We don't need to review the submission statement or the goals at this point. Um, at this point, we'll uh open the meeting to the public for the discussion of agenda items only. Can I have a motion and a second, please? Motion second. See, all those in favor or abstain? Seeing no one and hearing nothing, can I have a motion second to close the public portion of the
meeting? Motion. Second. All those in favor? Opposed or abstain? All right. Uh Mr. Lane. All right. Uh welcome back everyone. The first two uh items per per the euge are our safety and security drills at JFK and DDE. Uh item C is the monthly reports that were uploaded to the portal for your review. Item D is two new HI reports in this reporting period. Both of them were unfounded. Uh E uh one is our um affirmation of the uh report from last [Laughter] month. Uh under section F number one is a large list of new parent volunteers who have been advanced approved for the for the school year. Uh item F2 is uh to approve a donation that was made for one of our teachers at the middle school. Uh he reached out to an
organization that makes donations to the classroom. Whenever we have that happen, I like to make sure that we get it on the agenda so that we're aware of the of the donation. Uh F3 is to approve fundraisers. F4 is to approve guest speakers for different events at our schools. Uh F5 is to approve the sidebar that I shared with the board uh in our newsletter and that is to train our aids um in I I'm going to say RBT Kirsten, but um to be to be behavior behavior specialists um in the classroom to provide more support uh and also to try and reduce our cost because we we currently use a vendor and the cost is very high. So we're we're looking to drop those costs always. Uh uh item G1 is to approve field
trips. Uh under personnel number one is new hires. So we have uh two uh new preK teachers. One who will start um after the break. Yes. Um because one of our teachers resigned and is and is moving. Another one that will start at the beginning of next school year. And then the BCBA position was a part-time position that is now for next school year going to be a full-time position. Uh number two is to approve a student observer to come in and observe our school psychologist. Uh and item number three is all of our staff renewals for next school year. Item number four is to approve the contract of Megan Solder, school business administrator. That it uh it has to go to the county office of education for approval. And item number five is to
accept the resignation of a staff member. Any questions? Can we do a motion in a second? Um, can I have a motion and a second to approve items XA through XH? Motion. Second. Motion. Give me a second. Um, any questions? All right. Roll call. Um, Mr. Golden, uh, abstaining on E and yes for the rest. Okay. Um, Mrs. Allen, yes. Mr. Phillips, yes. Mrs. Helma, yes. Miss Juliano, yes. Mr. Oriente, yes. And Mr. Davis, yes. All right. All right. On to business and finance. Can I have a motion, a second to approve items Xia through XIG? And I'll go through them. Motion. Second. All right. Um items A through D are the financial report for the month of uh March 2025. Um no line item has been overextended. There are sufficient funds available to meet
the obligations for the remainder of the year. The treasur's report and the secretar's report are in agreement for the month of March 2025. There are no changes in anticipated revenue amounts or sources. Um E is to approve the um payment of the bills which our committee went over this evening and got their double signatures on. F is to approve the March 2025 uh source for teachers listing with the pay rates and bill rates listed accordingly and that list was uploaded to the portal. Uh G is to approve the cafeteria dispersements for the month of March in the amount of $25,4964. H is to approve the care dispersements for the month of March 2025 in the amount of $10,15.7. I is to approve professional development for some of our staff members. Jay is to approve um
a contract for the 24 2425 25 it is for this year which okay because he was on our evaluation. Perfect. Thank you. Um for Huitt Psychiatric this is for neurossychiatric and neuro development evaluation. So this is for current year. Um K is to approve to extend the agreement between uh ESS which is source for teachers and the Burland Township School District for 2526. Those rates are going to be reflected the same as what is here that we're approving. We're not making any changes at this point to them. M is to sorry, L is to approve um the agreement for professional services between Burlington County Special Services School District and Berlin Township School District for the 2526 school year. We approve this every year. This is a bunch of different related services just in the event
that we do need them such as, you know, bringing in another member of the child site team if someone's on leave or bringing in different people to do evaluations and things of that nature. So, we don't always use it, but in the event that we need it, we have it approved. M is to approve the software license agreement with Systems 3000 for the 2526 school year. Systems 3000 is our budgeting and uh personnel software. N is to approve the tuition agreement with Pineh Hill School District for the 2526 school year. Uh these numbers are reflected in our budget and and they match up and both of our supporting documents that have been sent to the county office are in alignment with those numbers. O is to approve the following resolution. This is for um a
resolution with the New Jersey school insurance group. Every year I guess all the money they collect, they always have some type of safety grant which gives money back to the districts that are that participate in New Jersey school insurance group. Um this year we're receiving uh 24.56. We're going to use it to get some um some of our security equipment upgraded within. It's not a whole lot of money, but it's a little something. It could buy a camera or go towards server or things of that nature. Um so, we need to have a formal resolution so I can upload that and get that submitted. P is to approve agreement for professional services between G Gloucester County Special Services School District and Berlin Township School District for the 2526 school year. This is similar to the
uh Burlington County one where they give us a list of services that they offer and then if we need them, we have them and it's we're ready to go. Uh Q is just to approve some budget transfers. Um one is from salaries over to source for teachers. We just talked about this in our uh finance committee. We've been um covering some of our vacancies with um subs from source for teachers. So we're just reallocating funds from salary lines over to um the sub line. And then um Q is just to move from textbooks, which we didn't utilize those funds, over to home instruction. This is for gened students who are currently in different placements outside of the school that the teachers are our in-house teaching staff cannot provide those services. They're getting them from um
the placement that they're at. So, we just needed to transfer funds into the appropriate account to get that covered. Um and then that is it. Does anybody have any questions? All right. Uh Mr. Mr. Golden. Yes. Mrs. Allen. Yes. Mr. Phillips. Yes. Mrs. Helma. Yes. Mr. Juliano. Yes. Mrs. Oriente. Yes. And Mr. Davis. Yes. All right. Perfect. Um, old business. Nothing. New business. We don't have anything for negotiations other than that sidebar agreement, which everyone was aware of, but other than that, everything else is good to go. Finance committee. Um, we went over the budget report, the revenue report. We didn't have any changes to our special ed placements right now. Um public hearing is on Thursday, May 1st. The county office approved our budget. I think it was Tuesday. Advertised budget is sent to
the papers and that will be um published on Sunday 420. So that fills the requirement to have it out three or four days before the actual public hearing. Um if you remember last time when we had the when I talked about finance committee, I talked about the state was releasing this tax levy incentive aid which sounded so good. Yay. you didn't spend all your money, you can get extra money from the state. Well, I mean, it's not it wasn't that great. So, um the gist of it is that yes, you can raise your taxes if you've been uh below adequacy on your budget and have only gone to the 2% cap. However, the state is only kicking in 5%. So, say we asked for a million dollars. Well, the state will cover $50,000 and the
rest falls on the taxpayers. So, we were like, we're not cutting programs. where you know anything that we would have wanted to add would have been you know in addition to and so Adam and I talked and we were like there's no way you can justify um asking for more money when we haven't cut anything you know are there things that we could use and things that we can do with those funds absolutely but it's not it's not something I'm willing to to you know do or take on that additional um burden for the taxpayers so it was too good to be true um and then the grants were continuing to submit those monthly reimbursements No other reports are due at this time. Um, school bus inspections, if you remember last month, I said they
were coming up. We had them in March. Next inspection is September 18th. Um, we did have one person submit for our board vacancy. Sarah is likely coming back. It was more of a force. It was just a conversation. So, we had a conversation the other day and she had asked if anybody had submitted. I said, "No, go ahead submit." So, um, so Sarah is the only one. So, I don't think we need to do an interview, but hopefully um we can get her um appointed at our May meeting. So, I'll be in touch um with you and with everybody else and we'll get that get that ball rolling. Um so, so that's that was finance. I'm I've taken over this whole meeting, guys. Sorry. Um NJ New Jersey School Boards Association. I haven't seen anything
uh come through on that ed services. Michelle, really wasn't any updates. I think they said there's going to be a few updates at the May uh meeting. Okay. And then Pine Hill, Kim, uh Kim's not here. And then Camry County School Boards. I don't think there's much to that. Um anybody have anything for new business? All right. So, now we're going to open the meeting to the public uh for the discussion of non-aggenda items. Can I have a motion to second? Motion. Second. All those in favor? I Maybe you want to decide public. No. Oh, no. But thank you for having me back. I'm excited to be back. We're excited. We're excited to have you join. Excited to have you back. Um All right. So, hearing none. Can I have a motion and second to
close the public portion of the meeting? Motion. Second. All those in favor? I oppose or All right. At this point, we do need an executive session. Just a brief one for to discuss conduct, policy, and procedure. Uh, so can I have a motion, a second to No, we're going to wait. We're going to let everybody go. I'll tell um Jacob and then we'll go ahead and put that. Thank you. Talk to you soon. It's taking me forever to write this email. Once he comes in here, we can I'll make the motion. Once he has a shut down, we'll make the motion to go in. You should be coming. Thanks, Jacob. We shouldn't be too long. So, I'll just let you know when we're ready to go live to be able to just turn it back
on so we can essentially close it We're good to go. All right. Perfect. All right. So, um, no action was taken in our executive. It wasformational only. Um, can I have a motion, a second then to adjourn the meeting? Motion. Second. All those in favor? Opposed or abstain? All right, guys. Have a wonderful Easter. Happy Easter. I'm just happy to not have to get all my kids ready in the morning. It's huge.
