opposed or obain see no public so no comments um may have a motion a second then to close the meeting to the public motion second all those in favor I opposed to obain um superintendent report all right we'll start with our security drills for both uh JFK and DDE there um letter a and and B under C you have your monthly reports that were uploaded to the portal for your review letter D we have uh two new reports uh two confirmed uh hibs for this past month I believe they were both at the elementary school letter A we have uh recommendation to affirm last month's uh hi case that we that we were able to read letter F we have some fundraisers so we have Miss mismatched socks say that five times uh candy grams
uh and also t-shirts water box mod and hats to benefit the Eagles autism Foundation um that's a district y uh letter G item G we have field trips we have a number of field trips we pretty much have everything on the books already for this year so we're just working on a date for one final one but everyone is scheduled uh letter H we have a Personnel uh we have the resignation under number one number two uh we have a leave of absence and and our final item under curriculum and instruction is we uh today we had qac our qac review that we've been working on um getting all the evidence together for them they were here in the building today we should have those um results within the next month or two and one
of the things that we were able to do was fill out a um an updated a scoring form for the instruction in program so they used to only score school districts based on on how you how youve done with your testing like all your testing scores now they're adding progress to the scoring as well which we made progress last year so we ended up going up three points in that so if you're if you're filling out that update it has to be Port approved and that's why it's on the agenda this evening and then I'll turn that into the county office tomorrow can I have a motion a second to approve those items and then we'll see if there are any questions items XA through XI for the superintendence report motion second were there any
questions on any of those items I'm going to do roll call Mr Golden yes Mrs Allen yes Mr Phillips yes Mrs Reed yes Mrs Hof yes M Juliano yes Mr orente yes Mr Davis yes perfect all right business and finance um can I have a motion a second to approve business and finance items xia through XI I don't know what that is second second all right so we have the financial report for the period ending November 2024 um no line item has been overexpanded there are sufficient funds to meet the obligations for the remainder of the year the treasurers report and the secretary's report are in agreement for the month of November there are no changes in anticipated Revenue amounts or sources um I believe the finance committee got through all the bills all right
so everyone did signatures and reviewed so we have the bills list there um item f is to approve the November and December 2024 listing of source for teachers as follows that's their pay rate and the bill rate you'll notice that as of um January 1 I just wanted to put this on there ahead of time for the um addendum for their contract because for uh minimum wage requirements we had to increase that par professional rate so that way it meets the minimum wage um increase as of January um G is to approve the cafeteria dispersements for the month of December 2024 in the amount of $ 31,48 51 H is to approve the care dispersements for the month of December in the amount of $177 4 and then I is just professional development um for
several of our staff members and Associated costs and descriptions of those does any anybody have any questions on um business and finance I do yes so the source for teachers is that how how many months is that four well that's just that's that's just the pay rate so it changes every week depending on how much the total in the bills oh that's um I gotta look at the I don't think I have it with meks I left my cop there yes so these are usually um this one is probably two weeks and then the rest are probably like weekly weekly bills yeah um we have several Aid positions that are still unfilled but we have to fill them based on IEP requirements so some of the teachers I mean some of the AIDS are coming
from source for teachers which is making the bill a little bit higher um but again it all depends on people being out um we had a special ed vacancy for a long time that we were kind of filling with different areas so it's expensive number of M with the elementary school yeah now I have a question about the same thing um different though how are our rates compared to other districts are we comfortable we are comforable we're still a little bit lower than some some of our surrounding rates but um we keep we've gone up a little bit and at some point I said I I can't keep going up with even though surrounding districts are because then that's just going to drive them higher which is just going to continue to drive us higher
but we are very competitive okay as long as we're competitive no we're very competitive we've had much better Success With The Fill rates this year my next question yeah we really have it's actually been pretty good this year um and we have a lot several Subs that are just happy that they they just want to come here which is nice so we have a standing um po of Subs through source for teachers that one to do we have a standing building sub for each building yes we do this there every day no matter what y okay have we thought about maybe hiring another one so we don't have to go through source for teachers if we had well no we have the we have the standing stop through Source there it's yeah I just wasn't
sure if that would save us a little bit of money by not really no okay yeah because then you'd do benefits and all here because they'd be a fulltime employee even though they're like a long even though they're like like a floater um they would still be a full-time employee so not they wouldn't be like a considered long-term sell because they'd be doing something different every day so it doesn't really fall under that same where you're not paying benefits on a long-term salber pension or anything if we hired someone to be that floater they would receive benefits they'd be the fulltime so um any other questions all right Mr Golden yes Mrs Allen yes Mr Phillips yes Mrs reene yes Mrs Helma yes Miss Juliano yes Miss Doran yes and Mr Davis yes all right
perfect um we don't have anything for old business that I can remember um new business committee updates we don't have anything for BTA or BT PSA uh Finance we schedule our meeting for 6:45 because I forgot we changed our time to 7 um so I literally went through it in two minutes um because they were signing bills but I'll go through a couple things here um like I always do um we presented the budget report the revenue report um everything's being received for revenues um up to date uh we didn't have any updates to added District special education placements I just told the finance committee that our budget prep is underway state aid figures will be released on February 27th per statute um and then our 2526 budget is due to the county office on
March 19th uh 2025 for their review and then May 1 I believe is going to be our public hearing if I remember correctly uh more information on budget figures and where we stand will be available at the February meeting um just really closely watching those special ed related costs um looking at increases in obviously salary benefits things that nature do have some concerns because our Assa submission um there was a decrease in student enrollment which I told everybody I think last month or the month before but that our free reduced lunch population um did go up so maybe there'll be a bit of a balance there uh so we're going to watch that closely when those state aid numbers come in we have a performance report due for one of the co grants the S2
grants that's due February 28th I will have that in on time um I think I just have two or three ethics disclosures um to be submitted that's the annual filing requirement so anybody that didn't complete that I've been sending weekly reminders so just go ahead and get that done let me know when you're done school bus inspections are going to be March 19th uh we just went through another round of quarterly to make sure that they were um in good condition and then just a little shout out to our maintenance and custodial staff for working hard to get our Lots um salted and cleared from our snow and ice over the past month so Chuck was here till midnight on came in on Sunday night Sunday night till midnight free and then back on back
on Monday also to one of my bus drivers who came in on Monday and helped clean off the buses um great job by all take to Village um so that was finance committee school boards I haven't seen anything come over through for New Jersey school boards um ed services Michelle we didn't have a meeting in January we do in February Y and I update I let them know that you were still the representative so they were happy they have to update anything here uh Pine Hill Pine Hill we had our reor meeting first for the month but we also had our regular meeting the same night to kind of keep it from having two meetings which was nice um we swore in our new board members which really weren't new board members they were existing
ones that were voted in um we had ethics training that are attorney went over like all of our ethics stuff with us um we of course did all the annual reorg meeting stuff voted president vice president we have the same vice president and president that we had last year Marty and Christine um we also did the teacher um of the year for Uber Brook was Miss Barrett and the staff member of the year was Miss needle Mrs needle she's the media center staff member two great choices yes um one of my sons had Miss Barrett so I I out of all the math teachers I wish more of my sons would have her it just happened so um but she's very good um we have our board retreat is February 1 um Saturday morning I
think it's from 99: to 11:30 um and then the Committees were sent out we get put on our committees then we know what meetings we have to attend um we do our committee meetings virtually the week before the board meeting typically typically it's the Tuesday before the board meeting but I think next month it's Monday because is it New Jersey school board no it's cam cam County School Board is the Tuesday I think so the fourth is that meeting last night we had site council meeting and we went over a bunch of different things graduation was changed to June 18th uh we congratulated Miss Barrett because she's on the site Council for winning teacher of the year uh they had they talked about a brief meeting they had with all the Juniors and seniors after
the holidays um basically encouraging them to finish strong because some of them may or may not be eligible to participate in things such as prom and um the senior trip and other things that they do um they have to be passing with 30 credits to be eligible plus not of course they cannot they cannot be getting in trouble and things like that as well um second marketing period ends next Tuesday project success is not being used as much as they would like it to be used so they're promoting it a little bit more for the kids to use um we went over the course guide they have 10 dual credit courses starting well in next year's course guide and I'm not sure how many are a carrier but there are 10 of them next year's
course guide that no cost to the students if they take this class and they pass with an A B and I believe c as well they get credit for C County College they don't have to pass the AP exam like it used to be um let's see uh junior class will be doing their class picking of their classes the week of February 3rd sophomores will be February 17th freshman will be March 3rd and Berlin they're hoping for the week of March 24th so this still to put that on the calend though State Testing is going to be for the NJ GPA for 11th graders from March 10th to March 13th then they have the njsla they're going to have it April 29th to March 2nd there'll be a two-hour delay both all those days for
well the first set of testing for everyone but the 11th graders and for the second set of testing for the 10th and the 12th graders there'll be a two-hour delay all those days the next meeting is in person in the media center date to be determined because the date that was on the calendar of Mr kru can't make it that day um virtual me the meeting after that will be virtual May 28th um virtual conferences are February 20th starting at 6 PM 8th grade parent night is next Thursday the 30th at 6:30 p.m. senior trip final payment is due next Friday they have about 30 students currently almost paid and she's thinking by next Friday she'll have 40 and that's the end and tomorrow is RAM for a day the seventh graders are going that
was mentioned too I do apologize seventh graders are going to high school tomorrow to do RAM for a day where they go and they there's a club and activities Fair they go and they stand in the back of classrooms to kind of see what a high school class looks like it's it's a nice dayst cool all right and then um just for Camy County School boards there is a virtual meeting on February 4th 2025 um with the topic of developing a district strategy for AI so if anybody's if any board members are interested in attending that virtual session please email me because I have to do the registration anything else for new business anybody have anything new business all right um at this point we will open the meeting to the public for the discussion
of um anything related to the agenda or non-agenda items can I have a motion in a second motion second all those in favor I opposed to obain comments all right um can I then have a motion and a second to close the meeting to the public motion second all those in favor opposed or abstain all right so at this point we do not have an executive session this evening so I need a motion and a second to adjourn the meeting motion second all those in favor meeting adjourned is 7:29 p.m. and congratulations Mr Davis a very uneventful first meeting asard President let you get your feet wet a little bit tonight yes I made a not um I
