of his efforts as well. So, we're becoming a home for heroes here with our recent celebrations. Sorry that those instances happened, but it's good that we're prepared when they do. Yes. Yeah, absolutely. All right, so moving on, it'll be the superintendent's update. And then public participation as usual, move to approve approve the consent agenda. There's a couple of items on the consent agenda you wanted to talk about, Mr. Chapman? Yeah, I just wanted to highlight uh it's our renewal for our uh dual enrollment partnership

003with Estrella Mountain Community College. Uh this provides a lot of data resources to share with us and the college about our students to help place them, as well as like setting our rates and the programs that are available. Um the great thing in our district is we pay for part of the credits for students to be able to participate in these programs. Um so, it's another example of how we're investing our dollars to make sure that students are college and career ready when they graduate. I mean, I've seen kids leave with, you know, tons of credits, you know, towards their associate's or even bachelor's degrees. So, I appreciate that our district continues to partner with Estrella Estrella through Maricopa Community College District and was able to offer that. Okay. And there's only one action item

004to discuss on Tuesday, which is evaluation of professional staff members. Yes, and the evaluation doesn't have major changes. It's more technical corrections of of things that needed to move around within the document when the committee was meeting to make it a little bit easier for people to understand when they're reading the evaluation. Okay. Some clarity is good. Thank you for being with us today as we review the agenda for Tuesday's meeting. We'll see you guys there.
