monthly reports uploaded to the portal for the board's review item D we had one confirmed case of uh harassment intimidation and bullying that was at the Middle School uh E1 is uh to confirm last month's uh report of a non-hib a non-f found hi at JFK item number one one on the next page there is the second reading of our two policies that we introduced uh policy updates that we introduced at the way meeting item number two is a fundraiser it's to sell relli hogies uh and that is going to be on Saturday April 5th so this is going to benefit our e8th grade class it's the intersection of bro and rude in route 561 so who's who typically sells hogies there it's um son of ity and fire department does sometimes to so they

agreed to allow our eth grade class to sell hogies on that intersection instead and and um yeah and U Miss um schaer from the middle school has done a really good job like organizing that um and actually all fundraisers theying are the eighth graders making them no they're we're sellies okay so they're just sell you can buy say is the son Italy gonna make them because they're con I agree with that they are um item number three there is our guest speakers for the month item number four is to approve two new school volunteers item number five is for the board to accept a um scholarship of $250 from the Camden County Association of school administrators that's the basically the superintendent um Association um the middle school has uh decided as a committee to give

it out as one student will get a scholarship for highest GPA and then two other students will get a piece of it for best allaround students um at right before graduation this year uh item number six very thankful the district calendar um is complete uh it's it's pretty much directly in line with what Pine Hills doing our only difference is the first day of school is going to be a student half day here to allow our teachers some more time to to get themselves together um we did something a little bit different this year we also are starting in August so the teachers are coming in one day then we'll have Labor Day weekend and then they'll have their second PD day on that Tuesday and really I was really pushing for that and the

and the Teachers Association was in support of it as well because it keeps us away at the end of the school year from that juneth day that we have to observe and so anything we can do to kind of push the start of the Year back is is is helpful um we also we also build in a snow day this year so the day before Memorial Day weekend that Friday right now for next year is a vacation day for everybody if we have a snow day that's where we'll take the first snow day from and the teachers it'll be a half day for students teacher and service in the afternoon so I feel like we did some some uh a little bit more creative things this year um we also have a countywide um inservice

day with um on the day after the Super Bowl so no students are in school the day after the Super Bowl and a lot of different uh districts are are having the in service so if you want if we have teachers that want to go from here to to Eastern because they're offering something they can do that so lot lot of um collaboration this year on the calendar uh under Personnel G one we have uh one person being um approved for a homebound instructor under number two we have the approval of a mentor teacher for a long-term substitute number three uh we have the uh resignation to accept uh under H we have disposal of books which is a normal process each year for the media specialist they go through um and kind of weed

out their their library and then we have to approve the disposal of books for them that's it any questions let me do a motion a second then we get the questions can I a motion a second to approve uh superintendent items XA through X motion second any questions all right um Mr Golden yes Mrs Allen yes Mr Phillips yes Mrs Helma yes Mr Juliano yes M Oran yes Mrs Reed yes Mr Davis yes all right on to business and finance can I have a motion in a second to approve uh business and finance items XI a to xim motion second thank you all right um items a through E I mean a through D rather are the financial report for February 2025 um there are sufficient funds available to meet the district's obligations for the

remainder of the year the board secretary's report and the treasurer's report do match they are in agreement uh no changes in anticipated Revenue amounts or sources are um anticipated a is to approve the payment of bills which all four members of our finance committee reviewed and signed off on item f is to approve the February 2025 source for teachers listing with all of the pay rates as well as the bill rates um listed G is to approve the cafeteria dispersements for the month of February in the amount of $33,600 1 cents each is to approve the care dispersements for the month of February 2025 in the amount of 87432 I is to approve an added District tuition contract for a kindergarten student attending Archway uh the tentative tuition rate between for February through June is

$2,166 63 J is travel and professional development for some of our staff members as well as the related costs for that and K is to approve our tenative budget for the 2526 school year um this is obviously the tenative budget because this has to go to the county office for final review and approval uh this is due on Wednesday so our general fund revenues and expenditures all match as you can see as well as special Revenue due and Debt Service so the total budget is 20, 857,921 10,721 144 and for The Debt Service portion of that which is bonds from um referendums and things of that nature um also the responsibility of the township of Berlin through tax levy The Debt Service is 303,000 we do have that um we need to put in travel

that's been spent the travel expenditure maximum for um 2526 is $3,484 the current school year has expended $223,300 a lot of this money comes from title 2 grants that's use uh for professional development um and then L is the preschool expansion budget planning worklook for 2526 this has to match up in the budget software with the preschool expansion Aid um so all of our all of our numbers have to match up and they have to zero out which you probably saw in the workbook there was no difference between the top number and the bottom number everything was clear uh m is just to approve some budget transfers we needed to cover some additional bus maintenance on our district Fleet so we transferred some funds um from some salary lines and then uh we also had

to cover some subs for Teacher vacancies and the reason it was transferred from resarch room was for a while we didn't have an actual IND District staff member so we were using some of those funds um we were using a sub from ESS so I was able to free up some money from there transfer that into our sub line to make those uh cover those needs any questions [Laughter] all right um Mr Golden yes Mrs Allen yes Mr Phillips yes Mrs Helma yes M Juliano yes Mrs oriente yes Mrs Reed yes and Mr Davis yes all right great thank you um moving right along uh we don't have anything for old business that I can remember um negotiations we don't have any updates right Mr Le nothing with recent discussions okay uh finance committee we

did have finance committee obviously I don't have too much because my budget is done and yeah I had get to breathe for a little bit um we did review the budget report we went over the revenue report all of our revenues are coming in on time um I did discuss that all the budget details kind of a breakdown of some budget details were emailed to you guys last week uh our certified minutes and supporting docs will go to the county office no later than Wednesday which is when they're due and our public hearing the public hearing dates that you're allowed to have the public hearing from our April 24th to May 3rd and our public hearing is scheduled for May 1 so don't forget April we have our Action meeting on the 17th and we

have that special meeting for the public hearing only um on May 1 so May 1 will only be our public hearing lots of quality time together yes yes um and the reason we're not having it on the 24th is because that's sted Spring Break um grants we continue to submit our monthly reimbursements and school bus inspections are on Wednesday so like I told the finance committee we'll be good in the morning to get our kids to school we'll see how the afternoon plays out um it should be fine so we'll have all those done on Wednesday um that was finance committee uh New Jersey school boards I haven't seen anything come out ed services Michelle um we just approved a second reading of a variety of policies uh we approved some students for field work

and there was no other business really great and pel uh meeting tomorrow perfect8 um and then I just put on here Camy County School boards is hosting a hybrid meeting between Gloucester County and Camy County School boards it's on May 6th at 6:45 they're doing it virtually or in person the inperson session is at ad delas they are discussing board member milestones and certifications if anyone is interested in go free food at a yeah it's dinner I think so sign me up let me know if you want to go and I'll sign you up 9 out right from the kids that's right that's right so in all seriousness let me know if anybody wants to go and I'll be I'll be happy to sign this up um any other new business all right uh we're

going to open a meeting to the public again for discussion of non-agenda items and agenda items can I have a motion in a second motion second all those in favor I opposed or abstain seeing none hearing none can I have a motion a second to close the public portion of the meeting second all those in favor I opposed or obain we do not have a need for an executive session this evening so at this point um I need a motion a second to adjourn get you done you know I had a question that wasn't on I remember what about the board seat opening that we're going to post now that we've accepted or acknowledged Mr Jones we'll go over the posting that we did for our last vacancy and we'll get that out um to
