Hi, I'm Sarah Clawson, public relations and marketing specialist for the Talison Union High School District. I'm here today with our governing board president, Mr. Steven Chapman, and Superintendent Jeremy Kais. We have two meetings coming up next week. Our first meeting is on Monday. It's a work study session at 6 o'clock. Our second meeting is Tuesday, also at 6 o'clock here at the district office. We're going to go over the agendas for both of those meetings. So, the work study session on Monday, Mr. Chapman, what are we going to see at that meeting? Yeah, that's just going to be a conversation with the board and our team to kind of go over um uh design concepts uh for um our you know district office facilities um as well as discussing options for uh you know anything
about the district office. So obviously we've been having a lot of conversation um the last few meetings. We did a survey recently. Um so this is kind of like a full comprehensive conversation on everything that we've been discussing, everything that we've learned and uh you know where we are with u all of our design plans and thoughts from the board. >> Okay. Um any other comments to add, Mr. Kais? >> No, it'll just be good to uh get the board's input on where we are moving forward from here. I know people have been asking questions. I think it's a it's going to be a week where they start to get some answers on those questions. >> Okay. And that is the only item on the agenda. There is no public comment portion at a work
study session. Correct. Okay. So that's it for Monday. Our next meeting on Tuesday is a regular meeting at six o'clock and this one has a couple of celebrations. We are going to recognize La Hoya Community High School and also that January is the uh governing board recognition month. [snorts] After that we just have our superintendence report. Um before we go into public participation, any guidance you can offer on the public participation portion? >> Yeah. Uh public participation, uh we do have forms for everybody to fill out. Uh please if you want to speak, make sure you fill those out and get those to um our executive assistant, uh Miss Lita Goodman, uh before the meeting starts. Um we'll collect those and then anybody that's filled out one of the sheets will get to speak during
uh the public comments portion. >> Okay. We also have an information discussion item on the agenda which is facility concerns resolution process. What is that? >> So we've had a you know a couple people speak at our previous meetings where they brought forward concerns about how how good is our Wi-Fi signal at the total pack condensation um at some of the ceiling tiles at the inside the tools campus. So, our facilities director is going to go over that and talk about the process for whenever you see anything on your campus. This is how you put it into work order and and this is how quickly these types of items get addressed. >> Okay. >> Yeah, it'll be good for the community to kind of see that that you know I mean I think if you
know a staff member seeing something or a student seeing something or obviously we do community events, parents see stuff um you know we want to make sure we get those addressed because obviously you know a clean functional campus is good for our students and our staff members. So this learning about this process and sharing that with everybody I think will be really informative. >> Okay, moving on. We have our typical consent agenda items. Those are typically done in one approval process. Um and then you have one action item set for this Tuesday meeting which is approval of the construction manager at risk for the Glendale facility. >> Yeah. And that one kind of be based on the conversations on uh Monday at the work study. Um, this will just be another opportunity for the board
to provide uh feedback and direction for our staff, um, our architect and our, uh, GC. >> Okay. Anything else, Mr. K? >> No. >> Okay. That's our wrap-up of what's happening next week at both of our meetings, the work study session and the regular meeting on Tuesday. We'll see you guys at six o'clock Monday and Tuesday.
